There was a beautiful sense of Eddie winning the belt at No ay Out '04 to that. While it was a cheap victory and in a sense more to push the other feud than the title win, Vito still came out of it looking like a champion. I would have preferred him to have his moment in the sun, the show closing with Vito celebrating overcoming the odds and becoming champion, but no doubt you've got something on store in that sense.

Of course I loved the Stud and Balls skit, and I was genuinely tense during the Juvi - Styles match, which when reading something secretly on the internet at work takes some doing...

Another great show. As if I expected otherwise...

Man, I was tense all the way through this. Greatest card i've read on the dynasty boards for a long long time. I love the Gertner/Balls segment. AJ/Juvi was a real thriller and the Raven/Vito. I was on edge all along. I actually cheered and marked out when Vito won :D. Great show Nevermore, not just the greatest writer on these boards, the greatest writer on these boards by a clear mile.

From ECW.com

Confirmed for Blood, Sweat & Beers:

Rhino vs. Masato Tanaka

http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j254/charliepag/Rhyno.jpgvshttp://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j254/charliepag/MasatoTanaka.jpg

After scoring what was surely an upset victory over Mark Calaway last night on pay-per-view, he rendered "The Soul Taker" completely incapicated following a Rhino Driver through a ringside table. Tonight, The Man Beast looks set to continue the wave of destruction.

Yoshihiro Tajiri vs. Nate Hatred

http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j254/charliepag/Tajiri.jpgvshttp://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j254/charliepag/NateHatred.jpg

Yoshihiro Tajiri has requested a rematch with ECW's Most Extreme Athlete following his previous defeat a few weeks ago. After Hatred's victory over a hardcore legend like Sabu one wonders if the Japanese Buzzsaw needs his head examining.

CM Punk vs. Vito Thomaselli

http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j254/charliepag/CMPunkAllAction.jpgvshttp://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j254/charliepag/VitoThomaselli2.jpg

The new (and youngest ever) World Heavyweight Champion has requested this non-title match, most likely to teach Punk a lesson for his blindside assault last night at Heatwave. Vito is riding about as big a wave of momentum as a 24 year old can and it seems obvious who the favourite in this match is.

Chris Hero vs. AJ Styles©

http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j254/charliepag/ChrisHero.jpgvshttp://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j254/charliepag/AJStylesTV.jpg

Following his pay-per-view victory over Jerry Lynn, "ECW's Saviour", Chris Hero, challenges for AJ Styles World Television Championship. Both men look in top form, the former having gained an upset victory and the latter seemingly driving his greatest foe out of ECW.

The Hardcore Innovators vs. The Whole F**kin' Show

http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l161/Game-Face/dreamertag.jpghttp://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l161/Game-Face/cactustag.jpgvshttp://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l161/Game-Face/RVDecwchamp.jpghttp://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l161/Game-Face/HBKecwchamp.jpg

For the first time ever in ECW, tag team champions meet tag team champions as the (newly rechristened) ECW Hardcore Tag Team Champions face the ECW World Tag Team Champions. Although no titles are on the line tonight, this is sure to have a big impact on the legitimacy of both championships!

Paul Burchill vs. Raven

http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j254/charliepag/PaulBurchillNF.jpgvshttp://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j254/charliepag/RavenChamp.jpg

As ECW Commissioner, Raven previously enforced the stipulation that Paul Burchill could never challenge him for the World Title. Now, despite still being in possession of the belt, he is not the champion. Not only does this open up an opportunity for "The New Franchise" to challenge for the title, it also means that he can finally get his hands on Raven for the first time since Hardcore Heaven.

Plus...

Paul E holds an in-ring ceremony in which Raven will be "forced to relinquish the World Heavyweight Title belt to the new champion [Vito Thomaselli]".

Rhino vs. Masato Tanaka

It would make no sense to have Rhino destroy someone like Calaway then job to Masato

Yoshihiro Tajiri vs. Nate Hatred

Nate is on one hell of a run at the moment, and looking at his match ratings, seems to be getting seriiously over

CM Punk vs. Vito Thomaselli

You're not the WWE. Hence, you won't squash your champion

Chris Hero vs. AJ Styles©

Big victory for both of these guys at Heatwave, but AJ is just about the best damn person for the belt at the moment, and again, I bet he's getting seriously over

The Hardcore Innovators vs. The Whole F**kin' Show

Coin flip, though I expect a Dudleyz run in

Paul Burchill vs. Raven

Again, coin flip. But I don't think the winner is as important here as the story.

