In a small diner on the West Coast of Australia, November 2019, is where this story begins. Septimus Stubbs has been retired for awhile now, but the love of wrestling was still there. After a few small test runs of doing a few shows in the Perth area he decided to expand things further.

Stubbs: "I bet you two wonder why we are gathered here today."

Taniko Jo: "I was figuring you wanted me to manage someone."

Stubbs: ".....right. Okay so you DO know why we are gathered. Screw these small time shows every few months. I am ready to do small time shows EVERY month now. Brad, you been helping me from the start. I am counting on you to count."

Regan: "No sweat. I'm the best red on this side of the continent."*

Stubbs: "Good, Taniko I want you to scout talent. I want you to do your thing. Find some big lads."

Taniko Jo: "I do like them big."

Stubbs and Regan: "......right."

Stubbs: "Anyways, I am going to start making some calls and see what I can grab. I am going to look at finding a place to rent out and all that stuff too. Looking at two months from now so early January next year."

And with that things were under way. The Bad Boys of Australia was born.**

Stubbs: "Won't lie. Kid kind of reminds me of me when younger. Perhaps our best known signing so far as far as making a name on the West Coast. Straight ahead brawler that loves to cheat. Always a spot for someone like that on a roster. Bringing in a lot of new kids in too so even with just eight years under his belt he is going to be one of the veterans."

Stubbs: "I booked this kid for his first show and was amazed at how polished he already is. I have seen guys that have been in the business for over ten years that are worse. I AM LOOKING AT YOU CRAZY TRAIN. Anyways, he is going to be one the young talents that will get a shot to continue to improve. I think the kid has a bright future ahead of him.

Hack the Hunter</div>

Stubbs: "Surprisingly not one of Taniko's boys. Not for now at least. Hack is a big beefy babyface at least to start. Another guy that hasn't been in the business long, but he needs more work than Brown Snake. He just has a great look at if he puts effort into improving I think he will find his way to the likes of RAW or APW sooner or later. For the love of god I hope the kid doesn't go ruin himself in DIW."

Stubbs: "This kid is money. Much like a lot of the other younger guys I am bringing in he just needs to work hard and he will make it big. He has a bit more experience than some of the others, but at only four years into his career he has plenty of room to grow and improve. I don't know how long I will be able to keep him around before someone else comes calling, but I am going to enjoy the time I have him around."

Stubbs: "No nice way to say it. In the ring the guy is pretty rotten and while he has a great body he blows up way too easily. He is a pet project admittedly and I want to see if I can make something with the kid. He's got the look for sure, but I guess it is up to me to see if he can even become mediocre in the ring. If he does he will find work because people always love a good meathead."

Stubbs: "At fourteen years in the business Lee certainly has the experience. I hope he will help these kids out. He is a reliable hand in the ring even if not the most exciting when it comes to promos and the like. The man also loves his suplexes. He tried to suplex me as a way to say hi. I thankfully stopped him."

Stubbs: "Another one of the young lads. Nathan is a solid worker already at his age, but he is kind of like a younger version of Lee in that personality wise he is pretty lacking. He may never be a top guy, but with a few more years experience he is going to be a steady hand that helps make the pretty boys that can't work look good and elevate them."

Stubbs: "This guy is a legit badass and honestly I won't be surprised if he moves on from us quickly. If he does stick around I won't be surprised if he becomes one of our top guys rather quickly. He just has the look and personality that can draw fans to him. I think highly of Rob and while I would hate to lose him he deserves to be moving on to bigger things sooner rather than later."

Stubbs: "Trey is right up there with Lee when it comes to experience. Also like Lee he isn't exactly Mister Personality. If he perhaps put more effort into things he would have done more, but he loves his job as a fireman and mostly sticks with it. Still he is a good veteran to have around to help teach the younger guys."

Hi everyone. Apparently I am now at war. This could get dangerous, but welcome to my first stab at doing some stuff in 2020. My original plan was GSW as I teased, but things weren't going to my liking enough to shift it into diary form. it might be something I have a stab at later. Probably once MHero is done destroying BBoA and everything it stands for.

Also don't worry. Taniko Jo is still actively seeking beefcake to employ. I am sure she will bring a few surprises with her come the first show. Doh ho ho.

