TCW Presents Total Wrestling:

Flying Jimmy Foxx defeated Yuri Yoshihara in 6:14 (45)

Roderick Remus defeated Dean Daniels in 7:22 (50)

-Neither high flyer really has any momentum here, so we threw them both minor victories here.

Mighty Meaty and Joffy Laine defeated Benny Benson, Maverick and Matt Hocking in 10:05 (69)

-Perfectly acceptable match that could have been on the main show. Mo looking the star out there.

Human Arsenal defeated Raphael in 7:24 (57)

-Raphael is in consideration for a call up to the main roster - however him being completely off his game did not help his chances.

Aaron Andrews and Sammy Bach defeated Troy Tornado and Davis Wayne Newton in 8:36 (76)

-Great match, great chemistry between the heels. I can work with that.

MAIN SHOW:

We opened the show with Aaron Andrews with his title. He said that in TCW you had to prove yourself in the ring, but Wolf Hawkins was trying to do it with lawyers. That brought Hawkins out who said that the title shot was rightfully his, whether Andrews liked it or not. The champion told Hawkins that he didn't like it, but the TCW lawyers agreed - he was still entitled to his title shot at Total Mayhem. That brought Jay Chord out, furious that Wolf Hawkins had jumped to queue. The two looked as if they were about to fight, when Andrews told them that he had a solution for everyone - at TCW Total Mayhem he would his defend his title in a Triple Threat match against both Wolf Hawkins and Jay Chord... and to ensure it was finished between them, the match would take place in a steel cage (99)

The Syndicate (Joshua Taylor and Eddie Chandler) defeated Devine Fortune in 8:06 (72)

-Joshua Taylor has wrestled main show! Sure, it was the curtain jerker, but it was a good match, and the main show is where he should be back for a while.

Jay Chord cut a backstage promo to declare that there would be no advantages in a cage in Total Mayhem, and he would prove himself to be The Chosen One. He warned Hawkins to keep out of his way in tonight's Main Event, as he had it under control (86)

High Flyin Hawaiian defeated Marc Speed in 7:17 (64)

-Marc Speed recovered from his broken nose just in time to have a match against "the man who broke his nose". A normally focussed Speed was anxious to protect his face, and was put away with a Pacific Crush.

Wolf Hawkins was backstage with The Syndicate, telling the world that Aaron Andrews was scared, hiding in a cage, but there would be nowhere to hide from him (84)

Freddy Huggins and Pretty Okakura defeated Cougar Stone in 9:58 (79)

-Big win for Okakura, although it helps that Freddy Huggins is the hottest wrestler outside the three men competing for the Wold Heavyweight Title. A spot fest, but a good one, with Huggins pinning Masked Cougar.

The cameras followed Freddy Huggins as he searched for Sammy Bach, telling the veteran that he was unequivocally proving that he was the top high flier in TCW. Bach told Huggins that he was impressed by Pretty Okakura - but he was one of plenty of youngsters out there ready to take that self appointed crown that Huggins has claimed (81)

Doc Hammond defeated Nate Johnson in 6:56 (60)

-I always knew that at least one dark match would be better than this, but it made sense that this match between the two ex-Syndicate members was on the main show - even if there was little heat behind it, and it turned into a routine win for Hammond.

The Behemoths and Chris Flynn defeated Bart Biggins, Elliot Thomas and Donny Fonzarelli in 6:47 (55)

-This match was also never going to break the ratings, especially as we let Killer Shark get some domination in. It was Chris Flynn who got the victory, making an already beaten Thomas submit to the Flynn-Lock.

Floyd Goldworthy called out Mighty Meaty after the match, and challenged them to a match at Total Mayhem. Tana asked how many times they had to face The Behemoths, but Goldworthy said that they had got it wrong - the challengers were Eddie Peak and Chris Flynn. Mighty Mo smiled, and accepted that challenge (68)

Mainstream Hernandez defeated Greg Gauge © by disqualification in a TV Title match in 13:56 (84)

-Wow. Mainstream Hernandez easily pulled off his best match as he went after Greg Gauge for the TV Title. However, in a move which is surely affecting the prestige of the title Greg Gauge once again used the brass knuckles, and was once again caught for the disqualification.

One Man Army flew out after the match, and had clearly had enough. He grabbed a chair and chased Gauge around the ring, before the youngster made a quick exit (70)

Aaron Andrews came down to the ring to tell everyone that he would be joining the commentary team for the Main Event, and would get a look at his Total Mayhem opponents close hand (84)

Wolf Hawkins and Jay Chord defeated Dazzling Dave Diamond and T-Bone Bright in 11:41 (80)

-The faces make a good team, which considering they'll be teaming up at Total Mayhem has worked out well. They got in plenty of offense as the heels struggled to work together, both trying to show the other heel how good they were. Eventually they worked out that tagging properly would work better, and worked well from there before Hawkins pinned DDD after a Full Moon Rising.

Hawkins and Chord faced off after the match, tension still there, and there was neither a fight of a handshake, as Wolf Hawkins left Jay Chord standing there (83)

Post Show:

In our first post show segment, The Behemoths were out after the Hawkins / Chord / Andrews left, to attack T-Bone Bright and Dazzling Dave Diamond. In case you wanted to know who they would face at Total Mayhem.

The heat from the show is all coming from the run up to the Main Event at Total Mayhem, but there are other good matches on the card. The TV Title match was fantastic, whereas earlier in the show the high fliers are impressing. We've got 5 matches on the Total Mayhem card that we are well set up for, and three... I might have to crowbar them in over the next couple of shows.

Nina Cacace is said to be devastated after it was announced that Tom Townsend, who she recently started dating, passed away suddenly.

