Real World July 2007 || Wrestling in Dissaray ||

Recommended Posts

January 2006 Wrestling was thrown into dissaray when Dixie Carter announced she had sold Total Nonstop Action Wrestling to a well known person within the Wrestling World. Obviously assumptions went straight with the McMahon's, and despite all rejections from the WWE headquarters, nobody honestly believed that the person to buy TNA would be one Mr. Ted Turner! The former WCW Head Honcho, who had been banned from broadcasting wrestling upto April 2006 due to the contract signed between Turner and McMahon with the sale of WCW, had apparently been in negotiations with several companies, and with TNA's finances falling every month, Turner saw that as an easy option. Scott Steiner was a big release from TNA, Mrs Carter removed him from his contract after Steiner started to miss dates and arrive late at those he did arrive at. With Andy Douglas having left the company for SmackDown! in December, Chase Stevens opted to get himself out of his TNA Contract and follow his former partner to SmackDown! ultimately it may not have been the best idea, as both were sent to development together. There wasn't many changes within the wrestling world besides the sale of TNA, WWE released a couple of workers, none high profile however. Derrick Neikirk was released from his development contract, several people expected this due to Neikirks constant failures with WWE's Wellness Program, and was subsequently released. Court Bauer was released, Court hadn't been working like expected backstage, and so was released also. And the final release of January was Tim Arson, after a breif run in ECW as The Zombie, and then a very small run as the Most Dangerous Man on SmackDown! in December early January, Arson was released as his wrestling skills were not improving, sources internally however believe Arson's release had something to do with his comments about the new ECW. The Intercontinental title moved off Jeff Hardy this month, Randy Orton taking the title away from Hardy on an episode of Raw, also the Royal Rumble was upon us once again, and with 10 members from each brand being included in this years Rumble, all hell was expected to break loose! The final three left in where CM Punk, Ken Doane, and The Undertaker, one man from each show, Doane was the first to go, leaving Punk and Taker left in the ring, after locking in the Anaconda vice on Taker, and having managed to drag him to the ropes, Punk was well on course to winning his debut Royal Rumble, however, Taker manged to grap him by the throat and Chokeslam him out of the ring, Taker was going on to face, at least as it stood, Batista at WrestleMania 23!

February February was a month of changes, WWE brought back the Drafts, this year being across all 3 brands! There were a few suprise movers, and a few that were expected. Moving from Raw to Smackdown! were: Jeff Hardy, this was expected as there was constant teasing that The Hardyz would once again be a regular tag team. Kenny, now known as Ken Doane, this was the suprise mover as he was on the up on Raw, and deeply involved in a fued with Shawn Michaels, however since the split of Spirit Squad, that fued was the only thing he'd been given by creative. Maria, this was an after Draft trade, Maria went to SmackDown! whilst Jillian headed to Raw. Moving from Raw to ECW: Mikey, now Mike Mondo, and Nicky, now Nick Nemeth, both moved across to ECW together as they were a tag team together now, why they were moved to a tag teamless ECW was unknown at the time. Shelton Benjamin, the former Intercontinental champion was put back as a tage team with Charlie Haas for two months before this move, many expected Haas tro move aswell, but, looks as though Shelton will be out on his own in the world of Extreme. Moving from SmackDown! to Raw: Jillian Hall moved across as part of the after draft trade, and that was the only trade that occured between these two brands. Moving from SmackDown! to ECW: Idols Stevens and Kasey James, yet another tag team moving to the land of ECW, this was a suprise move as both were expected to be sent down to development because creative had nothing for them. Moving from ECW to Raw: CM Punk, now, you could say you were supriced by this, however, no one was, Punk was on the up, had a breif run with the ECW title, and was immensly talented, so Raw got him, and immediately put him as part of DX with Shawn Michaels and Triple H, obviously, WWE is keeping in line with his Straight Edge gimmick. Jazz, the former Womens champion had nothing to do down in ECW and only appeared 5 times on ECW Television! Moved to Raw to boost their failing Womens Division, and actually add Wrestling to it! Moving from ECW to SmackDown!: None A weird trade, was never the traditional 5 picks each etc, this was done on matches at No Way Out, the more your brand won, the more trades your brand got, as you can see, Smackdown won two, ECW won five, and Raw won two also, suprising results at this years No Way Out! Taker and Batista were deeply involved in a fued over the title, Batista, now heel, was constantly attacking Taker, and trying to get into his mind to prevent him taking his title at Mania. TNA were busy, with the departure of Dixie Carter and the arrival of Ted Turner finalised, Turner got on with bringing in old friends from WCW into the company. Lex Luger arrived on a full time contract, rather than his Per Appearance one he had throughout 2006. Randy Savage returned to TNA, many expect him to go into Announcing rather than being an active competitor. Former WWE SmackDown! superstars Brent Albright, Kid Kash, Juventud Guerrera and Psychosis all joined to help boost the X Division. Another big move for TNA was with the formation of the Turner TV channel. Ted Turner opted to form this so TNA could have a "proper" home according to Turner. TNA iMPACT! moved to 2 hours and on a Monday to re-ignite the Monday Night Wars, and TNA Xplosion was moved to a Friday to try and beat off SmackDown! Title Changes ROH's Pure Wrestling championship moved off Bryan Danielson and back to Nigel McGuinnes. TNA's NWA World Heavyweight title changed hands, Abyss dropped the belt to Samoa Joe in a hellacious Six Sides of Steel match. WWE's Heavyweight title changed hands also, John Cena was defeated by Shawn Michaels at No Way Out, their United States championship also moved hands, Benoit finally losing the title to Ken Doane after Doane used a chair shot and leverage from the ropes for the victory, and his first singles title within WWE. Down in WWE development camps, OVW's Heavyweight title moved to Simon Dean, the title had been vacant after a storyline dispute. DSW's Tag titles went to The Shane Twins (Formerly Gymini's Jake and Jesse).

