*After having a blast booking the nWo in the WWF the last few years, I have to admit, building Roman Reigns and the Bloodline (also consisting of Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga, Jonathon and Jey Fatu) in WCW has been equally fun.   In my game world, the members in real life of the bloodline are all cut from the same cloth of Shawn Michaels 97-99 (maybe a bigger ego) with Roman having the biggest one.  Due to this, Bischoff (user player, and booker since 85) fired the Bloodline after the WCW flagship show Starrcade (2017's show of the year) which saw Roman Reigns lose the World Championship to Walter.  Waiting to see where they end up

Still playing my other save, but progress is glacial. In the meantime I've slowly been preparing a fresh save over the last couple of months. Trying my hand at running two companies for the first time (obviously inspired by Zero's long running save), and after having to find my groove in the beginning, things are finally rolling.

The idea is that Turner bought JCP early to combat WWF going national, and mirrored the approach. The overall story for these early years is Hulkamania vs. Macho Madness, with Savage being WCW's figurehead, and Hogan WWF's, naturally. I also have a ton of titles because I want to eventually have massive title histories starting from the very beginning. So without further ado..

January 1985 - September 1986

WWF
WWF Heavyweight - Hulk Hogan (1x), def. Iron Sheik in Jan 84
WWF National Heavyweight (2nd world title, will eventually become Universal) - Roddy Piper (1x), inaugural champ, won in Royal Rumble 86
WWF Intercontinental - Ricky Steamboat (1x), def. Steve Williams in March 86
WWF United States - Greg Valentine (1x), def. Sgt. Slaughter in August 86
WWF Television - Harley Race (2x), def. Jim Duggan in July 86
WWF World Tag - Hart Foundation (Bret/Neidhart) (1x), def. Freebirds (Hayes/Gordy) in June 86
WWF Tag - US Express (Windham/Rotunda) (1x), def. Bob Orton & Don Muraco in August 86
WWF Women's - Americana (1x), def. Leilani Kai in July 86

Building to Piper vs. Orndorff and Hogan vs. Andre at WM3, couldn't run it in my last save because Andre went on hiatus. On the cusp of reaching Big size on the back of their new USA Network tv deal.

WCW
WCW World Heavyweight - Randy Savage (1x), def. Ric Flair in July 86
WCW US Heavyweight - Larry Zbyszko (1x), def. Ricky Steamboat in January 86
WCW World Television - Tully Blanchard (1x), def. Tommy Rich in May 86
WCW Light Heavyweight - Dynamite Kid (3x), def. Mike Von Erich in May 86
WCW World Tag Team - Minnesota Wrecking Crew (Arn/Ole) (1x), def. Starship Coyote & Starship Eagle in February 86
WCW US Tag Team - Von Erichs (Kevin/Mike) (1x), def. Koloffs (Ivan/Nikita) in July 86
WCW Women's World - Devil Masami (1x), def. Magnificent Mimi in February 86

WCW World Title was initially awarded to Flair in place of the NWA World Title, and went Flair -> Dusty -> Flair, and now to Savage, who's likely to hold it for a while. Savage is currently feuding with Flair's Horsemen and is set to defend his title in a cage at Starrcade. WCW is also growing nicely thanks to their spot on TBS, but started out smaller than WWF in most regions, so reaching Big is gonna take a little while longer.

January 1985 - March 1987

WWF
WWF Heavyweight - Hulk Hogan (1x)
WWF National Heavyweight - Roddy Piper (1x)
WWF Intercontinental - Ricky Steamboat (1x)
WWF United States - Greg Valentine (1x)
WWF Television - Jim Duggan (3x)
WWF World Tag - Hart Foundation (1x)
WWF Tag - US Express (1x)
WWF Women's - Americana (1x)
WWF Ladies World - Monster Ripper (1x)
Royal Rumble - Paul Orndorff (1x)
Women's Royal Rumble - Monster Ripper (1x)

Just reached Big. WrestleMania 3 is on the horizon and will go ahead as planned with Hogan vs. Andre and Piper vs. Orndorff as the marquee matches.
Women's division is built up well, pushing Americana (from GLOW) again because she didn't let me down the last save lol, and I'm trying not to rely on AJW joshi too much, at least for WWF.