<span style="color:#0000FF;">Mainstream Hernandez and Joffy Laine defeated Ground and Pound (Quentin Queen and Raphael)</span> in 6:54 (58)</p><p>

-Given the poor state of our tag division, it wouldn't be too surprising if the HGC Tag Champions did come up as a team, and they got in a decent match where they did as well as Joffy Laine did. Laine did get the pin on Queen with a Death Spiral.</p><p> </p><p>

<span style="color:#0000FF;">Tana the Mighty defeated Nick Booth</span> in 6:22 (62)</p><p>

-A surprisingly reasonable match, ending with Tana splashing Booth.</p><p> </p><p>

<span style="color:#0000FF;">Freddy Huggins, Greg Gauge and Pretty Okakura defeated Flying Jimmy Foxx, Seth Whitehead and Arthur Dexter Bradley</span> in 7:52 (68)</p><p>

-Great high flying action, with Huggins standing out above the rest of the wrestlers.</p><p> </p><p>

<span style="color:#0000FF;">Bart Biggins and Elliot Thomas defeated Roderick Remus and Yuri Yoshihara</span> in 6:49 (51)</p><p>

-Two very cold teams, the faces getting a tiny bit of momentum.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>MAIN SHOW:</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Jay Chord came out to start the show, calling out Wolf Hawkins. Jay Chord told Hawkins that if he was sensible, he could have worked out that if they work together they could eliminate Aaron Andrews, and then fight for the title between themselves. Hawkins told Chord that sounded simple - until Chord decided to switch sides. Chord told Hawkins that it didn't matter to him - he would win, with him or without him, and threw the microphone down at Hawkins feet (91)</p><p> </p><p>

<span style="color:#0000FF;"><strong>Sammy Bach and High Flying Hawaiian defeated Benny Benson and Marc Speed</strong></span> in 8:37 (71)</p><p>

-High Flyin Hawaiian was not on his game during this one, althought the faces did build up momentum through this match and never looked like losing. Hawaiian did pin Speed after a Pacific Crush.</p><p> </p><p>

Freddy Huggins came to the stage with a microphone and that he was impressed by Hawaiian - he wasn't on his level, but he was young and athletic - everything Sammy Bach once was, and pretended to still be. Huggins told the duo to get ready for Total Mayhem, and he would show them a move or two to remember (83)</p><p> </p><p>

Aaron Andrews cut a promo backstage, noting that Chord was trying to team with Hawkins. Andrews told Chord to remember that Hawkins is unable to work alone - he's always got The Syndicate around him. At Total Mayhem Hawkins will be in a cage without his allies, and Chord really needed to think if he wanted to play to Hawkins strength - getting other people to do his dirty work for him (84)</p><p> </p><p>

<span style="color:#0000FF;"><strong>T-Bone Bright defeated Nate Johnson</strong></span> in 5:52 (66)</p><p>

- Two bonus matches, and Johnson wasn't winning this - Bright getting the win with a T-Bone Powerslam.</p><p> </p><p>

<span style="color:#0000FF;"><strong>Doc Hammond defeated Maverick</strong></span> in 6:04 (66)</p><p>

-Another match, again one sided before Hammond brought out the Exploder Suplex.</p><p> </p><p>

<span style="color:#0000FF;"><strong>Human Arsenal defeated Davis Wayne Newton</strong></span> in 7:43 (62)</p><p>

-I've purposely moved DWN away from Huggins while he goes on about being the best high flier around, but in his singles matches since he hasn't blown me away. He still needs to be a little more known, and was defeated after an Ammo Dump</p><p> </p><p>

Troy Tornado came out after the match, and he was great on mic. He approached DWN and told him that he looked lost - unfocussed. Troy Tornado said that he had helped Jay Chord into a title shot - he sees Newton as a rising star that he can help take in that direction (59)</p><p> </p><p>

<span style="color:#0000FF;"><strong>Chris Flynn defeated Danny Fonzarelli</strong></span> in 3:53 (55)</p><p>

-Very quick match, Flynn winning with a Flynn-Lock - this was actually better than I thought it was going to be (low expectations and all).</p><p> </p><p>

<span style="color:#0000FF;"><strong>The Behemoths defeated Devine Fortune</strong></span> in 7:27 (56)</p><p>

-Killer Shark was made to look strong, taking out Chance Fortune with a Big Bite. The face is now 40 years old now, with only a couple of weeks left on his contract, and I need to work out if he gets a renewal or not.</p><p> </p><p>

Dazzling Dave Diamond and T-Bone Bright came out and showed the audience footage of The Behemoths attack on them after the main event last week. They challenged The Behemoths to a match at Total Mayhem, and said that they would get their revenge (76)</p><p> </p><p>

<span style="color:#0000FF;"><strong>One Man Army defeated Matt Hocking</strong></span> by disqualification in 8:10 (68)</p><p>

-Hocking has noticeably bulked up, and had a good contest with One Man Army. Which was completely ruined when Greg Gauge came into a ring with a chair to take out One Man Army.</p><p> </p><p>

Gauge struck One Man Army twice me, and when Hocking tried to intervene he also earned himself a chair shot. Mainstream Hernandez interrupted with a microphone, to tell Greg Gauge that he needs to think about what he's doing. Everyone knows that Gauge likes to use anything that wants to help him out, or deliberately get disqualified to keep his title. Hernandez said that at Total Mayhem that will be fine - because it will all be legal when Gauge has to defend his title in a hardcore match (77)</p><p> </p><p>

<span style="color:#0000FF;"><strong>Jay Chord defeated Mighty Mo</strong></span> in 9:10 (75)</p><p>

-These two don't click at all - so all things considered the match wasn't too bad. Jay Chord did struggle with Mighty Mo's size, and took a couple of near falls, but eventually took Mo out with a Cradle Piledriver.</p><p> </p><p>

The Syndicate were together backstage, Hawkins telling his cohorts that everyone wanted to stop them, but they will show them all how good they are as a team now(70)</p><p> </p><p>

<span style="color:#0000FF;"><strong>The Syndicate defeated Aaron Andrews and Cougar Stone</strong></span> in 12:03 (81)</p><p>

-Aaron Andrews was teamed with a worker who is still relatively unknown (Masked Cougar), so it wasn't a huge surprise that this was one of the few matches that Aaron Andrews was to lose. He was outside fighting Wolf Hawkins at the time, when Eddie Chandler submitted Masked Cougar with the Fabulous Stretch.</p><p> </p><p>

Aaron Andrews rushed into the ring but just failed to break up the pin, when Wolf Hawkins grabbed Andrews ankle and dragged him out. The two fought again before Jay Chord came out from the back... and joined in with Hawkins against Aaron Andrews. The two heels worked together, hitting a double chokeslam onto a ring barrier, before staring at one another as the show ended (82)</p><p> </p><p>

The evolution of a match - the TV Title match for Total Mayhem was originally going to by Greg Gauge vs One Man Army. Then Mainstream Hernandez was added as the story developed, and then Matt Hocking bulked up and is looking amazing, so also got added to the match.