March March was all go for each of the big companies, WWE released and signed talent, TNA signed talent, ROH signed talent, lost talent aswell, and the Development camps were busy too! Starting with WWE, Raw managed to get their hands on TNA's Tracy Brooks, it was no secret that Tracy wanted to one day work for WWE, and after the New President of Talent Relations Mick Foley went out to watch Miss Brooks at a recent UPW event, he managed to get her a contract. Gene Snitsky and Jim Duggan were released from their contracts on Raw, Duggan was released becuase his storyline with Eugene was well and truly over, and he wasn't needed any more, Snitsky was released because, well, Creative had nothing for him. John Laurinaitis was also released from his contract due to spreading lies backstage about several of WWE's top stars, Vince had grown tired of all the squabbling going on backstage, and opted to release the Source. Charlie Haas was dropped to DSW in the hope he could get more over with the fans. Moving onto SmackDown! Mike Mizanan and Marty Wright (The Boogeyman) were released from their SmackDown! contracts. The Boogeyman still hadn't improved his wrestling skills despite being under personal tutorledge from Booker T, and was released immediately after almost breaking Scotty 2 Hotty's neck form a botched Double Handed Chokeslam. The Miz was released because he just wasn't getting over with the fans, and could not play off his character well. Monty Brown made his WWE debut as part of the SmackDown! brand, immediately targeting Kane, hitting the Pounce during Kanes World Title matchup with Batista. Jimmy Snuka Jr. was finally promoted from OVW, he debuted on a recent SmackDown! show as Duece Shade, and immediately targeted Cruserweight champion Gregory Helms. Maybe the most shocking release of the month came from the ECW Brand, Sabu, a prominant figure within the brand, the Current ECW World Champion, was released after several sloppy displays in the ring, and also a terrible attitude backstage, he was said to be "infectious" with his down beat attitude, and not even good friends like RVD were wanting to be around him. Sabu was released days after dropping the title to Bobby Lashley. ECW managed to bag themselves another referee, Mike Posey, who had spent time in both ECW's was brought back in full time to cover for the injured Mickie Henson. Idol and Kasey were dropped down to DSW, after less than a month of being on ECW television, they were deemed unusable by David Lagana, and they were immediately sent to DSW to improve their match skills. Going away from WWE, TNA were once again busy, stealing ROH World Champion Bryan Danielson away from the company on a written contract, something nearly all TNA workers were on now. The Steiner Brothers returned to TNA also, Rick had appeared sparingly throughout 2006, and Scott had been released only two months before by Dixie Carter, however Ted Turner managed to pursuade him to return, and the reunited Steiner Brothers immediately took the NWA Tag Titles from LAX. Dixie Carter announced that she had taken over a Womens Company called Womens World Entertainment, a company known only to Internet fans simply as WoWo Ent. She immediately announced the signings of Jacquiline, Lisa Moretti (Ivory) and Nora Greenwald (Molly) to be trainers for the company. There was only one title change this month, the returning Steiner Brothers defeated LAX for the NWA Tag titles.

April Wrestlemania Month was once again upon us, and WWE again put on a lacklustre card. The Main Event was Title vs WM Streak between Batista and The Undertaker, and although it seems like a fantastic main event, WWE spoilt the ending by announcing The Undertaker's intent to retire after the match. The WrestleMania 23 Card was as follows (Winners in Bold): ECW Matches: ECW Tag: Test + Mike Knox © vs Nemeth + Mondo Sylvester Terkay w/Elijah Burke vs Balls Mahoney ECW World Heavyweight: Lashley © vs Bob Holly SmackDown! Matches: WWE Cruiserweight: Gregory Helms © vs Duece Shade Monty Brown vs Kane WHC vs WM Streak: Batista © vs The Undertaker Raw Matches: WWE Womens: Mickie James © vs Tracy Triple H vs Randy Orton WWE Heavyweight: Shawn Michaels © vs John Cena Inter-promotional Matches: Big Show vs Hulk Hogan MITB: The Sandman vs Carlito vs Ken Doane vs Shelton Benjamin vs CM Punk vs Rey Mysterio Overall, not too bad, however, matches from ECW failed to live upto expectations, the DX-Rated RKO fued ended because Edge turned on Orton, why is beyond us, but it cost Orton the win, the WHC match was spoilt, it was a good match, but the crowd weren't into it because everyone knew Batista would walk away the victor, Big Show vs Hogan was an awful match, Hogan couldn't lift Show ala Andre The Giant and ultimately the whole momentum of the match changed after that. One suprise exclusion from the WrestleMania card was the newly turned Heel Nick Dinsmore (formerly Eugene). Dinsmore cut a promo stating how much he dispised Raw writers, and that the Eugene character was taken too far, and that Dinsmore wanted to be taken seriously from now on, and not be known as a gimmick. Well, onto the rest of the month. WWE enjoyed success in acquiring new talent, stealing two of TNA's promising youngsters from them. Chris Sabin and Jay Lethal both joined WWE and were sent to Deep South for development. Also reporting to Deep South this month was Cade Sydal, brought in initially on a weeks trial, he impressed some of the Main Roster wrestlers that visited, and was offered a contract with WWE. And the final reportee to DSW was new referee Brad Smith, a somewhat experienced referee who has suprisingly done very well within DSW during "one off" appearances. Braddock, formerly Roadkill in ECW, was sent back down to OVW because his gimmick wasn't getting him over with the fans, several expect this could be the last we see of either Braddock, or Roadkill. Speaking