Week 1, June, 2013

Live from Josten's Center in Lake Buena Vista, Florida

Attendance: 1.200 (sellout)

Announcers: Mike Tenay and Taz

fuRYG0hs.jpgvs.fArLA7as.jpg

This week's edition of TNA Impact goes straight to in-ring action as Samoa Joe takes on Homicide. The announcers spend the early part of the match talking about how Jeff Jarrett has been wanting Joe to join The Originals, and Mike Tenay notes that it almost looked like Joe was considering the offer last week on Impact. Taz says that Joe would be a fool not to consider it because, love him or hate him, you can't deny the fact that Jeff Jarrett is a man who knows how to win. This is a solid opening match that sees Homicide put up a fight, but in the end he falls victim to Samoa Joe's Coquina Clutch and Joe picks up the submission victory to kick off Impact.

Samoa Joe defeated Homicide at 7:34 by submission with the Coquina Clutch (59)

After the match, Jeff Jarrett makes his way out from the back and he grabs a mic on the way to the ring. Jarrett says that he's given Joe time to think about his offer, but now it's time for Joe to make a decision. Joe hesitates for a few moments, but then tells Jarrett that he has considered his offer, but he's turning it down. Joe says that if he can't do this without the help of someone like Jarrett, then he shouldn't be doing this at all. Jarrett tells Joe to not let a single victory go to his head because this offer won't be coming around again. Joe just stares at Jarrett and then he goes to leave, but that's when Jarrett attacks him from behind!

aMYPHjYs.jpgiftyUfzs.jpg

Jarrett continues the attack in the ring as Daniels and Kazarian hit the ring as well and join in the attack on Samoa Joe as well. It's a three on one beatdown on Samoa Joe by The Originals here, but then...

xPT9tVhs.jpgdh7AdcTs.jpg

Chavo Guerrero and Hernandez, the TNA Tag Team Champions, hit the ring to even the odds for Joe. With a fair fight now on their hands, The Originals quickly bail out of the ring and retreat back up the ramp. (44)

qjuU40Qs.jpgSYyMyqWs.jpgiMecyR4s.jpg

We cut to somewhere in the back where Bully Ray is addressing Knux. Bully says that he expects Knux to take care of Kurt Angle later tonight and make sure that, once Bully beats Sting later tonight, Kurt Angle will be easy pickings for Bully at Slammiversary. (65)

2JaIlf7s.jpgvs.rf4GbUKs.jpg

X-Division action is up next as the X-Division Champion, Jeff Hardy, faces off against Petey Williams in a non-title match. The action is fast-paced early on as Petey takes the fight to Hardy, with Mike Tenay pointing out that a win for Petey Williams here tonight would almost certainly position him for a shot at the X-Division Championship. It doesn't quite happen for Petey, however, though he does get a couple of near-falls on Hardy. But, in the end, it's Hardy who is victorious in this one as he puts Petey away with the Swanton Bomb.

Jeff Hardy defeated Petey Williams at 7:18 by pinfall with the Swanton Bomb (65)

4QG4Z9Qs.jpg

As Hardy celebrates his win in the ring, the big screen suddenly flickers to life and the Masked Man appears. The Masked Man, speaking in a distorted voice, says that he wants a shot at Jeff Hardy's X-Division Championship, but he also knows that Jeff Hardy wants to know his identity. The Masked Man says that if Jeff accepts his offer for a match at Slammiversary, then the Masked Man will unmask in the middle of the ring next week on Impact. Without hesitation, Hardy grabs a mic and accepts and we've got another match set for Slammiversary! (66)

kJMlbVps.jpg8eiV8l8s.jpg

We cut to the backstage area where Kurt Angle is walking as Mike Tenay announces that Angle will be in action next against Knux. Angle is then approached by Christy Hemme, and Christy asks Kurt his thoughts about Bully Ray telling Knux to take him out earlier. Kurt says that he knows exactly the kind of game that Bully Ray and the Aces & Eights are playing. But Kurt also says that Bully Ray is going to be disappointed tonight because he's not going to let Knux--or anyone else--stand in his way and he will be making it to Slammiversary for his World Title shot--it's true, it's DAMN true! (51)

8eiV8l8s.jpgvs.iMecyR4s.jpg

That match is up next and Knux attacks Angle on the entrance ramp as Angle was making his entrance. Knux beats Angle all the way down to the ring and the match officially gets under way. It's immediately clear that Knux isn't trying to win this one--he's simply trying to do as much damage to Angle as possible, which Taz praises him for on commentary. Angle begins to fight back, however, and pretty soon Knux is on the defensive...

WuRKaALs.jpg8H8bRn1s.jpg

Wes Brisco and Garrett Bischoff run down to the ring to help Knux, but Angle is able to duck their attacks and take them both out with german suplexes. Knux gets one for good measure as well, and then Angle applies the Ankle Lock on Knux, who is forced to tap out.

Kurt Angle defeated Knux at 6:06 by submission with the Ankle Lock (67)

Taz can't believe his eyes as Angle managed to overcome three members of the Aces & Eights here tonight, but Angle's luck soon runs out as Bischoff and Brisco re-enter the ring and attack again, this time managing to blindside Angle. Knux joins in as well it looks like Bully Ray might get his wish after all...

tvhBGpws.jpg

But then James Storm runs down to the ring to make the save, hitting superkicks on both Garrett and Brisco before Knux chooses to retreat rather than to get a taste of Storm's superkicks as well. As Angle gets back to his feet, Mike Tenay hypes up the fact that Kurt Angle will challenge for the World Heavyweight Championshp at Slammiversary against the winner of tonight's main event. (47)

9TGBP98s.jpg

Gail Kim's music hits and Gail comes down to the ring. Once in the ring, Gail gets on the mic and she announces that she wants a shot at the Knockouts Championship. Gail says that if Velvet wants to be taken seriously as a champion, she'll have no choice but to accept Gail's challenge.

wD0WBZ8s.jpg

Tara's music then hits and Tara joins Gail in the ring where she tells Gail that, if she wants a title shot, then she needs to get in line--and in case she's confused, the line starts BEHIND Tara. Mike Tenay notes that, while these two helped each other out not that long ago, there doesn't seem to be any love lost between them now.

