Real World Chronicles Continued [Modern Day Real World Mod]

Recommended Posts

After they work a show in the area, whether as a permanent part of the roster or a trade through a working agreement or alliance loan, they become active there. I believe I used this technique as Impact, by having a working agreement with NJPW and borrowing Ishii. After the loan was over, I was able to sign him away from New Japan. In a Cverse game, I had RAW run a show in Mexico and all of the workers then became active in Mexico.

Yeah I've done this multiple times myself with Evolve and Progress anytime WWE would release one of their top female talents. Would sign them with Evolve and then loan them to Progress so they'd become available in the UK.

Can't remember). As far as I'm aware, Emi has never worked North America - whether you want to keep those options open as she could potentially work there or base active regions on where workers have historically appeared is a matter of preference, but AFAIK Emi has only ever worked Japan, the UK, Ireland, Thailand and China, and the last two aren't in-game regions.

- On an Emi Sakura front, is there any scope for Gatoh Move to be added in future? Thank you Southside, Fleisch, and all that helped put this together. Love it.

A few NJPW notes (yeah, I have OCD but I do this out of love):

*Adam Page seems like he could use a bump, particularly to his entertainment and camera skills. He's got the look and charisma that could make him a decent star and it's not surprising that WWE offered him a deal recently.

*El Desperado seems underrated. He's quietly had a fantastic year and this extended tag title run seems like a reward for that. Really great basics, smart worker (psych is super low for a great hand-type), very good tech skills to work a rudo lucha style. I'm not a fan of Kanemaru, as he takes too much and gives others not enough, whereas Despy has a perfect sense of how much to give younger wrestlers to make them shine even in defeat.

*Hiromu's charisma is nice but his mic skills 'n' acting could use a bump, as he's so entertaining in backstage promos. He commits to his character to such an insane degree. Would give him either the punk or loose cannon gimmick for heel and bump his babyface performance. LIJ is pretty much straight babyface at this point and people adore Hiromu.

*Tenzan's physical ratings should be closer to retirement than healthy. He basically walks on his ankles at this point and seems to be injured consistently.

*While Tanahashi's push in recent years isn't always the strongest (despite this big, perhaps last, run), he's still way more popular than Okada. Time after time when they're squared off, the fans react huge to Tana and politely applaud Okada. There is a love there for Tana and the fans respect Okada but don't have the same connection, hence this interesting character turn li'l Kazu has played with since dropping the title in June.

TL;DR: Okada too popular, Tana could use a pop boost

*Jim Ross ain't the JR of the Attitude Era. He's constantly making mistakes or going on tangents to complain about what he's commentating on instead of building up the match story. 100 announcing seems very generous at this stage of the game.

*Jay White this year has established himself as quite the violent brawler. He uses his environment well (lots of very good brawling on the floor) and lots of suplexes. Perhaps a bump to his brawling and puroresu ratings and drop his aerial? His entertainment skills seem low too. He cuts really fascinating promos in-ring and backstage. He's not quite deserving of his push but he's come a long way since that disappointing match with Tanahashi at the dome. I think he's got great star quality too. He's being groomed to be the top foreigner (along with Ospreay) should Omega leave.

*Kota Ibushi star quality bump? He has the look and presence of a top guy but has yet to receive it in NJPW because of his freelancing in the past. Now he's right on the cusp.

*Young Bucks entertainment boost? People love BTE and that's based around their entertainment skills. They've also really come into their own in terms of storytelling the past 18 months or so, so I'd argue for a psych boost. Their chain wrestling is top notch, especially Nick's ability to float from one move to another.

*Shota Umino star quality bump. He's the featured young lion and people like Meltzer say he's going to be a future star. I'd agree.

*73 for Naito's charisma. Guy has to be one of the most charismatic workers on the planet, no? Like Okada isn't more charismatic than Naito in pretty much any way from where I'm sitting. He's also been voted the most popular wrestler in Japan by fans and media alike. Fans still love the guy despite an average year in-ring and some pedestrian booking. He should be the most over worker in the country.

