I will not post it all at once as to not overwhelm the readers. Limited Brands Corporation Purchases Wrestling Promotion By Associated Press Sunday, July 30, 2006 Les Wexner, Chairman & CEO of Limited Brands, has purchased a small wrestling promotion out of Pennsylvania. Wexner has been recently looking in to other avenues of business and was convinced that Ring of Honor was worth the risk. "Christopher (Jackson) came up with the idea and we had several meetings about the upside that Ring of Honor has. We feel it is a semi-safe risk to take, and with Jackson's knowledge of the business and working with the staff already in place it should continue on its track already without interruption." Ring of Honor was not available to comment at the present time as they are returning from weekend in Ohio. Many staff members and wrestlers also stayed behind for a meeting in Columbus with Wexner and Jackson. The addition of Ring of Honor to Limited Brands is not expected to hurt their performance on the stock exchange, but could be a potential help to in down the line.
Gabe Sapolsky and Christopher Jackson Meet with TNA Management PWInsider.com Ring of Honor's new chairman Christopher Jackson and head booker Gabe Sapolsky had a recent meeting with TNA. From our sources we believe that Ring of Honor had a peaceful discussion about talent and the future of their promotion. According to the sources ROH is planning on expanding in the near future and would like to keep Homicide, and as a thank you they agree to stop booking Samoa Joe, AJ Styles, and Christopher Daniels for appearences after their current schedule is up also allowing TNA to potentially sign them to a written deal. Alex Shelley, and Jim Cornette will be released to TNA right away as neither are scheduled for upcoming ROH events. TNA seemed happy with the deal and agreed to the verbal deal.
ROH Results War Of The Wire II - Dayton, OH 7/28/06 No Ropped Barbed Wire Match: BJ Whitmer d. WWE Shakeup PWInsider.com WWE has went on another releasing spree across the board. Victims of the cuts are listed as: Jonathan Coachman Lilian Garcia Joey Styles Tazz Dusty Rhodes Chavo Guerrero Arn Anderson Tommy Dreamer Tim White Johnny Ace The Sandman and Paul Heyman The backstage scene and ECW have been effected by the cuts, no word on how this will be viewed by others within the organization. In other news, TNA have released Jerry Lynn from the roster stating that there is no current roll for him in TNA. Others believe that this firing has to do with TNA not viewing Lynn as a marketable athlete. UPDATE! PWInsider has learned more on the situation regarding Paul Heyman's release from the WWE. According to sources Heyman and Vince McMahon had a heated argument behind close doors that ended with Heyman being fired from World Wrestling Entertainment. Upon hearing the news Joey Styles, The Sandman, Tommy Dreamer, and Tazz all quit WWE. The 60 day clause will be in effect for all members who quit, Heyman can find work right away after being fired by McMahon. Sources also say that things got heated between Sabu and Heyman as he was leaving the building, and Sabu has since been heard saying nasty comments about Heyman. No word on what Rob Van Dam has to say on the situation.

OOC: The first few results are going to be like this as this is what ROH already had planned. When I got to the point where I take over, then I will write them in my usual style, unless this way is easier to read and well recieved by readers, but that is not expected. Going Out In Styles - Live, Long Island, NY 8/4/06 ROH Top of the Class Trophy: Shane Hagadorn© v. Derrick Dempsey Hagadorn retained the trophy by rolling Demspey up with a hand full of tights. Hagadorn remained ****y by telling everyone he had a trophy. Matt Sydal & Christopher Daniels v. Irish Airborne Sydal and Daniels win their first tag match together against a tough Irish Airborne team. Daniels won with the Angel's Wings. Homicide came out and said that he had talked with the new management and they have said that they will not allow Low-Ki back in to ROH at this moment in time, but perhaps in the future. They also said that they would honor his other two wishes. Homicide then cut the rest of his promo on Corino and Danielson. ROH Pure Wrestling Title: Nigel McGuinness © vs. Delirious Delirious proved to be a tough opponent for Nigel. Delirious' awkward style kept Nigel off his game and eventually Nigel simply threw Delirious outside and retained with another double countout. KENTA & Davey Richards vs. Jay Briscoe & Mark Briscoe The Briscoes won by singling out Davey for most of the match. KENTA got quite a bit of offense for his team, but the Briscoes continued their winning ways as they eye the ROH Tag Titles. ROH Tag Team Titles/Ultimate Endurance: Austin Aries & Roderick Strong © vs. Jimmy Rave & Sal Rinauro vs. BJ Whitmer & Adam Pearce vs. Ricky Reyes & Mystery Partner of Reye's Choosing Reyes came out with fellow Rottweiler Homicide as his partner. Aries and Strong were visably angry by this as Homicide smiled. The Embassy were the first elimination when Sal Rinauro tapped out to an STF by Homicide. Pearce was later pinned by Aries after a 450 Splash. This left The Rottweilers and the Champions. Aries and Strong retained the title when Aries pinned Homicide after a low blow by Strong allowed Aries to hit a brainbuster on Homicide. Samoa Joe vs. AJ Styles (AJ's Final ROH Match) The crowd was hot for AJ Styles as they knew this would be his last match in ROH history. Joe and Styles shook hands and went to work. The fight took place inside the ring for the majority of the fight, and went on for over half a hour of back and forth action. Joe caught AJ on the top rope and hit a Muscle Buster for the win. After the match Joe got on the stick and thanked AJ Styles for everything he has done in Ring of Honor. The crowd chanted "Thank You" as Styles was on the brink of tears. Bryan Danielson came out along with Christopher Daniels as they all raised AJ's hands. Danielson grabbed the mic and stated that he had a going away gift for AJ, and he pulled out a new ROH World Championship title. He presented it to Styles as the show came to an end.

