Bob Hanson
Arlie: Have you ever considered making your sim engine available to other developers for a cost? I'd love to build a multiplayer only pro football game but I don't have the time/desire to build the actual sim/playbook engine. But I'd probably find time to build the rest of the game (draft, interface, multiplayer server, etc) around an engine. My only problem is a dislike of VB6 (that is so 90s). :) So you'd have to build it as a COM component.
Arlie Rahn
I plan on doing a pro football game in the not too distant future, so I would probably not be interested in doing that right now.
Shamrock
A GD Pro Football Sim? Looking forward to it!!!
StormEd
Hope it's not multiplayer only. That seems to be a fairly slim slice of the total market.
moring
[QUOTE=StormEd]Hope it's not multiplayer only. Usually it is the opposite, the games are designed as single player, with multiplayer as more of an afterthought... hopefully the multiplayer experience will be more integrated in his upcoming title... i.e. importing of draft classes, rosters, coaches, editing of players, coaches, owners, stadiums, head to head gameplay via online, every possible report imaginable and exportable to html. aef027
Being able to play HTH would put this new pro game over the top.

StormEd
It can be a great little randomized factor. Just imagine the surprise of receiving the e-mail that your prize draftee, the quarterback who was going to lead your team back to glory, has just been busted.
StormEd
Of course, there can be all those other little goodies that pop up from time to time - arrests, etc. I can't wait.

Johnny Slick
Three more words: CUSTOMIZEABLE LEAGUE SIZES. I like to play in "God" mode, and I don't like worrying about 32 freaking teams. 18 (the 1984 USFL size) is much better.
MrHaroldG
Add two more words - CUSTOMIZABLE PLAYOFFS. I especially like the 1982 format, which had 16 playoff teams, 8 per conference.

moring
Also the ability for the league to expand... even adding in something along the lines of NFL Europe would be so awesome I know it could never happen... Great ideas and suggestions I hope Arlie is taking notes... :D
StormEd
How about the ability to re-configure the NFL? Allow us to return to the days of the AFL/NFL!
Cardinals
Total Pro Football was Arlie's first effort at a pro football sim and it was phenominal when you consider that. He has definitely raised the bar for this game. Can't wait for an official announcement!!