Aaron Andrews' injury wasn't picked up at the TV show, it was actually the day after at a House Show. Hopefully he'll be fully fit before Total Mayhem (although he can work through it), as I need a good rating as I'll be in the National Battle at the end of the month, and after after last month's poor PPV rating it won't take much to push me back down to medium size.

Ernest Youngman just pulled off an 80 rated match with Acid II in PSW. It can't be long before a big company come calling (hey, I'm one of them, aren't I?).

TCW Presents Total Wrestling:

Chris Flynn defeated Arthur Dexter Bradley in 6:23 (52)

-A little momentum for Flynn before his Tag Title shot on Sunday.

Tana the Mighty, Bart Biggins and Elliot Thomas defeated Marc Speed, Nate Johnson and Yuri Yoshihara in 7:58

-No surprise that Yoshihara took the pin here, against the slightly odd selection of faces.

Doc Hammond defeated Roderick Remus in 6:46 (65)

-Decent showing from the Doc, who has slightly underwhelmed since his awesome match at the last PPV.

MAIN SHOW:

Aaron Andrews started the show, bandaged up from the attack by Wolf Hawkins and Jay Chord last week. Andrews said that he had not been cleared to wrestle tonight, but he would be fit for Sunday, and he would be taking revenge. It didn't matter if Jay Chord and Wolf Hawkins teamed or not - there was only one person who could win, and he intended to walk out as champion. That brought out Wolf Hawkins, who told Andrews that it was all rhetoric - Andrews was an injured man, too weak for a cage match, and probably even unable to climb out of the cage. Next out was Jay Chord, and he announced that there would be no winner by escape - the cage was just to make sure the match was settled in the ring, and the match would only be won by pinfall or submission - and he would be the winner (97)

High Flyin Hawaiian defeated Pretty Okakura in 7:43 (65)

-We started off with some great high flying action as the two youngsters went all out at one another. They exchanged every move that they had, and when Okakura complained about a slow count he opened himself up to a Pacific Crush.

Freddy Huggins cut an interview backstage, saying that he enjoyed what he just saw, and would enjoy teaming with Okakura against Bach and Hawaiian. However, it would show him as the top star, just like he would show himself as a star when he fought in the main event (72)

Benny Benson defeated Darryl Devine in 6:08 (64)

-We found a gap in this schedule, and filled it with a perfectly adequate match.

Wolf Hawkins was shown backstage with The Syndicate, telling Joshua Taylor to make an example of Edd Stone in advance of their match with Cougar Stone at Total Mayhem. Jay Chord interjected himself, telling Hawkins to focus, as they had to team with Freddy Huggins in the Main Event, and he colleagues won't be any help on Sunday (queue stares) (84)

Mighty Mo defeated Nick Booth in 4:43 (59)

-Nick Booth must be a little annoyed - he would love to be in Chris Flynn's position of getting a tag title shot, but instead jobs to a Plunging Spinebuster here.

The Tag Team Champions, Mighty Meaty, got some hype for their title defence, telling The Sinner Society that it didn't matter who they put in front of them - they would continue to knock back all challengers (68)

One Man Army and Mainstream Hernandez defeated Greg Gauge and Matt Hocking by disqualification in 12:54 (75)

-An obvious match to put on, but I really didn't want either side to lose this match. As such it was incredibly even, with finishers broken up, and a nice preview for Sunday. Of course, with it being a hardcore match on Sunday the match broke down - Greg Gauge brought out the Brass Kunckles, which were ripped out of his hands by One Man Army. Matt Hocking brought in a chair and used it, completely ignoring the ref who called for the bell as the commentators reminded us this was all legal on Sunday.

Troy Tornado defeated Human Arsenal in 9:12 (57)

-Urgh, two veterans taking it slow, not really delivering quite the rating that I wanted. Davis Wayne Newton was ringside to assist Troy Tornado, and tripped Arsenal at a vital point to allow Tornado to deliver a Star Maker.

Andrews was shown backstage with Sammy Bach, Dazzling Dave Diamond and T-Bone Bright. Bach told Andrews that they had his back tonight - they knew their foes were dangerous, but would get revenge for their attack last week (87)

The Behemoths defeated Danny Fonzarelli and Joffy Laine in 5:22 (54)

-The Behemoths got in a decisive beatdown of the faces, Joffy still yet to pull himself out of the talented jobber role.

Eddie Peak and Floyd Goldworthy hyped up Peak and Flynn's tag team title shot - could this be the time for Peak to take gold in TCW? (68)

Joshua Taylor defeated Edd Stone in 9:11 (76)

-It would have made a lot of sense to have Masked Cougar take this loss instead of Stone, but with Andrews not wrestling I wanted to make sure this match worked. And it did. Stone went for the hit and run attacks that were very effective, which frustrated Taylor. However, the larger man started to take over, and eventually made Stone tap to the Butterfly Lock.

After the match Taylor refused to release the Lock, and when he did Eddie Chandler arrived to slap on the Fabulous Stretch. By the time Masked Cougar was out the damage had been done (66)

Aaron Andrews came out to join the commentary team for the Main Event. They asked him if he was safe by the ring, to which Andrews said he may be hurt, but Hawkins and Chord needed to be more worried about their safety (86)

Wolf Hawkins, Jay Chord and Freddy Huggins defeated Sammy Bach, Dazzling Dave Diamond and T-Bone Bright in 14:57 (84)

-T-Bright was a little off his game, but it was hard to notice in a fabulous, completely overbooked match, that also had Joshua Taylor, Eddie Chandler, Masked Cougar, Edd Stone, High Flyin Hawaiian and Pretty Okakura join a mass outside brawl. The ref took a lenient view, and decided to ignore everything that happened outside the ring, but that included the face team getting mixed up in the brawl outside the ring, allowing Hawkins and Chord to double team Bright to take the victory.