Can't wait to see the show mate. Obviously seeing whether Raven will relinquish the belt will be interesting but so too will be the next chapter for Juvi

Saturday, week 4, August

<embed width="448" height="361" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" src="http://i82.photobucket.com/player.swf?file=http://vid82.photobucket.com/albums/j254/charliepag/Bloodsweatbeers.flv"></embed>

http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j254/charliepag/JoeyStyles.jpghttp://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j254/charliepag/Tazz.jpg

Joey: Hello, ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to another installment of ECW Blood, Sweat and Beers. I'm Joey Styles alongside former World Heavyweight Champion, Taz.

Taz: can you believe it, Joey? We have a new Heavyweight Champion.

Joey: That's right, Taz. After a six month reign and nearly a two year dominance by Raven, former Nest member, Vito Thomaselli, has finally put an end to it all!

Taz: ...and tonight we have the title award ceremony. Man, I can't wait for that!

http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j254/charliepag/Rhyno.jpgvs.http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j254/charliepag/MasatoTanaka.jpg

Rhino dominates this one without a second thought.

He wins with a Gore in only the fifth minute.

Match Rating: B-

Nate Hatred and his manager come to the ring,

http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j254/charliepag/NateHatred.jpghttp://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j254/charliepag/JamesMitchell.jpg

Minister: Behold ECW's Most Extreme Athlete!

The crowd jeer.

Minister: None of you fools believed us when we arrived but just at the legacy he has created in just a few short months. He is undefeated in singles competition; he has never suffered a pinfall or submission! The fact is The Appollyon that stands beside me is unbeatable!

The jeers continue.

Minister: ...and proof of that is provided by the victims of his perverse perdition! He started off by beating the like of Steve Corino, both former World Heavyweight Champions who merely served as lambs to the satanic slaughter. He then scored a pinfall victory over Rhino, the man who was suppossedly "unstoppable".

Joey: ...which was only made possible by interference from Al Snow.

Taz: I think they're ommitting that bit for a reason.

Minister: Next, came Nate's innevitable triumph over the apparent "Hardcore Icon", The Sandman. ECW's Most Extreme Athlete proved himself to be as much by defeating Sandman in singles competition... twice. No one has seen or heard from him since.

The disapproving becomes steadily louder.

Minister: ...and, finally, last night at Heatwave, Nate Hatred laid to rest the legend of "The Human Highlight Reel". So, I ask you, he has defeated four former Heavyweight Champions, two of ECW's most revered legends and the apparent monster prospect in the main event, what more must he do to prove himself as the most extreme wrestler ECW has ever seen?

Joey: Perhaps, win a match without the aid of outside interference.

Taz: Yeah, that'd certainly help.

The tirade is mercifully interrupted by the entrance of Yoshihiro Tajiri.

Unsurprisingly, Hatred dominates Tajiri.

He wins with a Decapitator Lariat in the eighth minite.

Match Rating: C+

After the match, the lights cut out.

The fans instinctively no what's coming.

When they come back on, The Human Highlight Reel is in the ring with a steel chair.

http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j254/charliepag/Sabu2.jpg

Sabu throws the steel straight into Hatred's face.

Mitchell scrambles out of the ring and pulls a stunned Hatred out after him.

ECW's Most Extreme Athlete is aided to the back by his manager as Sabu points to the heavens.

Paul Heyman makes his way to the ring.

http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j254/charliepag/PaulHeyman.jpg

Heyman: Ladies and gentlemen, it gives me great pleasure to officially announce that the reign of Raven as World Heavyweight Champion has come to an end.

The fans go nuts.

Heyman: ...and I'm sure it will give me equal pleasure to award the belt to the youngest champion in ECW history, Vito Thomaselli.

