Good evening, I hope that you’ve enjoyed WrestleMania X8 so far and we’re not done yet with the Undisputed Championship match in a few moments but first I have an announcement which will shake World Wrestling Entertainment to its foundation. We're not simply "Getting the F Out" as you've learned here tonight, but WWE has simply become too large for one company...so we're extending our organization to two distinct companies under the WWE corporate umbrella....WWE Raw, which will be owned by Ric Flair, and WWE SmackDown which will be owned by Vince McMahon. This week will be the final week of this company as you've known it. Starting tomorrow night on Raw and concluding Thursday on SmackDown, the entire roster will be drafted into two distinct shows - the flag bearers of these companies. Announcers and referees are exempt from this draft as is the winner of tonight's WWE Championship match between Triple H and Chris Jericho. That champion will be free to sign with whichever company that he chooses. Once the draft is complete, the rosters will be locked in. The only way a superstar will move from one company to another is if their contract ends and they become a free agent. Both companies will share the next five pay per view events through Summerslam. In September Raw and Smackdown will meet head to head at the King of the Ring event. After that they will hold solo events until WrestleMania. For eighteen years WrestleMania has been the biggest event in Sports Entertainment and now it will become our version of the superbowl. The animosity between Flair and McMahon was self-evident and at the end of the night Undisputed Champion Triple H considered both options before signing with Smackdown. As McMahon taunted Flair over this major signing, the Nature Boy floored his fellow owner with a right hand before leaving the ring. Brother, doing multiple diaries at once is an insanely taxing task for any writer, let alone talented ones like Piper's and Kimberly who always work to deliver the best, well thought out content. I was also sad to see their previous diary go, but life goes on and now we get to enjoy them with rejuvenated creative juices flowing. And thank you everyone for all the kind words. Yeah, there was no way that we could run both diaries (far too many shows and far too little rl free time lol). And as Pipers Pit said, we both felt burned out with real life WWE and if we were feeling that, it wouldn't be something that we could continue. Both of us have always loved this era and really wanted to try it, so we're thrilled to do this and hopefully this goes on for years to come. Our last few projects have covered about a year worth of game time each but with this one we've decided to set the finish line, at the very least, to be WrestleMania 25. That's 7 game years from now. Even if we have to take a break or slow down this is what we are going to return to. I know we're both excited to see how the game world and our rosters evolve over the years. Ric Flair has already announced that the World Tag Team Champions will be in action tonight as well as one of Raw's brightest young stars, Edge. But Stone Cold Steve Austin will also be here and the Undertaker will also be in action. But we kick things off with...King yells "PUPPIES" as we throw to the first match...a diva tag team match. <div style="color:rgb(26, 26, 26);font-family:Roboto;font-size:20px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:10px solid rgb(160,160,160);"></div> <b>TRISH STRATUS & MIGHTY MOLLY VS JAZZ & IVORY</b> This match is slightly more physical than the typical diva match and it sees Trish getting a lot of time in the ring in the babyface peril spot. After both Jazz and Ivory take their time with Trish, Trish is able to DDT Ivory and crawl to Molly for the hot tag. Instead Molly refuses to make the hot tag and steps down from the ring as Jazz comes in and grabs Trish from behind, lifts her up and drops her face first. Jazz covers and gets the pinfall. WINNERS BY PINFALL: JAZZ & IVORY <div style="color:rgb(26, 26, 26);font-family:Roboto;font-size:20px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:10px solid rgb(160,160,160);"></div> After the match, Molly throws off her Mighty Molly headband and walks up the ramp while Jazz and Ivory celebrate. Trish rolls around in pain while JR and King wonder what the hell has gotten into Mighty Molly. <div style="color:rgb(26, 26, 26);font-family:Roboto;font-size:20px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:10px solid rgb(160,160,160);"></div> In the back we see Stone Cold Steve Austin storm into the arena. He looks ready to kill someone as he goes down the hall and people scamper off. ========== Commercial Break ========== Raw returns and Stone Cold has entered the office of the owner of Raw, Ric Flair. Austin demands to know how the hell his wife could end up working for Vince McMahon and SmackDown. Ric tells him that since Debra is a contracted talent, she was eligible and the Nature Boy then apologizes for not guessing that Vince McMahon would stoop low enough to do that to Austin. Austin demands to know what Flair is going to do about it and Ric tells him that unfortunately, and Ric was talking to the Board of Directors all weekend long about this, but there is nothing that can be done. Until her contract with SmackDown expires, Debra is the property of Vince McMahon’s company. Austin is fuming and looks like he is going to take Flair’s head off before punching Flair’s door and storming out of Ric’s locker room. <div style="color:rgb(26, 26, 26);font-family:Roboto;font-size:20px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:10px solid rgb(160,160,160);"></div> <b>KURT ANGLE VS MARK HENRY</b> Mark Henry makes his Raw debut and his return from his absence in this match and gets a nice cheer from the crowd. Angle doesn’t take Henry seriously at first until Mark throws Kurt into a corner and drops a meaty forearm right on Angle’s chest. From there both men, skilled at different things…Kurt with mat wrestling and Mark with his power, engage in a contest of whose expertise can win out. Henry splashes Kurt off the 2nd rope and gets a close two before Angle is able to get his foot on the ropes. When Kurt goes for the Ankle Lock, Henry uses his powerful base to launch Angle into the corner. Henry charges for a splash but Kurt ducks out of the way and Henry collides chest first into the corner. Henry staggers back into the Angle Slam!!! 1… 2…. 3. WINNER BY PINFALL: KURT ANGLE <div style="color:rgb(26, 26, 26);font-family:Roboto;font-size:20px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:10px solid rgb(160,160,160);"></div> After the match Angle gets on the mic and bemoans being here on Raw. He says that Vince McMahon promised him that Angle would be drafted to SmackDown but instead he is stuck here and people like “that dumb bimbo Debra” is on SmackDown. It’s not fair. But as he did when he won an Olympic gold medal with a broken freakin neck, Kurt Angle will make lemonade out of lemons and make Raw his company. Kurt Angle is focused and he will become the headliner around here, Oh It’s True…It’s Damned True. <div style="color:rgb(26, 26, 26);font-family:Roboto;font-size:20px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:10px solid rgb(160,160,160);"></div> In the back we see The Undertaker shadow boxing. When Raw comes back, the bully from Death Valley will be in action on Raw. ========== Commercial Break ========== Raw returns with a commercial for WWE Backlash. Backlash will be the first pay-per-view of this new era and will be co-presented by the Raw and SmackDown companies. Backlash will air on Sunday night Week 4 in April from the sold out Kemper Arena in Kansas City, Missouri exclusively on pay-per-view. <div style="color:rgb(26, 26, 26);font-family:Roboto;font-size:20px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:10px solid rgb(160,160,160);"></div> In the back chaos reigns as a camera man rushes up the hallway to get what is happening on camera. We see wrestlers surrounding a fight and when the camera breaks through, Stone Cold Steve Austin is assaulting Kurt Angle. Austin is swinging his fists left and right and yelling “dumb bimbo? That’s my wife.” When Austin goes for Angle’s throat suddenly, Ric Flair, Arn Anderson and Raw officials are able to break through the wrestlers and drag Austin off Angle. Austin shoves everyone away and storms off. <div style="color:rgb(26, 26, 26);font-family:Roboto;font-size:20px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:10px solid rgb(160,160,160);"></div> <b>THE UNDERTAKER VS AL SNOW</b> Al fares pretty well from what we would anticipate in this match as he takes a beating but kicks out of several pinfall attempts which clearly frustrates the Undertaker. Al even begins a comeback until the ref gets his eye poked by accident and Taker does a low blow kick to Al before nailing the Last Ride for the 3 count. He talks about how the world premiere of the sequel has not been all that was planned, so now it is time to reset, refocus and find that sparkle and the motivation to be the shining light of Monday Night Raw. After some near falls Crash is able to tag in his cousin who cleans house until Rico gets on the corner and distracts Hardcore. Chuck throws the tag belts into Billy who nails Hardcore and then covers for the successful title defense. Edge says that if you had told him even a