With Shutdown: Part 3 still on the way, I wanted to throw out a little bonus content. The 100 Stories concept was meant to fill out the rosters prior to the 2021 WWE re-opening. I liked how some of the stories intertwined and came together to tell an even larger story. That being said, 100 was a nice even number that unfortunately left a few people out. So, today is their day!

WWE SHUTDOWN: PART 3

Tom Phillips and Corey Graves welcome the WWE Universe to Shutdown: Part 3! They run down tonight's line-up before getting to the opening match!

This being Damian Priest's first main roster match and EC3's first match back from a more-than-a-year long absence, both men had a lot on the line and a lot to prove. This was a very even match with both clearly on their A-game. The ending came with a mistimed pose by EC3, which gave Priest the opening he needed to hit EC3 with The Reckoning to score the victory.

Damian Priest attempted to extend a hand to EC3, but EC3 chose to ignore it and roll out of the ring, clearly disappointed in himself and his mistake.

Before the next match, during Io Shirai's entrance, Candice LeRae attacked her from behind on the ramp. The two NXT call-ups battled to the ring with the referee separating them and eventually calling for the bell.

Towards the end of the hard and evenly fought match, Johnny Gargano attempted to help his wife Candice LeRae. He slid a steel chair in to the ring and then jumped on to the apron in order to distract the referee. With the referee's back turned, LeRae grabbed the chair, but Io Shirai saw what was happening and dropkicked the chair back in to LeRae's face. Shirai disposed of the chair, climbed to the top rope, nailed LeRae with a beautiful moonsault and got the three count.

The Undisputed Era was pumping each other up and discussing their official main roster debut in 2021. Adam Cole called for their attention as he addressed both them and the WWE Universe:

Adam Cole:

The time has never been more perfect for a new Undisputed Prophecy. I left NXT as their longest reigning Champion in history. No one can ever take that away from me and that fact alone should put me in the title picture, no matter what brand we end up on. WWE Championship? Universal Championship? Both sound fine by me.

Roddy, how does "United States Champion Roderick Strong" sound? How about "Intercontinental Champion Roderick Strong"? I like both, personally.

Or, what about "RAW Tag Team Champions Kyle O'Reilly & Bobby Fish"? "Smackdown Tag Team Champions Kyle O'Reilly & Bobby Fish"? Why not just win both?

Regardless, 2021 will be our year and THAT... is Undisputed.

The Street Profits and Isaiah "Swerve" Scott were definitely focused tonight, but The Mighty Don't Kneel came in with chips on their shoulders and years worth of anger that was unleashed. This was far more aggressive of a match than anyone thought it would be. The Street Profits got their revenge for last Shutdown's attack from behind, when they poured their drinks on Shane Thorne's head.

After that, Angelo Dawkins ran back in to the ring where he was immediately squashed by the Colossal Bronson Reed with a diving splash. Reed then climbed to the top rope and nailed Dawkins with another enormous splash for the win.

TMDK grabbed the Street Profits' RAW Tag Team Championships and celebrated with them before tossing them on top of Angelo Dawkins, who was still down in the middle of the ring.

In a fast-paced Match Of The Year candidate, both men threw everything they had at each other. Balor kicked out of Ricochet's Recoil and Ricochet kicked out of Balor's Coup de Grace. Even though the match was competitive, both men gave each other sly smiles, as though they each appreciated the level they were both at.

With both men physically spent, the ending came very suddenly. While Balor was prone on the mat, Ricochet climbed the ropes and leapt off with the 630 Senton. Balor rolled out of the way, but Ricochet was able to land on his feet. He stumbled just enough for Balor to lock him up for the 1916 DDT. Ricochet had enough wherewithal to flip over after being lifted and catch Balor in a small package and score the surprise pinfall.

Ricochet extended a hand to the stunned Finn Balor. Balor accepted it, rose to his feet and then lifted the arm of Ricochet. Balor applauded Ricochet as he appeared to leave the ring. As Ricochet jumped to the second rope to celebrate, it became clear that Balor didn't leave the ring. Balor grabbed Ricochet and powerbombed him to the mat from the ropes. Balor picked up Ricochet and nailed him with the 1916 before climbing to the top rope and also hitting Ricochet with another Coup de Grace. Balor left with nothing but anger and hate in his eyes.

