Episode 38 "All's fair" Filmed at Parliment Square Monday 8th March Attendance: 1,000 IVR: 0.2 Preshow Ratings: C- & C (Kickass)
Match 1: .... Ancalagon Vs Barry Griffin Not the best match to start the show with but not the worst i have seen. Ancalagon worked over Barry Griffin to get the pinfall in 7:44. Winner: Ancalagon Rating: E+
.... After a quick commercial break, we cut back to cameraman hurriedly heading to the backstage parking lot, where a brutal attack by Kelly Martin on Tim Reed is caught on film. Rating: F+
Match 2: .... DJ Reason Vs Glen Ward About average match by Ward in what could well be his final match with us. I mainly kept him on because he was an original PWA worker, but i dont think he can pull off the matches needed these days. DJ Reason hits the Edge Of Reason for the win. Winner: DJ Reason Rating: D The match is over, and DJ Reason is celebrating. From backstage Merle O'Curle runs out and plows Reason down. He spits on Reasons prone form and gets out the ring. Rating: E+
Match 3: .... Ali Bloxsome Vs Rolling Johnny Stones Johnny Stones has been impressing me lately with some C grade matches to his name. Bloxsome on the other hand.. Has been preshowing for a while and cant get higher than a D+ and is 2 matches away from a cut. Stones collected the pinfall in 9:51 Winner: Rolling Johnny Stones Rating: D+
Another commercial break comes to a close and yet again we have a worker in the ring. This time its Joey Beauchamp. Beauchamp: "I know im supposed to come out here and say something mean about my opponent but seriously. Who knows Menace anyway. Didn't he win New Blood years ago and just vanish afterwards. I mean the guys a nobody who got lucky. But at the next PPV, im taking away his belt and he can go back to jobbing" Rating: D+ "Nobody huh" Menace appears at the ramp and heads ringside. Rating: E+ Beauchamp: "Yeah. Face it Menace, your a nobody. The only reason that most people know you is due to your liking of oiling up people in the locker rooms, if you know what i mean" Menace: "Are you trying to bait me by mocking my sexual preference. Im open about my preference. You think you can beat me. Good. Bring it.." Beauchamp: "Dont you worry. I will" Ratings: D-
Match 4: .... Nina Vs Phoebe Plumridge A muck up on my part. I wanted the losers of last weeks triple threat to face off to establish a pecking order. But i picked Nina instead of Laura McKenna. So erm... now its the number 1 contenders warm up match. Honest :) And to be honest. Even with Plumridges poor skills the match was not bad. However Plumridge just cant keep up with Nina and was pinned in 5:57. Gotta give the girl props for trying though. Winner: Nina Rating: D
Mr Evilness music plays and the ladies quickly escape the ring. He slowly walks down to the ring adding to the suspense (and nothing to do with the fact that it was a tv show and we had to fill time) Mr Evilness: "I have been here now for many months and nobody has been strong enough to stand before me. Now i lay down the gauntlet to this companies biggest star. Rod Todd, you are the champion. The time has come that we find out if you have what it takes to stand before me or be crushed under my boot." The show ends with Mr Evilness trying to look moody Rating: D+ Final Show Rating: D (Hurt Popularity)

A video airs showing some of last weeks action. It highlights the fact that Mr Evilness challenged Rod Todd to a match for the PWA Championship Rating: D-

Not a bad opening match which Martin wins by submission in 8:16 Winner: Kelly Martin Rating: D-
Bikini Contest Sometimes its good to be the boss. Adam B officiates this bikini contest and his eyes are pratically out on storks as the girls parade around in the skimpiest of outfits to gain the audiences votes. Once all the girls have had a turn, Adam B asked for the audience to cheer for the one they liked most. And Laura McKenna is the clear winner much to the displeasure of the other two Rating: C- Nina & Stephanie Hazel look at Laura McKenna with a look of pure hatred. They smile at each other as Nina reaches under the ring to pull out a bucket of ice cold water. She then turns around and throws it straight at Stephanie Hazel soaking her. Nina laugh and slips out the ring leaving Hazel shivering. Rating: D+
Match 2: .... Joey Beauchamp Vs Rolling Johnny Stones Both men appear to be on the rise in PWA. And they seemed to work quite well together. It ended when Beauchamp his the Breezeblock at 9:18. Winner: Joey Beauchamp Rating: C Rolling Johnny Stones stumbles out the ring and waves to a few fans. From the ramp, Merle O'Curle runs down but Stones had it scouted. He dodges O'Curle and whips him into the audience before walking out backstage. Rating: E+
Match 3: .... DJ Reason Vs Rod Todd Not a bad match to end things on for an evening. A simple match that Todd won with his Todd Drop in 12:36 Winner: Rod Todd Rating: D+ DJ Reason lifts the hand of the champion showing there is no bad blood between them.. Rating: C- ..When suddenly Mr Evilness' music plays again. Evilness: "I await your answer. Are you there brave champion, or another bug to squash" Rating: E+ Todd: "Ha ha ha. You know what. I will play your little game. At Lay Down The Gauntlet, we shall have ourselves a little Ironman Match for the PWA Championship. And it shall be Mr Evilness Vs Rod 'The Good' Todd. You see what i did there." And with that he carries on celebrating with DJ Reason as the show closes Rating: C Final Show Rating: D+

