DaVE: Join the Revolution!

2007: JOIN THE REVOLUTION from Pro Wrestling Hits: 2007 Preview Danger and Violence Extreme started out in the tri-state area 15 years ago as a company with a dream: to change the wrestling world. It has been a long, uphill battle for Phil Vibert and his band a wrestling madmen but now they stand at the horizon of a new year poised to become the legitimate number two promotion in the United States. With head booker Justin Donovan at the helm, and a solid locker room in every aspect, last year saw the company draw recordbreaking numbers. The new creative team brought us the most refreshing wrestling programming in years, with memorable fueds that saw Acid ousted from The School of Tradition, only to win the Unified title from stable leader Eric Tyler in a fantastic match at the first DAVE November to Remember PPV. We saw Hell's Bouncer emerge as a true main eventer in his role as Phil Vibert's bodyguard, and through a series of awesome matches with DAVE mainstay Nemesis. The company saw a scare when Nemesis was threatened with retirement, but a restructuring in the booking allowed him to take the better part of 2006 off from in-ring activity (save his 2 PPV matches with Hell's Bouncer). Although in the coming year he is likely to maintain a light in-ring schedule, and for the remainder of his career, it his dedication and talent that has helped drive the company to its current heights. For much of 2006 we saw him alongside Travis Century as the resident cult in the DAVE ranks, although the two drifted apart on-screen and the relationship was forgotten in preperation for Nemesis' "full time" return. We also saw the emergence of the DAVE Showcase Title as a replacement for the Brass Knuckles Title. Head booker Justin Donovan noted that the new DAVE would once again bring hardcore wrestling to the forefront of the product, and opted to replace the Brass Knuckles division with a new place for DAVE's finest to show off their talents. "Extreme isn't just about violent, hardcore matches for us," Donovan told Pro Wrestling Hits. "Extreme is also about the guys who go out and put on wrestling clinics; the guys that can go all night if they have to, and look amazing doing it." Heading into 2007, Bryan Holmes is the reigning Showcase champion and the division is well-stocked with competitors like Art Reed, Jack Giedroyc, Shawn Gonzalez, and JD Morgan. This past year also saw DAVE rise up the ranks as a nationally known company after Danger Zone TV moved to The Pop! Network, a much more natural fit for the tri-state bad boys. They steadily picked up viewers in both the United States and Canada. They also signed a PPV deal with Public Access Select, allowing their newfound Canadian fans access to the monthly supercards. House shows started in late December as they began to sign more of their talent to written deals, and as of press time they had come to terms with all of the major stars. The biggest upset of this initial setup for their national run had to be the signing of Bryan Holmes, thus ending his run for PGHW in Japan. It was also a battle to sign Hell's Bouncer to a written deal after interest from TCW, but they eventually came to terms to keep him in the company that made him famous. DAVE paid out loads of cash to lock in their top stars, thanks to the extra funds from sponsors and the profit of their ultra-successful December Underground PPV, the first broadcast via North American Prime Select. The rise in status also saw their roster grow with the additions of Jack Griffith, Joey Minnesota, and Danny B Bling to compliment 2006 breakouts Samoan Machine and WEXXV standout Taheji Konoe. But the year was not without its misses from DAVE, such as Rhino Umaga's push as an unstoppable monster with Honest Frank as a mouthpiece, Taheji Konoe as the first Showcase champion, and Sgt. Bubba Lee West's pathetic run with the company. Honest Frank was booted from the company when Phil Vibert took over managerial duties for Umaga in a run with Hell's Bouncer as Corporate Security. After enough backlash from the fans, who simply weren't buying into his style or character, Rhino Umaga found himself on the outs in September. Sadly, we also saw the departure of mainstay Vin Tanner from DAVE in June. He remained away from the business before signing with SWF earlier this month. Adrenaline Rush, the team of Sammy Bach and Teddy Powell, also recieved the boot in August. The Wolverine was released in mid-July, and his partner Big Cat Brandon was repackaged as tough-as-nails biker James Brandon. But, by far, DAVE's biggest coup came in the form of a late night announcement via the company's website on Sunday of Week 3. It read, simply, "DAVE has come to terms with superstar Ricky Dale Johnson. He will be in attendance at our first show of 2007, Back In Black." As we started 2006 the question was simply "Can DAVE survive?" But, with a new year upon us, the question now is only "Can DAVE be stopped?"
