All members of both parties fought each other with one goal in mind and that is to defeat one another to become the great one. Ishii proved onto Kota that he is superior here as he made him tap out in a intense manner. The match had Satoshi win against his challenger in this tag match, thanks to Nakanishi. Okada tried to attack Satoshi only for him to roll away from the ring. Both men got into various amounts of sequences before Nakamura called for the finish, but Makabe countered with the Lariat. The King Kong Knee Drop didn't connect as Nakamura rolled out. Nakamura and Makabe continued until Nakamura connected with the Landslide before Makabe was Knocked out cold after the Boma Ye connected. Makabe glanced over his shoulder at Nakamura before leaving Nakamura alone. Kojima and Ishii fought good but Ishii tried to dominate the whole match. Kojima had tricks under his sleeves but Ishii tried to counter them as well. Kojima goes for the running Lairat, but Ishii counters with a Lariat of his own. Ishii shows the crowd what he is made of. Kojima looked to tired from the beatdown by Ishii, but came back with fast paced power moves before Ishii could know what hit him for good. Kojima paced around through the corner before connecting with several Lariats to keep Ishii down. Not the greatest match but a good match to say the least. Kojima finally wants some real challenge and asks for Kazuchika Okada as he wants to beat him to make the title even more prestigious and has some beef with the kid. The Rainmaker theme hits and The Rainmaker comes out before Kojima says that he wants to beat the Rainmaker before he can peacefully sleep. Okada says that's not gonna' happen as the title will be become Okada's before you even realize it being gone. Okada smirks, but Kojima tries to attack him, Okada ducks and the Tombstone piledriver connects before the Rainmaker connects and Okada poses down the ring with the "Rainmaker" Pose. Takahashi could not have been stopped if not Michinoku didn't selfishly tag himself in. No Limit took advantage of the situation and that tag caused up a stir between Takahashi & Michinoku, Shelton calmed both of them before both men shook hands. Naito backstage said that this was just a tease, the rest will be up soon.

Minoru Suzuki is fed up to Tanahashi taking the pin everytime and attacked Tanahashi with the sleeper hold before the brawl broke out. Goto tried to make the save but Taichi showed him out of the ring, as he hits the running attacks. Low Ki follows up with Taichi and hits his finish before making himself known as the last man standing. Low Ki says that once he wins the title he will paint it with blood of his fallen enemies.

The NJPW website delivered the news that Satoshi Kojima was against the match that Okada offered him to for the Tag Titles. Okada being furious made sure make the statement into the match as he tormented Satoshi one way or the other. Okada said that Satoshi is too scared for the fact that Nakamura and Okada would win the title right into the match, but Okada says that he will make him eat this words as he will take the once rightful IWGP Heavyweight Title of his.

Takahashi started out the match with good amount of strikes and combos to show Yoshihashi that he needs to learn a lot for the upcoming challenges into the tournament. Takahashi picked up a good win here after the finish landed hard. The match was a decent start to the show.

BUSHI knows that he has been losing too much and on top of that he is also a young lion graduate who is in the same state as Yoshihashi. Koslov attacks with the running elbows and the soviet strike quickly knocked out the Japanese Luchador out. BUSHI says that he is tired of losing in New Japan and wants to do something to chance himself. Koslov says that he is gaining the momentum to win the BOTSJ tournament. Koslov wishes Romero a good luck before taking off.

Gedo seemed to have a game plan during the whole match as to how he controlled and countered the movements of KUSHIDA. Gedo knows that the wins matter here and also since Jado has been retired he needs to be serious so that he can have a good single run as well as to which KUSHIDA couldn't keep up with. KUSHIDA says that he will have to train even more until he gains the win here. Gedo is so happy with the win here that he says he wants to be in the shoes of a champion right now.

Romero and Yujiro, both have battled each other for the IWGP Junior Tag Team before and for the first time are facing each other in singles competition. The match was a good one with both man portraying the high flying, high paced combo inducing shots. Takahashi took the pace to another level to which Romero countered with the submission hold that Takahahsi couldn't get out of. Romero finally got the revenge from the previous loss and now is looking forward to new heights.

This was the match that had Wataru Inoue highlighted from top to bottom as the man continued to dominate Michinoku to a level, where Michinoku started to once get into his own true level. The elbow shots from Michinoku seemed to rock Inoue and gave a good timing to end the match, but Inoue was not gonna' give up that easily and countered back with the attacks that one has never seen before to which the Oracion Flame burned through Michinoku to give the victory towards Inoue.

Both men went on with a bit of handshake before they started the bout as if there would be not tomorrow. The high paced fight took place with Taguchi and Devitt fight towards the corner before snapping Taguchi to the ground, Devitt hits the running Low Dropkick. Taguchi got the chance to hit the superplex that almost had Devitt knocked out. The running elbow strikes seemed to do a lot of damage onto Taguchi before Devitt finally ended Taguchi with the Prince's Throne for the win here. Devitt helped his teammate to his feet and also helped him backstage.

Naito and Shelley started the bout with a little slow movements of attacks that had Shelley on guard. The 8 strike combos from Shelley almost had Naito break his defense off. The running lariat was countered by Naito into a roller which almost had a win, but Shelley got out in time to hit Naito with the striking knee before hitting the DDT to give him a breather. The match paced to the point where both men exchanged punches and smooth kicks that saw Naito hitting the backdrop before the flying forearm strike saw the end of Shelley.

Tiger Mask have been dominated the tournament up to this point and this match was no exception either. Low Ki used some moves to which Tiger Mask had to rethink his strategies before landing an attack. The match had a super great sequence with both men landing strikes into counters into strikes before Tiger Mask finally landed the huge blow to rock Low Ki for good. The end came pretty clearly as Tiger Mask won it in a good fashion. Tiger Mask cuts a promo thanking the crowd for their support and giving him the spirit to win here. Tiger Mask says that he will make sure he wins the tournament and bring back the IWGP Junior Heavyweight title back home.

Kota Ibushi felt the pressure fighting against the champion himself, but couldn't work out the way he wanted to attack Taichi, as Taichi is known a sneaky beast that's gonna' use all sorts of ways to make himself the better looking one. Taichi and Ibushi exchanged some grapples before Taichi snapped Ibushi to the ground and hitting the strong looking kicks to the back to slightly make some damage here. Ibushi used the striking combos and Taichi surely countered them all. Ibushi was amazed that he found a wrestler of the same category of his technique. Both men started a kicking sequence before Ibushi took it to the ground for some submissions, but Taichi soon got his way around the ropes. Taichi quickly hits the strong moves before the signature connects followed by the Black Mephisto for the win. Taichi says that he will win the tournament as a champion to prove his real worth to everyone and also to prove everyone that he will become the real junior ACE of New Japan.