All things were going to plan and rather smoothly at that. Septimus Stubbs had already managed to secure a place to hold the first show as well as get a title made. Sure it isn't a pretty title, but it isn't like he is wanting to invest too much into the company just yet. If it looks like he can start attracting more fans then he can look at investing in nicer titles and other things. For now he is just probably going to get the small group of followers he has managed to get from running the first few shows in the area the past few years. If he can get near one hundred sometime in the next year he considers it a big enough win for him.

He is working on story ideas at the bar he often frequents when he is disturbed by someone walking up and slapping a folder down on the table he was sitting at.

Taniko Jo: "This is what I found."

Stubbs: "Jesus, woman. Can you at least give me a warning before slapping things around like that?"

The folder is picked up and Septimus starts to look through it. Looks like Taniko really did do her homework as pretty much any man that is overly tall, overly heavy or both has a photo and some info. It is kind of impressive really. She even...oh...oh no.

Septimus Stubbs: "Oh hell no. One second."

The info on Bob Shrunkle is quickly pulled and crumpled up. He isn't letting a fast one be pulled on him this time it would seem. Curses. Even with that elimination there were several options. Some good. Some bad. Some Sulphur.

Septimus Stubbs: "What one do you want?"

Taniko Jo: "One?"

Septimus Stubbs: "What you want more?"

Taniko Jo: "Of course! More than one is more fun."

Septimus Stubbs: "......okay. Look. don't go overboard and just bring a few with you to the show. I'll see what I can do."

Taniko Jo just beams happily and gathers the folder back up and hurrying away to go collect her beef harem. Septimus just shakes his head as he reaches for his whiskey and takes a long drink.

Septimus Stubbs: "Bob Shrunkle.....Jesus that was a close one."

All quarterfinals matches will be held this January with the winners moving on to the semi-finals which will take place next month. In addition to kick off the show two young talents in Brown Snake and Nathan Rigger will be facing off. Opening Match

Brown Snake vs Nathan Rigger

I could see this one going either way but since I can´t figure it out stat wise, I just pick the one with better personality since my personal preference is going with the ones who don´t cause backstage problems.

BBoA Commenwealth Championship Quarterfinals

???* vs Trey Tallman

I figure that at least one of Taniko´s picks would make it past first round so I simply compared Tallman and Edwards and looks to me that Edwards is the better talent so hence the mystery man is picked to advance here.

Lee Bawes vs Adrian McGhee

Looking at your roster and the first round matches, I thinking McGhee would likely be your lead face and since Taniko´s guys are sure to be heels, I believe McGhee is the safer pick here (and yes, Bawes could be the face instead but I feel McGhee is more likely to be face out from these two)

Rob Edwards vs ???*

Ok, so didn´t I just say that I expect one of Tanikos men to advance and picked mystery guy over Tallman for that reason? Yes, and I still think I´m right there but since we know from the roster review that Hack is face I figure we want heel to advance here and there is no chance that Taniko´s guy wouldn´t be heel so... yeah, chance of plans, sorry Rob.

Jonathan Wesker vs Hack the Hunter

Hack is actually the more talented guy here (with large enough margin that even I figure that one out) and knowing your habit of pushing big guys I´m fairly sure of this pick.

Bad Boys of Australia: Breaking Out!

Friday, Week 1, January 2020

The first match was supposed to get under way, but as Brown Snake was coming out towards the ring he is attacked by a rather bulky man in black and white facepaint. He has an almost emotionless face as he destroys Brown Snake and leaves him to be checked on. It is soon announced Brown Snake cannot compete tonight and instead Nathan Rigger will face a different opponent.

Rating: 21

Nathan Rigger vs Jesse Tasman

There aren't many fans, but Jesse seems to instantly connect with them all. He just has a very natural charisma and just comes off as likeable. Nathan doesn't seem to like him though and attacks Jesse when he is trying to get into the ring. Both men show potential and pretty good skills given they are both still young. Nathan does a good bit of offense before Jesse starts to make his big babyface comeback and puts away Nathan with a Fireman's Carry Slam.

Winner: Jesse Tasman

Trey Tallman vs Janus with Taniko Jo

Taniko unveils the first of her new clients and to the credit of Trey Tallman, he doesn't back down and only seems mildly intimidated. Janus by no means seems to be that good of a worker and is kind of plodding, but Trey is good enough to make the match watchable and does well at selling the big man's offense. Janus picks up the win with a giant boot to the face.