using the wrespi 2 data? always good to have another Danger and Violence Extreme diary on board
Started with WreSpi 2 data with a few tweaks along the way, mostly just making it so Nemesis was still an active competitor after a few months away and changing Danger Zone TV from East Coast Today to The Pop! Network. I also changed a few things around just to see how it would affect the game world, such as adding PDW to the database as a child company for TCW. I'm actually already into March 2007, and will be spending some time getting the dynasty readers up to speed with DAVE and the rest of the wrestling world. I'll be making posts most from within the game world, so to speak. . . posts will normally be from Pro Wrestling Hits magazine, GrappleFantatics.net, DAVEWrestling.com, a few other sites that will throw back to the EWR days (some sites post credible stories, others don't. . . you'll have to decide for yourself when you read them), or will be shows. There might be a backstage post or two here and there, but I don't really plan on telling the story of me as head booker behind the scenes so much as I plan on telling the story of DAVE trying to overcome TCW. Any questions and/or comments are welcome as I catch everyone up. And thanks thanks for the kind words, mystic! I've enjoyed reading your DAVE dynasty, and my game seems to be going so well, I figured I'd share with everyone. . . I just rose to International status as I got to C in Canada, but I accidentally let my contract with The Pop! Network expire so I have no show airing there now! (Sooo glad Adam made it so the game reminds you in 07) But that is already dealt with, as you'll see when we get there. . . :)
I'm curious. In the releases citing 'unable to get over', is that booker-speak for 'hit their overness cap too soon'? :)
Actually, the case is a little different for each of the three released for that reason. Hell Monkey was exactly that, couldn't get him past a C- overness for the life of me. I even booked him to go over established Lower Midcard/Opener workers, and in a few All Out Time Limit Draws with a Midcarder or two and nothing. With Rhino Umaga, it was that the crowd just really didn't care about anything he did. Booked him as Brass Knuckles champion before the belt was transformed into the Showcase title, gave him a push as an unstable, unstoppable monster with a decent mouthpiece (although there were no notes about his chemistry with Honest Frank, it said that he & Phil Vibert played off of one another very well). . . nothing. Even when I had him turn on Frank to become 'Corporate Security' for Phil Vibert along with Hell's Bouncer. . . the two had no chemistry as partners, and he fail to leech popularity from either of the two MASSIVELY over heels. And, unfortunately, for Sgt. Bubba Lee West he just didn't click with ANYONE I booked him against. I liked the character, and decided to book him as a Midcarder initially and fued with Johnny Martin (trying to teach some of the basics and get him over at the same time). Decent heat built up over the initial angles, but their first match got a C- rating and noted that they didn't click. I bumped him down the card a little, figuring I had a couple talented Lower Midcarders/Openers that I could book him against and accomplish the same thing. . . but every single match I tried to book him in to help him improve, he had no chemistry with in the ring. . . and something inside me said that Sgt. Bubba Lee West vs Tank Bradley just had crapfest written all over it. Another amusing sidenote, I decided on a whim and a bong hit to book the worst possible match I could think of as a dark match just to see what would come of it. Thus, an unfortunate crowd gathered for Danger Zone TV's opening match: Doug Peak vs Tank Bradley. But the two had great chemistry in the ring, and pulled off a C+ rated match that lasted about 5 minutes. Working them (and their teams, The NJ Devils and The Peak Brothers) against one another, I actually managed to get both Doug and Tank's basic skills up to around C+. Anyway, enough 'out of character' chatter for now. There's still a game world to be set up! The main focus of this game will be in North America as the battle between TCW and DAVE rages on, with SWF looming overhead and NOTBPW a common nuisance to both. So I hadn't planned on posting much info on the rest of the world (at least not in the for of 'End of the Year Reports'). But I would be more than happy to answer any questons someone might have. . . the scene in Japan is on fire at the moment, and a new promotion just opened in Europe. Coming up in the next couple of posts will be a valid DAVE roster as of Monday, Week 1, January 2006, as well as a preview for Back in Black. There will also be a few wrestler spotlights posted (which will include a few from every game area) so people can see what some of the general favorites and breakout stars of the game are up to.

