Hmmm...now I have to guess who the 4th Horseman will be. Unless you bring Tully back in, of course. Sadly, it doesn't look like the Hollywood Blondes are in your plans. They're always high on my underrated tag teams list. Those two were destined for bigger things, obviously, but I really loved that tag team.

Nice use of Dustin since you'd already turned Luger heel since a)they were kayfabe friends and b)had already had their big feud when Luger got dumped and replaced by Windham in the 4 Horsemen. Thought I'd mention that last part in case you were thinking of putting Lex back as a Horseman.

I considered Hollowood Blondes as soon as I did the Pillman heel turn, but held off. I have a larger storyline in mind here, though I'm unsure what will come from the short term. Lex isn't in the plans here and unfortunately, he's someone I keep forgetting about. Ross and Schiavone question when this entire situation will be brought under control while Ventura questions why Dusty Rhodes continues to get involved despite his desire to be a part of the executive committee here at WCW.

Sting makes his way to the ring with purpose and ensures everyone that the Stinger will move on tomorrow at Clash of the Champions to defend the NWA World Heavyweight Championship against other competitors. He mentions Ric Flair and even his best friend Lex Luger, to a decent reaction from the crowd. Sting ends his promo by going to the middle turnbuckle and yelling out to the crowd...

Rick Rude struts onto the stage and casually makes his way down to the ring. Sting meets Rude as he enters the ring, saying something to Rude while pointing at the title around his waist. Rude takes the mic from the mat and reminds The Stinger that his time as champion is over, and tomorrow he will usher in a new era in WCW, then hits Sting with the microphone causing a back and forth brawl much to the delight of the crowd. Sting hits Rude with a huge right hand which drops Rude to his knees, where Rude hits Sting with a low blow, dropping Sting to the mat. As Rude gets up, he reaches over and grabs the NWA World Heavyweight Championship from the mat, looking at it as he stands up next to Sting. Rude then looks out at the crowd and smiles as he goes to hold the title in the air, but Sting hits Rude from behind, causing him to drop the belt. Sting hits the ropes with great momentum and sends Rude out of the ring with a clothesline. He immediately picks up the title and lifts it in the air leaning over the ropes yelling at Rude, who yells back from halfway up the ramp.

Dustin tells Windham that he has his back, in a fight against a group that many would not want to get involved with. Sid Vicious vs. Barry Windham

Barry Windham spends the first half of this match taking a beating from Sid Vicious in this decent match. When it looked as if Sid was going to put Windham down with a Powerbomb, Windham is able to counter with a backdrop and build momentum with the crowd behind him. As Windham gets big Sid up on the turnbuckle for a Superplex, Arn Anderson hits the ring and attacks Windham causing a disqualification.

As Sid and Anderson continue to beatdown Windham, Dustin Rhodes sprints out to the ring for the second week in a row to a decent reaction from the crowd. He enters the ring and sprints towards an unaware Sid Vicious and lands a Bulldog! Anderson takes a swing at Rhodes, but Rhodes ducks and nails Anderson with a Bionic Elbow. With Anderson down and Sid getting back to his feet, Rhodes grabs Windham as they exit the ring, playing to the hot crowd up the ramp, as they get the best of the Horsemen again.

As Hart is on the second turnbuckle celebrating his victory, Vader hits the ring with Paul E. Dangerously calling the shots. Hart sees Vader hit the ring and launches at Vader with a Moonsault Crossbody, but Vader catches him! Vader tosses Hart on his shoulder and looks to be going for a powerslam, but Hart is able to fight his way out and slides down Vader's back. As Vader turns around, Hart starts throwing punches at Vader with minimal effect. Hart lands a standing dropkick but it does little to move the monster Vader. Hart hits the ropes and rebounds with a spinning heel kick which staggers Vader back a few feet. Hart hits the ropes again but is but with a monster clothesline this time, which lays Hart out. Vader picks up Hart and delivers a thunderous Powerbomb as Dangerously enters the ring.

