COMPANY NEWS

USPW has signed a deal with Reverie to debut a new show called USPW: Controversy TV.

Preparations for the Rip Chord Invitational Challenge are going well. We should be able to announce the list of participants this time next week.

TCW has upgraded its training facilities. It is said that their facilities are now equal to SWF's Supreme Wrestling University.

SIGNINGS

MAW has brought in the following workers for its yearly Rip Chord Invitational Challenge:

From CZCW: Frankie Perez ¦ From IPW: Hugh de Aske ¦ From NYCW: Tennessee William ¦ From OLLIE: Marcos Flores

TCW has brought in Jez McArthuer as a referee.

BACKSTAGE

Backstage morale in TCW is said to be very good at the moment. RDJ's arrival has been singled out as the reason, as he's still very popular and highly respected among the active roster. It looks like many within TCW have a newfound eagerness to put in their best performances.

Ernest Youngman will debut tomorrow evening for TCW. He'll be bringing along his valet from the independents, Venus Angeletti.

Many in TCW are of the opinion that Austin Laine will be a star in the future. His debut performance has been very well received backstage.

T-Bone Bright vs Greg Gauge © for the TCW Television title

We jump right in this week as T-Bone Bright challenges for the TCW Television title in a match against the current champ, Greg Gauge.

The very fun and fast-paced fight ends with Greg Gauge submitting T-Bone Bright with a Proton Lock. Gauge makes defense number ten of his title.

Winner:
Greg Gauge via submission in 15:33

BENSON HASN'T FORGOTTEN

With Gauge still celebrating in the ring, we see Benny Benson on the big screen standing backstage.

Benson:
Greg Gauge. Congratulations on your victory. But don't believe I've forgotten your little distraction during my match two weeks ago. I've a proposition for you. How about you and me at Malice in Wonderland?

The camera cuts back to Gauge who nods with a smile on his face.

CHORD BEATS DOWN BACH BACKSTAGE

Chord:
Good luck tonight, Sammy. Looking forward to our date in two weeks.

Edd Stone vs Matt Hocking

In our second match of the night, Edd Stone takes on Matt Hocking. He will be trying to bounce back from his loss last week.

During the match,
Freddy Huggins
, who is at ringside, is helping out Hocking by distracting Stone every chance he gets. One has to wonder whether there is still bad blood between the former partners or whether it's merely Huggins supporting his new partner by questionable means.

Hocking makes the most out of a distracted Stone when he hits the Hock Shock out of the blue, which is enough for the win.

Winner:
Matt Hocking via pinfall in 18:11

GOLDWORTHY PUTS OUT A CHALLENGE FOR MIGHTY MEATY

After a short commercial break, we see Floyd Goldworthy backstage with Titan and a still sweaty Killer Shark.

Goldworthy:
Tana, Mo, you have been nothing but thorns in our side. So let's settle this in the ring. My clients are willing to put their belts on the line at Malice In Wonderland. If you aren't afraid to step in the ring with them, that is.

Elliot Thomas vs Ernest Youngman

Next up is the debut of Ernest Youngman, who enters the ring accompanied by his long-term valet
Venus Angeletti
.

He takes on Elliot Thomas, who hasn't had the most success lately.

A decent match that allows the crowd to take a breather ends with Ernest Youngman pinning Elliot Thomas while blatantly grabbing the ropes.

Winner:
Ernest Youngman via pinfall in 9:56

<div style="padding: 15px; border: 3px solid #000000; margin:10px;background: #e5e5e5; max-width:100%;box-shadow: 0 3px 12px ";">
GJIxeVi.jpgALkXftN.pngY5Y4FyR.jpg

Sammy Bach vs Troy Tornado

It's time for our co-main event. Sammy Bach, who is still visibly hurt from the attack earlier tonight, takes on Troy Tornado.

Troy Tornado looks strong during the match, meticulously focusing on Sammy's back, which looks to have taken the most damage earlier.

During the later part of the match, Bach finds his rhythm, and after Tornado botches an attempt to hit the Star Maker, Bach counters with the Bach on your Back, ending the fight.

Winner:
Sammy Bach via pinfall in 16:08

HAWKINS AND HAMMOND HYPE THE MAIN EVENT

We go backstage where Hawkins and Hammond stand by.

Hawkins:
When the so-called "new sheriff in town" decided that we have to lace our boots tonight to beat down those no good has been bums One Man Army and Human Arsenal he didn't take into account that we'll be severely hurting his old pals. But he'll have no one but himself to blame.

Hammond:

Hawkins:

P2jxN8Q.jpgf1rjxYS.jpgALkXftN.pngLM7u432.jpgKsPg1vF.jpg

One Man Army and Human Arsenal vs Wolf Hawkins and Doc Hammond

Our main event of the evening sees Wolf Hawkins and Doc Hammond take on Human Arsenal and One Man Army.