Ultimate Endurance - Live, Edison, NJ 8/5/06 Top of the Class Trophy: Bobby Dempsey v. Shane Hagadorn© Hagadorn kept the trophy once more with another victory by cheating. Hagadorn is proving to be quite the dirty player, but continues to win. Homicide vs. Adam Pearce Pearce and Homicide had quite a battle. The crowd was in to the contest as Homicide is a clear fan favorite. Homicide finished off Pearce with a Cop Killa for the victory. After the match Homicide got the mic and challenged Steve Corino to any kind of match he wanted for any event in the future. Homicide said he knows that Corino is not here tonight, but knows he will hear the challenge and he expects a response. After Homicide left the ring, Colt Cabana came down the aisle for his match and got on the mic. He put himself and the city of Edison over and then said that later this year in Chicago he would become the next ROH Champion. Delirious v. Colt Cabana A good comedy match from the two stars of ROH. Delirious was very much over as well as Cabana as the crowd was split on who to cheer for. Cabana picked up the victory with a Colt 45, and the two shook hands and walked out together. KENTA vs. Davey Richards KENTA recieved another warm welcome to Ring of Honor in Edison. Davey Richards and KENTA did a good Strong Style match with stiff kicks exchanging between the two. KENTA finally got the upper hand after nailing The KENTA Combo. KENTA followed that up with Go 2 Sleep, a fireman's carry dropping Richards' head to KENTA's knee, knocking him unconscious getting the three count. After KENTA recieved a "Please Come Back" chant and left the ring, Christopher Daniels came down to ringside with Allison Danger and cut a promo. He mentioned that he would be leaving Ring of Honor on 10/7 along with Samoa Joe, so it was time for him to make plans to keep his legacy going in ROH. He said in due time this would become obvious to everyone. Nigel McGuinness vs. Christopher Daniels vs. Jay Lethal vs. Claudio Castagnoli The fourwar contest started off with Daniels and Lethal going toe to toe first, but quickly turned in to the three men singling out Claudio for his CZW status. Claudio never got to tag out as they took turns, but a miscommunication between Daniels and McGuinness led to them brawling outside of the ring while Claudio hit Lethal with his breifcase while the refs back was turned for the victory. Danielson came out with a microphone telling Joe to come to the ring. What he got instead was Homicide rushing to the ring brawling with him. Out of the crowd came a blond haired man who attacked Homicide and threw him out of the ring and started to take a chair to him. When everyone got a clear look at him they noticed it was Steve Corino. Corino and Homicide were seperated by the other workers from the back as Joe's music began to play. ROH Heavyweight Title: Bryan Danielson© vs. Samoa Joe Danielson and Joe had another epic match. Joe and Dragon went back and forth with mat skills and stiff strikes. Joe nearly had the title won again, but Danielson got his foot on the ropes when Joe had the Rear Naked Choke locked in. Danielson came back slowly and caught Joe with a Roaring Elbow out of nowhere for the victory. ROH Tag Team Titles/Ultimate Endurance: Austin Aries & Roderick Strong© vs. Jay Briscoe & Mark Briscoe vs. Matt Sydal & Jack Evans vs. Ricky Reyes & Minoru Fujita Julius Smokes introduced the newest member of The Rottweilers from NOAH before the match began and Minoru Fujita came out in Rottweiler clothing with Ricky Reyes. The other teams followed shortly. The Rottweilers were eliminated first as Jay Briscoe made Ricky Reyes tap out while Fujita was outside brawling with Strong. Tag Scramble rules followed and The Briscoes were isolated between the former Generation Next stablemates. Strong got the pinfall over Mark Briscoe to make the tag team match-up between ex-GenNext members. Sydal and Evans fought back until Aries and Strong stretched and bent Evans in every direction forcing him to tap out to Austin Aries as they retained the tag titles in an Ultimate Endurance for a second straight night.

ROH Invades England Night One - Liverpool, England 8/12/06 Chad Collyer vs. Robbie Brookside Brookside got the English crowd pumped for the first event straight away with a win over Collyer. The British vet came away with a win after an Iconoclasm on Collyer. Brookside was happy with his victory and shared it with the crowd. Jay Fury vs. Jimmy Jacobs In a match filmed for ROHVideos.com Jacobs came out a winner again in a good contest against Fury. Jacobs finished the match with the Contra Code. Jacobs gave another serenade to Lacey after the match concluded. Adam Pearce vs. Jay Lethal In the first match not taped for ROHVideos.com saw Pearce and Lethal go at it in a heated contest. Pearce and Lethal did quite a bit of mat work that went well. Lethal started to take control of the match in the middle, but it didn't last as Pearce finished him off with a Jumping Piledriver for the victory. After Pearce and Lethal got out of the ring, The Embassy came down to ringside as Jimmy Rave got ready for his next contest. Rave cut a promo about how the Embassy is glad to be in a country that can respect royalty. The crowd boo'd Rave and threw toilet paper at him as Davey Richards' music hit. Davey Richards vs. Jimmy Rave Richards ran in and attacked Rave as he tried to go to the outside to get a break from the action. Richards lit Rave up with more of his kicks, but Rave fought back with help from the outside. Sal and Daizee tripped and occupied the ref allowing Rave to get the advantage. Richards battled back and finished off the match with a D.R. Driver (Tiger Driver) for the victory in England. The crowd appaulded Davey as everyone exited the ring. Davey still retains domination over Jimmy Rave as Ring of Honor moves foward. The crowd cheered for the next match as Spud was announced first and they realised it was time for the four corner survival match. Colt Cabana vs. Matt Sydal vs. Jonny Storm vs. Spud This was the sleeper match on the big card. Jonny Storm was the first to be eliminated by Spud after a Colt 45, Cabana tagged in Spud and let him fly off the turnbuckle for the first elimination. Sydal and Spud added an aerial spark to the match as they flew seemingly all over the building. Spud was eliminated after the Cyclorama (Belly to Belly Moonsault). Cabana and Sydal got ready to due battle as the last two. The crowd was into it as Cabana pulled out the victory with a roll-up. The two shook hands and celebrated to the fans as they made their way to the back together. O Fortuna by Apotheosis hit the sound system and Steve Corino came walking out to a huge roar. He came to the ring and grabbed the mic from Bobby Cruise. Corino got on the stick and said that he knew Homicide would be scared to come overseas, because he knew Corino would show up. However, he did accept another match against Homicide that would be in the future. It was just a matter of time before the King of Old School and Homicide would finish what they started. Corino left the ring as Cruise got in to announce the next contest. BJ Whitmer vs. Claudio Castagnoli The two men brawled throughout the arena early on as Claudio attacked Whitmer on the entrance way. Whitmer