FWE - Without Your Kids (Cornellverse)

Recommended Posts

1,000 people showed up – not a sell out, just half full, so a little waste of money. The highlight was a fantastic match between Brandon Smith and Hell Monkey, which saw Smith pinned for the first time at FWE. *** Eddie Peak has won the DaVE Unified Title back off Big Cat Brandon. *** The Natural has become two time NOTBPW Unlimited Action by defeating Edd Stone.

September: Week 1: *** Insane Machine, Cameron Vessey, Frankie Perez and Bulldozer Brandon Smith have ended Japanese tours, Insane Machine having the most success. *** Sam Keith and Danny Jillefski have both lost booking powers after not being able to bring their companies back up to International and Cult level respectively. Neither job interests me, although I’d like to see who Sam Strong brings in at USPW. *** Mitsunari Fugunaga has failed a steroids test. Looks like the Japanese Independents have better testing programs than the main feds. *** DaVE, GCG and NOTBPW have shows coming to an end. TCW go back on TV, but SWF are still only shown weekly in the UK. *** Jack Griffiths, rather unsurprisingly, has no interest in re-signing his contract with USPW. *** SWF Supreme TV is still in the UK. And Remo has taken the North American Title off Joe Sexy. *** USPW have a genius plan of how to solve their problems – put the National Title back on Giant Redwood. Next stage is to make him their booker. *** Oh, that slowed down the game. Looks like its 9 months from when everyone went on a signing spree at the beginning of the game. That’s nine wrestlers I have to negotiate with. *** Shawn Gonzalez and Burning EXILE both leave their booking posts at CZCW and WEXXV respectively, as Eric Eisen takes over at SWF. *** There’s going to be a few more wrestlers leaving, thinking that they’re two big for their promotions. Black Eagle is top of the list, which will leave him unemployed, as well as Grandmaster Phunk and Whistler. Considering Phunk and Whistler were Main Eventing the last NYCW show, this could leave them in trouble. *** USPW make Giant Redwood their booker. The hottest promotion going into 2007, not quite so hot now. *** Add Black Hat Bailey to the list looking to leave NYCW. The only way The Stomper is going to be able to get around this is to bring in some new, younger talent. *** Steve Gumble leaves TCW. They’ll have to find someone else to dump the All Action Title on now.
Announced for FWE Presents… Forget School! Joey Poison, Kashmir Singh and Thomas Morgan vs Harry Wilson, Mean Jean Cattley and Remmy Skye Ultimate Phoenix, Mainstream Hernandez and Cameron Vessey vs Randall Hopkirk, Barry Kingman and Insane Machine Eisaku Hoshino vs Bulldozer Brandon Smith
Week 2: *** 17 people show another good American independent show, headlined once more by another Madman Boone victory – that’s five in a row for him. *** Leo Davis takes on the book at CZCW. Hopefully he won’t follow Gonzalez’s example of putting the top belt on himself. Although he needs to put it on somebody – Shawn never dropped it before walking out on CZCW. *** Lioness Mushashibo takes over at WEXXV. We’ll keep an eye on that. *** Little Bill Lebowski and Remmington Remus are the first to re-sign with FWE. We’re hoping for some more exciting news over the next few days. *** Mainstream Hernandez re-signs with USPW. Good for his National Exposure, but not really for his standing in the South East. *** WEXXV first match under Mushashibo is steady and uneventful – not necessarily enough to turn the company around financially. *** Eric Eisen notices how underused DuBois has been this year, and brings him out from the cold to win his second Shooting Star Title off Bart Biggz. It was on another show in the UK, and I’m not sure if they’re trying to keep their contract there, as the crowd just aren’t participating. *** Thomas Morgan, Cal Sanders and Kathy Neptune are three more undercarders signing back up with FWE. Ultimate Phoenix was underused for the past 9 months, but for the money we’re paying him, he’s happy.

