4C: A Trip Underground

OOC: The GCG diary is not dead - yet. GCG itself is on life support. Here's another diary, this time with a little more story and a lot more action, hopefully. And so it begins... For those of you who don't know who I am, my name is Derek Robinson. I tried to be a wrestler, I really did. I worked as many dates as I could, but I just couldn't break through. Some people called me bland, some called me boring, but what you sure as hell couldn't call me is lazy. And that might very well help me in the situation I find myself in now. It just so happens that the last match I wrestled before I decided to try something different was up in Canada for CGC. I was being fed to Shooter Sean Deeley in a dark match before an episode of Title Bout Wrestling, which I was used to. What I wasn't used to was the way he tied me up in knots with various submission maneuvers the whole match. He ended it with a stiff German suplex which rattled me to the core. When I got back to the locker room, changed back into street clothes, and started watching the rest of the show, I decided that this was the end, for the time being, of my active wrestling career. Fate must have been smiling on me. Actually, he wasn't even in the room. But someone who will be very important in this next phase of my career did walk in - Troy Winner. Well, I don't know how long he was standing there because there was a desk between the door and me, but eventually he stepped out from behind it and started talking to me. He told me that he had heard I had a good head for "the business" and wanted to talk to me about a job opportunity. Naturally I was interested by this, as I had no reason not to be. He told me that 4C was in the beginning stages of looking for a new head booker. Their current one, Joey Poison, wasn't going anywhere - yet. His star was rising on the Canadian wrestling scene, which was suprising considering the state of said scene right now. Troy wanted to guard against him leaving for one of the Canadian Big Two, so he was looking for new blood. Before I even really thought about it, the words "I'll take it!" came out of my mouth. Troy seemed momentarily taken aback, but after a few moments of rubbing his chin, he reached up, took my hand and shook it. He then said, "Congrats, kid. You've got yourself a new job. Be in Niagara Falls at the Wild Mushroom tomorrow at 7 p.m.!" He then walked out of the room and I scrambled out of the door not that far behind him. I scrounged together all of the money I had and went to the nearest train station. I bought one ticket to Niagara Falls, with thoughts of running a promotion dancing in my head.

After getting some rest on the train, I knew what I wanted to do with 4C. I was going to make it the destination for every hungry wrestler in North America. Everyone that wanted to make a name for themselves could come to 4C and get their fair shot. When I got to Niagara Falls and found my way to the Wild Mushroom, I saw Troy waiting for me at a table. He was watching a Maple Leafs game on the big screen and didn't even notice me slide into the seat at first. He swung around finally when I cleared my throat. Troy apologized, then asked me what my plans were. I told him of my ideas and he liked it, liked it a lot. It wasnt't that different than 4C's current philosophy, but he seemed relieved I wasn't planning anything crazy, like signing The Toronto Terror and pushing him to the moon. He told me what he expected of me and nothing really seemed that out of the question. He impressed upon me that for all of 2007, if we dropped below $20,000 in the bank, it was my ass that would cash that check. Also, he had no interest in anyone older than 35 or anyone who didn't have a good grasp of Basic wrestling. After leaving me with that knowledge and giving me a key to 4C Headquarters, which were in an office complex not too far away, he left the bar. After he left, I cobbled together on a napkin a list of wrestlers I wanted to approach about jobs. I didn't know for sure how many of them fit Troy's guidelines, but I'd call around once I got to my office tomorrow. When I did arrive the next day and get acclimated to my new digs, I put in call to everyone on my list and waited for them to get back to me. Also, I saw that our first show on the schedule, which was already in place, is called Cage Rage. What better way to kick off the year than with every match ... in a cage? Hell, it seems like a good idea now, but we'll see for sure as we get closer. The rush of my new job was tempered by Darryl Devine calling me up and telling me that CGC, SWF, and CZCW were all in hot pursuit of him. I told him to do what was best for him. I know the life of a wrestler, so he needs to get paid while he can, before it's too late. Who am I to begrudge him that?