Vito and his entourage make their way to the ring.

http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j254/charliepag/VitoThomaselli2.jpg

http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j254/charliepag/BrandonThomaselli2.jpghttp://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j254/charliepag/SalvatoreThomaselli.jpghttp://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j254/charliepag/KellyThomaselli.jpghttp://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j254/charliepag/PaulBurchillNF.jpghttp://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j254/charliepag/ShaneDouglasNF.jpg

Burchill walks to the ring with his arm around Kelli, clearly suggesting a certain "connection".

Vito asks for the microphone off Paul E.

Vito: Thank you, Paul, but, first, I just want to take this opportunity to say a few quick words. Firstly, I would like to thank Paul Burchill and Shane Douglas for ensuring my match with Raven was an even playing field. Franchise, consider yourself top of the number one contenders' list.

Burchill tips his head in appreciation.

Vito: Secondly, I want to thank my family: my parents for encouraging me to come to America and pursue my dreams but, even more importantly, my brothers and sister who have helped me through all my trials.

Brandon, Sal and Kelli take turns to hug their brother.

Vito: ...and, lastly, I want to say thank you to each and every one of you for...

Raven interrupts the champion by making his way down to the ring with his Nest.

http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j254/charliepag/RavenWorld.jpghttp://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j254/charliepag/CMPunkAllAction.jpghttp://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j254/charliepag/TheGiant.jpghttp://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j254/charliepag/Abyss2.jpg

Raven: Apologies for interrupting this touching little ceremony but these people don't deserve any thanks, least of all from a subservient little prick like you!

Heyman: Raven, you're here to relinquish... nothing more.

The champion smirks.

Raven: I wouldn't be so sure, Paul E.

CM Punk pulls a wad of paper from behind his back and hands it to Raven.

Taz: What the hell is that?

Joey: I have no idea.

Raven: What I have here, Paul, is the contract that you and Vito so hastily signed ahead of Heatwave.

Paul E's face falls realising something is amiss.

Raven: Now, before anyone gets any big ideas, this is merely a copy... one of several, in fact. However, allow me to direct your attention to clause 17.2a...

Raven flicks through what seems like hundreds of sheets of paper.

Raven: ...and I quote... "Any outside interference in said match, from any party, that directly affects the champion's ability to retain his title will result in a disqualification and, therefore, negate any apparent title changes".

The boos around the arena are deafening.

Joey: What the hell?

Taz: No way!

Raven: So, for the slower minds amongst you, that means this belt slung over my shoulder still belongs to me.

Vito, white with rage, goes nose-to-nose with Raven.

Raven: I'll elaborate on something else too. You see, Vito, this doesn't make you a former World Heavyweight Champion. Since the overriding stipulation was a product of the match in which the title was defended, you never were the champion... you remain the same unachieving sack of sh*t you always have been!

Vito makes to swing a punch but Goliath stands in his way.

Heyman: You can't be serious?

Raven: Now, see if I was joking, I'd be laughing.

He pauses and chuckles.

Raven: Actually, I am laughing... it's pretty f**king funny. But I'm dead serious, ass hole!

The members of The Nest all smile.

Raven: Which brings me to clause 24.17e: "Any interference from Paul Burchill or Shane Douglas will grant the ECW Commissioner the right to terminate both of their contracts without requirment for managerial negotiation." Hang on, who is the commissioner?

Punk: Ain't that you, boss?

Raven laughs

Raven: Oh, yeah... Hey, "Franchise", pack your f**kin' bags!

Joey: No way!

Taz: You've gotta be f**kin' kdding!

Burchill smiles and takes the microphone.

Burchill: You're crazy, man. You know I'm the draw around here; Paul E will find a loophole.

Raven: Ha, he can try. You reckon I haven't thought this one through?

Burchill's face now drops and he strides up to Raven.

The commissioner raises his hand.

Raven: But to coin a phrase from a great businessman, in the interest of fairness, I have devised a solution to please both parties.

Shane Douglas restrains Paul Burchill.

Raven: This contract grants me the right to fire you; I don't have to act upon it. So, I'll tell ya what, you can meet my monsters in the main event and, should you be victorious, I might just reconsider your plight. Let's say as long as you can keep winning, you can keep your job... I guess it's my tunr to make your life a living hell!