After the match Hawkins left the ring and started screaming in Aaron Andrews' face, calling him an injured liability at the end of his reign. Andrews took it silently, before he flipped out and slammed Hawkins onto the floor. Hawkins looked around to Chord for help, but Chord just shrugged and left, as Andrews grasped his hurt shoulder (99)

I booked the last two matches as strong as possible to take into account Andrews not wrestling, a formula that bought me my best show ever. I'm happier with how the PPV has been set up - let's hope it delivers (as the National Battle may hurt...).

Tana the Mighty was hot on High Flyin Hawaiian - well, so am I. Darryl Devine was once again taken to the wrestlers’ court - is he getting a little ole and grumpy? His tag partner, Chance Fortune, gets a six-month extension, but surprisingly it's a handshake deal that will allow him to work elsewhere.

The bad news - Aaron Andrews is still carrying his injury going into Total Mayhem.

TCW Total Mayhem XXIV PREVIEW:

It all comes to a head at Total Mayhem XXIV, as World Heavyweight Champion Aaron Andrews defends his title against King of Kings Wolf Hawkins and "The Chosen One", Jay Chord in a steel cage. The champion will have his back against the wall, injured before the match even begins, and it will be hard to see how he could possibly retain his title. However, his opponents know that they cannot trust one another, and this one really could go in any direction.

Meanwhile, it may have been 11 years since Eddie Peak last held the TCW Tag Team Titles, but he's challenging for them once again, teaming up with Chris Flynn, who the Sinner Society poached from The Syndicate. Is now the time for him to reclaim gold?

Greg Gauge has been a fighting champion since winning the TV Title - but his disregard for the rules may have caught up with him as everything will be legal on Sunday, and he faces three men eager to take the title off him. Newcomer Mainstream Hernandez, veteran One Man Army and the rejuvenated Matt Hocking have promised to give everything in their shot at the TV Title.

Elsewhere and it's tag matches galore, in four very different matches. Freddy Huggins has insisted that he is the king of the high fliers, and will try and prove it with Japanese sensation Pretty Okakura against Sammy Bach and High Flyin Hawaiian. Brawling with be the focus as Dazzling Dave Diamond teams with T-Bone Bright to face The Behemoths, while rookie Davis Wayne Newton will want to make a mark teaming with veteran Troy Tornado, against the equally as experienced Human Arsenal and Doc Hammond. Finally Cougar Stone have proved to be a promising team in the last few months, but will have their hardest test of all when they face The Syndicate members Joshua Taylor and Eddie Chandler.

The card looks stacked from top to bottom - tune in on Sunday to see what happens, and is Aaron Andrews can walk out of the biggest Pay Per View of the year carrying his title.

<p><em>Sorry for the delay, been a little (or lot!) busy. Although I've got a buffer of shows written, as this was Total Mayhem I wanted to make a little more effort on the presentation. Finding the time to sit down and format this has not been easy, so it's still pretty basic.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>TCW Total Mayhem XXIV:</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="color:#0000FF;">Marc Speed, Maverick and Roderick Remus defeated Danny Fonzarelli, Joffy Laine and Flying Jimmy Foxx</span> in 8:30 (54)</p><p>

-None of these wrestlers have won much recently, which made it really difficult for the crowd to get behind. There was plenty of talent in the ring though, with Speed putting in a decent performance.</p><p> </p><p>

<span style="color:#0000FF;">Bart Biggins and Elliot Thomas defeated Nate Johnson and Yuri Yoshihara</span> in 7:38 (45)</p><p>

-Four more men who can't normally win - if I care about Yoshihara, tagging him with someone experienced like Johnson might be a good plan. But do I care?</p><p> </p><p>

<span style="color:#0000FF;">Benny Benson defeated Chance Fortune</span> in 7:49 (56)</p><p>

-Passable singles match - the only one of the night, oddly.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>MAIN SHOW:</strong></p><p> </p><p>

We started off with a video for the PPV, focusing on Andrews talking about fighting through the pain, while pictures of him being attacked by Wolf Hawkins and Jay Chord flashed through. The champion looked focused, and declared that he would fight through anything to retain his title - and when they are locked in a steel cage, Hawkins and Chord need to be afraid (99)</p><p> </p><p>

<span style="color:#0000FF;"><strong>Doc Hammond and Human Arsenal defeated Troy Tornado and Davis Wayne Newton</strong></span> in 15:30 (58)</p><p>

-We actually lengthened this match a bit, which turned out to be a bad idea when DWN strained his bicep. Fortunately, he had veterans in the ring who were able to cover for him well, and it was Tornado who had to tap to a Cloverleaf from Hammond.</p><p> </p><p>

<span style="color:#0000FF;"><strong>Dazzling Dave Diamond and T-Bone Bright defeated The Behemoths</strong></span> in 8:57 (65)</p><p>

-Did I know that the face team had good chemistry? I would have thought they would have teamed before but can't remember it being a thing. The Behemoths have come off their monster push and are now doing what hosses do when they start to lose - struggle to look a threat. Bright pinned Titan after a T-Bone Powerslam.</p><p> </p><p>

Jay Chord was interviewed backstage and said that he knew it was every man for himself - he and Hawkins have teamed to weaken Andrews, but he knows that he will have to win tonight on his own. But there was only one man who had been chosen to win tonight - Jay Chord, The Chosen One (85)</p><p> </p><p>

<span style="color:#0000FF;"><strong>One Man Army defeated Greg Gauge ©, Mainstream Hernandez and Matt Hocking</strong></span> to win the <strong>TCW TV title</strong> in a hardcore match in 16:47 (64)</p><p>

