[quote=Mtm2k6;405589] [B]Kinnojo Horri[/B] vs Narihira Arita - [I]I've forgotten who Arita is, so Horri.[/I][/quote] Arita is a randomnly generated worker. He's a young lion that came through the Empire Combat Academy. He's technically sound and has potential to be at-least one-day be able to make it to the mid-card level. Putting him in with good workers is only going to help him improve.

The effort was there, but for some reason things didn't quite click together and it further points out especially in Scorpion's and to some extent Miyazaki's case, why their singles pushes never really got of the ground. Greg Keith shouldn't really come in for that analysis yet, but as naturally talented an in-ring performer as he is is still learning how to gel with the varying styles he will be faced with on the BHOTWG roster. The closing moments of the match saw Greg Keith reverse a Brainbuster attempt from Golden Scorpion into the G-Popper , but the cover was broken up by Shingen Miyazaki (who was earlier sent out of the ring with a drop-kick from Scorpion) with a Shining Wizard. Miyazaki then lifted up a dazed Greg Keith onto his shoulders and he got The Pacific Express a shot at the Tag Titles via the Good Night (Fireman's Carry Drop into a Knee Strike). Horri was in the mood, but Arita showed a good deal of resilliance even if he wasn't really coming back with much in the way of offence. It was no suprise when Horri finally put things away with the Destiny Bomb. Last month started with a similar Gauntlet and was a big success, except that one had 15 entrants, instead of just 10 this time round. [B]Entrants 1 and 2:[/B] [IMG]http://s137.photobucket.com/albums/q236/Tigerkinney/th_MokuamiMaita_alt1.jpg[/IMG] [IMG]http://s137.photobucket.com/albums/q236/Tigerkinney/th_Miyamae.jpg[/IMG] It was P.I.N.K versus Silver Dragon Feet right at the start of this match as Mokuami Maita and Miyamae were entrants one and two, there was no holding back right away, as both stable representatives have been in enough multi-man battles against each other recently to have built up a real dislike for one another. [B]Entrant 3:[/B] [IMG]http://s137.photobucket.com/albums/q236/Tigerkinney/th_SteveFlash_alt.jpg[/IMG] Steve Flash is in next and he goes to help Miyamae, who seems to be being the gaining the advantage with Mokuami Maita. They dump Maita over the rope but not to the floor and the P.I.N.K man comes back with a missile drop-kick that knocks down both Miyamae and Flash. [B]Entrants 4 to 8:[/B] [CENTER][IMG]http://s137.photobucket.com/albums/q236/Tigerkinney/th_SUKI.jpg[/IMG] [IMG]http://s137.photobucket.com/albums/q236/Tigerkinney/th_EagleKawasawa.jpg[/IMG] [IMG]http://s137.photobucket.com/albums/q236/Tigerkinney/th_HellMonkeyB.jpg[/IMG] [/CENTER] [CENTER][IMG]http://s137.photobucket.com/albums/q236/Tigerkinney/th_EijiHamacho.jpg[/IMG] [IMG]http://s137.photobucket.com/albums/q236/Tigerkinney/th_Venom.jpg[/IMG][/CENTER] Next couple of minutes see's the ring filling up with no one yet to be eliminated with SUKI, Eagle Kawasawa, Hell Monkey, Eiji Hamacho and VENOM entering. Hell Monkey naturally goes over to help Miyamae battle Maita, whilst Eiji Hamacho and Eagle Kawasawa seem to be working together against Steve Flash. Flash gets put of his predicament by nailing Hamacho and Kawasawa with a couple of Flash Bangs but is then dumped out of the ring with standing drop-kick from SUKI. [B][COLOR=red]Elimination #1: Steve Flash at 7:27[/COLOR][/B] [B][COLOR=#ff0000][COLOR=black]Entrant No.9:[/COLOR] [/COLOR][/B] [IMG]http://s137.photobucket.com/albums/q236/Tigerkinney/th_YasunobuMasuno_alt11.jpg[/IMG] Masuno is the ninth entrant in the match up and he makes an immediate impact, lifting a dazed Eagle Kawasawa overhead and launching the masked Junior Heavyweight out of the ring and to the floor. [B][COLOR=red]Elimination #2: Eagle Kawasawa at 8:09[/COLOR][/B] Masuno then turns his attentions to working with SUKI, who is trying to eliminate VENOM. Masuno goes for a clothesline on VENOM (after SUKI had nailed VENOM with an Enziguri sending VENOM into the path of Masuno), but the recent long-term injury returnee managed to duck out of the way and Masuno ended up colliding with SUKI, the force of which sent the self proclaimed Legend Killer tumbling out of the ring to a surprisingly early elimination [B][COLOR=red]Elimination #3 : SUKI at 8:56[/COLOR][/B] SUKI did not look best pleased as he made his way back up the entrance ramp and past the final entrant Bulldozer Brandon Smith. Maita was still battling against Monkey and Miyamae but was somehow finding ways to keep 'alive' in the match and he soon got help with VENOM and Masuno who decided that the Silver Dragon Feet pair were a major threat in the match. [B]Entrant No.10 (Final Entrant):[/B] [IMG]http://s137.photobucket.com/albums/q236/Tigerkinney/th_BulldozerBrandonSmith.jpg[/IMG] Eiji Hamacho meanwhile soon found himself the target of the fresh Bulldozer Brandon Smith. Who took the veteran tag specialist down with a 3 Point Tackle, before sending the 'Raging Bull' over the top rope with a Lariat. [B][COLOR=red]Elimination #4: Eiji Hamacho at 10:03[/COLOR][/B] BBS then went on rampage knocking down anyone that stumbled into his path, despite this dominance though he didn't