WCW
WCW World Heavyweight - Randy Savage (1x)
WCW US Heavyweight - Kerry Von Erich (1x)
WCW World Television - Bob Backlund (1x)
WCW Light Heavyweight - Owen Hart (2x)
WCW World Tag - Midnight Express (1x)
WCW US Tag - Stockmen (Rheingans/Fernandez) (1x)
WCW World Six-Man Tag - Dusty Rhodes & Road Warriors (2x)
WCW Women's World - Devil Masami (1x)

WCW is quite fun to book with the Horsemen still running the show and making Savage's life hard, though he did beat Flair in a cage at Starrcade. Savage has backup in the form of the Von Erichs and I'm building to the first War Games.
Forgot Six-Man Tag Title in the last update, but it was held by Dusty & Road Warriors then too, in their first reign and they were the inaugural champions. Stan Hansen & the Funks beat them, but they won it back at Starrcade.

In other news, NJPW is just having the worst luck. They poached Jumbo from AJPW and he won the IWGP Heavyweight title, held it for a week, then got injured for 8 months and they had to vacate it. Dos Caras was the next champion but he died in a freak accident, they had to vacate again. Fujinami got the belt and just got hit with a drug dealing scandal, released and belt vacated again. Now Inoki put the strap on himself.

January 1985 - September 1987

WWF
WWF World - Ted DiBiase (1x)
WWF National Heavyweight - Paul Orndorff (1x)
WWF Intercontinental - Mr. Perfect (1x)
WWF United States - The Ultimate Warrior (1x)
WWF Television - Steve Williams (1x)
WWF World Tag - Memphis Rock'n'Royalty (Lawler/Honky Tonk Man) (1x)
WWF Tag - Freebirds (Hayes/Gordy) (1x)
WWF Women's - Kat LeRoux (1x)
WWF Ladies World - Monster Ripper (1x)

Finally able to give DiBiase a run because I didn't get to use him much in my last save since he turned whistleblower and I had to fire him. Hogan is out of the world title picture for now, but plan for the next two years is a Mega Powers type storyline, with Magnum T.A. (as Terry Allen) instead of Savage.

WCW
WCW World Heavyweight - Bruiser Brody (1x)
WCW US Heavyweight - Kerry Von Erich (1x)
WCW World Television - Bob Backlund (1x)
WCW Light Heavyweight - Mitsuharu Misawa (1x)
WCW World Tag - Midnight Express (Eaton/Lane) (1x)
WCW US Tag - Dan Severn & Nick Bockwinkel (1x)
WCW World Six-Man Tag - Riki Choshu, Terry Funk & Dory Funk Jr. (1x)
WCW Women's World - Devil Masami (1x)

Starrcade is set to be Brody vs. Savage II. It was Kerry who inadvertently cost Savage the title when he tried to even the odds, and I'm very slowly building towards Savage vs. Kerry for '88. Got Kerry to stop using hard drugs so he has great potential and deserves a title run. Elsewhere the Horsemen are still running the show, but they're goldless now (and also lost War Games). I might send Flair to WWF for a bit soon since they have more space in the main event world title scene.

Love reading about your save.  Who is your major competition?  How is the AWA, NJPW, and AJPW doing?

New Japan is the biggest competition as far as trying to sign away talent goes. They're the only company other than WWF at Big and are also the second richest behind WWF. The rest isn't quite there yet and mostly operates at medium. I'm watching everyone's finances more closely this time so companies like AJPW and CMLL don't go out of business. Eventually of course there's going to be a massive war between WWF and WCW.

The AWA seems stagnated and isn't growing, but they're financially stable. Baron van Raschke is their World Champion. There's slim pickings for the other American companies since most of the (future) top stars are with WWF or WCW, but it's fine since I'm my own competition this time. NJPW is doing well after an unfortunate last couple of months, and AJPW is doing fine with Baba as champion, but as always seems to happen, NJPW is pillaging them a bit and stealing their top stars.
