Show held at The Old Mill in Leigh, Thursday Week 3, September 2019. Attendance: 45.

Angle: Sam Bailey Hates Hayes

Our show opened with Sam Bailey, sat in the doctor's office, having been only just medically cleared to wrestle. A brain scan showing his recent concussion glowed on the screens behind him as he declared vendetta on GBW World Champion Joey Hayes, whose cheap shot with the title belt almost cost him his health as well as his chance at glory.
Angle Rating: 41.

Angle: Cruz, Sebastian & Black Jr Hate Hayes

Our show then cut to Nathan Cruz, chilling with his new allies Sebastian and Earl Black Jr on the balcony of his penthouse suite. They drank champagne and lounged upon luxury furniture as they promised the downfall of Joey Hayes. Their as yet un-named stable declared the doom of our World Champion. A theme was emerging here.
Angle Rating: 30.

Angle: The Bhangra Knights Hate Hayes

The scene then cut to GBW's most (and possibly only) popular tag team The Bhangra Knights. RJ Singh had never forgiven Joey Hayes for screwing him out of becoming GBW's first ever champion back in Chapter 1. He and his buddy Tiger Ali cracked their knuckles menacingly towards the camera as they too foretold the downfall of Hayes. Seemed like the only person not after Joey's blood was the guy selling the ice creams.

Angle: Hayes Does Not Hate Hayes

All 45 paying customers in attendance were furious upon seeing the face of our champion Joey Hayes filling the screens of our venue. He was in hiding once again, beaming to us via videolink from a secure, undisclosed location. He reiterated that he'd only come out of hiding when an official #1 contender had been named, obviously smug about ruining the previous month's contenders bout. He then slammed the fans and GBW roster for their "totally unjustified" hatred of him. He claimed to have been "monstrously treated" and that GBW didn't deserve a "high calibre champion" like him. The whole world was jealous of him, apparently. He said it was time the "ungrateful morons" give him the respect he deserved. What a guy.
Angle Rating: 37.

Angle: Marx Hates Hayes

I came to the ring immediately to declare a #1 contenders match so Hayes would finally have an opponent. I was angry at how he'd assaulted both Cruz and Bailey with the hallowed GBW Title belt. I was furious at seeing Bailey carried away unconscious. So I added a bit of spice to proceedings: "If Hayes steps foot in the building he's stripped of his title! If Hayes does anything to mess with our show tonight, he's suspended! There WILL be a new contender and at the next show Hayes WILL get what's coming to him!"

Next up there was the controversy of last month's Tag Team Tournament to deal with. I declared the titles vacant due to the blatant cheating of Nathan Cruz, Sebastian and Earl Black Jr. Their new faction had caused shockwaves through GBW, and I needed to punish them for it. A forced rematch against the Bhangra Knights was set for the main event! I was awesome on the mic, if I do say so myself, but by now the fans had been forced to listen to words for almost ten whole minutes. This hurt their angry little brains, and made their ugly little faces very sad. I shrugged and got the action underway.

The Dark Circus vs John 'Asylum' Doe

The Dark Circus had gone on social media earlier in the month to issue an open challenge to any team in GBW brave enough to take on a couple of psychotic, freaky clowns. Unsurprisingly nobody took the bait. I hate clowns. Everybody hates clowns. Especially evil clowns. I couldn't pass up the chance to have clowns beaten up on my show. I put them in with Asylum and laughed out loud so hard I went dizzy. Our new Road Agent had someone tell me about Jokey and Vega's toxic lack of chemistry, which was apparently the reason for their piss-poor performances. I'd missed that, assuming it was because Jokey was crap at wrestling. Either way, the shit-stains they smeared over each show they featured on was a concern.

Vega and Jokey used all six moves in their arsenal but barely made a dent on GBW's resident mad man. A top rope Tidal Wave dive had both of them crush Doe with an impact that'd put a normal person in the hospital. It barely got a 1 count. Then he sat up like he'd just woken up from a nice night's sleep. Even through all their make-up you could see the fear on Vega and Jokey's faces. They'd made the most unpredictable maniac in British wrestling mad. He went ringside, ripped the guard rail from its foundations and threw it into the ring. It missed the Dark Circus by inches, instead hitting referee John Myers. He fell like a domino. Barely conscious, he called for the bell, DQing Asylum immediately. The Dark Circus fled and hid under the ring. Despite barely being able to stand, the sight of a rampaging madman was enough to get Myers running for the curtain. Doe gave chase, looking for someone to destroy.

Angle: Party Boy Has A Party

Internet dweebs who reviewed the online stream of this show were randomly swooning over this angle. They commented on how clever I was to let 'Party Boy' be himself, improvise, and allow the gimmick to "run naturally". I accepted the praise with all the modesty of an Oscar winner and pretended it wasn't just blind luck. GBW's party animal danced with our tiny rabble of fans, drinking beers and posing for selfies to the tune of 'Bangarang' by Skrillex. It was a fun way to lift the crowd. He had clearly underestimated his opponent, however, as anyone who's faced Blood would warn you of the nightmare to come.

Blood vs 'Party Boy' Liam Slater

Party Boy got off to a quick start, enjoying early success with quick strikes. But he'd underestimated Blood, who turned an attempted Hurricanrana into a brutal Sit-out Powerbomb and a near pinfall. With Slater dazed he immediately went to work on the arm, using a variety of excruciating holds to smash that limb to bits. Every time it looked like Slater was about to tap out, however, Blood would release the hold. It got to the point where he wasn't wrestling him any more, he was torturing him. Blood wasn't happy until Slater received permanent damage. Things came to a head when Blood wrapped Slater's arm around the turnbuckle and applied an illegal Armbar, using the steel post for leverage. Slater screamed in agony, looking genuinely horrified. Referee John Myers ordered Blood to release the hold, but he was oblivious. Myers had no choice to call for the bell and DQ Blood, who still wouldn't let Slater's suffering end. It took four security guards, me and the referee to finally prize Blood away, leaving Party Boy to run for his life, clutching his arm as he ran.

