PWA: Ending with everything

Recommended Posts

Poor ol Anderson. Just cant seem to cut a break After the stables ended Jamie Anderson hasn't really been doing much, I only threw him in that main event because i thought he might work well with Reed. But the guy has been faded out a fair bit

Remianen's hatred for Mr Popularity does amuse me. You did such a good job building him up as a figure for people to dislike. Truth is Anderson is actually not that bad of a worker when compared to a lot of the other UK guys. At least he has some kind of skill level - he's just not main event calibre.
I still havn't decided if Adam B is gonna be a face or heel. He started off all heelish with his run against Nate Manchester then was all face like when he went up against Adam Matravers. Just need to find out how to play him
Ouch, at least he's getting over with the fans though. Overall its continuing to be a great dynasty. I'm looking forward to see what you do next.

Yes, I despise Jamie Anderson and wish he'd retire or get seriously injured (Lost Smile, perhaps). But, I have to admit, I'm startin' to get tired of Adam Matravers too (and I LIKE him! I made his daughter the second coming of Manami Toyota ffs!). But, as Marcel Fromage alluded to, there's not much of a talent pool to draw from in the UK, especially in 07 (where 21CW has like everyone locked down and those who can work in other areas, typically ARE working in other areas). I honestly don't know who's taking the title off Matravers. He's the closest thing to money that PWA has and though Stevie Stoat seems possible, he hates Adam B (and I think the feeling's mutual) so that might not be in the cards. Besides, Clarity's one of those hippie bookers. You're supposed to put the title on a FACE to maximize merchandise sales. Jeez, hasn't Vince taught you ANYTHING? :p

When the contracts of those guys are up for renewal, they resign them on regular PPAs, which means you can use them again anyway. Plus I was rather pleased to see both Matravers and Joss Thompson leave 21CW in my game (I'm playing as ROF) to join GCG on tour and CGC on a PPA respectively. Guess the 21CW exclusive deals didn't work too well there!

Who will beat Matravers? Not sure, as there aren't really a huge number of viable face main eventers at the moment by the looks of things. Maybe now that Turtle is back with the company he could push on and challenge Matravers - he's a pretty reliable hand and they are both cruisers so might mesh well together. And I'm sure there's a storyline in there somehow about a returning former champ looking for past glories and the PWA diehards right behind him. Given where he is on the card currently I don't expect this one, but I'm surprised you have Rolling Johnny Stones buried down the card where you do. He's always been a reliable main eventer for me in the past. Well, maybe not reliable, as he's always late for shows. But he's decent on the stick and quite talented in the ring, and can play a leading face role. Wouldn't surprise me if the next champ you have is Mr Samurai...despite your past differences. He's the one on Matravers' case, and so although he's throwing lots of challengers to him right now, perhaps they're all just softening him up so Samurai can take the title in the end. I think the problem in the UK is that when Giedroyc or Cliff Wilson aren't available, there aren't any other wrestlers available that match up to Matravers in terms of overall skills. So once he's champion it's sometimes hard to justify giving it to someone else who isn't up to his standard. But I agree with Remianen - it's important to try and build someone to that level so he doesn't get stale at the top.