Vanessa Borne and Aliyah were teaming up for the first time as Robert Stone Brand ambassadors. Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan were teaming up for the first time since the reuniting of the Riott Squad. Both teams wanted to shine in hopes of having their names involved in the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship conversation.

Both teams were fairly evenly matched. The ending came when Ruby Riott had enough of Robert Stone's antics. Throughout the match, Stone involved himself, distracting the referee, pulling his team out of the ring to discuss strategy, and even ringing the bill to distract the opposition. Riott nailed Stone with a stiff right hand and tossed him over the announce table. Liv Morgan looked on, pointed and laughed at Robert Stone, which gave Vanessa Borne enough time to roll up Morgan and score the win.

Lewis Howley & Sam Stoker of Pretty Deadly made their way to the ring to celebrate with Robert Stone, Aliyah & Vanessa Borne.

A clearly pained Ricochet was slowly making his way to the trainer's room when Finn Balor blindsided him with a steel chair. Balor, crazed to the point where he was almost unrecognizable, nailed Ricochet repeatedly with chair shots until WWE Officials could restrain him. When the attack was seemingly over, Balor attacked Ricochet again, tossing him head first in to the side of a dumpster. Adding insult to injury, Balor then proceeded to throw Ricochet in to the dumpster, yelling at him that a dumpster is the only place trash like him belongs.

In a match where the presence of Robert Stone, Aliyah and Vanessa Borne at times turned things in to a 5-on-2 situation, Breezango was still able to get their shots in. But ultimately, there were too many things working against Breezango. Towards the end of the match, Vanessa Borne stood between Tyler Breeze and Sam Stoker on the outside of the ring, attempting to flirt with Breeze and keep him distracted. Meanwhile, Robert Stone stood on the apron, deflecting the referee's attention, while Lewis Howley nailed Fandango with a low blow and rolled him up with the three count.

Robert Stone grabbed a microphone while Pretty Deadly celebrated with Aliyah & Vanessa Borne.

Robert Stone:

If you didn't know that 2021 was going to be the Year of The Robert Stone Brand.. well, now you know. We will be dripping in gold. Dripping! DRIPPING! AHAHAHA!

Both women were evenly matched, but the end seemed near for Toni Storm, when Sonya Deville nailed her with a very stiff kick to the face and locked in the Kimura. Storm seemed sure to tap out, but the arena lights went out and, much like during Dolph Ziggler's match at Shutdown: Part 1, a mysterious hoodied figure appeared on the TitanTron.

The Hacker:

Hi Mandy! Hi Sonya! I feel bad about leaving you both in the dark, so to speak, so I wanted to give you both a little sample of what to expect on the first Smackdown of 2021.

The Hacker played a video of Sonya Deville talking to Dolph Ziggler backstage. Deville was recorded saying to Ziggler: "Otis isn't showing up at the restaurant tonight. I made sure of that. So, go get yourself looking good and sweep her off her feet. This is for her own good and she'll thank us later!"

The video cut off and, in the ring, Sonya Deville attempted to explain and tell Mandy Rose that she wasn't getting the whole story. As Mandy Rose walked away, Toni Storm rolled up Deville and slipped away with the win.

Sonya Deville didn't seem to give the loss a second thought as she chased Mandy Rose up the ramp and to the back.

In a grueling match which took its toll on both Aleister Black and Seth Rollins, both men were out for blood. Black wanted revenge on Rollins' sneak attack at Shutdown: Part 2 and Rollins wanted to make a point that interfering in the Monday Night Ministry's business was a mistake for anyone who tried it.

The match made its way to the back and Rollins was able to lead it in to the direction of a trap he set for Black. They went in to a small room where Buddy Murphy and the Authors of Pain were waiting for them. It turned in to a 4-on-1 beatdown, but Black wouldn't stay down for a 10 count, no matter what they hit him with.

Eventually, the Viking Raiders found the room they were in, but they were still fighting a losing battle. Rollins, Murphy and the AOP beat down the Raiders and threw them out of the room. The Ministry locked the doors and continued the violent beat down of Aleister Black. As uncomfortable as it was to watch, Black was still relentless in not staying down.