FWE Presents… Forget School! Joey Poison, Kashmir Singh and Thomas Morgan beat Harry Wilson, Mean Jean Cattley and Mark Smart in 8.39 (E+) -This match was purely there to announce that at Happyness there will be a ten man battle royal to determine the number one contender to the Extreme Title. Here Poison put away Smart with an Antidote Web. *** Poison celebrates the win, but is clubbed down from behind by Cattley, unhappy with the loss (E). *** Kathy Neptune is out back with Rick Sanders, telling him that he has to defeat Hopkirk at Happyness (just a fortnight away!), so he can rightfully claim back FWE. That’s when Randall Hopkirk walked in, and informed the two that he was in charge to stay – and to prove it, he was making a match for later. It was going to be against his old stable mate, Frankie Perez, but he was now making it a handicap match also featuring Mean Jean Cattley, as he looked like he had some anger to take out (D), Randall Hopkirk, Barry Kingman and Insane Machine beat Ultimate Phoenix, Mainstream Hernandez and Cameron Vessey in 13.34 (D-) -The heels outclassed the faces, although Kingman still didn’t seem happy with Hopkirk helping him. Both Kingman and Insane Machine did the work, but Hopkirk came in to steal the pin on Mainstream Hernandez. *** Hopkirk demanded a mic after the match, and said that Rick Sanders was not in his class, and would be forced out of FWE forever after their match at Happyness (C). *** Hoshino was then shown out back, doing the hype for his title shot at Happyness, where Kingman wouldn’t have Hopkirk to protect him (C+). *** Cattley and Perez then came out for the handicap match, seeming uneasy partners (D). Frankie Perez and Mean Jean Cattley beat Rick Sanders in 13.20 (D-) -Sanders tried to take advantage of Cattley’s tiredness, but was put away eventually by Perez. *** Hopkirk came out after the match to congratulate Cattley and Perez, both of whom seemed unhappy to be Hopkirk’s minions for the night (D+). *** Bulldozer Brandon Smith was out with Charlize Angelle at his side. He said that he was young, and had already learnt from his first loss at FWE. He was going to provide a major upset tonight, and show himself as a future star (C-). Eisaku Hoshino beat Bulldozer Brandon Smith in 15.24 (C-) -Considering these two don’t click, they put on a great show – Smith showing that he truly is a future star. However, Hoshino is already a superstar, and won with a Nuclear Death Bomb. Overall Rating D+

A 2,000 sellout, and a slightly expensive show – but we’re close to a big show, and need to build a few things up. Unsurprisingly Cattley was overused, a result of me accidentally announcing him in two different matches. Brandon Smith was also slightly overused in the Main Event, but deserved his spot there. *** American Elemental sign up to tour with INSPIRE. He’s getting closer to BHOTWG. *** Jez McArthuer’s demands are high, so I’m going to try and find another ref. I’m also having difficulty agreeing terms with Rock Downpour, but there are very few other options out there. Kashmir Singh re-signs, but far more importantly, so does Insane Machine. *** Hooded Kudo beings his fourth reign as BHTOWG World Champion, defeating Yasunobu Masuno. *** SWF run their latest PPV in… Scotland. Enough said. Joe Sexy is quick to leave, resulting in the Tag Team Titles being vacated. What a mess. *** Rock Downpour gets a raise at FWE – if he asks for the same again next time, he won’t get it. Charlize Angelle is also back for another 9 months. *** Hell Monkey has picked up a kidney infection, and is out of Happyness, where he was scheduled to meet Frankie Perez. Drat. He does re-sign for FWE, but at some cost. *** Shane Stones comes in much more cost effective than McArthuer, so will now officiate in all FWE matches now. *** Fox Mask is to go back on tour with WLW, after putting decent performances in last tour in al his seven losses. *** Insane Machine announces he will tour with INSPIRE, his third Japanese promotion of the year. *** We entered into negotiations with Teddy Powell, but were unable to get him on the cheap, so backed out. *** Brent Hill joins DaVE, but will still work for TCW. *** SWF come back to the US, and, shock horror, put on a decent show!
Announced for FWE Presents… Invasion: Derek Frost vs Frankie Perez
Hmmm, exciting card.

FWE Presents… Invasion: Frankie Perez beat Derek Frost in 6.04 (D-) -The crowd really weren’t into these two heels having their work out here, but we needed Perez in action tonight. *** Perez told the crowd that his match with Hell Monkey for next week had been cancelled, as his opponent has cried out of it. He announces that he still want an opponent, to which Burning EXILE comes out and gives him a stare. Challenge accepted (E+). *** For the Internet, the announcers, er, announce the Main Event for the night, which will see Burning EXILE take on Fumihiro Ota (E). *** Mainstream Hernandez comes out to say that he will win a shot at the Extreme Title by going through ten men at Boldness. He wants a practice ladder match for his title shot now, and wants to take on the current number one contender for the title, Ultimate Phoenix. Phoenix comes out, and drags a ladder from under the ring, and we have an impromptu match (D+). Ultimate Phoenix beat Mainstream Hernandez in a ladder match in 14.42 (C-) -Knew I should have made this my Main Event! Great match, where both men showed that they’d be a threat to win their respective matches next week. Hernandez missed with a dive from the top of the ladder, making Phoenix’s win easy in the end. *** Phoenix taunted Insane Machine, warning him that next week Phoenix wouldn’t be taking down a random bag – he’d be taking the Extreme Title (D)! Burning EXILE beat Fumihiro Ota in 14.24 (E+) -Well, that sucked. The Exile Driver made him seem like a threat to Perez, but what is up with Ota? He’s been in some poor matches when I’ve bothered to book him. Couldn’t be his morale, could it? Oh. We learnt something about how to organise a card last night, as 950 people watched a haphazard attempt in the South West.
Announced for FWE Presents… Happyness? 10 Man Over the Top Rumble to determine the Number One Contender to the FWE Extreme Title, featuring Cameron Vessey, Harry Wilson, Joey Poison, Kashmir Singh, Mainstream Hernandez, Thomas Morgan, Mean Jean Cattley, Mark Smart and two others to be confirmed Insane Machine (c) vs Ultimate Phoenix for the FWE Extreme Title Burning EXILE vs Frankie Perez Rick Sanders vs Randall Hopkirk Barry Kingman (c) vs Eisaku Hoshino for the FWE Warrior Title
*** There may have to be some change in USPW – World and Tag Team Champion Demon Spite is rumoured not to be re-signing. *** Fumihiro Ota goes to MAW, and is expected to slip in straight to the Main Event. *** Zeus Maximillion leaves 4C, and will concentrate on his CGC career. *** Shock at TCW, where Genghis Rahn pins Tommy Cornell on TV to win his first ever World Title. He seems to be their new “big man”, as BLZ Bubb looks to be on his way out. *** CZCW rise on Regional on the back of Plague winning the Championship off Donnie J. Maybe they will manage to re-sign their star. Masked Cougar and Remmy Skye (Insane Connection) also take the Tag Belts. Week 4: *** Joe Sexy quickly finds new employment – surprisingly with CGC. *** SWF decide not to follow TCW’s lead, and take the title off their large heel, putting it back on Christian Faith for his fifth reign.