Burchill, Douglas, Heyman and the Thomaselli's all look stunned as The Nest make to leave.

However, the champion turns for one final jibe.

Raven: Let this be a lesson... don't f**k with master of mind games!

Taz: Jesus, Raven just turned ECW on its head!

Joey: I can't believe this! He has no shame!

In a fit of rage, Vito jumps his opponent, CM Punk, from behind and the bell rings.

http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j254/charliepag/CMPunkAllAction.jpgvs.http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j254/charliepag/VitoThomaselli2.jpg

Vito lays into Punk, dominating the International All Action Champion.

He continues to do so for several minutes as the two groups stay at ringside.

However, as He rebounds off the ropes for a Shining Wizard, Goliath clubs him in the back.

He stumbles into the GTS.

1...2...3!

Match Rating: B-

Joey: Damn it, The Nest steal it... along with the belt!

As Vito's entourage make to exact some retribution, The Nest hastily disperse into the crowd to the fan's deafening jeers.

Juventud Guerrera sits alone in the locker room backstage.

http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j254/charliepag/JuventudGuerrera2.jpg

His face is in his hands as he remains motionless.

There is a knock on the door.

Voice: Juvi...

Guerrera remains frozen.

Francine enters the locker room.

http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j254/charliepag/Francine.jpg

Francine: I'm glad I found you. Are you okay?

No answer.

Francine: Juvi?

Still no response.

Francine: Juvi, look at me... please.

Guerrera lets out a huge sigh and looks up.

Guerrera: Are you happy now?

Francine: Well, I'm glad I get to see your face at last.

Guerrera frowns.

Francine: I mean I wanted you to win at Heatwave but I am glad to finally see who you are underneath the mask.

Guerrera: Oh yeah? What's the verdict, as grotesque as you imagined?

Francine: What? No! In fact, seeing you fight so desperately at Heatwave made me realise how much I... I admire you; how much I might actually love you and... well... I was thinking, maybe, I was too hasty in shooting you down before.

Guerrera looks away.

Francine: It's just I didn't... I mean, I don't want to hurt you but I've realised I've been doing just that anyway. So, I was hoping maybe we could start again and, y'know, do things differently.

Juvi turns back towards her and scowls.

Guerrera: What's the matter, Francine, feel sorry for me now?

Francine looks stunned.

Francine: No, of course not.

She takes him by the hand.

Francine: I'd really like to give this a go. I'd really like to know you properly.

She smiles; he doesn't.

He pulls his hand away.

Guerrera: It's not worth it anymore.

Francine: What? Juvi, I know it seems bad, hun, but you can overcome this. You sitting here defeated like this... that's exactly what AJ wanted!

Again, the luchadore scowls.

Guerrera: No, this is exactly what you wanted!

Francine: What?!

Guerrera raises his voice.

Guerrera: I told you my mask was my heritage!

His voice become louder still...

Guerrera: I told you it was my legacy! Yet you still pressured me into it!

Francine: But I only did what I thoght was right?

Guerrera: Right for who?

Francine: For you.

Guerrera: Oh really? Well, didn't that work out well. I'll bet it was just a game to you. You thought you'd have a laugh and rob Juvi of his identity.

Francine: But... but that mask isn't your identity. You are as much a man without it. I know that; I just wish you could see it.

Guerrera: How could you know something like that? You think you love me all of a sudden but it's f**king obvious that you don't know me at all!

Guerrera storms out of the room.

Francine follows him.

She pursues him down the corridoor.

Francine: Where are you going?

Guerrera: As far away from you as I can get.

Francine: But we can sort this out.

Guerrera: For someone so streetwise, you're damn slow on the uptake. I'm not interested. I had better luck in Mexico!

Francine: But, Juvi... I love you.

Guerrera turns and grabs Francine by the hands.

Guerrera: Franny...

She gazes up at him.

Francine: Yeah?

Guerrera: You love yourself! You always have, you always will and you're not capable of anything else.

He drops her hands and walks off down the corridoor.

Francine falls in a heap against the wall, sobbing.

Taz: Cold...

Joey: He had better luck in Mexico? Does that mean what I think it means?