Finally, the last part of Rollins' plan came to light when a giant six-foot-tall crucifix was uncovered. The AOP stood the crucifix up as Buddy Murphy yanked Aleister Black up to his feet. Rollins pulled out some duct tape and, with Murphy's help, used the duct tape on Black's arms, attaching his limbs to the both sides of crucifix. He then duct taped Black's legs to the bottom of the crucifix. And, in the cruelest act, used the duct tape on Black's head, taping his skull to the top of the crucifix.

AOP viciously slammed the crucifix down to the ground, with Aleister Black taped to it, falling underneath its weight. Unable to move, Black was clearly unable to make it to his feet before the referee counted to 10.

The Monday Night Ministry solemnly looked on as Seth Rollins knelt down beside the crucifix and told Aleister Black to never get in his business ever again.

On a personal note, I want to sincerely thank YOU, the WWE Universe for all the love during my time off. I'm back, I'm great, the two loves of my life, Knash and Hyrie, are great! And I am just happy to be back as a part of WWE's weekly broadcast team!

And as a part of the broadcast team, I'm here to bring you the fourth and final Shutdown line-up, as WWE Network brings you Shutdown: Part 4 in December!

During the shut down, Becky Lynch and Bayley were swapped from RAW to Smackdown and vice versa. With that movement, both Women's divisions switched Champions: Bayley becoming RAW Women's Champion and Lynch becoming Smackdown Women's Champion. A short while after the swap, however, Becky Lynch announced her pregnancy and that she would be relinquishing the Smackdown Women's Championship. She went on to suggest that the title go to the woman she considered to be her toughest opponent ever: Asuka.

This proclamation didn't go over well with the Queen of Spades, Shayna Baszler. Right before the shut down, Baszler won the #1 Contender's Elimination Chamber Match, beating five other women, including Asuka. Baszler said that if anyone deserved the Smackdown Women's Championship to be handed to them, it was her.

New Smackdown General Manager William Regal made it clear that no one would be handed anything on his watch and at Shutdown: Part 4, Asuka will face Shayna Baszler with the winner becoming the definitive Smackdown Women's Champion!

If asked who the best wrestler of this generation is, it is almost a guarantee that the names Kevin Owens, Daniel Bryan, Adam Cole and AJ Styles would all be a part of the discussion.

Heading in to 2021 and the WWE re-opening, all four men will put that to the test, not only trying to prove that they're the best of the best, but also gain that all-important momentum heading in to the new year.

Carrying their feud in to the Shutdown series, Andrade Almas will put his United States Championship on the line against long-time rival Humberto Carrillo. Does Carrillo have what it takes to finally win gold in WWE? Or will Zelina Vega and Angel Garza have something to say, as they'll assuredly be in Almas' corner?

The RAW Tag Team Championship scene is almost as jumbled as the Smackdown Women's title picture. The Street Profits remain RAW Tag Team Champions, but two immediate challenges come from the two teams who held gold elsewhere.

The Miz & John Morrison were forced to relinquish their Smackdown Tag Team Titles when they were traded to RAW. The BROserweights gave up their NXT Tag Team Titles when NXT closed its doors. Both teams have strong cases as to why they deserve to be the #1 Contenders to the RAW Tag Team Titles and both teams will get to argue their cases in the ring at Shutdown: Part 4!

Upstart Shotzi Blackheart's first main roster match will be a heavy uphill battle, as she faces the Irresistible Force, Nia Jax! Jax has a lot to prove, as this will be her first match since March of 2019!

More momentum on the line as the Troubador Elias Samson does battle with Cameron Grimes, who has been made quite a name for himself in NXT.

With the Cruiserweight Championship vacated, anyone 205 lbs. or less is looking to shine, so they can be involved in the title conversation. Two men who would like to be inserted in that discussion are former Cruiserweight Champion The Brian Kendrick and the man who is undefeated in his home country of Saudi Arabia, Mansoor Al-Shehail.

Much like Kendrick and Al-Shehail, Kushida looks to be a major part of the 2021 Cruiserweight division, but in order to do that, he'll have to get past the Grizzled Young Veteran, James Drake.

Tom Phillips and Corey Graves welcome the WWE Universe to Shutdown: Part 4! They run down tonight's line-up before getting to the opening match!