threw Claudio back into the ring after the lengthy brawl outside. Claudio caught BJ coming back in with a boot to the face. BJ fought back and tried for an Exploder, but Claudio slipped out and put a thumb to the eye of BJ. He rolled Whitmer up and put his feet on the ropes for the needed leverage to win the bout. Claudio got out of the ring fast and made his way to the back as Whitmer looked on in disbelief. Whitmer walked to the back dejected as Cruise allowed everyone to know it was intermission. After coming back Cruise began to announce the number one contender match for the tag titles. The crowd seemed excited to see a UK v NOAH match here in ROH. ROH Tag Team Title #1 Contender's Match: Doug Williams & Jody Fleisch vs. SUWA & Go Shiosaki SUWA and Shiosaki got a loud ovation as they came out with a NOAH banner. Their opponents got the loudest reaction of the night as Williams and Fleisch came out with an England flag. An amazing tag match that this was saw SUWA and Fleisch start the contest that saw a lot of back and forth action, along with quick tags that got everyone envolved. Williams got the victory over Shiosaki with the Chaos Theory, meaning that Williams and Fleisch would go on to a title bout tomorrow night. As Doug and Jody celebrated, Strong and Aries made their way out with the belts and cut a promo saying that tonight they had little worries about The Briscoes. That tomorrow Doug and Jody would have nothing to celebrate as they would lose to the most dominant tag team that Ring of Honor has ever seen. Jody and Doug walked past Aries and Strong on their way to the back. The Briscoes made their way out soon for the tag title contest. ROH Tag Team Titles: Austin Aries & Roderick Strong © vs. Jay Briscoe & Mark Briscoe The match had a quick pace to it as they hit stiff chops back and forth, none more stiff than Strong, and battled back and forth. The Briscoes hit many tag team moves, but the pins were broken up time and time again. Aries irish whipped Mark into the ropes and hit the ground causing Mark to hop over him where Roderick was waiting with a backbreaker. Aries then hit a 450 as Strong kept Jay on the apron. Aries and Strong retained in a hard fought bout with The Briscoes. After the champions made their way out of the ring the fans erupted once again as Nigel came out. Nigel got on the mic before Danielson came out and said that tonight he show why he will become the world champion right here in front of his countrymen. Danielson came out to The Final Countdown once again as the crowd stood up for the world champion. Bryan Danielson vs. Nigel McGuinness The non-title contest saw the match go to the mat early and often as they exchanged positions endlessly. The crowd was standing for nearly the entire match as Nigel and Danielson went back and forth on the mat. Nigel nearly caught Bryan with a roll up, but he managed to escape as he proclaimed to still be the Best in the World. Dragon got back in the ring and found himself in position to lock in Cattle Mutilation, but Nigel found the ropes. Danielson picked up Nigel and irish whipped him in the corner, Danielson ran after him with a forearm, but Nigel ducked and hit Dragon with a forearm of his own. Nigel put Danielson on the ropes and hit the Tower of London for the stunning victory. The fans stood and clapped as American Dragon got back to his feet and Nigel handed him the World Championship. They shook hands and stared down as the show ended. Nigel celebrated as most of the crowd left, and Dragon headed to the back.

ROH invades England Night Two - Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire, England 8/13/06 Davey Richards vs. Matt Sydal The match was a great opener for the evening as Sydal picked up the victory over Richards. Sydal finished off the match with the Double Helix. The two shook hands as Sydal picked up another victory to make it two in a row. Allison Danger vs. Daizee Haze The two ladies had a decent match against one another. Danger picked up the win with a tornado DDT. Danger walked to the back after the win without shaking Daizee's hand. Prince Nana was yelling at Daizee while they were making their way to the back for losing while being a member of the Embassy. Ace Steel vs. Jimmy Jacobs Jacobs and Steel went to the 20 minute time limit. The crowd seemed displeased with the draw, but was a solid bout. Both had near falls during the match, but could not finish the other off. There may be a re-match in the future. Colt Cabana vs. Jimmy Rave Rave got more toilet paper thrown at him during his entrance. Cabana was also well recieved again. After some outside help from The Embassy, Jimmy Rave picked up the unpopular victory over Cabana with Greetings from Ghana. More toilet paper flew in after the match completed to show their displeasure. Nana, Sal, and Daizee tried to sheild Rave as they fled to the backstage area. After the ring was cleared Julius Smokes came out by himself and told everyone that The Rottweilers were going to take over Ring of Honor. Smokes then brought out Reyes and Fujita again for their tag team contest. The Briscoes vs. The Rottweilers (Reye/Fujita) In what was probably the match of the night, Fujita picked up the win over for The Rottweilers. The Briscoes are 0 for 2 on the trip to England which hurts their standings in the tag team division. Fujita pinned Jay after the Fujita Driver. Fujita got a good response from the British crowd as they celebrated after the match. BJ Whitmer vs. Sal Rinauro Whitmer made quick work out of the weakest Embassy member. After the match ended with an Exploder, Prince Nana and Jimmy Rave got in the ring and again humiliated Sal in front of the crowd. Nana said that Sal would have to be taken to Ghana for some extensive training. Bobby Cruise announced that it was time for intermission. After the 15 minute break the crowd got back in their seats as the show continued. ROH Tag Team Titles: Doug Williams & Jody Fleisch vs. Austin Aries & Roderick Strong© Aries and Strong retained in a good match against the two respected Englishmen. Williams hit the Chaos Theory on Strong, but Aries flew off with the 450 to retain the titles again. Strong and Aries shook the hands of the two men and left the ring. Williams and Fleisch got on the stick and thanked Ring of Honor and the fans in attendance for their support. ROH Heavyweight Title: Delirious vs. Bryan Danielson© Danielson again defended his World Championship in a fun comedy bout. Delirious gave Danielson all he could handle, but could not stop a roaring elbow that send him down and out. Danielson, as of now, is proving to really be "The Best in the World". Nigel came out and had a breif stare down with Danielson as he was leaving the ring. Nigel got on the mic and challenged anyone for the Pure Championship. Nigel's request was answered by Adam Pearce to set up the main event bout. ROH Pure Title: Adam Pearce vs. Nigel McGuinness© In a very technical contest Pearce nearly dethroned Nigel, but Nigel used his third rope break to stay alive. Nigel finished off Pearce with the Guvnor's Crumpet. Pearce shook his hand afterwards and left the ring as Nigel waved to the crowd, and then left the ring and started to go into the crowd to celebrate the victory and ROH's trip to England.

