Life is crazy sometimes...

Four years ago I was nobody, wrestling for beers at Crocks back in Thunder Bay. I was working as a full time Assistant Manager at the truck stop in the middle of town just to eat and living with three other friends (including Calvin Hobbes, our referee) to be able to afford rent. Cal was making 50 bucks a show, literally enough to buy a case of beer and a couple of hot and readys from Little Ceasers. I remember when we were starting out we did our schedule around his work; he would do eleven days out of town painting the highways and small towns in the area, and on his weekends back every two weeks we'd do shows. The other half of the year was rough for him. Fortunately that didn't last long. Dude makes 15,000 a month now and owns his own house in Montreal. Don't know why he moved to Montreal, but whatever.

I remember when Nigel (Honest Frank) came up to me after nationals in Tae Kwon Do. I didn't win, but I did pretty good. He told me I looked good out there, and I had a good look. He saw something special in me, something he wanted to help draw out. He asked if I had ever thought about wrestling. I told him the truth; I grew up watching wrestling...lots of Burning Hammer, NOTBPW and then CWA when they swapped, ACPW shows in Quebec every once in a while. It was a real trip to get to work with the big three from there. I loved those guys growing up. He asked if I ever trained with my dad. My dad was Brent Knight, a damned great wrestler honestly, who somehow never managed to go anywhere. He was the best at making people look good, and I told Nigel that yes, I had trained with him. He taught me the ins and outs of wrestling...man do I miss him. Nigel told me he was starting a new company, and he wanted to talk to me about it, so we sat and talked wrestling for hours, and by the end of it he not only offered me a job as a wrestler, he threw the book at me.

I remember that first night, January 2020. It was Nigel as Frank doing "commentary" in the bar, Black Pirates Pub, Cal refereeing...he hadn't ever done it before, he was pretty bad, me, Felipe, Ace and Ernest. I had to drive to Chicago to pick Youngman up or he wasn't going to show. Felipe we had to buy a plane ticket from Mexico. We charged peanuts at the door, 60 people in the crowd, which honestly was shocking. The crowd reactions were unlike anything I had ever heard...especially the boos when I picked up that mic and started talking. Shit I was god awful, still am...that's why I've got Grimm. I'm a lot better than I was though. It was the best feeling ever though, or at least I thought it was, and it got me hooked. I did this as a hobby for a full year, I didn't see a dime for so long...We had three other guys back then too. Remmy and Alistair are still here, but "Nomad" is gone. He was a dick. I still remember when I met Alistair as well, I remember Nigel telling him "Kid, change your name and grow a beard, your career will thank you." Guy's had a job pretty much ever since. He's the GCPW champ right now.

I remember my buddy Logan made our first title belt. I still have that old thing. He was pretty good at leather work, and knew a thing or two about metal working as well. It was ugly as sin, but it was ours, and I loved it so much. I remember when Nigel handed it to Youngman when he first won it, and how proud I felt seeing that hideous piece of tin hanging over his shoulder. After that things just kept going up. We signed Malik and Jay, they were so much fun. I miss Jay, but I understand why he didn't leave CZCW. It was pretty sad to see a team like The Inner City Express split up though (but that might be nostalgia, them and The Montreal Mafia were my favourites when I was a kid). After that we got Rayne Man, and he's a fantastic person to have. He's done so much for us. Pretty sure October was when I knew we were really onto something special though. It was the first time I paid to bring Landon Mallory in from South Africa. He's one of my closest friends today, we've worked together ever since. That guy is a freak athlete, and when he beat Youngman it was insane. That's when we bought the new strap. We still have it, I love that thing. We hired Lynx too, he came in from Australia. Dude was chill, but I felt bad for him.

Near the end of the year my dad died. It really shook me up, I was messed up over it for a year. I kept wrestling every show, but I wasn't all there. It's why Felipe became the first Cruiserweight champ instead of me...I can barely even remember being small enough to be a cruiserweight, that was forever ago. It sucked especially because around that time we also hired Mimic and DWN, who were two of my heroes growing up. They both had my back through it all, so did Landon, and Rayne Man, Remmy, so many guys. It was great to have them around. I got one of my big landmark achievements too in that year, and I couldn't properly enjoy it because my dad wasn't there to see it, but me and Felipe beat the ICE to win the Tag straps. I remember afterwards I apologised to them, and they told me I deserved it. I sat in the locker room with my belt and cried. Too many emotions.

There were certainly upsides to that second year. I got noticed by a local talent scout and ended up doing some small TV roll, so that was pretty cool. My brother Alex made his debut as well, and I was pumped to have him around. We also got onto a streaming site called WrestleWorld, which proved to be massive for us .We were getting eyes on us all over North America. That's also when I had my sitdown with Face Nelson from ACPW and him and I worked some shit out and became sister companies. We still keep a good relationship with them to this day. Face is a great guy, though he's not the booker anymore. That company is wild. They signed Fuyuko Higa and then decided to change the world.

2022 we signed our first outside star to a contract and nabbed David (Stone). Me and him are almost the same age, and we've really bonded over the years. We also traded up from WrestleWorld to get onto OnDem. That's around when we got Sean (Martyn aka Skull DeBones) as well. I called him up to come in and help us out, and he told me he'd work with us, but he wanted a favour. He asked us to bring his character back, and he had selected his successor as well. Logan Wolfsbaine, the biggest baddest son of a bitch on our roster. It made sense, and Logan was down for it. He ran with it, and it's been awesome. People love it. I killed it in 2022 too. August I won the World Heavyweight title, after getting shredded and bigger, and that was just the start. I went on a tear that year. Vibert brought me onto his Podcast to talk to him, Sluchinski sat down with me too, and I didn't realise what was happening until the end of the year. I was named PWR's Young Wrestler of the Year, and was number forty three on the power five hundred. I didn't even know what to say or do.

