StanMiguel
This week in wrestling we saw WCW Monday Nitro launch and go head to head with WWF Monday Night RAW. This week RAW hit 8,480 attendance in the Great Lakes and WCW had 7,127 in the South East. ECW Hardcore TV also brought in 788 at the Viking Hall (ECW Arena). I did hear that at WWF Superstars Bob Holly and Marty Janetty got into a fight with Holly being fined for the attack. On the same show Shane Douglas (Dean Douglas in the WWF) and Vince Russo fought too, with Douglas being fined as well. Kevin Nash (WWF's Diesel) debuted a new highspot that seemed to get a big reaction from the crowd. Similarly The Giant debuted a new catchphrase on Monday Nitro that seems to be his go to line moving forward. AJPW dropped Misawa as their figurehead. CMLL exclusively signed WWF Womens Champion Bertha Faye (A.K.A. Rhonda Singh). It also seems that the WWF have resigned Roddy Piper, Vader and Jack Roberts and have some interest in former WCW wrestler Steve Austin who looks to be headed to ECW for the time being. ECW looks to be trying to bring back Sabu as well as bringing in WCW's Dean Malenko and Chris Benoit.

And can Paul really buy back malenko and Benoit when stacked against Ted Turner's millions?

Two-out-of-Three Falls Dog Collar Match: Raven and Stevie Richards w/Beulah McGillicutty vs. The Pitbulls w/Francine - ECW World Tag Team Championship Raven & Richards win the first fall when Raven pins Pitbull #2 after a piledriver through a table at 2:09; The Pitbulls win the second fall when Pitbull #2 pins Richards after a superbomb through a table at 4:20. Francine and McGillicutty get into a catfight until Raven breaks it up and DDTs Francine. Tommy Dreamer runs into the ring and DDTs him for the winning pin at 13:53... But nope, referee Bill Alfonso rushes out and voids it since Dreamer was not contractually part of the match. ECW Commissioner Tod Gordon comes out and restarts the match. Alfonso decks Gordon. Big Dick Dudley rolls into the ring and is standing on crutches, chokeslams Dreamer... 911 walks in, grabs Alfonso, and chokeslams him.