Over the next few days, I went to the office everyday, finalizing my plans and waiting for everyone I called to get back to me, one way or another. As I was doing that, I watched what was taking place in the wrestling world, such as down in USPW, Corporal Doom took the National Title off of Jim Force in a match which I'm sure caused many to lose consciousness. The first one to call back was Koshiro Ino, who told me in broken English that he could make more money elsewhere. No big deal, as he was a shot in the dark anyway. More calls poured in and I signed most of them. They were all pay-per-appearance deals, so I figured we could rotate people in and out of shows and keep things as fresh as possible. Also, I called up Cliff Anderson down at CZCW and asked him if he would be interested in a working agreement. I had seen some of their tapes and it looked like a lot of the same ideas that I had for 4C. He told me he'd get back to me. The next day, I took one more look at the roster and attempted to plug a few more holes. Cliff did call me back and agreed to the deal, so we might have a small CZCW presence at Cage Rage. A few more days and we'd be ready to go public with the roster and a few matches for Cage Rage. ... Or so I thought. The morning before I was going to set up a small press conference, I got a call from Darryl Devine, a call I should have expected. He got his big break, as SWF had just signed him up. I do appreciate him calling and telling me, but this certainly did leave me in a little bit of a lurch. He was going to be a big part of Cage Rage, and that fact caused me to decide to move up the event to this coming Monday (Week 3) instead of its original date (Week 4).

Cage Rage Press Conference Hoping I could get the press conference over and done with before the Devine news broke, I convened it at the Fallsview Hotel & Casino. Terry Smith, the voice of 4C, would do the honors as MC. At the head table with him were all of our champions: 4C Champion Joey Poison, sporting a tie-dyed suit coat; Tag Team Champions Phenomenal Excess, in matching sharp-looking black suits; and Hardcore Champion Brett Fraser, in his finest flannel shirt and blue jeans combo. I guess I should be happy he took off that damn hat... Anyway, while standing in front of a Cage Rage backdrop, Terry proceeded to tell everyone in attendance that all four of these gentlemen would be in action at Cage Rage. Joey Poison was going to defend his 4C Championship against Jacob Jett, who was in the front row, as always accompanied by the lovely Katie Cameron. Phenomenal Excess would defend their Tag Team Championships against Thug Life, who were sitting in the back row, clad in their usual all-black ring attire. Finally, Brent Fraser would have to be on his hiking boot clad toes, as he would face one of the newcomers to 4C that were sitting in the second row. These newcomers consist of: Rav Umaga, who wrestles in Japan as Rhino Umaga; Jeremiah Moose, who wrestles in CZCW; Trauma, a feared psychopath who didn't want to sit quite still in his seat; C.H. Threepwood, who was sporting an official Acid Fan Club T-shirt and khakis; Justin Sensitive, who was mugging for every camera he saw; and Brent Prince, who was last seen in Shane Sneer's SCCW. All rose when they were called on, except Prince, who was apparently taken with the beauty sitting next to him, who goes by the name of Seduction and just so happens to be Darryl Devine's girlfriend. Devine didn't take too kindly to this, as he was sitting towards the back, and walked up to confront Prince. Prince didn't back down one bit, and even endured a slap from Devine. Prince took the slap, then gave Devine one of his own. Sensing the tension in the room, Smith wisely called the presser to an end.
Dude that is the bst thing I've seen in forever what did you do to make it.
Just Windows Movie Maker, that's all. It did take me some time to get the pictures and the music synchronized, but other than that, it's easier than it looks.

4C Presents ... Cage Rage! From Windsor Arena Hall in Ontario Attendance: 175 people Announcers: Terry Smith & Derek Robinson Seeing as though this building can fit nearly 300 people in it, I was disappointed to see only around 175 people as I took my place at the color commentary table ringside. As the dark match started, I looked around, wondering if the people in attendance would like what I had put together for them. Ah ... the first match as a booker... Warren Technique vs. Nomad I am sure glad this was a dark match, because the crowd couldn't wait for Warren to go away. They crapped over everything he did, even though he's one of the more fundamentally solid guys we have in 4C. Nomad put up a decent fight in this match, but Technique was too much for him in the end. He dispatched him with a complete shot-like move he calls the Technique Knock Out. 4C Tag Team Championships Match: Thug Life vs. Phenomenal Excess (c) Our first actual match was Duberry & P.E. vs. Slim & Killah, and they stunk up the joint pretty bad. Duberry and Killah were completely done by the end of the match, leaving Phenomenal E. and Slim to carry most of the action that was going on. Phenomenal ended it all with a spectacular Tumbleweed Legdrop off the top of the cage onto Slim V for the win. Next up was a backstage segment, which