First of all I wasn't all that sure about making a new thread just for the backstory but i decided that the story would get lost in comments, this way I can make the story the topic, not me asking people if they will make me logos EraVerse 1960: The Age of Purity USA - The Industry Just after WWII wrestling started to pick up again. One giant super promotion that never had a name claimed to have a World Heavyweight Title. The title was fought for on many occasions, up until 1950. In 1950 the big promotion dissolved into 3 smaller regional promotions. Those promotions were, the American National Wrestling Alliance, the United States Wrestling Federation and the National Pro Wrestling Alliance. The country was split in three. ANWA dominated the West. NPWA dominated the Mid. And USWF dominated the East. All stayed the same for 8 years, until NPWA found themselves in problems. Every promotion had difficult periods. For ANWA and USWF those periods came and went. But for NPWA, geography was against them. When fans began to tire of NPWA they travelled either East or West to see the rival promotions. For those who were deep in the East or West of the country they found it ridiculous to travel that far. But for the Mid US wrestling fans, another wrestling promotion was only next door. Thanks to this NPWA closed it’s doors, leaving scores of wrestlers without a company to wrestle for. Thanks to regional promotions these wrestlers found themselves unknown in the West and East, so the question is; Will promotions pick them up? ANWA and USWF have since tried to move in on the Mid US and have found themselves sometimes at war with each other in the Mid US. Chaos has broken out and it’s your job to make your promotion come out on top! Booking for 1960’s EraVerse is a very elite job!

American National Wrestling Alliance Started by former wrestler for “the big promotion” Stuart Arnold. He is a very shrewd businessman who is determined to be number one. He has a built a very talented roster and has recently stumbled across a gem that is, David Hunter. The advantage to his roster is that they are a bunch of young, talented wrestlers. While they don’t all have history to their name, they do have talent. Stuart owns and books the promotion which means he is very close to his talent. Some wrestlers are extremely loyal to Stuart while others find his intensity intimidating. David Hunter recently retired former American Heavyweight Champion, Matt Hanson. He is a very talented, very young athlete who the fans adore. He now has gold around his waist and is waiting until the next Championship Fight Night to prove that he can defend it. ANWA are showing signs of wanting to branch out to the entertainment sector, that has yet to be fully discovered. Stuart Arnold may wish to get through this current rough patch of invading the Mid of the United States and signing potential starts from the Mid, before making any drastic company changes. Titles American Heavyweight Championship David Hunter has been champion for a few months now. He’s young, extremely talented and still learning. It will be awhile until someone will take the title off this extremely special wrestler. David Hunter defeated the now retired Matt Hanson, he had a reign of around 7 years and was the poster boy for ANWA. Date Won ---------> Title Holder ---------> Defeated November 1950 ----> Lewis Harvey -------> John Stanley 19th March 1952 ---> Matt Hanson -------> Lewis Harvey 22nd November 1959 -> David Hunter -------> Matt Hanson The exact date that the title was first won was not recorded. However a tournament was created to crown the first ever champion. The final was between Lewis Harvey and John Stanley, with Lewis Harvey winning after 25 minutes. Matt Hanson was what many people believed to be, the uncrowned champion. He fought Lewis Harvey in a bloody battle. Lewis Harvey ended up popping the blood vessels behind Matt Hanson’s eyes during the bout. However with several deep wounds to the head, Matt Hanson prevailed and became the second ever American Heavyweight Champion. David Hunter was quickly becoming a superstar. At only 23 years of age he was most definitely the number one contender. Matt Hanson (for real) tried to cancel the match on several occasions as he knew that his 7 year reign was seemingly coming to an end. For so long Matt Hanson had been a figure head for ANWA. David Hunter was an amazingly talented youngster who could battle with the best of them. It all came to an end for Matt Hanson at November Championship Fight Night. David Hunter dislocated Matt Hanson’s shoulder at the start of the bout, 17 minutes later Matt was still fighting on. This was until David Hunter attached his dreaded leg lock to Matt Hanson. He actually tapped out with his dislocated arm! David is a very new champion and has yet to be tested, but he has made such an impressive impact that many see him as the champion for a long time now. American Tag Team Championship The American Tag Team Championship was specifically created to settle the feud between the two sets of brothers (the Clark Brothers and the Roberts Brothers)… it didn’t work. For over a year now the two teams have been feuding, but now the fame and fortunes of the American Tag Team Championship are at stake.