Angle: Everybody Hates Hayes

I had my army of unwashed and underpaid University boffins put together a neat little video package. We reminded people of the carnage and chaos that had been our Tag Team Title situation, and of the unrivaled bastardry of Joey Hayes. It had been a whole month since people had watched GBW, and I thought this would help their ADD-riddled minds to remember. It was very nicely done - way beyond the levels of a tinpot, two-bit fed like mine. We'd make extensive use of video packages as Great British Wrestling grew, because it was a.) awesome, and b.) cheap. The latter always brought joy to my heart and a smile to my face.

#1 Contenders Bout: Nathan Cruz vs 'Super' Sam Bailey

Bailey and Cruz did exactly what they did last time, namely wrestle well and entertain the fans. Once again Bailey's speed and high flying contrasted nicely to the technical, old school British assaults of Cruz. I made sure both men got an equal amount of offence in to highlight their skills, as both of their performances were leagues ahead of the boiled turds that had proceeded their bout.

As the match wore on, the distractions of Cruz's comrades Black Jr and Sebastian took more and more of a toll on Bailey, who was still clearly shaken and hurt from the concussion he suffered last month. Bailey wouldn't be stopped, however, and in true Babyface fashion fed off the rapturous applause of our microscopic crowd. He found the energy to floor Cruz with a damned fine Superkick, before leaping majestically to the top rope. He had this one stitched up. A shot at Joey Hayes was in the bag. Vengeance was within his grasp. All he had to do was hit a big, spectacular high flying move and he'd have the biggest win in his GBW career. In true pro wrestling fashion, however, he forgot about Sebastian and Black Jr long enough for them to sneak up on him and beat the living crap out of him. Referee John Myers tried pulling them off him, but they shoved him to the ground and kept on stomping.

Bailey took matters into his own hands, rolling out of the ring, grabbing one of the (many, many) empty chairs at ringside and used it to defend himself, swinging wildly at his many foes. Myers, perhaps remembering that this was a family show, stopped Bailey before he could decorate skulls with steel. He then set about disqualifying both Cruz AND Bailey, as both had blatantly broken the rules. The fans were furious. Myers was furious. I was furious. Announcer Ryan Devlin was furious. Cruz, Sebastian and Black Jr were furious. Bailey was obviously furious too. You get the picture. A lot of rage. A lot of confusion. And
still
no #1 contender.

Angle: Enough Nonsense Already

Still seething, I slid into the ring, grabbed the mic and took control of the situation. I declared that nobody was leaving the Old Mill that night until a #1 contender was crowned. Before anybody had time to question the logic of what was about to happen, I quickly called out two members of the GBW roster who had impressed lately - Party Boy and Asylum! As they came to the ring side by side like some third rate giant and midget comedy act, I booked them and Bailey versus Nathan Cruz's new gang in an impromptu, 3vs3 bout. The stipulation? Whichever contestant got the win would be crowned our #1 contender!

#1 Contenders 3vs3 Bout: Nathan Cruz & Sebastian & Earl Black Jr vs 'Super' Sam Bailey, 'Party Boy' Liam Slater & John 'Asylum' Doe - Whoever Gets The Win Gets The Title Shot.

This was an intricate chess match between six honed, primed athletes at the height of their powers. It had story, it had pacing, and it had the kind of psychology that makes a match live long in the memory for years. No? Not buying that one? It doesn't take a rocket scientist to predict what happened instead - chaos. Fun, goofy, ridiculous chaos.

Asylum spent 15 minutes destroying everyone, regardless of whose side they were on, until Cruz's un-named band of villains somehow managed to handcuff him to the guard rail. Quite why three old school traditional mat wrestlers thought of bringing handcuffs is a mystery, as is where they hid them all night, but it was highly effective... for a moment. The fans held their breath as the count-out began while Nathan Cruz stood smiling smugly in the ring, his brilliant white teeth gleaming like a beacon under the spotlights. GBW's answer to Godzilla managed to snap the handcuff chain and sprinted towards the ring apron. The sight of a deranged, homicidal giant in a Halloween mask charging towards him only made our terrified referee count faster. In a heartbeat the 10 count was done, as was the contest.
Match rating: 38.

Angle: Not So Fast

The fans, all 45 of them, were incandescent with rage. Not just because the crafty Cruz and his cohorts had cheated their way to victory yet again, but because in all the commotion, the referee hadn't seen the battered and bruised Sam Bailey rolling into the ring at the last moment. It seemed as though Bailey had been screwed yet again. Angrily he grabbed me and insisted I check the video replays. With the fear of being lynched by dozens of Leigh's angriest citizens, I agreed. Sure enough, the replays clearly showed Bailey just about making it back in the ring on time. I shamelessly banked the biggest crowd pop of the night when I announced BOTH Cruz and Bailey were the new #1 contenders. Both could cash in their title shots any time. 'Super' Sam wasted no time, cashed in his shot, saying he wanted Hayes at our next show! The match was finally made!

The Bhangra Knights vs Sebastian & Earl Black Jr - For The GBW Tag Team Titles.

Sebastian and Black Jr were too distracted from the #1 contenders shenanigans moments earlier to notice RJ Singh and Tiger Ali sliding into the ring behind them. The popular Bhangra Knights let loose with all manner of high-speed, high-flying hijinx. The fan favourites had the huge advantage of being pretty much the only ones on the whole roster who'd not already wrestled that night. A lengthy, fun and satisfying arse-kicking unfolded, much to the delight of the GBW fans, some of whom even stood up to applaud the action. It was a fine display of Lucha madness. The antics of Nathan Cruz were always going to be a factor though, and so it proved when he finally distracted the referee long enough for Sebastian & Black Jr to hit multiple low blows on their opponents. In true cheesy pro wrestling fashion, it looked like the villains had once again found a way to steal the victory till Asylum hit the ring again!

He crushed Cruz with an almighty Chokeslam, then Sebastian with the biggest Brainbuster I'd ever seen. He then launched Black Jr skyward with a Gorilla Press Slam that sent him flying out of the ring and into the crowd, flattening everyone. They'd made a serious enemy earlier by handcuffing him, and now it was payback time. By now the monster was unleashed and out of control. He took out his rage next on the Bhangra Knights, swatting them with a Double Chokeslam. Then it was the ref who ate a Chokeslam - clearly he still had beef with our official from before too. Then he came to ringside, grabbed me from my colour commentary position, and Chokeslammed me too, for good measure. Indiscriminate, mindless violence at its very best. The fans went wild as he calmly adjusted his mask, before casually strolling to the back like nothing happened. Our show ended with a ring full of unconscious bodies and once again no Tag Team Champions!