UoqKSQ0s.jpg

Mickie James' music then hits and Mickie comes down to the ring as well. Mickie says that as long as everyone is claiming title shots, she's throwing her name in the hat as well. Tension rises between the three women in the ring, who all want the same thing, but that tension is broken slightly as...

GQYxEKxs.jpg

Velvet Sky's music hits and the Champion herself makes her way out from the back to stand at the top of the entrance ramp. Velvet says that she is, and wants to be, a fighting champion and she says that she accepts all of their challenges and that she'll prove herself by defeating all three of them at Slammiversary! (46)

X1GjTJks.jpgvs.9UjEJmus.jpg

Magnus faces Bobby Roode in one on one action next and it is a solid back and forth match with both men putting in a good effort. The crucial point of the match comes when Magnus misses a diving elbow drop from the top rope, which allows Roode to take control of the match. Roode stays on the attack, not allowing Magnus a chance to recover, and Roode ultimately puts Magnus away with the Pay Off for the pinfall victory.

Bobby Roode defeated Magnus at 7:53 by pinfall with the Pay Off (53)

The match is over, but instead of celebrating, Bobby Roode grabs a mic and says that he's THE single most under-appreciated talent in TNA. Roode says that that's going to change soon, one way or another! (68)

XPbwNMds.jpg4UJwwICs.jpg

We cut to the backstage area where Sting is seen getting ready for his World Title match later tonight when Hulk Hogan walks in. Hogan asks if Sting is ready for tonight, and Sting says that he's more than ready and that he'll bring the World Title back home to TNA. Hulk tells Sting to watch his back out there and to not expect Bully Ray to play fair, but Sting says that he knows exactly what he's getting himself into--after all, it's not the first time he is going up against an egomaniacal World Champion with a large group of people around him. Hogan can't help but give Sting a smile, and then he tells Sting to "go get it done out there, brother". (69)

ja5tuzOs.jpgvs.k0cCvtbs.jpg

Back in the ring, Chris Sabin faces Eric Young next and Mike Tenay and Taz talk about how Sabin turned his back on his long-time friend and tag team partner, Alex Shelley, at Sacrifice. Taz says that sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do, and he thinks Sabin will be better off without Sabin. Eric Young puts up a decent fight here, but it's clear that this new version of Chris Sabin is willing to do anything to succeed, including taking liberties and cheap shots behind the referee's back. Eventually, EY falls victim to the Future Shock as Chris Sabin picks up an impressive win here tonight.

Chris Sabin defeated Eric Young at 5:51 by pinfall with the Future Shock (43)

Chris Sabin grabs a mic after the match and calls out Alex Shelley, saying that if Shelley has a problem with him, why not be a man about it and come out here and face him. Shelley doesn't show up and Mike Tenay says on commentary that Sabin knows full well that Alex Shelley isn't here tonight. After waiting for a bit, Sabin says that that's exactly what he thought; Alex Shelley isn't man enough to come out and face him and THAT is exactly why he ditched him like a bad prom date--because Shelley is nothing but a joke! Sabin drops the mic and heads to the back as Mike Tenay on commentary is utterly disgusted by Sabin's actions and attitude. (52)

8YU7zdBs.jpg

The Aces & Eights music hits and Mr. Anderson makes his way down to the ring for a promo. Anderson says that this thing between him and AJ Styles is only ever going to end one way. Anderson says that AJ is playing with fire by messing with him, and now it's time for "The Lone Wolf" to get burned. Anderson challenges AJ to a match at Slammiversary, vowing to turn "The Lone Wolf" into a "Scared Little Puppy!"

010IsBGs.jpg

Anderson's words eventually bring AJ Styles out from the back and AJ's got a smile on his face as he approaches the ring. Once in the ring, AJ says that Anderson make all the cute little insults that he wants, but at Slammiversary...Anderson will be the one lying face-down on the ground when it's all said and done. AJ accepts the challenge and we've got another HUGE match set for Slammiversary as Anderson and AJ stare each other down in the ring. (67)

TNA World Heavyweight Championship

qjuU40Qs.jpgw/SYyMyqWs.jpgvs.XPbwNMds.jpg

It's main event time and what a main event it is as Bully Ray defends the TNA World Heavyweight Championship against "The Icon" Sting. Mike Tenay reminds everyone that if Bully Ray walks off and gets himself counted out like he did at Sacrifice, Bully will still lose the title here tonight. For all of his big talk, Bully Ray seems reluctant to face off with Sting here tonight as he just about uses every stall tactic in the book. When the match finally does get under way, it's all Sting early on as "The Icon" takes the fight to the leader of the Aces & Eights, and Bully soon finds himself outside the ring again, getting comforted by Brooke while Sting stands tall in the ring. Bully finally manages some offense thanks to a distraction by Brooke, and Bully begins to slowly and methodically wear Sting down. This continues for several minutes and it looks like it's only a matter of time before Bully is victorious, but Sting being Sting, he refuses to give up and he eventually fights his way back into the match. Sting builds some serious momentum with a series of Stinger Splashes in the corner, and Bully Ray staggers out of the corner and right into a one-handed bulldog. Sting wastes no time getting Bully back to his feet and he sets him up for the Scorpion Deathdrop...

Io2DFMFs.jpg

But Devon suddenly hits the ring and attacks Sting from behind, leaving the referee with little choice but to call for the disqualification.

Sting defeated Bully Ray at 11:55 by disqualification when Devon got involved. Bully Ray retains the TNA World Heavyweight Championship (72)

The match is over and the Aces & Eights have once again used their superior numbers to their advantage. It doesn't look like Bully and Devon are done just yet, but before they can do anything else...

4UJwwICs.jpg

Hulk Hogan's music suddenly hits and Hogan makes his way out from the back, looking none too pleased. As Hogan enters the ring, Bully and Devon exit on the opposite side and make their way back up the ramp. In the ring, Hogan gets on the mic and says that he is getting sick and tired of watching this BS happening week in and week out. Hogan tells Bully Ray that he knows he'll have his hands full with Kurt Angle at Slammiversary, but Hogan has one more thing that he wants Bully to focus on. Hogan says that he wants Bully to pick two members of the Aces & Eights to represent the group in a tag team match at Slammiversary against "The Icon" Sting...and HULK HOGAN, BROTHER!!!!