Return to the Twin Cities - St. Paul, MN 8/25/06 Davey Richards vs. Shane Hagadorn Richards gets back on the winning track with a victory over the former Top of the Class Trophy holder. Richards won the contest with a D. R. Driver. Hagadorn showed progress in the match, but was just outclassed in the opener. The Briscoes vs. The Dempseys Jay and Mark dominated this fight early on, and Mark finished off the victory pinning Bobby after a Spiked Jay Driller. The ROH Students were 0-2 on the night, but showed progress for the future. After the match Steve Corino came out and again asked where Homicide was at. He wasn't going to be able to make it to Chicago because of commitments elsewhere, but still challenged Homicide to a fight there in St. Paul where Homicide was not at. Colt Cabana vs. Jay Fury This was probably the surprise bout of the night as Fury and Cabana had a very good match together. Fury tapped out to a STF that gave Cabana a win before his match with Danielson tomorrow night in Chicago. Fury seemed to get respect from his match against Cabana. Bobby Cruise got on the microphone to let the crowd know it was intermission time, and would only be 15 minutes long. Delirious vs. Matt Sydal Sydal and Delirious had a good fast paced match-up that saw Sydal again come out the victor. Delirious and Sydal did quite a bit of flying around the arena, that Sydal got the advantage from. Sydal celebrated after the match as Delirious made his way to the back. As Sydal started to go to the back Bobby Cruise introduced Daniels for the next contest. Sydal and Daniels had a bit of a conversation, as they are tag partners, before Sydal made it all the way to the lockerrooms. After Claudio came to the ring he got on the mic and put himself over as a CZW Superstar with a ROH contract. Castangoli put down the ROH Talent and then prepared for his match against The Fallen Angel. Christopher Daniels vs. Claudio Castangoli The crowd was hot for the match after Claudio's promo. Claudio had the upper hand early in the fight after putting a finger to the eye of Daniels. Daniels fought back after the crowd started to chant his name to get him fired up. Daniels almost finished Castangoli off with The Angel's Wings, but Claudio slipped out and ran away. Daniels won by countout as the crowd booed Claudio relentlessly. ROH Heavyweight Title: Bryan Danielson© vs. Jack Evans Before the fight started Danielson mocked Evans and continued to state that he is the Best in the World. Evans got a decent amount of offense, but Danielson's technical ability grounded the speedy worker, and bent him six ways from Sunday. Danielson made Evans tap out to the Crossface Chickenwing. ROH Tag Team Titles: Austin Aries & Roderick Strong © vs. Samoa Joe & BJ Whitmer This was the match of the night as Aries and Strong retained in a hard fought battle. Strong and Whitmer started the title contest in the ring where Strong got the better of the chops, naturally. The match soon broke down into an anticipation of when Aries and Joe would get in the ring together again. When they did the fans started a dueling chant as the two went back and forth. After a lengthy battle Aries made the tag out, as did Joe, and Strong got the win with a CX '03, as Joe was stopped from breaking it up.

Chicago Ridge, IL 8/26/06 Jay Lethal vs. Shane Hagadorn Hagadorn suffered another loss on the doubleshot, as Lethal finished off the match with a Lethal Driver, the springboard implant DDT. Hagadorn seemed upset after the match and walked to the back upset. Davey Richards vs. Jack Evans Richards showed his versatility to adapt to Evans' style. He won the match with a D.R. Driver II, a double underhook brainbuster. Evans was on the other end of some of Richards' stiff kicks and chops, but responded with plenty of offense himself. Evans did seem sore the night after his match against Danielson. The Dempseys vs. Matt Sydal & Christopher Daniels Before the match began Daniels got on the mic and said that he has taken Sydal under his wing to teach him the proper way. After the short promo they got to work and finished off The Dempsey's. Daniels pinned Bobby after the Last Rites. Sydal kept Derrick on the outside by flying over the top rope to the outside. Sydal and Daniels left with Allison Danger by their side. Non-Title: Jimmy Rave vs. Nigel McGuinness Prince Nana got on the microphone and said that after Rave's win tonight, Nigel would have to grant him a shot at the Pure Title. Nana also gave an update on Sal in Ghana. Nigel and Rave put on a solid Pure match. Rave won with the assistance of Nana on the outside. After Nana hit Nigel with the championship while Rave occupied Sinclair, Rave took the opportunity and hit Greetings from Ghana for the win. Rave, Nana, and Daizee all high-tailed it to the back after the win. BJ Whitmer vs. Jimmy Jacobs Whitmer and Jacobs went toe-to-toe at the early part of the match, Whitmer winning that battle. Jacobs had Lacey shouting orders at him from the floor while he tried to outsmart BJ. Jacobs picked up the victory with a Contra Code out of nowhere, much to Lacey's delight. The two former tag champions shook hands after the match and walked back together. Bobby Cruise signaled for a 15 minute intermission for the last leg of the doubleshot weekend in Chicago. Claudio Castagnoli vs. Samoa Joe Again prior to stepping in the ring Claudio got on the stick to talk about how great he was, and how Ring of Honor could do nothing to stop him from being there. At about the time he finished that sentence, Samoa Joe's music hit and he strolled out. Joe smacked Claudio around early and often. Claudio rebounded to take Joe to the outside and used his brawling strategy to his advantage. He put Joe in the chair by the guardrail and attempted to give Joe a taste of his medicine, but Joe stood up and clothesline Castagnoli. The match ended in a DQ as Nate Webb showed up and attacked Joe. Claudio and Nate put the boots to Joe until Ace Steel ran out to Joe's aid. ROH Tag Team Titles: Austin Aries & Roderick Strong © vs. Delirious & Homicide Delirious made his way out first and then Homicide. Homicide tried to talk to his partner, but Delirious was in his pre-match form and showed no movement. The tag champions came out second and the match was ready to get underway. Once the bell sounded Delirious went insane like normal as the other three men stared at him. Delirious took off outside running around, but didn't get far as Aries jumped off the apron with an elbow and threw him in the ring against Strong. The match was back and forth with all four men seeing offense. Homicide tried for a pin after a Yakuza Kick to Aries, but Strong broke it up. Strong ended the match with the Stronghold on Delirious. Homicide couldn't make the save in time, but then got on the microphone after everyone left the ring. He talked about Steve Corino and how scared he was of Homicide as he would only show up at the events he wasn't at. Homicide called out Corino for another match and left. ROH Heavyweight Title/2 Out Of 3 Falls: Bryan Danielson© (If Still Champion) vs. Colt Cabana The match lived up to the hype as the Chicago fans were hot for this one. The two popular ROH regulars went and forth early on with some comedy before getting serious into the match. Danielson won the first fall with a Dragon Suplex at about the 21 minute mark. Cabana regained his composure and went back to work for the second fall. Danielson would not give up easy and the two battled outside to the floor. The two men made it back to the ring and Danielson reached in to his tights and pulled out some brass knuckles that he hit Cabana with. Todd Sinclair saw the move and Disqualified Dragon to give the second fall to Cabana. Danielson moved Sinclair out of the way and locked in Cattle Mutilation, Sinclair had no choice but to call for the bell to start the third fall, but Cabana was already unconscious. His hand dropped three times as the crowd boo'd and Danielson kept the ROH Heavyweight Championship.