Thankfully, the managed to pull off quite a good match. Barry Griffin surprised all with the win at 6:31 Winner: Barry Griffin Rating: C-
Rolling Johnny Stones appears at the ramp at the end of the match. Stones: "Your little sneak attack last week failed quite badly Merle, however Adam B has told me that you will be my opponent at the PPV. So how about you pull your finger out your arse and try not to stumble and trip over something on sunday" Rating: E-
Match 2: .... Ancalagon Vs Cannonball Logan I think maybe i have gone too light on stories this month if i needed a filler match. And thats pretty much all this was. It was won by Ancalagon via submission at 4:55 Winner: Ancalagon Rating: E+
Its Kelly Martin's turn with a mike: Martin: "You know. Merle tried his best to get into Stones head but got nothing but trouble for his efforts. This sunday they finally step into the ring and end this. I think Evilness can possibly go down as the biggest flop in PWA history. I'm guessing Rod Todd only being able to get a D+ out of him at best in the main event at Lay Down The Gauntlet, was the final straw and that you should just cut your losses on him now. Also not telling you how to run your promotion, but my advice would be to get your main event title back to being a normal title and not an Iron Man championship...I'm afraid the UK scene just does not have the workers to carry off Iron Man Matches on a regular basis. The Hard-Ass title is perfectly fine as a mid-card title and it's different enough from the main title as it is based on hardcore matches. Would be nice to see some tag belts back in PWA, I know you had the Tag Team Cage Titles, but again they were another set of gimmicky belts that failed to amount to anything, once the novelty wore off.

Your spot on about Mr Evilness He was brought in mainly due to the name and a story idea that i had. But just never managed to put up a decent match. I even thought about bringing back the Evil Henchmen but i remembered how bad they were last time. I could have pulled the plug on it early but i had my others tied up with storylines. I have learnt a lesson there. Not sure how i can just change the title back to a normal belt without making it seem cheap. But im considering it.

Been pondering this for the last few days but i think im gonna end this diary Reasons are this: 1) I think when i converted most of my data over from TEW05, i didn't do a good enough job. I should have checked contracts for length and costs and i didn't. And people who used to have great chemistry together now have none. While the chemistry i cant help, i still keep trying to put people together who used to have great chemistry and get bum matches 2) The 1.3 patch practically crippled PWA 3) The contract reason has me losing money badly and i dont think PWA is going to last much longer anyway. 4) I took the game from 2006 to 2011. From having 15 people turn up to getting almost 2,000 at a PPV, a TV deal and PPV carrier 5) I have kinda hit a rut and tried ideas that just massively flopped (see Ironman Championship, Tag Team Championships, Mr Evilness etc) So im thinking of a fresh start. Its not going to be BSC either because i just cant get my head around booking them right. So thanks for all that read this. I'l be back soon (and i might try a premade company this time)

Good, at least now you're running a promotion in an area with some talent. I honestly think the UK and Europe are cesspools in comparison to the US, Japan, and Canada. That's not to say that all UK/Europe workers suck (they don't). Just that the talent pools in those areas are woefully shallow. Mexico would be a close second but they have a lot of US/Canada/Japan talent who can work there, far moreso than UK/Europe. DAVE is a great fed to start with. If you can get them back to National fairly quickly, the problems they've had pretty much disappear.

Well done for this one. I think that this has been an overlooked diary, as it was set in the UK, but you did a great job of pulling out the storylines. I think that working in the US should keep things interesting, as you have a a much wider range of talent to use. Congrats.
