Good afternoon, WWE Universe! I'm Alicia Taylor and I'm here to bring you the official line-up for October's WWE Shutdown: Part 2! Gearing up for the 2021 WWE re-opening, fans and Superstars alike are ready for action and the next round is just a few short weeks away!

Sunday, October, Week 2... WWE brings you the second installment of what has already been a fiery series! Last week, on Shutdown: Part 1, Drew McIntyre emphatically defeated King Corbin, signalling his desire for the WWE Championship! A mysterious Hacker taunted Dolph Ziggler & Sonya Deville, much to Mandy Rose's dismay! And the careers of Superstars like Mustafa Ali, The IIconics, Angel Garza, Tony Nese, Mike Kanellis and Keith Lee got quite a jumpstart heading in to the 2021 Reboot.

Who will join them in the Winner's Circle? Well.. wait no longer! Here is the line-up for October's Shutdown: Part 2!:

Smackdown's Tag Team Division headlines Shutdown: Part 2 as The New Day teams with The Usos to take on The Artist Collective and The Hurt Business in a 5-on-5 Elimination Tag Team Match. Between the 10 men in this match, there has been a WWE Championship run, a Royal Rumble winner, 12 Intercontinental Championships, 8 US Championships, 4 NXT Championships and, perhaps most importantly here, 25 Tag Team Championship reigns! But.. which side will gain the advantage when it comes to the Smackdown Tag Team Championship conversation?

At Shutdown: Part 1, as Samoa Joe was introducing himself as a new member to the Smackdown roster, he was attacked from behind by fellow Smackdown Superstar The Celtic Warrior, Sheamus. The two men were eventually separated after they destroyed the backstage area. In October, they'll get to destroy everything all over again, but this time, in a sanctioned WWE Empty Arena Street Fight! Will Sheamus regret his actions or will he be able to shut down Joe's first match as an official member of the Blue Brand?

Two of the strongest women in WWE collide in October, as the EST of WWE Bianca Belair takes on the Sassy Southern Belle Lacey Evans. Both women look to make enough of an impact to immediately be placed in the RAW Women's Title picture in 2021.

When we last saw Randy Orton, he was viciously attacking his former best friend Edge, who had just returned to WWE after a nine-year absence. Orton took it a step further by also attacking Edge's wife and WWE Hall of Famer, Beth Phoenix. Orton will have to temporarily focus that rage elsewhere as he will go one-on-one with NXT upstart Dominik Dijakovic, who is looking to make the biggest splash of his career by defeating the multi-time World Champion Apex Predator.

After a locker room confrontation at Shutdown: Part 1, Chelsea Green will have to prove that she "knows about winning" by defeating the first woman to have won both the RAW and Smackdown Women's Championships, the first woman to win an Elimination Chamber Match and a former Miss Money In The Bank: Alexa Bliss. Five Feet of Fury is a tall task for anyone.

The ring will need to be reinforced when the hard-hitting Viking Raiders go to war with the returning Authors Of Pain. The AOP are looking to pick up right where they left off, defeating their opponents in the name of their Savior: The Monday Night Messiah Seth Rollins. The Viking Raiders are ready to once again thwart the efforts of anything Rollins-related.

The closing of NXT and NXT:UK brings a massive number of Women Superstars to the WWE. Two looking to make a name for themselves prior to the 2021 WWE Re-opening are The Virtuosa Deonna Purrazzo and the Megaton Barbie Piper Niven.

The WWE Reboot Trade Agreement reunites former RAW Tag Team Champions Bobby Roode & Chad Gable and they'll compete at Shutdown: Part 2 against the evil European duo of Fabian Aichner and Marcel Barthel, otherwise known as Imperium. They've travelled to the States, signed WWE contracts and they plan on taking over the Tag Team Division. This will be a good start for whichever team takes home the victory.

Tom Phillips and Corey Graves welcome the WWE Universe to Shutdown: Part 2! They run down tonight's line-up before getting to the opening match!

Chelsea Green's overconfidence was unfounded as Alexa Bliss had an answer for almost everything she attempted. When Green got angry and aggressive, Bliss got twice as angry and three times as aggressive. Eventually, Bliss threw a knockout punch at Green, collapsing her to the mat, allowing Bliss to climb to the top rope and hit Twisted Bliss for the three count!

After the match, Nikki Cross and Killian Dain ran to the ring to celebrate with Alexa Bliss, all three asking Chelsea Green "who the pathetic loser was now?" as she moped her way to the back.

In an extremely competitive tag team match, Chad Gable and Bobby Roode's year and a half apart put them at a disadvantage, which Imperium happily used in their favor. With Gable down on the outside, Fabian Aichner hoisted Bobby Roode on to his shoulders while Marcel Barthel climbed to the top rope. Imperium hit the European Bomb to pick up the victory!

Backstage, Chelsea Green attempted to pull Robert Stone to the side. Green pleaded with Stone:

Robert, I made a terrible mistake in firing you and I'd like to make it up to you by offering my services once again to the spectacular Robert Stone Brand! I only fired you becau....