This last year was basically a blur. I have a full creative team now, which is good because I went pretty much undefeated for an entire year there, and I can blame them. We did the brand split, and got a ton more big names in. We're officially the number one company in the world according to PWR. I kept the title all year, and put on a ton of bangers. Even got a six star match. Got Young Wrestler of the year again, along with being #4 on the Power 500, which was crazy. Thousands of wrestlers in the world, and I'm considered to be the fourth best out of all of them...How do you even deal with something like that?

I've got another defence coming up tomorrow night, Landon and JJ (Jared Johnson) this time. I'm mostly excited to get to see Scythe in action. He's only been here a couple of months, and I don't get to go to Cutting Edge that much. They keep me busy on Velocity and with appearances and whatnot. Last month he took the Canadian title off of DWN, and they've got a rematch. Should be pretty great...

I wish you could be here to see it...I miss you dad.

Branden Knight

He heard a knock at his door, and it drew him back to the present as he closed out the notepad app on his computer. His secretary was standing at the door staring at him with an annoyed look on her face. "Mr Knight, I tried to call you. Mr Harriet is here to see you." Branden would shake his head and sigh softly. He had gotten too absorbed in his writing, and he had forgotten he was supposed to meet the boss today for their End of Month meeting.

"Sorry Amanda, I was just thinking about...well it doesn't matter. Send Nigel in. Thank you." She would roll her eyes and walk out the door before the NCPW Hall of Famer Honest Frank himself walked through the door, the owner of Pro Wrestling ETERNAL flashing his trademark smile at Branden as he walked into the door. Knight reached into his desk and pulled out a couple of glasses and a bottle of Lagavulin sixteen year. It wasn't the most expensive scotch by any means, but he liked it and that was all that mattered. He handed Nigel one of the glasses as the boss took a seat on one of the couches in his office, Knight joining him.

"How are you settling into the new office Branden?" Nigel's voice was calm and kind, not yet affected by age, but still experienced enough. Branden had come to see him as a father figure, more so since the death of his real father when Nigel was the person who was there for him most. He was patient with him and kind, even though the loss affected Branden's performance for almost an entire year. He never gave up on him when he could have just hired someone else to do his job, and Branden appreciated him for that.

"It's still weird Nigel. I lived in Thunder Bay my entire life. I didn't even have my own apartment. Now I'm in Vancouver with a house and a view, and I don't have to do work at my desk in my tiny bedroom anymore, I can come to the PWE Headquarters building, or I have a really nice personal office at home, and it's just crazy to think of." Nigel took a look around the office, nodding in agreement before his eyes stopped on the ugly first PWE championship belt proudly displayed in a case behind Knight's desk. He chuckled and smirked.

"It sure is weird. I was never a rich man Branden. I never thought PWE would go this far. We spent eighty eight million dollars upgrading GameTube this month, and we're still projected to make a profit. We signed massive deals to pair up with big time streamers on the network as well. I heard you sat down with Steve DeColt last week to keep good relations with CWA. I'm not sure I get that, but it's an impressive thing."

"I want to show the world that Canada has the best wrestling in the world...and what better way to do that than to have all of the Canadian companies shine. We've got CWA, ACPW and us all making a big impact, and all showing the world what Canadian wrestling can do. I want all three of us to keep flourishing. " Knight took a sip from his scotch and let it sit under his tongue before he swallowed it, breathing and allowing the taste to explode along his palate before he continued. "Anyway, we're expecting 90,000 people, give or take a few hundred, for the CWC final this Saturday. That's a new record for us. Like you said, even though we switched up our schedule and haven't been selling as many tickets, our merch sales are huge and the network is just printing money. I've got the card all ready for tomorrow as well, and everyone knows their parts and what to do. I'm personally excited to see Newton fighting Scythe again. I still can't believe we've got him." Knight trailed off and Nigel laughed.

"You're one of the biggest wrestlers in the world. You've been on TV and in Movies. You're a two time Young Wrestler of the Year, and you're considered Number four on the Power five hundred. Do you know the only three guys who beat you on that list? Rocky Golden, who's literally been the top of SWF for 5 years now. He won his first TCW World Heavyweight title when you were seven years old. You have five time TCW World Heavyweight Champion Aaron Andrews, the only guy who I' say isn't old enough to realistically be your father. And then you've got Des Davids, a guy who is criminally underrated by SWF, but who was primed to be a massive football superstar before joining wrestling instead. You're immediately ahead of two time SWF World and 3 time USPW World Champion Steve Frehley, and you're beating names like Jay Chord, Wolf Hawkins and Tommy Cornell. And yet here you are, fanboying over a match between Scythe and Davis Wayne Newton. This business needs more people like you kid."

After saying his piece Nigel would finish his drink and stand up, walking towards the door. "It seems like you've got everything handled here. I trust that tomorrow will go well. Get some rest kid, you've got a big match tomorrow and you've certainty earned it." He would leave the office leaving Knight to think on his words. He looked at his bookshelf to his two Young Wrestler of the Year awards. He was pretty proud when he won the Cruiserweight Classic, but he'd booked that tournament. He was even more proud when him and Felipe won the George DeColt Memorial tournament, but again, he booked that one too...but these he didn't book. He worked hard, and he earned these. He had a lot of help, but they were something that were truly his. He would look over his notes for tomorrow's show one more time before turning off his computer and turning out the lights. Amanda had already left, and he was the last one out of the building again, save for maintenance. He was tired, but happy, and he drove home looking forward to seeing what 2024 would bring...