Mike Tenay goes absolutely crazy on commentary at the prospect of Hogan returning to the ring at Slammiversary, and the crowd is right there with him. And with that HUGE challenge laid out, this week's edition of Impact comes to an end. (74)

Bully Ray © vs. Sting

Comment: I’m sorry to hear about your recent misfortunes. I enjoy your content, but real life does come first. Anyway, Eric Bischoff said if Bully gets counted out again, he’ll lose the title. So, in true corrupt heel fashion, he will lose by DQ instead. Sacrifice indicated to me that Bully isn’t over enough to beat Sting, so I doubt the champion wins clean this time.

Nailed it! Good call! :)

Week 2, June, 2013

Live from Jim Brandon Indoor Arena in West Palm Beach, Florida

Attendance: 1.000 (sellout)

Announcers: Mike Tenay and Taz

This week's edition of TNA Impact opens up to a full ring as the entire Aces & Eights group have filled the ring. The center of attention if the President and reigning World Heavyweight Champion, Bully Ray, who's got a mic. Bully says that at the end of last week's Impact, Hulk Hogan made the biggest mistake of his life. Bully calls Hogan a delusional old man who let his ego get the better of him, and now he's put himself with his back against the wall. Bully says that a nicer guy might give Hogan a chance to reconsider--but Bully isn't a nice guy! Bully says that Hogan shouldn't have opened his big mouth and now he'll have to face two of Bully's brothers at Slammiversary--no takebacks! Bully then switches his focus to Kurt Angle, saying that Kurt may have gotten lucky against Knux last week, but his luck is gonna run out at Slammiversary when Bully both beat and humiliate Angle in front of the entire world. (67)

8eiV8l8s.jpg

Bully is then interrupted as Kurt Angle's music hits and the number one contender makes his way out onto the stage. Kurt tells Bully that him beating Knux last week had nothing to do with luck, just like he won't need to rely on luck to beat Bully this Sunday at Slammiversary. Kurt says that the end is coming for the Aces & Eights and Slammiversary will be a major defeat for them in this war because not only will Kurt reclaim the TNA World Heavyweight Championship for TNA, but Sting, Hogan and AJ Styles will all be victorious in their matches as well, and they'll hand Bully and his "brothers" a list of defeats they won't be able to recover from. Bully tells Angle to step into the ring and repeat that to his face, but Angle says that he'll repeat it to Bully's face later tonight in the main event! (67)

kJMlbVps.jpgGQYxEKxs.jpg

We cut to the back where Christy Hemme is with the TNA Knockouts Champion, Velvet Sky. Christy asks Velvet about her decision to defend her Knockouts Championship in a four way match at Slammiversary. Velvet says that she's proud to be the Knockouts Champion and she wants to be a fighting Champion....

UoqKSQ0s.jpg

Mickie James then walks in and, after a brief little staredown, Mickie respectfully wishes Velvet good luck at Slammiversary. Velvet returns the favor, and they walk off in separate directions as we cut elsewhere (44)

vHDhB39s.jpg

More specifically, we cut to the parking lot area where we see Alex Shelley arriving at the building. Mike Tenay wonders what Shelley will have to say to Chris Sabin after Sabin's betrayal at Sacrifice? (41)

rf4GbUKs.jpgvs.hUSH896s.jpgvs.qJ6MT2Ys.jpgvs.48yd7Gis.jpg

Our first in-ring action of the night is an X-Division four way match as Petey Williams, Christian York, Kenny King and Shark Boy square off. As one would expect, the action is fast and furious in this one, with plenty of high-flying moves added to the mix. All four men get their chance to hit a few impressive moves, but in the end it's Kenny King who is victorious, hitting the Coronation on Shark Boy and pinning him for the one, two, three.

Kenny King defeated Shark Boy, Christian York and Petey Williams at 5:59 by pinfall when King pinned Shark Boy with a Coronation (49)

yPzBKmus.jpg4UJwwICs.jpg

We cut to the back where Eric Bischoff is with Hulk Hogan and Bischoff is asking if Hogan is sure he really wants to step back into the ring at Slammiversary? Hogan says that he thought he was done wrestling, but he's had enough of the Aces & Eights and their antics, and Hogan says that it doesn't matter how old you get--sometimes you gotta take a stand and say enough's enough. Bischoff says he knows better than to argue with Hogan when his mind is made up, and Hogan says that his mind is definitely made up; him and Sting are gonna run wild on the Aces & Eights this Sunday at Slammiversary, brother! (55)

xPT9tVhs.jpgw/dh7AdcTs.jpgvs.iftyUfzs.jpgw/aMYPHjYs.jpg

Chavo Guerrero Jr. takes on Kazarian in singles action next. Daniels and Hernandez are both at ringside and Daniels is a constant source of distraction for Chavo, despite Hernandez's best efforts to keep Daniels in check. Daniels' distractions allow Kazarian to control a good portion of this match as Daniels is there to help swing the momentum back in Kazarian's favor every time Chavo tries to fight back. Eventually Hernandez has seen enough and a brawl erupts between Hernandez and Daniels at ringside and Kazarian tries to take advantage with a surprise roll-up from behind while Chavo is distracted, but Chavo is able to roll through for a roll-up of his own, which is just barely enough for the three count.

Chavo Guerrero Jr. defeated Kazarian at 7:51 by pinfall with a roll-up (52)

The scuffle continues after the match, but Bad Influence eventually retreat back up the ramp as Mike Tenay notes that each team has picked up a singles victory against the other--but who is going to be victorious this Sunday at Slammiversary with the titles on the line?

XPbwNMds.jpg010IsBGs.jpg

In the back, Sting is seen approaching AJ Styles and Sting wants to make sure that he and Kurt can count on AJ tonight. Sting says that he knows a thing or two about doing things your own way and he respects AJ's decision. Sting says that he knows AJ thinks he can't trust anyone, but he can trust Sting. AJ says that, all due respect to Sting, but his days of trusting other people are long gone. As for tonight? AJ says that he, Sting and Kurt have common enemies and that's enough for him. AJ then walks off and Sting looks rather thoughtful as we cut elsewhere. (65)

fuRYG0hs.jpg

Samoa Joe's music hits and Joe makes his way down to the ring looking pissed off. Once in the ring, Joe demands that Jeff Jarrett joins him in the ring RIGHT NOW!

