Who is your favourite character to book and why?

I only play one mod with several variations I made of it. (converted WCW Lives with my own fixes/adjustments)

WCW - Scott Steiner as he deserved multiple title runs

 

I also use an "alternate history" of WCW Lives where TNA exists in 2001 with WCW and WWF also running... (I use it as more of a hard mode, since talent is harder to come by). In that mod I usually book Ken Anderson well, as hes a rookie with high upside and isn't signed by anyone. I suppose I should add in TEW 2016 that would've been Monty Brown, but in TEW 2020 the AI is much more aggressive and I can't sign him without putting the company in a giant deficit (half the fun of this TNA 2001 version, is that I have to be very mindful of my roster and the money).

If I might throw in a character from a mod that is coming up in women's wrestling centred dynasties, one Ashley Keith. Bio (and you can see the obvious comparison here I am sure).

 

Wrestling legend Sam Keith's favourite niece, Ashley Keith grew up immersed in the wrestling business. As a child she would often be found acting out her uncle's classic matches with her dolls. Spending summers with her uncle and cousins watching him mentor up and coming wrestlers at MAW and even working the merch booths and selling programs, it seemed that Ashley was destined to enter the family business. But be that as it may, once she turned 18 she decided to pursue acting. After a short time in Los Angeles, seeing little success Ashley decided it was time to finally try her hand at wrestling. The self-proclaimed "Queen of Professional Wrestling", Ashley is a natural technician in the ring like the rest of her family, and while still very green, has shown all the tools needed to be a star. Like her cousins Ashley has adopted the Proton Lock as her finisher of choice as a tribute to her uncle.

 

I've seen a lot of great heel work with her in dynasties from the obvious feud with the Queen of Hearts, Danielle Sweetheart to starting a faction in the fed her uncle set up and running absolutely roughshod over it despite Sam Keith's best efforts. I am trying her as a face in my own Eve run (protecting the legacy Sam Keith is trying to build in Project Eve from being destroyed before it even launches) before bringing her into the 2018 mod's AAA where the obvious heel wrestler's line against her will be people see through her because she is using this place to have another crack at Hollywood (which given the reality tv centred nature of some of the women in the AAA because of the Women's Network it runs under in that mod would be a fair accusation).

 

Of course she is absolutely delicious as a heel and that might be where she goes down the line but I have a few years to play around with that I think.

I have a soft spot for Todd "The Hype" Cusson from Derek B CV 97 mod. I like to clean him from drug habits and give him religious straight edge gimmick.

Frankie Perez- I tend to book him as if you combined Adam Cole's charisma and mic work with Kyle O'Reilly's moveset. He is the ace of my CZCW save.

 

The American Cobras- They are FTR to me. Plus I can use them in singles if need be. Just need to keep them from leaving, lol.

 

Masked Cougar- The lucha legend. He's still a main eventer for me in CZCW but I will have him wrestle people who I think are ready or close to being ready to work the main event scene. If they can hang with MC then I know they're ready.

It's always been Angry Gilmore for me. He's awesome. He's a great worker, great talker, good star quality. He's also never reached the true top level in canon, so I love to get him there. I've used him so many ways in so many saves. He's had a Austin-like anti-Eisen run, he's been a traditionalist, cult leader, a mentor, a bitter veteran, heel stable leader and so much more. I just wish he was ten years younger.
