Young Lion System & Using It Correctly

Recommended Posts

Hello Guys, first off I am using a mod, i know often times this is what gets asked :) Im playing as NJPW and I am a new japan fan so in terms of what the young lions system is I dont need that explaining but I am having some trouble with implementing it in game

If i booked them as they would be in real life it would badly effect my overall show ratings, for instance in the run up to the G1 IRL they had the three prominent young lions (Gabriel Kidd, Yota Tsuji and Yuya Uemura) opening every show wrestling each other, in game the match rating for that would be at best 30-35 and in turn really effect my show rating. So generally im having them wrestle on pre shows either against each other or most in tags with high psychology guys, so the first question of sorts I have is will having them on the pre show as opposed to the main show effect their growth in terms of pop, exp, and other stats?

The other problem ive run into is the three previously mentioned Young Lions who IRL are due to go out on excursions, all three of them have rejected doing that as they said theyre too old... I had four guys out on excursion when the game started , im aproaching a year in now and the four have returned , three of them had only wrestled 1 match each whilst on excursion! i know thats down to the AI but that leads me back to the initial point of post .... how to you best utilise the young lions system in game??

EDIT : I had thought about making a "b" show and just having the young lions / unimportant guys wrestle on it as B shows dont effect popularity of the company at all but again i was unsure as to how effective this may be

What is the match focus in NJPW? If it is Main Event or I forget the other one, it won't make that much of a difference. If you are looking at the average of every match (as opposed to 90% or 70% weight to the main event) you might see a bigger dip.

Yeah NJPW has an affiliation to four feds that take young lions on excursion, as I said in the OP unfortunately of the four that where out on excursion when the game started two of them only wrestled one match each in a year. The game has since generated two workers through the dojo who I kept with me for a few months and I’ve since sent out to the fed with the smallest and weakest roster ( the thinking being that they may have more chances for the AI to book them)
