WELCOME TO THE KINGDOM!

 

It’s been about a year since I got the call from Ryan. He’d seen footage of my high school wrestling and had read some of my...comments on different wrestling forums, mostly down talking NOTBPW and CGC and giving my suggestions on how they could improve. He told me he wanted to start a company in Montreal, a city that somehow didn’t have any notable companies in it, and wanted me to come wrestle for him. He told me that I could be a huge star one day. All I’d have to do is help him get the company out of the red. We’d be wrestling several days a week and busting ass to try to make some money. I guess he took out some kind of ridiculous loan...good thing DAVE paid their Referees well (apparently).

 

I was pretty sure I was going to starve there for a while. I was living off of Mr Noodles and KD, which is a terrible diet for a wrestler. I was trying to deal with the egos of wrestlers who were worried they weren’t going to get paid, meanwhile I was literally giving them every penny I had made to make sure they were happy. Ian got pissed at me, Austin is still pissed at me, and don’t get me started on Dermott. I was positive that we were going to get shut down by the bank, and that Ryan and I would be in huge trouble with the bank...but I was wrong.

 

After only four months we were making money. We were still in the hole, but things were finally looking up. Come June, we finally were out of debt. I ate a steak. It was amazing. I called up a few of the big school hall stars I’d grown up fantasy booking into promotions, Mimic and Diablo from ACPW, Chrstian from CGC, Frankie from 4C, and a bunch of other guys. Robin and Logan had my back through it all and they would suggest other people to bring in, and all of a sudden we had an actual thing going. We got signed to a local TV station, Q-TV, and picked up Peter and Mac to help us with that. We threw the strap on Mimic in July after Ian’s head couldn’t fit through the door, which was a huge mistake for Ian. Mimic took us to another level, and we were on fire. Last month we were making enough money and had enough guys on board that we decided to create a brand split. We got some new belts designed, dumped some money into making the shows prettier, and Octane and Impact were born.

 

Last night was GOW Resolution, our last show of the year...happy new year. 2016 was the most stressful and also the best year of my young life, and it’ll only go up I think. I got to be a Tag Team champion with one of my best friends. We lost them last night, but hell man, it was a sick ride. Almost a year with those straps. Hard to believe Ryan let me do that. Mimic beat Davis in a barnburner. Frankie was named the first Impact World Heavyweight Champion (even though he’s tiny. Heavyweight is such a dumb name for a title.)

 

Tomorrow is Octane and a new year means a new chance...the start of a new era...The Gods of War Pro Wrestling Era.

<p>Okay so I had been doing my SAISHO Dynasty (which I'm planning on continuing) before I got my new job. I am now laid off for the next six months, so I actually have tons of time to write again. I love the RTG challenge and have completed it in Japan before, but I wanted to combine that with my heritage as a Canadian and have some fun in Canada. </p><p> </p><p>

I'll tell you right now, I'm not sure how my promos are going to be! This is currently modeled after NOTBPW's style with an 80% promo rate so that I can work on getting my user character's skills in promos up. I'm planning on swapping to a more CGC style setup and having it become pop over prowess. </p><p> </p><p>

Useful Notes:</p><p>

-My scheduele until I start making money (probably for the first year) is Monday, Wednesday and Friday each week with a big event on the last sunday of each month.</p><p>

-Also worth noting I picked up a road agent early on since my owner was a ref and I didn't have to spend money on one to start. Road Agents might not be necessary but they make life much easier.</p><p>

-Logan Wolfsbaine first ever National Champion.</p><p>

-Raised to Small Size during March</p><p>

-Intrepid Ian Identity quit CGC after fighting with -Alex DeColt, so I scooped him up and called him Ian DeColt...Gotta build him up in the future.</p><p>

-Calvin King has excellent tag chemistry with Robin Newman, the two of them are called The Kingdom, setting the seeds for a future faction led by King.</p><p>

-The Kingdom wins the World Tag Team championships in a match against The Heartbreak Express (Needham & Liotta).</p><p>

=The International Championship is won in the company's first ever ladder match by Austin Smooth because I feel for him. He's fantastically consistant and I've been giving him a rough time.</p><p>

-The Month of May I made 28k. My first positive month. My deficite is only sitting at -78k now!</p><p>

-Signed Dermott Ayres when his written contact came to an end with CGC. Now I'm just waiting on Marc Rasin and then I can push the hell out of the Montreal Mafia!</p><p>

-Rose to Regional half way through June. Also almost got out of the hole. Signed a TV deal with Q-TV for some </p><p> </p><p>

That was all of my notetaking before I started this. I was actually sitting and talking to my Roommate and trying to figure out how I rose to regional so quickly, trying to remember if that's what happened in my previous dynasty as well. I don't remember getting out of debt this quickly, but I imagine being super favorable to sponsorship helped.</p><p> </p><p>

This Dynasty will be specifically focusing on the Octane brand, and as such I haven't listed the Impact brand's staff or roster. You might see some of them occasionally though!</p><p> </p><p>