Taz: I don't know about you, Joe, but I don't think we'll be seeing Juventud Guerrera for a while.

http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j254/charliepag/ECWWorldTVTitle.jpg

http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j254/charliepag/ChrisHero.jpgvs.http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j254/charliepag/AJStylesTV.jpg

The match is pretty near a train-wreck as the two men have zero chemistry.

It is, however, an even contest right from the opening bell.

In the twelfth minute, Jerry Lynn runs out.

http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j254/charliepag/JerryLynn.jpg

He enters the ring, hitting a Cradle Piledriver on Hero.

Styles capitalises for the pin.

Match Rating: C-

After the match, Jerry Lynn assaults the rookie, repaying him for his blindside attack at Heatwave,

Kurt Angle runs out to the ring, still in his neckbrace.

http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j254/charliepag/KurtAngle.jpg

Taz: What the hell is Angle doing out here?

Joey: He's supposed to have a broken neck!

He approaches Lynn from behind...

Olympic Slam!

The dynamic one is left out cold as Hero and Angle head to the back.

Taz: Something tells me Kurt's injury ain't as serious as he's making out.

Joey: Whatever gave you that idea.

Taz: Yeah, I wonder.

Joey: Anyway, now, ladies and gentlemen, we had backstage for a new segment...

Taz: ...Backstage With Becky.

ECW's new backstage interviewer is with Owen Hart.

http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j254/charliepag/Becky.jpghttp://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j254/charliepag/OwenHart.jpg

Becky: Hey everyone, I'm Becky Bayless and this is Backstage With Becky. Right now, I'm with Owen Hart fo r an interview regarding his recent rivalry with "The Lionheart" Chris Jericho. Hey, owen.

Hart: Hey.

Becky: So, last night, Chris Hero beat you in rather controversial fashion. What are your thoughts?

Hart: What are my thoughts? My thoughts are that, true to form, he had to resort to being the little dirtbag that he is. In a fair set of circumstances, there is no way he could beat me.

Becky: No way?

Hart frowns.

Hart: No way.

Becky: Do you think it's of any significance that Chris Jericho opted to use The Sharpshooter to defeat you rather than his own Liontamer?

Hart: Yes I do, Becky. Since that match was billed as a "Sharpshooter versus Walls Of Jericho" match, I think that it speaks volumes. Not only did Jericho have to cheat to win, he also effectively admitted that my family's signature submission hold is the superior move!

Becky: An interesting point...

Hart: It's more than interesting. You see, when I next get my hands on Chris Jericho, I'm not jut gonna make him tap, I'm gonna break his damn spine because I can take competition, I can take rivalry but, if there is one thing I will never tolerate, it is disrespect.

Becky: So, do you have any last words for The Lionheart before we wrap this thing up?

Hart: Yeah, this one ain't over yet, Jericho, so, if I were you, I'd be ready to meet me in the ring real soon.

Becky: Cool. Back to you, Joey.

Joey: Hart is fuming.

Taz: No doubt, Joey. I'd b pissed too if Jericho pulled that stunt on me!

http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l161/Game-Face/dreamertag.jpghttp://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l161/Game-Face/cactustag.jpgvs.http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l161/Game-Face/RVDecwchamp.jpghttp://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l161/Game-Face/HBKecwchamp.jpg

Both teams come out determined to prove their superiority.

Indeed, it is a very even contest.

However, in the eleventh minute, The Dudley Family emerge from the back.

http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j254/charliepag/BubbaRayDudley.jpghttp://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j254/charliepag/D-VonDudley.jpghttp://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j254/charliepag/DaizyDudley.jpghttp://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j254/charliepag/DickDudley.jpghttp://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j254/charliepag/BanzaiDudley.jpg

Bubba and D-Von set upon The Hardcore Innovators as The Second Generation start to brawl with The Whole F**kin' Show.

Meanwhile, Daizy and Traci engage in the mandatory catfight on the outside.

Taz: Man, this is crazy!

Considering that both teams are now otherwise engaged, Jim Molineaux calls for a no contest.

Match Rating: B-

After the bell, the mass brawl continues as all eight men and both women refuse to leave the ring.