The Rottweilers played to the crowd as they exited the ring and walked to the back as the crowd chanted Anti-Corino remarks to Homicide as he smirked. Survival of the Fittest Prelim: Ace Steel vs. BJ Whitmer In a match to see who would enter Survival of the Fittest, for a chance to win the ROH Heavyweight Title, BJ Whitmer came out on top after an Exploder. ROH Pure Title: Nigel McGuinness © vs. Jimmy Jacobs Lacey was giving more orders than ever with Jacobs' shot at gold, but it just wasn't to be. Nigel wore down Jacobs and with no rope breaks he had no choice but to tap while in the mexican surfboard. Nigel grabbed his title and walked away as Lacey attended to Jimmy. Survival of the Fittest Prelim: Christopher Daniels vs. Delirious In the second prelim Daniels and Delirious had a quality match-up in which Daneils prevailed. The Briscoe Brothers vs. KENTA and Naomichi Marafuji KENTA and Marafuji recieved a warm return to Ring of Honor from the fans as they put on a tag team classic against the Briscoes. Survival of the Fittest Prelim: Spud vs. Matt Sydal Sydal defeated Spud to move on to Survival of the Fittest in Columbus. Sydal finished off the small lightweight with a Shooting Star Press. Sydal wore new trunks that were black with blue writing that said Sydal, with the L written in an Ankh. Survival of the Fittest Prelim: Colt Cabana vs. Jay Lethal The second and last prelim for Survival of the Fittest saw Colt Cabana and Jay Lethal in a technical battle, with Cabana winning. The Colt 45 was too much for Lethal in the end, and Cabana moves on for another chance to get the ROH Heavyweight Championship. Lethal stayed on his knees for awhile after suffering a tough loss that could have helped him in his career. Non-Title: Austin Aries & Roderick Strong vs. The Rottweilers (Reyes & Fujita) This match competed for match of the night as these two teams went at it in a great tag team contest. The Rottweilers defeated the champions in a non-title bout, possibly setting up a future contest between the two teams. Reyes submitted Roderick Strong with a Dragon Sleeper for the win. The match saw more strong style action and great potential for a feud in the future. Non-Title: Nigel McGuinnes vs. Jimmy Rave, if Rave wins he gets his shot at the Pure Title In a re-match where Nigel agreed to give Rave a title shot if he won saw Nigel lose again to Rave. The former tag champions Whitmer and Jacobs came out together with Lacey in tow to defend Ring of Honor in this grudge match. Jacobs pinned Nate Webb after hitting a Doomsday Rana. Whitmer kept Claudio from breaking up the count as Ring of Honor continues to win as Claudio tries to continue CZW's battle. ROH Heavyweight Title: Bryan Danielson© vs. KENTA Danielson successfully defended the Ring of Honor title one more time as KENTA put up a valent effort. Danielson ended the match with the Cattle Mutilation. KENTA recieved more chants from the crowd to return to Ring of Honor someday. The Briscoe Brothers vs. Homicide and Samoa Joe The main event was showcasing the first time Homicide and Joe would team up. The Briscoes have had seperate feuds with both men, but never together. Homicide took the fight outside of the ring, and Joe would use his size to push around the Briscoes. Mark and Jay would not give up, fighting back with tag team expertise. Jay had Homicide ready for a Jay Driller, but Samoa Joe stopped it with a thrust kick to the jaw. WWE Releases More, Ring of Honor News PWInsider.com The WWE have released a few more superstars from the active roster this week, among cut: Dean Malenko Akio Jack Doan Sylvester Terkay Jim Duggan Ricky Steamboat CW Anderson Mike Knox Kelly Doink the Clown Court Bauer More were released but names were not available at this time. This is being explained as a cost cutting measure, but some of the releases came as a shock as the WWE spent so much time and energy building up these stars. In ROH news, as we reported nearly two months ago the former WWE releases, Ring of Honor have come to terms with the 'Innovator of Violence' Tommy Dreamer. This is suspected to be a non-wrestling roll with the company however. Ring of Honor is also speculated to have contacted famed announcer Joey Styles, but no confirmation on that situation has been brought to the forefront. Styles 60 day non-working agreement for his walk-out will end the day before Ring of Honor's Survival of the Fittest, but it is doubtful he will make it there in time for the event if signed. There has been some speculation from inside our own staff that ROH will contact some more WWE layoffs for work in the future, such as Jimmy Yang who has worked for them previously. Also in Ring of Honor news, Minoru Fujita has been released by Pro Wreslting NOAH. NOAH released the star a few days ago, and ROH have been in contact to sign him to a written deal as he is no longer a member of NOAH's roster and ROH have had a long standing working agreement with them. It is expected that Minoru Fujita will sign the contract and be a full time member of the Ring of Honor roster for the future.

