Hello and welcome to UFC: World Domination. I noticed that there was a lack of a current day UFC game on the WMMA 5 Dynasties board, and thought ‘that right there is an untapped market’, so here I am, ready to start one for you now.

As I said before, this is just a UFC diary, starting in May 2018 which is when the latest Modern Warriors mod was released (if you want to check the mod out, you can do so here). There are a few changes I’ve made to the UFC itself, most of which don’t really matter for the purposes of this dynasty. However, one that is probably controversial is the fact that I have removed the Women’s Featherweight division from the UFC. The reason for this is that there are very few fighters who are actually available to hire (Bellator seem to have taken them all), and the fighters in the UFC’s Women’s Featherweight division are actually made up mostly of 135lbers, bar Cyborg and Megan Anderson. So it is with a heavy heart that I have cut all of the 145lbers, or moved them down to Women’s Bantamweight (sorry Cyborg )

Final thing, just to quickly touch on how the dynasty will be done, PPVs will get full write-ups, whilst Fight Nights will just be summaries, at least until I can get the UFC’s roster numbers down enough to move away from a saturated schedule (more on that later).

UFC - Upcoming Schedule (Q2 2018) <div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="tMyj13K.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/tMyj13K.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> UFC Release Upcoming Schedule For 2nd Quarter of 2018</div> The UFC have announced their upcoming schedule for the part of the year running from now until June. Usually seen as a warm up season, preparing for one of the biggest cards of the year for International Fight Week in July, the UFC have this year decided to go ALL OUT, with two HUGE main events headlining PPVs from Texas and Illinois. Headlining the UFC 224 will be the first Champion vs. Champion fight since UFC 205, when Conor McGregor became the first man to hold two belt simultaneously in UFC History. Daniel Cormier has a chance to join McGregor in that esteemed club, as he moves up to Heavyweight to fight the Champ, Stipe Miocic, in what should prove to be a ground-breaking fight for the UFC's two heaviest divisions. However, perhaps eclipsing that HUGE fight is the planned UFC Lightweight fight for UFC 225, where we may FINALLY see Khabib 'The Eagle' Nurmagomedov face Tony 'El Cucuy' Ferguson. These two have been booked together countless times, only for the fight to fall apart days before it is set to take place. We all hope therefore that this time will be different. Also, sandwiched in between these two MASSIVE cards is a UFC Fight Night offering from New Mexico, featuring a very important Middleweight bout between Chris Weidman and Ronaldo 'Jacare' Souza. From now on, all fights between non-ranked fighters will be dubbed 'All or Nothing' fights, where the winner is allowed to continue in the promotion to fight another day whilst the loser will be cut from the UFC. R2: The first half of the second round sees the two fighters again exchanging strikes, with neither man able to gain an advantage on the feet. This leads Barnett to attempt a takedown on Overeem around halfway through the round (and fight), which he gets and the rest of the round again sees Barnett working submissions on Overeem, who successfully defends them. Much like the first round, this one probably goes to Barnett thanks to the takedown and top control. R3: The third round is once more more of the same on the feet, with both men exchanging strikes whilst trying to avoid their opponent’s output, and neither man being able to gain control. That is until Barnett again hits a VICIOUS RIGHT CROSS, THAT THIS TIME KNOCKS OVEREEM OUT COLD, AND GIVES BARNETT THE KNOCKOUT VICTORY!!!!!!!!! <div style="text-align:center;">Josh Barnett def. Alistair Overeem Via KO (Punch) at 3:07 of Round 3</div> Fight Grade: Decent </div></blockquote> JA: And it’s Barnett who comes away with the victory, and that’s 2 wins in a row for him, albeit a layoff due to a drug investigation being sandwiched in between those two victories. JR: Yeah, and I think Barnett will really want to push on and challenge for the UFC belt once more. He hasn’t fought for the belt since winning it in 2002, and he’ll want to put those USADA issues behind him now, and look forward towards the championship once again. JA: You can be sure of that partner, but it is now time for our co-main event. Alexander Gustafsson and Mauricio ‘Shogun’ Rua are about to fight for a UFC Light Heavyweight Championship opportunity, with the winner being guaranteed a fight against Daniel Cormier in their next