North America: Who to Watch in 2007, pt. one from Pro Wrestling Hits: 2007 Preview Despite losing the NOTBPW Canadian Title in November, Sean McFly managed to rank in at #1 in our yearly Top 100 and win the award for Wrestler of the Year in our polls. In what was by far his best match of the year, and possibly of his entire career, he went toe-to-toe with Jerermy Stone in our Match of the Year. He begins 2007 sitting in the NOTBPW Main Event scene, and with The McWade Brothers leaving to work for DAVE full-time in January, it has yet to be seen what will happen to McFly. He has been involved in a fued with the twins since Dean McWade unseated him as champion. Angry Gilmore had a great year in SWF, reaching new heights of popularity later in the year after a face turn and fued with veteran Sam Keith. This came on the heels of a six-month reign as tag team champion with 'Sexual Aggresion' partner Joe Sexy and things only look to be getting better in 2007. Serving as Phil Vibert's personal security guard, Hell's Bouncer has a breakout year with DAVE due to an outstanding fued with veteran Nemesis. It all started when Nemesis protege Travis Century began interfering with Vibert's plans for Eric Tyler to replace Acid as Unified Champion; Vibert sent Bouncer to get the job done, and found Nemesis standing directly in his way. This lead to an eventual face turn before his in-ring return at The Alternate Showcase in September; Bouncer would not only win the match (with help from manager Vibert), but drive Nemesis away from TV for nearly a month! It only seems a matter of time before Vibert's monster makes a run for the gold! Marc DuBois has been impressing since his debut just one year ago, and the only place to go in 2007 is up. His matches have been steadily improving, and his popularity seems to grow with every passing week, making him a safe bet as SWF North American champion by year's end. Ever since signing with NOTBPW, Freddie Datsun has been showing wrestling fans that he truly can be the star SWF never allowed him to be. He held his own against Sean McFly in September, and has churned out nothing but solid performances all year; 2007 could truly be his year. Jack Griffith returned from wrestling exile this year with hopes of returning to his old form; he recieved his first break when DAVE signed him to a deal in November and the hype began for his return. A fued began between Griffith and face Jack Giedroyc during the final days of the year, and the match they had to set it all off indicates that these two may have the hottest fued of 2007's winter months. After signing with DAVE in the early summer and recieving a push as hardcore turncoat heel, allying himself with Eric Tyler's 'School of Tradition', Madman Boone shocked the wrestling world by signing with NOTBPW. His push before leaving was quickly destroyed by Rhino Umaga and upon his arrival up north, Boone formed the unlikely duo of 'Hit and Run' with technical wiz Harrison Hash. The two held the tag team titles in the later summer months before losing them to the same team they beat, The McWade Brothers. Youngster Wolf Hawkins enjoyed a long reign as TCW All-Action champion in 2006, and won the Tag Team titles with 'Youth Gone Wild' partner Stevie Grayson at the end of November. Their win started the beginning of the end for dominant team The Machines, and the former partners were set for a fued to start 2007. Their popularity ever-rising, 2007 looks good for the young Tag Team champions!

DAVEWRESTLING.COM: OFFICIAL PREVIEW FOR BACK IN BLACK 2007 (posted Sunday, Week 4, Demember 2006) Well kiddies, a new year is upon us and you know what that means: time to nurse another New Year's Ever hangover with a dose of Danger and Violence Extreme! As all you little webheads already know Ricky Dale Johnson will be in attendance at Illinois State Park. Will RDJ have something to say to Unified Chamion Travis Century after his recent comments on Danger Zone TV? And, speak of the devil, the Extreme Preacher is set to face Chris Caulfield with his Unified title on the line. These two had a fued that literally set the arena on fire during their matches this summer, and with Caulfield's showing in the recent number one contender's tournament, its sure to be a another hot one! It's been building for the better part of a year, and this Monday will finally see it happen: Nemesis/Hell's Bouncer III! Last time these two fought the ring was overrun with Phil Vibert's underlings who managed to help Bouncer escape with his life in tact. This time there will be a stell cell surronding the ring with no way in, and no way out. . . certainly not something for