year ago that he would be in the main event of Raw in a singles match, Edge would not have believed it. But to be against someone that Edge watched when he was a child? This is the opportunity of a lifetime and Edge will make the most of it. Tonight, Edge proves that Mr. Perfect may indeed be perfect….but Edge is better. ========== Commercial Break ========== Raw returns with a highlight video of Chris Jericho. Flair says that he is glad that the Chris Jericho promo that just aired did so now because Chris Jericho pertains to what Flair is in the ring to announce. It is true that Triple H, the Undisputed WWE Champion, had a choice on where to sign and he made the biggest mistake of his life in choosing Vince McMahon and SmackDown. A mistake that, in knowing McMahon, the Game will come to regret. But that was his choice and he made his bed and now he will have to lie in it. There is nothing that Ric Flair can do about the WWE Title not being on Raw, but no one says that Raw cannot create our own World Championship. And that is what is going to happen. Flair removes the item from the bag and it’s the Big Gold Belt Flair says that this championship title goes back a hundred years. It predates the WWE itself and it has always been THE title in professional wrestling. This is the very title that Dusty Rhodes, Harley Race, Sting, Luger, Hulk Hogan, Ricky Steamboat and, yes…Ric Flair held so proudly and so often. And from here on out, it’s glory shall be restored because this is THE World Heavyweight Championship and it will be the richest prize on Raw and in the industry once more. So how do we get to a champion? That all begins next week on Raw. Ric says that 8 men will be chosen by the end of this night and those 8 men will wrestle in four matches next week. Two weeks from tonight, the semi-finals will occur and the two men who make it to the finals will main event Backlash from the Kemper Arena in just under four weeks live on pay-per-view. So who are the men? Well 7 of them will be announced right now. Next week on Raw…Stone Cold Steve Austin will face William Regal. Kurt Angle will face Jeff Hardy. Chris Jericho will face Jeff Hardy’s brother Matt. That is 6 of the 8 men. The 7th is Booker T who will face the winner of tonight’s main event between Mr. Perfect and Edge. He is in the main event of Raw against Edge to try to enter the World Title Tournament and and our main event is next. ========== Final Commercial Break ========== Raw returns to JR & King at the announce booth stage. They put over the history of the World Heavyweight Championship and how prestigious it is that it will become the official championship of Raw. They put over the beginning of the World Heavyweight Championship tournament next week on Raw with the matches already announced. They then tell us that we are about to find out the final entrant into the tournament right now. <div style="color:rgb(26, 26, 26);font-family:Roboto;font-size:20px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:10px solid rgb(160,160,160);"></div> <b>MR.PERFECT VS EDGE</b> This is a fantastic back and forth match where both men really shine. The story of the match is the grizzled vet in Mr. Perfect, who knows just a bit more than the young upstart in Edge. So Perfect dominates the middle of the match working some of his classic moves all the while trying to hit the Perfect-Plex. Edge is the classic white meat babyface who never gives up and eventually fights back into the match. Edge goes for the Spear but Perfect knees him dead in the face to set up the ending. The Finish sees Perfect go for the Perfect-Plex but Edge backdrops him and explodes with a Spear for the pinfall. WINNER BY PINFALL: EDGE <div style="color:rgb(26, 26, 26);font-family:Roboto;font-size:20px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:10px solid rgb(160,160,160);"></div> Edge has won the match and will be the final combatant in the World Heavyweight Championship tournament!!! Edge celebrates his win andMr. Perfect looks like he is going to fight Edge but instead offers his hand in a sign of respect. They shake hands and Perfect leaves. Edge is celebrating while JR & King begin to wrap up the sho…. *CRACK* Edge falls down hard from a chair shot to the back. The camera pans up from Edge to the chair to the holder of the chair…. EDDGE GUERRERO IS BACK!!!! Edge stands up and Eddie swings the chair and knocks Edge out. Eddie goes up top and flies off with the Frog Splash. Eddie Guerrero has returned after nearly a year away and has apparently signed with Monday Night Raw and is targeting Edge. Why? And will Edge, with the opportunity of a lifetime ahead of him next week, be able to even compete in the World Title Tournament?