actually eliminate anyone and was soon taken down himself with a vicious Yazuza Kick from Masuno. Masuno then tried to dump BBS over, but the hard-working Gaijin managed to hold on and soon Masuno and BBS were involved in a brawl with one another. Meanwhile across the other side of the ring Maita and VENOM were still battling with Silver Dragon Feet members Miyamae and Hell Monkey. At around the 13 minute mark Miyamae went for the Miyamae Spoiler on Maita, but the P.I.N.K man had it scouted and he countered into jawbreaker, the as Miyamae stumbled back towards him Maita caught him with a Super-Kick, that saw the Silver Dragon Feet member tumbling over the rope. [B][COLOR=red]Eimination #5: Miyamae at 13:15[/COLOR][/B] But just as Maita thought he was about go get a breather Hell Monkey took Maita down with a spinning head-scissors that sent the P.I.N.K man over the rope and to the outside. [B][COLOR=red]Elimination #6: Mokuami Maita at 13:28[/COLOR][/B] VENOM then tried to drop-kick Hell Monkey out of the ring, but the SDF member managed to skin the cat and instead it was VENOM who found himself drop kicked to the outside. But he went through the middle rope instead of over the top and stayed alive in the match, before coming back with a flying clothesline. Things settled down a little bit, as all four remaining competitors tried to get their breath back, before picking up again with VENOM again battling it out with Hell Monkey and BBS battling with Yasunobu Masuno. VENOM managed to avoid the Hell-Fire-Kick and took Monkey down with a Leg-Sweep but BBS who had managed to slow down but not eliminate Masuno long enough to take a breather, saw an opportunity, sneaking up behind VENOM and hitting a half-Nelson backbreaker, before dumping the valiant injury returnee over the top rope. [B][COLOR=red]Elimination #7: VENOM at 17:38[/COLOR][/B] But BBS suddenly found his head almost taken off as Masuno exploded out of the corner to take BBS down with a Spinenbuster. The former college football star got to his feet and 'Stronged' Up and responded with a Lariat but was then met with a Hell Fire-Kick from Tumbing Monkey and we were down to our Final Two. [B][COLOR=red]Elimination # 8: Bulldozer Brandon Smith at 18:44[/COLOR][/B] We were now down to the final two and as with all Burning Hammer gauntlets, the final elimination is decided by pinfall or submission.Yasunobu Masuno immediately started to make his size advantage count and it looked like it would only be a matter of time, before Masuno would finish Hell Monkey off with a Power-move, but every time he tried the SDF man would manage to fight his way out. Masuno finally seemed to have Hell Monkey weakend enough to go for a choke-slam, but the flame haired Junior Heavweight, fought out with elbow shots, before causing Masuno to lose his balance with a spinning leg-sweep, the big man managed to stay on his feet, but was soon flat on his back, when Hell Monkey took hit a basement drop-kick that took the legs out from underneath him. Hell Monkey then headed up top and scored with the TUMBLING MONKEY !!! Hell Monkey had won the Gauntlet match and would be facing Sean McFly for the Openweight Title at Thursdays show in Chubu. That was a good, fast paced battle royal with a slightly suprising Final Four. SUKI's early elimination was a particular surprise given the form he's shown throughout the year, and he surely can't be happy with his 'hired gun' Masuno, who caused his elimination. [B][COLOR=red]Result: Hell Monkey won a battle royal in 21:45. The final four competitors also included Yasunobu Masuno, VENOM and Bulldozer Brandon Smith, with Yasunobu Masuno being the final elimination. It's no surprise Dragon has the ego to match, he really is that good and he can only get better. They worked a good story here to play off the Junior Champion's natural arrgogance. Dragon was in control for most of the match, but couldn't quite put Takemitsu away, and Dragon soon found out that Takemitsu was not an easy day at the office, when the P-X man landed on his feet after a Dragon Suplex and applied the Cobra Clutch, slowly wearing Dragon down to the mat. Dragon managed to find the ropes to break the hold, but Takemitsu soon tried to re-apply it this time he went for the Canada-2-Japan but Dragon sneaked in a back-heel low blow and that led to Takemitsu being taken down with the Dragon-Slice (Shiranui). [B][COLOR=red]Result: Sensational Dragon defeated Kenko Takemitsu in 9:06 by pinfall with a Dragon Slice. [/COLOR][/B] [B][COLOR=red]Rating: A[/COLOR][/B] [I]Backstage and Tetsuzan Kaneko has caught up with Hiroaki Nakasawa, ahead of the World Champions non title 4-way with Hooded Kudo, Shimedzu and Toshiharu Hyobanshi.[/I] [I]Nakasawa said ' The title may not be on the line in this match, but that doesn't mean I'll put in any less of an effort. All three of my opponents will be looking for a psychological edge to use against me. Hyobanshi you and your P.I.N.K chronies might not have specifically targetted me yet, but I know what you are all about, so if you ever try to sneak attack me, the pay-back will be so much heavier than what you are being faced with from Silver Dragon Feet, you better believe that.