Vito Thomaselli is backstage for a shoot promo.

http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j254/charliepag/VitoThomaselli2.jpg

Vito: I should have expected something like this, Raven. There may be nothing I can do about the title right now but, rest assured, if you think you took a beating last night, you've just made my desire to cripple your ass a whole lot stronger!

http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j254/charliepag/PaulBurchillNF.jpgvs.http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j254/charliepag/TheGiant.jpghttp://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j254/charliepag/Abyss2.jpg

After a few minutes of the Monsters taking the upper-hand, Burchill innevitably makes the comeback.

In fighting for his ECW career, he shows just how tenacious he is.

In the twelfth minute, he floors both Monsters witha Flying Clothesline.

However, The International All Action Champion emerges from the crowd.

http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j254/charliepag/CMPunkAllAction.jpg

He slides into the ring and decks "The New franchise" from behind with the gold.

Joey: No, not like this.

Abyss makes the cover.

1...2...

Kickout!

The fans go nuts as Vito sprints down to the ring.

http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j254/charliepag/VitoThomaselli2.jpg

He takes out Punk with a Spear through the ropes and the two men brawl on the outside.

The Monsters pick up Burchill for the Double Chokeslam but Shane Douglas enters the ring with a chair and takes out both behemoths from behind.

"The New Franchise" sets up Abyss for the C-4.

Taz: No way. Surely he can't lift him.

Now, Raven runs to the ring.

http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j254/charliepag/RavenWorld.jpg

Burchill drops Abyss and goes to meet the champion but he is booted in the gut...

...and set up for the Raven Effect.

But, no, he nails a body shot on the champ...

...C-4!

He springs to his feet in one movement as Abyss approaches.

Super Kick on the monster!

1...2...3!

Match Rating: B+

The show goes off air as Burchill goes to aid Vito in his brawl with POunk on the outside.

Taz: So, Burchill is still in a contract.

Joey: Yeah, but if Raven contiues to stack the deck like this, I think it's a matter of when not if.

Taz: I guess he's just keeping him around to torment.

Damn, the Monsters just can not win handicap matches can they.

Loved the show again, briliant writing that kept me interested and loved the Raven loop holes again.

As for the Francine & Juvi segments, once again you've done an intense and emotional segment. It was a hell of a lot better than similar situations portrayed on Hollyoaks.......but then I took a dump last night that was a hell of a lot better than Hollyoaks....but you get the point.

Damn you Raven! Damn you to hell! I hope Burchill kicks his arse pronto, he's really starting to p*ss me off (in a character based, heel way, not X-Pac heat).

The Juvi ting is interesting fo' sure. I bet it seemed like a gamble when you thought it up but it's paid off.

*Ahem*

BECKY!!!

*Marks out*

Great show, I'm really pissed off about Raven (as a mark), but I'm not sure Vito was really on the level for the title yet anyway(as a smark). Nice pic of Juvi, loving how that storyline is panning out. And do I see Hardcore Innovators/Whole F'N Show vs The Dudleyz in an 8 man tag for both titles coming? Because that would possibly be the most awesome match in the history of the world.

What a pay per view! Top Notch stuff.

Gertner continues to be as funny as hell. How do you come up with this stuff?

Raven is just increbible, he's my favourite character from any dynasty, I seriouly wouldn't be bothered to see him keep the title for another couple of months. He has to be the greatest heel, not just in dynastys, but in the whole wrestling world.

What's all this natural order business about. I simply can't wait to find out.

Haha, it all seemed like a hell of a gamble. So, I'm chuffed. The "emotional" storyline could easily have been dismissed as not hardcore enough and the Raven swerve could have just been seen as "cheap" booking. I nearly bottled it at the last minute to just have Punk cost Vito the match :o.

Basically, at this moment, I have a few characters that I'm really trying to see how far in certain directions I can take them, Raven and Francine being prime examples.

Raven is just increbible, he's my favourite character from any dynasty, I seriouly wouldn't be bothered to see him keep the title for another couple of months. He has to be the greatest heel, not just in dynastys, but in the whole wrestling world.

Cool. I always feel like I'm treading a razorblade between making it the sweetest possible timing for a title change and just having people losse all interest in the character.

What's all this natural order business about. I simply can't wait to find out.