FWE Presents… Happyness? We’re in a half full Arkansas Colliseum, so that’s a good start. As people take there seats we hype Sanders vs Hopkirk and Kingman vs Hoshino, before our first match (C-) Frankie Perez beat Burning EXILE in 14.13 (D) -EXILE bounced his way around the ring, putting plenty of effort into the match. However, Perez ground his opponent down, before making him tap to the P-Clutch. *** Backstage and TCW’s Tana the Mighty was by the camera. He introduced his two dudes – Thomas Morgan and new signing Roderick Remus, who come into shot wearing ridiculous sunglasses, and said that one of them would be winning the Battle Royale next (D). *** All four men were to start in the ring together, and the crowd popped when it was announced that Steve Gumble would be the tenth man in the Rumble (C-). Steve Gumble won a 10 Man Over the Top Rumble in 13.42, in a match also including Cameron Vessey, Harry Wilson, Joey Poison, Kashmir Singh, Mainstream Hernandez, Thomas Morgan, Mean Jean Cattley, Mark Smart and Roderick Remus (D+) -10 men looking to break into the big time at FWE, nine of whom can’t be too happy that a newcomer got the win. Singh, Remus, Vessey, Wilson and Smart didn’t last too long, before the final five spent some time working together. Hernandez removed Morgan and Poison, but quickly fell himself to Cattley. Gumble and Cattley went at it four a good five minutes, before Gumble ducked a clothesline, and levered Cattley over the top rope. *** As Gumble celebrated, Charlize Angelle came out, and said that Gumble had achieved nothing. The hottest thing in FWE, her man Bulldozer Brandon Smith, for some reason wasn’t a part of the Battle Royale. He is the future, and he will be the next Extreme Champion (E+). *** Gumble left the ring to argue with Angelle, but Ultimate Phoenix was out armed with a ladder to tell them that he actually had a title shot now, their arguments should wait (D). Insane Machine (c) beat Ultimate Phoenix in 17.31 to retain the FWE Extreme Title (D+) -Insane Machine continues to be a silent, but very effective champion. Ultimate Phoenix got closer to the title than anyone else, but Insane Machine has become very effective at using ladders as a weapon. Phoenix was crushed between two ladders, but still almost managed to stop the champion reclaiming his title. *** Rick Sanders came out with Kathy Neptune to tell the crowd that it was signed – whoever won this next match would officially be in charge of FWE. It would be 100% fair, and would be a normal everyday match. Randall Hopkirk came out with a big grin on his face, and was followed out by Jez MacArthuer (Shane Stones refereed the rest of the matches). Hopkirk told MacArthuer to check Sanders over, but he never checked Hopkirk at all (C) Randall Hopkirk beat Rick Sanders in 9.36 (D) -Someone else Hopkirk doesn’t have chemistry with. Sanders didn’t stand a chance, as Hopkirk was given full range to do what he liked, while MacArtuer stopped Sanders every time he even bent the rules. Even when he made a pin attempt, the count lasted forever. After Hopkirk dropped Sanders headfirst into the ring steps, Sanders was out, and Hopkirk made the academic cover. *** Hopkirk threw Sanders out of the ring, and as the AMT’s came down, Hopkirk told MacArthuer to stay in the ring – he’d be needed in the Main Event (C). *** Hoshino came out and told Hopkirk that he could try and bend the rules however he wanted – he would step out the ring later as the Warrior Champion (C). Eisaku Hoshino beat Barry Kingman (c) in 14.41 for the FWE Warrior Title (C-) -Once again the rules were not adhered to here on Kingman’s side, and even Hopkirk came down to the ring. At 2 vs 1 Hoshino fought valiantly, but was hit by a Randalism by Hopkirk. As MacArthuer made the count, Shane Stones rushed out and dragged MacArthuer from the ring, breaking the pin. Stones dropped MacArthuer with a punch, before Hopkirk and grabbed him. The crowd roared as Rick Sanders reappeared, and started beating Hopkirk through the crowd. As they disappeared attention returned to the ring, where Hoshino again broke a pin, before hitting a Godzilla Plunge on Kingman. Stones re-entered the ring, and made the three count, and we crowned a new champion! *** Hoshino went to every corner of the ring, holding his title high as the flashbulbs went off (C-) Overall Rating D+

