what makes a good Road Agent

Recommended Posts

Is he listed as a road agent?

The actual equation is something like the average of psychology and experience with a bump from having high respect.

By those stats Junji should have been a good road agent however I’ve found that if you put a worker into the road agent role without actually making them a road agent first they tend to do a terrible job even if they have the stats for it.

What I mean is, when you look at them in the roster screen do they haven’t he little “road agent” light activated?

Oh. Well first of all yes, if your workers in the ring are putting on 98/99 matches then your road agent can’t keep up with them.

Second of all there are other factors that come into play. What road agent notes are you using because a lot of them deflate your ratings because they provide other things. One common new player mistake is overusing road agent notes.

By default you should just specify who wins and how the match is called (scripted vs. in the ring) and let the “match focus” do the rest. Some people throw every single road agent note into a match and the result is a terrible match despite very good workers.

Finally what is the product? Are they being rated primarily on popularity or performance? If your product is rated 60/40 which most products are then if they have 100 match rating and 0 popularity it will result in a match rating of 60 given no other factors.

Check out the dirt sheet to see why the match was penalized. It can really help identify problems with your booking.

Open Match and Decisive Finish are also 2 I use almost every time.

Winner, Open Match, Call in Ring/Script (whichever is better given the talent involved) and decisive finish. Match aim is normally regular aside from what I need for product aims.

Definitely check the dirt sheet. It should give you all the dings your match got. If you give us those, we can better help you with how to get better ratings. I can't see a road agent tanking a match rating that heavily if both performers got that high of a grade. I'm pulling 70+ matches with Youngman and a random star in a 65/35 perf > pop promotion using only those notes above. Youngman gets somewhere between 80 and 85 for his performance while the opponent gets anywhere from 65 to 75. And I have 1 road agent that is overworked. He's a little better than your guy, but if he's also overworked, that could lead to a penalty.

You might just be hitting your promotion caps. Popularity, announcing, RA etc all bringing it down. Sounds like the mod has inflated stats and the workers are far exceeding what the promotion can handle. It normally takes a lot of support to get matches that high.

No mods, running a medium company for the RtG challenge. I’m having RAs with roughly 75-88phyc. My announcer is a bit week but promising being able to hit 80s in announcing. I’m running a wrestling as a sport company in South West with stars like aren’t Skye, American Flash, Storm, etc...

Oh I thought you were the guy getting 99s from the workers. What is your company pop? The game puts limits so you can’t get GOAT matches out of the indies. It was a way to stop TCW from dominating SWF every single time.

My companies pop is 61 in south west home territory. 58 mid south, 46 mid west, 52 north west, 46 south east, 41 tri state

I mainly just use auto booker which seems like its a bit crappy this year which I'm a bit annoyed with. And I still don't really understand the used to much or far too much meaning in the game. 2016 it was mainly used if the wrestler was booked in multiple matches, I just have them in as single match and its popping up constantly with different workers is stupid.

Unimportant can't go past 12 minutes (including entrance time), I think. Recognisable is around 20 IIRC. I agree completely on autobooker but I think that that's getting sorted next patch?

It's just based on minutes and push, at least in the old games. In the old games, you could just change the push to avoid the note. Not sure about 2020.

Not having that certain match dings you too. The grade looks about right given all the penalties.

All you need to do is click on the “Booking Analysis” button (it’ll be highlighted in yellow if there’s issues) before you run your shows and it will tell you about ALL of those issues that have penalised your final rating.

If you’d just reduced the segment lengths of all the guys that are overused and made one of your matches a technical masterclass then your show would’ve been fine.

Seems strange to me that you’re complaining you don’t understand your ratings when you’re actively ignoring warnings about penalties.

(And don’t worry, I’m also frustrated at the Auto Booker. It’s getting improved for patch 1.08, and I have BIG expectations)