The One With A Very Large, Very Disappointed Man

http://twistededge.org/GBW.jpg

http://twistededge.org/Chapter_3_Post_Show.jpg

An hour had passed since a show which could be equally described as both the second best and the second worst in our short history. I was in my office again, hiding from my own wrestlers, when suddenly the man known as 'Asylum' appeared before me like some kind of grimy apparition. The top of his head nearly scraped the ceiling as he began to talk:

Doe:
I'm wondering how much mileage we'll get out of my scary mask look. It's working well short-term for my character, but I wonder if my performance will be able to organically grow and thrive within the visual confines of my mask.

I pinched myself to make sure this wasn't some booze induced daydream. Nope. This was happening. A 6ft 11 monster who dresses like children's nightmares for a living and pretends to hurt people was actually saying this shit. After an awkward pause, his face started flapping again and more of those ridiculous words kept plopping out.

Doe:
All my subtle mannerisms and gestures are lost behind the mask. I could portray the emotional turmoil of the character's struggles better if unencumbered. The dichotomy of...

I cut him off before he gave me a migraine. Each ridiculous word smacked me like an uppercut.

Me:
You've been drinking again, haven't you? You found my secret champagne stash, you big goofy bastard! Nobody talks like that unless they're tipsy on fizz!

I had no room to talk. I'd been drinking the stuff in pint glasses since 8 o'clock that morning. I brushed my teeth with it. I couldn't seem to get rid of the damn stuff. Fortunately the man across from me hadn't noticed. He looked sheepishly down at the floor like a kid caught with his hand in the cookie jar. Considering he was an infinitely strong and unstoppable giant, and I was 5ft 9 with all the raw power of a damp fart, we had a strange dynamic going on.

Me:
You can't unmask. No.

Doe:
Why?! Those cheap Halloween masks make me itch. I get a terrible rash.

Me:
No. No. No. No.

Doe:
Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes.

Me:
No. No. No! NO!

Doe:
Yes. Yes. Yes! YES!

This was going nowhere. I sighed. The gentle approach was just driving us in circles. It was time for a 'truth bomb' as those gimps on social media would say.

Me:
You can't unmask. You're way too ugly. Those terrifying masks I make you wear are much less horrifying than your actual face. It's Eddie Vega's job to make the kids cry, not yours.

The masked maniac of GBW took that surprisingly well, hitting me back with a shrug and a smile.

Doe:
Fair point. I'll see you tomorrow for beers and boxing. I got a whole Tyson Fury marathon thing going on.

Me:
Sure. Just make sure the beer isn't Newcastle Brown, ok? It took them hours to scrape the lumps out of the carpet last time.

Doe just laughed, turned away, and headed for the door.

Me:
One last thing. If you ever use the word "organic" with me again, you're fired, you got that?

He laughed all the way out the door and down the corridor, at which point the laughter turned to hiccups. The champagne was clearly getting the better of him. I sat back in my comfy chair and allowed myself a wry smile. He was a nice kid. I just wished I could remember his Goddamn name.

Thank you for reading, you amazing internet people. Chapter 4 type stuff coming next. Am enjoying writing this. Hope you enjoy reading it too. There's plenty more coming either way lol

<p>The One Where We Proclaim That Wrestlers Will Do Wrestling</p><p> </p><p>

At Chapter 3, GBW had Tag Team Champions but no #1 Contender. At Chapter 4, GBW had a #1 Contender but no Tag Team Champions.</span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;">

Once again chaos and confusion reigned. As our tiny army of fans geared up for Chapter 4, many hoped this would be the show where questions were answered.</span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;">

Above all the carnage was our World Champion Joey Hayes, who was yet to defend the belt he won under highly controversial circumstances back in Chapter 1. Thanks to his callous manipulation of the #1 Contenders situation, he'd been able to watch from distant safety as his enemies beat each other to a pulp. But now finally the time had come for Hayes to step back into the ring, with Sam Bailey immediately cashing in the title shot he earned last month. Fans couldn't wait to see these two collide.</span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;">

Also overshadowing proceedings was Nathan Cruz and his un-named faction. His allies Sebastian and Earl Black Jr were stripped of their Tag Team Titles during the chaos of Chapter 3, but Cruz managed to emerge from the carnage of that show clutching a title shot of his own. Mystery remained as to when he would cash-in his shot at the GBW World Title. Speculation was rife as to what impact this new group would have on Great British Wrestling. The fans demanded answers, and Chapter 4 was set out to end the chaos and confusion once and for all with two titles on the line...</span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;">

Back in Chapter 2 we ran a tournament with the aim of crowning new Tag Team Champions. Yet here we were going in to Chapter 4 and the throne was still empty. Instead of glory and legacy-building there was anarchy. The plan was for two of GBWs top teams to go face-to-face to try and end the mayhem and finally crown new champions. But if there was one thing GBW's short history had taught us so far, it was that nothing </span></span></div></div></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;"><em>ever</em></span></span></div></div></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;"> goes to plan...</span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;">

Finally fan favourite 'Super' Sam would get his hands on GBW's controversial and hated champion. After months of hell and after overcoming every obstacle in his path, Bailey was now facing the summit of the mountain he was climbing. He was one match away from reaching the top. But there was no way the cunning and devious Joey Hayes would make this easy - he always had a trick up his sleeve, and would do anything to keep the title belt around his waist.</span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;">

Started reading it, gotta' say I'm loving it!

Thank you! Chapter 4 coming soon, hope you like it!

New Idea That's Kind Of A Continuation Of An Old Idea:

I mentioned earlier in this thread that any wrestlers people suggest will find their way into the diary at some point. That is still very much the case.

Ebeza requested Dave Rayne twice. Keep an eye out for him down the line. I have plans.

Also thanks to Stylesclash18, Joe Nelson, Kyle Fletcher and Mark Davis Aussie Open were suggested. I plan on featuring at least one of them too.

From now on each person who gets the most predictions right for a show gets to pick a wrestler. I will then be duty bound to include that wrestler at some stage in this diary. It'll add a little spice to things, and frankly I like the surprise of seeing what people come up with.