987 showed that we still absolutely rely on Hoshino to carry an event, and he fully deserved the Warrior Title. It’s just a shame he’ll probably be gone in 3 months. Elsewhere we had three debuts, Tana the Mighty, Roderick Remus and Steve Gumble – the latter of whom earned an Extreme Title shot against Insane Machine in the future. *** Burning EXILE has signed up short term with PGHW, and Bulldozer Brandon Smith goes to CZCW. Both will be looking to make a splash. *** Brent Hill has swooped into DaVE and won the Brass Knuckles Title from Guide in his first appearance. He still holds the TCW Tag belt as well. *** Randall Hopkirk also goes to CZCW, while Jack Griffiths wisely leaves USPW. *** Jungle Jack is CZCW’s third signing since reaching Regional, as they move to bring in more brawlers. October: $8,000 loss? Pah! *** Are we ready? Leaving there posts are Mainstream Hernandez from FWE and MAW, booker Black Hat Bailey from NYCW, Jungle Jack from GCG, Grandmaster Phunk (NYCW) and Steven Parker (MAW). Several big names – Captain USA, Whistler, Antonio, Huey Cannonball not su big. Alicia Strong’s tour with 5SSW ends with her going 6-17, having been defeated twice by her mentor, Sensational Ogiwara. *** WEXXV fold, to no-ones surprise. *** Mainstream Hernandez left FWE due to his increasing costs, which probably caused him to leave MAW as well. *** Madman Boone and Alex DeColt head in the same direction – that of an Entertainer. *** On a whim I decide to check with my CZCW workers, and get the news I expected – they’ll be choosing them over us. FWE Presents… In the House: *** We started off with the new Warrior Champion, showing off his belt. It didn’t take long for Kingman to come out to tell Hoshino that the reign would be short lived, as he’d be taking his title back tonight (C). Cameron Vessey beat Harry Wilson in 7.40 (E) -These two had met plenty in the past, but never had a singles match – and as this was Wilson’s last show, I thought that I’d give them a chance. But they didn’t click. *** Tana the Mighty was backstage with Roderick Remus and Thomas Morgan, who had really bad shirts to match their glasses this week. Tana said that his team would be the cornerstone of tag team action in FWE (D-). Frankie Perez beat Joey Poison in 8.35 (D+) -The Perez machine rolls on, and although Poison hit a few moves, the P-Clutch eventually was locked in. *** Perez took the mic after the match and said that he was right on top of the pile at FWE, and could match either Hoshino or Kingman (C-). *** Hopkirk and Kingman were shown arguing backstage, seemingly about tactics for the title match. Hoshino stood behind them listening, before clearing his throat slowly. As the heels truned around, Hoshino applauded their plan, which so far only seemed to involve banning Rick Sanders from the arena. He walked off, clapping, before Kingman stormed away from Hopkirk (C-). Trademark beat The Canadians in 3.42 (E+) -They go by the name of Trademark, they’re dudes, and it was Remus who pinned Appleby in this squash. Remmington pointed out that his brother was sure laid back – but it was working so far. *** Steve Gumble came down to the ring, and announced that he had a new home after being let go by TCW. He enjoyed his years, and his titles there, but was now 100% behind FWE, and was looking to add another title to his collection – Insane Machine’s Extreme Title (D-). Steve Gumble beat Mark Smart in 3.56 (D-) -They don’t click, but won’t meet again anytime soon – this is Smart’s last match at FWE for a while. Gumble won with a Savate Kick. *** Charlize Angelle came out applauding, before asking if Gumble thought that his TCW wins got him a place in the Rumble last week. Somehow her man, Brandon Smith got left out – but he’ll get to meet him soon enough (E+). *** Jez MacArthuer was in the ring for the Main Event, when Hopkirk came out, and manhandled him out of the ring. Hopkirk announced that Kingman didn’t want to play by his rules – that was fine. He now loses all of his help (C). Eisaku Hoshino (c) beat Barry Kingman in 21.46 to retain the FWE Warrior Title (D+) -Things are going badly when these two can’t drag me into “C” territory. It also doesn’t help that even in this match my colour commentary shone out as being poor. A Godzilla Plunge won this one. Overall Rating D+