BZnh9gis.jpg

"My World" starts playing and Jeff Jarrett does make his way out from the back, but he doesn't join Joe in the ring, opting instead to remain at the top of the entrance ramp. Joe repeats his demand for Jarrett to come to the ring, but Jarrett tells Joe that he doesn't call the shots. Jarrett brags about his career, calling himself an overachiever with all of the World Titles he has held, despite people doubting him every step of the way. Jarrett then calls Joe the opposite of himself--an underachiever who had the entire wrestling world believing that he was the next big thing at one point. But Joe squandered it. Jarrett says that he offered Joe a chance to be relevant again, and Joe, stupidly, turned him down...so now Joe has to pay the price. Jarrett says that he won't fight Joe here tonight, but he WILL fight him at Slammiversary! Joe doesn't seem to want to wait, however, and he leaves the ring and chases after Jarrett, who disappears into the back with Joe in pursuit. (64)

kJMlbVps.jpgvHDhB39s.jpg

Christy Hemme is backstage with Alex Shelley, who doesn't even let Christy ask a question before he turns to the camera and tells Chris Sabin to come find him right now. Shelley says that Sabin said that he would rather spit in his face than shake his hand and Shelley dares Sabin to make good on his words.

ja5tuzOs.jpg

Sabin does show up after a few moments and an intense staredown ensues between the two men until Sabin actually does make good on his word as he spits in Alex Shelley's face! Shelley completely loses it and the two begin brawling in the back until they are separated by various referees and security personnel. (39)

wD0WBZ8s.jpgvs.JJsN7nvs.jpg

Knockouts action is up next as Tara takes on Taryn Terrell. Tara dominates most of the match ,but Taryn shows that she's got a fighter's heart as she refuses to give up and she keeps getting back to her feet and fighting back against the far more experienced Tara. Taryn even gets a near-fall when she catches Tara off-guard with a roll-up, but Tara manages to kick out before the three count. The close call seems to infuriate Tara as she turns it up a notch, hitting a few high-impact moves before putting Taryn away with a Widow's Peak for the pinfall victory.

Tara defeated Taryn Terrell at 5:59 by pinfall with a Widow's Peak (39)

The match is over but Tara isn't quite done yet as she seemingly wants to send a message to Velvet Sky through Taryn Terrell. Tara continues her post-match attack until...

GQYxEKxs.jpg

Velvet Sky runs down to make the save for Taryn. As Tara and Velvet brawl in the ring...

9TGBP98s.jpg

Gail Kim suddenly hits the ring as well and she attacks Velvet from behind. Despite their recent disagreements, Tara and Gail can both agree to work together here as they both start beating Velvet down...

UoqKSQ0s.jpg

Mickie James then hits the ring as well to even the odds for Velvet, and we've got all four women who will compete for the Knockouts Championship this Sunday at Slammiversary in the ring, fighting it out until multiple referees and backstage workers arrive to attempt to restore order in the ring. (36)

qjuU40Qs.jpgSYyMyqWs.jpgIo2DFMFs.jpgGqVsxLfs.jpg

Bully Ray, Brooke, Devon and D.O.C. are all backstage facing the camera and Bully says that Hulk Hogan and Sting are looking at their opponents at Slammiversary; Devon and D.O.C. Bully says that, while he wishes he could step into the ring with Hogan himself, he has no doubt that his brothers, Devon and D.O.C., will get the job done and represent the Aces & Eights properly and proudly at Slammiversary. Bully then tells Devon and D.O.C. to not go easy on the "old man" because Hogan needs to learn to be careful what he asks for. As we cut back to the ring, Mike Tenay hypes up the fact that it's going to be Sting and Hogan vs. Devon and D.O.C. at Slammiversary! (51)

WuRKaALs.jpgw/8H8bRn1s.jpgvs.tvhBGpws.jpg

James Storm does battle with the Aces & Eights next as he faces Wes Brisco in singles action. Brisco is joined at ringside by Garrett Bischoff, so Mike Tenay wonders just how much of a one on one match this will actually be, but Taz assures him that Brisco won't need any help to defeat James Storm. This is a short match that sees Storm dominate the majority of it, only losing the upper hand when Garrett Bischoff gets involved at ringside. Still, Storm regains the upper hand, but just as he is about to finish Brisco off with his Last Call superkick...Garrett Bischoff enters the ring and attacks Storm, ending the match in a disqualification.

James Storm defeated Wes Brisco at 3:37 by DQ when Garrett Bischoff got involved (48)

Brisco and Garrett continue the attack on Storm after the match, but Storm is able to fight off both men and take them down with Last Call Superkicks.

O9Y7EQas.jpg

But D'Lo Brown then hits the ring and nails Storm from behind with a steel chair. D'Lo starts putting the boots to Storm for a bit, and then he warns Storm to stay out of Aces & Eights business. D'Lo then leads Bischoff and Brisco to the back, berating them along the way for failing to take care of Storm. (37)

The X-Division Champion, Jeff Hardy, comes down to the ring. Hardy gets on the mic and says that if the Masked Man wants that X-Division Title shot on Sunday, it's time for him to unmask.

The Masked Man makes his way out from the back as Mike Tenay once again wonders who it could be. The Masked Man joins Hardy in the ring and, after milking the moment for a bit, the Masked Man slowly removes his mask to reveal him to be....

