Seth Rollins & Buddy Murphy Vs. Drew McIntyre & Aelister Black

Just as RAW did earlier in the week, following the opening pyrotechnics we found ourselves going right into in ring competition. This match was a preview of sorts for an upcoming A-Block match at Extreme Rules pitting Seth Rollins against Drew McIntyre. Tonight, Seth was accompanied by his disciple of sorts, Buddy Murphy. To counter? Drew sought the assistance of the mysterious Aelister Black.

For the most part this match featured Murphy and Black facing off, leaving the interactions between Seth, and Drew minimal. Subtle teasing to encourage the fans to order the PPV to see the official contest between the two. After several minutes of action, Rollins decided he wasn't merely content to stand on the apron waiting for his turn in the ring. He went around to pull Drew off the apron and the two began shouting back and forth.

McIntyre eventually shoved Seth down, which got the attention of Murphy who stupidly stuck his head out of the ring to yell to ask if Seth needed help. Seth admonished him for not paying attention to the match, and as Murphy turned around he found his jaw getting realigned by a sudden Black Mass on behalf of Black. One three count later and the team of Black, and McIntyre picked up the win.

Winner: Aelister Black & Drew McIntyre in 10:11 via pinfall (Black Mass) 58%

Following the final minutes of our opening tag match, as the performers were making their way backstage, AJ Styles' entrance music suddenly kicks in. The camera cuts to a quick recap of the end of RAW, where AJ Styles laid out Roman Reigns following his match, with the final shot of AJ posing with a smug smirk on his face. We soon return to live television, where AJ is stepping into the ring, a microphone already in hand - the same smirk clearly visible on his face.

lB4A43Q.jpg

Styles: "Let me ask y'all a question right now. Did you like what I did to Roman Reigns at the end of RAW, or did ya' love it?" The crowd, predictably, boos in response. "Aww, what do you chumps know? What is the big deal about Roman Reigns anyway? Half the time you don't even like him! He's the guy the company tells you is the top guy, but AJ Styles? I'm the champ that runs the camp. I MADE SmackDown Live a few years ago. Because when it comes right down to it, guys like Roman? They're pretenders. Muscle heads that don't actually know what to do when the bell rings. But a guy like me? I'm an artist in this ring man. At Extreme Rules I'm gonna show the world who the superior performer is. I'll be in first place, and after that it's only a matter of time before the gold is around my waist. But don't feel bad Roman. Because one day, you'll be able to tell your grandkids that you had the honor of losing to The Phenomenal One!"

AJ's theme kicked up again, and Styles posed for the camera for a moment before the feed cut to a commercial. When we returned, it was time for our opening contest.

Kofi Kingston Vs. Jey Uso

B-Block Wrestling Classic Match

Two tag team specialists engaged in singles competition in our first B-Block match of the evening, and unfortunately while the battles between The New Day and the Usos were fairly legendary - when it come to one on one competition these two just simply had no chemistry.

The match was embarrassing. Awkward botches here, miscues there. Eventually after what felt like eternity, Kofi put Uso away with Trouble In Paradise for the three count.

Winner: Kofi Kingston in 10:19 via pinfall (Trouble In Paradise) 37%

The camera could not cut away from the last match fast enough, and we soon found ourselves backstage where Rey Mysterio stood with his back to the camera, looking at a wall of the various masks he had used throughout his career. Along the bottom on a shelf were photos from big moments in his WWE career, such as when he won the World Championship, and his legendary record setting run in the Royal Rumble match.

VfPVQWR.jpg

Rey: "Y'know, it's been a long journey. But I've done some great things. I helped WCW get put on the map, when I was a mainstay in it's Cruiserweight Division. I lasted longer than any other person in history in a Royal Rumble match. I won the biggest championship in the company. So many good memories."

Rey chuckled to himself for a moment, before finally turning around to face the camera.

Rey: "I don't know who Heyman has waiting for me. I'm sure I'm gonna be in for a fight. But, y'know what? I've proven than when it matters I can do the unexpected. I started my rise as a junior heavyweight, and at Extreme Rules I have the chance to come full circle and help make this division mean something as champion. So whoever you are, I hope you're ready to bring your A-game, because you're going up against one of the best. And if it's not meant to be my time again? Well, you're gonna earn it."

Rey walked off, leaving the camera on this defacto shrine to all things Mysterio. A short time later we cut to a commercial break.

When we returned from break, we saw a contract signing table set up backstage with Asuka and Shayna Baszler sitting at opposite sides. At first, everything seemed to be professional as an official laid the contract down and both women signed it.

Ja5oTHY.jpgQS2tMQC.jpg

As soon as the contract was pulled away, however, Shayna quickly stood up and shoved the table into Asuka. The Empress of Tomorrow was not phased by it, and merely smiled at Shayna before shoving the table right back. Before long Shayna flipped the table over and lunged at the Asian superstar, who was more than happy to meet her halfway. Shayna thought she had the upper hand, and attempted to choke Asuka but Asuka blinded her by spraying green mist into her eyes. Shayna squirmed away trying to wipe her eyes as Asuka rose up holding her throat.

Asuka: "You are NOT ready for Asuka!"

Asuka prepared to dash at her with a hip attack, but officials arrived on the scene to keep the two apart before one of the PPV matches ended up getting cancelled due to injury.

Sami Zayn Vs. King Corbin

B-Block Wrestling Classic Match

In what was thankfully a much better match than the previous tournament match tonight, Sami Zayn found himself standing across the ring from the self-proclaimed King of the WWE, Baron Corbin. Sami tried his best to use superior speed, and wrestling ability to get the upper hand - but Corbin was used to tangling with smaller opponents, and as promised, stunned Zayn with a stiff looking punch to the mouth.

The referee admonished him for what was a clear closed fist, but Corbin shrugged it off. The ref went to check on Sami, and had to dive out of the way when Corbin nearly took his head off with a clothesline to Sami. Unable to regain his composure, Zayn soon found himself drilled into the canvas with End of Days. One three count later, and Corbin was up to six points.

Winner: King Corbin in 10:21 via pinfall (End Of Days) 48%

We soon cut backstage where Braun Strowman was on his way to catering backstage. Creepily as he began to progress further the lights in the hallway began to flicker until shutting off completely. Strowman muttered to himself, but after a moment the lights flicked back on - but this time they were all blood red. He also wasn't alone. Standing behind him was The Fiend!

yUKSMtO.jpgsReWe4Z.jpg

Strowman sighed. He was no stranger to the antics of his former mentor. Braun did his best to swing around with a punch, but The Fiend quickly locked in the mandible claw and slammed the big man against the wall. Braun was slamming massive haymakers into Bray's back, but it seemed like they had no effect at all!

Soon Braun's punches began to grow slower, until his arms drooped to his side. The Fiend guided him, curiously gently, down to the ground. The lights flickered off, and when they returned on Strowman was still unconscious on the ground by Wyatt was nowhere to be seed. Soon medical staff arrived on the scene to check on him. It would seem that Wyatt has a new target going into Extreme Rules.

Jeff Hardy Vs. John Morrison

B-Block Wrestling Classic Match

Both Jeff Hardy, and John Morrison stood at two points going into this match. Neither man could afford another loss, and desperation was beginning to set in. Where as Morrison was willing to do just about anything to get the edge, even if he had to cheat - Jeff Hardy was filled with something that was arguably more powerful: Heart.

Morrison threw just about everything he had at Hardy, but no matter what Hardy got hit with, the man absolutely refused to stay down for the three. Soon, after one hell of a back and forth struggle, Hardy managed to hit Morrison with the Twist of Fate, and picked up the three count.

Winner: Jeff Hardy in 14:49 via pinfall (Swanton Bomb) 58%

After a short commercial break, we find ourselves once again backstage where another wrestler was waiting to make a statement against his Extreme Rules opponent. In this case, it was none other than Kevin Owens.

tgGesja.jpg

Owens: "Look, I'm not going to pretend that things in this tourney haven't started off bumpy for me. I don't have any excuses. The people in my block are arguably the greatest wrestlers in the world. Some might even say in history. But I'm not going to lose again. I ... can't lose again. I once held the WWE Universal Championship in my hands, and I felt what it was like to the main focus of the show. I need to feel that again. I need the WWE to become the Kevin Owens Show. And to do that I need to step into the ring at Extreme Rules with Randy Orton. Listen, I know Orton is going to do whatever he needs to in order to win. He'll use a chair. He'll try to kick me in the skull. But I figure seeing as how this is Extreme Rules, and frankly it feels weird to not have some kind of EXTREME in your Extreme Rules show - how about we make this interesting Randy? At Extreme Rules, I say the two of us have a tables match. You can cheat all you want, and in the end I get the pleasure of powerbombing you through a table. If you ask me it's win-win. So Triple H? Make the match. Give the people what they want. Give ME what I want. Because I came to this company to fight, and that is just what I intend to do."

The camera remained focus on the serious look on Kevin's face for a moment, before cutting back to ringside for the next match.

Dolph Ziggler Vs. Bobby Lashley

B-Block Wrestling Classic Match

Where as the determination of Jeff Hardy managed to push him as far as he needed to go, Ziggler's determination hit a bit of a snag in that Bobby Lashley just simply REFUSED to be beaten. Everything that Ziggler attempted, Lashley smacked him down. Ziggler kept fighting. He kept struggling. He tried pulling tights. He tried whatever he could to keep afloat...

...but it wasn't enough. Ziggler eventually found himself laid out with the Running Powerslam, when MVP had enough of Lashley toying with the poor soul. Lashley remained undefeated.

Winner: Bobby Lashley in 10:24 via pinfall (Running Powerslam) 54%

We find ourselves backstage for the last of our PPV statements for the evening. This time, it was Roman Reigns, who we joined in the middle of him watching a recap of the heinous attack on him by Styles on RAW. Roman's face was stoic, almost emotionless as he watched. If he was growing angrier, the man had a tremendous poker face.

z0pmkVa.jpg

Roman: "In this business, you kind of have to expect people to pick their shots. Especially when you're the top dog in the company. Everybody wants to get a win on you, to propel themselves into the spotlight. So I'm not mad at AJ Styles for what he did. Not really. But you see AJ, stuff like that? It doesn't just happen, and then you get away with it. Nah. There's always a receipt. At Extreme Rules, you can bet payback is coming. I ain't looking to drop another match, and I certainly won't be letting a punk like you walk all over me. I'm gonna take you to school at Extreme Rules. Believe that."

Roman cocked his arm like a shotgun, and nodded at the camera before we faded back to ringside for our main event of the evening.

Big E Vs. Cesaro

B-Block Wrestling Classic Match

Speaking of attacks from behind, as Big E made his entrance to the ring the camera showed a recap of Cesaro blitzing him backstage at RAW, clearly attempting to use the same strategy that helped him get a big win over Jeff Hardy in his first tourney match. Big E was shown to be nursing his elbow, but he didn't seem quite as down and out as Hardy was.

Cesaro was quick to dash onto the attack with a series of VERY European Uppercuts, but any attempt to lift the big man found him getting overpowered, even though Big E was down to one arm! Cesaro began to get frustrated over a time, and started doing things he wouldn't typically do - which meant they were less effective than they should. This all came to a head when Cesaro climbed to the top rope, intending to hit a flying European Uppercut.

...unfortunately Big E ducked the hit, and caught the man in midair, before suddenly dropping him with a Big Ending out of nowhere! Cesaro was out cold! Big E got the pin, and moved up to having six points!

Winner: Big E in 9:32 via pinfall (Big Ending) 56%

<strong>Heyman</strong>: "<span style="color:#4B0082;">Ladies and gentlemen ... my name is Paul Heyman, and tonight I don't stand here, at least not for the time being, as the advocate of the BEAST INCARNATE Brock LES-nar. No, I stand here tonight as the advocate of another man. A man who I feel the WWE as a company has been sleeping on - leaving him to waste away devoid of opportunities on NXT, and dead end shows like 205 Live. My client is no mere 'sports entertainer'. In the land of the rising sun many viewed him not only as a top of the line talent, but as the ACE of the Junior Heavyweights. Some have called him the greatest professional wrestler whom has ever lived. And tonight, for the first time, I allow you of the WWE Universe to truly see this man for what he is for the first time. So, without further ado ... I present to you, my new client and your soon to be REIGNING. DEFENDING. UNDISPUTED. WWE Junior Heavyweight Champion. The ACE of the WWE ...I give you ...KUSHIDA!</span>"</p><p> </p><p>

Kushida's former NXT theme soon erupted from the P.A. system speakers as a Delorean drove beside the set. The doors soon rose, with a puff of smoke escaping the car before the man himself rose from the mist, wearing his traditional Marty McFly-esq jacket and glasses. Kushida glanced down at his wrist, imagining a wrist watch was there for a moment before pointing at the ring and making his way down to it. Rolling in, he shortly bowed to Heyman who did the same in response. Taking off his jacket and glasses he turned toward the ring to await the legendary Rey Mysterio so he could prove himself finally to the WWE audience.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>KUSHIDA Vs. Rey Mysterio</strong></p><p>

<strong>WWE Junior Heavyweight Championship</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

Stylistically it became clear virtually right away that this was not the same KUSHIDA that was stuck on NXT. Gone were the attempts to mesh with the WWE style. Instead he was more akin to what fans may had seen on shows for New Japan Pro Wrestling. High energy, combined with stiff-looking strikes. He was in the ring with one of the best juniors in the history of the game, but KUSHIDA didn't come here just to lose when it counted.</p><p> </p><p>

He was the ACE of the Junior Heavyweights once again, and he was going to prove it - no matter who got in his way! This wasn't to say Rey Mysterio sat back and took it either. The legendary masked superstar got his fair share of good shots to the debuting superstar, and very nearly came close to getting a pinfall with Drop The Dime. However, KUSHIDA managed to kick out at two and three quarters. Rey showed some determination as well, via blocking KUSHIDA's attempts at delivering his Back to the Future impact finisher. Unfortunately, Rey was so determined to look out for that, that he soon fell when KUSHIDA switched gears and locked on his Hoverboard Lock instead.</p><p> </p><p>

Rey struggled for a time, but as KUSHIDA pulled back harder Rey had no choice but to tap out granting KUSHIDA the big win, and the gold.</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><span style="color:#8B0000;"><strong>Winner</strong></span><span style="color:#8B0000;">: </span><span style="color:#8B0000;"><strong>Kofi Kingston</strong></span><span style="color:#8B0000;"> in 9:40 via submission (Hoverboard Lock) </span><span style="color:#8B0000;"><strong>50%</strong></span></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

After a moment on camera to show Kushida celebrating with the gold, we cut backstage to where Triple H is watching the show in his office, nodding at what he was seeing. Another former NXT talent rising to success once finding the opportunity to have the spotlight. It was like watching his children go off to college only to make the Dean's List. Suddenly Hunter's office door flew open, as a growling Braun Strowman rushed into the room. Before Hunter even had a chance to reprimand him, Braun began shouting.</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="nj74FZX.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/nj74FZX.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="sReWe4Z.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/sReWe4Z.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Braun</strong>: "<span style="color:#696969;">Did you see what Wyatt did on Friday?! You're just gonna sit there, and let him attack people? I want payback. I don't want to just pin him, I want to make him suffer. You call this show Extreme Rules? Alright then. I want a Last Man Standing match.</span>"</p><p> </p><p>