I haven't ruled it out, as I need some more top heel teams to make a Steiners' loss be legit. I pulled the trigger here a bit early when it comes to Dustin & Barry. I have a larger storyline in mind here, though I'm unsure what will come from the short term. Lex isn't in the plans here and unfortunately, he's someone I keep forgetting about. I unconsiously don't like him, I guess.</div></blockquote> I think most people outside of The Mod Squad dislike-to-hate Luger so you're in a large club. I wrote him off in my 91 diary (as I do in most games) and sent him to developmental because his stats are poor for a ME. You're doing a great job so I'm sure everything will make sense.

Despite Pillman's struggles recently, he starts the match very focused and reminds us of the Pillman we saw earlier in the year. As the match continues, unfortunately, Pillman begins to unravel and lose focus of the match. This allows Austin to take advantage mid-way through the match and maintain control, defeating Pillman via submission at 13:26 with Hollywood and Vine.

A somewhat unexpected opponent in Lex Luger, Anderson takes his time getting into the match, playing mind games early. The match has great back and forth and it's Anderson who gets the late-match advantage hitting a DDT out of desparation. As the referee counts, Anderson is the first to his feet at a 6 count. As he picks up Luger and sets him up for an irish whip into a Spinning Spinebuster, Barry Windham walks onto the stage, distracting Anderson. Anderson can be heard yelling to Windham "You're in over your head, son". Anderson whips Luger and Luger hits a clothesline off the rebound! As Anderson stagers to his feet, Luger sets him up and delivers a Piledriver for a three count at 18:29 to become the new NWA World Television Champion!

Tony Schiavone: Now Jesse, Barry Windham is doing what he has to do to prove himself.

Ventura: You know what Schiavone? Maybe when Flair is finished beating Barry Nobody later tonight, he'll come up here and put you in the Figure Four Leglock.

Ross: Folks, the next match has been something that has been brewing over the course of the last few months Tony, and I'm talking about Dusty Rhodes and Larry Zbyszko.

Schiavone: Right, and I think what we're about to see is the end of this saga.

Ventura: Good Schiavone. Maybe Rhodes will crawl into an office downtown and never be on WCW TV again.

Ross: Now Jesse...

Ventura: No Ross. Dusty Rhodes has done nothing for this company, but claim he's winding down his in-ring career, then wrestle consistently. If he can't hack it as a leader of this company, maybe someone else can do it for him.

Ventura: First thing I'd do Ross is fire Schiavone.

Schiavone: I think it's time to head down to the ring, and Gary Michael Cappetta!

Dusty Rhodes vs. Larry Zbyszko

It's a battle of head games to start things out, as Zbyszko keeps louring Rhodes in and then stepping between the ropes to get the referee to back Rhodes up. As Zybszko does it the third time, he hits Rhodes with a closed fist as the referee was getting between the two men, which allows Zbyszko to begin wearing down Rhodes with his mat work. Zbyszko attempts to go for the LarryLand Sleeper multiple times, but Rhodes is able to fight out of it, showing this match isn't over yet. Zbyszko hits a swinging neckbreaker and then picks up Rhodes and attempts a Piledriver. Rhodes easily backdrops Zbyszko and begins landing punch after punch to the reeling Zbyszko. Rhodes backs Zbyszko into the corner, where he climbs up and hits him with 10 punches, then an elbow! Rhodes climbs down and hits Zbyszko again with another elbow! And again! And a fourth time! Zbyszko is out on his feet, slowly staggering towards the center of the ring, where Rhodes hits another elbow, taking Zbyszko down. Rhodes then hits a Bionic Elbow at 11:52 to pickup the pinfall victory!

Paul E. Dangerously and his client, Vader, come to the ring for the upcoming United States Championship match. Dangerously, always walking swiftly and with purpose, grabs a microphone then stops in the middle of the ring mid-stride to look around at the crowd.

Dangerously: I present to you all, the monster Vader. The man who will not only become United States Champion tonight, but Vader will hold that title until he decides he doesn't want it anymore. This man is the example of a menace that can destroy anyone put in his way...

As Dangerously is talking, Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat's music hits which upsets Dangerously.