MATT HARDY!!! Jeff can't believe his eyes and he asks Matt what the hell he is doing here, and Matt says that he's doing what he has been doing all his life--taking care of his baby brother. Matt says that he knew how badly Jeff wanted to win the X-Division Championship at Sacrifice after everything he's been through, and Matt knew right then and there what he had to do. Matt says that he did what he did at Sacrifice so that Jeff wouldn't have to, or so that Jeff wouldn't have to face failure once again. Jeff says that he didn't want any help, but Matt says that he did the right thing. Matt says that he asked for the match at Slammiversary because he knows how Jeff feels right now, and he wants to give him an outlet for that anger, and, once again, big brother will be there to take care of him. Matt says that he did what he did at Sacrifice because he loves Jeff, and that the match at Slammiversary is also happening because he loves Jeff. Matt says that Jeff probably doesn't understand yet and that's okay--he doesn't have to understand yet. But Matt says that he does understand, and he says again that everything he has done, and everything that he will do, he'll do because he loves Jeff. Matt then drops the mic and leaves the ring, and both Mike and Taz are completely confused by Matt's words, as is Jeff, who is left standing in the ring to ponder everything that just happened. It's main event time as Bully Ray, Devon and Mr. Anderson of the Aces & Eights take on the team of Kurt Angle, Sting and AJ Styles. After an even opening to the match, Aces & Eights manage to take control of the match by isolating Kurt Angle and wearing him down. When not in the ring himself, Bully Ray is yelling instructions from the apron as he clearly wants his Brothers to take as much out of Angle as possible here just a few short days away from Slammiversary. Angle eventually makes his comeback and a hot tag to "The Icon" Sting turns the tide of the match--that is, until Devon nails Sting from behind with a chop block.

GqVsxLfs.jpgiMecyR4s.jpg

D.O.C. and Knux make their way down to ringside as Devon continues to go to work on Sting's leg in the ring, but Sting fights back and makes the tag to Kurt Angle...and then all hell breaks loose. All six men are now brawling in the ring as Anderson goes after AJ Styles, Sting and Devon go at it, and Kurt Angle goes after the World Heavyweight Champion, Bully Ray. Sting hits a Scorpion Deathdrop on Devon and then he and Angle double-clotheslines Bully Ray over the top rope. As AJ and Anderson continue brawling at ringside, Sting hits a slingshot crossbody onto Bully, D.O.C. and Knux outside the ring, taking out all three men. This just leaves Angle and Devon in the ring, and Angle immediately pounces on the opportunity, hitting the Angle Slam and covering Devon for the one, two, three.

Kurt Angle, Sting and AJ Styles defeated Devon, Bully Ray and Mr. Anderson at 13:33 by pinfall when Angle pinned Devon with an Angle Slam (74)

The match is over and Angle, Sting and AJ are victorious despite the interference from the Aces & Eights. As the Aces & Eights are licking their wounds and regrouping outside the ring, Hulk Hogan's music hits and Hogan makes his way out from the back to join Angle and Sting in the ring. Hogan, Angle and Sting all stand tall in the ring, while AJ Styles quietly leaves the ring and exits through the crowd. Bully Ray and the Aces & Eights look on in dismay from the top of the entrance ramp and Mike Tenay reminds everyone that Slammiversary is this Sunday night only on PPV! (65)