Hunter looked a bit off guard at how brazen Braun was being, and he had to resist the urge to suspend him right on the spot. However, his anger was justified considering what Wyatt did to him earlier in the week. Hunter cleared his throat, and regained his composure before responding.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Hunter</strong>: "<span style="color:#006400;">Listen Braun, in this business you have to be prepared for people attempting to get one over on you. This ain't ballet. So, no - I'm not gonna punish Bray for beating others to the punch, no more than I'm going to punish Cesaro for doing the same thing in the other block, and as we saw with Big E - it doesn't always pay off. Second of all, I don't appreciate you barging into my office like you own the place making demands ... but you're right about one thing. This is Extreme Rules, so rather than suspending you I'm gonna give you what you want. But I want you to consider one thing Strowman ... is this what you want? Or is this what HE wants? Think about that, and get the hell out of my office.</span>"</p><p> </p><p>

Some security guards arrive on the scene to guide Braun out of the office, and though there was a satisfied grin on Braun's face, there was a glint of doubt in his eyes. What if Hunter was right? What if he was playing into Wyatt's crap this entire time?</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Daniel Bryan Vs. Andrade</strong></p><p>

<strong>A-Block Wrestling Classic Match</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

In our first A-Block tournament match of the evening, we Daniel Bryan step into the ring with the tranquillo superstar Andrade. Bryan had four points, and Andrade a mere two. Both superstars were in a situation where they couldn't afford to lose, as the block was rapidly approaching the final matches with each passing show. These two engaged in a very back-and-forth, half technical and half high flying showcase.</p><p> </p><p>

It seemed as if Bryan frequently had the upper hand, which wasn't surprising considering many could consider him to be one of the greatest wrestlers to ever take part in the sport. Andrade, however, was no slouch either. He brought a more lucha-based style to the match which at times took Bryan off guard. Still, not enough to shake Bryan's control of the match - that was until Bryan attempted to deliver Knee Plus.</p><p> </p><p>

Just aware enough to spy an opportunity, Andrade ducked under the knee while scooping his arm between Bryan's legs so he could pull him into a roll up. Then beyond the glimpse of the referee, Andrade hooked Bryan's tights until the referee counted the three and Andrade finally found himself with four points! Some might consider this outcome something of an upset.</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><span style="color:#8B0000;"><strong>Winner</strong></span><span style="color:#8B0000;">: </span><span style="color:#8B0000;"><strong>Andrade</strong></span><span style="color:#8B0000;"> in 10:25 via pinfall (Hooked Tights) </span><span style="color:#8B0000;"><strong>66%</strong></span></p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Asuka Vs. Shayna Baszler</strong></p><p>

<strong>WWE Women's Heavyweight Championship</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

This contest was an interesting one, as it didn't resemble a traditional wrestling match. Between Shayna's MMA knowledge, and Asuka's proficiency in striking the majority of this match had a lot more in common with a UFC fight, which played into the rivalry that had been brewing between the two tournament finalists.</p><p> </p><p>

Neither woman appeared to be shaken by the other. And why should they? Shayna was anything but underconfident, and Asuka had reason to be confident being that she had a larger undefeated streak than even Goldberg did back in NXT. Eventually, however, fatigue came into play and both women slowed down a bit. This is where submissions began to take the focus of the match, and both women were very good at them.</p><p> </p><p>

Asuka seemed insatiable, and outright refused to submit. Seeing no other choice Shayna did what she had to. She chopped Asuka right in the throat, and then popped Asuka right in the eye with a closed fist. The ref attempted to yell at her but she suddenly locked on the Kirifuda Clutch. Asuka struggled, but with the chop to the throat she could barely breathe and had no choice but to tap out - Shayna was your WWE Women's Champion.</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><span style="color:#8B0000;"><strong>Winner</strong></span><span style="color:#8B0000;">: </span><span style="color:#8B0000;"><strong>Shayna Baszler</strong></span><span style="color:#8B0000;"> in 15:21 via submission (Kirifuda Clutch) </span><span style="color:#8B0000;"><strong>52%</strong></span></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

Shayna stood over Asuka and raised her belt into the air, before rolling out and starting to make her way up the ramp - on the way she was passed by another champion, the newly crowned WWE Television Champion Samoa Joe!</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="fAOEhPs.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/fAOEhPs.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

Joe had a serious look on his face, as he held the championship over his shoulder. Joe rolled into the ring, and grabbed a microphone from a stage hand. He also demanded a steel chair, and soon set it up in the middle of the ring and sat down looking right up the ramp as he spoke.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Joe</strong>: "<span style="color:#8B0000;">Imagine what it feels like to be the first WWE champion of this new era, and a pay-per-view event comes around only for you to discover you're not even on the card. Well, I'm gonna make this perfectly clear. I'm not missing out on a PPV payday. Because I spent way too much time being stuck at that commentary desk when I could be in this ring doing what I do best. So, I know that I have to defend this belt tomorrow ... but the way I see it? I can defend it tonight too. So anybody in the back that thinks they can stand toe to toe with me, I encourage you to get your ass out here so I can choke you out.</span>"</p><p> </p><p>

Joe threw down the microphone, and then stood up kicking the chair out of the ring as he glared up the ramp awaiting his first victim.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Samoa Joe Vs. John Cena</strong></p><p>

<strong>WWE Television Championship</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

It wasn't long before music began to play, in this instance the sound of legendary WWE superstar John Cena. Samoa Joe practically was licking his chops at the idea of a battle with Cena, as many fans knew of their history going to wrestling school together and felt this was a battle a long time coming.</p><p> </p><p>

As soon as the bell rang, Joe immediately went on the attack - but the damn near untouchable multi-time champ was able to deflect his attacks on nearly every occassion. Joe managed to fight off a couple of attempts at the Attitude Adjustment, but it seemed as if it was only a matter of time until the big man delivered on his big shot. And deliver he did, but to the shock of everybody in the crowd Joe managed to kick out at two! Cena, was bewildered, and visibly impressed.</p><p> </p><p>

Still, Cena saw that the writing was on the wall and soon rolled through to put Joe back on his shoulders for a second. Unfortunately for Cena, this was an opportunity Joe was waiting for and Joe suddenly locked on to Conquina Clutch! Cena struggled, but soon Joe had wrapped his legs around Cena's body, leaving the multi-time champion without any leverage to get himself back to his feet.</p><p> </p><p>

Cena refused to tap, but Joe didn't particularly care about the method of submission and kept the hold locked on until Cena passed out entirely. The referee rang the bell and Samoa Joe had officially had his first successful defense of the Television Championship.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Seth Rollins Vs. Drew McIntyre</strong></p><p>

<strong>A-Block Wrestling Classic Match</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

"The Messiah" stood across the ring from "The Chosen One". Seth was desperate to get higher on the leaderboard, where as Drew was hungry - but relatively well scored. This match was a bit more methodical, and slow paced than the previous, but it worked to rile the crowd up to a fever pitch.</p><p> </p><p>

The crowd wanted to see McIntyre put away the braggadocios superstar but Seth had other plans. He had taken one too many loses this tournament and he wasn't looking to take any more. So desperate was he in fact, that while Buddy Murphy distracted the referee - Seth would throw powder into Drew's eyes!</p><p> </p><p>

Before the referee had an opportunity to examine what had happened, Seth kicked Drew in the gut to double him over and then drilled his head into the canvas with a Curb Stomp! A three count later and Seth was rising on the scoreboard. Unfortunately for Drew, as he complained to the ref after the decision - it was too late. The referee didn't see it.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Randy Orton Vs. Kevin Owens</strong></p><p>

<strong>A-Block Wrestling Classic Tables Match</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

In the first of two Extreme Rules themed tourney matches, we saw Kevin Owens step into the ring with Randy Orton. For the most part this match was a bit of a back, and forth, brawl which seemingly ignored the tables all together. That was, of course, until Orton managed to knock Owen off his game a bit and The Viper saw blood.</p><p> </p><p>

Orton grabbed a table and set it up in the corner, but when he attempted to put Owens through it, Kevin managed to push out of the hold and shove Orton through instead. Randy put on the breaks and suddenly delivered the RKO to put Owens out. Unfortunately for Randy, Owens was not an easy body to move when he was out cold, and Orton took quite some time attempting before he decided to say the hell with it and set up a table to put Owens through with another RKO.</p><p> </p><p>

Turning around Orton would find Owens had risen to his feet and soon Orton got launched into the air and then Powerbombed straight through the table. Owens earns himself another two points! </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Braun Strowman Vs. The Fiend</strong></p><p>

<strong>A-Block Wrestling Classic Last Man Standing Match</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

As soon as Braun Strowman entered what would be our second Extreme Rules themed match of the night, the lights in the arena all turned blood red leading to the arrival of not just mere Bray Wyatt, but of THE FIEND! Braun, however, was not intimidated and soon steamrolled through his former mentor. The referee counted to two, and Bray was already on his feet. Braun quickly grabbed him a delivered a thunderous running powerslam but after a count of three Bray was once again on his feet!</p><p> </p><p>

On, and on this went with Braun delivering high impact moves, only for The Fiend to seemingly shrug it off. Soon Wyatt began to respond with a few of his own, and Braun managed to rise to his feet but only after a count of six, or seven. And furthermore when Braun rose he was dazed, still recovering - where as Wyatt was seemingly unaffected entirely!</p><p> </p><p>

This was a strength far beyond what Braun had seen when Bray was merely the cult leader from the swamp back in the day. Eventually, Braun found himself locked into the mandible claw and fight as he might, it wasn't long before his arms were going limp just as they did on Friday night. A Sister Abigail later to spike Braun's head into the canvas ... and the referee counted to ten. Braun was once again out cold.</p><p> </p><p>

The lights in the arena went pitch black, and when they returned to now normal color Braun was still laid out in the ring but Bray was nowhere to be found. Referees checked on Braun and helped him to the back.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Roman Reigns Vs. AJ Styles</strong></p><p>

<strong>A-Block Wrestling Classic Match</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

Finally we come to our final A-Block match of the evening, pitting Roman Reigns against AJ Styles to determine who is truly the face that runs the place. Previously we had need AJ Styles lay out Roman, to attempt to get an edge mentally over the Big Dog, but when it came time to deliver in the ring it seemed as if the stoic big man had not had his confidence shaken what so ever.</p><p> </p><p>

While it was true he had difficulty keeping up with the superior speed of Styles, Roman was far more proficient at stunning Styles with superior strength and powerful strikes. Getting desperate Styles began to attempt big moves before Roman was fully stunned enough to get away with them. A Styles Clash turned into a backdrop. An attempt at a Calf Crusher turned into a stomp to the neck.</p><p> </p><p>

A pele kick stunned Roman enough for Styles to get some offense in, until he thought he had Roman where he wanted him. AJ attempted to take Roman out with a Phenomenal Forearm, but instead he found Roman waiting for him with a Superman Punch! A few moments later Roman drilled AJ into the canvas with a spear! A three count later, and Roman earned himself two more points.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Brock Lesnar Vs. The Undertaker</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

And finally we come to our main event of the evening, pitting the legendary Undertaker against the Beast Incarnate Brock Lesnar. Heyman shouted strategies as Brock attempted to overpower the dead man, but Undertaker was crafty and wasn't about to let Brock get control this early. This wasn't the slow lumbering dead man. This was the pissed off soupbones throwing Big Evil that Brock was contending with tonight, and this was a version of the Undertaker that Brock had problems with earlier in his career.</p><p> </p><p>

Still, Brock eventually managed to get his hands on Taker enough to deliver a sequence of powerful German Suplexes. Brock laughed down to Heyman who's expression went grave as Undertaker sat up and locked Brock in his Takin' Care of Business submission! Brock managed to squeeze out of the hold, but it wasn't long before Taker brawled him into the corner, keeping the big man stunned with a series of those aformentioned Soup Bones. Taker grabbed Brock's arm and soon walked the tightrope before chopping him down. Taker felt it was time to put Brock away, and soon laid him out with the Last Ride as Heyman lost his marbles outside of the ring. The referee counted ... one ... two ... thr--... suddenly the referee stopped as KUSHIDA was standing on the apron!</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="Yjse6gK.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Yjse6gK.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

Seeing that the referee was too distracted to count the pin, Taker got off of his cover and attempted to knock KUSHIDA off the apron with a running big boot, but the faster man managed to catch his leg and leap off the apron forcing Taker to be crotched on the top rope. This gave Brock enough time to recover and grab the hurt Taker to deliver a F-Five! Not willing to put things to chance, Brock quickly picked Taker back up for a second, and then again for a THIRD F-Five! Brock went for the pin and got the one ... two ...and three!</p><p> </p><p>

Heyman and his clients steal this one! The final shot of the show was the three of them standing with arms raised, and KUSHIDA holding up his Junior Heavyweight Championship belt.</p><p> </p><p>

Wrestling Observer Monthly News for July

More Releases Due, Albeit Scattered

It is reported that in addition to some of the releases which took place at the start of the month, when the Paul Levesque regime began, more will gradually come in bursts over time. Levesque intends to shape the company the way he needs it to look, and a process of doing that is doing a little spring cleaning on the sheer abundance of talent Vince McMahon signed in an attempt to prevent other companies from having them. When pressed for comment, Mr. Levesque has this to say:

Triple H: "There is so much talent in the WWE right now, and don't get me wrong, the vast majority of them absolutely deserve to be there - but here's the thing. There is only so much television time, and the unfortunate truth about it is a lot of people are gonna be left off the show. The idea is to even the playing field for some of the roster, as well as allowing room for me to go after a couple of performers I have my eye on."

It is also being reported that the reasoning for the scattered bursts of releases, is to not go too overboard with how much money the company is spending buying out contracts as they attempt to reach their ideal goal. The idea is to break even at worst, and get a small profit at best until things are where they need to be and the company can truly go all in.

Bruce Prichard Released!

Further reports for the WWE have brought us the information that road agent, and former Brother Love, Bruce Prichard has been terminated from the company following multiple poorly booked segments which fans had been openly complaining about on social media. It is believed the man was quite frankly not good enough at the job to be holding a position of power in such an advanced company, and as such the WWE couldn't afford to keep him around tanking segments. Currently there are no plans to replace him, as it is believed the company has more than enough road agents at the moment.

Jey Uso Alcohol Concerns!

It is being reported that B-Block competitor in the Wrestling Classic, Jey Uso, was actually sent home from a recent show because he showed up to the venue absolutely smashed. Due to his current position in the company, and involvement in the main storyline the WWE decided against firing him and instead fined him, and sent him home for the night.

Reports claim Mr. Uso was extremely unhappy with this fining, and as such has gotten Naomi, his brother, and Roman Reigns to file minor complaints about Jey's "unjust" treatment. The company believes Mr. Reigns will eventually get over his grumblings, as will Naomi. The WWE is hoping The Usos can eventually come around to see the error of their ways, but adds showing up to shows unfit for competition will not be tolerated.

Tag Team Championship Plans

Lastly, we have a report related to the current idea being tossed around as far as what should be done about the tag championship. Mr. Levesque has stated that it is no secret that Vince McMahon allowed the tag division to atrophy due to a general lack of interest. As such, the WWE currently only has a handful of valid, and active teams. Some of which are currently down due to injury on the part of one of the performers.

Mr. Levesque is a known advocate of the teachings of Dusty Rhodes, and previously Mr. Rhodes held a high position on the backstage day-to-day on NXT, and as such has been discussing reviving one of Mr. Rhodes more ... infamous concepts: The Lethal Lottery.

The idea is simple. A tag team tournament in which teams are randomly drawn, forming new teams on the spot. Traditionally this was used to force feuding performers to have to work together to earn an opportunity at a championship, or prize money - but in this case it is believed the concept will be to see if the company can luck out on a few combinations that have exceptional chemistry together. As to if that plan will come to fruition, or be a success - time will tell.

