RDJ SUSPENDS HAWKINS

We open the show with RDJ, flanked by security guards, standing in the middle of the ring.

RDJ:
Before I returned to TCW as its commissioner this January, I was known to fans as RDJ, the Fist Fighter from Texas. I've wrestled for this company for more than 20 years, and I've got to know the roster intimately. Many of the boys in the back have become like brothers to me, and they were the reason that I've committed myself to help this company in any way I could when I returned. This never meant that I would play favorites, of course. Nothing will be handed out for free, and all opportunities will be earned as long as I'm the sheriff around here. This is my promise to you, the fans.

"RDJ" chants drown out the arena.

RDJ:
Unfortunately, some people in the back seem to have forgotten that booking decisions in this company were always meant to be based on merit. Since The Syndicate's return in 2018, Hawkins and his cronies have tried to bully themselves into the title picture. This culminated in last week's attack, when Hawkins tried to bully me into giving him a title shot. Unfortunately for him, I've never been known to back down from a fight. So let's settle this right now. Wolf! Get your ass down here!

After a moment of suspense, Hawkins' music hits and he walks down the ramp among a chorus of jeers and boos. With a mic in hand, he enters the ring.

Hawkins:
The security guards behind you seem to contradict your tough guy act, Ricky. I'm here all by myself, so why don't we handle this like we used to. I'd love to retire your ass a second time.

RDJ:
You know, Wolf, for someone who prides himself on being a "businessman" you don't seem to be very business savvy. I'm not about to come out of retirement for you, and I also don't need to. As the commissioner of TCW, I'm here to tell you that, as of right now, you are suspended for the remainder of the month.

Before Hawkins can reply he's being restrained by the security guards. He's shouting and kicking, but to no avail. The numbers are stacked against him. To the delight of the fans, Hawkins is escorted out of the arena.

RDJ:
As for the rest of The Syndicate: The Elite will have to go up against the newly formed team of Mighty Mo and Mighty Allen and Doc Hammond will have to go one on one with my good old pal Triple D. Any interference from the other members of The Syndicate will result in an immediate suspension.

The Mighty vs The Elite

First up is the match between The Elite and The Mighty. The Elite come out visibly upset about what just happened. Mo and Allen come out to a big ovation from the crowd.

From the opening bell, The Mighty look like the more dominant force. They are calm and collected and their teamwork looks like they've been teaming for years.

Chandler and Johnson struggle to get any offense going and, while their teamwork gets better throughout the match, they have to focus on survival.

A Running Powerslam from Allen on Johnson seals The Elite's fate.

Winner:
The Mighty via pinfall in 14:03 with Allen pinning Johnson for the win

TANA GETS DESTROYED

While The Mighty are still celebrating in the ring, we see Killer Shark, Titan and Nick Booth from the Sinner Society beating down Tana The Mighty on the big screen. Allen and Mo run to the back, but when they arrive the attackers are already gone.

Dazzling Dave Diamond vs Doc Hammond

In the second match of the evening, Doc Hammond has to prove himself against "Triple D" Dazzling Dave Diamond. The Syndicate is banned from ringside.

The match starts off with Diamond looking strong. His style of "bar room" fighting has made him a big favorite with the fans, and they're firmly in his corner.

Hammond gets booed every time he gets in some offense. The fans seem to really hope that this night will continue to be a disaster for The Syndicate.

Just as it looks like Triple D will be able to get a second straight win for the first time in a while, Hammond manages to apply the Texas Cloverleaf out of the blue.

Winner:
Doc Hammond via submission in 9:50

DEVINE AND FORTUNE BRAWL

The camera cuts to the backstage area, where Darryl Devine and Chance Fortune are brawling. It looks like Devine Fortune is a thing of the past.

Benny Benson vs Roderick Remus vs Marc Speed vs Ernest Youngman

The third match of the night is a four-way tie between Benny Benson, Roderick Remus, Marc Speed and Ernest Youngman.

Youngman has impressed in his first couple of weeks in TCW, but he's still looking for his first win since his debut.

