World Wrestling Entertainment: Continued Domination

Very good main event for SmackDown! I was sad for the breakup of Londrick, though. :( Good diary so far; I'm big on Burchill, so cheers for the new US Champ. I hope to see big things from Ares, God of Cruiserweights in the future. Keep it up! :D

From Gerweck.net
WWE is happy to report that Ken Doane (Kenny), Michelle McCool, and Nick Dinsmore (Eugene) have all recently signed contract extensions with the WWE. There is rumors flying around that Matt Hardy is in his final month of his contract, and hasn't been real happy with WWE management lately, and is fielding offers from other promotions, and plans on making a decision on his future in the upcoming weeks. Be sure to tune into Monday Night Raw this week as it promises to big an action packed one just six days before the Cyber Sunday pay per view. The main event will see Edge team up with one person in the main event voting, Randy Orton, to take on the two other men in the voting, Triple H and Shawn Michaels. John Cena and Brock Lesnar who are meeting at Cyber Sunday will have pick your poison matches this Monday, with each man picking his rival's opponent for the night. Who will each man pick to soften their opponent up for this Sunday. The final women's title match qualifier will take place as Torrie Wilson will take on Mickie James. Also, more matches are expected to be announced for Cyber Sunday, and voting will be opened after the conclusion of Monday Night Raw, so be sure to cast your vote.
Nice diary. I think the booking gives it a realistic touch, although at times I find the show descriptions a little too brief, but then again I wouldn't pump out uber-detailed shows for RAW, ECW and SD every week. I second that it's a shame to see London and Kendrick splitting, but I'll be interested to see how you use them from here on. Also, that Kurt Angle pic is scary as hell. ;)

Monday Night Raw Monday, November Week 1, 2006 Live from Seattle, WA Attendence: 7,040 Vince McMahon comes out and says he has a huge announcement. At Survivor Series, in less than one month, four WWE Superstars will take on four ECW Extremist in a classic Survivor Series matchup. The catch though is that if WWE wins the matchup, ECW will be gone for good, and if ECW wins they can choose two superstars from Raw and Smackdown to be on their roster on a permanent basis, and will earn a future pay-per-view deal that will give them a pay-per view every three months. McMahon then announces that he has chosen two of the WWE combatants, and they make their way to the ring. They are the WWE Champion Edge and the World Heavyweight Champion King Booker. Grade- A Brock Lesnar appears backstage, he says that before their match at Cyber Sunday him and John Cena have pick your poison matches on Raw tonight. Cena used his brute stregnth to combat Shelton Benjamin's pure athletisism, even though Benjamin still got very impressive moves in. Cena eventually gained the upper hand, and hit the FU on Benjamin to succesfully fend off a Brock Lesnar pick, and get ready for Cyber Sunday. They then announce what the fans can vote on in Cyber Sunday. The Highlanders can pick three people to come ringside with them, or the three other members of the Spirit Squad can be banned from ringside, it's all up to the fans. He hit him with the Samoan Bulldozer after toying with him for a few minutes for the victory. Grade- A+ Torrie Wilson is seen backstage getting ready for her upcoming match, which is the final qualifier for the Cyber Sunday four way match for the WWE Women's Championship. Mickie James had her beat in technical abilities, speed, and pure in ring prowless. Every time Torrie would have a move, Mickie would pull one out that outdid it. Finally, Mickie hit the Mickie DDT for the victory and advances to Cyber Sunday. Grade- B- After the match Lita appears on the TitanTron. From Gerweck.net
Be sure to tune into ECW on Sci Fi this week. Last week Mr. McMahon came into the House of Extreme last week and interupted a big match. Then on Raw he announced one of the biggest matches in WWE and ECW history. Word is that Heyman has picked two of the participants for the ECW side for the match, and they will team up on ECW to face Edge and King Booker, who have already been announced to be in the match. Also, last week Sandman won the number one contendership for a Cyber Sunday title shot. What will happen this week between the ECW Champion and the number one contender? Fireworks are set to explode whenever these two get into a ring together, and should not be missed. Also, be sure to get your vote in for Cyber Sunday if you haven't....Thank you to the people who have already.