Thank you very much ... and see you soon for RAW!

Rey Mysterio Vs. Ricochet Vs. Humberto Carrillo

#1 Contendership to KUSHIDA's WWE Junior Heavyweight Championship

A trio of junior heavyweight superstars prepared to tangle, with the promise of a championship match against the newly crowd WWE Junior Heavyweight Champion, KUSHIDA, on the line. Humberto was a bit lesser when it came to high flying, and focused more on a more technical style of wrestling. Rey brought to the game something of a hybrid of the two, and Ricochet? Well, to say he was bouncing around the ring like a five year old with a pound of lollies would likely be an understatement.

The three engaged in little mini battles, with one of the three being the odd man out on the outside, as is generally tradition with three-way-dances. As we neared to the conclusion of the match it was Ricochet's turn to fly to the outside after a well placed dropkick from Humberto. Rey was soon there to showcase his own dropkick, which caught Carrillo at such an angle that he went stumbling into the bottom ropes, and remained resting there for a short timeframe.

Rey Mysterio attempted to deliver the 6-1-9 to Humberto after sending Carrillo into the ropes. Carrillo managed to catch his legs, and shove the masked superstar out to the floor. Meanwhile, Ricochet flipped into the ring from the other side and caught Humberto as he turned around with a vicious elbow. This stunned Humberto long enough for Ricochet to drill him to the canvas with his Benadryller! Ricochet held it for the pin, and the ref counted the one, two, and three!

Ricochet is now the number one contender, and will be stepping into the ring with KUSHIDA at SummerSlam at the end of the month.

Winner: Ricochet in 12:24 via pinfall (Benadryller) 44%

</blockquote>

<blockquote style="border: 4px solid #FFFFFF; background: #FFFFFF; width: 900px; padding: 10px">

While Ricochet stood on the top rope, with his hand raised to the air in celebration suddenly his own music cut off, only to be replaced by the familiar sound of Brock Lesnar's entrance music. Ricochet turned his glanced toward the ramp, and hopped down to stand facing what was about to come. Soon Brock Lesnar, KUSHIDA, and their advocate Paul Heyman arrived at the top of the ramp - but curiously went no further. Strangely both men appeared to be ...applauding Ricochet? Although the smirks, and laughter on their faces seemed to imply their celebrations weren't genuine. Eventually, Jerry "The King" Lawler rose from his position at the announce table with a microphone and approached the three.

aiFnuyz.jpgJzaR2FQ.jpgBhshglL.jpgYjse6gK.jpg

Jerry "The King" Lawler: "Now hold on just a minute guys, what is the meaning of this?"

Jerry held the microphone out to Brock, and then to KUSHIDA, but neither man opted to say a single word. Naturally, Jerry was left with only one option: The Advocate. Thus, he presented the microphone to Heyman, who unlike his clients was all too delighted to speak.

Paul Heyman: "Ladies and gentlemen ... my name is Paul Heyman! And I stand before you tonight as the advocate for 'The Beast Incarnate' Brock LES-ner, as well as your REIGNING! DEFENDING! UNDISPUTED! WWE Junior Heavyweight Champion - The 'ACE of the Junior Heavyweights' - KUSH-IDA! Now, with our introductions out of the way I say to Mr. Ricochet ... congratulations! No need sir, to feel on your guard. My clients are not here to hurt you. Quite frankly, Mr. Ricochet - we are PROUD of you. You have earned the honor, and dare I say ... privledge ... of being the first man to earn the right to step into the ring with KUSHIDA for his championship. The first, might I add, of many - as I regret to inform you, Mr. Ricochet, that you will not be leaving SummerSlam with the championship. You will be but the first of many victims who thought they could step up to the Ace, only to be put back in their place."

The camera cut to Ricochet for a moment, who looked somewhat bemused at this, but a close eye could tell the man was on his guard at all times, expecting this to go south at the drop of a hat.

Heyman: "Just like The Undertaker was last night, Mr. Ricochet, you are going to be beaten, and conquered in the middle of that ring. But don't mistake this as KUSHIDA dismissing you as a challenger - oh no. You and my client are very familiar with one another from your days in New Japan. The Best of the Super Juniors 2014. The night where you, Mr. Ricochet, DEFEATED my client in the finals of that tournament. KUSHIDA is over the moon that you've won this opportunity, because now he can correct a wrong that has been looming over his head since the moment you left New Japan to come to NXT. You were the driving force that brought him here, Mr. Ricochet. To avenge his humiliation, and defeat - and at SummerSlam, he's going to do EXACTLY that. So prepare yourself, because the ACE of the Junior Heavyweights will be waiting."

Heyman nodded to his clients and the two men followed him backstage. The camera returned to Ricochet who now had a look of determination on his face, reminded of his earlier encounters with the champion. A history with a chapter left to be written. Soon the show faded to black, for a short commercial break.

Aelister Black Vs. Kane

While normally an opponent would be filled with dread when standing across the ring from "The Big Red Machine", Aelister Black seemed to be completely indifferent sitting Indian style in the corner while he stared sternly at the big man. Eventually Black reached up to pull himself to his feet, and the two men exchanged strikes. Kane delivered a series of upward punches, but he soon found himself completely overwhelmed by the speed of Black's educated feet.

Soon the match became a battle of speed, versus power where Kane's endurance allowed him to survive the sheer volume of strikes from Black, and he managed to stun the smaller man with a couple of well placed blows himself. Still, Black was no willing to remain down for long and Kane was left with few moments to catch a breath.

Kane growled low. He had toyed with this no name long enough, and he was looking to put him away. However, much to Kane's chagrin as he marched forward to attempt to grab Black for a chokeslam he found himself being booted directly in the side of the head with a sickening smack and soon dropped lifeless to the canvas - a victim of Black Mass. Black pinned Kane, and a few seconds later he was named the victor.

Dana Brooke Vs. Kairi Sane Vs. Sasha Banks

#1 Contendership to Shayna Baszler's WWE Women's Heavyweight Championship

In our second of two number one contender three-way-dances, we pitted the raw strength of the fitness model Dana Brooke, against the high-flying energy of the "Pirate Princess" Kairi Sane, and the technical ability of "The Boss" Sasha Banks. Each girl took a diligent strategy attempting to play to their respective strengths. Although Kairi, and Sasha started to focus mostly on each other - with both ladies seemingly overlooking Dana entirely, Dana was determined to get their attention with some power moves.

It wasn't long before the three were looking at one another like equals, knowing that a chance for the top prize in their division was on the line. Dana wanted to prove she wasn't just some enhancement talent people claimed wasn't ready for the main roster. Sasha wanted to reclaim her status as the head woman in charge, just for the sheer adulation of it all. And Kairi? Well, she and Shayna simply had unfinished business from Shayna's interactions with her partner Asuka.

Sasha made the mistake of standing over Kairi to trash talk her, rather than going for the kill - and this left an opening for Dana Brooke to knock the wind out of her with a powerful clothesline! Stunned, Sasha rose to her feet only to be rocked with a series of elbows that sent her stumbling backwards and to the outside. Meanwhile, Kairi managed to recover and caught Dana with a few stiff-looking elbows of her own which sent the larger girl to the canvas holding her jaw. Seeing an opportunity, Kairi quickly climbed to the top rope and leapt off like a vision of perfection hitting what some would call the single best elbow drop in the business square in the center of Dana's chest. The elbow took Dana out of the game just long enough for Kairi to hook the leg for the one, two, and three!

Kairi Sane moves on to SummerSlam to step into the ring with "The Queen of Spades" Shayna Baszler, and potentially get some revenge for her tag team partner, by taking the championship.

Brock Lesnar & KUSHIDA Vs. The Viking Raiders

How in the world would polar opposites like Brock Lesnar, and KUSHIDA interact in a tag setting? The question was on the mind of a large collection of the WWE Universe and tonight they were going to get their answer. Shockingly, the answer turned out to be damn near perfect! KUSHIDA and Lesnar showcased incredible chemistry as a duo, as if they naturally knew what the other man was going to do. Between the extreme power of "The Beast Incarnate" and the nigh-unbeatable speed of "The Ace of the Junior Heavyweights", it seemed as if Heyman's Clients had virtually no weakness.

A fact that, unfortunately, left the more experienced team of Erik, and Ivar in a spot of trouble. The Viking Raiders were tough men, and perfectly capable of standing toe to toe with even the strongest of men - but Brock Lesnar was no mere man. He was a beast! Try as they might, it wasn't long before Lesnar, and KUSHIDA tired of the match and Lesnar drilled Ivar to the canvas with an F-Five.

Lesnar walked away to keep Erik away, leaving Ivar hurt on the canvas with KUSHIDA standing over his body. Soon KUSHIDA got down and locked in that Hoverboard Lock, and Ivar was in no condition to fight the hold and quickly tapped out. A tremendous first outing for Heyman's ultimate team.

As Brock Lesnar, and KUSHIDA left the ring we cut backstage to where Kairi Sane was walking around attempting to find Asuka so the two could celebrate her victory tonight. Suddenly Kairi was sent tumbling to the floor by a sneak attack forearm to the back of the head! The camera followed Kairi to the ground but soon panned up to see the identity of the attacker...

lKU3KqH.jpgQS2tMQC.jpg

It was "The Queen of Spades" herself - Shayna Baszler! Quickly, before Kairi could even truly react, Shayna dove onto the smaller woman and sat on her back so she could wrap her arm around Kairi's throat and start to choke her out. Shayna shouted trash talk while Kairi struggled to breathe.

Shayna Baszler: "So you're the chump who thinks she's gonna waltz into my ring and win my gold? Don't make me laugh. I dominated your friend, and now Kairi? I'm gonna dominate you."

The camera zoomed in on Kairi's face as she grabbed at the arm around her throat. Eventually her eyes began to slowly drift shut, and her arms drooped lifelessly to the ground. Shayna held the hold for a moment before releasing her to fall face first onto the floor, with a downright sinister chuckle. Shayna mockingly patted Kairi's lifeless head and walked away leaving the camera on Kairi's lifeless form.

The camera soon faded back to ringside, only for the sound of Samoa Joe's entrance music to begin playing. Shortly thereafter the reigning WWE Television Champion emerged from the dressing room with the gold resting over his left shoulder half covered by the towel he also wore around his neck.

fAOEhPs.jpg

As Joe made his way to the ring, a clip of last night's impromptu title defense against John Cena was shown. Specifically the last few minutes where Joe locked Cena in the Coquina Clutch and forced the multi-time WWE Champion to pass out earning Joe the victory. Commentary reminded the viewers that while it counted as a submission victory in the record books, Cena never actually directly quit. It was a referee decision to call the match. Returning to live television, Joe had made his way into the ring and laid the WWE Television Championship belt down in front of him. He also had a microphone, which soon got used.

Samoa Joe: "Last night I proved that I was ready for ANY challenger, at ANY time. From the lowest rung on the ladder ... all the way to future Hall of Famers. There isn't a man, or woman in that dressed room who's gonna catch me off guard. Last night my title defense was my decision, but tonight? Business as usual. So whomever decided to go to Triple H and tell him they want to get choked out with the Coquina Clutch ... I'm waiting."

Joe tossed down the microphone, and tossed the towel out of the ring before moving to a ready position with his eyes firmly on the stage. After a few moments of silence a familiar prelude to somebody's theme music rumbled out of the speakers.

HERE COMES THE MONEY!

It was the theme music of none other than the son of the former owner of the WWE itself - Shane McMahon!

WWE Television Championship

The crowd was certainly happy to see Shane-O-Mac after a long hiatus away from WWE action. Unfortunately, his opponent, Samoa Joe was not among those who were pleased to see him. The bell rang and Shane began to hop around the ring as he traditionally did, before stepping in to deliver his infamous rabbit punches.

Joe blocked the barrage of hits, and responded with a very firm slap across Shane's face sending him down to the canvas. McMahon attempted to jump up and get back in Joe's face thinking non-stop offense was the way to go against such an opponent, but Joe effortlessly caught the man and drilled him down to the canvas.

Joe was not here to be paid by the hour, and before Shane could recover Joe quickly locked him in the Coquina Clutch! Shane attempted to fight it for a few moments, before he was forced to tap out granting Joe his second successful title defense.

Samoa Joe grabbed his belt, and quickly left the ring as the crowd gave Shane McMahon a bit of a pity applause. Soon we cut backstage to where Big E was in the process of lacing up his boots. After a few moments a knock on the door was heard, followed by the arrival of Big E's New Day companion - and opponent for tonight's B-Block match - Kofi Kingston.

8OiIvGV.jpg21zswGo.jpg

Big E glanced up at Kofi, and nodded respectfully before raising his fist for a fist bump, which Kofi eagerly reciprocated. Soon Kofi sat down beside Big E on the bench. Big E returned to dealing with his boots, not noticing the somewhat concerned look on Kofi's face.

Kofi Kingston: "Hey E, you got a minute?"

Big E: "Of course Kof'. What's up?"

Kofi: "Well, first of all man ... you've been going at this tournament like a machine, and I was talking to Woods about it, and we both agree - we're proud of you. You've got a shot at winning this thing, and Woods just wishes he wasn't out on injury leave so he could be here to witness it up close. ...but... I gotta admit man, I'm a little worried about tonight."

Big E: "Worried? About tonight? What about tonight?"

Kofi: "Y'know. You? Me? One on one. Look, I'm not about to tell you to go easy on me, because we both know I'm a former WWE Champion and I'm just as hungry to get that gold again, but I'm worried about the brotherhood getting a crack tonight. This is serious stuff this tourney. I couldn't bear to wake up tomorrow knowing the ride is over after all these years."

Big E glanced up from his boots, finally noticing the look on Kofi's face. He only smiled in response and reached up to pat Kofi firmly, but not aggressively on his shoulder. Big E was taking this tournament seriously, but he had no intention of blaming Kofi for attempting to win, and he didn't believe Kofi would become angry if Big E won instead.

Big E: "Kof', and I say this with all due respect my brother ... you trippin'. You, me, and Woods are the dream team man. You can't break this up. I don't care if you lay me out with Trouble in Paradise as soon as the bell rings. We both want the opportunity to win the gold. And we both know we deserve it. So as long as long as after the bell rings we can go right back to being brothers then we're perfectly fine ...and do you know why?"

Kofi: "No? Why man."

Big E: "BE-CAAAAAAAAUUUUSSSSEEE ... New Day Rocks! New Day Rocks! NEW DAY ROCKS!"

Kofi grinned at his stablemate, feeling a lot better about tonight. Anything could happen, and sometimes feelings can get hurt in the heat of the moment - but for right now, The New Day were on the same page.

Dolph Ziggler (4 points) Vs. King Corbin (6 points)

B-Block Wrestling Classic Match

"King" Corbin looked across the ring at the smaller performer with a smug look on his face. Corbin believed himself to be superior to smaller performers - a fact Ziggler quickly snapped him out of via a superkick directly to the chin, which knocked Corbin out of the ring. Enraged, Corbin quickly rolled back into the ring and the two got right into a brawl in the middle of the ring.

Corbin attempted to keep Ziggler hurt with superior brawling prowess, but Ziggler had enough fight in him to keep himself out of the way of most of Corbin's big hits. That was until Corbin got in a few stiff-looking shots, and stunned Ziggler enough for the self proclaimed King to take control.

Corbin threw Ziggler to the ropes, and attempted to catch him off the rebound with End of Days, but Ziggler managed to stun Corbin with a well placed headbutt when their heads drew close. Seeing opportunity, Ziggler quickly shook off his own daze and drilled Corbin into the canvas with a Zig Zag. A pinfall later and Dolph Ziggler joined Corbin in the 6 points club.