This is an ambitious project, and I'm hoping that I can make it work this time. This game started out as a combined Road to Glory and Local to Global, and while I haven't beat either of them yet, I'm a few months away from hitting Titanic most likely, and I have gotten a 100 rated match before, it's just a matter of time before it main events a bit event. Branden Chisoku is my user character (obviously) and when I started him out my intention was to show off a completely optimal R2G build of wrestler and company in a youtube series (which is being uploaded every couple of days.) This is the fruit of that labour...and boy was it interesting.

I originally didn't plan on making this a diary, but then I did something stupid. I got really excited when I went "I want to make the next Skull DeBones...I have Logan Wolfsbaine...I'm going to do it." and I hired Skull DeBones (as an "I have his blessing and he has creative on the character) and turned Wolfsbaine into my new Skull D'Bones. I got even more excited when I was able to sign Scythe away from SWF, and Diablo Duvak from CWA in order to bring him, Mimic and Jamie Atherton all under the same roof for the classic ACPW Fight Forever trio. I have had so much fun with this and have so many stories running through my head with this silly game, and I wanted to share it.

I love running companies in Canada. I am a Canadian boy, and as such it obviously holds a special place in my heart. My goal is not to put CWA out of business. ACPW is a Medium company currently and I consider them my sister company. I have bailed them out of debt a couple of times by sending them money to make sure they survived and they are also doing quite well (considering I pillaged all of their good workers). A new company popped up called Toronto Pro Wrestling, and I have convinced them to accept developmental workers from me. I started out in Ontario, but now that it no longer matters where I'm from because we'r'e so massive, I've moved my base to beautiful British Columbia. I personally am from Northern Ontario, and so that was a good place to start out, but now I don't need to do that anymore. My child company has moved to Manitoba, but they're fine. It didn't affect their current size (small) and wasn't an issue at all.

I'm going to ideally post shows every other day, with my developmental brand writeups being less in detail, and little snippits maybe from my child company once a month or so, just to keep on top of the champions and whatnot. If I sign new people, I'll post it here. I'm still poaching people from the big companies, and keeping an eye out for good rookies. Ideally I want to steal Sonny Wildside from CWA, Freddy Huggins and Mainstream Hernandez from SWF (And Spencer Spade if I can land him), Wolf Hawkins and Mighty Mo from TCW, and Zimmy Bumfhole, Jay Chord and Huey Cannonball from USPW. Those guys are my main targets. I know most of them have their contracts up within the year, I think a couple are coming up really soon.

Lets go through this as well. I don't know every person who did the renders I'm using, and I apologise if I miss you. If you notice, feel free to let me know! Thank you to Esteel first off, for creating the render I use for Branden Chisoku, I love this one so much and I'm so happy that you do what you do. Thank you to ReapeR and Christian_Shane for the title belts that I use. They are all beautifully done and I greatly appreciate both of you. In no particular order thank you to WillR0ck, King Bison, Shipshirt, L0nd0n, Parker Styles, Poputt, Bret99, Sockpuppet, JTLant, smw88, cooldude, JSilver and to anyone else I've missed for all of your beautiful renders and your hard work. Each and every one of you help to bring the CornellVerse to life for me, and help inspire me to do my writing. You all enhance the world that we love playing in so much.

As for how this is going to work...GOW will get recaps, nothing exciting, literally just this person beat this person. The ratings mean nothing due to the fact that they are all unimportant and therefore they all get penalised. I'll try to remember to update my champions and rosters every month at least, and will probably do predictions for big events (save for the first one which I'm going to post either tonight or tomorrow). I have a developmental company as well...they exist. I might mention them from time to time depending on if I feel something important happened.

Anyway, I have a tendency to ramble when I do these things...let's get into it! I hope you enjoy what I have for you, and thanks for stopping by.

PWE Cruiserweight Classic Final!

E440Mrs.jpgwQYOYYD.jpg

Duane Fry and Emma Chase sit at the desk together, their nearly decade of working together in SWF clearly obvious as they speak. They welcome the ninty thousand guests to the Sky Dome, the people here smashing their former record for attendance, and it was no surprise! They run down the card to come, talking about talking points like the recently debued Scythe who was now the Canadian Champion, the nearly year and a half that Branden Chisoku had held the World Heavyweight title, and of course the Cruiserweight Classic itself, which saw a fantastic bracket this year and will culminate in the showdown between Felipe Caballero, a previous winner of the tournament, and Mimic, a two time runner up.

XpWNvXX.jpgx8U3uzF.jpg

Hall of Immortals member Jack Bruce stands in the middle of the ring with the PWE Canadian Champion Scythe. He reminds everyone first that he himself is a seven time World Champion from the "Big Leagues" and he retired on top of the industry. His client here is also a former champion from the Big Leagues, and that the PWE fans should count themselves blessed to have the two of them gracing them this evening. He points out that a couple of stars like them aren't something you'd generally see on a stage like this, and therefore it is completly unjust that Scythe is not main eventing the show tonight. He says that if this injustice isn't corrected they were going to get Vengence on Sean Martyn...

W299RuZ.jpg

Right on queue, the massive General Manager of Mayhem makes his way to the ramp, his voice low and piercing as he speaks. He says that he knows full well who Jack Bruce and Scythe are, and where they come from. He reminds Jack Bruce that he had a bit of history with Scythe back in the day, and with Bruce as well. He says that in the other company they may have been massive, but here they'd still need to prove themselves to gain the main event spot. Scythe may be the champion of Mayhem, but that didn't mean he got to jump to the top of the entire company. He tells Scythe to get ready for his rematch with Davis Wayne Newton tonight, and maybe if he wins, down the line he can main event a major event. Bruce and Scythe are left seething as Martyn makes his way to the back and the show gets ready to begin properly.