Robert Stone:

Let me stop you right there, Chels. When you fired me, I thought I was done in WWE. I was sitting at home, no WWE, no TV, no clients.. and then I realized, I'm Robert Stone! I don't need Chelsea Green to make The Robert Stone Brand! It's not the Chelsea Green Brand! Plus, did you see yourself out there with Alexa Bliss?! Honestly Chels, I don't need that kind of negativity in my life right now. I'm riding high, baby! Look around me! I've got the most beautiful collection of talent the WWE has ever seen! Future Smackdown Tag Team Champions: Lewis Howley and Sam Stoker, also known as Pretty Deadly! And the next WWE Women's Tag Team Champions: Aliyah and Vanessa Borne! Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to go get my clients matches for next month's Shutdown!

Chelsea Green:

But... but Robert, I....

Robert Stone:

Shh shh shh, you'll be fine Chels.. but for now, go be fine somewhere else.

As the entire Robert Stone Brand walked off, Chelsea Green fell to the ground, screaming for attention.

This back-and-forth battle ended when Deonna Purrazzo attempted a flying crossbody from the top rope. Piper Niven caught her and drove her into the mat with a powerslam. Niven followed that up with an enormous splash and then picked up Purrazzo, delivering the Piper Driver for the win!

This gigantic tag team encounter ended in chaos. Both the Viking Raiders and the Authors Of Pain couldn't control their aggression and all four men brawled on the ramp, ultimately ending the match in a double countout.

After the match, Buddy Murphy ran to the ring and assisted the AOP in their beat down of the Erik and Ivar. The attack was quickly stopped, however, when Aleister Black ran down and evened out the playing field. All six men brawled around the ringside area until Seth Rollins inserted himself in to the equation. The Monday Night Ministry quickly took advantage of their 4-on-3 situation and beat down the Viking Raiders and Aleister Black.

It only got worse from there, as Akam and Rezar held Erik and Ivar down while Seth Rollins and Buddy Murphy carried Aleister Black up the ramp. Murphy held Black in position as Rollins delivered not one, not two, but three Stomps to Black on the steel ramp. The Monday Night Ministry looked pleased with their actions as they retreated to the back.

Charly Caruso:

Brutal outcome for Aleister Black at the hands of Seth Rollins and his Monday Night Ministry. I'm sure that won't be the last we hear of that intense rivalry. Switching gears, with me now is a man who returned to action at last month's Shutdown Event with a win over Riddick Moss, Mustafa Ali. Mustafa, thanks for being here with me..

Mustafa Ali:

Anytime Charly! Great to be here and great to be back doing what I love to do!

Charly Caruso:

Aside from last month, we haven't seen you in a WWE ring since late 2019. Where have you been and why the absence?

Mustafa Ali:

Funny you should put it that way, Charly. Where was I? I was sitting at home, on my couch, with my wife and kids, watching RAW and Smackdown and the Royal Rumble and the Elimination Chamber, wondering why I wasn't there. Why the absence? You'll have to field that question with someone much higher up than myself.

Charly Caruso:

Fair enough. That being said, you're back. So, where do you go from here? What are your personal goals for 2021?

Mustafa Ali:

My personal goals? I want to do it all! I want to perform for the WWE Universe! I want to challenge myself! I want to win my first Championship in WWE! Sami Zayn, I'm looking right at you and your Intercontinental title, friend. But, I also see that the Smackdown Tag Team Championship is still up in the air, so that brings me to a friend I want to introduce the world to. You've seen him on the WWE Saudi Arabian shows. He's defeated Cesaro. He's defeated Dolph Ziggler. He's won the biggest Battle Royal in WWE history. And together, I think we have what it takes to win the Smackdown Tag Team Championship. But I'll let him speak to that. It is my pleasure to welcome to the main roster, Mansoor Al-Shehail!

Mansoor Al-Shehail:

Mustafa, thank you! You say it is your pleasure, but the pleasure is all mine! This is what I've been working so hard to achieve and the fact that I get to live my dream with someone I can truly call a friend is everything I've ever wanted. We will take Smackdown by storm. Saudi.. Pakistani.. none of that matters. All that matters is Unity!

And with that, let's get back to the ring!

In the most brutal match thus far in the Shutdown series, Samoa Joe battled Sheamus all over the Empty WWE Arena. They took the fight to the locker room, where Sheamus slammed a locker door on Joe's head. The showers, where both men slipped and slid all over the place. Up and down the empty arena stairs, where Joe shoved Sheamus, forcing him to roll down an entire section of concrete staircase. Near the production equipment, where both men were sent through tables. Ultimately, they made their way back to the ring, where Joe used a fire extinguisher to lock on an even more brutal version of the Coquina Clutch. Sheamus didn't tap out, however, he passed out from the pain, forcing the referee to stop the match.

In an extremely even match, Bianca Belair and Lacey Evans showed why they are both forces to be reckoned with in 2021. Belair kicked out after an Evans' Woman's Right. Evans kicked out after a KOD. The match ultimately ended when Evans missed with a second Woman's Right, allowing Belair to capture her in a small package, picking up the victory!

