WWE January 1985 - June 2003

WWE World Heavyweight
Eddie Guerrero (1x), def. Kurt Angle at WrestleMania XIX

WWE Intercontinental
Jeff Hardy (1x), def. Toshiaki Kawada at WWE Monday Night RAW #500

WWE Television
Test (4x), def. Chuck Palumbo at Judgment Day 2003

WWE Tag Team
Ready to Fly (AJ Styles & Rey Mysterio) (2x), def. World's Greatest Tag Team (Shelton Benjamin & Charlie Haas) at Judgment Day 2003

WWE Women's
Allison Danger (1x), def. Jo Lemont (random gen) at Judgment Day 2003

Wanted a big feel-good moment for RAW 500 so I put the IC title on Jeff instead of Kawada/Cena later down the line. The episode was basically entirely centered around a recently unmasked Kane's rampage, so the big babyface title victory is a much needed bit of light.

Mr. Wrestle Mania - Mankind

*Basically this Mania season was screwed from the day before the Rumble.

Bret Hart went into politics for a year (He was going to feud with Rude).  I decided to give Rick Rude the Rumble victory to square off against Michaels.  Originally, the plan was for Michaels vs. Pillman (Hitman would win the Rumble but lose the shot at the belt at the February PPV).  Michaels got hit first week of February with an injury.  I decided to have a fatal four way for the vacant belt at WWF IYH: Fatal Four Way.  It was Taker vs. Sid vs. Rick Rude vs. Pillman.  I let the computer pick the winner and it was SID.

On the way to Mania, Goldust went down with injury (was going to face off against Mankind finally, hence, Mankind added to Mr. Wrestle Mania match).

On the way to Mania, Ken Shamrock went down with an injury (he was going to win the IC belt off Owen), and was replaced by Ahmed Johnson.

Overall, The Nation of Domination is dominating the WWWF.  Farooq, Mark Henry, D'Lo Brown, Booker T, Kama, Ahmed, and Rocky Maivia are on a tear.

Christian went to jail for robbery for six months so Edge is basically a super jobber for the moment.  Dudleys and Hardys are dominating the US Tag Title scene.

-------------------------------

Overall

Cody Rhodes won Wrestle War for the second straight year to take on his arch nemesis, the man who retired Race, Flair, Steamboat, Michaels, and most importantly Dusty Rhodes; Jean Paul Levesque the 10x WC World Heavyweight champion.   Last year Rhodes lost to Jean-Paul.  Rhodes has spent the past year defeating his previous monsters such as Seth Rollins, Rusev, Dustin Rhodes, and other members of Evolution.  Can Rhodes win at Starrcade?

For the WWF, the game is fun and has gotten more interesting with a Wyatt Family vs. Ministry story I have going on,  Otherwise, slowly building the next generation and letting talent walk once their deals are up (Kenny Omega, Chris Benoit)

Notes:

-WWF Heavyweight Champion Barry Windham reached 365 days of reign. Hovewer WWF popularity and tv ratings are falling down and now is the #4 company in USA.  Time for a title change?

- Greg Gagne left AWA to become the new booker of Pacific Northwest Wrestling

- Jake Roberts quit both EWW and JCP to sign an exclusive deal for AWA.  Although not a big deal for EWW, in JCP he was a major player with an ongoing long feud with NWA World Heavyweight Champion Bob Backlund.

- In JCP, The Annual Crockett Cup was held. A Road Warriors final against Midnight Express was originally planned but the Road Warriors refused to lose to them so there was a running change with the Midnight Express to take on the team of Jimmy Snuka and the Ultimate Warrior. Midnight Express won

Jan 1970 - July (Wk.4) 1975

WWWF World Heavyweight - 'Superstar' Billy Graham

WWWF Intercontinental - The Spoiler (x2)

WWWF Light Heavyweight - Victor Rivera (x3)

WWWF World Tag Team - Ernie Ladd & Ivan Koloff (x2)

Jan 1970 - August (Wk.4) 1976

WWWF World Heavyweight - Andre the Giant

WWWF Intercontinental - Dusty Rhodes

WWWF Light Heavyweight - Jack Brisco

WWWF North American Heavyweight - Jerry Brisco

WWWF World Tag Team - Giant Baba (x3) & Billy Robinson

The next generation of WWWF is kicking off with Andre the Giant taking the World Championship at Shea Stadium in the main event of Super Showdown! Billy Graham paid for all his misdeeds as Andre spared no quarter in taking the belt. Graham's been lightly injured since May and I've had to book him very carefully. Somehow Graham pulled off a 94 with Dusty Rhodes where the World and IC champions clashed for the first time in WWWF history to a double DQ finish at the "once in a lifetime" show, The Bicentennial Bash. Wahoo McDaniel is slated as the #1 contender, but The Spoiler and Harley Race are climbing the ranks.