1,842, and, uh, not that good. Time to change a few storylines around. *** Brent Hill’s Brass Knuckles reign is over quickly, at the hands of Shawn Gonzalez, who afterwards announced that he was taking over booking at NYCW. *** Four workers aren’t re-signed with FWE. Tempest Appleby was true one dimensional, and Jez MacArthuer wanted too much money. Both Harry Wilson and Mark Smart will be welcomed back, but just weren’t justifying being around at the moment. *** Acid is to tour with PGHW, while MAW sign Matt Sparrow, Air Attack Weasel and Knuckles fill the void in the Mid Atlantic. *** SWF have to sign a PPV deal with American Option. Buy rates are expected to take a hit, as no-one has matched any of their buy rates yet. *** Two more leave FWE. Jen Neptune was another girl not being used, while Derek Frost didn’t fit into our action packed style. What do you mean neither do Randall Hopkirk or Tana the Mighty? *** Phenomenal E gets an FWE extension. Yes, he was cheap. *** Brent Hill wins the International Title back off Rick Law, to make up for his Brass Knuckles at DaVE.
Announced for FWE Presents… Invasion: Roderick Remus vs Bulldozer Brandon Smith Randall Hopkirk (c) vs Cameron Vessey for the CZCW Championship Eisaku Hoshino (c) vs Ultimate Phoenix for the FWE Warrior Title
Week 2: *** Clark Alexander also joins MAW, and they’re doing a reasonable job of restocking their roster. *** After Xtreme Champion Plague and Combat Zone Champion Shawn Gonzalez both left CZCW, Breakin’ Down put down a marker for their run at Regional. Surprisingly, James Prudence and Donnie J fought over the Xtreme title, with Prudence winning this one. Even more surprisingly, the main strap was put on Randall Hopkirk, after he defeated Frankie Perez in a reasonable bout. *** Change too at NYCW, where Stevie Grayson wins the vacant Empire Title against Honest Frank. *** Joel Bryant has shocked TCW by telling them that not only will he be touring with PGHW, but he will attend all of their events, even when they clash with the TCW shows that he books.

FWE Presents… Invasion: Er, rubbish. An Invasion show that we accidentally ran from our own backyard. Sheesh – that’s bad booking. *** Roderick Remus comes to the ring, before Bulldozer Brandon Smith came out and ripped Remus’ shirt off, before the match began (E) Bulldozer Brandon Smith beat Roderick Remus in 10.20 (D) -Reasonable singles debut for Remus, but he was put away with a Bulldozer Lariat. *** Hopkirk comes out with the Coastal Zone Championship, saying he was meant to defend it in front of a CZCW crowd, and was disgusted that he had to defend it here in the South East (C). Randall Hopkirk (c) beat Cameron Vessey to retain the CZCW Championship in 6.31 (D) -Vessey brawled hard, before falling to a Randallism. *** As Hopkirk sauntered out of the ring, Ultimate Phoenix came out for the Main Event. Hopkirk barged shoulder with him, before a shoving match started, that only ended when Hoshino came out to break things up (C-). Eisaku Hoshino (c) beat Ultimate Phoenix to retain the FWE Warrior Title in 17.51 (D-) -Nope, they don’t click. Also not getting the Phoenix overness boast that I was expecting when I thought I was in the South West. Rubbish. *** After the match Hopkirk charged out, but, at a sign of Phoenix and Hoshino joining forces, thought better of it, and just brandished his title for everyone to see (C-) Overall Rating D