You're doing a marvelous job. Thanks again!

Thanks. Glad you are enjoying. I appreciate the detailed post.

The locations were something I decided to streamline and were a work in process before I stopped updating so the lack of them is on me. There is no need for 5000+ arenas, especially when no one runs a lot of them in real life but if that is what you want then download a previous version and import them.

A lot of these are simple little tweaks and fixes that could be done easily, I can see why some of the mod makers feel overwhelmed. It's good to make note of them, and all that sure. Anyway, I'm working on a reworked Impact Wrestling and will share it when I'm finished, if anyone needs it.

What do you mean by working on a reworked Impact? A mod of its own or just a list of changes for southside?

It's a stand alone story, or could be converted. I am basically reworking stats and gimmicks, overness, etc. In my current game that I am testing out, Cody Rhodes and The Elite bought them out and moved the company to Jacksonville to co-run with Shahid Khan, owner of the Jacksonville Jaguars. Shahid Khan would appear as the owner, with Cody Rhodes as the booker.

Change the exclusive PPA contracts in Stardom to normal PPA contract, Stardom wrestlers have been able to go off and compete in other promotions more lately and in terms of actually playing it can be kind of difficult to retain exclusive PPA contracts at the size of Stardom.

Change TJPW to a working relationship with DDT, set the DDT Universe alliance to a Public and Consortium to reflect how the finances/public images of the two promotions are aligned, and create the Ironman Heavymetalweight Championship as an alliance title for DDT Universe (you can pass on adding the title history on that considering the length). The current holder of the belt is Maki Ito.

Agreed. In future versions I'll continue to streamline and cherry-pick other arenas that get run but aren't in at the moment.

Sure, no problem, I’ll do it at home

Thanks DIG, I appreciate it.

Thanks. Yeah, I haven't set someone to dead that isn't or forgot something totally off the wall. Most of the changes are gimmick/disposition/contract changes that are easy enough to make. If you have any learning from your pass through on them I would be happy to update here too.

PSA: If anyone had the expectation that everyone was going to be perfect in this thing out of the box there are a couple things to remember.

1) Any Real World mod is a perpetual game of catch-up. There are 206 inputs per worker times 2,816 workers in the db, so that is 580,096 ways worker data alone could be "wrong" (not counting other pieces of data)

2) Wrestling is more art than science. This isn't baseball where we are measuring spin rate or OPS. People's opinions on wrestler stats, pop, etc... are going to vary wildly just like your take on actors or movies.

The current holder of the belt is Maki Ito.

I'll take another look at Stardom roster. Most have loyalty to Stardom so should be able to re-sign without a problem. Stardom and TJPW wrestlers don't do a ton of crossover to other promotions beyond deals the promotion makes to my knowledge (see someone like Mayu for example). If you have specifics of people who should be open let me know, but I'm more tempted to handle things on the promotion instead of worker level to replicate. Promotions like Sendai, Oz, or SEAdLINNNG appear in way more places.

For TJPW, will take a look. I likely won't add the Ironman title as the title history is a mess (cagematch has even punted on tracking the champs).

Create Charge! tv channel, move ROHs TV contract from Comet to them

Re-do ROH events. Numerals and such are years behind

Colt Cabana and Caprice Coleman should be set as colour only in their ROH contracts

add loyalty to bobby cruise

Beer City Bruiser pop boost. 20 in Tri-State, 15 rest of the US (?)

add loyalty to Todd Sinclair

import Paul Turner, add loytalty and contract with ROH

Will take a look. If you have specifics on the events to be updated that would be great. Thanks.

Since you mentioned arenas, the Rebel Entertainment Complex, which is Impact Wrestling’s usual location, has 5000 attendance in game, and while I have no clue if that’s wrong, i do know that when watching Impact it looks much smaller than that, plus I highly doubt they’re selling out 5,000 seats every taping, so maybe it’s worth a look

Yeah it has a capacity of 2500 so 5000 is too much.