[/I] [B]Rating: B-[/B] [CENTER][B]______________________________________________________[/B][/CENTER] [CENTER][B]Match #5: Team Elemental (Elemental Americana & Elemental II) vs P.I.N.K (Marihito Masuko & Tadakuni Toshusai)[/B] [/CENTER] [CENTER][IMG]http://s137.photobucket.com/albums/q236/Tigerkinney/th_AmericanElemental.jpg[/IMG] [B]&[/B] [IMG]http://s137.photobucket.com/albums/q236/Tigerkinney/th_ElementalII.jpg[/IMG][/CENTER] [CENTER][B][SIZE=3]vs[/SIZE][/B][/CENTER] [CENTER][IMG]http://s137.photobucket.com/albums/q236/Tigerkinney/th_MarihitoMasuko.jpg[/IMG] [B]&[/B] [IMG]http://s137.photobucket.com/albums/q236/Tigerkinney/th_BHOTWG-TadakuniToshusaiPINK.jpg[/IMG][/CENTER] This was an excellent Tag Team contest, that combined together some high quality team work from both teams with some intense brawling. The finish of the match also gave a nice lead int to the main event, to further emphasise the growing faction warfare in BHOTWG. The Elemental's started off the stronger, keeping Masuko isolated in their corner with some really inventive double teams. Masuko however found a way to turn things around, when he blasted pink mist into the face of Elemental II , and then taking the Junior Legend down with a Masuko Cradle-Shock. That led to Masuko getting the Tag into Tadakuni Toshusai, and P.I.N.K kept Elemental II isolated in their corner, until this time Elemental II , was able to get the hot-tag into Americana, following a missile drop-kick on both members of P.I.N.K. Americana cleaned house for a bit, taking Toshusai down with a Flying Cross Body Press, then snapping off a 'rana on Masuko, before Toshusai dived across to break up the pin. That led to P.I.N.K setting up for the P.I.N.K Daze (Elevated Flying Neckbreaker), but just as Masuko was about to fly in off the ropes. Shimedzu suddenly appeared, to shove the P.I.N.K leader off the turnbuckle and to the floor. Elemental Americana took immediate advantage by driving Toshusai into the canvas with a Tornado DDT to score the victory for Team Elemental and give himself and Elemental II (who we learned during the match would also be added to the Junior Contenders 5-Way) a momentum boost heading into the 5-Way Eliminator for contention to the Junior Championship on Thursday's show. [B][COLOR=red]Result: Team Elemental defeated P.I.N.K in 11:54 when Elemental Americana defeated Tadakuni Toshusai by pinfall [/COLOR][/B] [B][COLOR=red]Rating: A*[/COLOR][/B] [I]Incensed by what he has just seen P.I.N.K member Toshiharu Hyobanshi immediatey goes after Shimedzu , as the Tag Team competitors are being cleared from the ring. Hyobanshi and Shimedzu are soon joined by Hooded Kudo, Kudo initially 'saves' his former SDF alumnus Shimedzu from receiving a hefty beating at the hands of the dominating Hyobanshi, but then imediately turns on Shimedzu.[/I] [I]As Shimedzu brawl's with Kudo on the floor, Hyobanshi makes his way into the ring, where he is then faced with World Champion Hiroaki Nakasawa, they stare each other down and the bell rings to get the main event under-way.[/I] [B]Rating: C+[/B] [CENTER][B]Match #6: All Star 4 Corner Survival: [/B] [B]Hiroaki Nakasawa vs Hooded Kudo vs [/B] [B]Shimedzu vs [/B][B]Toshiharu Hyobanshi[/B][/CENTER] [CENTER][IMG]http://s137.photobucket.com/albums/q236/Tigerkinney/th_HiroakiNakasawa.jpg[/IMG] [IMG]http://s137.photobucket.com/albums/q236/Tigerkinney/th_HoodedKudo.jpg[/IMG][/CENTER] [CENTER][B][SIZE=3]vs[/SIZE][/B][/CENTER] [CENTER][IMG]http://s137.photobucket.com/albums/q236/Tigerkinney/th_KenShimedzu.jpg[/IMG] [IMG]http://s137.photobucket.com/albums/q236/Tigerkinney/th_HyobanshiPINK-1.jpg[/IMG][/CENTER] Soon the stare-down between Nakasawa and Hyobanshi turns to blows and neither one of them backs down, as they trade fore-arm shot after fore-arm shot. Hyobanshi soon gains the advantage though, and he whips the World Champion into a corner, but as he goes for a running hip attack, Shimedzu is up on the apron and tags himself in. Hyobanshi collides with Nakasawa, but is then immediately taken down with a swinging DDT from Shimedzu. Shimedzu then goes for the cover but Hyobanshi completely no sells the attempt by kicking out at one then sitting up. Hyobanshi then takes control with a clubbing blow to the back of Shimedzu, before lifting the Super 10 Cup winner into a Vertical Suplex. He holds Shimedzu up for a whole minute, wowing the fans in attendance with his strength, but just as he is about to send Shimedzu crashing back to the mat, Hooded Kudo re-enters the match by nailing Hyobanshi in the legs with basement drop-kick. Shimedzu still hits the mat hard but manages to roll out of the ring, a Shining Wizard from Kudo on Hyobanshi, see's him take control, leading to the SDF Leader putting Hyobanshi in the Kudo-Lock. But Hyobanshi agains shows his strength by powering his way to his feet then dumping Kudo with a Fall-Away Slam . As both staggered to their feet Hyobanshi went for the PINK Message (Running Clothesline) but Kudo managed to duck under, before diving across to get the tag in to of all people his arch-rival for the past year Hiroaki Nakasawa. Nakasawa took immediate control with a clothesline, but Hyobanshi got right back to his feet. That seemed to unfaze Nakasawa though he maintained control with a boot to the P.I.N.K's mid section before taking Hyobanshi