Survival Of The Fittest 2006 - Columbus, OH 10/6/06 SOTF Qualifier: Adam Pearce vs. Homicide A nice opener for Surivival of the Fittest 2006. A good turn out for this show in Columbus as the venue was changed. Limited Brands, which is based out of Columbus, did extensive advertising leading into the show. Pearce and Homicide battled back and forth, but Homicide finished off the match with a lariat for the pin. Homicide is the first person to advance, after the match he grabbed a mic as Pearce left the ring. Homicide: Steve Corino, I've done my part bitch. It's time for you to do yours. As Homicide continued on talking the video screen at St. John Arena kicked on with Corino being shown. Corino: Homicide, you should be more concerned with the ROH Championship tonight. That is all I care about, sure you'll be there, that is just a bonus. But don't worry about what is going to happen on my end in the qualifier, because I will advance and win the title tonight, sweet pea. The video screen turned off and Homicide left the ring angry, but he had advanced to the finals. SOTF Qualifier: Bryan Danielson © vs. Matt Sydal Danielson was almost upset numerous times by Sydal. Sydal was relentless in his attacks, but the technical skill of Danielson proved too much as he grounded Sydal and finished him off with the Cattle Mutilation. Sydal was fuming after the match and laid out the referee. Danielson is the second man to advance to the title match, in his bid to retain. SOTF Qualifier: BJ Whitmer vs. Steve Corino Whitmer and Corino had a very good brawling match in this qualifier. Whitmer tossed Corino outside and the two began to brawl more on the outside in front of the fans. The two men eventually came back in to the squared circle and finished the match as Corino hit the Old School Expulsion for the victory. After the match Homicide ran down to the ring, but Corino ran away telling Homicide that he is too smart for this. Whitmer regained his composure and held Homicide back telling him that he'd get his chance in the cage tonight. SOTF Qualifier: Davey Richards vs. Jimmy Rave Richards has so far had Rave's number. Richards lit Rave up with kicks to the body as the early part of the match continued on. Rave took control of the match after stopping the attacks from Richards. Rave pushed Davey to the outside where Nana and Daizee put the boots to him and rolled him back in. The match continued as the fans rallied behind Richards. Rave tried to hit Greetings from Ghana, but Davey slipped out and caught Rave in a small package for the win. Richards ran out of the ring as Nana and Daizee got in, and Rave was furious once more as Davey wins again. SOTF Qualifier: Austin Aries vs. Roderick Strong The tag champions came out together, united. Aries and Strong shook hands before the contest as they both tried to advance to the finals. Strong chopped Aries into a corner early on, but Aries fought back with quick strikes of his own. The crowd favored Austin Aries more, but showed their support for Strong. Strong hit numerous backbreakers on Austin, wearing his back down more and more. Aries worked back slowly, and surprised Strong with a brainbuster and got the pin. Aries favored his back as the champions hugged and walked to the back together. SOTF Qualifier: Christopher Daniels vs. Colt Cabana The last qualifier saw two of the most popular ROH stars do battle. The two men went tooth and nail in the early part of the bout, seeing each reverse numerous move attempts. Cabana nearly had the match won early on with a roll-up, but Daniels got the shoulder up and the fight continued. Daniels had a sense of urgency after that and started to battle back with signature moves and plenty of heart. Daniels advanced after hitting the triple moonsault after a snap suplex for the victory. Cabana offered a handshake, but Daniels shook his head and left the ring. Ace Steel vs. Jimmy Jacobs The next match was the only non-SotF match on the card, and is a re-match of the time limit draw previously. Steel and Jacobs picked up where they left off with their battle. Both men got offense, and both men were at the recieving end of a beating. The twenty minute time limit came up again, and no one was able to finish the other off. As the time limit put an end to the match, Steel and Jacobs stared each other down wandering what they would have to do to win. Bobby Cruise got in the ring and announced that before intermission was to happen, Christopher Jackson had a major announcement for the future of Ring of Honor. Jackson came out in a nice, clean suit and got the microphone from Cruise. Christopher Jackson: I hope you are enjoying your evening so far tonight. 2006 has been a wonderful year for Ring of Honor, and that will carry over in to 2007. Many fans have found it odd that we have no yet announced tour dates for the 07 year, but there is a reason for that. Starting in January, Ring of Honor will be going on a tour like never before. The tour will begin at Final Battle in Manhattan and take us across the United States and around the globe. Ring of Honor is setting up dates in Canada, England, and Japan for 2007. Also I am here to announce two big signings for Ring of Honor, that will improve this company. The 'Innovator of Violence' Tommy Dreamer has joined Ring of Honor in a backstage capacity to help teach the fundamentals to the young guys backstage. And as of this morning all Ring of Honor events on DVD will be commentated by Joey Styles! Enjoy the intermission and the show. Thank You! Intermission. The cage was constructed, it is around the ring, not on it. The space between the ring and the cage is around five to six feet in width. The title is hanging from the ceiling waiting to be lowered when the final man enters the cage. Many of the fans stayed and watch the cage be constructed, as others visited the consession stands and merchendise stands. Before the match began Bryan Danielson appeared on the St. John Arena video screen with the ROH Heavyweight Championship belt. Danielson: Peasants of Ohio let me just go ahead and spoil your evening right now. You see not one of these so called wrestlers is better than me, I am the "Best in the World". No matter what you think or believe out there, tonight is all about me, and I as champion, I reserve the right to be the last man to enter the cage. ROH Heavyweight Title - Cage of Survival: Bryan Danielson ©, Austin Aries, Christopher Daniels, Davey Richards, Homicide, and Steve Corino Bobby Cruise began to introduce each participant one by one, first was Davey Richards, then Steve Corino. Cruise then announces Austin Aries, Christopher Daniels, and then Homicide. Homicide charged to the ring and chased Corino, but Corino got away once more. Finally the last participant to enter was the champion, who came out with a smug look on his face. Each man was checked for weapons and then Bobby Cruise got on the microphone to announce the rules, and who would be starting off. Bobby Cruise: Two men will begin the match, then one at a time at two minute intervals they wll enter the Cage of Survival. After all six men have entered, the ROH Heavyweight Championship will be lowered through the top of the cage, and the first man to retrieve the title will be the winner. The first man in the cage will be... Davey Richards! And the second man in the cage is... Austin Aries! The bell rang and Aries and Richards sized each other up before locking up for the title match. Richards worked on Aries' back some more, as Aries was still favoring it. The two minutes was up and Homicide was the next in the cage. Homicide ran in and lariated Richards to the ground and started to stomp on him as Aries lay on the ground. Homicide walked out of the ring and looked under the ring and grabbed a steel chair. Homicide hit Aries right in the back sending him down to the mat. Richards got back up and knocked the chair out of Homicide's hands. Christopher Daniels was the next in and went after Aries. Richards backed Homicide into the ropes and started to kick him, but Homicide grabbed a leg and T-Bone Suplexed him over the top rope to the floor. Daniels had Aries in a Boston Crab as Corino snuck in the cage with something wrapped around his hand. Homicide was looking outside at Richards when Corino turned him around and hit him with a closed fist. As Homicide went down