WWE August 2018: Changing History

Recommended Posts

This will be my WWE Dynasty starting in August 2018. I will be presenting this dynasty in a text based format, with some event pictures as time progresses.

Hopefully by keeping my shows short and sweet, there can be a greater focus on storylines and characters.

I am not too big on prediction contests, so I will not be keeping track if anyone predicts.

Starting off, RAW and Smackdown will both be an hour and thirty minutes.

Thank you for clicking on this dynasty, now lets get onto the show!

Summerslam post show report and rumours!

5 STAR WRESTLING WWE SUMMERSLAM POST SHOW

WWE Summerslam 2018 is in the books, and the event has received mostly positive reviews. The build up to the show was a little lack luster, officials believe the actual show was a big success, and built some good momentum going forward to the Fall season. Here is the post show analysis:

BRAUN STROMAN NEXT CHAMPION?

It is believed that the Stroman vs Owens feud has now concluded. Writers and now creating storylines for the Braun Stroman cash in. It is a challenge because both Roman and Braun are babyfaces, so a long term rivalry might not be in the works. Brock Lesnar is expected to resign with the company, and will feature in the RAW main event scene for the time being.

RONDA ROUSEY DISSAPOINTMENT

Backstage officials were “disappointed” with the Ronda Rousey/Alexa Bliss match. It is rumoured that the Banks/Rousey feud will be watched “very carefully” by WWE officials.

STYLES VS JOE II?

The Summerslam main event match of Samoa Joe vs Aj Styles was universally praised backstage by the locker room, along with officials. There was talk of having this match be a one and done, but it is expected that the program will continue.

JOHN CENA/EC3 NEWS

The original plan for the Cena/ECIII match last night was to have Carter go over clean, according to reports. John Cena was not happy with that booking, leading to the DQ finish being used instead. Going forward, it might be challenging to book this feud.

BROCK LESNAR CONTRACT NEWS

Lesnar was “in great spirits” last night at WWE Summerslam, and is expected to resign with the WWE. His current contact expires in a month. WWE is hoping to have the “Super showdown” event have a big time feel, and resigning Brock will help them towards creating that atmosphere.

NAKAMURA IMPRESSES BACKSTAGE

Nakamura is currently seen as a top heel in the WWE, and is expected to have a few big matches coming up. There has been talk of moving Nakamura to RAW, as another program against Aj Styles is something WWE does not want to do at the moment.

DEBUTS AND CALL UPS

At Summerslam, we saw the main roster debuts of Ethan Carter III, Adam Cole, and Tommaso Ciampa. There is rumoured to be more NXT call ups soon. At Summerslam, Rey Mysterio also revealed that he would be returning to the Smackdown brand.