Speed, Remus and Benson have all been very inconsistent so far in 2020. They will be looking to get some momentum tonight.

The match is very fast-paced and it looks like anyone could win at any moment. In the end it is Speed who manages to submit Remus for the win.

Winner:
Marc Speed via pinfall in 9:27

PEAK PERFORMANCE AT THE WAR TO SETTLE THE SCORE?

Backstage, Eddie Peak is standing by with a big grin. He's flanked by his stablemates who look as menacing as ever.

Peak:
So… The Mighty, huh? I shouldn't be surprised that you had to bring in outside help, Tana. You couldn't beat any one of us at this point, even on your best day. It's funny, really, you calling yourself The Mighty, when you lost your might years ago. How about you and me go one on one next Sunday? I can't wait to show you what true might looks like.

T-Bone Bright vs Joshua Taylor

Next up, we have T-Bone Bright go one on one with the next man to challenge for the World title, Joshua Taylor.

T-Bone has been pretty successful throughout the last months, and he'll be looking for his biggest win yet.

The match is very entertaining, with a lot of back and forth action. It's evident that T-Bone has improved a lot.

However, Taylor is one of the fiercest competitors in TCW, and he's a little too much too soon for T-Bone.

Taylor submits T-Bone with a Butterfly Lock.

Winner:
Joshua Taylor via submission in 16:16

ANDREWS IS NOT IMPRESSED

Taylor walks up the ramp when Aaron Andrews appears. The two men exchange some heated words, not all of which is picked up by the mics. We can clearly hear, though, that Andrews is not too impressed with Taylor's performance, and he seems to wish Taylor good luck in their upcoming match.

Sammy Bach vs Freddy Huggins

It's time for the main event of the evening. Sammy Bach, who has yet to accept Chord's challenge for a rematch, goes up against Freddy Huggins.

Both men have a lot of momentum on their sides, and it will be interesting to see whether Huggins will be able to prevail against a bonafide main eventer.

The match is great, with a lot of action and some flashy moves. Both men look to be close to victory on several occasions.

In the end, Sammy Bach manages to overcome his opponents' offense. He wins the match by submission.

Winner:
Sammy Bach via submission in 15:58

CHORD LAYS OUT BACH

While still celebrating, Bach is blindsided by Jay Chord, who somehow snuck into the ring without anyone noticing.

No one is surprised to see Chord, of course, as this feud is far from over. Chord lets his fists fly and hits Bach with a Super DDT. He stands tall as the camera goes to black.

Benny & The Foxx and Bart Biggins vs The Hybrid Two and Maverick

Hybrid Two have been step above rest of these guys so far.

Edd Stone vs Ernest Youngman

Thinking that Stone is too big name for Youngman to go over here.

Chance Fortune vs Matthew DeVille

Same logic here, feeling that Fortune is too established to lose but I couls still see it happening if Devine interferes

Dave Newton vs Troy Tornado

Yet another too established to lose reasoning, starting to think I have to wrong on at least one of these.

Danny Fonzarelli and Human Arsenal vs The Elite

Team over random pairing

Aaron Andrews and One Man Army vs Joshua Taylor and Greg Gauge

Taylor gets one over Andrews

Thank you for the nomination for DOTM! I really wonder who goes through all the diarys and gives them one star ratings, though, haha.

I'll have the show up in a couple of hours, so place your predictions if you haven't already.

Benny & The Foxx and Bart Biggins vs The Hybrid Two and Maverick

We open the show with a six-man tag match that has Bart Biggins tagging with Benny & The Foxx and Maverick tagging with The Hybrid Two.

The match serves as a decent start to the show, but – based on their recent fortunes – there is little suspense as to who will win.

In the end, it is Huggins who pins Biggins to get the win for his team.

Winner:
The Hybrid Two and Maverick via pinfall in 14:59 with Huggins pinning Biggins for the win

STONE HAS FOUND HIS MOJO

We go backstage where a visibly elated Edd Stone – accompanied by his valet Vita – is standing by.

