HONOR FIGHTING CHAMPIONSHIP

Using the 1989 Globalverse reset, i will be playing through the story of MMA from the beginning of time. I have modified the database very slightly, each company will debut randomly as default, but i have changed all starting finances randomly from 250k to 10 Million. By random, i mean i just clicked, scrolled, clicked. Only 1 company is set to begin with 10 Million. I will begin my company with $500,000 in the bank. I have played this database before, replicating the early days of UFC with my created company UFA. This time, however after the success of my Rizin FF play through i have opted to begin in Japan. The difficulty is already against me as to begin there are only 8 fighters willing to sign with me without requesting them to move base. I aim to use this option as little as possible, building a base roster of homegrown stars. Can i build a company as successful as UFC starting in Japan? Join me as i try to find out.

Honor Fighting Championship [Honor FC] will host their bouts inside a ring, not a cage. There will be no rules with each bout having a 30 minute time limit. All strikes are legal. If neither fighter can finish their opponent by the 30 minute time limit, a draw decision will be made. A decision victory can be gained by Knock out, submission or referee stoppage. Honor FC aims to bring the best of each discipline to Japan to compete to become the best in the world.

*I've had a new computer system and unable to transfer the date hence the restart, I've been absent for some time but shall begin again. Fortunately I was only 4 or 5 events in. Apologies for double posting, I look forward to restarting.

Thursday, Week 2, January 1989

Fukunagi Akihiro - "For years, many have claimed to train in the best of disciples, for years many have claimed to be the best fighter, the best warrior. Now the time is upon us, the time to find out who truly is "The Best". This March, Honor Fighting Championship will bring you something you have never seen before, something you never thought you would ever see. A tournament of warriors, much like the fantasy's you see in the movies on your screens. A battle of the ages, a test of the disciplines. A WAR! This March, 8 of Japans best fighters will go head to head for one night only to find out who truly is the the best. HONOR brings you HONOR Hajimari - Faitochanpion (Honor Beginning - Fight Champion). 8 Men, 1 ring, 1 winner, 1 night only"

Wednesday, Week 4, February 1989

Fukunagi Akihiro - "Unfortunately, as in most cases in life plans can often fall apart. Yoshinobu Tanaka will not be competing in HONOR's Faitochanpion tournament. We have been forced to withdraw Tanaka due to concerns over an undisclosed injury. We have decided to replace Tanaka with Mantas Andreyev. With a National Champion Sambo pedigree in his home nation of Russia, Andreyev will be the only gaijin (foreigner) competing in the tournament. This will add an extra interest point as Andreyev will enter with an added target on his back. The rules have now been set and I can divulge this now. Each bout will have a 60 minute time limit. If no winner has been named by the end of this 60 minutes, judges will decided a winner to advance. There are no exclusions per fight rules with an anything goes style of fight encouraged. A fighter can win via judges decision after 60 minutes or within the time limit by way of knockout, submission or referee stoppage. There can only be 1 winner."

Fukunagi Akihiro - "What a show from 8 spectacular warriors of the ring. Congratulations to Dokuohtei Kuroki on becoming the Faitochanpion (Fight Champion). Dokuohtei has shown the world that Japanese Jiu-Jitsu reigns supreme and that he can force any man to submit, including late addition and Russian Sambo expert Mantas Andreyev who captured the only non submission victory against Koji Hashiranti. We said that this was for one night only, but how can it be after that display? HONOR will be back!

Kuroki came into this event hungry for revenger after losing out to Yanamoto at Faitochanpion II, but Yamamoto has shown that it was not a strike of luck, defeating the former and first faitonchanpion in the final. This wraps up a solid debut year for HONOR, we're hearing rumor's of other companies forming and following suit. We have created something unique here, a clash of sports, a war of warriors. Mixed. Fukunagi Akihiro - "The winds continue to change! Jerezo has cemented himself in history as the Kyukyoku no Faitochanpion after defeating both former Chanpions Dokuohtei Kuroki and Go Yamamoto. HONOR had an impressive show after both Hebi-kyu and Juniahebi-kyu grand prixs debuted. Jerezo has already discussed a bout with Hebi-kyu faitochanpion Aki Hida or Juniahebi-kyu faitochanpion Yasushi Ashida if HONOR were to be interested in showcasing the greatest fighter once more. "The winds continue to change" is a statement floating around our company and it is true. We must evolve in order to grow, HONOR would like to continue the split weight divisional bouts to allow for more talented fighters from around the world to compete inside an HONOR ring"