1,765 people turned up to a pretty meaningless show. We’re going to run an Invasion show next week, meaning that all thoughts of storylines have basically been put on hold for a month. Good job. *** FWE Invasion has risen in importance, after the least important show that I’ve run. *** After running the nine highest buy rates this year, SWF’s change of PPV provider sees them draw a measly 0.84, which has been bettered by TCW, PGHW, BHOTWG and even DaVE. Eric Eisen booked himself a World Title shot. *** Jerome Thomas and Tom Townsend are said to be at war at NOTBPW, which should make the announce table there interesting. *** Demon Spite has left USPW, leaving the World and Tag Title vacant. 820 souls from the South West came out for this one, to end what can only be described as a poor month for FWE. *** Jack Griffith has re-signed with DaVE, where he’s far happier than at USPW. *** Peter Valentine goes over Bruce the Giant for the vacant USPW World Title, while The Lords of War take the Tag Titles. *** Chance Fortune takes his second All Action Title after defeating Aaron Andrews. *** After leaving WLW, The Great Hisato is to tour with PGHW. Week 4: *** Elemental II began his sixth reign as Burning Junior Champion, still three behind Optimus. *** Fumihiro Ota’s MAW debut sees him take the Mid Atlantic Title from Mean Jean Cattley. *** Yasunobu Masuno is first becoming a star at BHOTWG, where he’s won his second World Title off Hooded Kudo. Julian Watson also took the Openweight Title that night. ____________________________ November: $9,000 profit this month, but it didn’t really help FWE’s standing in the US. *** TCW run their PPV from Canada, and it dragged. NOTBPW are doing far better in the US. *** Team Dynasty beat Team Energy for their fifth Elite Tag Team Series. *** Bart Biggz has left SWF. *** TCW Pain is to debut next month – on lowly Sports America. *** SWF Featured Attraction is to run on The Pop! Network. At midnight. *** Hell Monkey’s WLW Universal reign is over at the hands of Emerald Angel. *** FWE’s Frankie Perez and Remmington Remus have been quite friendly backstage recently at events. *** Meanwhile at DaVE Guide put over booker Farrah Hesketh on the radio. FWE Presents… Can I Cancel? *** A debut to open the show, as Matt Sparrow comes out, announcing that he still has beef with Insane Machine from CZCW. He knows that Gumble is the Number One contender to his belt, but he still wants to face him – a challenge which is soon answered (D+). Matt Sparrow beat Insane Machine by count out in 10.00 in a non title match (D) -Even match, which had Insane Machine looking frustrated, so much show that he left the ring at ten minutes, to lose by count out. *** Steve Gumble is shown backstage to say that he’s going to make sure that when he takes on Insane Machine it’ll be in a ladder match, to make sure he can’t run away (D-). *** Another debut, as Steven Parker is shown backstage meeting up with Mean Jean Cattley. Cattley tried to reminisce about their time in MAW, but Parker blows it off, saying that MAW was a stepping stone to here, and here is a stepping stone to the world. He tells Cattley to remember that as they team together (D). Steve Gumble beat Burning EXILE in 6.44 (D-) -Gumble keeps up his impressive run, defeating Burning EXILE (who was originally going to win my ten man rumble that Gumble won) with a Savate Kick. *** Gumble turns around to celebrate, and is blown over by Bulldozer Brandon Smith. He says they’ve got one more chance, together against the champion and the parrot from CZCW (C-). The Foundation beat Trademark in 6.06 (D-) -Cattley and Parker proved a well oiled machine, and Parker pinned Thomas Morgan after a Future Shock. *** Frankie Perez cut an interview on Hell Monkey, telling him that now he was back, he would rightfully avenge his defeat from earlier this year – and take the next step to the Warrior Title (D+). Eisaku Hoshino and Ultimate Phoenix beat Randall Hopkirk and Barry Kingman in 7.50 (D) -Hopkirk and Kingman didn’t get on, and when Rick Sanders got into an argument in Kingman, the TCW man was exposed in the ring. He fell to a Phoenix Firebird Splash from the parrot from CZCW. *** Hopkirk angrily left the ring, and ignored the fighting Sanders and Kingman as he headed out of the arena (D+). *** We played parts of the last match between Hell Monkey and Frankie Perez, where Hell Monkey got the hard earned win (D+). Frankie Perez beat Hell Monkey in 19.27 (C) -Two of the finest technicians on the indy scene – we were happy to give them plenty of time. They gave it everything, but Hell Monkey tired (as I pointed out on commentary – he was only just back from injury), and Perez just got a three count. Overall Rating C-

Thank you Mr Perez and Mr Monkey – you made an average show memorable for the 1,943 who attended. They put in a great show, while other noticeable events were Steven Parker and Matt Sparrow debuting. *** Burning EXILE has added GCG to his PGHW and FWE commitments. *** Steve Frehley (aka the fourth most popular wrestler in the US) and Jack Bruce both announce an intention to explore the Japanese market. Not good news for the quickly sinking ship that is SWF. *** But looking at it, Japan is heading for a down period in the industry and economy, whereas at least in the US the economy is rising.
Announced for FWE Presents… Invasion: Ultimate Phoenix vs Matt Sparrow Thomas Morgan vs Frankie Perez
Week 3: *** Bad day for INSPIRE, as both William Hayes and Mohammed El Yaaggoudi shatter their elbows at the same event. *** Frankie Perez announces that he is to tour with GCG. My safe Wednesday’s for running shows is at an end. *** Angry Gilmore takes the SWF North American Title from Remo. Of course only the Brits saw it – perhaps they’ll show a replay on SWF’s new show next month. Akima Brave also takes the Shooting Star Title from DuBois.

FWE Presents… Invasion: Shock, horror, I actually remember to invade the South West this month. Randall Hopkirk beat Kashmir Singh in 4.42 (E+) -Hopkirk gets to squash someone at the same time as not clicking with them. *** Hopkirk calls Hoshino out, saying that he’s heard some rumours about who he would defend his Warrior Title against. Hoshino comes out and says it’s true – he is giving the next Warrior Title shots to men who know the true definition of being a warrior – those who have competed in Japan. Out comes Burning EXILE, and Hopkirk declares that as a Japanese Warrior, EXILE will get a shot at Hoshino’s title tonight (C-). Frankie Perez beat Thomas Morgan in 7.45 (D) -Relatively easy victory with a Perfect Parity. *** Perez takes a mic after the match, and reminds everyone that he has toured in Japan, and having defeated Hell Monkey last week, thinks he should get the next Warrior Title shot (C). Ultimate Phoenix beat Matt Sparrow in 10.33 (D) -Got what I expected, but considering they showed great chemistry, I think maybe I should have had a little bit more. The Phoenix Firebird Splash earned the win. *** Ultimate Phoenix hauled Matt Sparrow up and shook his hands. Not sure if the South West crowd have forgiven him for leaving CZCW though (D). *** Hoshino was out to say that there were many warriors at FWE, and he would systematically go through them one by one (D). Eisaku Hoshino (c) beat Burning EXILE to retain the FWE Warrior Title in 12.40 (C+) -Even better than EXILE’s debut, where the two met. Of course, I let down the commentary team, but that’s to be expected. Hoshino won with a Godzilla Plunge. Overall Rating C-