fight. JR: This is a huge fight for both men, Shogun hasn’t fought for a UFC belt in 7 years, whilst some would say that Gustafsson is the only man to not only push Daniel Cormier in the cage, but also Jon Jones. JA: That’s right, ‘The Mauler’ has been involved in 2 UFC Championship fights already in his career, with him first giving Jon Jones arguably his toughest fight during Jones’ championship reign, before losing to Daniel Cormier in a tight split decision. However, as the round continues on, Gustafsson (who although weighing in the same as Shogun, has a clear weight advantage) begins to gain a foothold in the stand-up exchanges, countering Shogun with solid hooks and crosses, and constantly feinting, leaving Shogun open for the counter in a round that the Swede grabbed a hold of as time went on. R2: The second round begins with more of the same from Gustafsson, weaving and feinting to leave Shogun open and allow him to counter with his own offense. However, this time Shogun decides to try and take matters into his own hands, getting ‘The Mauler’ in a clinch before wrapping his legs around Gustafsson and pulling the Swede to the ground, leaving Gustafsson in Shogun’s guard. The Brazilian immediately goes for a triangle choke, though it is unsuccessful, and has now given up top control to Gustafsson, who uses it to his advantage, hitting shoulder smashes and the like to Shogun, and making sure he stays busy. Shogun tries for a few more triangles throughout the rest of the round, but they are to no avail. R3: The entirety of the final round is contested on the feet, with more of the same from Gustafsson, continuing to outstrike and outclass Shogun on the feet. As both fighters start to tire, they fall into a sloppy clinch with around a minute of the fight left, and for the remainder of the round, both unsuccessfully attempt to take their opponent down, but with both too tired to really be able to get the other down. <div style="text-align:center;">After 3 round we go to the judges scorecards for a decision… ...All 3 judges score the contest 30-27 to the WINNER by Unanimous Decision… ...ALEXANDER ‘THE MAULER’ GUSTAFSSON!!!! JR: Great performance from Gustafsson, completely dominant on the feet and not panicking when getting lured into Shogun’s guard, staying calm and using his fight IQ to stay in control. It’ll be really interesting to see how he gets on against DC in their second title fight, it should be a great one. JA: No doubt about that, but we have no more time to review what’s just happened, as it’s finally time for our main event. The UFC could be changed forever tonight, if Daniel Cormier can become only the second man in UFC history to hold two championships at the same time, after Conor McGregor. JR: That’s right, but standing in his way is undoubtedly one of the greatest Heavyweights the UFC has ever seen, and in my opinion, one of the most underappreciated fighters in UFC history. Stipe Miocic is the real deal ladies and gentlemen, and he poses Daniel Cormier all sorts of problems. JA: Yes he does, especially because it is expected that Miocic is going to have a sizable weight advantage in this fight. R2: As the second round begins, it is clear that Miocic is going to try and take things into his own hands here, walking down Cormier and pressuring the UFC Light Heavyweight Champion. However, this approach has its limitations, as although he has control of the fight, he begins to tire himself out so that towards the end of the round, he attempts to clinch with Cormier to try and buy some recovery time. However, Cormier muscles Miocic up against the cage and begins to land some heavy blows to the Heavyweight Champion’s skull, and although Miocic survives, the round probably swung in Cormier’s favour thanks to that final minute. R3: The third round begins and both men continue to be relatively even contested on the feet, with Miocic not pressuring as much as he did in the second round in an attempt to regain some energy. However the energy that he has already lost proves to be his downfall, as Cormier slips past a sloppy right hand from Miocic, and hits a POWERFUL RIGHT HOOK, AND THAT IS IT!!!! Josh Barnett Fails Drug Test</div>

It has been announced that Josh Barnett, who defeated Alistair Overeem at UFC 224 by Knock Out, has failed a drug test.

With the failed drug test, the result from UFC 224 has been overturned to a no contest, and Barnett has been suspended for 1 year.

Furthermore, as this is Barnett's 3rd failed drug test in the UFC, he has been released from the promotion, in line with their new drug test policy, stating that if a fighter fails 3 drug tests during any time they are with the promotion, then they shall be released from the UFC immediately.