They do a quick rundown of the card, highlighting the key matches especially, and then we transition into our opening contest of the night as Chavo Guerrero Jr. and Hernandez defend the TNA Tag Team Championships against Bad Influence.</p><p> </p><p> Chavo and Kazarian start things off and after a back and forth opening, it's Bad Influence who take control after Daniels gets a cheap shot in on Chavo from the apron, allowing Kazarian to capitalize. From here, Kazarian and Daniels do an excellent job isolating Chavo, making good use of frequent tags to keep each other fresh while wearing Chavo down in the process. The crowd rallies behind Chavo, but every time she shows some signs of life, he's knocked back down by the challengers who, according to Taz, are executing their game plan flawlessly here tonight. Chavo finally does make the hot tag to Hernandez and the big man puts his power on full display as he starts throwing Daniels and Kazarian around as if they were rag dolls. Things are looking good for the Champions, but things take a turn for the worse when Hernandez charges at Daniels, looking for a clothesline, but Daniels is able to avoid the devastating contact. With Daniels out of the way and the referee busy with Chavo, Kazarian uses this opportunity to smash a steel chair across Hernandez's back! Hernandez stumbles forward from the impact, staggering right into an inside cradle from Daniels, and the referee counts the one, two, three as Hernandez kicks out just a split second too late.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <strong>Bad Influence defeated Chavo Guerrero Jr. and Hernandez at 11:41 by pinfall when Daniels pinned Hernandez with an inside cradle following a steel chair shot. Sabin gets on the mic and proceeds to mock Alex Shelley, saying that he LITERALLY spit in Shelley's face on Impact, yet Shelley isn't here to face him tonight. Sabin says that Shelley is finally showing the world his true colors by running off to Japan instead of being here tonight to face him, and Sabin again says that Shelley's cowardice is EXACTLY why he turned on him at Sacrifice. Sabin goes to continue his disrespectful promo, but he is suddenly interrupted as...</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <img alt="WFfMLFhs.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/WFfMLFhs.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> "Tattooed Attitude" starts playing and Shannon Moore makes a surprise appearance here at Slammiversary as he makes his way down to the ring. Shannon says that no one wants to hear Sabin running his mouth, and he adds that if Sabin is looking for a fight--he just found one! Looks like Sabin will have a match here tonight after all! <strong>(44)</strong></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <img alt="ja5tuzOs.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/ja5tuzOs.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />vs.<img alt="WFfMLFhs.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/WFfMLFhs.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> Shannon Moore clearly came to Slammiversary ready for a fight because he wastes no time going after Sabin. Moore keeps his attack grounded early on, but it's only a matter of time before he dips into his more high-flying arsenal, as you would expect. Shannon gets a two count from a diving crossbody from the top rope, but he goes back to the well one time too many and Sabin is able to roll out of the way of a top rope splash. Sabin takes control of the match, hitting a hurricanrana, a german suplex and then a tiger suplex, but Shannon is able to kick out. This seems to frustrate Sabin, who waits until Shannon is up to his knees, and then he charges at him and hits a vicious running boot to the temple. Shannon looks to be out cold, but Sabin still picks him back up and hits the Cradle Shock before covering him for the three count.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <strong>Chris Sabin defeated Shannon Moore at 7:36 by pinfall with a Cradle Shock (47)</strong></p><p> </p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="53571" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><p> </p><p> <img alt="4UJwwICs.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/4UJwwICs.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="XPbwNMds.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/XPbwNMds.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> We cut to the backstage area where a bloodied Hulk Hogan is being loaded into an ambulance while Taz on commentary sarcastically asks what could possibly have happened here? Sting is here as well, and a dazed and rather out of it Hogan manages to tell Sting that it was the Aces & Eights who jumped him. Sting tells Hogan that he needs to go to the hospital and that he'll take care of business tonight by himself. The ambulance then drives off and Mike Tenay is absolutely disgusted by the actions of the Aces & Eights here tonight, but Taz simply says that Hogan shouldn't have stuck his nose into their business to begin with. <strong>(72)</strong></p><p> </p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="53571" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">TNA X-Division Championship</span></strong></p><p> </p><p> <img alt="nPrA8V0.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/nPrA8V0.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> <img alt="xOWSqyos.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/xOWSqyos.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />vs.<img alt="mv3sAa7s.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/mv3sAa7s.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> It's brother versus brother next here at Slammiversary as "The Charismatic Enigma" Jeff Hardy defends the TNA X-Division Championship against his own brother, Matt. The Hardy brothers come face to face in the middle of the ring to start this one off, and Matt again tells Jeff that he loves him. The two brothers lock up and after a bit of chain wrestling to kick things off, the intensity of the match skyrockets when Matt first slaps Jeff and then knocks him off his feet with a straight right hand. Matt stays aggressive and certainly doesn't appear to take it easy on his brother, while Mike Tenay and Taz speculate what exactly is going on with Matt Hardy lately. Matt hits a side effect for a two count, and a diving elbow drop from the second rope for another two count. Matt argues with the referee for a faster count, but when Matt goes to pull Jeff up by the hair, Jeff counters with a sitout jawbreaker. Jeff hits a mule kick, but before he can build too much momentum, Matt rolls out of the ring for a breather. This is a mistake, however, as Jeff climbs to the top rope and hits a massive dive onto Matt outside the ring which brings the crowd to their feet with excitement! The two brothers brawl around the ring for a bit before taking the action back inside the ring, where Matt swings and misses wildly with a clothesline and Jeff takes him down with a neckbreaker. Jeff hits his patented double legdrop to Matt's groin/midsection area, and he follows it up with a Whisper in the Wind for a near-fall. Jeff then signals for the Twist of Fate, but as he goes to pull Matt back to his feet, Matt nails Jeff with a low blow that the referee somehow misses. Matt tries to capitalize with a Twist of Fate of his own, but Jeff counters it into one of his own, but Matt is able to push Jeff off and into the ropes. Matt catches Jeff and goes for the side effect, but Jeff counters out of it and...TWIST OF FATE!!! Jeff hits it this time and he immediately covers Matt as the referee counts the one, two, three.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <strong>Jeff Hardy defeated Matt Hardy at 12:40 by pinfall with a Twist of Fate. Jeff Hardy retains the TNA X-Division Championship (69)</strong></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> The match is over and Jeff Hardy is celebrating his big win by climbing all four ringposts and posing with the X-Division Championship for the fans. As Jeff goes to leave the ring, Matt Hardy, who is lying in one of the corners with his head resting against the bottom turnbuckle, has a mic in his hand and he stops Jeff. Matt asks Jeff to wait, and Matt then says that everything he does, he does because he loves Jeff. Matt then says "I'm sorry" to Jeff and "I love you" and then...</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <img alt="kCZCMYxs.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/kCZCMYxs.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> "The Monster" Abyss suddenly makes his return to TNA, with a new look, as he hits the ring and attacks Jeff from behind. Abyss beats Jeff down and hits the Black Hole Slam, and then Matt slowly crawls over to Jeff and, once again, both apologizes and tells Jeff that he loves him. Matt then leaves with Abyss, leaving Tenay and Taz to wonder what the heck is going on with Matt Hardy?!? <strong>(55)</strong></p><p> </p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="53571" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><p> </p><p> <img alt="tvhBGpws.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/tvhBGpws.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />vs.<img alt="O9Y7EQas.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/O9Y7EQas.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />w/<img alt="WuRKaALs.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/WuRKaALs.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="8H8bRn1s.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/8H8bRn1s.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> Mike Tenay kicks this one off by saying that he hopes James Storm gives the Aces & Eights the beating they deserve after what they did to Hulk Hogan earlier tonight. Taz naturally isn't happy about Tenay's comments, and he says that if Storm doesn't watch himself, he'll end up like Hogan too. Wes Brisco and Garrett Bischoff are at ringside and they prove a constant distraction as they do everything they can to help D'Lo get the upper hand, and for a while this strategy succeeds in keeping "The Cowboy" under control. It doesn't last, however, as Storm begins fighting back and it isn't long before everything is chaos in the ring. Brisco and Garrett are both in the ring, but Storm is able to get the upper hand and throw them both back out of the ring. Storm then turns around just as D'Lo stumbles back to his feet, and Storm sends D'Lo back down with a Last Call superkick to pick up the pinfall victory.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <strong>James Storm defeated D'Lo Brown at 7:23 by pinfall with a Last Call (54)</strong></p><p> </p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="53571" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><p> </p><p> <img alt="XPbwNMds.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/XPbwNMds.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />vs.<img alt="Io2DFMFs.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Io2DFMFs.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="GqVsxLfs.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/GqVsxLfs.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> What should have been a tag team match is now as handicap match after the Aces & Eights took Hulk Hogan out earlier tonight as "The Icon" Sting now has to go it alone against the team of Devon and D.O.C. Sting starts off strong with a flurry of offense, but it is only a matter of time before the numbers game catches up to him. Things then take an ugly turn as Devon and D.O.C. begin beating "The Icon" down, using their man advantage to full effect. Tenay praises Sting's courage on commentary, but Taz says that the Aces & Eights are taking over TNA and taking out anyone who stands in their way. First Hogan, now Sting, and Storm, AJ Styles and Kurt Angle are all next in line. Sting tries to fight back several times, but every time his flurry is short-lived before he is shot back down by the two on one advantage. But then, just when things look the absolute most dire for "The Icon"...</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <img alt="4UJwwICs.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/4UJwwICs.