Haha, first person to ask, eh? Well, you'll see... eventually.

*Ahem*

BECKY!!!

*Marks out*

Don't know if she'll be a constant fixture yet, dude. I quite like the idea of retaining that old ECW shoot promo feel with the music playing in the background. However, I think being on a big network would require you to do something a little less artsy and more traditional. We'll see; she's been in CZW for months now anyway, so...

Great show, I'm really pissed off about Raven (as a mark), but I'm not sure Vito was really on the level for the title yet anyway(as a smark).

Well, Keefy alluded to it being a step to "push a storyline". In fact, it was a step to push Vito. He's beaten Raven twice now and (effectively) cleanly beaten Calaway.

And do I see Hardcore Innovators/Whole F'N Show vs The Dudleyz in an 8 man tag for both titles coming? Because that would possibly be the most awesome match in the history of the world.

Hmmm... let's just say the Guilty As Charge Pay-Per-View in October will come with a certain gimmick arttached ;).

I think Funaki has had more success in the ring than Monsters Inc. have combined at this point :p

Hey, I'm givin' 'em a paycheck, aren't I? :D Goliath may have one more main event stretch in hi before he retires but his stats aren't special anymore.

Abyss, on the other hand, could prove useful later down the line but I do believe in guys earning their stripes in stables.

The greatest heel in wrestling today---RAVEN!!! by gawd man!!!

...and you are the greatest asset to a diary writer ;).

Okay, just pointing out I'm starting the save game over due to issues with the data. Partially it's due to such bad chemistry figures but I'm not just chucking my toys out the pram.

  1. The chemistry stuff sucked as you know.
  2. Smackdown just got dropped and Raw's contract wasn't renewed - somewhat taking the fun out of the war .
  3. Ric Flair retired removing one of WWA's only two decent workers.
  4. Vince just died.

All in all, the worst run of luck fro an individual game in one month... ever!

I'm updating the database as we speak/type.

Extreme Makeover?

by Mike Johnson

Rumours are circulating that, in celebration of its fifteenth year in business, Extreme Championship Wrestling is planning several changes. The full story is not yet clear and, as such, the significance of some decisions remains uncertain.

The first major point of interest came in the form of an offer made by ECW to the owner's of South Philadelphia's New Alhambra Arena, previously known as Viking Hall AKA The ECW Arena. The promotion's plans for the venue are not known but specualtion suggests that it may concern the opwning of a new training school.

In a second piece of news, discovered only today, ECW apparently plans to debut new designs for all its title belts in the coming months. This will be the third look that the belts have projected.

And in a final piece of confirmation rather than news, the reshuffle of the ECW roster seems to be in full-swing as several young stars look set to seize the top spots before the year is through.

From ECW.com

Confirmed for Revolution:

Chris Jericho vs. Sal Thomaselli

http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j254/charliepag/ChrisJericho.jpgvshttp://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j254/charliepag/SalvatoreThomaselli.jpg

"The Lionheart" looks to further improve on his recent form in his upcoming match with Sal Thomaselli. Meanwhile, with Vito proving himself greatly in the singles ranks and Brandon being tipped to do the same, Sal seeks to show that he and his brothers could be the start of a dynasty in the making.

War of the World Orders

The sWo vs. The bWo

http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j254/charliepag/sWoSasuke.jpghttp://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j254/charliepag/sWoOz.jpgvshttp://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j254/charliepag/bWoStevie.jpghttp://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j254/charliepag/bWoSnow.jpg

The recent feud between the sWo and bWo (or "The War of the World Orders" as it has been dubbed) has become so heated that one wonders if the two groups even remember that they're just parodies. Oh, well... they're nothing if not entertaining.

Nate Hatred vs. The Sandman

http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j254/charliepag/NateHatred.jpgvshttp://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j254/charliepag/TheSandman.jpg

This week on Revolution, ECW's Most Extreme Athlete is revisited by an old nemesis: The Hardcore Icon. It seems that Father James Mitchell's words on Blood, Sweat & Beers left The Sandman even more pissed off than usual and, with this in mind, he has challenged Hatred to this long overdue rematch.