Stone:
Two weeks ago I finally managed to snap my losing streak, and I did it against one of the true veterans of this company. I couldn't be more happy, yet I'm far from content. I can guarantee you, the fans, that this is only the beginning of the road to redemption for the new old Edd Stone. Embracing my true self has given me a sense of inner strength I haven't felt in a long time. I've put in the work, so now is the time to party. Youngman, good luck tonight!

Edd Stone vs Ernest Youngman

Let's see how Stone fares against the hot new commodity that is "The Assassin of the Squared Circle" Ernest Youngman.

We have Vita in Stone's corner and Venus Angeletti in Youngman's corner, so it'll be interesting to see whether there will be any shenanigans.

The match starts slow, with Youngman trying to prevent Stone from using his fast-paced moves by taking him to the mat.

It's a battle of styles, as Stone's radical style of high flying clashes with Youngman's hard-hitting blend of strikes and mat wrestling.

Youngman looks strong throughout the match but has to accept defeat after Stone hits him with the Party's Over.

Winner:
Edd Stone via pinfall in 14:03

TANA ACCEPTS PEAK'S CHALLENGE

Tana is sitting in the back, flanked by his stablemates Mighty Mo and Mighty Allen.

Tana:
You're in for a rude awakening, Eddie Peak, if you believe that I've lost my might. It's true that I am no longer able to compete physically with my two friends here, the mighty Mo and Allen, but I'm still far more dangerous than my generally friendly demeanor let's on. You say that you want to face me this Sunday, to which I say YOU'RE ON! I see you then.

Chance Fortune vs Matthew DeVille

Guest Commentary: Darryl Devine

Next up is a match between Chance Fortune and Matthew DeVille. Darryl Devine is on commentary and wastes no time ripping into Fortune, saying that his former partner was holding him back and is a no good, washed up loser.

In the ring, Fortune tries his best to prove Devine wrong, and – after some great early offense from DeVille – is able to get a victory before their big match on Sunday.

Fortune walks up to the commentary booth and talks some smack at Devine, but security is able to separate the two before they come to blows.

Winner:
Chance Fortune via pinfall in 9:42

BACH PROMISES TO BEAT CHORD AGAIN

Next up, we have a message from Sammy Bach popping up on the big screen.

Bach:
Jay Chord! You should be more careful what you wish for. Beating a bunch of midcarders does not make you a future legend. You may believe that you are destined for greatness, but may I remind you that you've choked the second you had to go up against a true main eventer? I have nothing to prove to you, young man, but after your attack last week the temptation to shut you up again is too big. I will see you this Sunday, but this time I'm going to submit you.

Dave Newton vs Troy Tornado

The next match pits veteran Troy Tornado against Dave Newton, who's yet to make a big impression in TCW.

Newton is hungry for his first big win and comes out swinging, but Tornado is too experienced to get caught early.

Newton still finds some success early and looks good out there, but Tornado weathers the storm and takes over as his experience comes into play

After some more back and forth action, Tornado manages to hit the Star Maker for the win.

THE MIGHTY AND THE BEHEMOTHS BRAWL

The cameras pick up The Mighty and The Behemoths brawling in the back. It's a sight to behold as the four muscle mountains clock each other as hard as they can.

Danny Fonzarelli and Human Arsenal vs The Elite

It's time for the co-main event. "Dr. Love" Danny Fonzarelli and his unlikely partner Human Arsenal go up against The Elite.

The Elite have been going strong for the last couple of months, but they were beaten by The Mighty last week.

Fonzarelli and Arsenal have had varying success lately, and they'll look to gain some momentum tonight.

The Elite start off strong and show some great teamwork, but Fonzarelli and Arsenal manage to get in some great offense of their own.

The match remains fairly competitive throughout, but an Ammo Dump from Arsenal is enough to win it for the unlikely duo.

Winner:
Danny Fonzarelli and Human Arsenal via pinfall in 14:24 with Arsenal pinning Chandler for the win

RDJ ANNOUNCES SUNDAY'S CARD

We go backstage to Ricky Dale Johnson's office. It's time for the commissioner to announce the card for TCW's The War To Settle The Score.

