globalcombat Posted August 4, 2019 Share Posted August 4, 2019 What is Global Combat Championships? Hi guys! I run a MMA efed sim rp/strat game using the WMMA 5 game engine. We hold cards on a bi weekly basis with multiple divisions. All characters in the promotion are handled by real people who may choose to hype fights, trash talk (usually on twitter) or do interviews and press conferences on the forum. Each player can handle 1 fighter in each division and all fighters are represented by real life people (fighters, actors, singers etc). Without getting too much into it, each player submits a camp report for each fight that will give them stamina+, consistency + and up to three fighting traits to use in their fight after scouting their opponent. More details can be found on the website. We currently have about 100 fighters across five divisions and have been having shows every month since August 17, 2019. I just want to offer a status update especially since this thread was filled with some broken links. The GCC is still active and going strong. We are putting on two shows a month, created a brand new website that is focused on storytelling, fight news reports and fight hype. We have evolved into one of the top MMA fantasy sites on the web and all this wouldn't be possible without the best sim on the market, WMMA5. Here are the posters for our next two events. In our game, we use the fighter popularity system to reward players who hype their fights through the use of interviews, press conferences and twitter. We also have a system in place regarding shows/subscriber counts which are impacted by the fighters popularity and overall career success. We have cards booked up until August 28th but we are always looking for new members. We saw huge upsets, new champions crowned and the fight of the Year all on one night. The event was headlined by Women Featherweights, Misty DeMeans and Juanita Sanchez.