Doc Hammond and One Man Army have a lot of history together, and it will be interesting to see whether there will be any additional drama because of it.

The match starts out pretty evenly, with Hawkins clearly the biggest threat in the ring.

Halfway through the match, Hawkins is thrown out of the ring. Moments later
Aaron Andrews
sprints down the ramp and starts beating on Hawkins.

The two rivals start brawling through the arena and soon disappear backstage.

In the ring, Doc Hammond starts to feel the numbers game. He's overwhelmed by his opponents attack and the Guided Missile finishes it for the good guys.

Winner:
One Man Army and Human Arsenal via pinfall in 22:25 with One Man Army pinning Doc Hammond for the win

From MAW: Ralph Liotta, The Architect, Copperhead, Ade Nelson

From NYCW: Tennessee William

From OLLIE: Marcos Flores

We should have the full card in our next news roundup.

SIGNINGS

Inside sources have told us that TCW may have completed a big signing. Everyone is very hush about it, though, so we have no further info at this moment.

BACKSTAGE

Three weeks in we're starting to see RDJ's influence on TCW's booking. It is said that RDJ is very high on believable long-term booking, and he may already have all the major storyline planned out for the remainder of the year. Many backstage are reportedly very happy about the change, one source telling us that "storylines have made absolutely no sense during the past year".

Matthew DeVille, formerly known as Aldous Blackfriar, will debut tomorrow evening for TCW.

Right, lets see if I can get this done without messing up like last time. :D

Dazzling Dave Diamond vs Joshua Taylor

I see Taylor as bigger name out from these two.

Mighty Meaty vs Marc Speed and Maverick

Named team that is going to challenge for tag belts over random pairing

Roderick Remus vs Matthew DeVille

I was thinking about debut win for DeVille but popularity difference looks too big to me to make that likely plus Remus had pretty good match with Gauge and that was semi-main event match as well so I´d assume Remus is higher on pecking order than what I first thought.

Chance Fortune vs Eddie Chandler

Chandler won against Devine so I assume Fortune ties the score here.

One Man Army vs Doc Hammond

Thinking that Hammond has bit more going on right now

Aaron Andrews and Sammy Bach vs The Hybrid Two

Hybrid Two looks to be getting a push but it´s not this big.

Dazzling Dave Diamond vs Joshua Taylor

Our first match of the evening pits veteral wrestlers Dazzling Dave Diamond and Joshua Taylor against each other.

Diamond has had his ups and downs during the last months while Taylor has been on tear, only losing to The Ace when he challenged for the title last month.

In a good opening bout, Taylor submits Diamond with the Butterfly Lock.

Winner:
Joshua Taylor via submission in 14:05

Mighty Meaty vs Maverick and Marc Speed

We continue with our second match of the evening. Mighty Meaty will battle the team of Marc Speed and Maverick.

Mighty Meaty have been feuding with the Sinner Society lately. They have yet to accept the challenge laid out by the tag team champs.

A surprisingly competitive match ends with Mo pinning Marc Speed.

Roderick Remus vs Matthew DeVille

We are back with our next bout. Matthew DeVille will make his debut against Roderick Remus.

DeVille has become quite infamous on the independents with his dark, obscure, cult leader type of personna.

DeVille enters the ring dressed in black, with his face painted white. Looks like we'll be getting more of the same now that he's arrived in TCW.

In a fun, competitive bout, DeVille walks away victorious after hitting Remus with the Batwing, a modified One Winged Angel.

Chance Fortune vs Eddie Chandler

The fourth match is about to start. Chance Fortune and Eddie Chandler will be going toe to toe.

Fortune will be hoping to avenge his partner's loss at the hands of Chandler.

During the match, Nate Johnson, who snuck down to the ring earlier, trips Fortune, leading to the finisher by submission.

Eddie Chandler via submission in 9:50

RDJ COMPLETES MALICE IN WONDERLAND CARD

We go backstage where RDJ sits behind his desk in his office.

RDJ:
There are only a couple of days left until Malice in Wonderland. It's one of the biggest events of the year, and I have nothing but great memories, having won my first world title at Malice back in 2006.

Edd Stone has approached me earlier this evening and has asked for a match against Freddy Huggins. Only fair, considering Huggins has lost him his match against Matt Hocking last week. The match will be happening.

I can also officially confirm that Mighty Meaty will get a shot at winning the World Tag Team titles when they face the current champs The Behemoths.

Having seen what transpired earlier, we'll also see Devine Fortune facing off against The Elite.

Of course we already announced three of the matches, as Benny Benson will get his chance at revenge against Greg Gauge; Sammy Bach will go one on one with Jay Chord; and "The Ace" Aaron Andrews will face off against Wolf Hawkins to defend his World Heavyweight title.