After the match, Belair walked to the top of the ramp and was met by the RAW Tag Team Champions, Angelo Dawkins and her husband, Montez Ford. The trio started dancing until the Street Profits were unexpectedly attacked from behind by Shane Thorne, Bronson Reed and Brendan Vink. The Aussies laid out the RAW Tag Team Champions, picked up their belts and made it clear that they were coming for the titles somewhere down the road.

An insanely hard-hitting match saw both Randy Orton and Dominik Dijakovic take the best of what their opponent had to offer. In the end, Orton was able to hit an RKO out of nowhere on Dijakovic, but before he could make the cover, another out-of-nowhere moment happened.

Orton turned around and was speared out of his boots by the returning, focused and extremely angry Edge!

The violent Rated-R Superstar viciously beat down Orton until WWE Officials could remove him and drag him to the back!

As the match began, Sami Zayn made it clear to his entire team that he was in charge and he would be calling the shots. No one, including his own Artist Collective teammates seemed terribly impressed. But, he stated that as the only Champion in the match, it was the only thing that made sense!

The first fall came as Shinsuke Nakamura was nailed by a double Superkick from the Usos, allowed Jey Uso to score first blood.

The New Day and The Usos were having a good time at their opponents' expense. Pancakes were thrown around the ring and, at one point, a bucket of syrup was dumped on MVP's head. This distracted Cesaro and allowed Xavier Woods to roll him up for the pinfall elimination.

Seething and sticky, MVP called Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin to his side. Disgusted by Zayn's treatment, the syrup and the overall direction this match was headed, The Hurt Business abandoned Zayn and walked out of the match.

Zayn, now in an unwinnable 5-on-1 situation, pleaded for The New Day and The Usos to have mercy on him. They did not.

Zayn was nailed with a Jey Uso Superkick, followed by a Jimmy Uso top rope splash. Xavier Woods hit Zayn with a Shining Wizard. Kofi Kingston stood Zayn up only to knock him back down with a Trouble In Paradise. And to finish off the match, Big E hit Zayn with the Big Ending and pinned him for the win!

After the match, pyro went off, confetti fell from the ceiling and the New Day held a celebration. They were joined by The Usos, Naomi, Carmella, Mustafa Ali, Mansoor Al-Shehail, Charly Caruso, Alexa Bliss, Nikki Cross, Killian Dain and Piper Niven. Chelsea Green tried to join in the festivities, but Big E screamed "Noooooope!" as he pointed his finger towards the ramp, sending her back to the locker room. The dancing continued as the show faded to black.

WWE Universe, it is good to be home! Brad Maddox here with Breaking News surrounding the WWE Smackdown Women's Championship. Before we get to the future, let's start with what has happened during the Shutdown with all players involved.

Becky Lynch went in to the Shutdown as RAW Women's Champion. Bayley went in as Smackdown Women's Champion. Shayna Baszler decisively won the #1 Contender's Elimination Chamber Match, therefore she entered the Shutdown as #1 Contender to Lynch's title.

In May, Becky Lynch announced that she was expecting her first child and therefore would be forced to give up her RAW Women's Championship. At this time, no decision had been made regarding what would happen to the title.

Before a decision could be made, the blockbuster WWE Reboot Trade Agreement took place and MASSIVE changes were made. RAW would draft the Smackdown Women's Champion Bayley and her best friend Sasha Banks. RAW would also draft NXT Women's Champion Rhea Ripley and the 2020 Royal Rumble winner, Charlotte Flair.

Smackdown would draft Becky Lynch, along with her #1 Contender Shayna Baszler and Asuka. Per the rules of the Draft, the Champions would swap titles. Bayley was given the RAW Women's Championship and technically, Becky Lynch was given the Smackdown Women's Championship. After the draft, Lynch would go on social media and proclaim that she wanted to give her now-vacated Championship to the woman she deemed the "toughest opponent in her entire career": Asuka. This sat well with everyone except the Irish Lass-Kicker's #1 Contender, the Queen of Spades, Shayna Baszler.

Baszler protested the decision and questioned how Lynch had the power to just give her title away, and apparently, WWE Officials (including the yet-to-be-revealed Smackdown General Manager) agreed with Baszler. And that brings us to the future:

The decision was made that NOBODY would be handed the Smackdown Women's Championship and instead, at Shutdown: Part 4 in December, Asuka will take on Shayna Baszler one-on-one, winner becoming Champion!

He does in my Dynasty. But no, in real life, he's been gone from WWE for a long time. I knew him way back when I lived in Louisville, during his OVW days.. and I always saw a great deal of talent in him. Yeah, he was a part of some shady business with Paige and Woods... but we still don't know who leaked what and so I made the decision to bring him in as a personality.

Truth be told, I still haven't fully decided what to do with him (so, no, he is not going to be the yet-to-be-named Smackdown General Manager).. but I like him, so I hired him back on.