A measly 520 people saw my best show so far in the South West – Hoshino’s best match with FWE, and only equalled by one match this year (an Insane Machine / Black Eagle bout from the summer). I think that actually says how poor some of my events have been so far. Hoshino declared that he’s be defending his title against men with Japanese experience. Puroresu fans will be a but disappointed that for the next show, as that means former GCG worker Tana the Mighty. *** ELPF has begun culling their roster, in a desperate attempt to fend off the banks. *** FWE sign Samoan Kanishoki, cousin of Tana the Mighty. *** SOTBPW rise to Cult, lead by El Demonico second Campeon de Mundo reign. *** Thomas Morgan Main Events the most recent 4C show, falling short in a title bid against Joey Poison. Kingman is yet to receive a shot.
Announced for FWE Presents… Fireworks: Hell Monkey and Rick Sanders vs Barry Kingman and Burning EXILE Cameron Vessey vs Steven Parker Matt Sparrow and Ultimate Phoenix vs Insane Machine and Randall Hopkirk Steve Gumble vs Bulldozer Brandon Smith Eisaku Hoshino (c) vs Tana the Mighty for the FWE Warrior Title
FWE Presents… Fireworks: Hell Monkey and Rick Sanders beat Barry Kingman and Burning EXILE in 10.43 (D) -Hell Monkey was given the most time here, and pinned Kingman after a Tumbling Monkey *** Kingman flapped his arms as he stumbled to the back, with the commentary team pointing out how things have not gone his way since he lost the Warrior Title (D+). *** Mean Jean Cattley came out with Steven Parker, pointing out how Cameron Vessey thought that he deserved big things on name value alone, but in reality couldn’t cut it (D-). Steven Parker beat Cameron Vessey in 8.01 (E+) -Well, this is what you get when you throw two men who aren’t too well known against each other. Cattley interfered to allow Parker to hit the Future Shock. *** Tana the Mighty was shown with Thomas Morgan and Roderick Remus, hyping up his title shot – telling Hoshino he could work any style he wants to take the win (B-). Insane Machine and Randall Hopkirk beat Matt Sparrow and Ultimate Phoenix in 11.33 (D-) -Slightly disappointing this one. Hopkirk let Insane Machine do most of the work, just entering every now and then to hit some clubbing blows. Insane Machine hit the Termination Kick on Phoenix for the win. *** Bulldozer Brandon Smith came out with Charlize Angelle, and declared that if Brandon Smith won the next match, he should take over Steve Gumble’s number one contender slot to the Extreme Title (D). Steve Gumble beat Bulldozer Brandon Smith by DQ in 11.48 (D-) -Different styles + no clicking – I wonder how long till I forget and run this one again. It was really even, until Insane Machine ran in and blasted Gumble with a chair, leading to the DQ. *** Bulldozer Brandon Smith was not happy with the attack, and wrenched the chair from Machine’s hand. He took an almighty swipe, but Machine ducked, and quickly rolled from the ring (E+). *** Randall Hopkirk came to the top of the ramp, and called for some order. Next show Insane Machine would defend his Extreme Title in a Triple Threat match with Steve Gumble and Bulldozer Brandon Smith. Smith looked happy, but face dropped when he learnt the defence would be a ladder match (D+). Eisaku Hoshino (c) beat Tana the Mighty to retain the FWE Warrior Title in 6.50 (D) -Ouch, another match where they don’t click. Tana huffed and puffed, but was quickly put away by the champion. *** As Hoshino was announced the winner, Frankie Perez dove under the ropes and started viscously attacking the Warrior Champion. Blood was spilled, but Hoshino fought back. Eventually the two were separated, with Hoshino announcing that he would grant Perez the next shot – and he would have his revenge (C). Overall Rating D-

Ew. 520 people, and nothing to write home about at all. Hopefully our next show will be better, as we spent this one setting a few bouts up.
Announced for FWE Presents… Cold Turkey: Burning EXILE vs Barry Kingman Ultimate Phoenix vs Randall Hopkirk Insane Machine (c) vs Steve Gumble vs Bulldozer Brandon Smith for the FWE Extreme Title Eisaku Hoshino (c) vs Frankie Perez for the FWE Warrior Title
*** Jacob Jett wins his first major singles title, taking the NOTBPW Unlimited Action Title from The Natural. *** Robert Oxford has left TCW. December: *** That’s a $21,000 loss last month, taking away all of the money that we’ve previously earned. The month only had two matches worth mentioning – Hell Monkey vs Frankie Perez and Eisaku Hoshino vs Burning EXILE. *** Insane Machine’s tour with INSPIRE is over. He went 3-2, much better than Frankie Perez and Cameron Vessey previously managed. *** Now Perez (and EXILE) are touring with GCG, my Wednesday shows aren’t a free day. Monday and Thursdays look to be my new days, and I need to do this one on the Monday.
You seem to have worse luck with chemistry than just about anybody!
I want to know when chemistry will even itself out, as I always have a larger list of "no chemistry" compared to "good chemistry" (in every game I've played). To add to the fact that I keep forgetting to actually check the list (which is everybody elses fault, and definately not mine), I think I'm owed two of my uppercarders having good chemistry with one another!