saw Brady Prince talking Seduction, who didn't seem to mind the attention, as she was playing with her hair ... well, seductively. She was so into Brady that she didn't see Darryl standing almost off-camera. Darryl stormed off toward the ring as we cut away. Loser Leaves 4C Match: Darryl Devine (w/ Seduction) vs. Brady Prince This rivalry over Seduction came to a head already, as Devine is on his way to SWF. Devine tried to do his best to put over Prince, but these two guys simply don't click. They were good enough to extract something semi-respectable, but they're not miracle workers. I was hoping this match would lift things, but it effectively killed the crowd. Not even a Prince Super Bomb off the top rope to put down Devine could appease the crowd tonight. Having kicked Darryl Devine out of the company, Brady called Seduction into the ring and the two of them celebrated for the fans that actually cared, which I may or may not have been able to count on one hand. 4C Hardcore Championship Match: Brett Fraser (c) vs. Trauma Brett Fraser was out first, as his opponent was unknown. The crowd didn't like him too much, but that was nothing compared to the you-know-what storm they had ready for Trauma. They were all over him the whole match and did not let up one bit. Some evasive maneuvers from Terry and I were hopefully enough to make this seem a bit better for the DVD release, but the 175 in attendance would not have put these two out if this was an inferno match. Fraser got the win to retain his title with a lariat he calls the Twelve Gauge. Next up was a short interview segment, which saw Terry call Jacob Jett, as always accompanied by Katie Cameron, next. He asked him what he thought about his main event match with Joey Poison later on. Jacob had this to say... Well, Terry, it's like this. Everyone in attendance, everyone watching this on DVD, knows that I'm the reason people come to 4C. That's not a boast, it's the truth. Jacob Jett is ready for take-off, and Joey, you're just standing on the runway. Needless to say, Joey Poison did not take too kindly to these words, and came out to confront Jacob. He didn't say anything that the microphone picked up, but said something to Jacob and then held up the 4C Championship for everyone to see that he is the champion until someone takes it away from him. Sayeed Ali vs. Barry Kingman This match has been simmering for months, ever since all three of the 187's attacked Barry Kingman. Kingman was interested in getting some retribution, but on his terms, in the ring. He tied Ali in knots the whole match, even inventively using the cage a few times to soften him up before locking in a submission maneuver. On one occassion, Kingman utilized just a simple slingshot, which catapulted Ali into the cage and busted him open. This seemed to slightly weaken Ali and make him easy pickings for a quick roll-up. Ali could not kick out and Kingman had the victory in a match that was not bad, but not as good as Jett & Poison's interaction previously. Barry Kingman was celebrating his win in the ring, when Slim V and Hardcore Killah stormed the ring. They had wirecutters with them, so they made it through the cage quickly. Slim, Killah, & Ali commenced a bloody beatdown on Kingman, complete with grinding his face into the cage and attempting to stab him with the wirecutters. Fortunately, they weren't able to pull that off, as Nomad stormed to ringside and ran off the 187's with a chair. They are tough when it's 3-on-1, but when the odds are evened a bit, they bail. Nomad tends to Kingman as 4C officials come out to repair the cage. 4C Championship Match: Joey Poison (c) vs. Jacob Jett (w/ Katie Cameron) Joey and Jacob really tried to put on a long, exciting match, but they just didn't have it in them. The match was laid out too long, and they didn't quite know how to fill the middle with enough excitement to get by. It didn't help either that they didn't quite click to begin with. On a positive note, Jacob showed a little more fire in his offense than usual tonight, showing a willingness to brawl a bit more than he has in the past. Even so, this match was an exteme disappointment, which we might not get a chance to put on again, seeing as though NOTBPW is hot on the trail of Jacob Jett. Poision took the win with his Antidote Web cradle after a stiff DDT in the middle of the ring. FINAL RATING: Frankly, I'm shocked that the rating was that high. Technique, Fraser, and Trauma all caused the crowd to flip out and the matches I thought would bring the house down suffered from a lack of chemistry. Well, we'll try to do better next time, if the midget doesn't take out my knees before next month...

Warren Technique defeated Nomad in 13:45 by pinfall with the Technique Knock Out.
Phenomenal Excess defeated Thug Life in 17:46 when Phenomenal E defeated Slim V by pinfall with a Tumbleweed Legdrop. Phenomenal Excess make defense number 1 of their 4C Tag Team Championship titles.
Brady Prince defeated Darryl Devine in 18:55 by pinfall with a Super Bomb.
Brett Fraser defeated Trauma in 7:50 by pinfall with a Twelve Gauge. Brett Fraser makes defense number 1 of his 4C Hardcore Championship title.
Barry Kingman defeated Sayeed Ali in 16:45 by pinfall.
Joey Poison defeated Jacob Jett in 20:58 by pinfall with an Antidote Web.