Winner: Janus

Adrian McGhee vs Lee Bawes

Scrappy brawler that likes to cheat facing a man who wants to suplex everything. EVERYTHING. The two veteran workers are both on top of their game and deliver a great match that sees Adrian attempt to cheat his way into the next round only to underestimate Lee and get foiled at each turn. The final attempt at trying to get the win sees Adrian try to put what looks like a loaded glove on his hand only for Lee to catch him and deliver a German suplex. That is followed up by a Brainbuster which sees Lee pick up the win.

Winner: Lee Bawes

Rating: 39

Adrian McGhee is visibly annoyed and taking his sweet time when it comes to leaving. That leads to him bumping into Rob Edwards who is on the way to the ring for his match. McGhee doesn't look too happy and just gets a death glare from Rob. The two square up for a few moments before Adrian continues his way to the back.

Rob Edwards vs Maniac Monster with Taniko Jo

As if Janus wasn't scary enough. Taniko's other client comes off as outright psychotic and this match quickly because a wild, hard hitting affair between the two men. Both men use stiff strikes and power moves to wear one another down and Rob gets a lot of credit for somehow standing toe to toe with the big monster. Rob actually looks like he might come out on top, but when the referee is distracted by Taniko Jo, Adrian McGhee slips into the ring and hits Rob with his loaded glove and quickly slips out of the ring. Maniac Monster drags Rob to his feet and nails his Death Thumb finisher for extra measure.

Winner: Maniac Monster

Jonathan Wesker vs Hack the Hunter

There is a severe drop in match quality for the main event. The two men may look like a million bucks, but their ring work needs a lot of improvement. Wesker in general has his cocky muscleman gimmick down, but he is clumsy in the ring. Hack is better, but is more a man that would fare better against a more seasoned opponent. During the match Taniko Jo comes out looking enamored with Hack and actually cheers him on a bit. It distracts hack to where he almost loses, but recovers long enough to finally take Wesker down with his Epic Side Suplex.

Winner: Hack the Hunter

Rating: 20

Hack barely gets time to celebrate before Taniko Jo comes into the ring with a big smile on her face.

Taniko Jo: "You are such a big, strong boy. I like what I see and I want you to join me. Become one of my toys and I will get you the gold. I will even tell my other servants to stand down."

Hack doesn't seem pleased and he doesn't even consider the offer. He just turns his back to Taniko and leaves the ring. Taniko looks angered and embarrassed at being spurned like that.

Taniko Jo: "You'll regret that! JUST YOU WAIT!"

Rating: 25

Final Rating: 24

Stubbs' Thoughts: I knew the main event was going to stink things up, but I was fine with it. This is a small time event and I am willing to experiment here and there. I just wanted the tournament to unfold a certain way and in the end this just ended up making the most sense to wrap things up. At least the audience got two solid matches in there that showcased we do have some talent even if many are unknown in the area.

That lack of star power kind of hurt us too I gather. Adrian is the biggest name we have and he lost. Once again I got plans and I think we can build a good brand here with the crew I have. I wasn't sure what Taniko was bringing with her, but both worked out. Helps that they were both put against some of our better workers and thus Taniko's Toychest was born. More on those two men as well.

All in all this came off better than some of the shows I have run. Lee and Adrian really had their working shoes on and props to Monster Maniac being a good worker himself. I was expecting something similar to Janus' performance, but he is a much more polished product than I expected with him and Rob putting on a really good match.

The Anarchist

Stubbs: I often forget this guy used to run around in ZEN. Not really one of the usual guys you would see there, but he worked for them at the start before leaving a few years into their existence. He does have thirteen years of experience under his belt and is only in his early thirties at this point too so we get a veteran who has a few years left in the tank. If he manages to find a spot with us in the long term remains to be seen.

Janus

Stubbs: The first of two men Taniko brought into the promotion. Janus is young and very green. I kind of like his old throwback style though admittedly. Nothing special and I am unsure his ceiling, but being with Taniko and working with guys like Trey are going to help him out at least. Much like Wesker he has a good look, but needs a lot of work.