in pain everyone realised his fist was wrapped in barbed wire. Aries fought back to his feet and chopped Daniels away. Dragon finally entered as all six men were in, and the title lowered from the ceiling. Danielson went right for the ladder propped against the cage and leveled Richards with it before climbing in the ring. He set up the ladder and started to climb when Aries knocked him onto the ropes. Cornio and Homicide were still going at it on the outside, and Corino managed to pull out a table. Richards got back to his feet and inside the ring where he attacked Daniels. Aries and Dragon went toe-to-toe, as Homicide and Corino were more content with hurting each other. The bout waged on for more than 35 minutes. The ladder was propped up against the post inside the ring. Corino had set up the table against the cage and tried to put Homicide through it, but Homicide blocked the attempt with a kick to the groin. Inside the ring Davey Richards got put out with the Angel's Wings. Homicide leveled Corino with a chair shot and then pulled the table down and set it up properly. He rolled Corino in the ring and set him up on the top turnbuckle. Daniels, Danielson, and Aries were in the adjacent corner about to suplex one another. Simultanesouly, they all suplexed one another and Homicide hit a top rope Ace Crusher on the table. Richards started to regroup and climbed back in the ring. Seeing all the men laid out he got the ladder and set it up. He slowly climbed it one rung at a time, and American Dragon got to his feet and stopped him from climbing any further. Danielson pulled Richards down a couple rungs and then hit a release Dragon Suplex from the ladder. Homicide started to move from the outside, and Aries got to his feet. Danielson recovered and got Aries to the mat and locked in the Cattle Mutilation on his bad back that has been in agony all night. Daniels got up and hit the triple jump moonsault on Danielson while the Cattle Mutilation was locked in. Daniels got to his feet first, and Homicide was waiting and gave him a boot to the midsection, and nailed the Cop Killa. Homicide, Aries, Corino, and Richards were all busted open from the match. Homicide set up the ladder and made it to the top when Corino got in the ring. Homicide jumped for the title and snatched it from the ring as Corino lept for the ladder. The crowd erupted as Homicide fell to the canvas with the championship. Danielson was still out from the moonsault, and Aries was in pain with his back. The crowd chanted 'Homicide' and 'Thank You' after the match ended. The cage was rose and Homicide stood alone, almost in tears grasping the Ring of Honor Heavyweight Championship.

End of Eras - Detroit, MI 10/7/06 Ace Steel vs. Jay Lethal vs. Shane Hagadorn Hagadorn continues his quest to try and win a match, but the ROH veterens were just too much in this bout. Ace Steel picked up the win with a Spinal Shock on Hagadorn. Lethal got some offense in the match but could not make the stop on the pinfall. Delirious vs. Jimmy Jacobs Jacobs again takes on a former tag team partner. Delirious and Jacobs started off in a comedy bout as the two went back and forth. Jacobs even did a Huss for the crowd during the early portions, that Lacey did not enjoy. Jacobs and Delirious picked up the pace and had a solid match for the fans. Delirious picked up with with a Chemical Imbalance #2. Loser Leaves ROH: BJ Whitmer vs. Claudio Castagnoli Claudio and Whitmer went straight to the outside and started to brawl everywhere. They fought in to the crowd and back near the ring. As BJ tossed Claudio back into the ring Nate Webb ran down and started attacking BJ. The bell sounded and Ace Steel ran down to defend BJ. After the match BJ took the microphone from Bobby Cruise before he made an announcement. Whitmer: No one is leaving ROH after this. Do you want to end this once and for all? Then next month, bring Nate Webb and I'll bring Crazy Ace, and we will settle this. Ace and BJ stared down at Claudio and Nate as they left the arena. ROH Tag Team Titles: Austin Aries & Roderick Strong © vs. Irish Airborne Aries came out wrapped up and favoring his back. The match was interesting as the Irish Airborne isolated Aries for the better part of the match focusing on his back. Irish Airborne nearly got the ROH Tag Championship, but Aries made the tag and Strong started to clean house. Strong finished off Irish Airborne with a Texas Cloverleaf. Aries laid on his back after the tag and Strong helped carry him to the back. Christopher Daniels & Matt Sydal vs. Bryan Danielson & Colt Cabana Daniels came out for his final match with Allison Danger and Matt Sydal following. He threw up the old sign for the Prophecy and got in the ring to do battle. Sydal started the bout against Cabana. The match went back and forth and saw Daniels and Danielson go toe-to-toe as a throwback to the first couple of ROH shows. Danielson and Cabana went outside to regroup, but Sydal flew over the top rope and took both guys out. Daniels pulled Danielson back in and gave him the Last Rites and tagged out to Matt Sydal. He told Sydal to do something by whispering in his ear. Sydal picked up the former champion and hit the Angel's Wings for the victory. After the match Daniels got on the microphone. Daniels: As everyone knows this is my last match for Ring of Honor, and ever since I came back I have had unfinished business. Matt, you'll have to continue my quest and finish it for me. That is why I have choosen you Matt. You are the new leader... of The Prophecy! Sydal smiled and all three threw up the Prophecy sign, as the crowd cheered for the return. Afterwards the crowd clapped and said thank you to Christopher Daniels for his years of hard work for ROH. Intermission. ROH Pure Title: Nigel McGuinness © vs. Jimmy Rave Rave came out with Nana and Daizee again. Nana got on the mic before the match and proclaimed that tonight we would have a new Pure Champion, and the belt would once again come home. The match got underway and started with the slow pace of Nigel's. Nigel used reversals to always stay ahead of Jimmy Rave during the early portion of the fight. Rave got back in to the fight after hitting a perfect dropkick that sent Nigel down to the mat. Rave picked Nigel back up and hit a nice suplex and rolled into a guillotine choke. It was sunk in deep, but Nigel reached the ropes with his legs. Rave got up and was yelling at the ref and diverting his attention as Sal Rinauro showed back up in ROH and hit a Phoenix Fury Legdrop on Nigel and rolled out of the ring as Sinclair turned back around. Rave grabbed Nigel and hit Greetings from Ghana for the win and the title. The Embassy embraced Sal and Jimmy as they all went to the back as Rave won the championship. Homicide vs. Samoa Joe The crowd was hot for the main event. The new ROH Heavyweight Champion came out first and awaited Samoa Joe for his final contest. Joe and Homicide had another one of their classic matches as they went tooth and nail the entire match. Momentum would shift back and forth with stiff strikes. Joe hit a Muscle Buster, but the champion kicked out. Homicide hit a Ace Crusher, but Samoa Joe kicked out. The fans were on their feet the entire match as the two enemies did battle. The match went on for nearly 30 minutes when Homicide nailed Joe with a lariat, but Joe did not go down. Homicide stared and then hit another Ace Crusher and got the pinfall. The crowd stood up after the match thanking Joe. Joe got to one knee and looked around as Homicide asked for the microphone. Homicide: Joe, you and me have been at war many times throughout Ring of Honor. And you bleed ROH, you breathe ROH, and these fans love you for that. Even I love you for that. We are a brotherhood here at Ring of Honor and you should never forget that. I'm sure everyone will agree with me when I say... YOU ARE ****IN' RING OF HONOR! Christopher Daniels come out here too... Daniels made his way to the ring, after he got in the ring many Ring of Honor wrestlers and staff made their way to the ring as the fans chanted their names and thank you. ROH Regulars embraced with the two ROH legends. Many of the guys lifted Joe and Daniels on their shoulders and carried them around the ring for one final time. Homicide threw Joe the ROH Championship and let him parade it around as well as the show ended.