Big Changes for 4C This month has been large for many 4C employees, former and current. You all know about Darryl Devine falling to the Evil Eisen Empire, but another development has happened - the Stones have stolen Jacob Jett! Not completely out of the blue, but two of my brightest stars have been stolen right out from under me. Also, there has been a new addition to the Canadian wrestling scene, CWWF (Canadian Women's Wrestling Federation). Perhaps trying to fill the void left by Jacob leaving, Katie Cameron has signed on with them, as has our ref, Andy Gordy. Luckily, those deals are only pay-per-appearance. We've had to dig down deep and find some new stars for 4C, and some of them will debut this upcoming month at 4C Presents ... X Factor! The card will be posted later this afternoon...

4C Presents ... X Factor! All AAW had to do was hang on and win and he would get more cheers than Warren would, hands down. AAW did get the win after he countered the Technique Knock Out into a Fujiwara armbar. Acid The crowd had plenty of vitriole left for C.H. Acid, and they let him have it the whole match. Comparatively speaking, Brady got off easy with the crowd. Along with Brady was Alanis "Seduction" Springfield, Darryl Devine's girlfriend, who left with Brady after Cage Rage. The crowd didn't start out too high, but this match brought them even lower. Brady got the win with a Super Bomb to end this particular train wreck. Moose and Sensitive were signed before Cage Rage but didn't make their way onto the card, and Hayes was signed only a week or so ago from Japan. Hayes was the class of this match, as his PGHW and INSPIRE training showed through a lot. Moose and Sensitive were game and the crowd didn't hate them, but they were definitely outclassed. Hayes took the match with his Slick Trick spinning fallaway slam. Next out was Sayeed Ali, who cussed out Phenomenal Excess up and down. Here's what he said, word for word. "Listen up, everyone here knows that Phenomenal Excess are nothing more than two giant p*****s. My boys Killah and Slim are going to tear your damn heads off and **** down your necks! I suggest you guys just stay back there and give your belts to them, because that way, you'll save yourselves from walking out of here in body casts!" This, of course, brought out Duberry & Phenomenal E, to answer Ali's boasts. Killah and Slim then stormed down the entrance ramp and blindsided them with chairs. Killah and Slim then rolled the two into the ring. At that time, ref Andy Gordy ran back down to ringside and rang the bell for the upcoming match. Nomad vs. Cameron Vessey Out next was Nomad, who played the hero last month, saving Barry Kingman from a 3-on-1 beatdown by the 187's. His receipt for that was facing "The Second Generation Superstar" Cameron Vessey in his first 4C match. Vessey strutted around the ring like he owned it, but his actual wrestling left a bit to be desired tonight. Maybe the general tone of the show put him off a bit... Nomad carried much of the action, and showed why he may be one to watch in future months and years. However, Nomad's actions last week would come back to haunt him, as Sayeed Ali ran down and pulled him out of the ring as Vessey distracted Andy Gordy. Ali laid him out with the P.G.H. Driver outside the ring, then rolled him back in. Vessey, wanting to put his own stamp on things, scooped Nomad up and brought him down again with the Vessey Driver, his uncle Bryan's spinning Death Valley Driver, for the win. After the match, Vessey, who was noticeably tired, said that if everyone else in 4C was as easy to beat as Nomad, then he could beat anyone put in front of him. Vessey said that anyone who wanted to get "a Second Generation asskicking" can come and see him before next month's show and sign their life away. Too Hot (w/ Osiris) vs. Canadian Dragon First out was Too Hot, who danced his way to the ring with his statuesque manager, the former model Osiris. As he was doing his pre-match breakdancing routine, Canadian Dragon ran out and ambushed him, showing himself to be a true dastardly villain. This was the most fire that Dragon showed the whole match, as he spent most of it playing the chicken-you-know-what heel as Too Hot gained momentum. As Too Hot started to string moves together, Osiris got really into the action on