As Ziggler rolled out of the ring following a minor mini celebration, the sound of none other than John Cena's entrance theme began to pump out of the arena speakers. Cena walked out holding his trademark "NEVER GIVE UP" mini towel before mumbling something semi-inaudible to the cameraman A salute later and Cena was rushing down to the ring.

A9Ucne9.jpg

Arriving at ringside, Cena quickly slid into the ring under the bottom rope and jumped up to his feet, with arms swung up to a chorus of cheers. He threw the towel out to the crowd, and reached out for a microphone.

John Cena: "Last night I made my return to step into the ring with Samoa Joe in his open challenge - and I'm not going to make any excuses. Joe is one of the best wrestlers in the business today, and he beat me fair and square. But you know something? I think something else happened last night - I remembered where I belong, and I couldn't let tonight pass by without telling you all that once again - THE CHAMP IS HERE! ...But why am I here? Well earlier tonight I saw Ricochet win a tremendous match to earn the right to go on to SummerSlam to take on KUSHIDA. Should be a hell of a match. But the problem I have with it, is KUSHIDA isn't gonna be alone. No, he's got one hell of a bodyguard in Brock Lesnar. I can't just sit backstage and watch as this kid walks into an unwinnable situation with Heyman's crew - so Ricochet? If you need backup ...I know a thing or two about going face to face with Brock Lesnar. So how about it Brock? What if I made sure you were too busy to get involved with KUSHIDA and Ricochet's match? How about BROCK LESNAR VERSUS JOHN CENA ... at SUMMERSLAM?! You may have taken down the Dead Man, but they don't call me the face that runs the place for nothing ...and big match John? He don't take the L twice in a row. We've been going back and forth for years, and at SummerSlam I'm aiming to finish you off once and for all."

Cena's theme played once more, and it looked as if we'd have to wait for Paul Heyman's response to this challenge in the days to come. However, if the match was accepted that'd be three big matches set for SummerSlam right out of the gate, and that is a plus by any estimation.

Jey Uso (0 points) Vs. John Morrison (2 points)

B-Block Wrestling Classic Match

In a battle of two of the most low scoring members of the B-Block, we had a primarily tag performer in Jey Uso stepping into the ring against a half-tag, half-singles hybrid in John Morrison. Uso, in spite of his record, had a fan following cheering him on as everybody loved an underdog and if Uso did NOT win this match he would be mathematically eliminated from winning the tournament, as even if he won every match after he would only be able to get a total of 8 points.

So to say Uso wasn't immediately going on the attack like a rabid dog would be a bold faced lie. Jey HAD to win this match. There was simply no other options for him. Morrison wasn't looking to make it easy for him, however. The two went back and forth for a while, until Morrison attempted to shove him off the apron only to get stunned with an elbow to the jaw.

Uso attempted to leap into the ring with a springboard splash but he found himself wide open for a well placed superkick that took him out in mid air. Sensing an opportunity, Morrison quickly leapt up to the top rope and flung off drilling Uso with Starship Pain! One pinfall later and John Morrison was up to four points.

Unfortunately for Jey Uso, he was now the first person to be officially mathematically eliminated and now was only able to play spoiler to prevent somebody else from winning.

Morrison stood on the top rope, his arm held proudly in the air in celebration as we cut backstage to where Sarah Schreiber was waiting for her interview subject.

oa9Aanr.jpg99icW8Q.jpg

Sarah Schreiber: "Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome my guest at this time ... the man who this week on SmackDown will be competing in A-Block action against 'The Viper' Randy Orton ... Andrade!"

Andrade soon calmly sauntered into the shot, a very clear moment taken to admire his interviewer before he lazily leaned against a nearby production crate nodding for her to continue.

Sarah: "Both yourself and Randy have four points, so neither of you have the advantage. But, many people are viewing Orton defeating you as a foregone conclusion, and have even said that your performance in this tournament has been disappointing ... how do you respond to those critics, and what thoughts do you have on your match itself?"

Andrade: "Some might say my score is poor, but when you consider just whom is in my block - including freaks like Wyatt - I believe I'm doing perfectly well. I'm tied with such guys as Daniel Bryan, AJ Styles ...and yes, even Randy Orton. I haven't waited my entire career for this opportunity to just get eliminated as an afterthought and walk away. I don't stress Sarah. You'll just get yourself all worked up and start making mistakes. Relax. Take it easy. I know what Orton's capable of, but Orton? He don't know what I'M capable of yet, but when I pin him one, two, three in the center of the ring ... well everybody is gonna know who I am after that."

Andrade glanced over at Sarah and smirked before turning and walking off camera. Sarah chuckled nervously, and glanced to the camera with a shrug - and the camera soon faded back to ringside for the next match.

Jeff Hardy (4 points) Vs. Sami Zayn (2 points)

B-Block Wrestling Classic Match

In what seemed like it would become a questionable match due to a clashing of styles, and a lack of chemistry turned out to be a more than acceptable match as the two managed to overcome their speedbumps with pure talent. The story of this match was quite simple, Jeff Hardy was looking to win and earn himself another points, where as Sami Zayn was more desperate to make sure he didn't lose and find himself in a similar situation as Jey Uso in the previous contest.

Sami attempted to taunt Hardy into becoming upset and making mistakes, but Hardy was just a bit too chilled out for that, and kept coming on the offense forcing Zayn to beg off and try to formulate a new plan. He slid in the ring and for several minutes the two had a fair back and forth match.

Zayn, however, wasn't about to simply leave things to chance and after a well placed eye poke to get the referee to check on Jeff, Sami dashed over and pulled the top turnbuckle pad off. He leaned over the turnbuckle to hide that it was uncovered and waited for Jeff to rush at him before sliding out of the way at the last minute forcing Jeff's head to crack against the exposed metal.

Quickly, before the referee had a chance to examine the post - Sami rushed at Jeff and delivered a thunderous Helluva Kick! A pinfall later and Sami Zayn was the proud owner of four points.

Sami quickly rolled out of the ring and skedaddled up the ramp before the referee or Jeff realized what just happened. z0pmkVa.jpg

Roman slowly rolled his neck cracking the stiffness out of it for a moment, without taking his gaze away from the camera. Finally, after a moment or two he began to speak.

Roman Reigns: "Drew McIntyre. The chosen one. Y'know some of the people in this dressing room might scoff at you, and blow you off as the guy who was running around air guitaring with Heath Slater, and Jinder Mahal - but just like Jinder you put the work in man. You came back strong and you EARNED your place at the top of the mountain. Truth is, you and I aren't so different. We've both had times where the crowd wasn't ready for us yet, but now we're back - and we're pissed off. Right now? I'm tied for first place with eight points, and you're right below me with six. I know you're looking to reclaim the gold you never lost, and I'm in for a fight. I'm looking forward to it. To seeing what the chosen one is really made of. But you gotta understand Drew, I'm tied for first for a reason. I fight off cancer just to come back and be just another face in the crowd. I've got my eyes on winning your gold, and that is just what I aim to do - and I've gotta go through you to do it. So I hope you're bringing your A-Game, because if you're gonna get through me you're gonna have to kill me. Believe that."

Bobby Lashley (8 points) Vs. Cesaro (4 points)

B-Block Wrestling Classic Match

Another day, another man looked to spoil the undefeated Bobby Lashley, to prevent him from walking into this tournament like he owned the place uncontested. Who better to take him to task than the "Swiss Superman" himself Cesaro. Unlike some of his other contests, Cesaro did not enter this contest at the advantage of getting a sneak attack of Lashley the show before - the fact he always had MVP around prevented an opening.

Instead, Cesaro had only one strategy - to meet the big man in the center of the ring and attempt to outfight him. A task in, and of itself, considering Bobby Lashley has a downright impressive MMA record of 15-2-0. Needless to say, in a sheer striking match Cesaro was not going to end up successful. However, the one major strength Cesaro did have over the bigger man was that he was far more proficient at straight up wrestling.

Cesaro used this to catch the big man off guard, where he could keep him dazed with a series of European Uppercuts. For a few moments it even looked as if Cesaro was going to do the impossible and beat the big man - until...

n9wEnN2.jpg

MVP jumped up on the apron and got into Cesaro's face! Cesaro knocked MVP off the apron with a European Uppercut, but the damage was done. Cesaro turned around right into a big spear. Shortly after Cesaro was scooped up and slammed to the canvas with a running powerslam. One three count later and Bobby Lashley remained undefeated and became the first man in the tourney to hit double digits in points.

Bobby Lashley, and MVP began to make their way up the ramp when the lights in the arena all completely went out. Soon a drum beat began to play, along with the dong of a bell and The Undertaker's voice was heard to say "DEAD MAN WALKING." Taker's Big Evil theme soon began to play, as loud revving of a motorcycle filled the air and the man himself soon rode out to the top of the stage.

jb0TsGe.jpg

Taker continued his drive down to ringside, and then around the ring so that the bike could be parked aimed toward the ramp. Taker slowly got off the bike and made his way up the ringside steps before throwing his leg over the top rope and entering the ring proper. He soon went to each side of the ring throwing his arms into the air for a set of loud cheers before ducking out to grab a microphone so he could speak to the people.

The Undertaker: "Last night Brock Lesnar took me to hell, and back again - and I don't have too much pride to admit that yeah, he got the W. But that W comes with an asterisk because his little punk buddy got involved. Still, I'm not foolish enough to say a guy like Lesnar couldn't get the job done. He got his win, and he can enjoy it - but me and him? We might meet again down the line. But for now? What's next for the Dead Man? You bet I've got my eyes locked on this Wrestling Classic. It doesn't matter who wins, because my credentials speak for themselves - but in the meantime? I can't help but notice that we've got a little badass running around issuing open challenges. So Samoa Joe? How about we forego this whole mystery challenger thing and I go ahead and declare my intentions to challenge you next week. You want to be the toughest guy on the roster? Son, you gotta understand you're standing in my yard - and next week I will make you famous and become the NEW WWE Television Champion."

The Dead Man's theme played once again, and he slid out of the ring and got back on his bike. After a moment or two to rev up the engine he drove back up to the top of the ramp - a brief pause given to hold up his fist with his back still turned to the crowd - before driving backstage. Soon the show cut to the final commercial break of the evening before the main event.

Big E (6 points) Vs. Kofi Kingston (4 points)

B-Block Wrestling Classic Match

It was the inevitable battle of the New Day, as Big E stepped into the ring with his brother from another mother Kofi Kingston. Understandably, Big E wasn't quite as quick to bulldoze his friend as he had been on some other B-Block matches. Likewise, Kofi wasn't exactly as happy-go-lucky as he traditionally was here either. This was, to both men, the most serious and dangerous match of them all. Could a friendship survive a battle with this much on the line?

The two locked up, and Big E shoved Kofi to the ground with superior strength. Kofi responded by kipping up and dropkicking the larger man, forcing him to stumble to the ropes. Big E returned off the rebound and attempted to lariat Kofi, but Kofi ducked under it and attempted to get a cheeky pin via wrapping Big E up with his S.O.S. Big E managed to power out of the hold at a count of two and smirked up at Kofi nodding as he mumbled something about him being damn close.

The two went back and forth for a bit, until Kofi attempted - and just barely missed Trouble in Paradise. Big E put his hand on his own chest and reacted like he just saw his life flash before his eyes, giving a little dose of the comedic side of himself which he left buried for most of the tourney. It wasn't long before the dominant side of E came out as he laid out Kofi with that lariat after all

The two battled for damn near 15 minutes, until Kofi attempted to go for Trouble in Paradise and seemingly tweaked his leg. Big E looked at him with concern, and although he didn't want to do it - he knew this was his opening. Mouthing that he was sorry to Kofi, who nodded that he understood - Big E once more laid out Kofi, and scooped him up before drilling him down into the canvas with The Big Ending. A three count later and Big E moved up to eight points.

The referee raised Big E's hand into the air, as the crowd cheered but Big E soon took his arm back from the ref's grasp and approached Kofi who was still sitting in the corner of the ring, selling the damage of the Big Ending, as well as his tweaked ankle.

8OiIvGV.jpg21zswGo.jpg

Big E soon bent down and wrapped his arms under Kofi's arms lifting him to help him to his feet before pulling the other man in for a hug. Kofi soon returned the hug, to another chorus of cheers before stepping out and raising Big E's hand, while pointing at him with the other. It would appear as if The New Day survived this battle and remained friends. The credits appear in the corner, and the show comes to a conclusion with the final shot being both men celebrating Big E's victory.

Wanted to tweak around with the layout a bit more, and I think I've found a setup I like. I've also been trying to work on putting a bit more spots, and moves mentions in the match write-ups. Hopefully everybody dug the show.

The Kabuki Warriors Vs. Shayna Baszler & Nia Jax

Shayna Baszler allowed Nia Jax to start off this contest, and stood on the apron smirking at little Kairi Sane, along with the occasional bit of trash talk. Kairi, while clearly a little cautious considering her close proximity to the woman she'll be challenging at SummerSlam, was eager to step into the ring first against the much larger foe. Nia Jax may have felt her vastly superior size was going to be all that was needed to steamroll over Sane, but a series of elbows to her jaw from the smaller woman left her reeling and stumbling back into her corner so she and Shayna could re-evaluate the plan.

Shayna, visibly not impressed with Nia's work so far merely yelled at her and point over at Kairi encouraging her to earn her keep. Nia looked somewhat annoyed at Shayna but rushed at Kairi none the less. Unfortunately, as Nia rushed toward Sane, Kairi used her superior speed to duck under an attempted mauling where she dropkicked Nia into their corner where Asuka awaited with a hard elbow strike of her own, forcing Nia to stumble back into another strike from Kairi. It was enough to make Nia drop down to one knee. Thinking quickly, Kairi rushed to the ropes and ensured Nia dropped entirely to the canvas with a dropkick to the face!

Nia was stunned, and not moving. Kairi quickly climbed to the top rope and leapt into the air drilling her elbow into Nia's chest before hooking the leg for the pin. Shayna attempted to get into the ring to stop it, but Asuka was already in the ring and rushing at the champion to knock her out of the ring with one of her signature hip attacks. Meanwhile the referee counted to three and the Kabuki Warriors managed to get a quick pinfall victory!

The camera showed Shayna looking miserable outside of the ring as she stared at Nia. She pointed at Kairi, mouthing something about 'I'm gonna kill you at SummerSlam' before dejectedly making her way backstage knowing she wasn't gonna get to Sane while Asuka was also around.

We soon cut backstage to where MVP, and Bobby Lashley were sitting talking about something on a purple velvet couch backstage. Behind them a large "VIP Lounge" logo was visible, with a purple velvet rope placed around the couch as if this was a night club somewhere, and not just a couch in the middle of the backstage hallway. After a few moments WWE Interviewer Charly Caruso approached the rope and attempted to get the attention of MVP and Lashley.

DwAd5nC.jpgn9wEnN2.jpg2oqpKRJ.jpg

Charly Caruso: "Excuse me? MVP? Bobby Lashley? I just wanted to get your thoughts concerning Bobby's upcoming B-Block match up this Monday on RAW against New Day member Kofi Kingston..."

MVP and Bobby glanced over at Charly, with the most unimpressed look on their face. MVP mouthed something to Bobby like 'sit back, I got this' before rising to his feet and approaching Charly. After a moment of thought, he unlatched the velvet rope and allowed her to step inside so he could reach the microphone better.