-I am beginning to fear for the main event as we got a second injury in this match. Gauge chose the brass knuckles, Hocking the chair, Hernandez the ladder, OMA... his body. All the men were brutalised, but there was always another competitor to break up the pin so the match could continue. Mainstream Hernandez splashed Greg Gauge through a ringside table to eliminate both men, that left Hocking and OMA in the ring - and a Guided Missile through the chair onto Hocking gave OMA the victory, although he was clearly struggling with his neck after the match as he raised his new title.</p><p> </p><p>

Freddy Huggins and Sammy Bach exchanged barbs as they argued over who had the high-flying skills to call themselves the best in TCW (75)</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<span style="color:#0000FF;"><strong>Sammy Bach and High Flyin Hawaiian defeated Freddy Huggins and Pretty Okakura</strong></span> in 13:40 (69)</p><p>

-After the last match we asked the competitors for a high-flying spectacle - but neither Sammy Bach or Pretty Okakura really seemed quite with it tonight. Huggins did look the star out there but kept showing off to the crowd which gave his opponents time to recover. High Flying Hawaiian was much more ruthless, quickly pinning Okakura after a Pacific Crush as Huggins jawed away at Bach.</p><p> </p><p>

The Tag Team Champions came out to hype their title defence, telling The Sinner Society that they were ready to knock down the next obstacle in their path (70)</p><p> </p><p>

<span style="color:#0000FF;"><strong>Mighty Meaty © defeated Eddie Peak and Chris Flynn</strong></span> to retain the <strong>TCW Tag Team Titles</strong> in 9:13 (78)</p><p>

-Actually, this match wasn't too bad at all. I mean, Mighty Mo did stand out as a star, but the others all kept up with him, even the again Peak. We tried to make Flynn look as good as possible, and it was Peak who took the pin from Mo after two Plunging Spinebusters.</p><p> </p><p>

Dazzling Dave Diamond and T-Bone Bright were shown going into Aaron Andrews' dressing room, and asking how the champion was. Andrews said that he had felt better - but he will feel even better tonight when he takes out Chord and Hawkins (87)</p><p> </p><p>

<span style="color:#0000FF;"><strong>The Syndicate (Joshua Taylor and Eddie Chandler) defeated Cougar Stone</strong></span> in 15:50 (85)</p><p>

-Wow, now this was a match. Cougar Stone kept up with their opponents, looking a well-oiled unit. There were numerous near falls before both faces got caught in submission moves, and it was Masked Cougar the legal man who tapped to Taylor's Butterfly Lock.</p><p> </p><p>

Wolf Hawkins celebrated backstage with The Syndicate, and told them he would bring back the gold next (85)</p><p> </p><p>

<span style="color:#0000FF;"><strong>Wolf Hawkins defeated Aaron Andrews © and Jay Chord</strong></span> to win the <strong>TCW World Heavyweight Title </strong>in a Cage Match in 31:58 (91)</p><p>

-91!! Imagine what this could have been if Andrews hadn't been injured and I hadn't limited his involvement. That came about through the heels teaming together to break open the cage door, trap Andrews arm in it, before throwing him out and locking the cage. As an odd heel vs heel match took place in the ring, Andrews tried to climb the cage. He was clearly struggling with his injured arm, and his opponents in the ring were quite happy to use the other person as a weapon to make Andrews fall. Next Andrews tried propping a ladder up to climb in, but the heels teamed up to push the ladder away, sending Andrews crashing out. Many thought that would be the end of Andrews' involvement, but he recovered and set up a ladder near the cage. He climbed to the top of it and waited as the heels fought. Jay Chord hit a piledriver on Wolf Hawkins, and as he went for the pin Andrews jumped onto the top of the cage and leapt onto Chord with a gigantic Flying Body Press. Andrews slowly went for the pin, but Hawkins recovered to break the pin, deliver a Full Moon Rising on Andrews and win the title!</p><p> </p><p>

Hawkins quickly climbed to the top of the cage and celebrated with his new title, as his opponents slowly pushed themselves up (83)</p><p> </p><p>

<p></p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="OOQzEMK.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/OOQzEMK.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

National Battle - won that. We have a great show to thank for that, despite working around Aaron Andrews injury. Hawkins won the TCW World Heavyweight Title for the fourth time, taking him level with Sam Strong. Meanwhile One Man Army took the TCW TV Title, his first title since the TCW International Title was retired and he failed to become the inaugural champion,</p><p> </p><p>

Elliott Thomas really does get some love backstage - Joel Bryant and Joshua Taylor both telling me he's deserving of a push. If only he didn’t look so... ordinary. Dazzling Dave Diamond was more interested in High Flying Hawaiian...er ... I know?</p><p> </p><p>

Our profit went over $2 million, with Andrews merchandising going over $1 million. I really could offer what I wanted to as contracts, but I won't (not just because if I slip back to medium I'm going to take a hit). We did, however, upgrade the training facilities at TCW School of Wrestling to the maximum level.</p><p> </p><p>

Given that's effectively the end of season, here's a quick summary of TCW:</p><p> </p><p>

(in order)</p><p>

<strong>Major Stars:</strong> Wolf Hawkins, Aaron Andrews, Jay Chord, Freddy Huggins, Sammy Bach, Joshua Taylor</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Stars:</strong> Tana the Mighty, T-Bone Bright, Dazzling Dave Diamond, Mighty Mo, Doc Hammond, Greg Gauge</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Well Known:</strong> Eddie Peak, Human Arsenal, Titan, Mainstream Hernandez, Floyd Goldworthy, Killer Shark, Edd Stone, Vita, Eddie Chandler, One Man Army, Laura Huggins, Benny Benson</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Recognisable:</strong> Troy Tornado, Bart Biggins, Danny Fonzarelli, Chris Flynn, Chance Fortune, Flying Jimmy Foxx, Nate Johnson, Matt Hocking, Marc Speed, Maverick, Darryl Devine, High Flyin Hawaiian, Roderick Remus</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Unimportant:</strong> Elliott Thomas, Dean Daniels, Masked Cougar, Nick Booth, Joffy Laine, Davis Wayne Newton, Pretty Okakura, Yuri Yoshihara</p><p> </p><p>