UFC 225 - Preview

IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIITTTTTTTTTTT'SSSSSSSSS TIME for UFC 225, LIVE from Chicago, Illinois, where FINALLY, two of the best lightweights collide for the UFC Lightweight Championship!!!!!!!

But that's not it, as this card also features a HUGE heavyweight fight, a trilogy fight for one of the Middleweight Division's BIGGEST rivalries and MUCH, MUCH MORE!!!!!!

The card's first fight comes from the Women's Strawweight division, as (#5) Livia Renata Souza takes on (#12) Randa Markos. This is Souza's UFC debut, and the fans will be looking forward to seeing one of MMA's brightest prospects take to the Octagon, but it's not an easy start for 'Livinha', as she comes up against one of the veteran fighters in the division in Markos, who can definitely pull off an upset, as she proved when she beat former Strawweight Queen, Carla Esparza last year.

Next, we move to the Lightweight division, and a BIG fight that could leave the winner one more fight away from a title shot. When (#7) Anthony Pettis and (#12) Kevin Lee fight in the Octagon, that is what they will be fighting for. Both men have of course fought for titles before, with Lee falling to Tony Ferguson in an Interim Lightweight Title fight, whilst Pettis is a former UFC Lightweight Champion, having dethroned Benson Henderson for the belt.

And now, UFC 225 takes a BIG step up, as (#3) Luke Rockhold and (#5) Michael Bisping cap off their rivalry in a HUGE trilogy fight with BIG Middleweight ramifications. It's a free for all in the Middleweight Division at the moment, with Chris Weidman having knocked out 'Jacare' Souza a few weeks back, and with Kelvin Gastelum and Yoel Romero lurking, it's anyone's guess as to who gets the next title shot, but both men can put their names in the hat with a win here.

In the co-main event, it's a Heavyweight collision as former title challenger (#2) Francis Ngannou faces (#11) Alexander Volkov, who's been on a tear recently, having defeated the likes of Stefan Struve and Fabricio Werdum. It has therefore been announced that if Volkov wins, then he will be first in line to face new Heavyweight Champion Daniel Cormier.

And FINALLY, the main event brings us one of the most anticipated fight's in UFC HISTORY. This fight has been put together too many times, only for it to fall apart, but this time it's going to happen. The UFC Lightweight Champion, Khabib Nurmagomedov, puts his title on the line for the first time against (#3) Tony Ferguson, in the fight the WORLD has been waiting for. Souza gets side control off of the takedown, but the round ends before she can do any real damage. R2: The second round begins and again, Markos gets the clinch and pushes Souza against the cage, where she exerts her control again for the first half of the round. But Souza manages to circle her way back to the center, and immediately takes Markos down. As Markos tries to shuffle back the cageside, Souza blocks Markos’ attempted cagewalk, and then CLAMPS ON A GUILLOTINE CHOKE, FORCING MARKOS TO TAP!!!!! JR: It was impressive, even if there are clearly some improvements that can be made, especially to her stand-up. What we saw here though, was just how much potential this young lady has. JA: Yeah, I expect that we will be seeing her at the top of the Women’s Strawweight division for years to come. We now go to the Lightweight division however, and a big fight at 155 lbs. JR: Anthony Pettis and Kevin Lee are about to face off, with both men looking for a win to vault themselves into championship contention. R2: The second round is played out in the same way the first was going until Lee hurt Pettis, with both men trading strikes in an even stand-up battle. Pettis is the main aggressor, pressuring Lee likely in an attempt to stifle the ‘Motown Phenom’s’ takedowns. Both men land strikes, but nothing damaging enough to put their opponent in real trouble as the round comes to an end. R3: The fighters come together for the final round, with both men trading strikes once again, until Lee hits a WICKED RIGHT UPPERCUT, SENDING PETTIS TO THE FLOOR!!! However he then proceeds to practically lay on his opponent for the next few minutes, choosing not to advance his position and staying close to Ferguson’s body as to prevent any threat from submissions. Eventually Herb Dean makes the fighters stand up, but Khabib again takes Ferguson down and proceeds to lay on him and see the round out. R2: The bell rings to start the second round and again, Khabib takes Ferguson down and lays on him for the first half of the round. The referee again stands them back up, but this time, Ferguson defends the takedown from Khabib, who is forced to push ‘El Cucuy’ up against the cage. However, Khabib shows off his wrestling skills by suplexing Ferguson to the mat as the time expires on another dominant round for Khabib, albeit in pretty boring one. R3: Ferguson again does well to defend the immediate takedown from Nurmagomedov, who once again pushes Ferguson up against the cage. However this time, Khabib decides to do some clinch work, hitting Ferguson with short elbows and knees, but not doing enough damage in Herb Dean’s eyes, who breaks up the grapple and restarts the fight in the centre. Khabib again goes for the takedown, and Ferguson again defends and they end up in the same position they were in previously, up against the cage. However this time, Ferguson manages to create some separation and wheel his way out of the clinch. He then proceeds to pick Nurmagomedov apart on the feet, but as the round ends, Khabib gets another late takedown. Probably another round for Khabib, who had more control time and did a little bit more damage. R4: This round begins with Ferguson aggressively taking the initiative, not allowing Khabib any space to work the takedown. Eventually however, Khabib proves to good, and takes Ferguson down again before once again, laying on top of him and not doing much in top control. The ref again stands them up only for Khabib to get the fight back to the ground almost immediately, where he sees the round out on top of Ferguson. R5: The final round goes much the same way as the others, with Khabib taking down Ferguson, this time by catching a kick, before laying on top of him in top control, not doing much. When the referee stands them up again, it is clear that having a 155 lbs monster laying on him for the majority of the fight has had a big effect on Ferguson, who looks shattered and once again gets taken down to bring the disappointing fight to a close. <div style="text-align:center;">After 5 rounds, we go to the judges scorecards for a decision… ...all 3 judges score the contest 50-45 to the WINNER by Unanimous Decision… AAAAANNNNDDD STILL THE UFC LIGHTWEIGHT CHAMPION… ...KHABIB ‘THE EAGLE’ NURMAGOMEDOV!!!!! UFC - Upcoming Schedule (Q3 2018)