over with a Northern Lights Suplex Again Hyobanshi kicked out at one and a half, this led to Nakasawa assessing what to do next, before deciding to tag in Hooded Kudo and for a brief moment the formation of the one most unlikliest in-ring alliances ever witnessed in a BHOTWG ring. The long time rivals, took turns tagging in and out to work over Hyobanshi, meanwhile Shimedzu was back on the apron, but had to look on in frustration, as the action took place on the opposite side of the ring. As expected though the alliance fell apart as soon as someone tried to take the win, this came when Nakasawa took down Hyobanshi with a Swinging Neckbreaker before applying an STF submission. But as soon as Nakasawa changed it up into a Cross-Face Kudo had seen enough and he broke it up with a double stomp to the back of Nakasawa. Kudo then sneaked in a low blow on Nakasawa, as the World Champion got to his feet, before nailing a dazed Hyobanshi in the head with a Yakuza Kick. Hyobanshi then bounced off the ropes into a Drop Toe Hold from Kudo. Kudo then decided to go up top and set up for a Moonsault, but what he was unware of is that Nakasawa had scrambled across the ring to get the tag into Shimedzu, who climbed up the same set of turnbuckles, cutting off Kudo with a clubbing blow to the back. Kudo and Shimedzu then duked it out on the top turnbuckle, each of them seem to take control and at one point it looked like Shimedzu was about to drop Kudo on his head with a Skull-Drop on the turnbuckle, in the end though neither of them got an advantage and instead both were sent crashing back into the ring by a recovered Hyobanshi with a double suplex !!! Hyobanshi however was unable to go for a cover on either man, as both had the sense to roll out of the ring. Hyobanshi then went right after Nakasawa, bringing the World Champion back into the match with a clubbing fore-arm blow then a slingshot suplex........... One............ Two............ Nakasawa kicks out, but he remain in trouble as Hyobanshi keeps up the pressure with a rapid delivery of punishing strikes, Hyobanshi then whips Nakasawa across the ring, but the World Champion was able to come back with a Lariat of his own, stopping Hyobanshi in his tracks. Nakasawa then peppered Hyobanshi with a combination of fore-arms and back hand chops, before making the rare decision to go up top. He came off the top-rope, taking down Hyobanshi with a missile drop-kick........ Then as Hyobanshi got to his feet he nailed the P.I.N.K man with a fore-arm smash before setting up the Nakasawa Neckbreaker, but Hyobanshi had it scouted and countered with a knee strike to the head, that suddenly had the World Champion in a daze. That then led to Hyobanshi looking like he was about to set up for the Nova- Bomb Redux , but just as he was about to do so Hooded Kudo pulled the legs out from underneath him, before sending Hyobanshi into the guard-rail with a side russian leg-sweep. But just as Kudo was about to re-enter the ring and take advantage of the situation Hyobanshi sent both of them crashing off the apron to the floor, with a Belly to Back Suplex. As Nakasawa got back to is feet, Shimedzu was back in and the Super 10 Cup winner took immediate advantage by peppering the World Champion with a flurry of stiff kicks. Shimedzu then looked to take Nakasawa down with an STO, but the World Champion held firm and came back with a big clothesline. Nakasawa then took control, whipping Shimedzu against the ring-ropes but the Super 10 Cup winner came back with a Springboard Roundhouse kick, before taking Nakasawa off his feet with his leg-whip, before deciding to climb up top. But out of the corrner of his eye Shimedzu saw Hyobanshi and Kudo getting back to his feet and instead decided to pull out a Moonsault to the floor. Hyobanshi however caught Shimedzu and was about to power-bomb the former SDF man onto the apron, when Nakasawa got back to his feet and came crashing through the ring-ropes with a Flying Fore-Arm Smash. As all of them lay out on the floor, it was Nakasawa and Kudo who entered back into the ring. Kudo took control with a flurry of knife edge chops, that sent the World Champion slumping into the corner, before deciding to deliver the Face-Wash, but as he about to finish the sequence, Hyobanshi suddendly appeared back on the apron to turn Kudo inside out with a vicious clothesline. Hyobanshi then re-entered the ring and was about to deliver the Nova Bomb Redux, when Nakasawa suddenly exploded out of the corner to take both Hyobanshi down wiht a Shoulder Tackle, sending both Hyobanshi and Kudo crashing to the mat. Nakasawa then turned his attention back to Hooded Kudo, before driving his long time nemesis into the mat with the NAKASAWA NECKBREAKER !!! One................ Two.................. Thr............. Shimedzu broke it up at the last second with a diving leg-drop. Shimedzu tried to get in a kick to the head on the World Champion but was caught by Nakasawa who, then twisted him round , before taking Shimedzu over with a German Suplex............... One............... Two............. Shimedzu kicked out and Nakasawa went for another German, but Shimedzu fought out with elbows , that led to Nakasawa whipping Shimedzu across the ring, as he looked to finish off with the H-Bomb but the former 4 time Tag Champion managed to duck under, before taking Nakasawa by surprise with an Enziguri. This then left the World Champion dazed enough to be driven into the canvas with the SKULL DROP !!! One........ Two............... Kudo tries to dive in to save the match, but his pulled out of the ring by members of P.I.N.K !! and Hyobanshi tries to do the same but is pulled back by members of Silver Dragon Feet ! Three !!! Shimedzu gets the win and truly stakes his claim to be part of the Two-Tier World Title match at Night of the Burning Hammer. Even though the Title was not on the line, they certainly did not hold back and delivered a PPV calibre main event that combined some great storytelling built around the rviarlies between each of the competitors with some of the hardest hitting, most bruising action you are ever likely to see in the match. Hyobanshi continues to look an absolute beast despite losing and Shimedzu immediately looks like a World Title Threat again by pinning the Champion. [B][COLOR=red]Result: Shimedzu defeated Hiroaki Nakasawa, Hooded Kudo and Toshiharu Hyobanshi in 26:15 when Shimedzu defeated Hiroaki Nakasawa by pinfall.[/COLOR][/B] [B][COLOR=red]Rating: A*[/COLOR][/B] [I]The show closes with the Silver Dragon Feet and P.I.N.K members brawling with one another. Shimedzu is then celebrating in the ring when Hyobanshi clubs him from behind, then Hooded Kudo turns his attention to Hiroaki Nakasawa as the World Champion gets to his feet, this in turn brings out Kinnojo Horri, who goes right after Hooded Kudo. [/I] [I]Sensational Dragon and Hell Monkey then take down the rest of P.I.N.K with stereo moonsaults. Only for Team Elemental (Elemental II and Elemental Americana) to suddenly appear....Elemental Americana soars into the pack of bodies with a handpsring plancha, and Elemental II is about to do the same only to be cut off by Hyobanshi and fall victim to a high-angle release Power Bomb. [/I] [I]Hooded Kudo then nails Hyobanshi with the Kudo Kutter, only for Shimedzu to take him down with a Roundhouse Kick. Nakasawa then has the last word taking Shimedzu down with the Nakasawa Neckbreaker (showing that he is still the man to beat).[/I] [B]Rating: C[/B] [CENTER][B]______________________________________________________[/B][/CENTER] [CENTER][B][SIZE=3][COLOR=magenta]Overall: A[/COLOR][/SIZE][/B][/CENTER] The show started a bit shakily with what was to be said a disappointing opener, but it picked up after the Gauntlet match and finished off with an excellent main event. [CENTER]_____________________________________________________________[/CENTER] [B]T.V News:[/B] Lords of the Ring drew a 17.92 rating on Nippon T.V (-0.09) I suppose coming of a PPV that only scored an A on the ARSEHOLES rating, I should have expected the T.V rating to go down, ironic thing though is that it's still better than what anyone else is putting out on a consistent basis. PGHW are nearest right now in terms of reguarly being able to put on high quality shows, mostly scoring in the B-B+ range.NOTBPW are up and down anywhere in the B Range often flutuating between a B+ one week, to a B- the next, whilst TCW seems put on a B- show near enough every week.

[B][U][SIZE=3][COLOR=darkred]Purogods.com[/COLOR][/SIZE][/U][/B] World Champion Hiroaki Nakasawa and Shimedzu have been announced as the first two participants of the Two-Tier World Title Challenge at Night of the Burning Hammer, and in an interesting twist they have been announced as one of the teams. Nakasawa managed to succesfully defend the title against Shimedzu at Quest of Heart, but Shimedzu scored a big victory in the Non Title 4-Way this past Monday, when he pinned Nakasawa. It will be interesting to see if these two growing rivals can be able to work together as team. We will get an early look at how well they team together, when they take on the P.I.N.K duo of Maita & Toshusai at the Yamanashi Athletic Stadium in Chubu on Thursday 25th September. Headlining that show will be a 5-Way All Junior Division Elimination match, where the winner will get to face the Junior Champion at Night of the Burning Hammer on Saturday 17th October. Vying to secure their spot at the biggest event of the year are recent former Champion Elemental Americana, Junior Legend Elemental II, P.I.N.K leader Marihito Masuko, former 3 time Junior Champion and BOSJ Cup winner The Awesome Kiyaru and the self proclaimed legend-killer SUKI. In what looks to be a stacked card there will also be two title defences as Size of the Fight put their World Tag Team Titles on the line against The Pacific Express and Sean McFly defends his Openweight Title against Hell Monkey, who came through a 10 Man Gauntlet on Monday to earn the Title Shot. Rounding out the show Kinnojo Horri will go to battle with Yasunobu Masuno (who reached the final 2 in the Openweight contenders Gauntlet), Silver Dragon Feet's Miyamae takes on Hirokumi Saito and DANGER AHEAD will look to get back some momentum in their plans to win the Tag Titles, when they take on Eiji Hamacho and his new tag team partner Dynamite Narahashi. Thursday (Chubu) 5-Way Junior Contenders Elimination: Elemental Americana vs Elemental II vs Marihito Masuko vs SUKI vs [B]The Awesome Kiyaru[/B] [I]- Random choice of the night goes to... the Awesome (Mask of) Kiyaru. I still don't think SD and AE/EII need the belt to continue their hate on. I think SUKI losing could do more as he hits a mini-slump. I could have picked Masuko but... nope.