the outside and showed great fire cheering on her man. Unfortunately for Too Hot, all Dragon needed to do to stem the tide was crotch Too Hot as he was going for a flying splash from the top rope. Dragon threw Too Hot off, then came crashing down onto him with an elbow drop he calls the Kamloops Krunch for the win. Dragon and Too Hot meshed well, and we might see this matchup again in the future. Next, I stood up at the announce table and announced that Phenomenal E was the next contender for Joey Poison's 4C Championship, and he would cash in tonight in a ladder match! This annoucement brought Phenomenal E out to a round of cheers from the crowd. Unfortunately for E, it also brought out Poison, who ambushed E from behind with a double axehandle, then rolled him into the ring. Poison got the ladder from below the ring, slid it in, then proceeded to beat Phenomenal E senseless with it. As Poison posed with the belt over a broken E, the crowd booed with disapproval. Barry Kingman vs. Sayeed Ali Ali and Kingman have no love lost, especially after last month's beatdown inside the steel cage and the 187's assaults on Phenomenal Excess and Nomad earlier. Seeing as though the numbers game was stacked against Kingman, it's no suprise he didn't leave X Factor victorious. Slim V & Hardcore Killah came out and distracted the apparently easily distractable Andy Gordy long enough for Sayeed Ali to take a blackjack out of his pants and nail Kingman with it. Kingman stumbled backwards as Ali stuffed it back in his pants and then drove Kingman to the canvas with the G.B.H. Driver for the win to even the two. 4C Hardcore Championship Match: Dog Fyte vs. Brett Fraser (c) Brett Fraser survived Trauma last month, but he was not so lucky this month. His opponent, the debuting Dog Fyte, came in and fought with a fire and energy that we haven't seen from many people yet this year. He definitely dwarfed Fraser's popularity, as the crowd didn't really want to see him wrestle at all. It didn't even really matter than the two didn't click that much, because this match served its purpose - get the Hardcore Championship off of Brett Fraser. Dog Fyte ended it all with a T-Bone Suplex. That being said, E put on one hell of a show anyway, performing his usual death defying stunts, including a spectuacular cannonball dive off of the ladder into the front row. However, Poison used some cunning to eventually win the match. He duped E into going for his Tumbleweed Legdrop off of the ladder, then moved at the last second. E crashed to the canvas and was barely moving by the time Poison scampered up the ladder and retreived the belt for the win. So guys, how am I doing so far? I'm not used to getting these types of grades, so it's a bit jarring to me, but it's 4C, not GCG. If I can increase my popularity in Canada, which I haven't yet, the grades will start going up accordingly. Also, I have my fair share of guys (Warren Technique, Brett Fraser, C.H. Acid, Trauma) who are getting go-the-hell-away heat. Whether or not they stick around much longer is a matter I'll have to tackle soon. I hope those of you that are reading it like so far, and for those of you that aren't impressed, I'll try harder to deliver something substantial.

You're going to keep getting these grades but here are some things. 1) Dog Fyte is too big for the Hardcore title and you don't have any lower card guys with good enough Hardcore Skills to hold it. Fire Brett he sucks something awful and retire the hardcore title for now. 2) Sayeed Ali can put on good matches great if he has the right chemistry. I can see Ali vs Fyte pulling a D+ maybe a C- with pretty good to great chemistry. Use that as the croner stone of your shows with an on going feud, 3) You hired Rhino Umaga but I haven't seen him on any of your shows. He has the skills to help your company grow so use him even if you haev to team him with some one. Maybe Nomad or Trauma against Thug Life. Things are going well for you so far don't be too disappointed by the ratings.

As for Ali, there's one more match in store with him and Kingman, then I'll transition him into a different feud that hopefully has some potential. Umaga is a tough case, as GCG runs their shows on Mondays also. It's not the big of a deal for me to switch my shows, so that will probably be what happens.