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> Hulk Hogan's music suddenly hits and Hogan makes his way out from the back, still a bloodied mess from the attack by the Aces & Eights earlier tonight. The crowd--and Mike Tenay--go nuts as Hogan approaches the ring, while Taz asks what the hell Hogan is doing back here--he should be at the hospital! Hogan enters the ring and is immediately met by D.O.C. but Hogan is able to block his punch and deliver a big one of his own instead. Hogan takes the fight to both D.O.C. and Devon, and Sting joins in as well to finally make this a fair fight. Anderson vows that not only is he going to beat AJ tonight--he's going to make him cry and beg for mercy in the middle of the ring for the whole world to see. Joe follows and he chases Jarrett around the ring, and then back into the ring. But this was all a ploy by Jarrett, who attacks Joe as soon as Joe rolls back into the ring to gain the upper hand. Jarrett stays on the attack, not allowing Joe a moment's rest, and Mike Tenay says that, love him or hate him, Jeff Jarrett is a veteran who excels at putting a game plan together and then executing that game plan to perfection. Sometimes Jarrett just can't help himself, however, and he takes too long taunting the crowd which allows Samoa Joe to recover and surprise Jarrett with an impactful samoan drop. Joe follows up with a slew of kicks and a belly to belly suplex, and then he hits a running senton which is good for a two count. Joe continues to dominate, hitting a snap powerslam for another two count. Joe then hits the Island Driver and this one might have been over, but Jarrett is just barely able to get his foot on the bottom rope before the three count. Joe signals for the Muscle Buster, but when Joe goes to pull Jarrett to his feet, Jarrett jabs a thumb into Joe's eye and follows it up with a chop block. Jarrett begins going to work on Joe's leg, trying to even out Joe's power advantage by taking out his leg, which Tenay calls great strategy. Joe quickly shuts that down with another snap powerslam however, and it looks like it's time for the Coquina Clutch...</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <img alt="aMYPHjYs.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/aMYPHjYs.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="iftyUfzs.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/iftyUfzs.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> But Bad Influence, Daniels and Kazarian, run down to ringside to grab Joe's attention. The referee is "accidentally" taken out when Jarrett attacks Joe from behind, and both Daniels and Kazarian enter the ring as well to join in on a three on one beatdown of Samoa Joe. Jarrett then leaves the ring and looks for something under the ring...which, of course, turns out to be his Acoustic Equalizer. Jarrett holds the guitar high in the air, drawing plenty of boos from the crowd, and then he rolls back into the ring. Jarrett motions for Daniels and Kazarian to get Joe to his feet, which they do, and Jarrett shatters the guitar over Joe's head. Kazarian then revives the referee, Jarrett covers Joe, and it's one, two, three.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <strong>Jeff Jarrett defeated Samoa Joe at 13:40 by pinfall with a guitar shot following interference from Bad Influence (63)</strong></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> The Originals stand tall in the ring after the match, all three men victorious here tonight at Slammiversary as Jarrett defeated Samoa Joe and Bad Influence defeated Chavo and Hernandez to capture the Tag Team Championships.</p><p> </p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="53571" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><p> </p><p> <img alt="UoqKSQ0s.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/UoqKSQ0s.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="oySx2ods.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/oySx2ods.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> We cut to the backstage area where Mickie James has seemingly been taken out and she's lying motionless on the floor while the woman we assume is her attacker stands menacingly above her--what's going on here?!? <strong>(29)</strong></p><p> </p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="53571" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">TNA Knockouts Championship</span></strong></p><p> </p><p> <img alt="ozCDOSh.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/ozCDOSh.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> <img alt="GQYxEKxs.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/GQYxEKxs.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />vs.<img alt="wD0WBZ8s.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/wD0WBZ8s.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />vs.<img alt="9TGBP98s.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/9TGBP98s.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> Mike Tenay says that they'll keep everyone updated on Mickie James' condition, but it looks like she won't be able to compete for the Knockouts Championship here tonight. That means it's now down to Velvet Sky, Tara and Gail Kim and that's bad news for Velvet, as Tara and Gail Kim agree to work together to eliminate Velvet, leaving just the two of them to fight it out for the Championship. This goes exactly how you would expect; it works really well for a while, but the alliance breaks down when Gail tries to sneak a pinfall victory and Tara breaks it up. From here, it's every woman for herself as Tara and Gail start trading blows as well. It's an even match as all three women have their moments of dominance, and no one is able to maintain control of the match for long.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <img alt="oySx2ods.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/oySx2ods.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> We then see the same woman who was standing over Mickie James in the back making her way down to ringside as the match continues in the ring. Velvet is able to catch Tara with a surprise roll-up, but Tara kicks out at two-and-a-half. Furious, Tara goes to throw Velvet out of the ring, but Velvet reverses it and it's Tara who goes flying over the top rope. Velvet then turns her attention to Gail, who is down in the middle of the ring, but the woman who attacked Mickie James enters the ring and floors Velvet with a clothesline. Not quite done yet, the woman also drives Velvet into the mat with a powerbomb, and then she helps Gail Kim back to her feet--perhaps revealing her motivation in the process? Gail immediately capitalizes, hitting the Eat Defeat on Velvet and pinning her for the three count.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <strong>Gail Kim defeated Velvet Sky and Tara at 10:22 by pinfall when Gail pinned Velvet with an Eat Defeat following interference from Lei D'Tapa. They brawl their way down the entrance ramp, but instead of taking the fight inside the ring, Anderson throws AJ over the guard rail and the two men continue to fight their way through the crowd. The advantage goes back and forth and both men do a good job of utilizing their surroundings to inflict damage upon their opponent. After several minutes the match finally ends up in the ring where Anderson uses a steel chair to gain control of the match. Anderson slams AJ onto the steel chair back-first, but when Anderson tries to follow up with a DDT, AJ is able to avoid disaster by first kicking the chair away, and then spinning out of Anderson's hold and hitting a snap DDP of his own instead, but it's only good for a two count. Anderson comes back with a swinging neckbreaker and then he climbs to the top rope looking to score big with the Kenton Bomb, but AJ rolls out of the way and Anderson crashes and burnso on the mat. With both men down, everyone turns their attention toward the entrance ramp but, rather surprisingly, none of the other members of the Aces & Eights appear as it looks like Anderson will have to go it alone here tonight.</p><p> </p><p> Both men get back to their feet and start trading punches in the middle of the ring, with Anderson gaining the upper hand. Anderson then whips AJ into the ropes and hits a back body drop--but somehow AJ manages to land on his feet! Anderson has no idea and he turns around and walks right into a Pelé Kick, but Anderson manages to kick out at two-and-a-half. Sensing his moment is now, AJ gets on the apron and sets up for the Phenomenal Forearm. As Anderson gets to his feet and turns around, AJ leaps, but Anderson manages to catch AJ and plant him with the Mic Check! Anderson covers and it's one...two...three--NOOO! At the last possible second, AJ Styles manages to get his shoulder off the mat! Anderson can't believe it and he starts arguing the count with the referee, while Taz on commentary urges Anderson to stay focused because he's got AJ Styles in a lot of trouble right now. </p><p> </p><p> Anderson refocuses and pulls AJ back to his feet, looking for a second Mic Check to finish AJ off. Anderson gets AJ into position, but AJ fights out of the hold and rolls Anderson up for a two count. Both men get back to their feet and we get a double down as both men go for a clothesline. After a few moments, Anderson is the first one to get back to his feet and he grabs AJ by the hair to pull him back to his feet--but AJ suddenly grabs hold of Anderson's leg and applies the Calf Killer! Anderson screams in pain, and he fights the hold for as long as he can, but in the end the pain is too much and he has no choice but to tap out.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <strong>AJ Styles defeated Mr. Anderson at 18:07 by submission with the Calf Killer (70)</strong></p><p> </p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="53571" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">TNA World Heavyweight Championship</span></strong></p><p> </p><p> <img alt="Rs88jBV.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Rs88jBV.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> <img alt="qjuU40Qs.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/qjuU40Qs.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />w/<img alt="SYyMyqWs.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/SYyMyqWs.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />vs.<img alt="8eiV8l8s.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/8eiV8l8s.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> It's main event time and the TNA World Heavyweight Champion, Bully Ray, might actually have the odds against him for once as the Aces & Eights are zero and three on the night--a fact that Mike Tenay gleefully points out to Taz on commentary. It quickly becomes apparent that Bully Ray is in a foul mood tonight as he unloads on Kurt Angle in the corner with one brutal right handed punch after another. The referee warns Bully about punching with a closed fist, but Bully couldn't care less about the referee's warnings as he continues to beat Angle down in the corner. Bully decides to mouth off to the crowd before charging at Angle, looking for a corner clothesline, but Angle is able to move out of the way and Bully charges chest-first into the corner. Angle follows up with a pair of german suplexes and suddenly it's the challenger who is in control. Mike Tenay cheers Angle on, urging him to finish Bully Ray off and complete the sweep of the Aces & Eights here tonight, but Angle is momentarily distracted as Brooke grabs hold of his leg from outside the ring, and this brief moment of distraction allows Bully to recover and clothesline Angle from behind. Bully begins hitting some mounted punches, once again showing his vicious side here tonight, and then he drives Angle to the mat with a sidewalk slam. Brooke then carefully places a chain in one of the corners of the ring, and then she moves to the opposite side of the ring, climbs onto the apron and grabs the referee's attention, allowing Bully to pick up the chain, wrap it around his fist and blast Kurt Angle in the face with it, busting Angle wide open. Bully then pulls Angle to his feet but Angle, in a desperation move, suddenly snaps off a belly to belly suplex. Angle gets fired up and hits a pair of clotheslines, a belly to back suplex and a german suplex. Angle then whips Bully into the corner and charges in with a corner clothesline, but Bully pulls the referee in front of him and now all three men are down in the ring.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <img alt="iMecyR4s.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/iMecyR4s.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> Knux runs down to the ring and he blasts Angle with a steel chair! Meanwhile, in the ring, feeling a burst of adreanaline, Kurt Angle is able to get to his feet and surprise Bully Ray with an Angle Slam. Angle makes the cover, but there is no referee there to make the count. Brooke then enters the ring, steel chain in hand, and she tries to blast Angle with it again, but a battered and bloody Kurt Angle is able to block it. Brooke drops the chain, looking absolutely terrified, but Angle eventually lets go of her arm and she quickly leaves the ring. Unfortunately, however, while Angle was dealing with Brooke, Bully Ray grabbed the chain that Brooke dropped and wrapped it around his fist again. Then, as Angle turns around, Bully again punches Angle with the chain wrapped around his fist, and Angle goes down in a heap. Great show man, loved the last two matches in particular.