Our show started with a video highlighting the varied and imaginative ways in which GBW World Champion Joey Hayes had screwed everyone over during the company's short history. As the film finished to a climax of boos, the most hated man in Great British Wrestling came to the ring.</span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;">

Having come out of hiding after spending the previous 2 shows in exile, Hayes was escorted to the ring by 8 hired security guards. Quite how he managed to afford his own security force on the pitiful GBW salary is still beyond me. He got straight to business. Singh, Bailey, Cruz and me were all called out. He took great delight in throwing insults at each one of us, reminding us all how weak, puny and insignificant we all were. Standing bravely behind his wall of hired goons, he stated that GBW would wither and die without the glowing light of his magnificence. Having heard enough, we all jumped at him in unison, keen to shut him up once and for all. He laughed like a Bond Villain as his army of private security held us back. He then triumphantly strolled away with his hired goons surrounding him and the GBW belt still around his waist. </span></span></div></div></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;"><strong><span style="color:#FF0000;">Angle rating: 40.</span></strong></span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;">

Timmy Force tried his best. He really did. But this was like a battle between a hamster and a lion. The man known only as Blood got his knees up when Force attempted a Moonsault, then set about his prey like a Piranha. It was animalistic. It was primal. It was cruel. What should've been a fun opening bout turned into a horror show. Referee John Myers immediately ruled it a No Contest when Blood wrapped Force's neck in the ring ropes, strangling the very life out of him. It took me and one of the camera men to prize Blood off Timmy while Myers summoned the medics, who had to literally cut the unconscious Force free. Blood cackled from ringside, before disappearing in all the confusion like a ghost. </span></span></div></div></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;"><strong><span style="color:#FF0000;">Match rating: 29.</span></strong></span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;">

</span></span></div></div></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;"><span style="font-size:14px;"><strong><span style="color:#FF0000;">Angle: A Three Way Argument </span></strong></span></span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;">

Our fans were then treated to a video from earlier that evening. It showed me confronting Nathan Cruz and his cronies Sebastian and Earl Black Jr in their luxury private dressing room. Their un-named stable had caused nothing but chaos since joining together, and I was mad as hell. I got in all their faces, throwing my weight around with all the menace of a 5 year old girl. I demanded to know when Cruz planned on cashing in his title shot. Barely holding back his smug laughter, Cruz declared he would use it when the champ was at his weakest and when the world least expected it.</span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;">

Suddenly our little shindig was interrupted as 'Party Boy' Liam Slater burst in, challenging Cruz to defend his #1 contender spot. Cruz refused. I over-ruled him. Cruz and his cohorts were not pleased, but I laughed at their protests. A #1 contenders match was booked for tonight! </span></span></div></div></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;"><strong><span style="color:#FF0000;">Angle rating: 34.</span></strong></span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;">

Kutchner slid into the ring. Asylum Chokeslammed him back out. Kutchner was unable to beat the 10 count. Game over. The Bhangra Knights confronted Hayes and his security force backstage, telling him they hadn't forgiven him for screwing over Singh in Chapter 1. They reminded him that as soon as the Tag Title situation was cleared up, they would have their revenge. It was about as generic as a promo could possibly be, but our pocket-sized army of fans seemed to like it. </span></span></div></div></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;"><span style="color:#FF0000;"><strong>Angle rating: 36.</strong></span></span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;">

I'd always thought of Nathan Cruz as a technical mat wrestler based on what I'd seen of him in Progress Wrestling. He was one of only a handful of wrestlers on the roster I'd actually seen in action before hiring them. At Chapter 4 he surprised me, the fans and his opponent with crisp high-flying offence. Party Boy was as shocked as anyone to see Cruz flying through the air like a SCUD missile. All his scouting and planning was for nothing as Cruz fought a totally different way to any other GBW match. This gave him the edge until Slater managed to avoid an attempted Springboard Moonsault.</span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;">

As Cruz ate canvas, Slater (looking surprisingly refreshed and unhurt for someone who got his arse kicked for the last 10 minutes) struck back. He blitzed his stunned foe with kicks, then punches, some more kicks, a variety of punches, then topped it off with some kicking. Oblivious to the total lack of actual wrestling on display, our noisy pocket of fans ate it up big time. They were very disappointed when Sebastian and Black Jr spoiled the fun. Referee John Myers managed to push them out of the ring before they could give Slater a beating, but the distraction allowed Cruz crucial moments to recover. Seconds later Party Boy ate a jumping neckbreaker type move that was in no way stolen from Randy Orton, then scored a flash pinfall. The fans showered the bad guys with boos. Cruz and his partners sarcastically blew them all kisses as they triumphantly left the ring, with Cruz retaining his spot as #1 contender. </span></span></div></div></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;"><strong><span style="color:#FF0000;">Match rating: 40.</span></strong></span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;">

Sam Bailey cut a backstage promo against Hayes. He told our fans he'd been waiting for this moment all his life. This was his night to fulfill his dreams of becoming a World Champion, against the man who nearly broke his skull with the very belt he coveted so much. Tonight wasn't just about glory, it was about revenge. I was pleasantly surprised at how good he was on the mic. Of course I would've known that if I'd bothered to do any research on him at all, rather than hiring him on a whim. I'd spend a lot of my GBW career pretending that my decisions weren't just based on the toss of a coin - all part of a futile attempt to make it look like I knew what the hell I was doing. </span></span></div></div></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;"><strong><span style="color:#FF0000;">Angle rating: 41.</span></strong></span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;">

By now both teams had each other well scouted. They knew what their opponent was going to do almost before they did it. This made for a fascinating battle between four workers from the side of our roster that actually had some measure of talent - particularly the Bhangra Knights, who frankly put GBW to shame on a monthly basis. Their high flying display was spot-on once again, especially when they double-teamed Sebastian with a Two Man Frankensteiner from the top rope. Earl Black Jr and Sebastian did their best to take out the legs of their opponents to nullify their aerial attacks, but Singh and Ali were so fast it was just impossible. They had control of the bout until inevitably Nathan Cruz got involved, grabbing Tiger Ali by his turban and pulling him to the floor in what was definitely the most fiendish heel moment of the night. RJ Singh rushed in to help his buddy, only to get screamed at by Britain's cheapest referee, who was already losing control of the match. The Bhangra Knights were shaken by this incident. Team Cruz now had three men in the ring and our referee was struggling to hold Cruz back from further interfering. Things were about to spiral out of control - all it needed was one more incident and the whole powder keg would blow. So naturally that's what happened.</span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;">