NWA United States Championship

Vader w/Paul E. Dangerously vs. Rickyu Steamboat©

Vader and Steamboat play a game of cat and mouse for the first few minutes of this exceptional match, as Vader keeps trying to trap Steamboat in the corner, but Steamboat is just too fast. Steamboat stays lightening fast throughout the first half of the match, able to get decent offense in on a Vader who has no answer for Steamboat's speed, but Steamboat's offense is not too damaging and is just upsetting Vader. Finally, Vader is able to catch Steamboat when he goes for a Flying Crossbody. Vader hits a powerslam, which gains a two-count, but the damage has been done; Steamboat is grounded. Vader works over Steamboat for the next few minutes with some huge clotheslines and sends Steamboat into the corner, followed up by an avalanche, dropping Steamboat to the ground. Vader climbs to the middle turnbuckle for the Vader Bomb, but Steamboat is able to roll towards the center of the ring. Vader drops a big elbow drop on Steamboat's lower back, then picks him up to setup for a Powerbomb. As Vader lifts Steamboat, Steamboat is able to get momentum on his side and slide down Vaders back. Steamboat hits the ropes and goes for a clothesline, but Vader just steps up and lets Steamboat run into him, sending Steamboat crashing to the mat. As Vader sets up for another Powerbomb, Steamboat falls to the mat. Vader reaches down and lifts Steamboat up, grabbing him by the throat. Chokeslam! With Steamboat laid out in the ring, Vader heads to the turnbuckle and climbes to the middle rope. Steamboat is way too far away for a Vader Bomb. Vader....Vader is climbing to the top rope! VADERSAULT! 1...2...3! Vader pins Ricky Steamboat at 21:19 to become the new NWA United States Champion!

Not the surprise we may have been expecting, but this is an opportunity for The Southern Rockers that they don't get that often. The Southern Rockers are very methodical with the beginning of this match, maintaining control and cutting the ring off on Scott Steiner. Steiner is taking a beating for the first 10 minutes of the match before Scott is able to tag in Rick. Rick Steiner begins cleaning house to a hot crowd, with one Steiner-line after another! With Rex King out of the ring, Scott Steiner is tagged in and the Steiners get ready to hit a Steinerizer when Harlem Heat hit the ring attacking the Steiner Brothers causing a disqualification win for The Steiner Brothers at 15:53. It's clear that Harlem Heat are not happy they lost the titles earlier this year and want to remind the Steiner Brothers that they are still here.

Ric Flair vs. Barry Windham

Ric Flair, looking as confident as ever stares across the ring at an intense, yet focused Windham. The match has an exceptional slow build with chain wrestling between the two is a stalemate for quite some time before Flair is able to get the advantage with a chop block to the back of Windham's left knee. For a short period after, it was all an academic beatdown by the Nature Boy, as he works over Windham's leg. Flair goes for a Figure Four Leglock, but Windham grabs Flair's hair, pulling him into a small package! 1...2...Flair is able to kick out! As both men get up, Flair hits Windham with a knife edge chop, which is answered by a left hand by Windham. Another chop...left hand...chop...left hand...left hand...Windham has Flair rocking with another left hand. He sends Flair into the ropes and hits a huge backdrop! Flair immediately gets to his knees and puts his hands in the air. "Nooooo..." he begs Windham as Windham stops a left foot into Flairs chest. Windham grabs Flair and sets him on the top rope. He climbs up and hits a Superplex! It's over! Windham goes for the cover....there is no count. On the ring apron is Sid Vicious, distracting the referee! Suddenly, Dustin Rhodes comes to the ring and pulls Sid's legs out from under him. The referee races over to Windham. 1...2...Flair's shoulder is up! This delay looks to have costed Windham a three count. Windham gets up and looks over at Rhodes and Sid outside of the ring just as Sid nails Rodes with a bog boot! Windham walks over to the ropes and stars yelling at Sid. Flair is up and nails Windham ion the back of the left knee again. Flair slaps on the Figure Four Leglock and the damage is too much, as Windham gives up at 24:24.