Last but not least, One Man Army and Human Arsenal, who have won last week's main event, will battle it out with Joshua Taylor to decide the number one contender for the TCW World Heavyweight title. That is, if OMA can confirm last week's win by pinning Doc Hammond again. If not, Hammond will take his place.

One Man Army vs Doc Hammond

In a suddenly high stakes affair, One Man Army faces off with his former best friend and tag team partner, Doc Hammond.

Aaron Andrews and Sammy Bach vs The Hybrid Two

It's time for our main event. Aaron Andrews and Sammy Bach will take on The Hybrid Two, who have been on a hot streak since chaining forces.

In a deja vu moment from last week we see
Wolf Hawkins
interfering in the match, taking Aaron Andrews out of the match and into the crowd where they continue to brawl.

In the ring, Sammy Bach manages to overcome the odds and is able to pin Matt Hocking for the win.

Rip Chord Invitational Challenge Quarter-Final Match #1

Marcos Flores vs The Architect

Looking at MAW´s starting roster, Architect looks to be highest on the pecking order so I assume he goes far in this tournament as a result

Rip Chord Invitational Challenge Quarter-Final Match #2

Ralph Liotta vs Tennessee William

Liotta seems to be face so I assume he gets into second round since I assume all matches will be face vs. heel

Rip Chord Invitational Challenge Quarter-Final Match #3

Frankie Perez vs Ade Nelson

Perez looks like the biggest name in this tournament so I do expect him to get past the first round

Rip Chord Invitational Challenge Quarter-Final Match #4

Hugh de Aske vs Copperhead

With both Nelson and Copperhead being heels, I again assume their first round opponents would be faces and if that is the case, Then I see Copperhead going forward here to set face vs. heel on second round

DeMarcus & Gray vs The Wolf Pack (Siona Tokoeka and Sean Noggin) for the Mid Atlantic Tag Team titles

Going with no title changes in the first show.

Rip Chord Invitational Challenge Semi-Final Match #1

The Architect vs Ralph Liotta

Pretty much same reasoning than on first round, Architect is the most over guy from MAW in this tournament and you likely want to have at least one guy from MAW in the finals and Architect looks most likely to be that guy.

Rip Chord Invitational Challenge Semi-Final Match #2

Frankie Perez vs Copperhead

Again, Perez is the biggest name in my eye here plus Copperhead is a heel too so if I´m right about Architect getting into finals you certainly want face to advance here.

Bradley Blaze vs Cheetah Boy for the Mid Atlantic Championship title

Again, no title change on the first show.

Rip Chord Invitational Challenge Final

The Architect vs Frankie Perez

Now this is the one match on this card that I´m least sure I´m right. Logically Architect should win since you want to build your own guys instead of one shot guests but Frankie feels like bigger name and I have hard time going against him plus MAW seems to have a habit to let guys outside of their own company win these tournaments as quite many of the past winners look to be elsewhere...At the end, the deciding factor to me here is that Architect is actually slightly more popular in Mid Atlantic than Perez, I do feel that´s no accident so I assume Architect goes over by getting a big win here over one of the biggest regional stars and establish himself as one of the top guys in MAW.

Marcos Flores vs The Architect

We kick off the show with our first quarter final match of the Rip Chord Invitational tournament.

The Architect, who has been steadily climbing MAW's ranks, will face off with Marcos Flores from OLLIE.

Marcos Flores is no stranger to MAW's fanbase, being a former Sam Keith Classic winner together with Nicolas Lopez.

From the opening bell, it's pretty clear that Marcos Flores will not be able to replicate his success, as his much younger and much hungrier opponent systematically breaks him down.

In the end, The Architect is able to submit Flores with his trademark finisher, the Blueprint.

Winner:
The Architect via submission in 14:05

Ralph Liotta va Tennessee William

The second match of the night features MAW's Ralph Liotta against Tennessee William from NYCW.

William has recently become one of the fiercest heels in the Tri State area, and his underhanded tactics are on full display tonight.

In the beginning, Liotta doesn't seem to have an answer for William's offense, but his unparalleled gas tank soon comes into play.

In the end, Liotta manages to tire out William with his high-speed style, and he manages to get the pin after ten super fast paces minutes.

Winner:
Ralph Liotta via pinfall in 10:18

Frankie Perez vs Ade Nelson

The third match of the night sees CZCW's Frankie Perez go one on one with MAW's Ade Nelson.

Perez is an outright legend on the West coast, and he is also one half of the current MAW Sam Keith Classic trophy holders, the other being Masked Cougar.

Nelson tries his best to keep the match competitive, but it becomes clear pretty soon that Perez is here to win his second successive MAW trophy.

In the end, Nelson is the first worker from MAW who is not able to proceed to the next round as he has to tap to the P-Clutch.