your grandparents to enjoy! This past Friday on Danger Zone TV, you all saw Art Reed blindside Shawn Gonzalez in hopes of getting the Showcase title shot at Back In Black. However, The Lone Wolf made it apparent later in the evening that he would indeed be in Illinois to face Bryan Holmes. . . but, how's this for a curveball. . . wait for it. . . wait. . . at Back in Black it will be. . . Showcase Champion Bryan Holmes defending against. . . Shawn Gonzalez. . . AND Art Reed in a three-way dance! After being out of action nearly two months, Johnny Martin will be seeking revenge against the man that nearly broke his neck with a vicious piledriver, The School of Tradtion's own Joey Minnesota. Something about this one has 'blood loss' written all over it. And, just announced, after the recent time limit drawn between Jack Giedroyc and Jack Griffith on Danger Zone TV, these two have been booked in a rematch. When you're live on PPV, there is no time limit, and this will definitely be one for all you tape trading pirates out there! See you in Illinois kiddies! Japan: Who to Watch in 2007 from Pro Wrestling Hits: 2007 Preview Raymond Diaz has had quite an impressive year with PGHW. After his long-time tag team partner Lee Wright decided to retire from the regular Japanese wrestling scene, many wondered what would be next for the big brawler known as "The Monster." After many impressive showings, Diaz showed the world what was next: a Historical Japan title win over Danger Kumasaka, starting a reign that continues as we enter 2007. "Explosive" Chuichi Sanda had a great year in BHOTWG, his reign as Burning World Tag Team titles with partner Eiji Hamacho continuing into 2007 and Sanda himself moving into the upper ranks of the company. He ranked in at number 96 on the Top 100 Wrestlers of 2006, and looks to be moving up in 2007! With a five month reign as the first INSPIRE Wrestling Spirit Champion, Morimasa Kato showed the world his fire for the first time. He beat, and later lost the belt to, Billy Russell in the finals of the tournament, and made his best showing yet in a match defending the belt against Tasuku Iesada at Steel Twisted Battle in November.

THE DIRT SHEETS - MONDAY, WEEK ONE, JANUARY 2007 GRAPPLEFANATICS.NET RICKY DALE JOHNSON: BEGINNING OF AN ERA Tomorrow night, Ricky Dale Johnson will be making his first appearance as a star for a company other than TCW. The former TCW World Champion recently spoke with GrappleFanatics.net for a quick interview before his flight to Chicago. Johnson said that he was looking forward to a new playing field with new challenges, and mentioned that he had a few things to get off his chest about DAVE Unified Champion Travis Century. A full interview will be posted in the days after Back in Black right here on GF.net! WRESTLING-HEAT.COM MORE STARS LEAVING TCW Rumour has it that Rick Law, Joel Bryant, and Liberty. Are all coming to the end of their contracts with TCW. With Ricky Dale Johnson's departure for DAVE, one could only imagine that others will follow suit but that may depend on how his debut is handled at tomorrow night's DAVE PPV, Back in Black. One insider even went as far as to say that Liberty has already reached a deal with the DAVE offices! RDJ NOT IN ILLINOIS Sources in Illinois preparing for tomorrow night's DAVE PPV have confirmed that Ricky Dale Johnson has yet to show up at the hotel arranged for him. There is rumour that he will throw the TCW World Title into the garbage to kick off the first big PPV of the year, and its possible that he may be held up through some legal processes of TCW and owner Tommy Cornell. RDJ left the company only a day ago while still the recognized TCW World Champion. WRESTLECIRCLE.COM SEAN MCFLY VS. DARK ANGEL ON CHAMPIONSHIP TV The first main event of 2007 has been announced for NOTBPW, and it will see Sean McFly take on Dark Angel it what is sure to be an amazing match. The bout will take place live, Tuesday night on NOTBPW Championship TV. PURO-NEWS.CO.JP WEXXV CLOSES DOORS After recent financial problems despite desperate attempts to turn the company around, Ryu Kajahara's Warrior Engine XXV has declared bankruptcy. The retirement of veteran Saionji Onimura last fall, along with the loss of talent from DAVE, was certainly the company's death knell. Young stars Taheji Konoe and Tatsukichi Shichirobei have been signed deals with DAVE in the United States. TOP STAR LEAVING PGHW? Rumors have been running rampant that PGHW Eisaku Hoshino will be leaving the company soon, possibly as soon as this week. No information has surfaced on what the problem may be, but sources say Hoshino will be a free agent very soon.