Reckon I can put on another two matches where the participants don't click? Of course I can! FWE Presents… Cold Turkey: Barry Kingman beat Burning EXILE in 7.55 (D-) -More no clicking – in EXILE’s last match at FWE as well. Can’t keep him just because he puts on a good match with Hoshino. *** Kathy Neptune comes out – and doesn’t stink the place up! She challenges Kingman on behalf of Rick Sanders to a match at No Agents, which is accepted (D). *** Remmington Remus has wondered backstage to try and interview Frankie Perez, but he’s so focused on warming up that he ignores the attempts completely (D+). *** Remus satisfies himself with Gumble, who says he is the one who has earned an Extreme Title shot, and he will take advantage of it (D-). Bulldozer Brandon Smith beat Insane Machine (c) and Steve Gumble for the FWE Extreme Title in a ladder match in 13.45 (D+) -Machine and Gumble looked happy using the ladder, Brandon Smith not nearly so much. Gumble looked like he had the match when, when Fumihiro Ota pulled him down from the ladder. In despatching him from the ring he also took out Insane Machine, and an unsteady Brandon Smith was left clear to take the Extreme Title. *** Charlize Angelle dragged Brandon Smith away, as Ota continued his assault on Gumble, with the commentating team wondering what the cause of this was (D-). *** Cut to backstage, and Angelle and Brandon Smith seemed to be leaving the arena for the night, and the champagne’s already open (D). *** Randall Hopkirk came to the ring, and started to make derisory comments about CZCW wrestlers – however talented they are, they’re too small to win anything, which is why he is the CZCW Champion (D). Ultimate Phoenix beat Randall Hopkirk by DQ in 6.17 (E+) -Ouch. So bad it probably didn’t help Phoenix, but may have irreparably damaged Hopkirk’s credibility. No, they didn’t click. And no, my ref doesn’t like Hopkirk. They’ve clashed before, and again Hopkirk’s exuberance got him disqualified. *** Phoenix raced from the ring, arms aloft as Hopkirk argued the call. Unsuccessfully (D+). *** Hoshino came out to say that Perez was another with Japanese experience, but not enough to have truly earned respect, and he would teach him a thing or two next (C). Frankie Perez beat Eisaku Hoshino (c) for the FWE Warrior Title in 20.32 (C) -Deserved better colour commentary? Surely not! I should really invest in someone to sort that out. Technical wonder piece, which culminated in Perez locking in the P-Clutch. Hoshino struggles for the ropes, but as he reached he was wrenched back, and tapped. *** Frankie Perez didn’t look like he believed it, but sunk to his knees in joy when he was given the title (C-). Overall Rating D+

1,015 saw a new champion crowned! Frankie Perez is the American with the most all round talent on the indy circuit, and deserves his crown. It’s just a pity the Ultimate Phoenix / Randall Hopkirk match that preceded it probably knocked the overall rating down a notch. Oh, two new champions. Almost forgot that Bulldozer Brandon Smith won the Extreme Title after Ota attacked Steve Gumble. *** Skull DeBones is rumoured to be on the way out of SWF. *** Burning EXILE has gone from FWE with his contract up. Don’t be surprised if the Freelancer is back one day. *** Tana the Mighty is going back to Japan – touring with WLW. *** I ask Hoshino if he wants to sign a new contract. I’ll let you guess what he said. *** Frankie Perez does get an extension. Managed to treble his salary as well. Perhaps waiting till after I put the belt on him wasn’t the best of plans. *** Joey Poison also inks a new contract with FWE. *** Eric Eisen puts over Zimmy Bumfhole on the radio. Shouldn’t be long to the Main Event with his skills and contacts. *** The Natural is the latest NOTBPW man to put on an A rated match, with Sean McFly. *** SWF are back on TV with Christian Faith defending his title against Jack Bruce. *** Rumours are flying around that Ultimate Phoenix is to leave MPWF. *** ROF start to make cuts as they flirt with the red, and the big cut is UK Dragon.
Announced for FWE Presents… Invasion: Roderick Remus vs Randall Hopkirk Frankie Perez (c) vs Eisaku Hoshino for the FWE Warrior Title
Week 2: *** The latest American Independent show hits C-! Boone, Oxford, Phunk and Bailey were the four men who proved there worth to onlookers. *** Peter Valentine leaves USPW, who he believes he has outgrown. I’m not so sure. *** Mean Jean Cattley is the last original member of FWE to sign a new contract. *** Another SWF PPV, another World Heavyweight Title shot for booker Eric Eisen. Zimmy’s new found friendship brings him a match with Jack Bruce, which he loses.