The Dark Circus decided this was the moment to make an appearance, running to the ring and leaping on our heroes like super-villains from a bad cartoon. Suddenly fists were flying everywhere. There was carnage as our four man tag match descended into a seven person brawl. Our security team ran in to try and diffuse things, which only made things worse. Most organisations would splash the cash on some certified security professionals with a background in safety management. I was way too cheap for that crap, and had simply rounded up some local bodybuilders, paid them in beer, stuck some black t-shirts on them, and left it at that. All it took was one mis-placed kick hitting one of these local toughs, and suddenly all four of them were now fighting too. As the ring groaned under the weight of eleven people kicking the living Christ out of each other, our referee squealed like a frightened little girl, running for his life and hiding in the crowd.</span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;">

The Bhangra Knights and the Dark Circus were thrown from the ring, which became an invitation for all these maniacs to take their fight throughout the Old Mill venue. Nathan Cruz was thrown through a pile of empty steel chairs. Eddie Vega found himself squashed under a guardrail and jumped on repeatedly. RJ Singh was piledriven through our Merchandise stand. Jokey took a (thankfully empty) baby stroller from an alarmed member of our audience and began wrapping it around Earl Black Jr's skull. Tiger Ali and Sebastian took their melee to the hot dog stand and began bashing each other with pots and pans - before long there was mustard flying everywhere. It was absolute carnage and I - to be totally honest - loved every second of it from the distant safety of my colour commentary position. The fans did too. The wrestlers had been smart enough to keep the violence to a minimum - it was more slapstick than bloodthirsty. The action finally ended when all the wrestlers and security guards fought through the curtain and out of sight. Eventually our referee John Myers emerged sheepishly from his hiding place, visibly shaking, squeaking like a frightened little mouse. </span></span></div></div></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;"><strong><span style="color:#FF0000;">Match rating: 37. Cruz, Sebastian, Black Jr and the Bhangra Knights, having shaken off the effects from their mass brawl minutes earlier, watched menacingly from ringside like vultures, waiting to pounce. Hayes' security held them back, making them worth their weight in gold given all the hatred surrounding the ring that night. Sam Bailey had some genuine highlight reel moments in this match, but whenever he built momentum, Hayes' security team kept interfering and distracting the referee. I tried sending them to the back, but GBWs official security team had been AWOL since joining in the fighting earlier. All alone against the Hayes security force, I had about as much chance of victory as Poland did in World War 2. They surrounded me like sharks with the scent of blood. I tried my best not to cry.</span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;">

Then suddenly came my salvation. The match had been even and highly entertaining (even despite the champion's many unfair advantages) until Hayes, unable to resist being an arse, chose that precise moment to cheat. The Bhangra Knights had seen enough. They used my inadvertent distraction to wriggle past Hayes' security, and promptly set about kicking the living crap out of the champion. Bailey joined in. Then Cruz and his goons Sebastian and Earl Black Jr too. All 48 fans leaped to their feet in delight as what seemed like half the roster went for our hated World Champion, all stomping a mud hole in him. The fans cheered so loud, so much, they could hardly hear the ref calling for the bell. Hayes, under sea of enemies and flying limbs, was the winner by DQ! The referee and I, with the help of Hayes' security crew, dragged the attackers from the ring. Hayes grabbed his GBW Title and ran for his life, somehow barely still standing, somehow barely still the GBW champion. </span></span></div></div></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;"><strong><span style="color:#FF0000;">Match rating: 46.</span></strong></span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;">

<p>The One With An Alarmingly Thorough Investigation</p><p> </p><p>

</span></span></div></div></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;"><strong>"Holy crap guys! I've got an actual footprint on my bollocks! Check it out!"</strong></span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;">

The belt was unfastened with a speed of hand that'd make Bruce Lee proud, and trousers were down before any of us could speak out. Then followed an awkward, lengthy silence. It was the sound of an entire locker-room stopping what they were doing and staring in disbelief. People hung up phone calls to have a look. The Angry Birds tournament going on in the corner even ceased so excited eyes could take a look. It was like rubbernecking a car crash - it was gruesome but you just </span></span></div></div></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;"><em>had</em></span></span></div></div></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;"> to see it.</span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;">

He was right. There was an actual footprint on his bollocks. A big, red, perfectly formed footprint among all that body-hair and flesh. I wondered who'd be the one to break the silence. Mercifully the musical, Italian-accented tones of Jokey broke the ice. "Someone pass me a magnifying glass" she instructed "I cannot see something that small without the specialist equipment. I'll need a telescope for this!"</span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;">

Everyone fell about laughing, even the guy whose equipment was under such close inspection, Joey Hayes. He wasn't finished either. "So which of you shower of pricks did this to me then? I'm gonna have to explain this to my missus. She's gonna start thinking I'm kinky or something." Again, more laughter. </span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;">

An investigation then took place that would've put Columbo to shame. Hayes, pants still around his ankles, went about measuring the feet of every member of our roster, then cross-referencing his findings with the angry-looking bruise on his groin. It would've been an impressive sight, were it not for the vision of his swollen nuts flapping in the breeze. When an initial search yielded no culprits, he went about checking the bottom of everyone's wrestling boots to look for a matching tread pattern. It was like a more comical, yet slightly tragic episode of CSI. </span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;">

The only boot that matched was that of poor Timmy Force. Joey Hayes demanded justice, insisting that an impromptu backstage trial take place there and then. Apparently this is an age-old method of self-policing in a wrestling locker-room, going back to the days of Big Daddy. Hayes tried his best to get Nathan Cruz, who had somehow become an unofficial spokesman for the GBW roster, on board. "Nobody harms the bollocks" proclaimed the GBW Champion. "The spuds are sacred! Especially </span></span></div></div></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;"><em>my</em></span></span></div></div></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;"> spuds!" </span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;">

As amusing as it was to see the backstage turning into the world's shittiest Law & Order tribute, I had to put a stop to this. "Timmy Force wasn't even in the ring" I announced. "There were about a million people stomping the crap out of you. It was truly a wonderful, beautiful moment which I shall cherish. But none of those people were little Tim." They stopped and thought about it for a second. You could see the cogs turning in their minds.</span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;">

