Monday, Week 1, January 2022

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

THE WALT DISNEY COMPANY PURCHASES WORLD WRESTLING ENTERTAINMENT

FLORDIA- Bob Chapek (DISNEY CEO) has announced the acquisition of the World Wrestling Entertainment. This acquisition has been rumoured for a while now, and today at 5 Star Wrestling, we can confirm the deal is done.

“The WWE will offer us an exciting and established brand that has a huge following all across the world. The WWE has grown into a highly successful global entertainment brand over the last 30 years, and we are very excited to see it continue to grow. Its ability to continue to grow and create exciting content during the COVID 19 pandemic is something we are excited about as well.” Bob Chapek stated.

Information about the WWE television and event streaming structure will be released in the coming days. Disney owns the ESPN network, along with Disney Plus streaming service. It is confirmed that there will be no RAW or Smackdown shows this week, as the company restructures its strategy and delivery of WWE programming.

During the press conference, the following information was released:

-Vince McMahon will be in charge of the “larger picture” operations of the WWE. His responsibilities will included media and television deals, wrestler contract negotiations, and investor relations. Vince McMahon will be a “collaborative and important member” in the relationship between Disney and WWE.

-Paul Levesque (Triple H) has been promoted to “Head of Creative Direction”. This title means the Paul will be in charge of the day to day running of the WWE. His responsibilities include the creative direction of all WWE productions, talent relations, and live event scheduling.

-Stephanie McMahon Levesque has been relieved of her corporate duties within the WWE, and has been promoted to “executive of youth and community outreach” for Disney.

-Vince McMahon owns 45% of the World Wrestling Entertainment, meaning that Disney now has majority control of the WWE.

It is believed that the WWE will have a press conference later today.

OOC Welcome!

Hello everyone, thank you for stopping by! A lot of talk about WWE selling their broadcasting rights for major events happened earlier this year, and I thought it would be a great scenario to play as. Vince McMahon no longer has a majority stake of the WWE, Triple H has been given a lot more responsibilities and power, and a huge cooperation in Disney to ensure the WWE runs as a tight ship. Lots of exciting backstage storylines to explore!

The exciting thing about Disney is the presentation and creative ideas WWE can have. I plan on using a lot more "Cinematic" matches where appropriate.

I plan on really focusing on character work and story lines, with a lot of financial background for this dynasty (TV ratings and PPV buy-rates, financial reports, etc). Expect shorter TV show write ups, with extended coverage for PPV/Network specials.

I am not the greatest at graphics, so this will be mostly text based. This dynasty will have greater emphasis on fiction then reality. I have tried to start a dynasty like this before, heres to hoping for a better second go round.

Thank you so much for checking out my dynasty, lets get this show on the road!

WWE Press Conference 1

Monday, Week 1, January 2022

WORLD WRESTLING ENTERTAINMENT PRESS CONFERENCE

STAMFORD- Vince McMahon and Paul Levesque held a press conference today outside of the World Wrestling Entertainment head office. Disney representatives were also in attendance.

“There has been a lot of buzz lately within the WWE. This year looks to be one of the most exciting and promising times for us, and we are committed to delivering the best wrestling on the planet for all our wonderful fans.”

During the press conference, the following information was released:

-Monday night RAW and Friday night Smackdown will now both be a one hour broadcast. This was a Disney decision, as they do not want new potential fans to be put off by the large time commitment it takes to view WWE programming. They feel they can retain more of an audience with shorter, fast paced exciting shows.

-RAW and Smackdown broadcasting information will be released shortly.

-Monthly events will be returning to Pay Per View. It is understood that fans will be upset by this, but WWE is hoping to give many viewing options for the B level PPV shows, along with special events to make up for it.

-WWE will continue to push and expand in international markets. These markets include India, Russia, and Japan.

-WWE will not be having any more events in Saudi Arabia for the time being.
