KOTC was founded in 1998 by Terry Trebilcock. KOTC features mostly amateur as well as up and coming MMA stars and former mainstream combat fighters.

KOTC has promoted a majority of its events at Native American casinos throughout the United States. KOTC also promotes events in Canada, Australia & Japan.

In September 2007, Trebilcock sold KOTC to ProElite. Two years later, in July 2009, he reacquired 100% ownership of KOTC.

In July 2019, the corporation seems to be falling without agreements for displaying events and views the world, knowing to be one of the most traditional and old brands of MMA that is the fastest growing sport in the world, an entertainment group called InfityFights decided to buy KOTC.

The group still held Trebilcock as CEO of the company and later released a statement to the specialized websites.

InfityFights official announcement:

MMA Fans today kicks off a new era of MMA worldwide, InfityFights announces the purchase of one of the largest and oldest MMA organizations, King of the Cage.

Terry Trebilcock, will continue with us and with his experience in the field of MMA, will raise KOTC to a world-wide level.

A great investment will be made to reveal new talents and hire world-renowned names.

The events will happen again in all parts of the world and so continue to attract MMA fans to follow our organization and put it as the number.

Looking forward to the future.

KOTC has agreed to terms on a new three-year, deal with online streaming service Facebook, KOTC officials announced Tuesday at a press conference at InfityFights California headquarters.

The partnership will see KOTC air ten events or more, per year exclusively on Facebook, plus an additional 10 events PPV that will be on FITE TV.

“This exciting new partnership with Facebook is a game-changer for KOTC,” KOTC President Terry Trebilcock stated in a press release. “The investment will enable us to continue expanding our roster with free agents that make sense so we can put on pay-per-view-worthy fight cards that fans will want to see. Plus, on Facebook’s worldwide platform, our fights will be seen live for the first time to new audiences around the globe.”

The deal is slated to launch with the August 16 event in Anahein, California still no fights announced.