of last we see, WWE released several wrestlers this month. Raw saw the departure of Super Crazy and Rob Conway, Crazy was released after he had asked for it, many backstage beleive Crazy left on good terms, and could be back sooner rather than later should the right storyline turn up. Conway was released because of several factors, his gimmick wasn't working, his in ring ability was failing to impress, his lack of connection with the fans and creative having nothing for him. SmackDown! saw the long awaited departure of Mark Henry, the "Worlds Strongest Man" had not performed well during his most recent return matches in OVW and was deemed unneeded on an ever growing SmackDown! Show. SmackDown! also said good bye to former Diva Search contestant Kristal Marshall, several backstage were not happy with her attitude towards veterans and the decision was made to release her from the company. ECW finally saw off Big Show, the 7ft giant had been working on a handshake agreement with the company until WrestleMania, where his match with Hulk Hogan would be his last of his WWE career, the door is always open for a return, however many expect him to go to TNA for their relaxed schedule. Tazz left ECW this month, he had been working a month without a contract, and had expressed an interest in returning to the ring, something WWE did not want to see, along with a potential rise, Tazz was allowed to leave the company. In other WWE news, The Undertaker is now a Road Agent for the SmackDown! brand, after his retirement, he was expected to take a leave of absense from Sports Entertainment, however he was talked into staying with WWE and continuing on as a Road Agent/Mentor for younger talent. TNA tried to make up for the loss of X Division Champion Chris Sabin and Jay Lethal by bringing in former WWE talent. First in was Sabu, the former TNA worker returned to the company in fashionable style, winning the TNA X Division title in his first match. TNA also brought back Dave and Earl Hebnar, this time full time, Earl as Head Official, and Dave as a Road Agent/Backstage Worker. Finally, TNA head honcho Ted Turner announced that TNA would soon be under going a brand split, and that a Womens division and Title would be started up, many believe this is to try and prevent any other Womens workers leaving for the competition as Tracy Brooks did. Ring of Honour were bitterly dissapointed with TNA's decision to steal their ROH champion Bryan Danielson last month, and have sent out feelers to several "top talent" in the hope they can find themselves a new Main Attraction. This months title changes were as follows: ECW's Tag titles switched hands at WrestleMania, former Spirit Squad members Nick Nemeth and Mike Mondo defeated Test and Knox for the titles. WWE once again changed the Intercontinental champion, Ric Flair defeated Randy Orton (who was departing on a months suspension) for the title on Raw. TNA had an interesting Lockdown PPV, every title changed hands during the event. NWA Heavyweight champion Samoa Joe was defeated by Kurt Angle in a fantastic match up, NWA Tag champs The Steiner Brothers were beaten by Team 3D to begin their first reign as NWA Tag champs, the vacant TNA X Division title went to Sabu who made his return to TNA, and finally, the newly created TNA X Division Tag titles were won by LAX members Juventud Guerrera and Psychosis.

May May started where April left off, more changes within the major companies, several which show just how close this rivalry is to becoming a full scale war. Eric Bischoff exercised a clause in his contract to leave WWE after receiving offers from several other companies to become their head booker, a decision from Bischoff was expected in June. Jimmy Wang Yang left WWE after being told the Redneck gimmick was being dropped and creative would have nothing else for him, obviously angry, Yang immediately responded to ROH's "feelers" and signed a non-exclusive contract with them. With the releases out of the way, we can move onto the incoming workers. Chuck Palumbo finally made his televised return to WWE by helping Vito from a 2 on 1 attack from The Hooliganz Paul London and Brian Kendrick, the following week Vito (now without dress) came to the ring and announced the reformation of the FBI, and that Palumbo was the first honourary member of the group. The FBI challenged The Hooliganz to a non title match for Judgement Day, and should they win, they'd go on to the next PPV for a title shot, and that they did! Yoshihiro Asai, or more commonly known as Ultimo Dragon, returned to the WWE this month minus his Mask, something that was rumoured to happen during early 2006. Asai came back as a bad guy, however was immediately thrown into a fued with heel cruserweight champion Gregory Helms. WWE brought in a few more Developmental workers, The Altar Boys Luke and Matthew signed onto an OVW development deal, something that managed to get Matthew out of retirement. Following them into OVW was Melissa Anderson, known professioanlly as Cheerleader Melissa, obviously this is to try and up the stakes within the newly regenerated Womens Division. Nick Mitchell was finally dropped from Raw, the new Jimmy Hart as he'd been dubbed was not seen to be fulfilling his potential, and was sent down to OVW to try and get himself over with a new gimmick. Ray Ramsey was moved across from OVW to DSW to be their Head Official. In TNA news, the brand extension was finally made official, with TNA iMPACT! being one brand, and Xplosion being the other, iMPACT! will be the heavyweights and womens brand, going head to head directly with Raw, wheras the Xplosion brand will be the X Division brand going head to head with SmackDown! and their cruserweights. To help boost the ratings of the Hard Justice PPV, Ted Turner looked to announce a shock arrival of a new worker into TNA, it was revealed as someone that had been away from wrestling for a