NWA World Heavyweight Championship

Rick Rude vs. Sting ©

As the bell rings, Sting rushes Rude, picking him up and driving him into the corner, before hiting him with a variety of punches before the referee is able to separate them. Sting is hot. This match has been building for most of the year, and Sting is tired of Rude's underhanded tactics. As Rude comes out of the corner, Sting hits another right hand, then sends Rude into the ropes...gorilla press slam, Rude rolls out of the ring to collect himself while Sting plays to the fans. As Rude re-enters the ring, him and Sting slow things down as Sting takes control with a side headlock. Rude is able to counter with an irish whip that he athletically leap frogs over an incoming Sting, thjen catches Sting on the rebound...gorilla press slam! Sting gets to his knees and Rude points at him, then points at the crowd, then motions for the title around his waist. As the match continues, Rick Ride is able to get the upper hand on Sting following a won Greco Roman knuckle lock. Both men put on a clinic with in-ring performances worthy of being NWA World Heavyweight Champion. Rude whips Sting into the corner but it's reversed. Sting comes running in...Stinger Splash! Rude doesn't go down, so Sting hits the other corner again and comes in again...another Stinger Splash and Rude collapses! Sting grabs Rude's legs and puts on the Scorpion Deathlock! He has it locked in, Rude is in trouble. After about 5 seconds, Rude is able to power his body up and makes his way to the ropes, but Sting pulls Rude away and sits back down. Again, Rude powers up and heads to the ropes, this time making it! Sting isn't letting go. 1...2...3...4...Sting releases the hold with a warning from the referee. Sting reaches down pulling Rude away from the ropes and goes for another Scorpion Deathlock, but Rude reaches up and rolls up Sting in a small package! 1...2...Sting is able to kick out! Both men get to their feet and Rude kicks Sting in the midsection and connects with a DDT! 1...2...Sting gets his shoulder up again! Rude, slightly frustrated, picks up Sting and sets up for a Rude Awakening! Sting is able to counter and hit's a neckbreaker of his own! 1...2...Rude kicks out! Both men are pulling out all the stops as they get back to their feet and exchange punches. Sting whips Rude into the ropes and goes for a backdrop, but Rude instead picks up Sting and delivers a Piledriver! Rude is too exhausted to follow up, and movesd over to the ropes, using them for help getting up. Sting begins to move, holding the back of his head as he rolls over to his side. Rude walks up and picks up Sting and sets up for the Rude Awakening again. He swivles his hips and connects! 1...2...3! At 29.19, Rick Rude pinned Sting for the NWA World Heavyweight Championship!

Rick Rude throws his arms in the air after hearing the three count. He is the new NWA World Heavyweight Champion! As he leans back on his knees, the referee hands him the championship as Sting slowly rolls aside holding the back of his head. Rude stands up, looks down at Sting with a grin, and lifts the championship above his head, then exits the ring. As Sting starts to come around and realizing that he lost, he looks up towards the stage, where Rick Rude is standing with the championship belt over his shoulder. As Sting gets to his feet, he leans on the ropes and lowers his head in disappointment, as Rude continues to celebrate.

Yes, I had to use the Keep Strong note as I wanted Rude to win clean. After Rude lost 2 back-to-back singles matches against Sting and a couple double draws in tag team action, I wanted a clean win for vindication. This will play into the unfolding story.

In the ring, he tells all of the morons in Atlantic City that he is already the greatest world champion in WCW and that everything he said would come true, did. Sting comes down to the ring, taking exception to Rude's comments, but his journey is cut short as the Russian Nightmare Nikita Koloff attacks Sting from behind. Sting slowly gets to his feet, to be hit by a Russian Scicle by Koloff, leaving the Stinger out ont he ramp.

After his match, Ric Flair continues to keep the Figure Four Leglock on Rhodes, finally releasing it when the referee theatend to overturn the match result. Things went from bad to worse for Dustin Rhodes, as the remainder of the Horsemen come down and it's a 3-on-1 beatdown. It doesn't take long for Barry Windham to come out from the back to the delight of the crowd, but it isn't enough. Rhodes is tossed out of the ring, and Windham is held by Anderson and Sid as Flair slaps him in the face a couple of times while telling him he's made a big mistake. Then, they let Windham drop and Flair slaps on the Figure Four Leglock on Windham as the show goes off the air.

Last week's World Championship Wrestling ended with another Horsemen beatdown of Barry Windham and Dustin Rhodes. One has to wonder how much longer this will go. One thing is for sure.