Suddenly Joey Hayes looked dejected. His whole body language slumped and deflated. He looked like a little kid who'd just heard Christmas was cancelled. He threw Timmy a half-arsed apologetic glance, before staring with sad puppy-dog eyes at his poorly scrotum. He had the look of a victim realising justice would never be served. Nathan Cruz, still clearly uncomfortable at being thrown into the centre of this bizarre circus, was quick to change the subject. He suggested drinks at a local pub that was having some kind of Halloween-themed booze spectacular. Everyone seemed very excited. They grabbed their stuff and stampeded out the door. </span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;">

</span></span></div></div></div></div><span>http://twistededge.org/Boot.png</span><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;">

All except Joey Hayes who stood there alone and forlorn, refusing to pull up his pants. They say being a champion is glorious - an honour beyond words. That night in the cold, dark locker room of The Old Mill, I doubt Joey Hayes and his bruised testicles would have agreed.</span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;">

For all his heel behaviour and intense bastardry in the ring, outside of it Joey Hayes was always one of those who'd make people laugh. You could always count on him to raise the spirits of those around him. This was another example of just that. The atmosphere in the locker room was slowly improving each show. This group of disparate individuals were slowly pulling together as a team. This sort of thing is vital to a company's success, and was especially important at GBW. The idea of everyone stomping the crap out of Hayes at the end of Chapter 4 was actually his idea - he knew the fans would get a kick out of it, and that meant a lot to him.</span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;">

Months passed and still the identity of the "Mystery Dick Assassin" remained a mystery. It was like Great British Wrestling's version of the Jack The Ripper mystery, but with less clues and more suspects. There were even rumours it'd been me who'd planted the mighty kick that fateful evening. I wish it were true. I did notice, however, that nobody ever asked referee John Myers of his part in all this. Everyone has their own theory. I prefer not knowing, happy to let the past remain in the past. Frankly, so long as I don't have to ever see Hayes' busted nuts ever again, I'll die a happy man.</span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;">

<p>The One Where We Embrace Chaos</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p>

<span>http://twistededge.org/GBW.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://twistededge.org/Chapter_5_Card.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;">After Chapter 4's carnage-filled ending, there were calls for me to step in and put an end to the chaos that filled GBW. It was said that restoring order and structure would have been the professional way of handling our product. The British wrestling circuit, I was told, wanted a polished and organised output, not the tornado of rampant mayhem and destruction our tiny shows were offering up. I read such comments online and laughed so hard my champagne came out my nose.</span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;">

Order and discipline are bollocks. I had no intention of changing a damn thing, and there were two reasons why. Firstly, I was secretly enjoying the hell out of the carnage and confusion that surrounded every show. It was great fun to me. Secondly, chaos is exciting. There's a zillion small feds in the UK, all of whom are well organised, putting out neat, orderly little shows. It's all the same stuff with the same guys doing the same things. The ones who rose above the rest were those who dared to be different. And let's face it, for all its faults, Great British Wrestling was certainly </span></span></div></div></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;"><em>different.</em></span></span></div></div></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;"> Why conform? Why copy everyone else? Why blend in with the crap surrounding us?</span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;">

</span></span></div></div></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;"><span style="color:#8B0000;">"Quick! Grab your coats! There's a new wrestling show in town! One where everybody follows the rules and things are neatly organised! Try not to crap your pants with excitement, but they follow tradition! If we hurry we might just get there in time to see how polite everybody is!"</span></span></span></div></div></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;"> Said nobody, ever.</span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;">

So instead of stopping the mayhem, I embraced it. Screw what the critics said. At first everybody said I had no clue about real wrestling. They were right. Timmy Force was furious after Blood maliciously strangled him into unconsciousness with the ring ropes at Chapter 4. He'd wanted all his family and friends to witness his first GBW victory. Instead they saw his neck nearly broken by a vindictive psychopath. Despite pleas for his safety, Force wanted revenge. Blood wanted to inflict pain and suffering - he wasn't interested in the identity of the victim - so he was quick to accept. Seeing the fun unfold online via Social Media, GBWs own twisted clown Eddie Vega found this potentially violent match too much to resist. He insisted on being part of the action. Two of GBWs most twisted athletes in a Three Way Dance with a blue-chip prospect. Anything could happen.</span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;">

Pride is a strange thing. It gets the better of us. It makes us do all sorts of crazy things. That must surely have been the reasoning when Sam Kutchner watched his brother Dale suffer the fastest defeat in GBW at the hands of the monstrous Asylum. Despite the danger, despite the huge disadvantages facing him, Kutchner demanded family pride be restored in a revenge bout. He went into Chapter 5 as one of the biggest underdogs in our history, but there is danger in having everything to fight for and nothing to lose.</span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></span></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="font-size:12px;">

After last show's tag match ended in chaos and a mass brawl, we found ourselves no closer to finding our new champions. Wrestling purists were quick to bemoan a lack of title lineage. Beer is always a valid reason.

Blood vs. Eddie Vega vs. Timmy Force

Sam Kutchner vs Joe Asylum Doe

Sebastian & Earl Black Jr vs. The Bhangra Knights

Nathan Cruz vs. ????????

Joey Hayes vs. ???????

I feel strongly about Eddie Vega and Joe Asylum Doe. Bhangra Knights edge it. The two unannounced matches, I'm not sure. What's Damon Leigh doing in your game? Has he ever been under consideration? I know him and Hayes have had some cracking matches IRL.

Keep up the good work dude.

The One Where Clowns Get Quite A Lot Of Screen Time

http://twistededge.org/Chapter_5_Results.jpg

Show held at The Old Mill in Leigh, Thursday Week 3, November 2019. Attendance: 53.

Angle: Hayes Is Not Alone.

Joey Hayes came to the ring still visibly shaken by the mauling he received at our last event. Crucially he'd managed to remain the GBW World Champion though - a topic that was forefront on his mind. He fumed at GBWs lack of security, saying that even a tenth-rate cess-pool company like ours should be able to protect the welfare of it's Champion. He said that GBW was an embarrassment to the world of wrestling, and that the arse-kicking he received at Chapter 4 was a dark day for the sport.