Maniac Monster

Stubbs: It is nice to be surprised by things sometimes. Maniac Monster was brought in by Taniko and I wasn't sure what I was getting. The kid is young, but isn't a bad worker at all. Sure I can see where he needs to improve in some aspects, but it is rare I see a big bulky lad like him and get a good worker. I was thinking I was getting Son of Sulphur, but I was pleasantly surprised instead.

In the usual bar Septimus Stubbs spends way too much time at he sits at a table with Bradley Regan discussing things about the previous show and what is to come. The first show did well in the eyes of both and Bradley had mostly become the second in command to Stubbs backstage. To the point one lad was a naughty boy and it was Bradley who had to play judge.

Stubbs: "So you think he will behave now? I was going to find a spot for the kid, but I didn't really want to reward bad behavior."

Regan: "I wouldn't worry about it. He apologized and helped run some errands for me before the show started. I also told him he had to buy me and the boys some drinks after the show and he did without complaints."

Stubbs: "That's good. Last thing I really want is troublemakers. Or at least one make trouble which will make others think they can do it."

Regan: "Don't worry about it. If I feel like I have to grab you I will. What are your thoughts on the next show."

There is a slight shrug. Septimus was fine with how things were going. It is a small group of people which at least means it is sort of easy to book around. He is keeping things simple as a whole while he just lets the company attract more people.

Stubbs: "Really? Just keep kind of pushing with what I got rolling. The tension between Rob and Adrian, the strange man that attacked Brown Snake. Who is he? What is he in BBoA for?"

Regan: "A paycheck."

Stubbs: "Very funny. True, but funny. Obviously got Taniko and her boys causing trouble too."

As if she was waiting to hear her name, Taniko Jo enters the bar with a big smile on her face and she quickly heads over to the table where Bradley and Septimus are sitting.

Taniko Jo: "Hey guys! Look what I found!"

A rather large figure made his way inside and loomed over the table. The two men could only just stare for a few moment at what they are seeing.

Regan: "That's a big boy."*

Septimus Stubbs: "Oh christ...."

Eight men have now been knocked down to four after the first round of the BBOA Commonwealth Championship tournament has concluded. Taniko Jo promised some surprises and produced two monsters in Janus and Maniac Monster who both won their matches. Janus made rather short work of Trey Tallman, but it did take some work, and help from Adrian McGhee, for Maniac Monster to advance. Meeting Janus in the first semi final will be Lee Bawes who had a very tough match against Adrian McGhee and manages to move on. It is certainly an uphill battle for the veteran at this point. The other semi final will feature Maniac Monster taking on Hack the Hunter. Hack was approached by Taniko Jo in the closing moments of the show and offered a spot on her side. The big man declined and could be in trouble. Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned. Even more so when that woman controls a dangerous man like Maniac Monster.

Elsewhere there will be two other matches that evening. In the first ever tag match in the company we will see Brown Snake and Jesse Tasman face off against Jonathan Wesker and Nathan Rigger. Snake was supposed to take on Rigger last week before assaulted by a mysterious man that quietly left after pummeling Snake. Will he be lurking about again? Can Rigger get revenge on Tasman who defeated him in one on one competition at the last show? Jonathan Wesker certainly could be looking for a win too after being bounced from the tournament.

Also in singles action will be Adrian McGhee who will be taking on an unnamed opponent. It has been pretty mum on who he is facing, but many are disappointed it doesn't seem to be Rob Edwards whom McGhee helped eliminate from the tournament. It looks like we will have to wait and see who it is come the first Friday of February, 2020 at Bad Boys of Australia: Collateral Damage.

Currently thinking that Snake and Tasman have more upside so I go with them here.

Was going to go with MGhee at first but then I started thinking how you plan to advance the story between him and Rob and well... Rob interfering here and returning the favor last month feels like the logical thing to go with so lets give win to the mystery man.

Ok, so I was wrong and Bawes was the face, might have figured that out if I paid more attention on roster review before making my predictions but well... I didn´t. Anyway, Bawes had a lot better match on first show so I assume he advances here.

Monster had better match and Taniko likely ain´t going to play fair here after what happened last month. Plus I need a heel on the finals after picking Bawes on other semi finals match.

Really, you could write a diary exclusively consisting of backstory posts and I'd read it. You have a rare talent to be truly funny with only few words, right on point. It obviously helps to know your previous diaries.

Outside interference could easily push this the other way, but if you want to establish a feud including Brown Snake, you could use some momentum on the guy.