From Gerweck.net
Word is that several promotions have taken advantage of new television scheduling and have announced that they are going to debut new shows, even though the wrestling industy and economy are reaching all time lows. The shows are as following: Combat Zone Wrestling: CZW Wrestling Night, on Local Access TV. Jersey All Pro Wrestling: JAPW As Good as it Gets, on MSG. 1 Pro Wrestling: 1PW: The Stars, On Local Access TV. CMLL: CMLL Lucha Total, On The Hallmark Channel. AAA: AAA Accion Viva, On Antena 3 International Be sure to tune into Friday Night Smackdown, coming off the heels of a historic show this episode promises to keep up the fast paced action. This week on ECW, Smackdown Color Commentator made a shocking return to the ring as he took out RVD, giving Team WWE the upper hand, and JBL has promised to explain his actions on Smackdown. Also last week there was an epic main event between Kurt Angle and Chris Benoit, what will these two have to say about their classic encounter? Ken Kennedy lost his United States Championship last week on Smackdown, and was denied a rematch by Teddy Long earlier this week, and WWE.com has learned that Long has said that Kennedy will start back at the bottom and will be forced to work his way up through the Smackdown ranks yet again. Last week Chavo beat Mysterio with questionable tactics, what will the master of the 619 have to say to his former friend? The main event of the evening though is the World Heavyweight Championship match between King Booker and Batista, which will be no disqualifications. Will the Animal dethrone the King for his second World Heavyweight Championship reign, or will the King tame the Animal yet again?
The two men battled back and forth throughout the arena for many minutes. Queen Sharmell then made her presence felt by handing the title to King Booker, and he hit Batista right in the face with the title, then drug Batista back into the ring, pinned him, but only got the two count. King Booker then delivered a kick to the gut of Batista, bounced off the ropes looking to hit the Scissors Kick, but Batista drove him down into the mat with a hard Spinebuster. The crowd then got to their feet, sensing what was next. Batista then lifted King Booker up and dropped him straight down to the mat with a thunderous Batista bomb. Friday Night Smackdown! Friday, November Week 1, 2006 Live from Bridgeport, CT Attendence: 8,779 Smackdown kicks off this week with the WWE Champion Edge and World Heavyweight Champion King Booker standing in the middle of the ring. They talk about their big appearance on ECW this week, and that one man made a huge impact, and is now officially part of Team WWE at Survivor Series, John Bradshaw Layfield. JBL says that he could not sit at the announce table and watch ECW overun the company that he loves, and he will do anything to defend it against those no good extremist, and that anything includes making his full time in ring return to Smackdown. He then announces that WWE has signed a replacement for his color commentator spot already, and he is former TNA Color Comentator, Don West. Grade- B vs. This opening match on Smackdown saw a perinial fan favorite, Matt Hardy, taking on arguably one of the most dangerous men in WWE, Sylvester Terkay. Terkay used his MMA abilities throughout the match to ground Hardy, not letting him use his famous high flying skills to gain the upper hand, for most of the match that is. Hardy saw his opening and began hitting Terkay with various aerial moves, thoroughly confusing the big man, allowing Hardy to sneak in a Twist of Fate on him to get the shocking victory. Winner- Matt Hardy Grade- C+ Batista is backstage, he says tonight he gets the oppertunity to face King Booker in a no DQ match against King Booker for the World Heavyweight Championship, and nothing will be able to stop him from gaining his second World Title reign tonight. Grade- B+ The cameras are in Kurt Angle's locker room, when all of a sudden the door opens and Chris Benoit walks in. He gets in Kurt's face, then backs off and extends his hand, which Angle accepts and they shake hands. Benoit says he respects Angle and his great wrestling ability, and that they should get together and do it again sometime. Grade- B+ Tajiri and Kenzo Suzuki, The Bronze Warriors are standing backstage, getting themselves hyped up for their debut match on Smackdown, by screaming things in Japanese, then storming there way to the ring. Grade- C- vs. The Bronze Warriors music played as their opponents, The Naturals, stood in the ring waiting for them to make it to ringside. The Warriors stormed down to the ring ready for battle. They dominated Douglas and Stevens with many innovative Japanese holds, with Tajiri throwing kicks like crazy to both men, sending them reeling. The Bronze Warriors used an innovative finisher to put the match away, with Kenzo chop blocking Douglas in the back of the knee, sending him falling down to the mat, and as he fell forward, Tajiri delivered a Buzzsaw