Matt Hardy seems a little... broken? :p I'm curious how things go with him and Abyss.

Lei'd Tapa will make a good heater for Gail Kim and I'm sure Gail will have great matches with Mickie and Tara. All three of those women are awesome.

I'm probably thinking a bit too far ahead but AJ beating Bully Ray and then moving into a feud with Jarrett, Daniels and Kazarian is pretty exciting on paper. Bully winning here felt like the right move.

Thanks man! I was pretty happy with the show, though I was a bit disappointed it didn't score a little bit higher. Was hoping to crack 70 but didn't quite get there. Still, I'm feeling good about the direction of the company right now and I'm excited for the future :)

Also, just in case anyone is wondering, Chris Sabin vs. Alex Shelley was supposed to take place at Slammiversary as well, but Shelley decided that it was more important to work in Japan so he was unavailable for the show.

<p>I'm currently in a bit of a situation and since I am unsure myself, I thought I'd post it here and see what you guys think. So here goes;</p><p> </p><p>

I've been getting messages from Spike that they are unhappy with our performance because Impact's show ratings are lower than the minimum requirement for our current time slot. I've been getting them since the beginning of the game and since they wouldn't negotiate for a new time slot, I figured I'd just let things run their course and then, when Spike kicked us off, I'd go back to running weekly PPV's like TNA originally did.</p><p> </p><p>

However, following the latest episode of Impact (the one I just posted the card for) I reached medium size and now Spike are willing to negotiate. The only problem is that they aren't willing to offer me the late evening slot that I was hoping for, and instead the best slot they are willing to offer me is late night, which is kinda a sucky slot.</p><p> </p><p>

So now I'm trying to figure out if I should just accept the late night slot and live with it for a while, or let them eventually kick me off and go with the weekly PPV's, which I would then have to do for a full year, I think, before I can negotiate with another network, if I'm not mistaken.</p><p> </p><p>

I'd very much appreciate hearing your opinions on this <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

I am slightly concerned for your show grade with this line-up, haha. You could always negotiate with other networks but if Late Night is the best you can get, I'd go for it. Maybe just take a 6 month deal and see how you feel down the line?</p>
