BHOTWG: Japanese Tradition (Attempt 2)

::Sorry guys, last time I tried this, I inadvertantly deleted my entire database, which I had edited considerably, and frankly was too upset to try and start over, however, here we go, first show WILL be up shortly:: **Brief backstory, essentially Marat Khoklov gets extremely over in PGHW, so Burning Hammer bring in Oleksandr Kvasnik, an equally green huge Russian, who faces young Matt Lang, also making his debut match in Burning Hammer, and broke his neck with a Lariat. As an act of apology, Lang is placed as the youngest ever, and first American, booker of Burning Hammer of the Wrestling Gods. BHOTWG LORDS OF THE RING LIVE FROM THE SOLD OUT FUKOKA ATHLETICS STADIUM DARK MATCH: WASHI HEAT vs. NARIAKI HITOMI vs. This match pitted two men I have pegged as future stars: Washi Heat, unusual in that he looks like a Super Junior, but has the size and style of a heavyweight and the young Hitomi, good skills, great look. A solid, hard hitting match ensued to get the crowd warmed up, these two have great chemistry. Hitomi had the upper hand on Washi for most of the long matchup, but gradually Washi's stiff chops took their toll. He nailed a jumping shining wizard and floored Hitomi, and locked him soundly into a Surfboard, giving him no choice but to tap. WINNER AT 8:06 WASHI HEAT RATING:C+ DARK MATCH: EVEREST vs. HARRISON HASH vs. In a minor storyline earlier in the year, young Panda Mask lost in a mask vs. mask match against Kokan, in a match which took place in Burning Hammer's first ever tour of Mexico. From then on the former Panda Mask became a bitter youngster, Harrison Hash. Hash had his work cut out for him on this night, however, as the Junior division wrestler takes on the 300+ pounder Everest. The bigman had very little trouble squashing (literally) the youngster with a Tidal Wave Splash. WINNER AT 5:54 EVEREST RATING:C *THE MAIN SHOW OPENS WITH AN ANNOUNCEMENT FROM THE ANNOUNCERS, SAYING THAT FOR THE NEXT COUPLE OF WEEKS IN BURNING HAMMER THERE WILL BE A TOURNAMENT TO DECIDE THE # 1 CONTENDER TO SUPER JOSHUA'S BURNING JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIP - WORKERS INVOLVED ARE SENSATIONAL DRAGON, THE INCREDIBLE KOYAMA, EAGLE KAWASAWA, THE LEGENDARY OPTIMUS, KANSUKE KONDA, SILVER SHIBANUMA, THE AWESOME KIYARU, VENOM, MARIHITO MASUKO, MOKUAMI MAITA, ELEMENTAL II, AND SPYDER YAKUTA - THE FIRST MATCH WILL HAPPEN NEXT! MATCH 1: SENSATIONAL DRAGON vs. EAGLE KAWASAWA vs. Off we go on the first round of the Burning Junior's Tournament, up and comer Sensational Dragon vs. The Student of the Legendary Optimus, Eagle Kawasawa. Amazingly, these two didn't click, and in a spot filled match, the slightest messup can turn the Japanese fans against you. The match moved back and forth with a lot of High Flying action, until Sensational Dragon bounded off the ropes and hit a Dragon Slice, to which Eagle Kawasawa could not kick out. WINNER AT 13:27 SENSATIONAL DRAGON RATING: B *Next on the card the announcers hype a 4 team tag showdown, winner will face tag champs, The Alliance 2K right here next week* TAG TEAM TURMOIL: SHARK AND JOSHUYA vs. THE GAIJINS (JIMMY COX & PISTOL PETE HALL) vs. THE REBELLION vs. SANDA AND HAMACHO & vs. & vs. & vs. & Off we go on an entertaining, hard hitting tag team bout. A little history lesson on the Gaijins, they appeared in mid June and began reaking havoc on the native Japanese wrestlers, battling in the name of the stars and stripes, and proved to be tough opponents. The Rebellion held the titles for months until being beaten by The Alliance 2K last month. This match had a lot of fast paced, puro style action, and the ending came when The Gaijins did a Lariat, Drop Toe Hold, combo, and then Jimmy Cox locked in a Texas Cloverleaf on Silver Shark for the win. Interesting to note that Super Joshuya and Silver Shark work well as a team. WINNERS AT 10:54 THE GAIJINS RATING: B+ MATCH 3: THE INCREDIBLE KOYAMA vs. OPTIMUS vs. What a match in the Junior tourney! One of my personal favorites, the man who can springboard off of anything and into any maneuver against the legend Optimus. What ensued was one of Optimus' best matches in the recent past. The 48 year old agreed to help train the 23 year old after the match, which should help out both of them. High flying fast pace action like this is what made Burning Hammer the premiere federation in Japan. The ending came when Koyama did a Springboard Dragonsault, which Optimus miraculously rolled through for a hold-your-breath finish. WINNER AT 12:33 OPTIMUS RATING: A *Next up we have a clash of the titans! Huge Russian Olehsandr Kvasnik vs. Australian legend Bruce the Giant!! MATCH 4: BRUCE THE GIANT vs. OLEKSANDR KVASNIK vs. The two men in the squared circle were a combined 800+ lbs. in a clash seldom seen in Japanese arenas. A slow plodding battle ensued, but these two men know their roles well enough to have a decent match. The background on this one is that Oleksandr came into BHOTWG with a torrid undefeated streak which began in the infmous paralysis of Matt Lang over 5 months ago and still hasn't ended. That is, until tonight. The 300 lbs. Russian was not used to being the smaller man in a contest, and that worked in Bruce's favor. In an impressive feat, Bruce won with a Giant Chokeslam. This feud is in no way over, as Oleksandr broke all Japanese customs by attacking the revered Bruce after the match, and doing the unthinkable, hitting an F-5 on the huge man!!! WINNER AT 3:48 THE AWESOME KIYARU vs. VENOM vs. Yet another Juniors match in the tourney here, and another solid one. The tow masked men put on a typical BHOTWG high-flying affair, which Kiyaru won after Venom attempted to spit green mist into Kiyaru's face, but his mask protected him, and Kiyaru hit a Kiyaru effect for a nice victory. WINNER AT 8:58 THE AWESOME KIYARU RATING: B+ MATCH 5: HOODED KUDO vs. ANGRY GILMORE - # 1 Contender's Match vs. Do I really need to type anything about this match? Great one! WINNER AT 14:05 HOODED KUDO RATING: A* *There was a battle royal shown only to those live in attendance with all the main event stars, such as champion Raul Hughes**
