Introducing Papa Puddin's Real World Mod for Wrestling Spirit 3!

This mod is not only set to be the first of its kind, but looks to evolve, and experiment with the systems in WS3.

While paying homage to the groundwork laid by GDS and Ryland, PapaPuddin looks to push the system further by bringing immersion for casual (as well as the hardcore) fans of Grey Dog Software programs.

Q: What's the difference?!

A: You can now take your rookie and face all your favorite real life wrestlers in Wrestling Spirit 3's Rookie-to-Legend mode. Or if you've wanted to ever be multi-time champion John Cena. What's stopping you!? You can play as your favorite superstars too!

Q: What else can I expect?

A: With the work being put into this update. You can expect a massive overhaul of graphics and constant updates post release. One of the top pet peeves will be keeping move-sets realistic so that people can fully immerse and feel as if they are really challenging The Undertaker or The Rock at WrestleMania!

Q: When is this being released?

A: The set date is September 14th, 2019. A timeline (card subject to change) is outlined below.

Timeline:

Section 1: Move Creation

(February 12, 2019 - March 25, 2019)

It's a guess-imation that I'll find 3000 moves to create for this mod and will have to create roughly 75 moves a day with full description and levels. This will make the rest of the work easier, however, as I want to be able to assign moves to people and create move sets with little adjustments.

Section 2: Company Creation

(March 25, 2019 - April 1, 2019)

To ease the brain after putting in a lot of work on the move creation, I'm going to take a week doing the easier bit and researching Wrestling Companies (as much as possible) I hope to get down to the city level on the North American and very local in the European side of it, as for India, China, and other places? I will find what I can.

Section 3: Wrestler/Move-set Creation

(April 1, 2019 - June 15, 2019)

This is the part where people who want to make a Wrestling Spirit 3 mod get scared and stop doing it. I have given myself a healthy amount of time. What I hope is that they not plagiarize but take this mod upon release and put their own spin on it. I'm predicting with the amount of companies I am going to find, I will need to create 2600 wrestlers and movesets. With the amount of days given, I will have to just create 104 (pray for me Ryland). This is the area that will most likely get stretched to the end of June for sake of SANITY (pun intended).

Section 4: Title Belt Creation

(June 18, 2019 - June 20, 2019)

In June, I'm giving myself this break to keep from wearing myself out and wanting to cancel the project as a whole. And we're going to ease into the fun with just assigning Title Belt Names and Levels. NOTE: I have no intention on adding a title history for belts. That seems difficult.

Section 5: Manager Creation

(June 20, 2019-June 23, 2019)

At this point, I plan on creating the managers of the wrestling industry (so Maryse, Paul Heyman, Lio Rush, Zelina Vega, and Jim Cornette). No, but really I'm going to try to accurately create managers and not have duplicate files.

Section 6: Tag Team Creation

(June 23, 2019 - July 15, 2019)

Yeah. It has to happen. I have to research who tagged with who and soforth. It's a part of the process. My least favorite to plan out.

Section 7: Character Alter Ego Creation

(July 15, 2019-July 20, 2019)

As part of the process, again, we're going to have to research past gimmicks of wrestlers. Hopefully find cruddy gimmicks (like Adam Rose's "Leo Kruger") and add them to the mix.

Section 8: Attribute Sets

(July 20, 2019-August 5, 2019)

The last big go-getter part of the database creation process has been Attribute Sets! It will take a lot of oomph to finish strong with this side of creating the mod. But I believe it's doable! I'll just have to rock back and forth in my chair and remind myself that it helps immerse into play.

FINAL SECTION: Graphics Over-Haul

(August 10th, 2019-September 14th, 2019)

The very last chunk of this mod is to let the player feel as if he is getting a almost different gameplay experience while still receiving the same work that Greydog put in. I wish to put in more visually appealing looks to the software and therefore will look to take the last 35 days of this timeline to do a graphics over-haul.

Conclusion:

In my timeline I accounted for thirty percent error among each section, meaning I gave myself 130% of the time to do the work encase of needing time off or error while still following this plan.