RDJ:
This Sunday is going to be wild, folks. We'll see The Behemoths defend their titles against the team of Mighty Mo and Mighty Allen, and we'll also see Tana go one on one with Eddie Peak.

Darryl Devine and Chance Fortune will hopefully settle their differences in the ring, as will Greg Gauge and One Man Army.

After what I heard tonight I went ahead and booked Sammy Bach and Jay Chord in another match.

And, of course, we'll see The Ace defend his belt against Joshua Taylor. Last but not least, we may even throw in another match.

But now it's time for our main event!

Aaron Andrews and One Man Army vs Joshua Taylor and Greg Gauge

And what a main event it is. Two of this month's biggest feuds collide as Aaron Andrews and One Man Army face off against Joshua Taylor and Greg Gauge.

We start things off with One Man Army and Greg Gauge, who'll try to hurt each other ahead of their match on Sunday.

There is no feeling out process tonight, as both men come out swinging. OMA gets the upper hand early and – after a few hard hits – Gauge tags in Taylor.

Taylor puts the pressure on OMA and gets him in the corner, where he hits him with some disturbingly loud chops. OMA wants no part of it and tags in Andrews.

The match continues with a lot of hard-hitting action, and after a while Taylor and Gauge manage to wear down OMA.

Taylor catches OMA with a Butterfly Lock and Gauge manages to stop Andrews from making the save. OMA has to tap.

The bell is rung, but the action continues with Andrews going after Taylor and Gauge continuing to beat down OMA. This Sunday will be wild.

Winner:
Joshua Taylor and Greg Gauge via submission in 18:24 with Taylor submitting OMA for the win

For the prediction contest, I'd say doing the percentage of correct based off a certain number of shows would be the best way to do it.</p>

Remmy Honeyman vs Ade Nelson

We start the show with the first debut of the night, as Remmy Honeyman makes his MAW debut against Ade Nelson.

Ade Nelson hasn't had the greatest start to 2020 after having been beaten by Frankie Perez in the opening round of the Rip Chord Invitational.

The fairly bland Honeyman shows early why he has been touted as one of the most technically gifted talents in the Mid Atlantic circuit.

Nelson is not about to be embarrassed by another outsider, though, and he manages to overcome an early disadvantage to get the pinfall.

Winner:

CHEETAH BOY HYPES MATCH WITH BLAZE

Cheetah Boy, who gets another crack at the title tonight, is already in the building and ready to fight.

Cheetah:
Ever since I missed out on my opportunity to regain the Mid Atlantic title last month, I've been preparing for tonight. Tonight, I won't make the same mistakes again. Tonight, I won't miss my chance by arguing with the referee. Tonight, I'll make sure that I leave no escape route for Blaze. Tonight, The cheetah will extinguish the blaze.

Garry Walker and Zippy Deverell vs The Past Masters

It's time for two more debuts, as newcomers Garry Walker and Zippy Deverell go up against The Past Masters.

Both Walker and Deverell have impressed on local shows, as they are set to get their first taste of working in front of hundreds of people.

Sandman Winks and The Historian will try to prevent them from making too good of a first impression as they are set to fight for the first time this year.

The Historian and Winks gain the upper hand early, and their experience as a team is enough to remain one step ahead of their opponents.

In the end, it is Winks who manages to put Deverell to sleep with a Deep Sleep.

Winner:
The Past Master via submission in 10:01 with Sandman Winks submitting Zippy Deverell for the win

Jaylon Martins vs Copperhead vs Guillotine for the Mid Atlantic American title

Next up is a match between Jaylon Martins, Copperhead and Guillotine for the Mid Atlantic American title.

All three men are eager to impress, and the match has a very fast pace from the get go.

Copperhead looks very good out there, and his never-say-die attitude makes him the most dangerous out of the three combattants.

However, Martins and Guillotine are able to counter Copperhead's offense by their sheer physical superiority.