In order to ensure his own safety, Hayes announced he was taking matters into his own hands. He'd hired a bodyguard to watch his back. Right on cue, out came Hayes' new enforcer... David Finlay Jr! A 4th generation wrestler, he was the son of 'Fit' Finlay who filled the screens of WCW television broadcasts for about a million years. Another blind hire by me, I'd signed him purely on the basis of who his daddy was. As to whether he'd deliver in the ring was a total gamble. But as an ally to the most hated man in GBW, things were guaranteed to get interesting.

I had to step in. Bringing your own private security team, as Hayes had done last time, was one thing. But bringing unsigned fighters into the ring was too much. I said a loose cannon like Finlay Jr was too dangerous for GBW. No way was I going to let a guy like that be part of GBW. Hayes claimed Finlay was five times the wrestler of any other name on the roster. I challenged him to prove it, booking Hayes and Finlay Jr vs Sam Bailey and 'Party Boy' Liam Slater for tonight! If the bad guys won, I promised Finlay would get a GBW contract. If they lost, Finlay would be kicked out of GBW for good!
Angle rating: 36.

Sam Kutchner vs John 'Asylum' Doe

Next up was Sam Kutchner. He had his serious face on. Clearly having lost his mind, he called out the monster Asylum, demanding a match to avenge his fallen brother last month. Back on colour commentary duty, I stated the obvious: "He's crazy! He's doomed!" I never won any awards for my commentary work. Looking back I see why. Announcer Ryan Devlin noticed that Sam looks an awful lot like his brother. I argued he looks totally different - they have different coloured boots and everything.

Within moments the action / slaughter began. This Kutchner did better than his brother last show - he actually landed a punch. This only angered GBWs pet monster, however.
Splat! Blap! Capow!
Within the blink of an eye Kutchner was lying unconscious among the shattered remains of our announcer's table, and the referee waved off the bout before we'd even had time to ring the opening bell. It was only in the aftermath of the 2nd shortest bout in GBWs history that I realised I'd been too cheap to buy a spare table. As a result, me and announcer Ryan Devlin spent the rest of the show awkwardly stood in the corner like a couple of naughty children.

Angle: Evil Clown Time.

I decided that the children watching the show weren't having enough nightmares. I went about fixing this by giving Eddie Vega screen time. A backstage promo was up next, in which Vega ranted eerily while putting on his clown make up. His muse Jokey hovered like a specter in the background. He talked about his past, how his father spent his whole life being laughed at, mocked and ridiculed by the whole community. Children and their families would stop in the street to laugh at him, always looking down on him like he was less than human. Even without his make-up, people would mock him and belittle him because of his calling as a clown. He witnessed this all his life, and the psychological effect it had on his father, as year after year he was worn down by their abuse. He would have his revenge, putting tears onto the face of every child he saw. He hoped there were children in the audience tonight. He wouldn't be happy unless he heard them cry.

Blood vs Eddie Vega vs Timmy Force

Blood came to the ring with bad intentions and immediately the crowd went deathly silent. He looked at poor little Timmy like a lion looks at a steak. His eyes went all Charles Manson. I couldn't just stand there and watch another slaughter unfold. It was only a matter of time before he ended some poor bastard's career. I climbed straight into the ring and I suspended him that instant for his violent actions on the previous shows. He had to be escorted away by security before the sick, scary freak got his hands on me.

This left Eddie vs Timmy. The bell rang. The action began. The in-ring action was solid but the crowd were still eerily quiet, possibly still stunned by what'd happened moments earlier. Timmy was more than holding his own until Jokey got involved. She distracted the referee long enough for Vega to blind Timmy with a Taijiri-esque Green Mist attack. Timmy was blinded and totally defenseless against the impressively brutal Superkick that followed. In true wrestling fashion, referee John Myers turned round just in time to perform the 3 count. Myers somehow didn't question why Force was covered in enough dye to make him look like the Jolly Green Giant. Nor did he ponder why there was suddenly an extra clown in the ring. Nor did he find it strange that a man who was winning just seconds earlier was now suddenly completely out cold. These are mysteries that only time and science can crack, though Myers being the cheapest licensed referee in the UK probably had something to do with it.

Rather than staying behind to help or protect the wounded Force, Myers casually left the ring and went to get himself a sandwich instead. This gave The Dark Circus plenty of opportunity to do Evil Clown Stuff like paint Force's face like a dead, tortured mime. They cackled madly while they did this, which I guess is to be expected. I guess it's what demented, murderous clowns do when they're happy.
Angle rating (Blood's suspension): 42. Match rating: 30.

Angle: Evil Clown Time 2.

Vega then grabbed a mic and stated this was a warning to Black Jr, Sebastian and the Bhangra Knights - or anybody else gunning for
their
Tag Team Titles. He warned that the next time we saw his face would be when he took their title belts. He would "make clowns of them all" he declared, as the children of the audience hid behind their parents in fear. Even the grown-ups were afraid, to be fair. Eddie Vega's just plain creepy. Who's not nervous around dark, evil clowns?
Angle rating: 45.

Angle: A Faction Has A Name.

After a nice video package begging people to attend our live shows, we returned to the ring. Cruz, Sebastian and Black Jr were there, attired in matching gold and black wrestling tights. They emitted smugness from every pore. Their arrogant stares cut through the crowd like a surgeon's knife. They hadn't even started talking yet and they were getting booed. Nathan Cruz, complete with his winning smile and nuclear-white Hollywood teeth, lectured us all on the infinite greatness of his little group. We are all peasants, he explained. Proles. Luddites. A lesser species of human than Cruz and his guys, who nodded sagely with every word he uttered. He likened himself and those of his stable to the mighty, glorious Emperors of ancient Rome - everyone else were the shit-dwelling serfs, unworthy of their gaze. Sensing the weapons-grade hatred of the fans, he then announced a name had been chosen for his group...
The Prestige.

This would be a faction for the Elite. For those among us who tower over the glassy-eyed morons that swarm through our streets like vermin. The Prestige would elevate all its members to the lofty positions befitting them. Glory in GBW was not just a foregone conclusion - it was a birth-right. All who opposed their grand procession to titles and glory would be crushed. And no, we common insects were
not
invited. Cruz then sought to illustrate his group's eternal greatness with an Open challenge.