4C Presents ... Final Fight Tuesday, Week 4, March 2007 Windsor Arena Hall (Ontario) Attendance: 175 people Announcers: Terry Smith & Derek Robinson Jeremiah Moose vs. Air Attack Weasel This match was a kinetic, frenetic mess. Moose may not be cut out for 4C, or maybe it's just because no one knows who is he outside of CZCW's stomping grounds down south. Either way, he'll have to step up his game soon or risk the same fate as Brett Fraser and C.H. Acid (Threepwood), namely the unemployment line. Either way, AAW ended the match with a spectacular flying dropkick to Moose as he was laying in the corner next to the one he was on. I've seen some people call it a Van Terminator, but I don't quite know what they're talking about. The actual show opened with Cameron Vessey mid-ring, looking as smug and as can be. He informed all of the wonderful people in Windsor that this was the "Second Generation Asskicking Open Challenge" and anyone in the locker room was more than welcome to come out and try to beat him. When Rav Umaga walked through the curtain, it was possible to quite literally see all of the color drain out of Cameron's face, along with a large gulp as he thought about what might very well happen to him. Cameron began to pace and feverishly rub his hair as Rav simply said "It's on." into his microphone, then began a slow walk to the ring, giving Cameron ample time to think about what was about to happen to him. Cameron Vessey vs. Rav Umaga To say Cameron did his best to avoid the angry Samoan across the ring from him would be an understatement. Vessey ran all around the ring, but Umaga did not waver in simply standing in the middle of the ring and staring a hole through Vessey. Umaga did have to drag Vessey back into the ring before he got himself counted out, and barely got him in before Andy Gordy got to 10. Umaga started in brutalizing Vessey as much as possible, seeing as though Vessey was squirming like a fish out of water. Umaga finally got Vessey worn down enough that he could target him with the Rhino Charge and end Vessey's night with an exclamation point. Out next was Nomad, who had the upcoming 4C Tag Team Championships match on his mind. He said everyone he's seen the last few weeks was asking him who his mystery partner was, and he'd end the suspense right now. His mystery partner was none other than... Dragon looked like a true superstar as he quickly made his way down to the ring and flipped over the top rope. Nomad and he shared a quick handshake and the two of them prepared for the upcoming match. Thug Life was not about to lose their titles this early in this current reign and cut every corner needed to hold onto their straps. Referee Andy Gordy would have needed three sets of eyes to keep track of all of the rulebreaking from Killah & Slim V. The match finally ended when Gordy saw Killah take the slapjack that they used last month on Barry Kingman out of his pants and wail Nomad in the head with it, causing Gordy to call for the DQ and allowing Thug Life to hold onto their titles. After Thug Life makes their way to the locker room, Snap Dragon and Nomad are still in the ring. Dragon looks none to happy with Nomad for allowing Thug Life to win by DQ. He even starts poking Nomad in the chest to make his point. Nomad looks confused, as he is still woozy from the slapjack shot. Snap Dragon disgustedly leaves the ring, and Nomad follows behind, still asking what exactly Dragon was so angry about. They made it down to the ring and started dancing, but the festivities were brought a screeching halt by Trauma, who came through the crowd to attack Too Hot from behind. Osiris gave out a terrified screech, then dove out of the ring. Trauma absolutely manhandled Too Hot for what seemed like an eternity, until finally ending the onslaught with a huge powerbomb he calls the Blunt Force Trauma. The crowd gasped in horror as Trauma got a table out from underneath the ring. He slid it into the ring and set it up, seemingly to drive Too Hot through it. Osiris, to her credit, risked herself by dragging Too Hot out of the ring. Trauma, not phased at all by this development, took a look at Too Hot outside the ring, then jumped through the table all by his lonesome, as the crowd sat in perplexed silence. He didn't need Thug Life to help him out, as he was more than capable of doing the damage by himself. Kingman looked helpless in this match, almost resigned to his fate. He tried a comeback towards the end, but it was listless at best, and Ali ended Kingman's sad attempt with a G.B.H. Driver to punctuate the carnage. Being the excessively poor sports they are, Ali called out Thug Life and they danced around Kingman, who was still barely conscious after the huge G.B.H. Unfortunately for Casey, his best was nowhere near good enough to stop Dog Fyte, who retained his Hardcore Championship with another huge T-Bone Suplex. Casey did his best and meshed well with Dog Fyte, but his fate was pretty much sealed once the bell rang. As Dog Fyte rolled Casey out of the ring with his foot, Terry Smith cautiously made his way into the ring and asked Dog Fyte about what his thoughts were concerning 4C. Dog Fyte began laughing again and said that it was too easy to get a title belt in his first match in the company and said he just might want to do it again. He then put everyone on notice that he was the "top dog" in 4C now and everyone else are just pretenders. Duberry Excess vs. Canadian Dragon Seeing as though Phenomenal E's star has eclipsed his, Duberry has been relegated to a thrown together match against Canadian Dragon, who beat Too Hot fairly handily last month. Dragon showed why he is higher on the totem pole, as he put on a clinic against Excess, finally finishing him off with the Kamloops Krunch. 4C Championship: Phenomenal E vs. Joey Poison (c) Joey and E put on another great match, at least for 4C standards. E was his usual jaw-dropping self, and Poison was his usual snake-in-the-grass self, cutting off E's offense at every turn with his underhanded tactics. These underhanded tactics sealed E's fate, as Poison leveled E with a DDT, then used the ropes to get the tainted win. Joey celebrated very, very smugly, but then turned his attentions back to E, who was still on the ground feeling the effects of the DDT. Poison stood E back up and laid him out with the 4C Championship belt. He then grabbed E by the head and proceeded to lay in some stiff punches to E's already bleeding head. Who was going to stop Poison? None other than the debuting Black Eagle, that's who! Black Eagle ran down to ringside with a chair and fended off Poison, who cowered out of the ring like the dog that he is. The show ended with Eagle tending to E as he motioned the medics to come out from the locker room. FINAL RATING: Thank God, we've finally gotten out of the E's. This was a decent card, and the people in attendance didn't seem to mind as much as it seemed all of the angles that we presented, and the Poison/Phenomenal E match didn't hurt either. We've got some decent storylines going into the next few months, and I may finally have a hold onto what to do with these gentlemen...