After they team up briefly to throw Copperhead out of the ring, it is Martins who manages to pin Guillotine after a perfectly timed Flying Forearm.

Martins makes defense number one of his title.

DeMarcus & Gray vs The Greatness for the Mid Atlantic Tag Team titles

We continue with the second title match of the night as Nate DeMarcus and Tyrone Gray are set to defend their belts against former champs Seth Whitehead and Harvey Robbinfield.

DeMarcus & Gray are coming off their hard-fought win against the Wolf Pack in January and are set to make defense number two of their titles.

The match is pretty open, with both teams getting in some great offense. Shortly after the 10-minute mark, though, the tide shifts when Whitehead gets knocked out cold on the outside floor.

In the ring, Gray manages to hit the Tumbleweed Splash for the finish.

Winner:
DeMarcus & Gray via pinfall in 16:11 with Gray pinning Robbinfield for the win

Miller Fforde vs Josh Jacobs

We continue with the match between Miller Fforde and Josh Jacobs. The two men have been on a collision course since Jacobs cost Fforde the title at Where It All Begins Again.

Jacobs – who is a former Mid Atlantic American title holder, but has yet to win the big one – will try to cement his name by beating the former champ.

The match is a lot of fun, with a lot of back and forth action. Fforde is the more dynamic competitor, but Jacobs is smartly bending the rules to his advantage.

A distraction of the referee gives Jacobs the opportunity for a low blow. The Canadian Backdrop follows, and Jacobs is set to get the upset.

Fforde is able to get his shoulder up in the final split second, though, and Jacobs is furious. He gets up to argue with the ref, but Fforde rolls him up for a quick 1-2-3.

The Heartbreak Express vs The Scheme

Next up is the co-main event, with Johnny Needham and Ralph Liotta going up against the team of The Architect and Jonah Pilgrim.

The feud between the two teams has only intensified after The Architect managed to eliminate Liotta from the Rip Chord Invitational. Today the Heartbreak Express get their chance at revenge.

In the beginning, The Scheme manage to control the pace of the match, but The Heartbreak Express get stronger as the match continues.

After getting hit by a couple of moonsaults, The Architect rolls out of the ring to recover. In the ring Liotta is able to hit a Swinging Neckbreaker on Pilgrim.

With The Architect just looking on, without any noticeable effort to make the safe, Liotta is able to pin Pilgrim for the win.

Winner:
The Heartbreak Express via pinfall in 18:11 with Liotta pinning Pilgrim for the win

Bradley Blaze vs Cheetah Boy for the Mid Atlantic Championship title

It's time for the main event of the evening. The champ, Bradley Blaze, will defend his title against Cheetah Boy for the second time in a row.

The last match was very competitive, with Blaze winning after Cheetah spent too much time arguing with the referee instead of trying to finish the match.

This time, Cheetah has promised to be completely focused on the goal at hand – becoming the new champ.

Cheetah manages to overwhelm Blaze early, and even manages to hit a Flying Cheetah Pounce, but Blaze manages to get his leg on the rope to break the count.

Blaze continues to struggle, but manages to recover enough to get in some offense of his own.

Getting stronger and stronger as the match goes on, Blaze is finally able to overcome the early struggles when he finishes Cheetah with a Dallas Drop.

Blaze makes defense number three of his title.

Winner:
Bradley Blaze via pinfall in 15:47

THE ARCHITECT LAYS OUT BLAZE

Blaze is celebrating in the ring when The Architect, who has recovered from his match earlier, attacks him from behind. It's becoming obvious as to why he wasn't all that interested in making the save for his team, as he seems to have his eyes firmly set on bigger plans. He continues to assault Blaze in the ring, with the latter too tired to fight back, only leaving when half the locker room comes out to break up the fight.

RANKINGS

With only the big PPV to go, it looks like this time it could be a bit messy with regards to the rankings. I've decided that the winner will be the person with the highest percentage of correct picks who has predicted at least four events. So most of you will still be able to win this month's contest.
