mcsimfan
Do coaches with good development skills just help a player reach his potential or do they increase the potential as well? A similiar or secondary question would be can players actual ratings be higher than their potential?

lahoward
good question because i drafted a 3 star FS and at the end of his SO year(was redshirted as FR) his potential was at 83. I know i would've remembered his potential being that high after the draft but he left after his JR year so he had to have been either a higher potential at draft (scout error) or the coach accelerated his potential or what i think is that each player has a random # set for potential and every once in a great while snake eyes is rolled and the potential rtg takes a jump.