while, and would be involved in the TNA Womens title matchup, several names were thrown about, Molly Holly, Ivory, Sable, Lita and even Trish Stratus, however, each individually denied any negotiations had taken place, and all revealed they had other things going on in their professional lives. However, all was revealed during the match when an unfamiliar song came on and down came "Luchagor" formerly known as Lita, and obviously, she dominated the other women contestants of the match. Like previously noted, Ring Of Honor snapped up newly released Jimmy Yang, Yang for some reason was not given the 90 days no-compete clause, but a 30 day non-compete clause. Several people both within, and outside of ROH believe Yang will be given the ROH Heavyweight title. Taz (now with only one 'Z') also joined ROH, having gone on a crash course to get himself back in shape, the Suplexing Machine announced his return to the ring with Ring Of Honour, and was looking to make the most of this return! ROH were also pleased to announce that The Wrestling Channel would be airing a Weekly ROH show every Friday. Title changes for this month were few and far between, TNA's Womens title was finally given a holder, Luchagor winning the title on her debut. TNA Xplosion's brand crowned a top tier champion, AJ Styles defeating Christopher Daniels, however, in a matter of days after the win, the match outcome was deemed null-in-void due to Style's using the Styles Clash for the finish, despite being told he could not use it, this of course brought shouts of "Bull ****" from the crowd, and the title was left Vacant. Mike Knox took the ECW Television title away from The Sandman, despite never actually entering the ring for an official match, Knox won the newly recreated title after ECW finally moved into their 2 hour slot. Nick Dinsmore beat Ric Flair for the WWE Intercontinental championship in a brutal matchup at Backlash. To show how much attention WWE pays towards their Tag Team Division, current Tag Champs Cade and Murdoch finally lost their titles to Cryme Tyme (On Heat might i add) and only defended the titles a total of 7 times since December 2006! Finally, Gregory Helms finally lost the WWE Cruserweight championship, losing to Yoshihiro Asai.

June June started with a bang that somewhat fizzled towards the end of the month. Paul Wight, aka Big Show, debuted in TNA, acting as one of Jeff Jarrets henchman, and despite Wights best attempts however, he just couldn't dethrone Kurt Angle as NWA World Heavyweight champion. Staying with TNA, the TNA Multicontinental championship was still not decided during the month, so an outcome was expected sometime during July. WWE released Rodney Mack from his Mentor duties, Mack, whos wife, Jazz, was moved to the Raw, was deemed unneeded, and with Jazz now being on Raw and Mack still being with ECW, Mr McMahon opted to release Mack and look elswhere for any future mentors. The Rock announced his return to WWE on his offiicial website that he wanted to feel the reation the crowd gives him at WWE events each and every week, and starting July, he would be returning as a semi-active wrestler, doing filming around his wrestling commitments. Jason and Johnny Riggs finally made there WWE debut after spending all of May and most of June on the SmackDown! brand house shows, The Riggs Brothers immediately targeting The FBI, and could well be set to push for the WWE Tag titles. Eric Bischoff finally made a decision in regards to which company he would be booking for, and he opted to join Dixie Carter's Womens World Entertainment, citing working with so many women as a new challenge that he'd be happy to look forward to in this new chapter in his career. 4 titles changed hands this month. After FBI's non title win over the Hooliganz at Judgement Day, they were granted their title match at the June PPV, and they managed to walk away the victors and new WWE Tag Team Champions, sticking with SmackDown, Batista lost his World Heavyweight Championship to Kane, who had been look to avenge his brothers WrestleMania loss for the past two months, Kane finally won, and is now set to go into quite a program with The Animal. TNA's Sabu lost his X Division championship to another former WWE star in Kid Kash, Kash was involved in a 6 Way Ultimate X matchup and somehow managed to climb up the structure and aross the ropes and grab the title before any of the other 5 superstars could get up in time. Ring of Honor finally got themselves a World Heavyweight champion, Jimmy Yang defeated Samoa Joe, AJ Styles, Christopher Daniels, Steve Corino and Homicide to become the new ROH WHC. --------------------------- That's it for the back story, as the gameworld starts in July 2007, this a heavily modified version of the Rave-X data from TEW2005, and all i've done is convert the data. Will post the current rosters once i've finished writing them out :)
Wowie on the backstory. I'll be reading.
cheers :) took me a while to try and get a decent story going
So how much of this is AI-caused and how much is player-caused?
All of it is Player Caused, i did a few runs with the AI to begin with, but i didn't like who the companies were hiring, so i thought i'd mess around with reality, bring back Ted Turner and try and make TNA into a WCW wannabe as such, and have Ted bring in former WCW talent because "he knows them" etc.
Is their any chance that u can upload this?
I can, it's nothing fancy mind you, no where near like a proper scenario, just i wanted to get straight into doing a story so used my old 05 data. I'll be able to upload it maybe tomorrow becaus ei'm doing the final tweaks now to development contracts etc. Also, bare in mind no momentum, possibly gimmicks (although most are correct), title lineage etc are sorted as it's a straight conversion. There are however a few real dojo's and a few i made up, i also have added a crap load of made up promotions aswell.