[/I] Openweight Title: [B]Sean McF[/B]ly vs Hell Monkey [I]- Monkey tumbles and bumps but misses something to allow an outta-nowhere Delorean Driver as McFly continues his seemingly unstoppable quest for 10. Could easily end in a draw.[/I] Tag Titles: [B]Size of the Fight[/B] vs The Pacific Express [I]- Bwahahahaha! Oh, wait really? PX get a shot? Good for them. They job now![/I] Special Attraction Tag: [B]Hiroaki Nakasawa & Shimedzu[/B] vs P.I.N.K (Maita & Toshusai) [I]- If Hyobatchi (sic) were in this it might be more up in the air, but Shim'sawa pick up some needed momentum.[/I] [B]Kinnojo Horri[/B] vs Yasunobu Masuno [I]- The return of an angry, focused Horri continues. But Masuno does better than any other victims though.[/I] [B]DANGER AHEAD [/B]vs Eiji Hamacho & Dynamite Narahashi [I]- This match will be Dy-No-Mite! And Narahashi ends up staring at the lights... again.[/I] Hirokumi Saito vs [B]Miyamae[/B] [I]- I thought for a moment Saito was in PINK, he's not. He jobs.[/I] __________________________________________________ ___ Voyager Showcase (Detroit, MI, Great Lakes) Night 1 (Saturday) [B]Hell Monkey[/B] vs Toshiharu Hyobanshi [I]- Overseas Monkey is more over and it'll be relatively meaningless to the majority of fans in Japan.[/I] [B]Gilmore, BBS & Flash[/B] vs DANGER AHEAD & Kiyaru [I]- If not for Gilmore I'd have pegged the others, but Gilmore and BBS makes this a very powerful team... in the US. And BBS has been enjoying a push across the Pacific.[/I] Voyager Title Tournament Round 1: Dynamite Narahashi vs [B]Mikey James[/B] [I]- Even overseas, Dy-No-Mite goes down![/I] VTT Round 1: Heiachiro Sakai vs [B]Matt Keith[/B] [I]- More over. Great talent.[/I] Night 2 (Sunday) Non Title: [B]Sean McFly[/B] vs Eagle Kawasawa [I]- Eagle flies across the Pacific... and still loses.[/I] Mokuami Maita vs [B]Shimedzu[/B] [I]- More over (in Japan) upcoming big match but should be a good one. Part of me hopes for PINK Problems for Shimedzu.[/I] Hirokumi Saito vs [B]Kansuke Konda[/B] [I]- Konda's always good for some big fun match.[/I] VTT Round 1: Relampago Dos vs [B]VENOM[/B] [I]- A reward for his recovery.[/I] VTT Round 1: [B]Greg Keith[/B] vs Narihira Arita [I]- Today... in the US... is not going to be Narihira's day to shock the Hammer.[/I] *** Sorry I missed the last round of predictions. Konda and Miyazaki are tagged in, and they go for more of a no nonsense approach as they exchange strikes. Turning point in the exchange see's Konda go for a roaring elbow, but Miyazaki manages to duck under and counter into a Uranage Backbreaker, then Konda is flipped over with a Fisherman Suplex for a two count. Takemitsu is brought back in, and the Pacific Express go for a Leg-Sweep/Flying Clothesline combination, but Konda has it scouted and manages to roll out of the way, causing the challengers to collide with themselves. This then gives Konda time to tag in Kokan, who takes down Miyazaki with a Leg-Lariat, before snapping of a Tilt-A-Whirl Head-Scissors on Takemitsu, that sends Takemitsu to the outside. Kokan then decides to go a suicide dive but is cut off by Miyazaki who takes him down with a spin-kick. Miyazaki brings Kokan back towards The Pacific Express corner as the challengers slowed things down, by working over Kokan with frequent tags and simple strikes and kicks. A Double Team Snap Suplex, followed by a Diving Elbow Drop from Takemitsu brought a two count, before they decided to lock on a double submission (Takemitsu with the Cobra Clutch/Miyazaki with the Ankle Lock). That incensed Konda enough, to come in and break it up before the 'Big Fight Player' was ordered back to his corner by referee Koetsu Shinozaki. The Pacifix Express remained in control though and they looked to finish things off with the Pacification , but Kokan managed to counter his way out of the combination, by suddenly taking Miyazaki over with a Leg Hook Belly to Back Suplex, leading to a sudden pin attempt........ One........ Two.......... Takemitsu broke up the pin attempt, then tried for the Canada-2-Japan but Kokan fought out with elbows......before taking Takemitsu down with a leg lariat coming off the ropes. Miyazaki then tried for a shoot kick but Kokan caught the leg, taking Miyazaki back down with a Leg-Whip. The hot tag was then made into Kansuke Konda who took down Miyazaki with a Flying Fore-Arm. Takemitsu clubbed Konda from behind but was immediately met with a stiff fore-arm shot, then the BIG FIGHT STUNNER !!! One......... Two............ Thr............. Miyazaki broke it up with a kick to the head, before setting Konda up for the Good Night but Konda managed to fight out with elbow shots, Konda then managed to drive Miyazaki towards the SOTF corner, where Kokan managed to tag in. They took down Miyazaki with a Leg-Sweep/Flying Cross Body combination...... Before lifting Miyazaki back up and sending him back down with the FINAL IMPACT !! Kokan then made the cover, as Konda stood guard........ One........... Two............. Three.............. First things first, this was never going to compare to SOTF's last title defence against the dream team of Elemental & Kinnojo Horri, which had to be said ranks amongst the all time classic battles for the World Tag Team Titles. The Pacific Express though were at-least made to look a threat and benefitted from the champions 'underdog' formula, even if no one in the crowd really saw SOTF as the underdogs and this had 'routine' title defence written all over it. In the end Miyamae picks up a confidence boosting victory with the Miyamae Spoiler, in what was a rather mundance extended squash for the Silver Dragon Feet stalwart. Hamacho comes back into the ring, to help his partner to his feet, but as soon as Narahashi is up Hamacho decks him with a clothesline, before driving the luckless jobber into the canvas with a Hamacho Sledge 2K. Monkey goes for a Roundhouse, but the SDF member misses his target and McFly takes advantage by countering with a Leg-Sweep, but Hell Monkey flips over that and scores with a standing drop-kick. McFly bounces off the turnbuckle and Hell Monkey uses the momentum to take the champion over with a Fisherman Suplex. McFly kicks out, but Monkey stays in control, snap maring McFly over before delivering several kicks to the back, then to the chest. Monkey the picks a dazed McFly up and he whips the former NOTBPW star across the ring. Monkey then goes for the Hell Fire-Kick, but McFly has it scouted side-stepping out of the way then turning the tide with a Reverse STO Backbreaker. McFly then lifts Hell Monkey up into a vertical suplex position, before driving the SDF member into the mat with a brainbuster......... One........ Two......... Hell Monkey kicks out, but McFly remains in control, by flipping Hell Monkey over into a Boston Crab. Hell Monkey manages to power his way up to his feet however, before catching McFly with a knee strike to the head. As the both stagger up, McFly regains the advantage with a roaring elbow, but Hell Monkey comes right back with a Jumping Roundhouse kick. Hell Monkey then takes down McFly with a spinning leg-sweep, before going out onto the apron and sling-shotting himself back in , scoring with a twisting elbow drop. One...... Two.......... McFly kicks out. Hell Monkey lifts McFly up to a vertical base then tries for a Dragon Suplex, but McFly manages to fight out and forces a standing switch, before dumping the SDF member with a German Suplex. But Hell Monkey shakes it off, and takes McFly by suprise with Spinning Head-Scissors. Hell Monkey then goes up top, but he see's McFly get to his feet, he goes for a Tornado DDT but McFly is another step ahead, as he blocks the attempt before sending Hell Monkey down onto the canvas with a Death Valley Driver. One................ Two................. Hell Monkey kicks out, and then staggers up to his fee, but looks dazed. McFly the decides to go for the Way of the Future (Springboard Inverted DDT), but that proves to be a mistake as Hell Monkey manages to shove McFly off, before dumping the Openweight Champion on his head with a Dragon Suplex.............. One.............. Two............ Thr............... McFly kicks out. Hell Monkey then delivers more stiff kicks to keep McFly down, before heading up top, he goes scores with Double Stomp of the top-rope, before using that move to spring off into a Quebrada........ One........... Two........... Thr............ McFly shows his resilliance by kicking out, but Hell Monkey can feel that he almost has this match in the bag, and heads up top again. But he takes too long setting up for the Tumbling Monkey and when he finally does come off McFly is able to counter with a standing drop-kick. The Champion then takes Monkey onto his shoulders before delivering a Fire-Man's Carry Gutbuster, before transistioning that into a Tilt-A-Whirl Backbreaker. He then finishes off the sequence with a Northern Lights Suplex............ One....... Two............. Hell Monkey kicks out, and this time McFly decides to head up top. But Hell Monkey gets to his feet and nails McFly in the back of the head with an Enziguri, this forces McFly to drop into the Tree of Woe Position and Hell Monkey immediately applies a Crucifix Armbar as McFly is hanging in the ropes. Referee Omura Umeki starts a five count, and Hell Monkey lets go of the illegal submission, just before Umeki makes it to five. But it’s clear the damage has been done and Hell Monkey , looks to re-apply the arm bar, but McFly suddenly rolls Hell Monkey up out of no-where…….. One……. Two…… Hell Monkey kicks out, then goes for a kick to the head, but McFly manages to duck under, and as he gets to his feet he nails Hell Monkey with an Enziguri, this causes the challenger to stumble towards the ropes, and then bounce back into a DELOREAN DRIVER !!! One……… Two……… Three !!! Sean McFly now only needs three more successful defences to earn an automatic World Title Shot. Though not quite at the same level as his back and forth battles with Tom Gilmore, and his recent technical classics with SUKI, this was another quality title defence from McFly, who continues to raise the prestige of the Openweight Title. The closing stages of the match saw Masuno take down Horri with a Spinebuster for a two count, then attempt to apply the Masuno