The two go back and forth in a classic, old school style match for nearly twenty minutes before Jack Giedroyc nails his opponent with a Crashing On to score the pin! "I'm sure that all of you people know who I am," RDJ begins to a mixture of cheers from fans, and boos from the DAVE loyalists in the crowd. "Whether you like me, or hate me. . . doesn't really matter. I didn't come here to make friends, I came here for one reason: respect! Travis Century. . . your creepy little ass is going to learn some respect. . . tonight! You seem to do a lot of running off at the mouth. . . preaching about this and that like some sort of wrestling Jim Jones. Well I ain't drinking your Kool-Aid preacher man, and I sure as hell ain't bowing down to you and your gold belt." RDJ pauses and smirks out at the crowd, winning every single one of them over as he speaks. By the time his promo was over, everyone in the crowd either loved him or absolutely loved to hate him. Minnesota and his stablemates in The School of Tradition had been fueding with the mainstays of DAVE lately, and his near-career-ending assualt on Martin had occured during a huge brawl on Danger Zone TV. Martin shined in the opening minutes, though he showed some signs of ring rust and lingering pain, allowing Minnesota to cheaply take over for most of the match. Things went back-and-forth for nearly 5 minutes as we reached the final stretch of this brutal grudge match before Johnny Martin caught Minnesota with a Twist on the Rocks and score the pin at 18:53. Bryan Holmes is the defending champion against the recent nuisance of School of Tradition student Art Reed and 'The Lone Wolf' Shawn Gonzalez. Excellent psychology followed as the three set up a dramatic bout from the opening, each one allowed their own time to shine before Holmes nailed Shawn Gonzalez with a Canadian Kiss 9 minutes into the bout. Holmes and Reed proceeded to work a technical clinic, much to the appreciation of the crowd, until Reed grabbed Holmes in the Dread Lock for the submission win and the Showcase title. Once the match began, it was total back and forth in an all out wrestling classic. Acid managed to pull off the win, just barely surviving the interference of Art Reed and Joey Minnesota to land an Acid Rain Bomb for the win at the 25 minute mark. Caulfield makes his way out to the arena with "Punk Song #2" by silverchair blaring over the PA system. The two work a comfortable match, similar but cleverly different than their matches from the year before. At one point, Caulfield finds himself outside the ring lying on a table with Century sizing him up from the apron. Pulling himself up, Caulfield manages to stand to the side of the table. . . only to be met with a vicious clothesline by Nephilim that sends him straight down onto the table. It was text book from there as Century sent him crashing through the table with an elbowdrop from the apron. The closing moments saw Caulfield mount a small comeback before being tripped up by Nephilim on the outside, allowing Century to catch him with a Gammorah Driver to retain. Winner: Travis Century via tainted pinfall (Rating: B) Immediately following the pinfall, Ricky Dale Johnson rushes out from backstage. He takes out Nephilim with a vicious spear into the guardrail before entering the ring, his sights set squarely on the Extreme Preacher Travis Century. The two stare one another down for a moment before charging, the ring flooding with officials and wrestlers in seconds to hold the two back. DAVEWRESTLING.COM: OFFICIAL PREVIEW FOR DANGER ZONE TV, JANUARY WEEK 1 The iron is still hot after DAVE's shocking Back in Black PPV on New Year's Day. In his debut with the company Ricky Dale Johnson unseated the Extreme Preacher Travis Century as Unified Champion as the result of heated confrontation that lasted nearly the whole show! Surely the Extreme Preacher will have something to say (he always does) about Monday night's events this Friday in the Danger Zone! After putting his rival Hell's Bouncer to rest inside a steel cage at Back In Black, Nemesis looks set to recover his spot on the DAVE roster and begin his journey back to the Unified title. What better way than to make a statement about new Unified champion RDJ, saying, "That boy thinks he can just step into the lion's den and become leader of the pack; it doesn't work that way around these parts." The two had a heated confrontation in the backstage area around the DAVE Extreme Web Cafe, and those sitting in front of their computers like good little kiddies witnessed the challenge for this weeks main event: in his first defense of the DAVE Unified title, champion Ricky Dale Johnson takes on Nemesis! DAVE Tag Team Champions The Peak Brothers have taken note of The McWade Brothers' recent rededication to their trade. The hardcore twins from the great white north have been running roughshod over every team in their path, and get their first shot at the champions in a non-title match this Friday in the Danger Zone! The battle between the DAVE Extremists and the School of Tradition rages on as partners Jack Giedroyc & Johnny Martin taken on School of Tradition students Joey Minnesota & Jack Griffith and Eric Tyler squares off with Chris Caulfield. All of this, plus Phil Vibert & Hell's Bouncer will be in attendance. The Extreme CEO can't be happy about last night's happening inside the steel cage; what will this destructive duo unleash Friday night on The Pop! Network? Tune in, LIVE at 9PM! Preview Card UNIFIED TITLE: Ricky Dale Johnson versus Nemesis Eric Tyler versus Chris Caulfield The Peak Brothers versus The McWade Brothers Giedroyc & Martin versus Joey Minnesota & Jack Griffith

Before I continue, I'm going through the newsticker and all of that to make sure I have enough info for some good build-up. . . as I stated earlier, I'm a few months ahead of where the diary starts and I want to make sure I get dates and such right. As I'm doing that, I'd love some feedback to see what the people reading this would like to see and suggestions of any kind. Perhaps I should just recap the few months in between so I can catch-up to where I am? Anyway, feedback and comments, and constructive critcism, greatly appreciated (you can reply, PM, or what have you).