Montel Vontavious Porter: "Charly, right? Charly, I'm not sure what you want me to say? Are we supposed to have some elaborate strategy for this match, or something? Lets look at the facts. Bobby Lashley has ten points. He is the ONLY man in either block to have double digits. He is completely, and totally undefeated. Is there really a question that he's gonna go to twelve? Against ... Kofi Kingston?"

MVP turned his glance over to Bobby, who was laughing like Charly was a damned stand up comedian. MVP smirked, with a little chuckle of his own before going back to his statement.

MVP: "Now lets look at Kofi. He has four points. Four points, Charly. The man is clearly not in Bobby's league, and you're going to come here and ask what we plan to do about him? The answer is simple. We're going to dominate him. Plain and simple. Nobody in the entire B-Block can stop him. Who's even left? Corbin? Morrison? .... Uso? None of those guys have a chance. My man Lashley is gonna walk out of the Wrestling Classic with the perfect record. He's gonna walk into the finals and beat whatever chump managed to squeeze through that side, and he's gonna become WWE World Heavyweight Champion. That's just the facts. Now get to stepping."

MVP once more opened the velvet rope and nodded to her to leave. Charly, opted to not argue with them and walked off camera before MVP had his friend force her out. The final shot before the returned to ringside was a big smirk on MVP's face, showing just how much enjoyment he got out of talking down to people.

The Heyman Guys Vs. Ricochet & John Cena

It was already known that Lesnar, and KUSHIDA worked tremendously together, but tonight was the test of how well Ricochet, and John Cena could work together. The answer was while not quite as well oiled as Heyman, and KUSHIDA they weren't exactly a complete mess in the ring together either. For the start of the match we had a sequence of high flying, and slight technical wrestling from the junior heavyweights. Eventually Ricochet got the better of KUSHIDA forcing him to roll back to his corner and tag in his beastly partner.

There was no fear in Ricochet's eyes as Lesnar stepped into the ring, and to his credit he went for it. Unfortunately it wasn't long before Lesnar had him around the waist and flung him into the air for a german suplex. It wasn't long before that one suplex turned into five and Ricochet was practically out on his feet. Luckily for Ricochet, Lesnar wasn't concerned with him and he practically flung the smaller wrestler into his own corner wanting him to tag in Cena, whom Brock wanted to put to the test.

Cena reached down and grabbed Ricochet's hand, tagging himself in. Not long after Cena and Brock met in the center of the ring and began to brawl back and forth. Shockingly despite Brock's MMA history Cena managed to get a lucky shot and caught the big man off guard leading to Brock tagging KUSHIDA back in. The Japanese superstar was more than happy to see how he fared against Cena, and managed to rock Cena with a few elbow. Still, with Cena's superior size and strength eventually John got the upper hand and managed to bring KUSHIDA down with a spinout powerbomb.

Brock snuck into the ring right as Cena was about to deliver his Five Knuckle Shuffle to KUSHIDA, and spun him around before drilling him down with the F5! Thinking quickly, while Cena was mostly out cold KUSHIDA quickly put Cena in the Hoverboard Lock. The referee seeing Cena as completely out cold had no choice but to ring the bell and declare it a submission since Cena was unable to continue after some prompting.

Post-match KUSHIDA, Lesnar, and Heyman were seen to make their way backstage. Ricochet took a moment to slap Cena gently awake, making sure he was good before going backstage himself. Cena rose to his feet, and nodded to the crowd who were giving him an applause for the attempt ...however, he wasn't as alone as he, or Ricochet thought.

A9Ucne9.jpgBhshglL.jpg

Brock Lesnar had snuck back down to the ringside and slid into the ring behind Cena. Soon Lesnar grabbed Cena around the waist and flung him backwards with a German Suplex! A second, a third, and then a fourth followed! Soon Cena found himself up on Brock's shoulders so he could be drilled down with yet another F5 adding the period to the end of Cena's relatively unfortunate night.

Cena laid flat out on the canvas with eyes staring dazed up at the lights as Lesnar chuckled down at him. The feed soon cut to a commercial break as Lesnar made his way backstage, and officials tried to help Cena backstage.

Daniel Bryan (4) Vs. Braun Strowman (2)

A-Block Wrestling Classic Match

Braun Strowman currently sat as the lowest scoring member of the A-Block, a fact the big man was completely aware of and not all together pleased about. Meanwhile, his opponent, Daniel Bryan was only a mere two points higher on the scoreboard. Neither man could truly afford to take a loss at this late stage in the game, for after tonight there was only three more chances to score points and mathematical eliminations were rapidly becoming a thing. A loss tonight would basically spell the end of Braun Strowman entirely, and even then he'd have a hard time truly getting to the end of the line on top of the scoreboard.

Strowman and Bryan engaged in a battle of power versus speed, and for the most part speed was starting to win - but every time Braun found an opening his single hit rocked Bryan and that gave Braun enough of an opening to get some good damage. On one of these occurrences, Braun saw an opportunity to finish Bryan off entirely...

Braun grabbed Bryan by the throat and brought him up into the air only to fling him face first into the canvas! Bryan was stunned by the Reverse Chokeslam, and as he rose to his feet he unwillingly stumbled into an awaiting Braun who scooped him up and ran forward to drill him down with a Running Powerslam. A three count later and Braun Strowman was two points richer.

Braun Strowman was shown in the center of the ring raising both arms and roaring in victory, before we cut backstage to where the camera was centered on the front faceplate of the WWE Television Championship. After a moment we panned out to see, predictably, it was on the shoulder of the champion itself - Samoa Joe.

fAOEhPs.jpg

Samoa Joe: "Last Monday, imagine my surprise to see the legendary Undertaker making it known that this upcoming RAW he intends to answer the open challenge to compete for my gold. Most men would fear a challenge of this magnitude, but me? I welcome it. Dead Man, I welcome the opportunity to add another world champion caliber performer to my list of victims. I am going to walk into RAW as the Television Champion, and I am going to walk out as champion. So please. I'm begging you. Make me famous. Raise my stock as high as you can get so that one day when the time is right I can stand at the top of this company as the top draw. Because I've spent far too much time being stuck in dead ends at commentary, held down by a 70 old man's idea of how wrestling should work. The shackles are off, and the Samoa Joe era is here. So trust me Dead Man. This Monday? You're the one who's gonna be resting in peace."

Joe glared at the camera for a moment, and rubbed his hand across his nose before walking off frame. Soon we faded back to ringside for the next A-Block match.

Randy Orton (4) Vs. Andrade (4)

A-Block Wrestling Classic Match

Andrade, and Randy Orton. Two of the most underhanded performers in WWE, and yet also two of the most successful. Andrade was a former NXT Champion, and Orton's resume spoke for itself. The two worked what was best described as a methodical match, with each man playing to his strengths just enough to get a good look at the other man for a potential opening.

Eventually the experience of Orton allowed him to get the upper hand, following a sudden powerslam. He quickly picked Andrade up and draped his legs over the middle rope so he could DDT him into the canvas to keep him dazed. Orton was starting to feel that the end was here, and the points were within his grasp.

Orton pushed Andrade off to the ropes, and waited for the rebound to catch him with the RKO. However, to Orton's surprise the faster Andrade managed to roll under his grasp, while reaching back to pull Orton down into a pinfall. The referee dove across to count the pin, giving Andrade the opening to grab Orton's tights and hook them for further leverage. A three count later and the Mexican superstar was up to six points.

Andrade knelt at the top of the ramp with his arms held out in celebration of his victory. Soon we cut backstage to where a smiling Charly Caruso was waiting in the interview area for her guest.

DwAd5nC.jpg8OiIvGV.jpg

Charly Caruso: "Ladies and gentlemen, my guest at this time is the man who this Monday on RAW will be stepping into the ring with King Corbin. Big E!"

A moment later the camera panned to the right where the largest man in the New Day stepped into frame, a serious look on his face, albeit with a slight hint of a smile on the side of his face as he glanced over at Charly.

Big E: "CHAR-LEE! Do you FEEL it? Can you see the writing on the wall?! EIGHT POINTS Charly. That's just two less than Bobby Lashley. Ya boy has a real chance of winning this block and moving on to face the winner of the A-Block. He has a real shot of winning the finals Charly. Can you see it? BIG E! WWE WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION!"

Charly paused for a moment and then simply nodded with a smile. Big E looked pleased and held his fist out to her for a quick fistbump before he continued.

Big E: "Years ago, I thought I'd never have this time. I thought Xavier and Kofi saved my career. I was content to spend the rest of my career as the muscle of the New Day, but this is my one chance. My one chance to make myself something special. My one chance to make my brothers proud. And I can't just sit back and be the muscle any more. I have four matches left. King Corbin, Jey Uso, Dolph Ziggler, and Jeff Hardy. All four men are very formidable, and I expect them to be fights. But this is MY TIME Charly. I've got the spirit of my brothers running through me, and I can't let them down. The hype train has left the station and there ain't no brakes until we make it to the gold, and make it we shall and do you know why?! BEEEEEEEEECCCCAAAAAAUUUUSSSEEEE ... New ... Day ROCKS! New Day ROCKS! CLAP WITH ME CHARLY! NEW ... DAY ... ROCKS!"

Big E clapped along as he said "New Day Rocks", and he encouraged Charly to join in - which she soon did. The two were seen laughing as the camera faded back to ringside.

Bray Wyatt (8) Vs. AJ Styles (4)

A-Block Wrestling Classic Match

AJ Styles stood in the ring waiting for the goofy music to play bringing Bray Wyatt's more laid back alter ego. When lights in the arena began to cut out one by one AJ visibly sighed. He wasn't getting THAT version of Bray tonight. This was going to be one hell of a night for the Phenomenal One. Soon The Fiend began to make his way down to the ring.

Styles immediately began the attack as Fiend attempted to get into the ring. He was trying his best to not give The Fiend any quarter - but seemingly no matter what he tried to do, The Fiend simply shrugged it off entirely. For several minutes this went on, with AJ desperately attempting to figure out what he had to do to keep this monster of a man down. That was until the referee took a minor bump. This gave AJ the opportunity to slide out of the ring, grab a steel chair, and return to the ring to crack The Fiend over the skull several times before throwing away the murder weapon. The referee finally rose back to his feet to see The Fiend laid out and a smirking AJ standing over him posing.

AJ Styles felt he had The Fiend beat. He solved the puzzle. The man was clearly KO'd in the center of the ring. He waited, licking his lips, as Wyatt slowly began to rise to his feet. Seeing his target right where he wanted him AJ leapt to the top rope and began to fly off for his Phenomenal Forearm. When suddenly Fiend shot up completely and caught AJ in midair with the Mandible Claw, slamming him forcefully into the canvas! AJ struggled momentarily, but was soon completely out. The Fiend brought him up just enough to spike him back down with Sister Abigail and get the three count - and the first man to reach double digits in the A-Block.

Kevin Owens (6) Vs. Seth Rollins (4)

A-Block Wrestling Classic Match

Owens, and Seth were no strangers to one another. They had spent plenty of time in the past at each other's throats and it was simply poetic that they'd have to make it through one another in order to earn the right to be champion. For the first few minutes of the match, the match was fairly traditional and back and forth. A mixture of technical wrestling, brawling, and some minor high flying. Eventually, Seth wanted to get the upper edge and turned to the age old strategy of cheating.

Seth managed to catch Owens off guard with a poke to the eye. Owens attempted to fight back, but he was partially blind and the arrogant Rollins slapped him hard across the face. Kevin was starting to get angry, but because he was blind he couldn't do much about it and soon found himself felled by a dropkick. Seth seemed to be setting up for a curb stomp, but as Seth was running toward him Kevin managed to shake off the blindness and shot up to catch Seth in mid air. Seth shook his head and attempted to plead for mercy.

Owens let out a primal yell before whipping Seth firmly into the turnbuckle. This stunned Rollins enough to cause him to slump down to the canvas leaning on the turnbuckle he just went into. This gave Kevin the opportunity to rush at him with a cannonball. Quickly, Owens pulled Seth to his feet and laid him out with a Stunner! A pinfall later and Owens was two points richer!

<blockquote style="border: 4px solid #FFFFFF; background: #FFFFFF; width: 900px; padding: 10px">

Owens raised his arm in victory as he made his way backstage, still very much in the running for a potential winner of the block. He would simply have to get past his remaining opponents: Daniel Bryan, Braun Strowman, and Roman Reigns to get there. Admittingly a feat easier said than done. Soon the camera faded backstage where Charly Caruso was standing waiting for her next interview subject. She was soon joined by Jey Uso.

DwAd5nC.jpgmoZ1hOr.jpg

Charly Caruso: "Ladies, and gentlemen my guest at this time is B-Block competitor Jey Uso! Now Jey, unfortunately I have to inform you that you're already mathematically eliminated, so the World Championship is no longer on your horizon, but next Monday you step into the ring with Cesaro. After that you have matches with Sami Zayn, Big E, and the undefeated Bobby Lashley on the horizon. What thoughts do you have about your chances of playing spoiler?"

For a few moments Uso remained silent, his eyes peering down at the ground. What could he say? He had been completely humiliated this entire tourney. He was the ONLY man in both blocks to have absolutely zero points. It was frustrating.

Big E: "I could sit here, and I could make all sorts of excuses. I'm a tag guy, not a singles guy. I'm in there with some of the best of the best. The sun was in my eyes. But listen, I'm better than all of that. I'm better than this. Truth is, I can't say how well I'm gonna do on those remaining matches. What kind of motivation can a man have when they know all hope is lost? I gotta win at least one match Charly. I can't go out like this. I don't know what I'm gonna do. All I can't do is give it my all."

Uso clearly looked disappointed in himself, and soon walked off camera. Charly shrugged at the camera and we faded back to ringside for our main event of the evening.

Roman Reigns (8) Vs. Drew McIntyre (6)

A-Block Wrestling Classic Match

It was a battle of two former WWE Champions. Drew McIntyre looked to be well on his way to reclaim the gold he never lost, and Roman Reigns looked to reclaim the top spot on the card that cancer took away from him. This match was a brawl from start to finish, as neither man was willing to say die. Drew seemed to have a fire in him tonight, and it drove him to actually get the upper hand and fight off the Big Dog.

Drew managed to lay Roman out with a sudden Claymore Kick! Drew went for the pin. One ... Two ... Thre---KICK OUT! Drew looked absolutely shocked! Drew rose to his feet, and attempted to pull Roman to his feet for another Claymore but Roman shook off the cobwebs and managed to dodge out of the way of the Claymore, before grabbing Drew and powerbombing him into the canvas. Both men laid there for a time, breathing heavy. Finally Roman pulled himself to his feet and waited for McIntyre to rise.

Roman dashed toward Drew and leapt into the air only to sock the tall Scotsman right in the jaw with a Superman Punch! Drew dropped like a sack of potatoes. Roman made his way to the corner and let out a roar as Drew pulled himself back to his feet only to dash out and spear McIntyre into the canvas. One pinfall later and Roman joined Bray Wyatt, and Bobby Lashley on team 10 points.

Roman Reigns' theme played through the arena speakers, as the referee brought Roman's arm into the air. After a few moments Roman gently pulled his arm away and reached down to offer Drew McIntyre a hand in rising to his feet. Drew stared at the hand for a moment, clearly frustrated in his loss - before finally reaching out and accepting it.

z0pmkVa.jpgB1Aij0l.jpg

Roman held his hand as he got back to his feet and shook it firmly, with a stern nod. He mouthed something along the lines of 'You'll get it back one day, don't stress'. Drew nodded in respect before pulling his hand away and rolling out of the ring to make his way backstage.