UFC Release Upcoming Schedule For 3rd Quarter of 2018

The UFC have released the schedule for the 3rd Quarter of 2018. Among the highlights are the usual HUGE card for International Fight Week, another BIG Champion vs. Champion fight, as well as some excellent UFC Fight Night offerings.

Without a doubt the biggest mainstream fight that has been announced will be the trilogy fight between Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz. Both currently 1-1 against each other, this fight will take place at Lightweight, rather than Welterweight and will main event the UFC's biggest show of the year, on International Fight Week.

Following on from that MASSIVE card however, the UFC haven't let up, giving us an AWESOME Champion vs. Champion fight at the very next PPV, between Flyweight Champion Demetrious Johnson, and Bantamweight Champion TJ Dillashaw.

The Featherweight Championshi will also be on the line during this run, as well as the usual amount of UFC Fight Night offerings, which feature some very INTRIGUING and EXCITING fights, that's for sure!

Kamaru Usman (#18) via Split Decision (Welterweight)</div> A prospect vs. veteran matchup here, with Condit showing that he still has lots left in the tank, doing excellently to ride out the storms when Usman took him down, and schooling his opponent on the feet. Usman gave it a good go, trying as much as he could to get the submission finish in the 3rd, thinking he was down on the scorecards, but Condit used his veterna experience, not panicking and defending anything that came his way in picking up the close victory. After the fight, he called out Darren Till, saying that he's taken down one prospect, and wants to take down another. <div style="text-align:center;">(#3) Jose Aldo def. Jeremy Stephens (#12) via KO (Featherweight)</div> This was a fight to see what Aldo still had left after dropping 3 of his past 4 fights, as well as his last 2, both against current UFC Featherweight Champion Max Holloway. And the Brazilian showed that he isn't done yet, as he put on a whirlwind performance, destroying Stephens on the feet, and knocking him down multiple times throughout the fight before finally getting the finish in the third round. <div style="text-align:center;">(#6) Cub Swanson def. Frankie Edgar (#2) via Unanimous Decision (Featherweight)</div> A big upset in the main event, as Cub Swanson finally got that big win that has been eluding him so far in his career. He dominated Edgar from the get go, never letting up through all 5 rounds, and making the fight look easy. Edgar never seemed to get any offense going, and Swanson picked up the biggest win of his career so far, in a wonderful performance.