Good stuff
Cheers :)

WrestlingNews.com brings you live coverage of WWE's Raw and Sunday Night Heat TV Tapings here tonight. After the usual WWE Raw Opening, we are immediately taken to the ring where we see Armando....Alejandrro...Eeeeestrrrrrrrrrrada standing, microphone in hand. || After Estrada's usual entrance of both himself and his client Umaga, Val Venis storms the ring, he grabs the microphone out of Estrada's hand and challenges Umaga to a match for tonight! The crowd pops, and umaga just laughs at Val, promting Val to try and beat down Umaga. Failing miserabely, Umaga just ends him with a Samoan Spike, and Estrada says the match is on later tonight! ----------------------- With a new head booker in charge of Raw, Raw is definately said to be heading in a new direction, and with several matches announced for tonight, seems aw will now be focusing more on wrestling! Pretty boring match to be honest, Masters failing to lock in the Masterlock was the highlight! Johnny wins with a Johnny-Go-Round in a dissapointing match up. ----------------------- vs vs vs vs vs Next up was another match up, this time to determine our Number 1 contender to Mickie James' Womens title. Out first was Jillian, followed by Jazz, Beth Phoenix, Tracy Brooks, and Melina, Victoria makes a delayed entrance, coming down at the 3 minute mark. Victoria went on a rampage, eliminating Beth and Jillian immediately, Melina and Jazz tried to double team Victoria, but she turned it into a double clothesline over the top rope, leaving her and Tracy as the final two combatants. Victoria hit a devastating Widows Peak on Tracy before picking her up and throwning her over the top towards Mickie James, who was on commentary for the match up. The Crowd really didn't like this match, and cheered once the match was well and truly over! ----------------------- Candice Michelle and Torrie Wilson are backstage, having a big argument over their shared feelings for Carlito. What they haven't noticed is that he is just around the corner, and can clearly hear everything that they are saying Great, another "Love" storyline involving Carlito, woohoo! ----------------------- vs Umaga came out with AA Estrada, and his matchup with Val Venis is up next. Venis didn't even bother with his towel for this, and just headed straight to the ring for this match up. A little back and forth between the two soon became one way traffic for Umaga, and after hitting his Samoan Neckbreaker, Umaga hit a Samoan Spike for the win. Another match fans didn't like despite the chemistry between the two workers! ----------------------- vs Time came for another number one contender matchup, this time for the Tag titles held by Cryme Tyme. First out were Cade and Murdoch, yep they are still employed! I know, ages since we last saw them! Cade and Murdoch look set for this match, and now we have to await the next returning tag team! Scottish music hits, and out comes The Highlanders, led by Roddy Piper, who is finally making his return to WWE! An all out brawling match that the crowd aren't getting into, Cade and Murdoch hit the Sweet and Sour around 7 minutes in, and this ones over! ----------------------- || Cryme Time have microphones, and proceed to taunt The Highlanders, calling them names and generally acting like they're totally unafraid ----------------------- vs DX's CM Punk came out to a huge ovation, and was set to take on Intercontinental champion Nick Dinsmore. Good match up between the two, really trying to out do each other every step of the way, but the crowd just don't want to get into it! Bad crowd for tonights show by the looks of things! Anyways, back to the matchup, Dinsmore goes for his German Suplex, but Punk turns him round and hits the Uranaga, and locks in the Anaconda Vyse for the Submission victory! ----------------------- We head backstage and see Diego Digou (yes the new Head Booker!) and Johnny Nitro talking, we can't hear them, but they seem to be talking in agreement, Digou offers his hand to Nitro, he accepts, as Digou turns away, Nitro jumps him, and proceeds to beat him down until officials come to Digou's aid. What....the hell? ----------------------- vs Daniel Rodimer, who still hasn't managed to get over ever since his debut, took on DX's Edge, and was told last week by Randy Orton that should he not beat Edge, he would be out of their group! Edge went right at Rodimer, well and truly beating him within a 3 count, but just toyed with Rodimer for a few minutes. With Rodimer back on his feet, the usual Referee bump occured, and this led to Next Generation member Nick Dinsmore come to the aid of Rodimer and hit a brutal German Suplex on Edge, allowing Rodimer to crawl over and drape an arm over Edge for the victory. ----------------------- If ya smellllllllllll what The Rock....Is....COOKING! blares over the tron, and the crowd goes NUTS!! The Rock makes his return to WWE right here tonight, he steps out, and officially announces his return to the ring, saying it will happen, maybe next week, maybe the week after, but it will happen soon! ----------------------- vs Main Event time, and this has been hyped for quite soom time, so hopefully will be a decent match up! DX members Shawn Michaels and Triple H taking on Next Generation members John Cena and Randy Orton. Lots of hard hitting punches, free flowing moves and aerial attacks straight from the bell, and DX take an early advantage. Orton manages to isolate WWE Champion Shawn Michaels, and soon it becomes a back and forth tag between Orton and Cena. Michaels manages to tag Triple H in, and all hell breaks loose, end comes with Triple H Pedigreeing Randy Orton, and then tagging Michaels in to hit an Elbow from the top rope. ----------------------- Overall, yeah a poor card in my opinion, and other fans around me agreed too!