Dusty Rhodes stepped into the limelight since turning face and hasn't looked back. He started by teaming with Downtown Charlie Brown (aka a poorly masked Jimmy Valiant) and forming the EZ Riders. Then Dusty and friends started feuding with Gary Hart's Syndicate which started with the first War Games format match and finished with The Spoiler losing his IC belt via a figure-four leglock. By the time it was all said and done, Dusty was rubbing elbows with Bruno and squaring off against Superstar Graham. Currently he's feuding with Sheik Adnan Al-Kaissey and his Black Gold stable (The Iron Sheik, Arman Hussain, and Wahoo McDaniel).

The Brisco Brothers have made their way into the WWWF and both are shaking up the ranks. Jack defeated Arman Hussain for his belt, and Jerry defeated Curtis Smith for his. Both have been stunning technicians and there seems to be a bit of a sibling rivalry going on, but they somehow channel that energy into their tag team that is also pursuing the WWWF North American Tag Team belts. Best of luck to them, because it looks like the Funk Brothers are ready to halt all that momentum. Also doesn't help that Bobby Heenan has been caught trying to hand his business card to Jerry...

Billy Robinson was selected as Andre the Giant's replacement partner in his tag team with Giant Baba. The Giants were massive fan favorites that defeated Wahoo & Emile Dupree for the tag titles in Dec 1975. Their run proved insanely successful, but eventually Andre would be announced as #1 contender to Superstar and President Buddy Rogers offered a solution that allowed Baba to select a new partner and immediately defend against #1 contenders Nikolai Volkoff & Alexis Smirnoff.

Not to be forgotten, but Bruno's out there. Tagging with a young Larry Zbyszko and competing in the NA Tag Team Championship Tournament. He came back as a ripped heavyweight and took Billy Graham to his limit one more time, but proved unsuccessful with Pat Patterson & Guy Mitchell foiling Sammartino's plans from ringside. If the Brisco's don't make it to NA Tag Team gold, there's a good chance Bruno & Larry will.

My favorite is:

The long-term storytelling is absolutely what keeps me playing. Building new stars falls under that umbrella for me. It's rewarding to have  long term projects finally pay off. Looking over my notes and seeing the early beats of stories like, for example, Owen's rise throughout the 90's and seeing them come to actual fruiton ingame is very fulfilling.

My actual favorite part is the alternate history I've created in general. I've always been a fan of title lineages for example. There's ups and downs, and sure, not every push worked out, nor did every plan come together as well as I'd hoped, but I live with it and run with it. That's the beauty of the game for me. It's also really interesting to see the game world develop alongside me, even if the AI doesn't always play along.

Okay...stuck on a couple of these side quests, but it's keeping things entertaining.

The Rise of WWE

Started in May of 2001, now in June 2004.

Lucha Libre Elite (I bought out IWRG earlier and turned it into LLE. I recently bought CMLL, as it had crashed hard in terms of money and prestige after a scandal, and I took their bigger names and their titles and have melded them into LLE; I'll be unifying these titles at our next major event)

LLE Heavyweight Champion - Mephisto

CMLL Heavyweight Champion - El Zorro

LLE Latin American Middleweight Champion - Elektro

LLE Cruiserweight Champion - NOSAWA

LLE Welterweight Champion - Mistico

CMLL Welterweight Champion - Super Calo

LLE Tag Team Champions - Los Guerreros del Miedo (Nicho El Millonario and Satanico)

CMLL Tag Team Champions - Los Villanos (Villano IV and Villano V)

LLE Trios Champions - Virus and Los Fantasmas (El Hijo del Fantasma and Fantasma Jr.)

CMLL Trios Champions - Los Parkas (L.A. Park, La Parka Jr., and Super Parka)

LLE Latin American Women's Champion - Estrellita

Irish Whip Wrestling (started it as an Ireland-based child promotion; I've bought out FWA and HWP/NWA UK Hammerlock; took their titles and fiddled with them and building to unify into one set of Commonwealth Championships)

IWW Irish Heavyweight Champion - Sheamus

Undisputed IWW British Heavyweight Champion - Andre Baker

IWW British Isles Champion - Anton Cesaro

IWW Commonwealth Zero-Gravity Champion - Kid Cool

IWW Irish Tag Team Champions - The Devil's Playthings (Ashe and Curve)

IWW British Tag Team Champions - Golden Fate (Flash Barker and Jack Xavier)

IWW Commonwealth Women's Champion - Katarina

In a week, it's back to the main roster with Nitro's The Great American Bash 2004.