A back and forth match ended controversially when Cameron Grimes took a page out of Eddie Guerrero's book. He removed a turnbuckle cover, which caused the referee to scold him and tie the cover back on to the turnbuckle. While the referee was busy, Grimes grabbed Elias Samson's guitar.

When the referee was about to turn back around, Grimes smashed Samson's guitar on the mat, threw the evidence in to Samson's hands and fell in to the smashed guitar debris. The referee immediately assumed that Samson hit Grimes with the guitar and called for the bell, disqualifying Samson.

Cameron Grimes quickly rolled out of the ring and celebrated his victory up the ramp as Elias Samson protested to the referee.

This was an extremely competitive match in the Cruiserweight division, where both men were clearly trying to put their name in the conversation surrounding the vacant Cruiserweight Championship. Ultimately, Kushida hooked James Drake in the Hoverboard Lock to get the submission victory.

Before the start of the next match, RAW Tag Team Champions The Street Profits made their way to the commentary table. They listened in as the BROserweights made their way to the ring, proclaiming that since they were the final NXT Tag Team Champions, they should get the first shot at the RAW Tag Team Titles. Miz & Morrison were next to enter. Miz said that since they were unjustly stripped of the Smackdown Tag Team Championships due to the WWE Reboot Trade Agreement, THEY should be the new RAW Tag Team Champions. Montez Ford of the Street Profits took a third mic and said that they should both prove themselves if they truly want the smoke.

Both teams were definitely trying to prove that they were the true #1 Contenders to the RAW Tag Team Championship. Plus, not to be underscored, this was Taya Morrison's debut in the WWE and she made her presence known towards the end of the match. While the referee was distracted by The Miz, John Morrison threw Matt Riddle to the outside, where Taya nailed Riddle with double knees to the head as Riddle was sitting against the steel stairs.

With Riddle incapacitated, John Morrison was able to superkick Pete Dunne directly into the waitings arms of The Miz. Miz nailed Dunne with the Skull-Crushing Finale and scored the three.

After the match, The Miz & John Morrison confronted The Street Profits at the announce table. The two teams were ready to do battle, but it was Taya Morrison that inserted herself by attacking both Street Profits from behind. The brawl turned in to a 3-on-2 affair until Bianca Belair ran to the ringside area and took out Taya.

The brawl continued between Miz, Morrison and The Street Profits until, out of nowhere, Matt Riddle and Pete Dunne leapt from opposing top rope turnbuckles and took out all four men. The BROserweights jumped on top of the announce table, held up the RAW Tag Team Titles and danced in celebration. Well, Matt Riddle danced. Pete Dunne mostly just stood there staring at Riddle in confusion, half smiling when he looked down on the destruction they caused.

The RAW Tag Team division will surely be something to watch in 2021, but now we move on to a different RAW title. With me now, Angel Garza and the United States Champion Andrade Almas. Conspicuous by her absence, Andrade, is your business associate Zelina Vega.

What about what I need? What about my United States Championship? What about the match tonight with Humberto Carrillo? I am not a priority to you?

Andrade Almas (muttering to himself as he walks away):

We? This is what I deal with? It is OUR Championship now?

Kayla Braxton:

Okay. With that, let's get back to the ring.

Despite this being Shotzi Blackheart's official debut as part of the main roster, not much seemed to go her way. Her offense was easily shoved to the side by the brute strength of Nia Jax. Eventually, Jax nailed Blackheart with a Samoan Drop followed by an enormous leg drop to gain the victory.

Before the introductions, backstage, Mustafa Ali was pumping up his friend Mansoor Al-Shehail.

In a fast-paced match, the two Cruiserweights shared back and forth moves culminating in a few exciting stalemates, showcasing the technical talents of both athletes. At one point in the match, The Brian Kendrick was able to hit Mansoor Al-Shehail with Sliced Bread #2, but the Saudi call-up mustered the strength to kick out. They continued to battle until Al-Shehail nailed Kendrick with a Superkick, leaving Kendrick laid out on the mat. Al-Shehail leapt to the top rope, hit Kendrick with a moonsault and got the three count.

Andrade Almas entered the ring, clearly agitated by his current situation. Angel Garza attempted to calm him down, but the fire in Almas' eyes was apparent.

