Marinho88
Company size Can the company size be renamed? Because describing a promotion as a medium size isn't really immersive or realistic, because imagine if Vince had said in a meeting “We're going medium” back when he wanted to go national, that kind of doesn't make sense, so here are some suggestions on what to call it. - Insignificant → Backyard - Tiny → Local - Small → Regional - Medium → National - Big → Continental - Large → International - Titanic → Worldwide or Global I think that would reflect it more realistically. Cult Status Could you add a column on the company screen where you can choose between “is cult” or “is not cult”? Cult promotions should then not lose popularity so quickly but can only grow to a certain size such as national so that the company remains a kind of niche promotion.
SirMichaelJordan
I agree, not sure why we aren’t using the naming from WMMA at this point. Cult suggestion is spot on also. Should be hard to lose fans but at the same time slow to gain new fans. Edited August 26 by SirMichaelJordan
Vinsmoker
Wrestling companies of all sizes have shows across the globe nowadays. Is GCW a International promotion? Or a global one? While the new names aren't necessarily intuitive, they're better fitted for a changing wrestling landscape, as they're about company size, not reach.

What exactly qualifies a company size? In game it isn’t money or even infrastructure, it is reach aka popularity… with context, AEW would be low level international because they run outside the US but only 1 area but even that can be argued because they only run their season final in that area. GCW wouldn’t be neither in the current landscape. They do t have enough popularity in the area . They can go i. Specific non US areas because they have a following their thanks to tv coverage but it’s not an international company where they would be getting international sponsors… Edited August 26 by SirMichaelJordan

I understand your point, but in the end it's about awareness and not reach, just because a few people know a company doesn't mean it immediately has an international Pop. Especially since it's very difficult to recreate it in the game as it is today, otherwise you could say every promotion that shows a show on YouTube or the internet is global. Of course, it would then show a show globally, but you would also have to promote the brand in the relevant country. To establish it there. I know a lot of people who know WWE but have never heard of TNA. Although, TNA used to have TV contracts in Germany. So that means international reach does not mean international awareness. I don't know how it is in the USA, but in Germany there is hardly any talk about WWE or wrestling in the media. And renaming makes it much easier to see exactly how big a promotion is. And it would also be good for historical mods going back to the territory days. Because what exactly is national size? Medium? Big? That's just too vague of a description. And it would also be good for historical mods going back to the territory days. Because what exactly is national size? Medium? Big? That's just too vague of a description. Pro wrestling has no mainstream presence in Germany. (Besides a few documentaries for Galileo, mainly about Axel Tischer and one about Cesaro/Clauio Castagnoli.) That is a aspect that should be simulated via eras and popularity growth (and maybe region specific momentum). The sizes were renamed precisely because they're not the same thing as "going national" would be understood in the territory days. As the sizes are, they are basically popularity milestones, that change how the AI functions in regard to that company. But in the game's context a promotion doesn't actually need to ever leave a territory to gain the popularity of a "National" promotion. And on the opposite end... a company could hold shows regulary in "Southern England", "New South Wales", "Midwest", "Eastern Europe", "Centro" and "Kanto", but still remain "Regional" in size. The renaming adds the additional confusion of "Regional", "National", etc. being actual established terms in pro wrestling, that aren't reflected in the real world. To answer what correlates with a "National" size...Completely depends on the mod maker and their decision to balance things out. (Thanks to the new Eras option it's easier aswell.). This has always been the case anyway. There used to be endless discourse about TNA being "Cult" size or larger, precisely because the size names meant something different, than IRL "National". TNA definitely was a National promotion in direct comparison to the old territories. "Big", "Insignificant", "Medium" are abitrary terms, that can be looked at in the context of a mod in relation to each other. "Backyard", "Regional" or "Global" are established terminology, that can never be properly be reflected in the game Edited August 26 by Vinsmoker