HONOR FIGHTING CHAMPIONSHIP

Tuesday, Week 4, October 1990

HONORFC NEWS - "Breaking news today as former Faitochanpion and current Kyukyoku no Faitochanpion Jerezo has chosen his next opponent. The Brazilian has set his sights on Aki Hida, the winner of HONOR's Hebi-kyu Faitochanpion. Jerezo spoke out in a recent interview declaring that ruling the Hebi-kyu division would be much more beneficial than going after Yasushi Ashida of Juniahebi-kyu division. Jerezo would rather take on Hida than wait for Ashida to return to competition. HONOR are said to be strongly considering legitimizing this bout and the Hebi-kyu division with an official belt handed to the winner. Unlike previous belts for Faitochanpions, this belt is said to be one set for consistent action. Current belts have been awarded after successfully winning a tournament with the next tournament winner taking the mantel. With the split weight divisions throughout HONOR, it is likely that we will see a boxing style champion going forward, with only one man carrying the belt until he loses or vacates. With an official card yet to be announced, HONOR are keen to return to New Years Eve action and this will likely be the backdrop for the next event."

Thursday, Week 1, November 1990

HONORFC NEWS - "With HONOR's next event just short of 2 months away, Fukunagi Akihiro (HONOR CEO) had some news for fight fans. As of this next event, each bout duration will be decreased from 60 minutes total. There have been a few occasions where fans have been left dismayed at the lack of action throughout an hours long bout. Keen to encourage more wars than bores, Akihiro has announced that the new format will see 2 x 15 minute rounds with an extra 15 minute decider round if necessary."

HONOR Hebi-kyu Taiketsu

Sunday, Week 4, December 1990 - Kanto, Japan

Jinzaburo Sakata [0-0-0] vs Qingsheng Jeng [2-0-0]

Juniahebi-kyu Semifainaru

Jeng has defeated both of his previous opponents via submission and has been hand picked as one of the best that China can offer. Jinzaburo Sakata will make his official debut and both men are set to light up the Juniahebi-kyu division

Genichi Mizushima [1-0-0] vs Jose Ochoa [2-0-0]

Juniahebi-kyu Semifainaru

Japanese kickboxer Mizushima is one of few men on this card to secure a striking victory. He will take on Muay Thai fighter Ochoa who boasts a 2-0 record, with a win by both knockout and submission.

Morihiro Fujikawa [2-0-0] vs Tadamas Yamada [5-1-0]

Hebi-kyu Semifainaru

Fujikawa will no doubt look for a flashy head kick as he has done so previously, with a TKO and a KO victory to his name, he will face possibly the hardest pick from both tournaments in Tadamas Yamada. Yamada was forced out of last months Kyukyoku Faitochanpion tournament with an undisclosed injury and will return with Jerezo in his mind. After losing to the Brazilian, Yamada set his sight on avenging his loss last month. Now back in action, Yamada has guaranteed victory here with Jerezo and the Hebi Kyuoza in sight.

Kenji Toma [0-0-0] vs Mantas Andreyev [2-2-0]

Hebi-kyu Semifainaru

Despite Toma debuting in MMA, he is heavily favored to defeat the Russian Andreyev quickly and with style. However, experience can often be the deciding factor and "the godfather of Russian combat" will look to slow down the much younger Japanese debutant.

HEBI KYUOZA

Aki Hida [2-0-0] vs Jerezo [5-0-0]

Jerezo has defeated 3 former Faitochanpions on his way to becoming Kyukyoku Faitochanpion (The Ultimate Fight Champion). Now he is set to face Aki Hida for The Hebi Kyuoza (Heavyweight Championship) as the 2 face off on New Years Eve to become the first ever Hebi Kyuoza. All of Jerezo's 5 victories have come by way of submission, most notably 3 armbars. Can the Brazilian remain undefeated against Japans Aki Hida. Hida won both bouts on the way to victory in last months Hebi-kyu tournament by decision. The world class wrestler may have a step up in competition with Jerezo but hes already proven he will grind out a bout if it secures his victory.

HEBI KYUOZA

Aki Hida [c] [3-0-0] vs Tadamasa Yamada [7-1-0]

Undefeated, reigning and defending Hebi Kyuoza (Heavyweight Champion) Aki Hida shocked the world when he defeated Jerezo. As planned, Hida nullified all of the Brazilians strikes by dragging him down to the mat for 60 minutes. With the new time limits in place, Hida will need to work faster and harder to empty his opponents tank. His opponent being former Faitochanpion Tadamasa Yamada. Yamada missed out on the last opportunity to fight for gold, forced to pull out due to injury. His replacement eventually losing in the final to now Chanpion Hida.