The final shot of the show was Roman watching Drew head backstage, looking absolutely exhausted. Three opponents remained for Roman. The Monster Among Men, Braun Strowman ... Kevin Owens ... and Bray Wyatt. Whether or not he'd be able to win the block sized up against those three remained to be seen.

<strong>Aelister Black Vs. Shinsuke Nakamura</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:left;"><p>The "Artist" Shinsuke Nakamura slowly paced around the ring, grinning at black with a mouthpiece in his mouth. Black, on the otherhand, merely sat in the corner with crossed legs staring with an emotionless look at the other man. Eventually he pulled himself up to his feet and the two men had a bit of a back and forth exchange of strikes, of which Nakamura just barely got the better of knocking Black into the turnbuckle. Nakamura placed his foot on Black's chest and shuddered with Good Vibrations, which Black slapped away his leg as if he was annoyed - but his expression remained blank.</p><p> </p><p>

Black rose once more, and the two engaged in another striking exchange leading to Nakamura slapping him firmly across the face, with another smirk soon following. It seemed like Nakamura wasn't taking the match particularly seriously.</p><p> </p><p>

Black's stoic expression didn't shift, and he attempted to swing his boot upwards to get a Black Mass, but Nakamura managed to duck under it and caught Black's leg. A moment later he flung Black backwards onto his neck with a one legged backdrop. Seeing that he had an opening, Nakamura pulled Black up to his feet and propped him up on the top rope in a laying position before rolling backwards to eyeball and line up his shot.</p><p> </p><p>

Nakamura dashed forward and slammed his knees into Black's stomach, letting him drop off the top rope to the canvas. It was here that Nakamura made a critical mistake. Rather than getting right on the attack, he waited for Black to rise to his feet and turn around so he could taunt the man with a shout of "COME ON!" Black's face remained emotionless, but as Nakamura attempted to move forward for another attack he found Black's foot slamming into the side of his jaw with a thunderous Black Mass causing Shinsuke to drop to the canvas like he just got shot. Black sat cross legged on top of Nakamura's chest as the referee counted to three.</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

<blockquote style="border: 4px solid #FFFFFF; background: #FFFFFF; width: 900px; padding: 10px"></p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:left;"><p>Black rolled off of Nakamura's corpse and slid under the ring making his way back up the ramp without a single glance backwards. Nakamura soon shook off the cobwebs and stared out at Black with a look of concern on his face, like he had just come face to face with a monster. Shortly after the camera faded backstage to where Charly Caruso was standing next to the WWE Women's Heavyweight Champion "The Queen of Spades" Shayna Baszler. Shayna proudly held the championship over her shoulder with a smug look on her face.</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:left;"><p><strong>Charly Caruso</strong>: "<span style="color:#9932CC;">Ladies and gentlemen... My guest at this time is the reigning WWE Women's Heavyweight Champion - Shayna Baszler! Now Shayna, at SummerSlam you're set to step into the ring with Kairi Sane, a close friend of the woman you defeated to win that championship, Asuka. Do you have any concerns about Asuka getting involved considering how heated your rivalry was heading into the finals of the championship tournament?</span>"</p><p> </p><p>

Shayna looked at Charly like she was talking nonsense for a moment, hinting at the mere idea of the topic annoying her ...but after a moment she shrugged it off, and her smug smirk returned to her face.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Shayna Baszler</strong>: "<span style="color:#0000FF;">Asuka isn't gonna get involved. She knows what I'm capable, and she knows she doesn't belong anywhere near that match. As for her ...little buddy? Me and Kairi have a little bit of a history. She robbed me of winning the original Mae Young Classic. I'm not coward enough to admit she beat me for the NXT Women's Championship at one point after that too. Kairi Sane has been like this gnat that's always buzzing around my head, interrupting my rise to the top of the division But that all ends at SummerSlam. I'm going to choke her out, I'm gonna end her career ...and you know something? I might just do the same to Asuka just so Kairi has to live with the fact she caused it all. Enjoy your spotlight while it lasts Kairi, because at SummerSlam I'm sinking your stupid little pirate ship to the bottom of the ocean.</span>"</p><p> </p><p>

Shayna patted the front plate of her championship belt, and then stepped off camera. Charly shrugged her shoulders at the camera and it soon faded back to ringside for the next match.</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Big E, Kofi Kingston, Jey Uso, Dolph Ziggler, and Jeff Hardy Vs. King Corbin, Bobby Lashley, Cesaro, John Morrison, and Sami Zayn</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:left;"><p>In a match where the referee should have probably been paid overtime, we saw what was essentially a god damn mess. A five group mass brawl with bodies falling in, and out of the ring at rapid intervals. As with most multi man matches with future matches on the horizon it didn't take too long before things broke down into little mini matches between the people set to fight one another the next show.</p><p> </p><p>

Due to previous history Big E, and Kofi eventually started to work together as a unit - as did Cesaro, and Sami Zayn. The two battled back and forth until Jey Uso joined the fray to turn it into three on two. The chaos continued until the only people left in the ring where Cesaro, and Jey Uso, with Uso looking like he was set to have yet another loss on his record. Elsewhere, Ziggler managed to lay out King Corbin after an exchange between then. He waved to get Uso's attention and slid into the ring behind Cesaro.</p><p> </p><p>

Ziggler managed to catch Cesaro when he wasn't looking with a superkick, right as Jey Uso was scaling to the top rope. A few moments later Jey had leapt into the air with a Superfly Splash! One three count later and Big E's team was announced the winners, providing a nice little boost of momentum going into their next tournament matches.</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>John Cena Vs. KUSHIDA</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:left;"><p>The Junior Heavyweight Champion stood across the ring from "The Face That Runs The Place" for the first time ever. There was a very clear size difference between the two, but to Cena's surprise KUSHIDA made no attempts to cower away and adopt a hit, and run strategy. KUSHIDA got right in his face and stared up at him. Cena attempted to mock the smaller man with a little "You Can't See Me", but he was met with a stiff-looking elbow that rocked Cena so hard he actually stumbled backwards and fell to a seated position on the canvas. A moment later a series of quick kicks to the side of the neck dropped Cena down to the canvas directly. Cena stared up at the lights not expecting such strength in such a small package, but eventually rolled over and pushed himself up to his feet.</p><p> </p><p>

Cena attempted to deliver a series of right hands, but KUSHIDA blocked them and responded with more of those stiff elbows, soon adding kicks to the equation until Cena was backed up against the ropes and the referee had to get between the two. The look on Cena's face showed he was not expecting this from the smaller man, and had been underestimating him. It was time for Cena to begin using his power instead - and for a time this allowed Cena to get in some offense but KUSHIDA had something that Cena recognized quite clearly ... heart.</p><p> </p><p>

Cena continued with the power strategy, but KUSHIDA did have an answer for it - speed. He was able to reverse several moves, and respond with strikes to keep Cena stunned. Cena even made a mistake when he attempted to go out of his own wheelhouse and kicked at KUSHIDA. The faster man caught his leg, and quickly threw an arm around his neck and lifted Cena into the air - admittingly with a minor struggle, to slam Cena into the canvas with Back to the Future!</p><p> </p><p>

KUSHIDA had Cena stunned! With a quick glance back he ran toward the ropes and leapt into a handspring so he could use the momentum of the ropes to propel himself backwards with a flying elbow - but Cena was not as stunned as KUSHIDA needed him to be. Cena caught KUSHIDA in mid air and flung him around, propping him up on his broad shoulders. Quickly, before KUSHIDA could react he slammed the Junior Heavyweight Champion down with a thunderous Attitude Adjustment! Cena showed the smaller man the respect of hooking his leg when attempting the pin, and the referee counted the three.</p><p> </p><p>

At least for tonight, Team Heyman's attempts to soften him up before SummerSlam were not successful.</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><span style="color:#8B0000;"><strong>Winner</strong></span><span style="color:#8B0000;">: </span><span style="color:#8B0000;"><strong>John Cena</strong></span><span style="color:#8B0000;"> in 9:48 via pinfall (Attitude Adjustment) </span><span style="color:#8B0000;"><strong>53%</strong></span></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

</blockquote></p><p>

<blockquote style="border: 4px solid #FFFFFF; background: #FFFFFF; width: 900px; padding: 10px"></p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:left;"><p>Cena glanced down at KUSHIDA, and clapped for the man showing some respect, as KUSHIDA glared at him with a frustrated look on his face. Cena rolled out of the ring and began to make his way up the ramp when the theme music of Brock Lesnar began to play leading to Brock, and his personal "adovate" Paul Heyman marching out of the dressing room. Brock intentionally walked past Cena in such a way that he bumped into him with his shoulders, with a smirk soon after. Cena and Brock stood face to face mouthing off to each other for a bit before Brock waved to Cena to get out of his face and the two made their way down to the ring where Charly Caruso had already entered the ring.</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

Heyman stepped forward and grabbed the microphone firmly out of Charly's hand and waved her away. Charly started to complain, but Brock stood between her and Paul, and she soon backed up toward the ropes and slid out quickly making her way backstage. KUSHIDA had already made his way backstage to rest, as Brock was partially out here for his match.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Paul Heyman</strong>: "<span style="color:#2F4F4F;">Ladies and Gentlemen, my name is PAUL HEYMAN... And I am the advocate for both the REIGNING. DEFENDING. UNDISPUTED. Junior Heavyweight Champion KUSHIDA, and the BEAST INCARNATE - BROCK LES-NER!. First of all, I would like to take this time to compliment KUSHIDA on his performance tonight against John Cena. Yes, you may have lost the match tonight, but you stood toe to toe with a sixteen time World Heavyweight Champion and you came THIS CLOSE to beating him. So don't feel bad. Enjoy your shower and allow Brock Lesnar to return the favor. Just as you have put Brock Lesnar's SummerSlam opponent to the test, so to will Brock Lesner put YOUR opponent to the test. And I encourage John Cena to pay close attention to this match, as Mr. Ricochet's fate will no doubt mirror your own. At SummerSlam Brock Lesnar is going to make you regret getting involved in our business, and he will do so with a smile on his face. So... Ricochet? I invite you to step into this ring and face the BEAST that awaits you.</span>"</p><p> </p><p>

Heyman dropped the microphone and kicked it out of the ring, before dropping down and rolling out of the ring. Brock kept his eyes locked on the top of the stage, and began to do his little hop dance as he waited for Ricochet to make his way down for their match.</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Brock Lesnar Vs. Ricochet</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:left;"><p>In what was a very clear anti-thesis to the previous match, Ricochet was quick to use his superior speed to attempt to hit, and run from Lesnar. He did everything he could to keep out of Brock's grasp to avoid those chained German Suplexes, and to Ricochet's credit Brock was having a lot of trouble fighting him off. Even when Brock finally grabbed Ricochet from behind the beast was flabbergasted to find Ricochet had landed on his feet somehow and pushed Lesnar face first into the turnbuckle with a dropkick.</p><p> </p><p>

Ricochet continued the working strategy, knowing that a good chunk of his signature moves simply wouldn't work against a man of Lesnar's size. At least not without a significant struggle. Eventually Ricochet managed to rock Lesnar with an unblocked spinning springboard European uppercut. Lesnar looked completely out of it, and dropped down to the canvas like he just got knocked out!</p><p> </p><p>

Ricochet stumbled back against the ropes. The camera caught a look of panic on Paul Heyman's face, as it looked like Lesnar was actually hurt. Thinking quickly Ricochet leapt to the top rope and dove back with the People's Moonsault! The referee counted the pin... ONE! ... TWO! ...THR-Paul Heyman got up on the apron, causing the referee to pause his pin and approach to demand Heyman get off the canvas.</p><p> </p><p>

<img alt="Yjse6gK.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Yjse6gK.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

Suddenly KUSHIDA slid into the ring and pulled Ricochet off of Brock, and drilled him into the canvas with Back to the Future! KUSHIDA lightly slapped the side of Brock's face to wake him from his daze, and rolled out of the ring, leading to Heyman also climbing down once the coast was clear. Brock rose to his feet, and pulled up Ricochet before drilling the man down with an F5. Unfortunately for Ricochet, there was nobody stopping this three count and it wasn't long until Brock Lesnar was the victor.</p></div><p></p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><span style="color:#8B0000;"><strong>Winner</strong></span><span style="color:#8B0000;">: </span><span style="color:#8B0000;"><strong>Brock Lesnar</strong></span><span style="color:#8B0000;"> in 10:05 via pinfall (F5) </span><span style="color:#8B0000;"><strong>64%</strong></span></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

</blockquote></p><p>

<blockquote style="border: 4px solid #FFFFFF; background: #FFFFFF; width: 900px; padding: 10px"></p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:left;"><p>Lesnar, and KUSHIDA stood over Ricochet's body with Heyman clapping with a sinister grin on his face before the camera faded backstage to where Jey Uso was getting checked by a medical staff member after the five on five contest earlier. Cesaro soon stepped into the ring as it was his turn next for his post match checkup.</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

</p><p><img alt="moZ1hOr.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/moZ1hOr.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="Hqm5EYS.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Hqm5EYS.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:left;"><p>When Cesaro saw who was there he simply smirked and got right in the other man's face. Uso kept his eyes down toward the floor as despite the fact he got the win earlier Jey was still somewhat down on himself and was seemingly ready to be taunted.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Cesaro</strong>: "<span style="color:#8B0000;">You must be pretty happy with yourself, eh Uce? You finally managed to get a win ... with four other guys helping you, after Ziggler jumped me from behind. But we both know it doesn't mean anything. You can't get it done when it matters, can you? Look at me when I'm talking to you jabroni.</span>"</p><p> </p><p>

Cesaro suddenly slapped Uso harshly across the face, causing the doctors to jump back. Uso rubbed his jaw and looked at Cesaro with an annoyed expression on his face. Cesaro slapped him a second time! Finally it seemed like Jey Uso had just about enough of this and soon lunched off of the doctor's bed and tackled Cesaro to the floor where he began punching the Swiss Superman repeatedly in the face! The medical staff ran out to get help as Uso continued the attack like a man possessed until referees spilled into the room and pulled him off of Cesaro.</p><p> </p><p>

Spooked Cesaro stumbled backwards and ran out of the room. The camera remained on Uso's glaring face before cutting back to ringside for the next segment.</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Samoa Joe © Vs. The Undertaker</strong></p><p>

<strong>WWE Television Championship</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:left;"><p>"The Samoan Submission Machine" stood half crouched and ready as the Dead Man began to approach him. There was no beating around the bush with this match. The two men quickly began throwing right hands, and soup bones at once another with seemingly neither man showing quarter. Eventually Taker's strikes began to land more frequently, forcing the champion to stumble backwards. But when Taker attempted to rush forward with a shoulder block, Joe responded in kind with a clothesline dropping the dead man to the canvas.</p><p> </p><p>

Joe attempted to dive onto Taker's body with a senton, but the Dead Man sat up at the last second forcing Joe to miss completely. He grabbed Joe's head a moment later and locked him in his Takin' Care Of Business submission hold, but Joe managed to turn his body just enough to land a series of elbows to Taker's side. When Taker was stunned enough Joe grabbed the other man around the waist and drilled him backwards with a backdrop. Joe lined up his shot and attempted to dash forward and kick Taker right in the chest but to his surprise Taker caught his foot in mid kick, and rose up before shoving Joe back and knocking him on his butt with a big boot!</p><p> </p><p>