Ontario Championship Match

3KCvKg3.jpgMsyTnXv.jpgxkpzOtI.jpg

Branden Smith vs Koshiro Ino

The show proper begins with a match that would have been amazing a few years ago when these men were both in their peak. Unfortunately these days they had both lost a couple of steps, and it made this match feel quite slow and a little bit sad to think of. They did their best to craft a great match, and in their defence it was much better than it could have been, but there was no way that this was going to steal the show tonight. Both men threw wild shots and relied heavily on rest h olds and submissions, which was disappointing because neither of them are exactly technicians. It ended mercifully in under ten minutes when Branden Smith put Koshiro Ino away with the Backdrop Driver, and won the Ontario Championship...which hopefully he will pass onto someone who can work a slightly longer match without passing out in the middle of the ring.

Winner: Branden Smith

Finish: Backdrop Driver for the Pinfall

Ladder Match for the Eternal Tag Team Championship

Hit and Run © vs Harlem Heat

An interesting combination of men to be fighting in a Ladder Match. The two former 4C workers looked right at home with the access to weapons, and Leftie Wilkes used the ladders to take to the skies and fly around the ring. Both members of Harlem Heat were clearly enjoying the freedom to use weapons, as the two hardcore wrestlers threw around chair shots as though they would never be allowed to do it again (which with our product, this is a legit thing that likely won't be able to happen again!). The two heavyweights would isolate Wilkes after he crashed and burned, getting pushed off the ladder and over the ropes to the hard ground below. They would put him through a ladder, snapping the ladder in half and likely Leftie with it. Both big men seemed to be solidly in control, and they climed both sides of a ladder, but Marc DuBois wouldn't allow them to grab the titles, and he would run up a ladder himself to catch them, grabbing the two of them and giving the giant men a massive superplex through a table on the side of the ring for a tremendous pop from the crowd.

All four men would be wiped out at this point, but Marc would crawl back towards the ladder and begin making his way up, Ali trying to stop him. Wilkes would get back up and set up a ladder from the corner to the one that Ali was trying to climb, running across the top of it and smashing Ali with a chair before giving him a cutter off of the ladder and allowing DuBois to reach the straps to get the win and retain the titles for Hit and Run.

Winners: Hit and Run

Finish: Marc DuBois retrieves the titles

Modern Cage Match for the National Tag Team Championship

The DeColt Legacy © vs Can-Am Air

The young energy in this match made it refreshing, and the four men in the match all seemed like they had something to prove. They were out to put on a better match than the admittedly quite good ladder match that proceeded them, and they did a pretty good job. The champions used their brawling style effectively in the cage, using it as a weapon to batter their smaller and quicker opponents. The flyers did what they do, putting on a show for the crowd as they jumped off of the cage and the corner. Remmy Skye showed once again why he is considered one of the most solid and reliable workers in the company, and he looked fantastic as he threw his body around like a ragdoll, selling his opponents offence perfectly. at one point Reilly Patton tried to escape and Xander climbed up to catch him, throwing him off of the cage as his cousin hit a DeColt 45 superkick on him. The DeColts would follow this up by setting up Remmy Skye for the Double DeColt 45 and Xander would pin him for the 3 in the best match on the card so far.

Winners: The DeColt Legacy

Finish: Double DeColt 45 to Remmy Skye for the pinfall.

A video package plays showing the highlights from the Cruiserweight Classic and the moments that had brought us to this moment, the final. Felipe talked about how he had been here before, and he was the first man in the company to ever win this tournament, and thus he knew what it took to win. He said that over the years he had always been known as a tag team wrestler, his team with Branden Chisoku of course being quite good, but when Chisoku rose to the top, Caballero's momentum stalled. He said that winning tonight was going to put him back on the hunt for glory, and put him one step closer to the World Heavyweight Championship.

Mimic says that he has been in the final of this championship twice before, having made it the last two years. The first time he lost to Branden Chisoku, and the second was to his arch rival, Diablo Duvak. He said that he needed to win tonight to prove that he could take it home. He was the head of the Quebec Invasion, and he couldn't go back to ACPW empty handed again. The boys would kick him out. It was now or never for Mimic...

Cruiserweight Classic Final

Felipe Caballero vs Mimic

This match was everything you would want from a tournament final and more. The story leading these two men here, stepping out of a friends shadow vs the redemption arc, with both man clearly needing the victory and hungry for it. There was no time to breah for a single second in this match, as two men who were known for being stunning high flyers as well as technicians forgot what a submission hold was and instead moved into the fact paced action that the company was originally built on. ACPW's Dark Messiah had a bit of an experience edge, and there were several times where he used that experience to gain the upper hand, but he couldn't count out the heart of the younger Caballero. Every move was countered and that counter was countered again, and they chained together such beautiful offence that the crowd was simply left stunned and in awe of what they were watching. They threw everything they had at one another, but neither man was willing to give up, both kicking out of each others finishers before Caballero would take Mimic up, hooking his arms under his so that Mimic was upside down, belly to back, and Caballero would drive him down and nail him with The Screwdriver (Vertibreaker), Mimic's own finisher. It was the closest two count that you would likely encounter, Mimic kicking out with the referee's hand centimetres from the mat. Mimic would return the favour, going to the top rope and hitting the Caballero Drop on Felipe, who would do the same thing, kicking out at the last possible second.

Just when the audience was beginning to get exhausted, the match would reach its crescendo, the two of them chaining counters of finishers until finally Caballero floored Mimic with the Darkness Falls, his tag team partner's brutal knee strike to the head, take to the top rope and hit the Caballero drop. There was no kick out this time, and the crowd errupted into chants of This is Awesome, PWE, and Fight Forever. Honest Frank came to the ring to award Caballero with the trophy for the second time in his career.