In a show-stealing match, Andrade Almas and Humberto Carrillo threw out everything in the Lucha Libre playbook in order to best each other. Angel Garza, despite being at ringside to support Almas, made no real attempt to sway the match in his teammate's favor. Rey Mysterio, who accompanied Carrillo to the ring, also tried to steer clear of interfering in the contest.

In the end, Almas signaled for Garza to do something, but what he was supposed to do will remain a mystery. Garza was busy, taking what must've been a very important phone call and didn't see Almas' signal. This lack of communication enraged Almas, who leaned through the ropes and smacked the phone out of Garza's hand. As Garza yelled back to Almas, Carrillo took advantage by rolling up Almas and scoring a shocking three count to become the new United States Champion!

In the ring, Rey Mysterio celebrated with Humberto Carrillo, who was overcome with emotion, clinging to his newly-won United States Title.

Outside, Andrade Almas was furious. He tore the top off the announce table, kicked the steel steps and screamed in anger. Angel Garza tried cooling him off, but Almas shoved Garza to the ground and walked off.

In a wild all-out match with four of the greatest wrestlers of this generation, every man had an opportunity to shine. Nearing the end of the match, Daniel Bryan had AJ Styles locked in the LeBell Lock until Kevin Owens broke it up. Owens nailed Bryan with the Pop-Up Powerbomb, but the pin was broken up by Adam Cole. Cole then hit Owens with a Superkick, followed up by the Panama Sunrise, but Owens was able to kick out at 2.

Seething with frustration, Adam Cole gave a signal to his Undisputed Era brothers and a master plan became evident. Roderick Strong, Kyle O'Reilly and Bobby Fish all went under the ring and each came out with a steel chair. They grabbed a fourth chair and handed it to Cole. The brutality began there.

The UE quartet used the steel chairs to demolish both Daniel Bryan and Kevin Owens. Seeing the carnage, AJ Styles escaped and ran up the ramp to the backstage area, essentially taking himself out of the match. With both Bryan and Owens totally incapacitated, Roderick Strong held up Owens as Adam Cole nailed him with the Last Shot, scoring him the victory finally ending this bloody, brutal beatdown.

The Undisputed Era threw Kevin Owens and Daniel Bryan out of the ring. Adam Cole grabbed a mic and issued a very ominous warning to the WWE Universe.

Adam Cole:

The Undisputed Era that you saw in NXT.. those were nice guys. Nice guys that fulfilled a prophecy that no one thought was possible. The Undisputed Era on RAW or Smackdown.. well, you just witnessed what we will do to fulfill a new prophecy. We will take over whatever brand we land on. We will dominate anyone that gets in our way. We will all immediately be surrounded by gold. And that, as you will come to accept, is... Undisputed!

The foursome threw up the UE hand sign and walked their way up the ramp, bloody steel chairs still in their hands.

In a hard-fought match, with loads of stiff shots and submission attempts, Asuka and Shayna Baszler both seemed to have an answer to each other's offense. The end came when Baszler nailed Asuka with a vicious German Suplex. This seemed to seriously daze Asuka, which allowed Baszler to lock in the Kirifuda Clutch.

As soon as she locked in her submission move, however, music played and an extremely unexpected interruption occured.

The final NXT United Kingdom Women's Champion Kay Lee Ray walked down the ramp, grabbed a mic and stood on the ring apron.

Kay Lee Ray:

This match is a joke. Asuka didn't join Smackdown as a Champion. Shayna, you didn't join Smackdown as a Champion. I am the only woman who joined the Smackdown roster still holding a title. This match means nothing unless I am involved in it!

This distraction caused Baszler to unhook the Kirifuda Clutch, stand up and confront Ray. She dressed her down, pointed to the back and told Ray to remove herself from ringside. As Baszler turned around, Asuka nailed her with a spin kick, which transitioned her in to the Asuka Lock. Baszler refused to tap, but was eventually knocked out from the pain. The referee checked on Baszler and, when no movement was present, called for the bell, giving Asuka the victory and the Smackdown Women's Championship!

Asuka celebrated, with confetti streaming down all around her, while Shayna Baszler regained consciousness and Kay Lee Ray proudly walked back up the ramp, applauding Asuka, but also making it clear that her intentions were to become Smackdown Women's Champion!