Taker reached down and pulled Joe back to his feet before goozling him signaling for a choke slam. However, when he attempted to lift Joe, the submission specialist slid behind him and locked in a Conquina Clutch! Taker, however, was not about to go out like that. He backed up against the ropes, forcing the referee to break the hold. Joe released the hold, but before Taker could turn around he pulled Taker forward against the ropes and rocked him with a series of elbows to the side of the face leaving him momentarily stunned. Joe backed up a few steps, with a plan in mind.</p><p> </p><p>

Joe rushed at Undertaker as he leaned against the ropes attempting a clothesline, which Taker partially deflected but it got him enough so that both men went sailing over the top floor and crashed to the floor before. The referee began to count. One! Two! Three! Joe began to stir, and pulled at the apron to try to pull himself to his feet. Four! Five! Six! The Undertaker suddenly sat up, and rose to his feet beating Joe to his feet. Seven! Eight! Taker moved over to Joe attempting to grab the man to throw him back into the ring so he wouldn't lose his chance at the title, but Joe reversed and attempted to throw him into the announce table. </p><div style="text-align:left;"><p>The referee got in the middle of the two, as both men argued with him about costing them the opportunity to beat the other man. It seemed like nothing was going to be solved, when suddenly the Titan Tron sprang to life and shown on the video screen was none other than the CEO of WWE - Triple H!</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:left;"><p>Triple H cleared his throat to get the attention of both men, and the audience at the arena and both Joe, and Taker ceased their shouting so they could turn to see what the CEO had to say.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Triple H</strong>: "<span style="color:#008000;">Joe. Dead Man. You were in the midst of a hell of a match, and I think I speak for everybody when I say the conclusion was absolutely unsatisfying. You didn't beat Joe, so he retains his championship tonight - but Joe? You didn't beat him either, so I think there's cause for a rematch. However, I said that every week was going to be a new opponent, and a new opportunity. So here is what we're going to do. Next week Samoa Joe is going to be putting his championship on the line against The Undertaker ...AND a mystery opponent!</span>"</p><p> </p><p>

Joe looked somewhat annoyed at the fact he had to defend against two different people, but looked otherwise satisfied. Undertaker seemed satisfied with this as he was going to get his chance to see who the better man was.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Triple H</strong>: "I wish the both of you luck next week, but I advise you to not forget about the third person. One way or another we WILL have a winner next week."</p><p> </p><p>

Triple H's theme pumped out of the speakers again, as Joe and Taker made their way backstage and next week's RAW becoming just that much more stacked on top of whatever block matches happened to take place that evening.</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Bray Wyatt (10 points) Vs. Seth Rollins (4 points)</strong></p><p>

<strong>A-Block Wrestling Classic Match</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:left;"><p>"The Messiah" looked at The Fiend with a bit of very clear concern. Thus far, with the exception of Kevin Owens, Wyatt was seemingly completely unstoppable. So Seth attempted to take a different strategy, as he rolled out of the ring and grabbed a microphone to try to stall for time until he could catch the big man off guard.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Seth Rollins</strong>: "<span style="color:#008080;">Listen big man, we don't have to do this.</span>" Seth cautiously slid back into the ring, and held his hand out to Bray. "<span style="color:#008080;">We are both the pinnacle of this industry, Bray. But lets be honest here. We're so close to the end, and you know maybe my chances of winning the block are all but gone but I want you to consider the fact that you've still got Randy Orton, and Roman Reigns after me. Two tough people to beat, right? You're gonna need all the strength you can get to beat them, so I propose a deal. You lie down and let me pin you and earn two points. When I beat AJ, and Andrade we'll be tied for ten. You'll go on to beat Orton, and Roman and win the block but you'll allow the Messiah of the WWE to have a strong showing in the points. What do you say?</span>"</p><p> </p><p>

Wyatt stared at him with a slightly tilted head like a confused dog, before suddenly lunging out and shoving his hand down Rollin's throat with a Mandible Claw as Seth's eyes went so wide they nearly bugged out of his head. Seth flailed wildly, before going with the desperation attack of kicking The Fiend square in the groin out of view of the referee.</p><p> </p><p>

Seth bounced off the ropes and planted his foot firmly into the back of The Fiend's head drilling him face first into the canvas with a curb stomp! Rollins laughed as if it was all a foregone conclusion, but that look soon turned to absolute horror as The Fiend rose to his feet as if he never was struck at all. In complete disbelief Seth did the only thing he could think of... he kneeled and begged Wyatt for mercy. Unfortunately he would find none as Wyatt quickly drilled him into the canvas with Sister Abigail. A three count later and Bray was the proud owner of twelve points.</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>AJ Styles (4 points) Vs. Andrade (6 points)</strong></p><p>

<strong>B-Block Wrestling Classic Match</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:left;"><p>Andrade and AJ Styles stared at once another across the ring, with a look of respect. Both men were tremendous high flyers, with a mixture of technical prowess. They didn't wrestle exactly the same, but they shared similar principles. They began with a bit of a test of strength, resulting in them both reversing out of it in various fashions until they both stood staring at one another once more.</p><p> </p><p>

Soon both men attempted to one up one another when it came to high speed attacking, but it seemed as if Andrade had the advantage in this situation and it lead to him becoming slightly cocky and he dove into the ropes, gripping it to simple "lounge" in the ropes as he stared at Styles. Styles smirked and looked at the referee to mouth something along the lines of 'can you believe this crap?'. Andrade pushed off of the ropes and soon went on the attack, this time going into a striking exchange. This time Styles got the upper hand, just barely. He was unable to take advantage of his victory, however, as Andrade quickly stunned AJ with a sudden dropkick to the knee forcing AJ to stumble back and adjust his kneepad with his back turned to Andrade.</p><p> </p><p>

Andrade attempted to rush at Styles to clothesline him from behind, but Styles swung his leg backwards behind him with a leap stunning Andrade with a Pele! AJ kipped up and quickly grabbed Andrade's head pulling him in to pose, and prepare for the Styles Clash! A moment later he nailed it, and rolled Andrade into a pin for the three. AJ Styles joins Andrade at team six points.</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><span style="color:#8B0000;"><strong>Winner</strong></span><span style="color:#8B0000;">: </span><span style="color:#8B0000;"><strong>AJ Styles</strong></span><span style="color:#8B0000;"> in 15:18 via pinfall (Styles Clash) </span><span style="color:#8B0000;"><strong>63%</strong></span></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

<blockquote style="border: 4px solid #FFFFFF; background: #FFFFFF; width: 900px; padding: 10px"></p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:left;"><p>Just as AJ Styles was standing in the ring posing after his victory, the commentary began to talk about something going on backstage. We soon cut back to where the camera caught a shot of Kairi Sane diving off of a set of production crates backstage to deliver a stiff-looking elbow to Shayna's jaw while yelling at her in Japanese.</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

</p><p><img alt="QS2tMQC.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/QS2tMQC.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="lKU3KqH.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/lKU3KqH.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

Kairi chased Shayna down the hallway as she stumbled down the hall. It seemed like this was not a good night for bullies who had a history of attacking people from behind, as both Shayna and Cesaro had it handed to them this evening. Turns out threatening to end the career of a friend was Kairi's hot button.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Roman Reigns (10 points) Vs. Braun Strowman (4 points)</strong></p><p>

<strong>A-Block Wrestling Classic Match</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:left;"><p>Braun glared out at Roman, who was more than happy to glare right back at him. Soon they stepped right up to one another and began sending right hands back and forth, turning this match into a pier six brawl. Eventually the superior strength of Strowman allowed him to get the upper hand to where he could firmly shoulder butt Roman down to the canvas.</p><p> </p><p>

Roman glanced up at Braun, with a nod and a slight chuckle. A kind of "Oh so that's how it's gonna be" laugh. Roman rose back up to his feet, and the two once again began to brawl back and forth. This time Roman managed to get the other hand and lifted Braun into the air only to slam him down to the canvas with a spinebuster-esq motion.</p><p> </p><p>

Braun's reaction to being knocked down was far less ...jovial. He mouthed curses, and rose to his feet and rushed at Roman clearly letting his anger get the better of him. Roman ducked under an attempted clothesline and shoved Braun forward toward the ropes before rushing over to punch him right in the jaw with a Superman Punch.</p><p> </p><p>

Roman rushed forward and leapt into the air to sock Braun right in the side of the jaw, with a second Superman Punch! This was enough to drop Braun to one knee. Roman backed up in the corner and let out a primal roar before rushing forward and spearing the man down to the canvas entirely. A pinfall later and Roman Reigns had joined Bray Wyatt in being tied with twelve points.</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Daniel Bryan (4 points) Vs. Kevin Owens (8 points)</strong></p><p>

<strong>A-Block Wrestling Classic Match</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:left;"><p>Earlier in the tournament these two men formed something of a mini alliance to attempt to fight off the sinister force known as The Fiend, but tonight they were finally forced to stare across the ring from one another as opponent. However, being as both men were faces they weren't going to forget their earlier alliance and the match began with the two approaching one another in the center of the ring and fist bumping before backing up to move into their ready positions.</p><p> </p><p>

Daniel Bryan was a technical specialist, and that was his bread and butter where as Kevin Owens was closer to being described as an all arounder. This allowed Bryan to reverse Owen's attempts at offense to lock him into various submission holds. Owens, however, was no slouch in the wrestling department as well has having superior strength to Bryan and he was able to get himself out of Bryan's submissions. Eventually Owens attempted to set up for a Pop-Up Powerbomb, but Bryan managed to reverse it with a Hurricanrana before jumping up and bouncing off the ropes to return with a flying clothesline to take Owens down to the canvas and give himself a wide opening.</p><p> </p><p>

Bryan crouched in the corner as Owens knelt in the middle of the ring. He began moving his arms up with fingers pointed getting the crowd to chant "YES", with his movements getting faster and faster with every passing moment before he launched out in attempt to drill his knee right into the face of Kevin Owens with Knee Plus! Owens saw it coming out of the corner of his eye and ducked under it. Bryan rose to his feet but Kevin was already ready with a kick to the gut, followed by a sudden stunner! A three count later and Kevin Owens had earned ten points!</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><span style="color:#8B0000;"><strong>Winner</strong></span><span style="color:#8B0000;">: </span><span style="color:#8B0000;"><strong>Kevin Owens</strong></span><span style="color:#8B0000;"> in 15:14 via pinfall (Stunner) </span><span style="color:#8B0000;"><strong>63%</strong></span></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

<blockquote style="border: 4px solid #FFFFFF; background: #FFFFFF; width: 900px; padding: 10px"></p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:left;"><p>The two men nodded at one another respectfully before Bryan made his way backstage allowing Owens to celebrate in the ring for a few moments. Eventually we cut backstage to where "King" Baron Corbin was sitting in a throne backstage.</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

</p><p><img alt="tJdaSOi.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/tJdaSOi.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:left;"><p>Corbin looked into the camera, after setting down his royal scepter so he could address his lowly subjects - that being the viewing audience.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>King Corbin</strong>: "<span style="color:#696969;">Week in, and week out I see Big E and his punk friends talking about how much they're just gonna waltz in and win the entire B-Block. They're talking about how it's Big E's time. But Big E you forget yourself. This Friday on SmackDown you are going to be stepping in the ring with a KING. I am going to crush you like the bug you are, and punch you in your stupid mouth so we don't have to hear you yelling about how much you rock anymore. The dream of a New Day World Champion ends on Friday. This is my royal decree, and my rule is absolute.</span>"</p><p> </p><p>

Corbin smirked at the camera and leaned back, picking his scepter up once more and returning to the pose he was in when the show first cut to this segment. The camera panned out to reveal a stage hand, dressed humiliatingly like a peasant, was in the process of painting him - no doubt bullied by Corbin earlier in the evening.</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Randy Orton (4 points) Vs. Drew McIntyre (6 points)</strong></p><p>

<strong>A-Block Wrestling Classic Match</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:left;"><p>Drew McIntyre had a firm serious, and focused expression on his face after a disappointing loss to Roman Reigns on SmackDown. Orton, on the other hand, had a more cautious expression on his face as he sized up Drew, trying to predict what he was going to do. Orton was one of the best in the business, but his luck in this tournament had not been exceptional thus far and the dream of winning the A-Block was rapidly starting to fade before his very eyes. The two locked up after a few moments, and Orton reversed into a hammerlock but Drew managed to reverse it and shove him away.</p><p> </p><p>

Orton licked his lips, and rose up to once again lock up with Drew. Randy shifted his weight to get the advantage and dropped at such an angle to slam Drew over his own back to force him to stumble to the canvas. Orton quickly DDT'd him to the canvas after that. Orton started to lift Drew, but McIntyre grabbed him once he stood and suplexed Orton to the canvas. Back and forth the two went for several minutes, exchanging a mixture of basic wrestling moves and some brawling.</p><p> </p><p>

Drew suddenly dropped Orton to the canvas with a sudden big boot, causing The Viper to coil away for a moment. Randy rose back to his feet and the two locked up again. This time Randy hooked Drew's leg with his own and shoved him down to the canvas firmly before quickly applying a headlock to try to wear Drew down. He held it on until Drew looked a bit dazed and then suddenly pulled Drew up and draped his legs over the ring ropes to DDT him once more into the canvas!</p><p> </p><p>

Orton rolled and dropped down to the canvas. He began punching the wood gently with his fist as he waited with eyes locked on his opponent, waiting for Drew to rise up to his feet. Drew slowly struggled to his feet and Orton lunged out and leapt to attempt to drill Drew to the canvas with the RKO! However, Drew managed to shove him off forcing Randy to crash unceremoniously to the canvas. Meanwhile Drew had already shrugged off his daze and rushed to the ropes to catch Orton as he attempted to stand up with a Claymore Kick directly to the face! Orton was out cold! Drew hooked his leg for the pin and a three count later he had eight points and the victory in this main event match!</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

<blockquote style="border: 4px solid #FFFFFF; background: #FFFFFF; width: 900px; padding: 10px"></p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:left;"><p>The referee raised Drew McIntyre's hand into the air as the crowd cheered at the former champion's victory. McIntyre soon dropped down and rolled out of the ring leaving Orton still knocked out in the center of the ring, and returned backstage. The camera returned to ringside where Orton was starting to shake off the cobwebs and sat up ...when suddenly the lights around him started to slowly go off one by one with a sharp sound effect each time a section of lights went off.</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:left;"><p>Orton looked up as the lights in the arena shut out entirely only to be replaced by a red spotlight. Orton knew what this meant and pushed himself up to his feet preparing to deliver an RKO at any moment to an unseen enemy. He turned around when THE FIEND lunged from the shadows and applied the Mandible Claw, completely smothering the already weakened Orton until Randy was once again out on the canvas with the final shot of the show being a laughing Wyatt as he held the move on.</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

Following the traditional show opening with a pyro display we cut to the ring where Triple H is standing in the center. To both his right, and his left are display podiums where the WWE World Tag Team Championship belts are displayed.

nj74FZX.jpg

Triple H: "Welcome everyone to SmackDown Live!" A brief pause given to let the crowd cheer. "Now, before we get started I think we need to talk about the WWE World Tag Team Championship. Now thus far we've yet to put them on the line as between The Wrestling Classic, and the WWE Women's Heavyweight Championship tournament there just hasn't been a spare moment to focus on them. It's no secret that when 'The American Dream' Dusty Rhodes was still alive he was a major component of NXT, with a particular focus on helping to develop that brand's tag team division. This is why his memory was honored with the addition of the Dusty Classic."

The crowd naturally would begin to cheer for Dusty, as they're one to do when a legend is mentioned. They soon quieted down, and Hunter continued.