Winner: Felipe Caballero

Finish: Caballero Drop Pinfall

Jack Bruce and Scythe stand backstage. Bruce tells DWN that last month he had met a true force of nature, a supernatural being who could not be defeated and who should be avoided at all costs. He told The Triple Thread that unfortunately for him he had found himself in between an Apex Predator and its prize, the PWE Canadian Title. DWN should have learned last month when Scythe beat him down and left him broken, bloodied, half dead in the middle of the ring...but he hadn't learned. Bruce had tried to warn him...he told him to stay out of Scythe's way. He told him that for the sake of his pretty little wife and their lovely children, he should have left Scythe alone...now Lisa would have to live without her husband and little Sammy and Danny would have to grow up without their father. Jack Bruce was a good person, who only wanted the best for Davis...but Scythe? Scythe was a monster. Scythe was an animal. Scythe was an unfeeling killer. Davis Wayne Newton had signed his death certificate on Monday night, and Scythe was the reaper who had come to collect his due...

Davis Wayne Newton was shown in the locker room, a few of the boys around him. He said that in his thriteen year career he had never been quite as impressed as when he had met Scythe. There were a lot of wrestlerrs out there, and he had faced a fair few of them himself, but Scythe was something special...or so he thought. He was certainly impressive enough. He had a hell of a chokeslam and his size was intimidating...but Davis Wayne Newton wasn't scared. DWN had faced Logan Wolfsbaine, Harlem Haynes, Mighty Cavanough, and many other "big impressive" guys...and sure he had lost some of those matches, but he was a fighter. He had a lot to fight for, and when Scythe beat him last month, it had taken money away from him and his family. The beat downs over the month had left him unable to properly do his job at points, but he never gave up. He didn't care how big or scary or crazy Scythe was. He was The Triple Thread. HE was one of the greatest Canadian Wrestlers to ever lace up a pair of boots, and he was going to bring the Canadian Title back home to where it belonged...

30 Minute Iron Man Match for the PWE Canadian Championship

x8U3uzF.jpgCCs0pwQ.jpg3DmI0Os.jpg

Scythe © vs Davis Wayne Newton

An interesting yet effective way to describe this match could definitly be uncomfortable. Davis Wayne Newton used his smaller size and speed to his advantage early on, but every time he would begin to get any offence going, Scythe would batter him and attempt to put him through the mat with a chokeslam. Every time DWN hit the mat, you could hear the impact echo as flesh met canvas and his spine shook like a spring. Newton looked like a ragdoll out there, and there was genuine concern for the man from the crowd, who were completely silent throughout the mauling. This wasn't a wrestling match, it was a thirty minute execution. The first fall of the match came at the fifteen minute mark when Scythe hit a Choke Slam and then picked DWN back up, bringing hom down for a sickening Underworld Spike piledriver, which caused an audible gasp from the crowd as the three was counted. Newton would catch a second wind shortly after this, managing to sneak in few snap kicks into Scythe's leg, and then beginning to try to work on the big man's ankle to potentially get a submission. Scythe would easily drag DWN to the rope when he tried to submit him, but DWN would manage to roll up the bigger man, grabbing his pants as the referee counted three to tie up the match. It took thirty seconds for the next fall to take place as Scythe hit another chokeslam for a pinfall. Everry time Newton showed signs of life and of mounting a comeback, Scythe would just batter and beat him more, and at the last minute of the match he would hit him with another Underworld Spike and then pick up his lifeless body and throw it out of the ring, content to gain a third point by countout before the end of the match. Nobody could take their eyes away, and DWN sold it beautifully.

A video package is shown of Branden Chisoku hitting Mimic with the Darkness Falls before pinning him. It then becomes a montage of fifty nine more darkness falls/pinfall or Crossface submission endings to matches, with Chisoku having his hand lifted with his title in it at the end of each. Over the video, Chisoku speaks about Pro Wrestling Eternal. He says that he was one of the first people to ever set foot in a PWE ring, and that every little bit of the companies history had his fingerprints all over it. He says that him defeating Mimic for the title was simply destiny and that this reign was destined to last far longer. He said that Landon Mallory was one of his closest friends, and at the same time one of his most bitter foes. The two of them gave everything they had for the crowd, and Mallory had challenged him several times for this title in the past...and every time he came up short. He had his time at the top of the company, but that time had passed, and now was the time of Branden Chisoku, the Evolution of Wrestling.

He said that Jared Johnson was a tremendous wrestler and that he loved watching his work in NOTBPW when he was growing up with Julian Watson. It was amazing to watch two men who excelled at tag team wrestling so much, and it was a big part of what made Branden Chisoku get into wrestling, as everyone knew he loved tag team wrestling and he and Felipe Caballero had one of the most dominant tag teams in PWE history. Yes, Jared Johnson was a great tag team wrestler...but that was it. He was a tag team wrestler. He beloged in the tag division, not here challenging for the companies top prize. He could appreciate everything Johnson had done, and everything Mallory had done, and he loved and respected them both, but Evolution could not be stopped, and Chisoku was on a crash course with destiny to change the sport forever...and that certtainly wasn't going to end here tonight.

Main Event for the World Heavyweight Championship

Branden Chisoku © vs Jared Johnson vs Landon Mallory

Mallory and Johnson were fired up for this match, both of them looking irritated when they made their entrances and waited for "The Evolution of Wrestling" to make his way to the ring. Brother Grimm rapped over a live version of Chisoku's entrance music, and the crowd went insane when one of the most popular wrestlers in the world made his way into the ring. Both challengers looked hungry as Chisoku climbed through the ropes and taunted to the crowd, causing massive cheers. Anticipation of something awesome made its way through the building, as it generally did in PWE, and when the bell rang the three men started to feel one another out. This match wasn't like any of the ones that had come before. This wasn't a fast paced epic match like the CWC final, it wasn't a high octane brawl like the Ladder Match, or a mugging like what had come before. This was three men who not only know how to properly pace a match and build it better than any other, but who also knew one another so well that they could predict every move that was going to come.