Clearly there are some people being pushed beyond their popularity right now. It does seem like at some point in the future Mighty Mo will get a singles run, and I had toyed with the idea of a Tana the Mighty / Elliot Thomas little and large tag team. Tested that on the house circuit though - no chemistry. I came into TCW knowing I had to rebuild the tag division and... I've broken up The Elite and Benny & The Foxx. Maybe not a success...</p><p> </p><p>

I've gone in for several signings off other companies and do have two more to come in the upcoming month after Mainstream Hernandez and High Flying Hawaiian. However, it's all midcard levels - the upper cards have proved too expensive (I know I can afford it, but I'm frugal!). I was looking to splash out to bring Edward Cornell to TCW, and was happy to break the bank, but by the end of the negotiations USPW were offering a 4 year $140k a month deal with Creative Control for someone only known in the US as "Tommy Cornell's brother", and I couldn't match that.</p><p> </p><p>

At HGC the stars are El Hijo Del Neutron, Phillipe LaGrenier (HGC #1 Contender), Quentin Queen (HGC Tag Team Champion), Raphael (HGC Tag Team Champion), Alistair Shufflebottom (HGC Global title holder), Arthur Dexter Bradley and Seth Whitehead. Pink Spider, Haranobu Kobayashi and Razan Okamoto have joined on handshake details (Spider and Kobayashi having left ZEN and PGHW - Okamoto is still also with BCG).</p><p> </p><p>

Hmm, El Hijo Del Neutron has appeared in each of the Top 11 matches in HGC. I think he's ready...</p>

Since J.K. Stallings returned to TCW and installed an unknown booker, a lot has changed. The build to Total Mayhem was disrupted by Wolf Hawkins being allowed an early title shot, then somehow arranging to keep his title shot at TCW's premier event. The traditional multi-man match set for Battlegrounds to set up Total Mayhem was binned completely, even though The Syndicate were an easy set up for one side. This all came after the TV Title, which was introduced less than a year ago to only be defended on TV shows, was suddenly defended on every Pay Per View. Meanwhile, a weak Tag Team division was decimated further by the break up of Benny & The Foxx and The Elite.</p><p> </p><p> However, what we have seen is some superb matches at the top of the card. Aaron Andrews and Wolf Hawkins have always been able to deliver, but Jay Chord is now right up there in that bracket. Meanwhile, Freddy Huggins is having a breakout year, and putting on some great matches as TCW introduces more high flying action to the weekly shows.</p><p> </p><p> To support this, Mainstream Hernandez, High Flyin Hawaiian and Japanese wrestler Pretty Okakura have been brought into TCW, and are proving their worth. TCW have also brought in Masked Cougar, Davis Wayne Newton and Joffy Laine to bolster their roster - the former proving a promising tag team with Edd Stone, but the latter looking like he might need a trip to development.</p><p> </p><p> Some of the existing talent has been sidelined - notably Roderick Remus, Danny Fonzarelli, Maverick and Marc Speed. The Behemoths have also taken a few losses recently, and the next couple of months could define whether or not they have a long-term future.</p><p> </p><p> TCW have looked to bolster their roster further, notably trying to bring Edward Cornell in. That was not to be, with the deep pockets of USPW securing his services. That will be interested to keep an eye on. Even with J.K. Stallings money, TCW are still working to a budget, and refuse to get involved in bidding wars with long term risks.</p><p> </p><p> After Total Mayhem is where we are traditionally introduced to new storylines and wrestlers, but the assumption is that the shows will still be booked around Aaron Andrews and Wolf Hawkins. HGC have been delivering quality matches, and it would not be surprising to see some of their talent, such as El Hijo Del Neutron and Alistair Shufflebottom, called up to the main roster. As ever, the tag team division requires a major overhaul, so Ground and Pound might come up soon, but that division definitely needs work.</p><p> </p><p> Overall, the future seems bright for TCW - Total Mayhem was one of the top shows by any company this year, and the talent on the roster is plain to see. Greg Gauge looks ready for a push to the main event, but the top of the card is very heel heavy, so it seems more likely that Dazzling Dave Diamond or T-Bone Bright might be pushed in that direction first.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> <strong>TCW Presents Total Wrestling:</strong></p><p> Devine Fortune vs Troy Tornado and Del Neutron</p><p> Sammy Bach vs Benny Benson</p><p> Mighty Mo vs Chris Flynn</p><p> Doc Hammond, Human Arsenal and Mainstream Hernandez vs Marc Speed, Maverick and Roderick Remus</p><p> T-Bone Bright vs Killer Shark</p><p> Joffy Laine vs Greg Gauge</p><p> Cougar Stone and Flying Jimmy Foxx vs The Syndicate</p><p> Dazzling Dave Diamond vs Jay Chord</p>

TCW Presents Total Wrestling:

Titan defeated Danny Fonzarelli in 5:03 (50)

-The Behemoths haven't got a huge amount of momentum, so Titan got a little here against someone with even less heat.

Matt Hocking defeated Dean Daniels in 7:24 (54)

-Decent chemistry here, but only one winner with the Hock Drop from the man who has recently bulked up.

Tana the Mighty defeated Nate Johnson in 5:21 (37)

-You'll be pleased to know that awful chemistry was the main cause of this, but Tana was also off his game, and it was just... awful.

High Flyin Hawaiian defeated Nick Booth in 7:26 (60)

-It's all about chemistry and the pre-show today - this time great chemistry that really made the match.

MAIN SHOW:

The new champion Wolf Hawkins came out, showing off to the crowd, bowing to them and milking the limelight. Eventually he took to the microphone to declare that he was back in his rightful place as Heavyweight Champion of the world. He told the crowd that they were lucky enough to see the coronation of a new champion... but he was interrupted by Aaron Andrews. The former champion, bandaged up, told Hawkins that no-one came to see a coronation. Hawkins screamed at Andrews that he was trying to ruin his time - but he will be officially anointed champion later if not now, and when the rest of The Syndicate came out Aaron Andrews held up his hands and backed off (99)

The Syndicate defeated Cougar Stone and Flying Jimmy Foxx in 10:45 (79)

-A step down from the matches these men were involved in on Sunday (apart from Foxx who has gone missing from PPVs), but decent nonetheless, with Hawkins ordering his comrades around. If you thought that Foxx was the one who was getting the pin you'd be correct, falling to a Full Moon Rising.