WWE Firing and Ring of Honor News PWInsider.com WWE has fired veteren Stevie Richards from the company after a disagreement backstage with the writers. Richards has never gotten a fair shake from the WWE, but now has the opportunity to take bookings on the independent scene. Richards has already scheduled his first booking at 1PW for next Saturday, but anything beyond that has not been finalized. CM Punk has been rumored to be taking this hard as he has become close friends with Richards backstage. Punk continues to wrestle for ECW, but has not been pushed since his debut. WWE are concerned that his style does not gel with the direction they are wanting to take ECW in. Punk's morale has taken a hit by Stevie's firing. As reported prior to the double shot weekend Minoru Fujita has signed a deal with ROH. After being released from NOAH, Ring of Honor moved right in and signed him to a deal that would make him a full-time member of the roster. Also in Columbus, Ohio ROH announced the signing of Joey Styles. Styles will remain at his home until it is time to do commentary for DVD releases, or when he may be needed for ROH live shows. Style's position at ROH may expand over time, but as of now it will strictly be DVD Commentary. As we speculated last week, Ring of Honor did move foward in signing Jimmy Yang after his release from the WWE. What we did not expect was ROH's signings of Ricky Steamboat, Jack Doan, and Dean Malenko. Doan will continue to referee, while Steamboat and Malenko will work on the road for ROH as agents.

Dayton, OH 10/27/06 ROH Tag Team Titles: Austin Aries & Roderick Strong © vs. The Dempsey's The show in Dayton, Ohio kicked off with a tag team championship match. Aries was still favoring his back, but not as much as in the last show. Strong carried the match load for his partner as he finished off Derrick Dempsey with a Texas Cloverleaf to retain the tag team championship. Aries and Strong held up the titles and challenged anyone to attempt to remove them at the end of the match. Delirious vs. Jerrelle Clark Jerrelle Clark and Delirious had a good high paced match-up in Dayton. Both men flew across the arena leaving the crowd in awe of their athleticism. Delirious picked up the victory with a Chemical Imbalance #2. Delirious got a good reception from the Dayton crowd as always, and Clark impressed. BJ Whitmer & Ace Steel vs. Irish Airborne This match was scheduled to be a hardcore contest and no tags were needed. Irish Airborne held their own, but this match was a warm up for Steel and Whitmer before tomorrow's losers leave contest. Whitmer and Steel were in their element as Steel finished off Dave Crist with a Steel Spike on a chair. After the match Steel and Whitmer got on the mic. Steel: Tomorrow Claudio, you and Nate Webb will suffer a worse fate than these two. You see, we actually like and respect Irish Airborne, and you have seen what we have done to them tonight. Whitmer: Claudio, you escaped our last match thanks to Webb, but tomorrow there is no escape. Tomorrow's match may not be a hardcore contest, but we prepared ourselves for all of the tricks you have up your sleeve. You two will leave Ring of Honor forever tomorrow, so pack your bags. Jay Fury vs. Adam Pearce The contest was entertaining and saw Pearce pick up the win. Pearce finished off Fury with his signature Piledriver. Fury had some offense but Adam was the superior man tonight. Pearce looked good and could see some more high profile matches in the future. Intermission. ROH Pure Title: Jimmy Rave © vs. Chad Collyer Chad Collyer was made for the Pure division, but Jimmy Rave retained after Sal interfered again. Jimmy Rave made his first successful title defense with help from the Embassy. Collyer and Rave had the same amount of offense, but Collyer was on the verge of winning the strap when Sal made the difference. Rave, Sal, Nana, and Daizee all celebrated in the ring when Nigel showed up. McGuinness: Now I'm not here to rain on your parade. I'm simply demanding a rematch for the Pure Championship. You beat me with some help, just like you did Collyer tonight. If you manage to beat Jay Lethal tomorrow night, I want a title rematch down the line. Have your fun tonight, because I will win my title back. Jimmy Yang vs. Shane Hagadorn Jimmy Yang made his return to Ring of Honor in a match up against the former ROH Top of the Class trophy holder. Yang made quick work of Hagadorn by finishing him with some Yang Time. Yang made an impressive return to Ring of Honor and looks to be a force for the future. After Yang exited the ring Steve Corino appeared from the crowd. Corino: Homicide, I know you hate me just as much as I hate you. But the reason I am here tonight is not to fight, I promise you that much, but to challenge you for the ROH Heavyweight Championship. Not tonight or tomorrow, but at Final Battle in a couple months time. Due to my commitments elsewhere I could not get this done sooner. *Corino smirks* However, I want our match to be special, we have already have a barbed wire war, and many others. But for Final Battle I suggest that we have a Dog Collar match. The first to touch all four corners wins, it's that simple. Homicide, I'm actually rooting for you to win all your matches until then, because I want to fight you for the title. Corino went back into the crowd as the main event began. ROH Heavyweight Title: Homicide © vs. Jack Evans Evans and Homicide went toe-to-toe during the opening minutes, and Homicide got the better of that. Evans rebounded to nearly upset Homicide in his first defense. Homicide started to bend and nearly break Evans throughout the match and finished him with a Cop Killa to retain. Homicide shook Evans' hand and then grabbed the microphone. Homicide: Corino! You know I don't have to think long about this decision. You are on, just prepare yourself for a war ************!