The Bhangra Knights were happy to accept, and were keen to do the fans a favour by kicking the shit out of those smug bastards for the sake of all wrestling. Much trash was talked. Many threats were exchanged. The Knights even found time to unveil Prince Ameen as their third member. The Bhangra Boys were super pissed that Cruz'd grabbed Ali by the turban at the previous show, which was a huge disrespect. If Prestige can have 3 members, they reckoned, so could they. The Prestige had no numerical advantage any more, but that didn't wipe the smiles off their smug little faces. I got in the ring and interjected, pointing out that I did not sanction this. I was not okay with any of this nonsense, with random people just showing up expecting a place in the GBW roster. Before I could go on, Cruz went into Evil Bad Guy Mode, sneaked up behind Ameen and hit a cheap shot. I called for the bell before another mass brawl could break out.
Angle rating: 34.

http://twistededge.org/People/Nathan%20Cruz.jpghttp://twistededge.org/VS2.jpghttp://twistededge.org/People/Prince%20Ameen.jpg

Nathan Cruz vs Prince Ameen

We had Ameen wrestle in a dark match at Chapter 4. His performance that night convinced us he had the talent to improve whatever match he was involved in - though given the lack of talent in our fed that wasn't saying much.

I let the guys unleash their inner crazy on this one. Wild, ridiculous spots. Huge, ridiculous gymnastics. Manic levels of interference. It was like ECW on crack but without the blood and guts. Cruz displayed his high flying skills last month, and they were on display again tonight. Ameen can fly with the best of them. Cruz won, but only just, in an extremely open bout which could've gone either way.
Match rating: 33.

Angle: Party Crasher.

Despite his loss, the Bhangra Knights welcomed Ameen, dancing and partying with the fans, who were excited about one of GBW's top teams becoming a trio. Cheers turned to boos though when I spoiled the party. I pointed out that Ameen was not part of GBW. End of story. Before the crowd could start throwing stuff at me I distracted everybody by reminding them of the Tag Team Title bout that was about to begin. I rang the bell then ran away before fists started flying.
Angle rating: 34.

Sebastian & Earl Black Jr vs The Bhangra Knights - For The GBW Tag Team Titles

You're looking for a match report here, aren't you? An in-depth examination of what transpired in the ring between these two teams, perhaps? I was too busy hiding behind announcer Ryan Devlin to see all of it, but what I did witness was 13 minutes of boiled madness that would have Lou Thesz spinning in his grave. 'Wrestling purists' would've shat themselves with rage at the sight of this manic, directionless spot-fest. I loved every second, as did the fans. There were bodies flying everywhere. The referee nearly burst into tears trying to keep tabs on it all. I'm pretty sure there was a stampede at one point, and some sort of impromptu dance-off around the middle. Cruz tried to interfere by hitting Ali with one of my Champagne bottles, but thankfully he was intercepted before £7 worth of fizz could be wasted.

Sadly all this beautiful chaos had to end. The fans were crying out for a clean, definitive finish to put an end to months of confusion. But this is GBW. We don't do that sort of thing here. All 4 men were in the ring. Sebastian hit his finisher on Ali at the same moment as Singh landed his finisher on Black Jr. The referee did his job, followed the rules to the letter, and counted both pins at once. 1... 2... 3! The match was over! But... who the hell had won?! One person from one team had been pinned, and another from the other simultaneously! There were gasps of confusion from our tiny but passionate crowd. Who was the champion?! What the hell were we going to do now?!

Angle: And Then More Chaos...

I'd had enough of the chaos surrounding the Tag Team Titles. I leaped into the ring among a sea of beaten, barely moving wrestlers and put my best angry face on. With all the raw menace of a midget among giants, I declared the Tag Titles vacant, and instructed referee John Myers to take them away backstage. There would be no champions crowned tonight. As our official John Myers walked off with the belts, the Dark Circus appeared from nowhere like a couple of bargain-basement ninjas, sucker-punched him, and ran off with the GBW Tag Title belts! In an instant they were gone, before our brigade of fans could even begin throwing beers at them. On the night we'd hoped the Tag Title situation would finally be cleared up, we'd ended up with no Tag Team Champions... and now we had no Tag Title belts either!

Angle: Bailey's Hunt For Revenge Goes On.

We needed some semblance of sanity after such crazy events. Sam Bailey was the man to bring that. He reminded everyone of his hatred of "Plastic Champion" Joey Hayes and swore vengeance. He said he would not rest until the title was in his hands, and prestige and sanity were restored to Great British Wrestling. Everyone loves a dreamer.

Joey Hayes & David Finlay Jr vs 'Party Boy' Liam Slater & 'Super' Sam Bailey

You'd think that after over a century, pro wrestling would've run out of new ways for it's bad guys to cheat. Even innovators like Eddie Guerrero, Ric Flair and Shane Douglas ran out of imaginative ways to clown the referee and win by any means necessary. Clearly history hadn't met the likes of GBW champion Joey Hayes. He was in control for huge parts of this match, yet never hit one clean, legal move. In terms of sheer evil genius it was brilliant. By contrast to Hayes who was determined to cheat and manipulate his way to victory, Finlay fights clean, and took control of the bout with sheer brute force. Bailey was relentless as ever, but every time he took control he was squashed by Hayes' cunning or Finlay Jr's power. Even with the crowd cheering him on, and even with the Power Of The Party rushing through him, Liam Slater's arsenal of four moves was not enough to upset the odds. What can only be described as The Big Boot From Bloody Hell sealed the deal for Finlay Jr. The subsequent 3 count sealed his place in GBW.

This win sent shockwaves through GBW, shaking the structure in the fed and causing ripples through the roster. Suddenly there was a shark unleashed in the already turbulent waters of Great British Wrestling. Finlay Jr was here to stay, whether the fans liked the situation or not. A situation made even more dangerous by his alignment with Joey Hayes.

Thanks for reading! More senseless, meaty GBW goodness coming soon, along with a few more new familiar faces...

David Finlay Jr will be a awesome addition to the roster. He held his own, but in the mod I'm using he is extremely average stat-wise. I pictured him as a tough enforcer type, but his Menace of 27 kinda prohibits that lol I have many fun things planned for him, however...</p>