After 3 months of shows, I'm at $59,000 of the original $80,000, which is not bad, all things considered. Even so, I am looking at ways to lessen expenses. These first couple months have been kind of "throw everything against the wall and see what sticks". Now that I have a better handle on who my stars are and what they can do, I think I can pare things down and focus a bit better. Also, I'm considering lessening the length of my shows from 2 hours to 1.5 hours. I do appreciate any and all thoughts though.

4C Presents ... Wrestling Showcase Monday, Week 4, April 2007 Windsor Arena Hall (Ontario) Attendance: 162 people Announcers: Terry Smith & Derek Robinson Justin Sensitive vs. Jeremiah Moose This month's dark match, as usual when we have one, left something to be desired. Justin seemed off his game tonight a lot, and Jeremiah tries, but he just doesn't have the "it" factor. Justin was the better man, and got the win in 6:35 with a springboard moonsault he calls the New Sensation. Next up was William Hayes hyping his match later on, and he appears to be embracing his "Slick Willy"-ness, now as he is wearing a loud flowery shirt and blue polyester bell bottoms. He informs Too Hot that the "Slickness" is ready to take 4C to new heights, and he's either gonna party with him or get outta the way, daddy! Next were Nomad and Snap Dragon, who look to be back on the same page after their disagreement last month. Nomad said that he and Snap Dragon are newly focused and that with them on the same page, Thug Life doesn't have a chance. Snap Dragon didn't say anything the whole interview, but he still is carrying himself better and better each time he comes out, especially feeding off Nomad's charisma. Still, they're not quite over enough to really bring the house down, yet. We started the show with Joey Poison standing mid-ring, with the 4C Championship slung confidently over his shoulder. Poison acknowledged that a lot of people have tried to take his spotlight in the past few months - Jacob Jett, Phenomenal E, and most recently Black Eagle. Tonight, he was going to introduce a solution to that problem. With this man in his employ, no one will ever think about hogging all his glory ever again. That man? PAUL STEADYFAST! Steadyfast comes out and shakes hands with Poison while the crowd boos this development heavily. You have to be willing to get down and dirty and bend some rules just to keep up. And again this month, Nomad and Snap Dragon were not up to the task. Slim & Killah were always two steps ahead with their cheating and using Andy Gordy's positioning against him. The finish came at 10:48 when Killah hit Dragon in the back of the head with the slapjack while Gordy's back was turned. This caused Dragon to stumble right into a Murder One vertebreaker, allowing Thug Life to retain their titles one more month. Their first test was against Canadian Dragon & Air Attack Weasel. AAW was sporting a different look tonight, as he is now embracing his tennis playing past. He had on tennis shorts and what definitely looked like regular tennis shoes. AAW and Dragon dominated this match against the new formed Excess/Prince team. AAW in particular looked really impressive. He won the match for his team at the 9:36 mark with the same cross-ring dropkick that he won his match with last month, that he is apparently calling the Crosscourt Winner. That made for a few interesting spots during the match when Too Hot and "The Slickness" had a dance-off. Too Hot would start breakdancing, which would prompt some disco stylings from Hayes. Only Andy Gordy could get these two back on track. In the end, "Slick Willy" was better, as he made Too Hot fall in defeat to his Slick Trick spinning fallaway slam in 8:37. Dog Fyte was just too much for him, as apparently he packs more of a punch than a table. Dog Fyte got some help though, as Paul Steadyfast ran out and draped Trauma's neck over the top rope, which made him easy pickings for the huge T-Bone suplex that Dog Fyte is now calling the Dog Pound at the 3:32 mark. Our erstwhile champ, Joey Poison, was out again next, this time promising another surprise for everyone in attendance, he would now introduce everyone to his tag partner tonight, someone who was mean enough, sadistic enough, and insane enough to stand in the same ring with him and be called his teammate. That man is no other than the man still in the ring ... DOG FYTE! Poison explains to Dog Fyte than he sent out Steadyfast to end the match quickly because he knows Dog would have enjoyed stretching out Trauma's beatdown too much and he wanted him nice and fresh for their match tonight, against Phenomenal E and Black Eagle. The two men leave the ring together as the crowd has yet another reason to hate