Imperial Games 2007

Recommended Posts

Okay, this isn't a full dynasty really, but rather a tournament that is part of one. I'm just not decdicated enough to post entire dynasties, but I figured I'd post this for the fun of it. There isn't really much story around it, but hopefully that won't turn anyone off. The game started in 2005 when I took over as head booker for Ring of Honor (ROH). By early 2006, I was over enough to get good backing for my own promotion, and so I left and formed Imperia Wrestling Federation (IWF). In early 2006, I bought out Pro Wrestling Guerilla (PWG) and turned it into a developmental territory. Now it's 2007, and I'm holding a tournament featuring 128 wrestlers from around the world, and the tournament is called Imperial Games. The winner becomes IWF Emperor and earns a shot at the IWF Title (currently held by Jimmy Dragon, played by Bryan Danielson) at the time and place of his or her choice in any match of his or her choice! 72 competitors are a part of the regular IWF roster, 5 competitors are contracted personalities that are no longer active wrestlers, 5 competitors are from PWG, and 41 competitors are from around the world and were given special limited contracts; I am the last competitor. The seeding was determined as follows: IWF talent was given top priority in order of overness, followed by personalities, and then me. PWG talent came next. The rest of the seeds were determined on a first-come-first-served basis, ordering by overness when more than one person entered at the same time. Here is the seeding: IWF IWF Personality PWG Talent Other 1. "Phenomenal" AJ Styles 2. Diamond Dallas Page 3.
cool i like it kind like the wwe king of the ring but with more wrestlers.
That's the basic "template" I based it on, yep. The major differences, though, are a) it's not used strictly as a "gimmick" as KotR was near the end, b) placement isn't "conveiently" place by angle, but rather by a set parameter, and c) it's supposed to portray an actual "competition" of sorts. Indeed, I pretty much halt most storylines during this period, and it takes place over the course of like three months! You got the basic idea, though. KotR with a lot more wrestlers. Oh, and Imperial Games is cooler. ;) Hope you (and anyone else who follows the action) enjoy it!

Oh, one more thing . . . I'll only be posting results for the early matches, but I plan to write up full results (written by hand, not generated by TEW) for the later matches, probably for the Quarter-Finals through the end.

Round of 16 Bracket Here is the bracket for the fourth round of Imperial Games! Time is running out for predictions! Will former IWF Champion Kurt Angle become IWF Emperor and go for his second IWF Championship? Can Raven make his debut have a lasting impact by going all the way? Is The Rock headed back to the top of the wrestling industry? Can Lucy Williams or Aja Kong, the only remaining women in the competition, overcome the odds and take it all? Can anyone stop The Keldon Warlord, who has only lost once (losing to D'Lo Brown by DQ for using a weapon on February 04 2006) since IWF opened its doors? 1. AJ Styles 16. Quarter-Finals Bracket Here is the bracket for the quarter-finals of Imperial Games! Many faces have come and gone over the course of the last two months as we've seen some legends make one final run at greatness and some young lions try to become breakout stars. Out of the field of 128, only 8 remain. The road to the Imperial Games Pay-Per-View has begun! 1. AJ Styles 8. Christopher Daniels 28. Jerry Dunvegan 13. Chad Malenko 99. The Rock 6. Aja Kong 10. Josh Barnett 34. The Keldon Warlord Old foes AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels will enter the squared circle one more time, winner take all. These two are evenly matched in almost every respect! While AJ has been with IWF longer, Daniels has made quite an impact since his debut. Former New Blood member Jerry Dunvegan has used every trick in the book to survive this long, and now he faces a man who has nothing but determination, not caring about anything but victory. Chad Malenko is one half of the IWF Tag Team Champions (with Alex Shelley), but now he has a chance to go after the IWF Title as well. The Rock has made a huge return to wrestling since entering Imperial Games, but Aja Kong has more to lose. The Keldon Warlord seems nigh-invincible at this stage of the game, having run roughshod over the competition now for 16 months. Can Josh Barnett finally end the monster's reign of terror and advance to the next round? Who will advance? Who will become IWF Emperor? Who will go on to face Jimmy Dragon for the IWF Title? Let the Games begin!

A Night To Remember 2006: "Jump in the Fire" Well, that's all for tonight, it's time for bed! If you're interested in seeing what my results are like when written out in full, you can check out A Night To Remember 2006: "Jump in the Fire" over here: http://www.tnm7.de/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.cgi?board=tnmcircs;action=display;num=1151558858 It's actually an earlier card from this very same dynasty, formatted to fit what the locals over there usually use (a pure wrestling sim called TNM7). In case anyone is curious, I'm not using TNM7 or TEW2005; I actually use TEW2004! TEW2005 is on my wife's computer, and I've gotten used to this one on mine, so I've stuck with it since I have a somehwat long-running dynasty going that I'm enjoying so much. Anyway, check out that other card if you're curious as to what I'm capable of. It's an interesting read and also is the setting for the match in which Jimmy Dragon (Bryan Danielson) won the IWF Title from Kurt Angle in a spectacular Iron Man Match. Other than that, stay tuned for the rest of Imperial Games!