Aaron Andrews cut a promo backstage, saying that although hurt, he was always around to battle for his title, and if Hawkins thinks that he had won the war he is certainly mistaken (83)

Mighty Mo defeated Chris Flynn in 7:33 (74)

-After Flynn fell at the opportunity to take that Tag Team Titles on Sunday, he got some singles action where he was allowed a chance to shine. Before falling to a Plunging Spinebuster.

As Chris Flynn went backstage he was met by Eddie Peak and Floyd Goldworthy. Goldworthy tried to encourage the youngster, but Eddie Peak looked angry, and told The Society that he needed to take action (68)

Doc Hammond, Human Arsenal and Mainstream Hernandez defeated Marc Speed, Maverick and Roderick Remus in 9:22 (69)

-A bit of a who's who of wrestlers not booked tonight. The faces took the victory, with Hammond making Remus submit to the Texas Cloverleaf.

Backstage and Troy Tornado was with Davis Wayne Newton, who was also carrying an injury from Total Mayhem. Tornado told the youngster that he had another young talent who he would team with tonight - El Hijo Del Neutron (48)

Troy Tornado and El Hijo Del Neutron defeated Devine Fortune in 6:55 (57)

-Chance Fortune's short contract renewal is designed for this - putting over younger talent, taking a pin from Del Neutron after a Neutron Bomb.

One Man Army cut a backstage promotion. He was also battle-scarred from his battle at Total Mayhem, but held the TV Title and said that it was worth it, and he would make his title defence in a rematch with Greg Gauge next week (67)

Greg Gauge defeated Joffy Laine in 7:01 (70)

-We all know that Greg Gauge is talented, but Joffy Laine also showed the talent made TCW sign him. If only they had found a decent use for him. Still, a quality match, with Laine tapping to the Proton Lock.

T-Bone Bright came out for his match, and Killer Shark came out with both Eddie Peak and Floyd Goldworthy. Peak got into a pushing match with Bright, before the ref split them up for Shark's match (72)

T-Bone Bright defeated Killer Shark by disqualification in 6:23 (72)

-A remarkable lack of selling as Bright and Shark slugged it out in the ring, but Eddie Peak was determined to make an impact, and eventually just brought a chair in and struck Bright with it.

Bright tried to fight back, but Peak delivered the Peak of Perfection onto the chair to make his mark (67)

Sammy Bach defeated Benny Benson in 11:51 (77)

-These two men put on a great bout, with Benson getting a couple of near falls before Bach put him away with a Bach On Your Back.

Freddy Huggins came out with a mic as Bach celebrated, his sister shouting at Bach before Freddy even said anything. Freddy told Bach that his sister was not impressed with what she saw in Bach - taking advantage of teaming with others to get where they want. However, she knew what everyone knew - that he was the best flier in TCW (72)

Jay Chord defeated Dazzling Dave Diamond in 9:49 (75)

-Somehow, I only realised DDD was 42 when I did the post-Mayhem summary. That certainly explains his flagging stamina, but it does not explain the three year contract that I gave him. Chord looked frustrated during this match, and came close to being pinned by DDD, but eventually overcame him with a Cradle Piledriver.

Jay Chord took a microphone after that match to complain that he was meant to win on Sunday. He was the Chosen One at TCW, he was the future at TCW. At that point new music hit, and out came Steven Parker for his TCW debut. Parker told Jay Chord that anyone could call themselves "The Future" - when he was at Mid Atlantic Wrestling it was Parker that was "The Future". However, calling yourself "The Future" doesn't get you anywhere, and he's done being "The Future", he's "The Present", and "The Future" is still a long way off (81)

We then had Wolf Hawkins coronation which... well, these never go well, do they? Eddie Chandler and Joshua Taylor were out as heavies, but when Andrews' music hit they looked up the ramp, allowing the ex-champion to sneak through the crowd to hit an Ace in the Hole on Hawkins, before making a hasty retreat (88)

That show was another with a rebook - I finalised Excessive Force, then booked this show, went away, rebooked it, then realised a debutant on both drafts of the show didn't join until the day after TCW Presents. I also forgot to officially call up El Hijo Del Neutron so had to borrow him, but consider him officially part of the TCW main roster now. Steven Parker also debuted in the traditional fashion of new workers showing up after Total Mayhem, ans he went straight after Jay Chord in an argument about who could reasonably be called "The Future". Okay then.

Nick Booth, who has been a bit irritated recently, was the latest to have to go to the wrestlers court. He was happy with the actions taken, but with his contract running down is at make or break time for his TCW career. Marc Speed gets a one year extension, while Aaron Andrews, One Man Army and Davis Wayne Newton all return to full fitness.

I've finally worked out who Hell Monkey is now, as he loses the PGHW International Title to BISON Yano and promptly falls out with booker Shuji Inukai. He is surely too broken down to bring to TCW but... it's Hell Monkey...

Meanwhile, we had two predictions, marking a high point for this diary! Regular Jaysin was just squeezed out by Herrbear who got the clean sweep. Thank you for predicting!

TCW Presents Total Wrestling:

Dazzling Dave Diamond and Doc Hammond defeated Harvey Robbinfield and The Masked Mauler VII in 8:23 (58)

-We were visiting the South West, so there was an opportunity to give some of our HGC workers a run out. The Masked Mauler outperformed Robbinfield, the latter of whom was pinned with a Dazzle Driver.

Troy Tornado and Davis Wayne Newton defeated Danny Fonzarelli and Seth Whitehead in 6:42 (55)

-Whitehead took the Star Maker here - he did perform almost as well as DWN though.

Marc Speed defeated Phillipe LaGrenier in 6:14 (57)

-LaGrenier is the Number One contender in HGC, but we have no current plans to call him up. Reasonable match.

The Behemoths and Maverick defeated Devine Fortune and Joffy Laine in 9:15 (59)

-This match was pretty much designed just to give the heel team a victory. The faces are getting chillier and chillier, however.

