Devilfish & Tigre Salvaje Jr vs. Orange Tsuchie & Tsuneyo Yanagimoto Establishing favorites. Ernest Youngman vs. Konrad Makinen Again, something always gets in Youngman's way. And that something was Round 8's draw. Now he no longer controls his own destiny. And he's facing a desperate Makinen, who has to win or he's out of the League. Hiroyasu Gakusha & Jin Miyamoto vs. Jotaro Tanaka & Warmonger Landon Mallory vs. Nelson Callum I'm gonna tip my hand here: I think Perez's title run is about to end. So my thinking has shifted to this question: Of these two, who is more likely to be the one to finally beat him? This was a strange season to predict. I initially went with Youngman to win the league, leading to the big Perez-Youngman showdown that's been brewing for several seasons. And I thought Perez would beat him and end that story. But as the season went on, it became clear that the field had gained ground on him, and I started to believe that you were setting up his eventual title loss. But then Youngman left a couple of points on the table, which is when I started saying "something always gets in his way." So by Round 7 there were... four, maybe five people still in contention. Then Youngman drew with Mallory in round 8, losing control of his fate in the process, and here we go again, right? But then he apparently schemes his way to not only the League title, but the PWL Championship. This season was wild. Thanks for giving it to us. Anyway, for the podcast, there's really only one choice IMO, and it's both long overdue and an ideal time to have him on: Frankie Perez.