TEW Impact Edits:

1st Row:

Austin Aries - should have about 5 more pop than the next few guys, he’s just a bigger name, mainly because of his WWE stint. BTW I’m pretty sure it was a work, wasn’t initially but seems like it, keep him on roster.

2nd Row:

Johnny Impact, Abyss, Eddie Edwards - Not as big but still recognizable names, I’d have Impact more popular in US than the other two for sure, Canada is probably the same for them.

3rd Row:

Eli Drake, Moose, Brian Cage, Sami Calihan, Konnan, Killer Kross, Rich Swann, Matt Sydal, Pentagon Jr, Fenix, Joe Hendry

Tessa Blanchard (I may be biased here because I adore her, so it depends on you if she’s a spot lower)

4th Row:

Petey Williams, The OGz, LAX, KM and Fallah Bahh, Ethan Page, Trevor Lee, DJ Z, Grado

Allie, Taya Valkyrie, Scarlett Bordeaux, Katarina

5th Row:

Caleb Konley, Crist Brothers, Jimmy Jacobs, Dezmond Xavier, Willie Mack, Desi-Hit Squad

Alisha Edwards, Kiera Hogan, Diamante. Undead Maid Of Honor (KC Spinelli)

Other Edits:

Austin Aries should be the highest Impact worker in the Power 500, no question about it.

After him, in order - Johnny Impact, Eddie Edwards, Pentagon Jr, Fenix, Trevor Lee, Matt Sydal, Rich Swann, Sami Calihan, Brian Cage, Moose.

Gimmicks and Turns:

Allie - Should have higher Crazy and Weird performance, somewhere in the 70’s and change gimmick to possessed or split personality (that’s not officially yet, but its been teased a while now).

Katarina - Change to Heel, any stereotypical heel woman gimmick works.

Scarlett - Gimmick should be Manipulative or Seductress.

I’d personally change her to Babyface but it’s not really obvious til she reveals who she chose to manage.

Su Yung - “Weirdo” is too general, her gimmick is more of an Undead/Deadman (whichever you have).

Taya Valkyrie- Turn to Babyface. Gimmick to Old School Face

Tessa Blanchard - Gimmick could be Arrogant Heel, Cocky Youth etc.

Old School Heel is a bit off.

KC Spinelli - Gimmick to Acolyte

Austin Aries - Gimmick to Egomaniac

Dave Crist - Acolyte or Cult Follower, add Sami as manager

Don Callis - Should have better color stat, he is incredible.

Eddie Edwards - This is my opinion, and I won’t mind if it stays as is, but I think his gimmick is god awful, he cannot pull it off. I’d give it Poor.

Ethan Page - Can be changed to Weirdo to match Sydal. Add Sydal as manager

Fallah Bahh - Turn Face, better acting, babyface and comedy ratings.

Grado - Remove Katarina as his manager.

Tony Cage - Gimmick to Evil Foreigner.

Jake Crist - Gimmick to Cult Follower or Acolyte, add Sami as manager.

Killer Kross - Should get better mic and charisma, he is superb on the mic lately, Star Quality should be higher.

King - Gimmick rating should be average or something, definitely not poor.

KM - Better Comedy, acting, menace and babyface stats.

Moose - I’d give him Turncoat or Flamboyant (just search his last few outfits, it’s amazing), I’d also give him better heel than babyface, he proved to be brilliant as a douche.

Pentagon Jr. - Gimmick to Extremist or Crazy

Rich Swann - Gimmick to Cool.

Sami Calihan - Gimmick rating and mic stats should be better, I’ll give him Great and somewhere in the 70’s.

Trevor Lee - Could be turned Face, gimmick should be loser or disgruntled.

Feel free to jump in and correct what you think I got wrong, plus I haven’t wtached the last 2 shows so I didn’t do anything about Abyss and the new Knockout.