Triple H: "Dusty Rhodes was an ideas man. He could make a nobody into a star just by seeing that one little thing they were missing and pulling it out of them. I intend to honor Dusty once again by reviving an idea Dusty once created for World Championship Wrestling, albeit with some tweaking. That concept was known as the Lethal Lottery. What is the Lethal Lottery you might ask? Well, I think most fans would agree that if WWE had a weakness under Vince McMahon's rule it's that Vince never thought much about the tag division. The company had very few tag teams to build a company around. So the idea is this ... a multi-team single elimination tournament, but the catch is the teams are randomly drawn during the first round, and it's up to the members of each team to make it work."

Triple H paused for a moment to let the crowd process what he had just said, as well to let some initial cheering for the new to most fans concept to fade out.

Triple H: "Maybe you, and your partner won't get along but you're both skilled enough to win the championship and get that big pay day ... or maybe you and a total stranger will realize you are natural partners and you'll become one of the biggest teams in the business. Time will tell. Of course I also have to address the elephant in the room - what about already established teams? Well starting this Monday on RAW I will give established teams the chance to compete against each other. The winning team gets to remain a team in the tournament. The losing team? Both of their names are tossed in the random draw. Assuming they get drawn to begin with. I wish you all luck, and look forward to seeing some great new teams be born."

Triple H's music hit the speakers, and the CEO soon left the ring with commentary buzzing over the potential randomly drawn teams. They did add, however, that this tournament will only be open to male superstars and that only the WWE Television Championship is inter-gender for the company.

Kairi Sane & The Undertaker Vs. Samoa Joe & Shayna Baszler

In a match that was designed to be a preview of two upcoming big name championship matches, we had fairly even ring time for the two match combos, with a slight lean on letting the girls show their stuff with Undertaker, and Joe providing them a bigger spotlight. The finish came when Kairi Sane managed to stun Shayna with an elbow to the face, dropping her to the canvas and allowing Kairi enough time to climb to the top rope and deliver the Insane Elbow. Meanwhile The Undertaker, and Samoa Joe brawled on the outside, and continued to do so after the bell had rung.

The referee slid out of the ring and got between Taker, and Joe who ceased their brawling and instead stood there talking trash at each other. Suddenly all of the lights in the arena began to fade, prompting commentary to ask what was going on. Soon the theme song of Aelister Black began to play, as he rose like the dead from the top of the stage which was mysteriously covered in mist. Joe, and Taker looked up at him with puzzled expressions and he slowly sat down on the top of the stage indian style, pulling a microphone out of his jacket pocket.

8oRESbE.jpg

Aelister Black: "Samoa Joe. Undertaker. Very few men would dare to put themselves between you. Very few men would be able to supress the fear that would run down their spine at the very idea of it. But I'm not most men. For months, and months I've been asking for somebody to be bold enough to come to me and demand a fight, and nobody has truly taken me up on it. My mistake was being stationary. Waiting for opportunity to come to me - but this Monday Night on RAW? I intend to claim opportunity directly. I will be the third man in your triple threat match, and when it's all said and done both The Undertaker's desires to once again hold championship gold, and Samoa Joe's championship reign will fade to black."

Black's music once again began to play, as Black rolled backwards and walked off stage. The camera soon cut to the different expressions of his opponents. Joe seemed grumpy about it, and was pointing up at the now empty ramp and ranting. Undertaker, however, seemed intrigued with Aelister Black.

In a match designed to preview both next Friday night's Roman Reigns vs. Kevin Owens, as well as Daniel Bryan vs. Drew McIntyre matches we saw a pretty back and forth match, with neither team getting a significant advantage over the other. As to be expected the match mostly comprised of mini bouts between the two upcoming bouts. The finish came after Roman Reigns managed to stun Kevin Owens, leading to Daniel Bryan catching the stunned competitor with his Knee+, with got the three for Roman, and Bryan. A much needed win for Bryan at that.

We cut backstage shortly after the conclusion of that match where we find Ricochet knocking on a locker room door marked John Cena. After a moment the door opens and Ricochet, and the camera steps inside. Ricochet extends his hand to Cena, whom takes it and quickly shakes it with a smile.

iOe6hiU.jpgA9Ucne9.jpg

Ricochet: "Hey man. I just wanted to thank you for having my back with KUSHIDA, and Lesnar. I was hoping KUSHIDA still had enough integrity to make it a one on one affair, but well..."

John Cena: "I've dealt with Paul Heyman, and Brock Lesnar before. They're worms, and devious ones at that. I can only imagine the kind of things they're putting in KUSHIDA's head, and unfortunately so far it's gotten him success so he has no reason to not listen. Now, I can't guarantee you a win over him when it counts, but I can make sure you're not gonna lose because Lesnar attacked you."

Ricochet: "That's fair. I'll make sure KUSHIDA doesn't cost you your match like he did The Undertaker either. It's a shame. KUSHIDA used to be a fighter. One of the best. And now he's ... well... A Paul Heyman guy. All I can hope is I knock some sense back into him when I pin him at SummerSlam and take his gold."

John Cena: "Sounds good. You focus on your championship match, and I'll make sure you make it there in one piece. And hey, maybe if this alliance works out ... who knows, maybe we'll see each other in the Lethal Lottery."

Ricochet nodded in response and patted John on the shoulder before stepping out of the locker room, and the camera faded back to ringside.

Before we finished out the show with our main event match for the evening, we found ourselves backstage in an interview room where a very stoic looking Randy Orton was prepared to give a statement concerning the attack laid upon him by The Fiend at the conclusion of this past Monday's RAW.

oHUGjkv.jpg

Randy Orton: "Bray Wyatt, I see the real you. I know what you're really like. Behind all of these masked theatrics, and your puppets there is still the man that allowed me to once infiltrate his family, and burn his shack to the ground. Now, I was content to just leave you be - we would have been strangers passing in the night after our match, but that wasn't enough for you, was it Bray? You had to jump me from behind, and attempt to take me out before our match. Honestly Bray? I respect it. I'd do the same thing if I were you ...and considering we still have a show between now and our match? Maybe, just maybe I will. Maybe I'll attack you backstage, and I'll kick you in the skull so you're not even medically cleared for our match. Pinfall. Submission. Countout. Disqualification. ...forfeit. It's all the same to me Bray. It's two points on my scoreboard. I can't win the block anymore, but I can sure as hell make sure you don't either."

The camera slowly zoomed in on Orton's face, focusing entirely on his cold stare. It seemed likely that The Fiend was going to find out that a cornered viper was quite dangerous.

Bobby Lashley (10) Vs. Kofi Kingston (4)

B-Block Wrestling Classic Match

The story of this match centered upon the arrogance Bobby Lashley had been developing. He was undefeated thus far in the tournament, and MVP had helped him believe himself to be completely, and utterly untouchable. So much so, that Bobby paid no mind to the fact he was in the ring with a former champion, and arguably one of the most successful performers in WWE history. The finish came when Lashley stopped a barrage of high impact power moves to lean over the ring ropes and talk trash about Kofi to MVP, which gave Kofi enough time to recover and knock Bobby loopy with a Trouble in Paradise. This stunned the big man enough for Kofi to secure a shock three count and keep things tied between Bobby, and his friend Big E!

As expected Bobby Lashley did not handle his lost well, and as MVP slid into the ring the two men quickly began to double team Kofi, who was still tired after a hell of a battle.

Bobby and MVP slid out of the ring to get a table with the clear intention to put Kofi through the table and potentially injure him before any of his further tourney matches as punishment for putting a blemish on the perfect record but thankfully Kofi had an ally in the wings...

Big E ran down to the ring and slid in quickly shoulder blocking MVP out of the ring. He helped Kofi up and two stood ready to double team Bobby Lashley, who opted to back up against the ropes and then drop down and retreat under the guise of helping MVP to the back.

Firstly, a big thanks to anybody who's been reading this dynasty. Being that it's my first attempt at one of these I understand there's a bit of a feeling out process as I get a style that works best for me - so with that in mind I was hoping to get a bit of constructive critique/advice.

Do you prefer it when...

1) Matches, and Promos are fully written out with in depth play by play

2) Matches are somewhat simplistic written, with focus on promos a'la WWE.

3) Matches are simplistic, except feud ending matches with have in depth play by play.

Obviously since y'all are the ones who have to read it - I want to make this as digestible as possible. So if you have an opinion, or advice and it's constructive rather than "lol you suck mate", then I'm all ears.

RAW opens with C.E.O. Triple H standing in the ring. Beside him there is a rolling cage commonly used in random bingo draws. In this case it is filled with balls containing the names of every male WWE superstar on the roster.

nj74FZX.jpg

Triple H: "Ladies and gentlemen ... Welcome to Monday Night RAW! Tonight we begin the drawing to determine which superstars are going to be randomly put together and given an opportunity to win a tournament to become the first WWE World Tag Team Champions of this new era. Additionally tonight we will have two matches where current teams can fight for the right to remain a unit going into the tourney. These matches will be The Viking Raiders stepping into the ring against Heavy Machinery, and The Street Profits will step into the ring with Paul Heyman's clients KUSHIDA and Brock Lesnar! Now, without further ado lets draw our first team..."

Hunter turned his attention to the rolling cage and spin it around a few times before reaching in and removing two of the balls which he soon cracked open, and glanced at the names before he continued.

Triple H: "Our first team to enter the Lethal Lottery Tag Team Championship is as follows ... First we have MATT RIDDLE! And his tag team partner will be none other than ... AELISTER BLACK! An impressive team to be sure. The next team will be drawn on SmackDown. Good luck to the teams fighting to survive tonight."

Triple H's music hit the speakers, leading to the man dropping down to slide out of the ring. We cut backstage to where a room full of superstars were talking about what happened with Black, and Riddle nodding respectfully at one another.

You deserve better. So listen. Triple H? We don't have a champion right now for me to cash in my Money in the Bank briefcase on, so if you're willing I want to cash in my briefcase on a spot in this Lethal Lottery Championship Tournament to ensure myself, and Tuckie get an opportunity."

Otis held up his MITB briefcase and stared up at the Titan Tron waiting. Eventually HHH appeared looking as if he was slightly confused by the sudden decision.

Triple H: "Otis, once you cash that briefcase in on something it's gone. So if you end up losing in the first round that's it. Your guaranteed championship opportunity is gone. Are you sure about this? Well, if this is what you want - considering you don't qualify for the women's, or junior heavyweight divisions - and I'm not going to expect you to cash in on a championship you can just come out and accept an open challenge on, such as the TV Championship ... I will grant your request. As of right now Heavy Machinery will be entered into the Lethal Lottery officially as a unit, and your Money in the Bank briefcase will officially become null and void. I wish you both luck in the tournament."

Before we could return to ringside, however, we were treated to footage of AJ Styles walking backstage to an unknown destination. Suddenly, however Seth Rollins and Murphy appeared from a room and began to jump the Phenomenal One!

Seth and his henchman left AJ clutching his ribs and coughing in the corner. Clearly the strategy was to weaken the man before Seth and AJ could compete on SmackDown. But would it be enough to get Seth higher on the scoreboard?[/left]

Sami Zayn (6) Vs. Dolph Ziggler (6)

B-Block Wrestling Classic Match

In our second B-Block match we had a battle of equal scoring opponents. The finish came when Sami managed to stun Dolph long enough near the corner to follow up with the Helluva Kick, bringing Sami Zayn to 8 points on the B-Block scoreboard.

Returning to the promo area, we see Daniel Bryan shaking off some of the soreness related to his earlier tag contest. He soon glanced up at the camera and began to speak.

Daniel Bryan: "There was a time where I stood tall as the main event of this company, with the overwhelming support of the WWE Universe by my side. I admit I let that popularity get to me, and I ruined it by turning away from the light for a time - and I'll admit it, I'm still recovering from that. I'm still finding my place back on the mountain. Maybe it's too late for me to win this tournament, but I will be back with a vengeance. Friday I step into the ring with Drew McIntyre, the former WWE Champion. Drew I respect you quite a bit, and you're gonna be a challenge - but I'm going to make you tap out."

Bryan nodded firmly to the camera, before it faded back to ringside for our next B-Block match.

Cesaro (6) Vs. John Morrison (4)

B-Block Wrestling Classic Match

Our third B-Block match pitted Cesaro against John Morrison, with Cesaro leading in points. Morrison attempted to get the upper hand on Cesaro, but a low blow stunned Morrison long enough for Cesaro to deliver the Neutralizer and get the pin to push him to 8 points.

We return to the promo room one last time for the evening where "the Big Dog" Roman Reigns is waiting to speak his mind about his upcoming match with Kevin Owens.

z0pmkVa.jpg

Roman Reigns: "Kevin Owens, you've done damn well in the A-Block so far. Hell, you're almost caught up to me, and Wyatt. But earlier tonight I speared you, and pinned you. The same thing is gonna happen on SmackDown. I know you're gonna make it a fight, and I'm looking forward to that. But nothing is stopping me from claiming the gold. Nobody. Believe that."

Roman cocked his arm like a gun, and we soon faded to ringside for the next match.

King Corbin (6) Vs. Bobby Lashley (10)

B-Block Wrestling Classic Match

If there was a word to aptly describe our fourth B-Block match it would be "massacre". Bobby Lashley, clearly still pissed off about his loss to Kofi Kingston earlier in the tournament just brutalized Corbin for ten minutes, with Corbin struggling to fight the bigger man off. Eventually Lashley mercifully ended it with a running powerslam to tie Big E at 12 points.

The theme song of "The Undertaker" began to play as the ring introductions for the triple threat WWE Television Championship match began. Moments passed with no sign of Undertaker. Soon we cut backstage to where Taker was frantically looking for his motorcycle which seemingly was no longer where it was meant to be parked. Frustrated, Taker turned around to begin walking to the ring when he found himself face to face with Bobby Fish who debuted earlier tonight. Fish had a smirk on his face, and Taker looked at him confused.

jb0TsGe.jpgatVh9Kj.jpgisyo6qO.jpg4pic40X.jpgvoOevI8.jpg

Suddenly unknown to Undertaker, three more men began to approach behind him: Roderick Strong, Kyle O'Reilly, and Adam Cole! It seemed as if Fish's generic music earlier in the night was meant to throw the WWE off from what was coming. The four circled around Undertaker before lunging into an attack. Taker tried to fight the four off, but the superior numbers soon got the better of him and they left Taker down and out. Pushing some production crates away it was revealed the bike was simply hidden from view. Cole grabbed the keys to the bike from Taker's pocket and climbed on, with Roddy sitting behind him and the two drove off while Fish, and O'Reilly held Taker down to force him to watch.

The former ReDragon once more laid the boots to Taker until several referees arrived to get between them and Taker. Fish, and O'Reilly slowly walked away with smug satisfied grins on their face. A referee held up an X hand sign and mentioned that Undertaker was not fit to compete and was hereby eliminated from the triple threat match.

The Undisputed ERA had arrived ... but why The Undertaker?

Samoa Joe © Vs. Aelister Black

WWE Television Championship

Despite the fact one of their opponents was suddenly, and viciously removed from the match - neither Samoa Joe, nor his challenger Aelister Black seemed phased by it. They were simply too focused on each other, and after a long back and forth drag out brawl, it was the defending champion that managed to lock in the Coquina Clutch and get his fourth title defense down.

B-Block Wrestling Classic Match

Our main event pitted the equally matched Kofi Kingston, hot off the momentum of ending the undefeated streak of Bobby Lashley, against the colorful and charismatic Jeff Hardy. The two engaged in a fairly even contest until Kofi managed to keep up his momentum via nailing Trouble In Paradise to bring himself up to 8 points.
