The trade could be less money to sign them (because it leaves them open to taking bookings in other countries) but with the obvious downside of them being able to have the same kind of contract offered by promotions in other regions. T his is also a good way of simulating interpromotional relationships between companies and is something we are starting to see in real life with NJPW and it's American friends in AEW and TNA.