Johnson tried to utalize his technical prowess over the two brawlers, and would take turns focusing on a body part on one of them. It seemed like for much of the match Chisoku took the brunt of the offence, but that was likely because every shot that hit him sounded like a gunshot and was sold like it too. While many champions put in this situation might wait on the outside of the ring as much as they can, Chisoku was opposed to this and instead made sure he was always a part of the action, as he didn't want either man to have a chance to steal a victory that he wasn't a part of. It almost happened at one point, when Mallory dropped Johnson with a Springbok Ram and went for the pinfall, getting a two before Chisoku managed to break it up. Johnson also managed to get Mallory into his Carolina Crossface and it looked like Mallory was going to tap, but Chisoku broke that up just in time as well. He would also eat a Springbok Ram as Mallory would go for a pin, then Johnson would run in, hit Mallory with the MDK Powerbomb, throw him out of the ring, and get Chisoku into the Carolina Crossface. Chisoku would fight through it and eventually poull himself to the ropes to force the break. Down the ending stretch of the match, after a half hour of brilliant wrestling and storytelling, The Evolution of Wrestling would finally put his seal on the match to finish it off. Johnson would hit Mallory with a Springbok Ram of his own and would go to pin him, but Chisoku would climb back into the ring and run across the mat, slamming his knee into the back of Johnson's head for a reverse Darkness Falls before picking him up and nailing him once more with a Darkness Falls proper, knocking the man unconscious before giving one to Mallory as well, and pinning Johnson for the victory and the sixty first defence of his world heavyweight championship. With the bodies of his opponents unmoving in the center of the ring, he would lift his title high to close out another show as the champ...

I actually really love this free Bison render for Leftie. I think it suits the image I have of him so well, and it's just fantastic. I am running the Future Workers mod, the Women's Revolution mod (NeoTokyo is doing quite well in my world, as is a relaunched AAA that has been set up in Australia), and any India expansion mods I could find. I love mods that enhance the cverse, and as I wrote him up, I always like trying to snag Mitsuo Kikkawa from the future workers mod...though this time he ended up getting picked up in Japan.

I'm glad to have you on board and thank you for your kind words!

A knee injury would eventually cost him in college, but he still managed to go pro, playing for the Tampa Bay Sportsballers but never really making it past the practice squad. His father would get him in to train with the legendary Rip Chord in Texas. Sadly, before he could debut, his father passed away, but PJ uses his father's finisher as a tribute to him. PJ was recently hired by PWE and is well liked back stage for his excellent attitude. It was said that he could make a mop look good in a match, and he was noticed and picked up by PWE, where he was sent to GCPW and repackaged as Ultimo Phantasma. With a tremendous new look and his fantastic skill, as well as a great tag team with Americana Jr, Phantasma looks like he could potentially hold gold in the future, which is amazing because in the match between him and the mop, the mop was more charismatic and had more star quality.</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

Blessed with fantastic charisma, tremendous ring presence, and a solid grasp of the fundimentals, he is very much like a younger version of his father. He has had great success teaming up with his cousin Danny, winning the National Tag Titles twice, but it is expected that he has the bigger upside of the two and the thought of him holding a world championship within the next couple of years isn't a stretch.</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

Monday Night Mayhem

Lionel Greenwood and CJ Weston call the action tonight as the two of them discuss Scythe's execution of DWN two nights ago, as well as Brandon Smith becoming the first ever Ontario champion, and Mimic's defeat in the CWC finals. They mention that tonight Malik Cash will defend the PWE Cruiserweight title against JOJI and Deadly Deadshot, Davis Wayne Newton is scheduled to be in a six man tag match tonight, and Mimic will face Canadian Champion Scythe in a non title match.

Jack Bruce and Scythe are stood in the middle of the ring. Bruce says that he was surprised to see Newton backstage today, but he wasn't surprised that he was walking with a limp and black and blue from his beating at the hands of The Reaper last night. He once again calls out Sean MArtin, telling him that Scythe had nothing to prove. The biggest company in the world had their Eisen (he says "eyes on" but makes it sound like Eisen) him and pushed him as their main champion, and now some nobody kid is main eventing over him?

W299RuZ.jpg

The General Manager shows up and tells them that he knows what Scythe has done, and like he said on Saturday he agrees that Scythe is a big star, but here he isn't the biggest star. He still needs to prove his place, but he'll have a chance tonight against a former world heavyweight champion in Mimic. Bruce says that Mimic lost last night, and if he couldn't beat that twig Caballero, how would he expect to even touch Scythe? He didn'tt want a murder to take place on live television, but if that's what Martyn wanted, Scythe would be happy to oblige.

He told him that their carrers had taken off together, and that they were both on top of the world, but Chisoku had something that Caballero had never had, and he wanted an opportunity to take it from him. Chisoku told his friend that he was proud of him for winning the CWC for the second time, and that he was right, Caballero had never held a main event title, and Chisoku did...but he didn't really feel Caballero had earned his shot. <em>Jack Bruce and Scythe stand backstage. Jack Bruce says that the winner of the main event tonight will get a shot at Scythe at St Valentines Day MAssacre. He says that Davis Wayne Newton is either extremely brave or extremely foolish for being in his match tonight. Nobody can deny the achievements of the triple threat, but his most recent achievement was being absolutely decimated by the Canadian Champion in their meeting last month. Last week he could barely even stand when he was in the ring. in 4C he was filled with potential, and he and Frankie Dee were a great team together. In FCW it was the same story, and here he finally seemingly achieved that potential when he finally won an elusive top title...unfortunately his path was cut off and smashed to pieces by The Reaper.</em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