Kick to his face, knocking him out cold, allowing The Bronze Warriors to pick up an impressive debut victory. Winner- The Bronze Warriors Grade- C Don West and Michael Cole are talking to the fans at home, when the lights go out, and The Undertaker's music hits, and the Deadman makes his way to the ring. When he reaches the ring, he is interupted by Finlay's music, who has a mic and stands on the entrance ramp. Finlay demands to know what type of match that Undertaker has chosen. Taker then points to the TitanTron, where a video plays of The Undertaker's great history of Hell in a Cell Matches, then Taker says; Me, You, Survivor Series, HELL IN A CELL! Grade- B+ Ken Kennedy says that many of the rednecks around the world may not have the internet, so would not know that he was denied a rematch for the United States Championship by Teddy Long, and is being forced to start back at the bottom of the Smackdown roster and work his way back up. Grade- B- vs. This match was the debut of the self proclaimed God of the Cruiserweights, Ares. Ares looked very impressive in his WWE debut, pushing Kendrick around with a wide array of technical moves. Kendrick eventually started using his high flying abilities, and put Ares down with a vicious DDT. Kendrick then went up top looking to finish the match, Paul London snuck his way down to ringside and threw Kendrick off the top rope. Ares then capitalized, lifting Kedrick up and dropping him striaght down on his head with a sickening brainbuster. Winner- Ares Grade- C After the match Paul London gets back in the ring and begins laying the boots to Brian Kendrick, and leaves him out for the second straight week. As he is leaving the ring he grabs the mic, and officially challenges him for a one on one match for next week's Smackdown. Grade- C- Smackdown GM Teddy Long is in his office on the phone, when Rey Mysterio comes barging into the room. He says that he was screwed out of his match last week with Chavo and demands that Teddy give him another match against Guerrero. Teddy says he will take this into careful consideration over the next few weeks. Grade- B- Bobby Lashley appears backstage, poking fun of the fact that Ken Kennedy has to start back at the bottom of the Smackdown ladder, saying that he will be waiting for Kennedy, when and if he gets back to the top. He then adds that by the time he does he will be World Heavyweight Champion, and then they can have a feud over the title of titles. Grade- B- vs. Mr. Kennedy's climb back up the Smackdown ladder was not an easy one. It started against one of the Cruiserweight's brightest stars, Super Crazy. Super Crazy pushed Kennedy to his limits all through this match, but Kennedy proved why he had made it to the top of Smackdown, by beating Super Crazy with a Lambeau Leap, starting his climb back to the top. Winner- Ken Kennedy Grade- B- The WWE Tag Team Champions, The Pitbulls, hit the ring. They demand that they have the mics, and issue an open challenge to any tag team on Smackdown, saying that they will prove why they are the champs. Grade- C+ vs. William Regal's music answers the open challenge from The Pitbulls. He says that he is a veteran of the tag team scene, and has been scouting the roster for a new tag partner for weeks, and thinks he may have found one, Sean O'Haire. Regal and O'Haire simply outbrawled the champs, as they were very unprepared for this match. O'Haire made short work of Noble with the Widow Maker, much to the delight of his apparant new tag partner and mentor, William Regal. Winners- William Regal and Sean O'Haire Grade- C+ The longest reigning champion in Sports Entertainment hits the ring. He says what Ares did to him last week is unforgivable, and that in due time he will get what is coming to him, and Helms will prove why he is the most dominant champion in the WWE today. Grade- C+ vs. Helms then had in impromptu match with Psicosis, who made his way to the ring after Helms was done speaking. Helms backed up what he said just moments ago, that he was the most dominate champion in the WWE today, by making very quick work of Psicosis with the Shining Wizard. Winner- Gregory Helms Grade- C+ The new United States Champion, Paul Burchill is seen backstage, with his title in one hand, and a sword in another. He says that he shocked the world last week, and Swashbuckling on Smackdown has officially started back up with a bang. As he got up from the move, he was met out of nowhere by an RKO from Raw's Randy Orton. Orton then rolled King Booker on top of Batista, allowing him to get the pinfall, and yet again, sucessfully defend his title against Batista. WWE Championship- Edge(c) vs. Shawn Michaels - Edge isn't ready to lose it yet ECW Championship- Big Show(c) vs. Sandman (Extreme Rules) - not a Sandman fan John Cena vs. Brock Lesnar (I Quit Match) - no reason needed lol IC Championship- Jeff Hardy(c) vs. Johnny Nitro (Ladder Match) - just think Nitro is a future star Umaga vs. Triple H - well I don't think you'd be able to get HHH to job!