I would keep yourself a little behind your actual game, so just continue the diary as you are. The reason is that if you get bored with playing the game for a couple of weeks, then you can still continue updating the diary and not lose people's interest. Nice start by the way.

Taking into account a few suggestion from various people, I've decided that I definitely need to fast-forward a little bit to make sure that I don't lose interest in trying to include all the specifics (but, as I said before, if you want to know about any specific characters in the world, just ask). I'm still going to keep myself playing a month or so ahead of where the diary is, but as it stands I'm nearly to June and have just posted Back In Black. So, over the next few posts, I'll get caught up to a more comfortable place and then the real diary will start. I hope to paint a good picture of my characters, and hopefully give others some ideas as to how I see them.
Nooooo, you can't have those talentless bums beating Scout and Guide - unless of course you are about to split New Wave up and get them going solo :p
Actually, they both learned a lot from Sean McFly after they became main eventers in NOTBPW. They can usually pull off one helluva brawl, and work pretty decent short matches with most of the other teams on the roster. Preview for February PPV, DAVE Culture Shock coming soon.

DAVEWRESTLING.COM OFFICIAL PREVIEW FOR CULTURE SHOCK 2007 (posted Saturday, Week 4, January 2007) Well kiddies, another month has passed, and again its time to shell out $30 to have your mind blown by Danger and Violence Extreme on PPV! This February we are proud to present Culture Shock, headlined by a massive Four Corners Match. We spent the entire month of January trying to determine a #1 Contender to Ricky Dale Johnson's Unified Championship. But after a series of matches, the results were still too close to tell: Nemesis, Hell's Bouncer, and Acid all made strong showings on Danger Zone TV in January. The three were pitted against one another in a round robin series of matches that came out a draw. Now, all four will step into the ring for a chance at dethroning RDJ and taking home the gold. After two strong showings against the champions earlier this month, The McWade Brothers earned themselves a Tag Team Title match at Culture Shock. The two hardcore hilljacks will be taking on fellow disturbed twins The Peak Brothers in a Table Match. No referee to lose control and stop the violence this time around! All throughout January Eric Tyler and his 'students' have been insulting and mocking Chris Caulfield and some of the other hardcore maniacs on the DAVE roster. The two will meet in the ring at Clover Fields in the first big battle of this oncoming war. Joey Minnesota will also face Henry Lee as a result of the School of Tradition's crusade. After the recent chaos in the Showcase title scene, the title has been held up with a champion to be decided on PPV! Art Reed and Jack Griffith have both laid claim to the belt, causing some unrest among The School of Tradition while Bryan Holmes and Griffith's rival Jack Giedroyc lie in wait to claim the prize. There will be a Four Corners Elimination match to decide the champion! Travis Century will also be in attendance, and rumor is that he is not happy about not being booked for the show. We also expect to see a #1 Contender's Match for the Tag Team titles, as well as a few matches from the talent in our Showcase division. So put the bong down and pick up your phone, or keep your lazy ass right in front of the computer and order online. We promise you won't regret it. I'll add the graphics later to keep in style with the rest of the dynasty. Predictions welcome!)