Mimic is an eighteen year veteran of the sport, and in that time he is a four time ACPW Junior Heavyweight champion, a 2 time ACPW Tag Team Champion, a one time COTT Jr Heavyweight champion, a PWE Cruiserweight champion, Eternal Tag Team Champion, George DeColt Memorial winner and a 2 time PWE World Heavyweight champion. He was more than impressive, a tremendous talent that could easily main event any brand on any company...any of course, except for Mayhem. The problem with Mayhem? Scythe. The Reaper was the PWE Canadian champion, and he was a force of nature like nothing that Mimic had ever encountered. Even with his experience and his acolades, Scythe would still throw him around like a rag doll before putting him six feet under.</em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

Last but not least was Ernest Youngman. Touted as one of the men with the most potential in all of professional wrestling, the Chicago native had won two PSW National and 2 PSW World Championships in his time with the company before joining PWE for their debut show. He was the first ever PWE World Heavyweight Champion, and has one that title twice, with a combined year with the title. For years he was considered the leader of the Four Horsemen of PWE, until recently perhaps, and there was no doubt in Bruce's mind that he would become one of the best workers in the entire industry...but only if he stayed away from The Reaper. Were he to cross paths with Scythe it would significantly shorten his career, as well as his life expectancy, and he would have to sign up for unemployment, because he'd never get work in a wrestling company again. No matter who won, they would lose to the Reaper...</em></p><p> </p><p>

<em>Mayhem wrestler Malik Cash makes his way to the center of the ring. He has the Cruiserweight title over his shoulder. Duane Fry mentions that as the Cruiserweight Champion he is allowed to show up on any brand in the company to defend his title. He could even go to GCPW and defend it there if he wanted too. He was accompanied by a woman with brown hair who looked unhappy. She took a microphone and said that her name was Haley. She had been through a difficult time in her life recently, but Malik here had helped her out. She had been following his career closely and she knew that Malik Cash was Money, and she wanted to help his career. The way to start that was to prove that he was a fighting champion, and that meant beating the best cruiserweight the entire company had to offer. She said he was holding an open challenge to any cruiserweight in the back who wanted to try to make a name for himself. As this was said it drew out...</em></p><p> </p><p>

<em>After taking the loss, Chisoku looks unhappy, but makes his way back into the ring to help Caballero up...or so it seems, but instead of helping him to his feet, he brings Caballero to his knees and blasts him with a Darkness Falls. He then runs the ropes and hits him with another, and another, getting him from all four directions as Caballero's body lays lifeless on the ground below him. Chisoku takes a microphone and says "You don't have what it takes to beat me. You don't even have what it takes to stand." He lifts his title and the broadcast ends with a pan in on Caballero's lifeless face as Duane Fry calls for a medic...</em></p><p> </p><p>

Lionel Greenwood was unable to make the show tonight but it's okay, Mitch Naess will be taking his place on commentary tonight. He mentions that it's a pleasure to be here, and tells CJ that he's especially honoured to be able to be able to potentially call an Ernest Youngman match again, having worked with him through his entire early career and watched him blossom. He was very proud of Youngman, and he was intrigued to see the fallout from the interaction between him, Mimic and Scythe last week. CJ mentioned thatt there was a klot more to be excited about, such as Malik Cash's next opponent as he seeks to defend the Cruiserweight title across all brands every evening. He said the Tag Team Champions would be in action tonight against a couple of exciting up and comers in the company, and the Intercontinental champion Branden Smith would also be in action for the first time since his win last month. Naess looks confused by this and says "Wasn't it the Ontario title?" to which CJ replies "Does it look like we're in Ontario?"

Jack Bruce catches Sean Martyn when he's walking into the ring. He tells him that Mimic and Ernest Youngman clearly have some issues, and he'd very much like to make sure that Mimic isn't going to ruin the match between Youngman and Scythe next weekend. Sean Martyn says that he has a plan for that, and tonight they'll be facing each other one on one in the main event to settle their issues hopefully once and for all. If Youngman wins, Mimic will be banned from the match. If Mimic wins, he will take Youngman's place and Youngman will be banned from the match...

Branden Smith & Harlem Heat vs Hank Gunn & Team Brilliance

-This match was a good use of Smith and Ino, allowing them to sit back a little bit and let the younger guys do the heavy lifting.

-Gunn and Pryce sharing a moment in the ring was fun. They had history in CWA, and brought a lot of energy to the match.

-Sayeed Ali trys to sneak a weapon in, but Ino notices it and floors him before kicking the weapon out of the match. All of the men hit their finishers

-Price hits a Curb Stomp on Brandon Smith for the pin. Naess mentions this must mean he'll be the first challenger for that IC title.

Malik Cash and Haley make their way to the ring. Haley takes a microphone and says that its time for the part of the show that draws Money for PWE, the part of the show where Malik Cash comes out here, defends his Cruiserweight Title, and proves once again why he's the MVP of PWE. She says that it isn't right that he's never had a crack at the top of the card, but it doesn't matter, because he's making the Cruiserweight title more prestigeous than either the Canadian or Heavyweight titles. She says that anyone from the back who wants to have their stock risen for a night should come out, and face off with Money Malik Cash...

Match 2 - Cruiserweight Championship

5vcow1M.jpgFtp2WG0.jpgvsCPJH3.jpg

Malik Cash vs Darryl Devine

Malik Cash seems to get better with every match.

-Instead of relying on his flying abilities, Devine uses his technical prowess to try to ground Cash, working over his legs.

-Cash does a good job of selling his legs here, having troubble climbing the ropes, collapsing on the occasional flying spot. Devine has plenty of opportunity to capotilize on his work.

-Devine eventualy goes for his Devine Dream Drop, but Cash manages to roll out of the way, forcing Devine to crash and burn.