High Flyin Hawaiian defeated Raphael in 6:45 (60)

-I expected this to be the best pre-show match, but did hope for something slightly better.

MAIN SHOW:

Aaron Andrews came out to start the show and declared himself back to full fitness. As such, he had been awarded his mandatory rematch with Wolf Hawkins at Excessive Force, and Wolf Hawkins would see a different side of him. That brought the champion out to tell Andrews that he was making excuses for his loss - Hawkins was sure that he would mysteriously pick up some ailment that will give him the excuse to lose at Excessive Force - because Andrews will be losing again (100)

tPWwJoq.jpg vs T0exOPL.jpg

Aaron Andrews defeated El Hijo Del Neutron in 8:48 (82)

-So, it appears that in his first match officially part of the man roster (with me forgetting to promote him before that last show), El Hijo Del Neutron has had a better match than everyone except Andrews, Chord, Hawkins and Hammond. We did design it to show off his skills, but despite his best efforts the ex-champion took the victory with a Standing Hot Shot.

Andrews offered Del Neutron a handshake, which brought Troy Tornado and Davis Wayne Newton out. They got between Andrews and the champion, with Tornado telling Andrews that he wasn't getting a handshake of respect - he has no friends in TCW (61)

Jay Chord cut a backstage interview, addressing Steven Parker. Chord told the viewers that they may not know Steven Parker - he worked at Mid Atlantic Wrestling years ago. He was some kind of big deal, "The Future", but this was before Jay Chord debuted there, when the company was irrelevant. That brought Mainstream Hernandez over, to refute the period "irrelevant". Hernandez pointed out that he stayed at MAW long enough to win something, to give something back to the fans - and he would meet Chord in the ring later to fight for the respect of MAW (84)

1NfNgjs.jpgDJAyYee.jpg vs 8FojO3R.jpgqRAhdtw.jpg

Cougar Stone defeated Chris Flynn and Nick Booth in 7:55 (69)

-Now this is interesting. Flynn and Booth teaming makes sense with their positions in The Sinner Society... but I decided to ditch that idea and go elsewhere. However, I still gave them a match here, and they showed excellent chemistry. Both sides had it, so we got a really good match, with the faces delivering the Hear Me Party Roar to take the victory.

Greg Gauge cut a quick promo backstage, telling the world that he would be taking back his TV Title later (66)

tR9O6y0.jpg vs P8yCI8D.jpg

Matt Hocking defeated Flying Jimmy Foxx in 5:56 (60)

-Now is the time for me to push Hocking, with his new, buffed look. Will he deliver? Time will tell. He took the match here with a Hock Drop.

0A7ICxk.jpggjMCJaq.jpg vs kPuvkBp.jpgzwe6jFW.jpg

Freddy Huggins and Pretty Okakura defeated Bart Biggins and Elliot Thomas in 7:52 (74)

-Huggins delivers as always, turning what could have been an average match into a showcase that delivered. We did let Okakura get the victory with an STF on Thomas.

Sammy Bach came out with a microphone applauding Huggins, before pointing out that if he was correct Huggins accused him of using others to get wins - well look what has happened here. Huggins told Bach that he was sick of him coming out and pretending he was superior, and challenged him to a match at Excessive Force, which was accepted (84)

VNCC01L.jpg vs RBucLsJ.jpg

One Man Army © defeated Greg Gauge to retain the TCW TV Title in 14:10 (78)

-A great little match - main event quality when I first started booking TCW. Greg Gauge's future is away from the TV Title, and he got into an argument with the ref as he was forced to discard to brass knuckles, allowing OMA to hit a Guided Missile for the victory.

Wolf Hawkins came out with his colleagues, and told Mighty Meaty that after they won tonight, they would be first in the queue for the tag team titles (72)

h3ZWrsV.jpgSMhRu8y.jpgHnafANh.jpg vs Mrcu7Tv.jpgJ4p5In8.jpgAD5FHaf.jpg

The Syndicate defeated Mighty Meaty and T-Bone Bright in 12:52 (79)

-The match started evenly, but then fell apart as Eddie Peak brawled outside of the ring with T-Bone Bright. The Syndicate were able to make the numbers work, Hawkins pinning Tana after struggling to deliver a Full Moon Rising.

Mighty Meaty managed to come to Bright's aid, with Eddie Peak showing that he had still perfected the psychotic look (80)

kKs2S9I.jpg vs 98SmV1v.jpg

Jay Chord defeated Mainstream Hernandez in 15:40 (77)

-The commentary team mentioned that Mainstream Hernandez was the winner of the first two Rip Chord Invitational tournaments at Mid Atlantic Wrestling - a tournament that Jay Chord had not won. Compared to some of the other matches on the card the match didn't stand out, but it did tell a story as Chord wore down his more experienced opponent, and despite some high flying moves from Hernandez that came close to putting Chord away, the youngster won with a Cradle Piledriver.

After the match Steven Parker came out to the stage. Before he could speak Jay Chord grabbed a mic, and told Steven Parker that he was correct - he isn't "The Future" - that was a long time ago and his time has passed. Parker refuted this, saying again that his time was "The Present". He was "The Future" in MAW but he has developed, gained experience across the country, and would prove that he was the greatest wrestler to come out of MAW - not Jay Chord. As the two men stared at one another Greg Gauge suddenly struck Steven Parker from behind. He picked up Parker and delivered an Omega Driver, before staring first at Parker, then at Jay Chord who was still in the ring (86)

Solid show - the main event was just below what I was looking for, but the rest of the card delivered, especially El Hijo Del Neutron's match with Aaron Andrews. With a growing number of wrestlers with history at Mid Atlantic Wrestling, there now seems to be growing story there. There is an ex-champion out there who hasn't got involved yet...

Chris Flynn is destined for the tag division - I can confirm that much. Initially this was going to be with Nick Booth, but then I made a signing to be his partner. While testing out the team on the house circuit I put Booth and Flynn together, and now know they have better chemistry than the team I had planned. I may stick to Flynn / Booth, but that leaves my new signing without a role...