Catfight

Traci vs. Daizy Dudley

http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j254/charliepag/TracyBrooks2.jpgvshttp://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j254/charliepag/DaizyDudley.jpg

Over the last several weeks, many an eyebrow has been raised and many an ass flashed in, at or during the the catfights between these two. So, we say "To hell with it... let 'em have a match of their own".

Bring your binoculars if you could only afford the cheap seats!

The Whole F**kin' Show vs. The Dudley Boyz

The chaos surrounding the Tag Team Titles has reached record heights. In fact, we now even have a second tag team championship but it's not the one up fpr defence in this match. This week on Revolution, The Dudley Boyz aim to end the nearly seven month reign of everyone's favourite tag team (and RVD's), The Whole F**kin' Show.

CM Punk vs. Paul Burchill

http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j254/charliepag/CMPunkAllAction.jpgvshttp://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j254/charliepag/PaulBurchillNF.jpg

Last week on Blood, Sweat & Beers, Raven dropped what was perhaps the biggest bombshell of his tenure as ECW Commissioner. Not only did he reveal that he is still the champion [in name only to most ECW fans], he also shocked us all by telling Paul Burchill that the next time he loses, he's fired! "The New Franchise" faces Raven's own protege this week in a do-or-die situation. Can he survive or, perhaps more fittingly, can CM Punk?

I re-read your last show word for word like five times mate. I don't know if I've ever done that on a wrestling show. I don't even think I've ever done that with one of my own or a WCW DDTdigest.com episode. But THAT, THAT just held me from start to finish. From the outset what you did was completely and utterly masterful. Your definition of heel versus face is so outstanding.

I know there's been a lot of comment about the Raven-Burchill-Vito-Douglas moments, and rightly so. But the part that truly grabbed me? Juventud Guerrera. It reminded me of what WCW did NOT do. WCW made Juvi and Rey lose their heritage, their tradition, their legacy, ... in a way themselves. But you just paid homage to that. WCW did not allow that story to flow, instead, that was the end of it in both those cases. What you did was perfectly logical - if a man loses his soul, doesn't he then start to question everything? Doesn't he become solitary? Doesn't he become confined? What you did with Juventud Guerrera makes him pushable. It makes him someone who can start to scale the card. It makes it interesting. Granted, WCW had some great humour with Chris Jericho post beating Juventud, but they instead of giving Juventud a chance to get over how YOU just did when back to the monotony of the nWo. That, despite having Mike Tenay as a commentator who had done a great job in selling the legacy, the importance, the tradition, the honour, the heritage of the mask and lucha libre.

If there is an award for a segment that means so much to someone, that means so much to me because frankly you just showed me the way that wrestling should be done. You just gave Juventud a bone. You just allowed him to become his own man. And you didn't destroy lucha libre doing it, you just polished it up moreso.

For that, I give you full marks, mate. Wise men say only fools rush in but I can't help falling in love with ECW Worldwide.

Chris Jericho v Sal Thomaselli - I would normally go Jericho here, but I sense Owen Hart will be involved again. I think your segment was brilliant on Hart turning it against Jericho for using his own families tradition, the Sharpshooter. You're right in how you booked that, WWE often uses the opposition finishers, but a good heel takes the loss and makes it into something, and frankly, the Sharpshooter is Hart tradition. Well done. Sal Thomaselli for the W.

sWo v bWo - I'm going sWo, loved the Great Susake moment where you had 5 of them. And I think the sWo again will have something up their sleeve.

Nate Hatred v The Sandman - I wonder, I just whether Sabu will come down and accidentally KO Sandman, giving Hatred the win. Therefore, I'm going Nate Hatred. I sorta think it's right that the faces should be chasing Nate Hatred for all his demented cheating right now.

Traci v Daizy - I think Daizy's going to have support here, Daizy.

The Whole F'N Show v The Dudleyz - The Dudleyz are the right full-time to end the Whole F'N Show, but the Whole F'N Show is on such a roll that I can't see it happening until PPV time.

CM Punk v Paul Birchill - Birchill does eventually have to lose, and from there I'm sure you have something wicked up your sleeve. But I don't think it's right here, and thus I think he's going to overcome the Nest and prevail.