Winner:
Frankie Perez via submission in 13:42

Hugh de Aske vs Copperhead

In the last of the quarter final matches, Hugh de Aske, who is representing IPW, goes up against MAW's Copperhead.

The match is pretty one sided, with Copperhead being the much more dangerous competitor – despite his size disadvantage.

Copperhead manages to pin De Aske in less than ten minutes, advancing to the semi finals as a result.

Winner:
Copperhead via pinfall in 9:53

DeMarcus & Gray vs The Wolf Pack for the Mid Atlantic Tag Team titles

The next match is for the MAW Mid Atlantic Tag Team titles, as DeMarcus & Gray go up against the Wolf Pack.

The Wolf Pack have made their desire to become champions very clear when they attacked DeMarcus & Gray during last year's The Night of the Champions.

The challengers look pretty good during the match, but in the end they have to pay for their inexperience, as the champs manage to isolate Noggin and wear him down.

DeMarcus & Gray make their first title defense.

Winner:
DeMarcus & Gray via pinfall in 13:35 with Nate DeMarcus pinning Sean Noggin for the win

Ralph Liotta vs The Architect

It's time for the first semi final, as Ralph Liotta, who has a visibly bruised eye from his earlier bout, faces off against The Architect.

The two men have been involved in one of MAW's hottest feuds lately, but they have to prove themselves without their partners tonight.

The fans are firmly in the corner of Liotta, but the crowd support isn't enough as The Architect manages to wear down his foe by repeatedly targeting his lower back.

In the end, the physical abuse starts to pile up as Liotta slows down more and more, giving The Architect a window of opportunity to apply his finisher.

Winner:
The Architect via submission in 15:47

Frankie Perez vs Copperhead

It will be interesting to see who The Architect will have to face in the main event, as Frankie Perez and Copperhead battle it out for the second spot.

Copperhead finds some early success, but Perez is the much more experienced competitor, and he's able to time his attacks to maximum effect.

In the latter stages of the match, Perez takes over and systematically wears down his opponent, finishing another match with his signature submission.

Winner:
Frankie Perez via submission in 13:59

Bradley Blaze vs Cheetah Boy for the Mid Atlantic Championship title

It's time for our second title match of the night, as Cheetah Boy will try to dethrone the relatively newly crowned king of MAW, Bradley Blaze.

Bradley Blaze has been on an unbelievable run during the latter stage of last year, and it looks like he could be champ for a long time.

Cheetah Boy will be more than happy to derail Blaze's momentum though, and he has many years of experience on his opponent.

Blaze comes out guns blazing, and he manages to overwhelm Cheetah Boy early on, leading to a couple near falls in the first few minutes of the match.

However, Cheetah Boy's experience comes into play, as he uses every dirty trick in the book to slow down his rival.

After a blatant low blow, Cheetah Boy almost manages to get a three count, as Blaze kicks out at the last split second.

Cheetah Boy is furious and starts arguing with the referee, which gives Blaze the opportunity to hit the Dallas Drop out of nowhere.

Blaze makes defense number two of his title.

Winner:
Bradley Blaze via pinfall in 18:30

THE ARCHITECT HAS A PLAN

We go backstage where The Architect is going over his game plan with his partner Jonah Pilgrim.

The Architect:
This is a match between two submission masters, but Frankie's top game is weak. It should be easy to pin him to the ground and keep him there, given that I'm much heavier than him. No way that he can apply his finisher from the bottom.

The camera pans away from the two as it is time for the final match. Looks like The Architect has a plan.

Frankie Perez vs The Architect for the Rip Chord Invitational Challenge trophy

The crowd is buzzing with excitement as the two competitors make their way to the ring. Who will prevail? The unsung hero of the independents, or the scheming bastard that is The Architect.

Both men have been in action twice already tonight, so it will be interesting to see who has more left in the tank.

The Architect follows his preparations to a T as he's trying to pin Perez down to the floor and wear him out.

Perez has been through situations like this before, though, and his experience shows as he masterfully escapes every time The Architect has him on the floor.

After a while, Perez finds his rhythm and manages to punish The Architect with stiff strikes every time he tries to take him down.

The Architect responds by tying Frankie Perez up in the corner, and showering him with stiff chops.

The match continues with a lot of back and forth action until things slow down when both men start to tire.

The Architect has made sure that Perez feels his legs as he has twisted them every chance he got.

A final sweep takes Perez off his legs and onto the mat, where The Architect is finally able to apply The Blueprint.

Winner:
The Architect via submission in 21:51

Just catching up with this and great, fun read so far! Often times the predictable path is the smart path. Predictable usually means solid, logical story-telling and makes unpredictable moments more meaningful. :)

Looking forward to see how Malice plays out!