WrestlingNews.com brings you live coverage of WWE's Raw and Sunday Night Heat TV Tapings here tonight. Nows the time for the Heat tapings, why they're doing them AFTER Raw is beyond me, but, here we go!. vs Armando Alejandro Estrada comes to the ring with Umaga to start off Heat (did this not happen on Raw?) and announces that he has hand selected Umaga's opponent for tonights match. Carlito heads down with Torrie Wilson following closely behind, and looks set for this match! Very good showing from Carlito, taking the fight to Umaga, and even managed to hit his Cool Neckbreaker for a very near 3 count, Candice made her way to the ring, distracting Carlito for a split second, of course Umaga hit the Samoan Spike during the distraction and picked up the victory. ----------------------- With Carlito still down, Torrie goes to check on him, leading Candice to confront Torrie and try and help Carlito herself. This leads to the two of them having an arguement, which soon descends into a slapping contest, Carlito comes to and manages to break the two up, much to the delight of the crowd! ----------------------- vs Mickie James came out to take on Beth Phoenix in a womens match up. Very even contest that the crowd again weren't getting into, seems it will take alot for WWE fans to start liking Womens WRESTLING! Mickie takes a lead after hitting the Mick Kick for a near fall, Victoria (Number one contender) makes her way to ringside, distracting Mickie, Beth hits aschoolgirl roolup for a near fall, She lifts Mickie up for a Brainbuster, but Mickie reverses into a Mickie-T for the win. ----------------------- A video is shown hyping up a Battle Royal that will involve some of WWE's legends! ----------------------- vs Next up is a non title match between Next Generation members Daniel Rodimer and Nick Dinsmore taking on World Tag Champions Cryme Tyme! Shad dominates Dinsmore for a few minutes before allowing JTG in, JTG can't handle Dinsmore's technical based wrestling and tags Shad back in, Rodimer comes in and cleans house, tags Dinsmore back in and Dinsmore hits a German Suplex on JTG for the pinfall. Great, Tag champs lose, and wasn't Shad the legal man? ----------------------- We see a video package reviewing the DX vs Next Generation match from this past weeks Raw. ----------------------- vs Main Event time, and we have Johnny "Don't call me Monday Night" Nitro vs Val Venis. The two put on a half decent match, but their styles really don't gel well. Nitro gets the win with a Standing Shooting Star. ----------------------- Again, another card that the crowd weren't too keen on, but maybe it's because it's now on after Raw rather than before?

Every week we will be reviewing WWE, TNA, ROH, ECW and several of WWE's Developmental territories. -------------------- First up for review, WWE Raw! We'll kick the review off with the workers that said goodbye to Raw first. Roadkill, who had been back in ECW for a few months on the companies return, and was now going by the name of Braddock, was finally let go, creative didn't really have anything for him, and there were no signs of a call up happening any time soon, so the company saw it as the right time to release the big man. The only other released worker this week was Raw Ring Announcer Lillian Garcia, who left the company to persue her singing career. Raw was active in who they brought in, obviously looking to make their depleated roster look alot more professional. Teddy Hart was brought in, and was imediately sent to OVW, Raw's head booker Diego Digou is said to be very high on Teddy Hart, and has alot of plans for him should he be called up when the right workers are available to him. Amazing Red was also brought in, and was sent to 3CW in England, Red is no stranger to 3CW, making his UK debut their two years ago, Red is another worker that is high on Digou's list, and although SmackDown! would be better suited to Red, there are some possibilities for fueds within Raw. Mark Copani, yes, formerly of Muhammed Hassan fame, was brought back to the company this past week, the aspiring actor was pursuaded to come back to WWE, and is expected to go straight back into wrestling, however, taking breaks on odd weeks for various other commitments he has. A former worker was contacted and asked to come back to the company this past week, we're not currently sure on who yet, but he is expected to make a return at next weeks TV tapings. Movig away from Raw's superstars, ECW anounced that they were severing ties with WWE, with Raven having taken over the reigns of ECW, he immediately went about cancelling all working agreements with other companies. Bret Hart took over Mid Atlantic Wrestling, and announced he was planning on going to war with Raw, with Raw having restrictions on who they can offer contracts to, Raw cannot hinder MAW by taking talent, however, several people do not see MAW as posing too much of a threat anyways. Finally, New Championship Wrestling also announced they were to go to war with Raw, NCW, now under Don Callis, announced that they were sick of seeing rubbish on TV, and vowed to take Raw down, despite a lack of any TV or PPV deals. SmackDown! made some changes to their roster this past week, bringing in 6 workers First off, Charlie Haas was called up from DSW and will now be appearing on SmackDown! television once again. Also called up was DSW Heavyweight champion Lash LeRoux, Lash is expected to drop the title at his final show before making te jump up to SmackDown! Onto the four accuisitions. SmackDown! look to be making their own Womens division, as they hired both April Hunter, and Desire, both are expected to compete with Ashley, Maria and Angel (among others) for a new SmackDown! Womens crown, although a title is not yet expected to amke a debut on SmackDown! programming. Marcus "Buff" Bagwell joined SmackDown! on a Pay Per Appearance contract, and is widely expected to be used as Midcard jobber to the up and comers. The final addition was Jim Cornette, who was released by TNA on Monday, has rejoined WWE, and is now to be used as Manager/Announcer when he makes his TV debut. Finally, Matt Hardy finally won a Heavyweight title on the SmackDown! brand, winning the US title from Ken Doane, who is now expected to not be given the huge push as originally expected, many believe that once Doane's cotnract expires, he may jump to either Raw, or TNA. Raven took over the reigns of ECW this past week, the former ECW Champion beat off several bids to take control of his former employers, and is now set to go to war with Vince McMahon's Raw. Robert Brisco left OVW for ECW this past week. Devon Storm agreed