Joey Poison. Out next was everyone's least favorite second generation star, Cameron Vessey. He said that Rav Umaga was scared to face him again, so he booked himself a date in Japan tonight. In his place, Vessey was yet again, out of the kindness and goodness of his heart, going to give a rub to anyone who wanted to have it on their resume that they lost to Cameron Vessey, the greatest Vessey of them all. Yet again, Vessey was in for a surprise, as the man who walked down the aisle had never been seen before in a 4C ring. Cameron Vessey vs. Donnie J The man who answered Vessey's challenge was indeed none other than current CZCW Coastal Zone Champion Donnie J. Donnie and Cameron had a great match, hands down the best thus far, as the two meshed styles beautifully. Donnie matched Cameron hold for hold, as he is a greatly underrated technical worker. In the end, it was Donnie's edge in high-flying expertise that doomed Vessey, as he feel to a Death On Miami Beach frog splash in 14:14. Warren Technique vs. Barry Kingman This match pitted two men against each other that are kind of lost in 4C right now, flailing for some momentum. The crowd has turned against Technique, a two-time 4C champion, and Barry Kingman has been humiliated by his inability to stand up to the constant assaults from the 187's which came to a head last month, where they symbolically danced around him while he lay beaten on the canvas. This month was no different for Kingman, as he was witness to Technique yet again getting a ton of grief from the fans, but still having enough to beat him with a Technique Knock Out at the 13:39 mark. After coming to, Kingman just sat in the ring for a few moments, with a blank look on his face, before finally dragging himself to his feet and walking part way down the aisle. He only got part way down because Sayeed Ali was too busy laughing at him as he made his way to the ring for his next match. Kingman didn't even get in Ali's face, he just continued walking to the back with a dejected look on his face. Ali still was enjoying himself though, as he badmouthed all of the fans on his way down the rest of the entranceway. Bob Casey vs. Sayeed Ali Next up was an easy test for Ali, kind of like seeing if you're smarter than a fifth grader, as he was up against designated all-time tomato can Bob Casey. Ali beat poor Bob from proverbial pillar to proverbial post the whole match, then mercifully ended it with a large G.B.H. Driver to punctuate his utter destruction of Casey at the 13:35 mark. w/ Black Eagle & Phenomenal E vs. Dog Fyte & Joey Poison (w/ Paul Steadyfast) Poison and Fyte are definitely formidable by themselves, but together, they were tripping all over each other this match. They were both too focused on beating up E and Eagle, and were not working well at all as a team. Still, they had the numbers game on their side, as Poison's new bodyguard Paul Steadyfast was at ringside to glare at them when they even thought about throwing Fyte or Poison to ringside the few chances they got to do so. Finally, E threw caution to the wind and went for his signature flip dive to the outside onto Poison, who Steadyfast was tending to. Steadyfast moved Poison out of the way, caught E, and dropped him headfirst onto the guard rail surrounding the ring, which knocked E out cold. Poison, satisfied that E, had been taken out, didn't even bother getting back into the ring and Andy Gordy counted both teams out to register a double countout at the 14:55 mark. Of course, Black Eagle came to E's aid, but at that point it was 3-on-1. Eagle was quickly knocked down to the ground and then thrown into the ring. Steadyfast was first, as he scooped up Eagle, then floored him with his signature Slingshot Suplex. Next was Dog Fyte, who Dog Pound-ed Black Eagle through the mat. Lastly, the champ got his shot in, as he nailed Eagle with an inverted facelock elbow drop he calls the Lethal Injection. As the show ended, E was still out cold outside the ring and Eagle faced the same fate inside the ring as the three villains celebrated over Eagle. FINAL RATING: The Donnie J/Vessey match was a great pleasant suprise, as it was just thrown together after I realized Umaga would be in Japan for the night. There was disappointment though, as Fyte and Poison don't work at all as a team. Luckily, Steadyfast is now in the mix also, so maybe there's some life in that. A small step backwards from last month, but still not an abject failure by any means.

Interesting development putting Poison and Dog Fyte together, it's a shame they didn't mesh well. I'm also very curious to see where the angle with Kingman and Ali is going. No worries about the E rating again, even those ratings steadily increase your popularity with 4C. :)