Art Reed had officially won the title, but fellow School of Tradition student Jack Griffith was awarded the belt after stable leader Eric Tyler became dissatisfied with Reed. DAVE officials refused to acknowledge this change, however, leading to several memorable segments between the two fueding students. The final came down to Griffith and Jack Giedroyc, with Giedroyc taking the win. Winner and NEW Showcase Champion: Jack Geidroyc (Rating: B+) After the match, Art Reed and Jack Griffith show some unity for the first time all month by laying out new champion Jack Giedroyc! Backstage, Travis Century stood in the interview area with Nephilim at his side. Century proceeded to preach about the travesty of not being booked to appear when last month he was Unified Champion! Eddie & Doug Peak are off to the side, and start to giggle as he speaks. This leads to an arguement, Doug subduing Nephilim backstage as Eddie & Century brawl out into the arena. -v- IMPROMPTU BRAWL Eddie Peak versus Travis Century These two have amazing chemistry, and told a fantastic story all over the arena. The ending came when Doug Peak and Nephilim brawled into the arena as well, Doug sending Nephilim through a table with a Straightjacket Powerbomb. He then aided Eddie in setting up for a Peak of Perfection and the win! Winner and STILL Unified Champion: Ricky Dale Johnson (Rating: B+) OVERALL RATING: B FINAL BUYRATE: 232,495 (I'm going to start the actual diary, writing recaps for every show and developing the character personalities starting with the April 2007 PPV, Outlaw Broadcast. That means two more months of recap, and then regular format. All feedback headed into actual diary is much appreciated.)

RECAP FOR FEBRUARY AND MARCH (OOC: I've decided against actually doing the recaps the way I was, because I'm really eager to get to where I can write a decent show because I have the angles and everything. So below is a written recap of what has been happening with DAVE, and a little bit about the rest of the world.) After Culture Shock, the direction of the company faltered a little. The tough decision was made to stop airing Danger Zone TV on The Pop! Network in favor of focusing on the new ACE broadcast show, Revolution TV. The company was also going through a long hiring process, locking the talent into written deals and hiring additional workers to bolster the roster after rising all the way to International status. After leveling off financially, the company plans to try renegotiating a deal with Pop! to bring Danger Zone TV back, moving the company up to 4 hours of programming a week. Word is that Revolution TV will air live, with Danger Zone TV being taped the same day for broadcast in its old timeslot on Friday nights. The only clear cut program throughout the month was Rick Law, joining the roster from TCW, debuting just after Culture Shock and brawling to a time-limit draw with Eddie Peak. The two continued to fued leading up to Outlaw Broadcast and will step into the ring one-on-one for the first time since Law's debut two months ago! Using some of the extra space on their roster, DAVE bulked up the tag team ranks a little in hopes of revitalizing the stagnant division. Heading into April, the division consists of the following: current DAVE Tag Team Champions The McWade Brothers (Dean & Dallas McWade), The Peak Brothers (Eddie & Doug Peak), The New Jersey Devils (Alex Braun & Tank Bradley), School of Tradition team The New Wave (Guide & Scout), low-level team NYHXC (Leroy & Spike) (name short for The New York Hardcore Club, and new-comers The Insane Connection (James Brandon & Jim Force), managed by the lovely Kittie Cameron (aka Katie Cameron). Upper Midcard stars Jack Giedroyc & Johnny Martin also team regularly, and promos have just begun to air for the return of Adrenaline Rush (Sammy Bach & Teddy Powell). The fued between Jack Giedroyc & Jack Griffith has been raging since the beginning of January, and the two will step into the ring once again at Outlaw Broadcast with Griffith's Showcase title hanging in the balance - literally hanging in the balance in a Ladder Match! Travis Century has been leading his team of demons, The Infernal (Nephilim & Noah) (aka Danny Patterson and Primal Rage, respectively), on a violent rampage since having to take a backseat in the Unified title picture. Nemesis spent the month of March building towards a title match with Ricky Dale Johnson at Outlaw Broadcast. SWF have just recently fallen back to International size. The standings in the USA are: SWF (International, A Prestige), TCW (National, B Prestige), and DAVE (International, A* Prestige). SWF and DAVE are both at war with TCW, although SWF and DAVE have no formal relationship. In Japan, Eisaku Hoshino remains unemployed. In Europe, a hardcore promotion called Eastern European World Wrestling just recently opened and has assembled a respectable roster. Their plan is to run shows every Wednesday labelled Break and Enter.