to jump to ECW, Storm could be in line for a ECW TV title push should the opportunity arise. Finally, ECW's war with Raw became apparant when they won the tug of war for Ron Killings, Killings, who had been out of contract for several months was lined up to be a part of Cryme Tyme, however ended up moving to ECW instead. TNA made headlines this week, and not for good reasons. Paul Heyman was signed on Tuesday to a 1 year deal, and many saw this as a step in the right direction for TNA, however, they U-Turned on Thursday and released Heyman without citing any good explanation other than, "He was released due to our bloated roster" Expect more on this should we get any information. Other workers released this week were the already noted Jim Cornette, finally released after one arguement too many with Vince Russo. And Randy Savage was released this week, supposedly on good terms, he is not expected to head to WWE in any form, and this could well be the last we see of Savage. TNA did bring in a few workers this week, signing Brian Hebnar under the recommebdation of both his father (Earl) and his Uncle (Dave). Mike Sanders was brought into the company, a midcarder at best it would seem. Matt "Luther Reigns" Wiese joined the company, expect an influx in big men to be seen within the company, as TNA look to downgrade their X Division. Peter "PJ" Polaco was also resigned, ater months out of work due since his ECW contract expired last year, Polaco was finally made his return, and will no doubt be thrown into a fued for the X Division title. Only one thing worth noting for ROH this week, on ROH Weekly, Homicide defeated Nigel McGuinness for the ROH Pure title, this could confirm the recent rmours that McGuinness is looking to move from ROH. Onto WWE's development territories. Claudio Castognoli was moved from DSW to OVW in the hopes of a quicker callup to the main roster. 3CW released all 4 Kraze brothers (Cameron, Kyle, Marky B., and Mexican), and also saw off Takeshi Morishima and Anthony McIntyre. Ray Gordy beat Cade Sydal for the DSW TV Title. Martin Kirby beat Darkside for the 3CW Young Lions title.

-------------------- The second week of July saw Raw make alot of progress in regards to new workers, and several came as a huge suprise. One of Britains best workers, Nigel McGuinness confirmed earlier reports that he was leaving ROH buy agreeing a deal with Raw, he is expected to go to 3CW, WWE's English development territory unless the correct storyline comes up. Sticking with British workers, Rebecca Knox was signed to a Development deal, she will be sent to 3CW regardless, as their are no current plans for any WWE Divas, despite Diego Digou actually saying he wants to bring Womens Wrestling back to what it once was. Once again, Brian "Grand Master Sexay" Lawler was brought back to the company. He has agreed a short term, 3 month contract, and this is expected to be his final chance to earn a long term contract with WWE, expect him to be a jobber for his contract unless he impresses. WWE went MMA this week, bringing in former WWE Intercontinental champion Ken Shamrock back to the company, they also brought in Tito Ortiz, Shamrock's constant thorn, and finally, they agreed a deal to bring Tank Abbott to the company, expect some MMA matches to appear on Raw soon! Matt Anoai, who many WWE fans will know as Rosey, made his return to the company at a recent house show event, wearing his 3 Minute Warning gear, he came out during a Umaga match, could this mean that a 3MW reunion is on the cards? or is it a sign that they want to do a big man fued between the two? Two new announjcers were signed up this week, first off, Scott Hall, who is in no shape to wrestle despite what internet reports say, was signed up to be the 3rd Heat announcer alongside Todd Grisham and Howard Finkel, and Randy Savage, who was not expected in any way to be signed up by WWE, has! He will be the 3rd man on Raw, no word on wether he will play the heel or not. William Regal, who was recently released by SmackDown! has jumped ship to Raw, maybe a British team with Nigel McGuinness could prevent Nigel from heading to Development. Expect a possible fued with Ric Flair to come out of this signing. Finally, to finish off reports from last week, Chris Jericho was the former WWE star that was contacted to return, no word yet on his contract, but many believe this could be a sign of his intent to go back to a full time schedule. CornellVerse up and comer Marc DuBois was signed up by SmackDown!, this news only furthered the war between Raw an SmackDown! as he was expected to head to Raw. As reported above, Wlliam Regal was released, no news as to why the decision was made, however, SmackDown! will be hurt badly by this pointless release. Johnny Fairplay finally got the deal he was looking for, he agreed to join ECW this past week, many believe that his time with Raven in TNA may have contributed to the move. Johnny Kashmere was snapped up, no news as to which brand he will be on as of yet, as TNA seem to be going interpromotional at the moment. Colt Cabana joined ECW this past week, Cabana had been working sparingly as a jobber for WWE whilst continuing his Indy work, but is now expected to move to ECW full time. Carlito's brother Eddie Colon was signed to an ECW deal, it is believed that Carlito recomended Eddie to Diego Digou last week, however Vince McMahon's block on signing workers from another company prevented Digou's advances, hence ECW's capture of him. Matt Bentley has been released from his TNA contract, sources internally say that he was privately criticising TNA's management of him, and that he had been talking to his cousin (Shawn Michaels) about a possible jump to WWE should one become available. Raven officially left TNA this week after losing to Tomko, he will now be with ECW full time. Nelson Frazier, formerly of Viscera and Mabel fame, has joined TNA, he, along with Jon Heidenreich, who also signed this past week, are yet more additions to TNA's Big Man era by the seems of things. TNA bolstered their Womens division with former WWE diva Nidia, and WWE Hall of Famer Sherri Martel, both are expected to be used as full time competitors. Harley Race was brought in as a road agent this week after negotiations failed with Raw. Jeff Jarrett beat Matt Morgan for the TNA Multicontinental title. And Tomko beat Raven for NWA World Heavyweight, which was a suprise to many people in attendance! No news to report this week Ryan Reeves defeated the SmackDown! bound Lash LeRoux for the DSW Heavyweight title. Tammy Sytch (Sunny) was signed to a development contract by SmackDown! and was sent to DSW.

