Whenever i try these my defense always ends up ranked 80-ish or lower in the country in total defense. In this scheme what is most important at LB - run stopping, coverage or blitzing? Should the safeties excel at blitzing or coverage and tackling? I'm not running a 60+ prestige program so it's hard to land players who can "do-it-all" so i would like to know what abilities to maximize in these schemes. udlb58 Posted January 10, 2007 Share Posted January 10, 2007 In the 3-3-5, you need stout D-linemen. Your ends should be very strong and be good at the point of attack and your DT should be the best on your team in these categories. Your MLB shold be good at stopping the run, and having 3 linebackers that are quick helps. Your free safety should be a good cover man that can cover lots of ground, and your strong safety and third safety should be good blitzers and run stoppers since they act as the 7th man in the box.