-Cash locks in a hold, working Devine's back.

-Devine goes to suplex Cash, but Cash slips out and nails Devine with a pele kick, knocking him down.'

-Deadshot and JOJI look like they're been wrestling as a team forever, but this is the first time they've ever worked together. They have excellent chemistry.

-The newcomers look very impressive, getting to show off a lot of their fast paced offence.

-Leftie Wilkes engages in a high flying showdown with Deadshot before tagging in DuBois, who takes Deadshot to the ground and begins to work on his ankle.

-Deadshot is isolated in his enemies corner for a while, and they work him over for a while.

-JOJI is a good hot tag, exploding into the match and getting a lot of momentum before having his wings clipped by DuBois hitting him with a hassive German Suplex.

Davis Wayne Newton vs Kamikaze vs Rayne Man

-All three men do a good job here, but apparently the announcers are bad...even though Mitch Naess is the second best announcer you can hire.

-Davis Wayne Newton looks like he's been through a lot recently, he's still selling his beating last month and the psychological trauma by missing spots he'd never normally miss and making simple mistakes.

-Kamikaze is a ball of energy, bouncing between the ropes and using his smaller size completely to his advantage against the two middleweights.

-Rayne Man goes to powerbomb Kamikaze, but hie gets a huricanrana for his troubles.

Main Event - 20 Minute Time Limit

vVVluwJ.jpg vs AacZTwl.jpg

Ernest Youngman vs Mimic

-This fued is white hot, everyone wants to see what's goiong to happen tonight as Mimic and Youngman clash.

-These are two workers at the absolute top of their craft, both masters of all styles of wrestling.

-Apparently the announcing in this match is completely attrocious...so let's see how that might play out.

-Youngman goes to hit Mimic with The Hit, CJ misnames the move, and then starts talking about Thursday's show instead as Mimic goes to follow this up with a cutter. which Youngman stops, pulls Mimic back in and nails him with a belly to back suplex.

-Naess forgets Youngman's name and history, saying that he's Edgar Blake and worked in FCW before coming here. Meanwhile, in the ring, Mimic is setting up Youngman for The Screwdriver.

-The announcers forget to mention the match stipulation is a 20 minute time limit match.

-Mimic hits a screwdriver but Youngman kicks out last second, and the announcers no sell this. The same happens when Mimic kicks out of The Hit.

-After 20 minutes of phenominal wrestling, the time limit is reached, and the announcers seem confused as to why this has happened.

Winner: Draw

Match Rating: 79

This match really pissed me off because CJ Weston is a good colour commentator, and Mitch Naess is a fantastic announcer, and there's no reason that Ernest Youngman getting a 97 performance and Mimic getting a 94 should have led to this rating. I looked at the dirt sheet and the announcing was the only thing that penalized it...It makes zero sense. Sure, I get low experience being an issue, but like...This match could have gotten anywhere from a 95-100 if the announcing was better...Why wasn't it a high 80s? Or a 90?

After the time limit draw both men gather themselves in the ring, looking at one another confused. The lights go out and Scythe appears in the middle of the ring, both men moving to attack him as he catches them both by thir throats, lifting them as though he's about to perform a double choke slam, but then putting them back down. The lights flicker again and he's gone, Youngman and Mimic in the ring alone. Nease asks what the draw could mean when it comes to the championship match next Saturday, and everyone would have to tune in next Monday to find out...

If Chisoku was ever really his friend then he should sack up and get his ass out here in the ring and face Felipe, and give him an explination for that unwarrented beating.

Grimm comes out to say something but Chisoku stops him. He walks down and stands face to face with his tag partner, telling him that Caballero didn't know what it was to carry a company on his back. Caballero was a great worker, one of the best, it was true. He was a very nice person, and a good tag team partner...but he wasn't a top guy. He didn't have what it took to shoulder a company. He didn't know what it meant to be a champion, and so Chisoku had to show him...and that's what he would do.

o88qvIA.jpgcXrLrif.jpgQ9SuZXy.jpg

As he says this three men hit the ring, boxing in Caballero. Xander DeColt, Danny DeColt and David Stone all begin closing in on Caballero, who realizes what's going on and runs to try to knock down Danny. The other three men close in and beat Caballero down inside the ring, Chisoku leaving it mostly to the other three. Stone nails him with a Stone Cutter as the DeColts hold him up, then Stone picks him back up and the DeColts hit a Double DeColt 45. Chisoku comes in and kneels over Caballero's prone body, telling him "it's Evolution Filipe...only the strong survive...and you're not strong enough." Before delivering a massive Darkness Falls and raising his fist as the other three follow suit, touching fists as the show goes off air.

Branden lists his accomplisihments, his two tag team titles, his cruiserweight classic win, his two Young Wrestler of the Year awards, and of course his current 502 day reign as World Heavyweight Champion. He says that he is the Evolution of Wrestling, and that in order to grow he needed to shed the ancor holding him back. He says that he has surrounded himself with other people like himself. He mentions David Stone first, as the son of Dan Stone Jr, one of the greatest Canadian wrestlers to ever live. He says that David will undoubtedly be one of the biggest stars in the wrestling world. He next talks about two time tag team champions Danny and Xander DeColt, both also sons of legends Alex and Steve DeColt respectively. The two of them were charismatic and tremendous workers, only getting better with every passing day...and then there was himself. Branden Knight, the son of Brent Knight, the best Canadian wrestler to never make it to a major company. He was bringing the prestige to the Knight name that they deserved, and were his dad still alive he'd be proud of his son today, and to honour him he would stop hiding behind a wrestling name, and simply be who he was.

Knight says that this stable isn't the future, they are the now. They are the fastest rising force on the planet...and starting with Felipe Caballero next week, the entire roster would learn to respect that.