vs Carlito took on Sean O'Haire in our opening match of the night. Pretty decent match, Carlito took the win with a Cool Breaker. vs Grand Master Sexay came out to the ring, but was quickly set upon by Copani, no rumours or anything of a potential fulltime return for Grand Master, so no understanding really of what this is about, but still, Copani picked up the win after hiting the Finishing Touch. vs Chris Jericho made his in ring return to WWE by defeating Johnny Nitro. Nitro was too confident throughout the match, at one point grabbing a mic and bad mouthing Diego Digou, who of course came down to the ring, distracting Nitro long enough to turn straight into a Walls of Jericho. Nitro had no option but to tap out, making Jericho's return, a winning one. Diego Digou tells Johnny Nitro that at Bash at the Beach he will have a match against... The match is over, and Umaga is celebrating. Val Venis comes running down with a chair, and jumps him from behind, throwing a series of wild chair shots. Umaga fights off the attack, and starts swinging at Val, forcing Venis to rethink the attack. After a solid blow by Umaga lands, Val Venis tumbles out of the ring and heads for the higher ground of the backstage. vs D Generation X members Shawn Michaels and Triple H took on Next generations Daniel Rodimer and Nick Dinsmore. Although not a spectacular match, DX made their opposition look good, and looked like they were going to put them over at one point, however, Michaels hit the SCM on Rodimer whilst HHH hit the Pedigree on Dinsmore. Michaels covered Rodimer for the win. vs Randy Orton and John Cena took on Edge and CM Punk in what was thought to be the Main Event. Not that solid a match, with several flaws, however Edge ad Orton managed to keep the match from falling completely apart, Cena got the win with an F-U on CM Punk. The remaining DX members make their way to the ring whilst Orton and Cena hightail it up the ramp to jin Rodimer and Dinsmore, DX challenge Next Generation to a 4v4 match at Bash at the Beach! As JR, Jerry Lawler, and new Raw announcer Randy Savage start to say their goodbyes to us, the camera crews cut to the parking lot to show William Regal making his way to the arena! Regal makes his way into the ring, and declares that he is now on Raw, and that he will be taken every opportunity he can get to push for the WWE Title. The Rock makes his way to the ring, and tells him he wants to prove to Regal he doesn't deserve anything. vs The Rock then proceeded to beat William Regal with a Rock Bottom, despite Ragal's shoulder clearly being up!

Anyways, O'Haire dominated this match, and won with a Reverse Death Valley Driver. -------------------- A relatively quiet week for all promotions this week, but still, we have a few news tidbits. To update on Nigel McGuinness position within the near future, the plan of right now is to pair him up with William Regal, he is being monitored on House Shows as being Regals Manager, however is expected to be on air as soon as this coming Monday as an active competitor. Grand Master Sexay made his return this past week, and already there are reports that Jerry Lawler is pushing for this to be a permenant deal, Diego Dgou is expected to talk with President of Talent Relations Mick Foley extensively before offerign an extension to his 3 month contract. Raw surprised us this week by having Shamrock, Abbott and Ortiz all appear together, and all working together, this obviously shows that Raw will not be doing MMA matches as first expected, and we could see these as being a heel stable, expect more MMA workers to come in should this idea take off. Rob Conway, the man released just after WrestleMania has resigned with Raw, with Raw suffering greatly from lack of workers, Conway was brought back, and could well be pushed in a tag team to make him "one of the crowd" rather than a stand alone worker. Super Crazy also resigned this week, Crazy was released along with Conway, and said that he would only return should the right storyline come up, Crazy is wanting to see an influx of Lucha workers on Raw to cater for his style, somethig that may not sit well with Vince, as he did not like the idea of bringing Crazy back to the company. Finally, Steve Austin and Jerry lawler signed Exclusive contract extensions this week, TNA offered Lawler a contract it is believed and Austin was beig interviewed for booking jobs across Europe, Raw obviously took it upon themselves not to lose talent, especially with their current restrictions on accuiring workers. No news to report this week Slick Wagner Brown signed a deal that will see him join ECW, with Brown now back with April Hunter, it is believed that April pushed for him to get a job with ECW, despite being on SmackDown! Former ECW wrestler and WWE Developmental talent Danny Doring has agreed a contract that sees him join TNA, many insiders are reporting this could be Dorings chance to shine as a solo star. No news to report this week No news to report this week