Deep Sleeper, but Horri fought out with elbows then nailed Masuno with the Burning Lariat to pick up the victory and rebuild some momentum, as he looks to get back into the World Title picture. Nakasawa was soon isolated in their corner, but managed to fight his way back to his corner, only to find that Shimedzu was not on the apron, but this wasn’t because the former SDF member had abandoned him , it was due to Toshusai dropping the 2007 Super 10 Cup winner onto the ring-steps. Nakasawa found himself isolated in the ring and going it alone, and it looked P.I.N.K were going to put the World Champion away especially when the Kabuki face-paint wearing duo nailed him with a Super-Kick/Spinebuster combo. But Shimedzu was back in to break up the pin, the former SDF man then fought off the P.I.N.K duo but soon found himself over-whelmed as Nakasawa was still trying to recover. Shimedzu did however manage to counter an attempt at the Shock Treatment from Toshusai, with an Enziguri, before taking down an on-rushing Maita with an STO. Shimedzu then went to get the tag into Nakasawa….there was a tense moment as it looked like Nakasawa might not tag in (having being un-aware as to why Shimedzu was unable to tag in earlier in the match. Nakasawa did tag in, sending Toshusai out of the ring with a Lariat, then catching Toshusai with the Nakasawa Neckbreaker, to pick up the victory for the ‘unlikely partnership’. Not a technical classic by any-means but the crowd fully lapped up the intensity and drama of this match, especially with the under-lying tension between Nakasawa and Shimedzu, which the P.I.N.K pair were looking to take full advantage of. Masuko gains the advantage with a Leg-Sweep DDT for a two count, and then goes out onto the apron, but Kiyaru nips up and catches Masuko with a Roundhouse Kick that sends the P.I.N.K man out to the floor. SUKI then announces his arrival into the match taking down Kiyaru with a Flying Clotheline, Kiyaru then nips up but is cut off with a running knee from SUKI. That bring a two count for the self proclaimed legend killer, who then begins to work over the arm of Kiyaru. This leads to SUKI attempting to lock on the SUKI Special, but the experienced Kiyaru has it scouted, and counters with a spinning leg-sweep before taking SUKI down with a Standing Shiranui. Kiyaru then scrambles across to make a tag into Elemental II. Elemental II and SUKI engage in a strike exchange, with the Junior legend eventually gaining the advantage, a Belly to Back Suplex, folowed by a Quebrada brings a two count for the former six time champion, before deciding to taf in Elemental Americana. Team Elemental then decide to work as a team working over SUKI in their corner, as Kiyaru and Masuko look on. The Elementals then go for a double roundhouse kicks combination on SUKI, but the youngster manages to duck under Elemental Americana's kick, whilst catching the leg of Elemental II. He takes Elemental II down with a Dragon Screw Leg-Whip, and then snaps of a Head-Scissors Take-Down on Elemental Americana, which he then floats into a SUKI SPECIAL !! Elemental Americana looks like he might be about to tap, but Elemental II makes the save with a kick to the back of SUKI, even though this is an elimination match-up. It's clear to see that Team Elemental obviously have a gameplan in place to work together. Elemental II then takes down SUKI with a Belly to Back Suplex, before heading up top. The Junior legend comes off with an Inferno Splash.......... But SUKI gets the knees-up, Elemental II manages to stagger to the floor before SUKI can take advantage, suddenly Masuko sneaks back in, and he takes SUKI by surprise with the CRADLE SHOCK !! (Reverse STO) One.............. Two............ Three And SUKI has been eliminated, continuing his mini-slump in form since Quest of Heart. [B][COLOR=red]Elimination # 1: SUKI at 9:47[/COLOR][/B] Kiyaru comes back in and goes right after Masuko with a flurry of kicks, but Masuko catches him and attempts to pull off the Cradle Shock for a second time, but Kiyaru manages to block the attempt and counters into a Falcon Arrow One.......... Two........ Kiyaru then heads towards the turnbuckles and goes for a Moonsault, but Masuko manages to roll out of the way, the P.I.N.K man then takes Kiyaru down with spinning head-scissors but Kiyaru manages to bail to the outside before Masuko can follow up. Elemental II is back in, and he makes an immediate impact, catching Masuko with an Eniguri, then dumping Masuko with a Elemental Suplex............ One.............. Two.......... Thr.......... Masuko kicks out, then he appears to blast pink mist into the face of the Elemental II, before pulling the tights of and rolling up the Junior legend into a small package. One.......... Two............ Three !!! [COLOR=red][B]Elimination #2: Elemental II at 12:14[/B][/COLOR] Meanwhile Elemental Americana has been distracted by Sensational Dragon at the announce table. Masuko then lets the most recent former champion know that he is still in match, by taking Americana down with a slinghsot plancha They obviously all forgot about The Awesome Kiyaru though, who re-enters the ring and takes both of the Elemental's out with a Springboard Shooting Star Press !! After the dust has settled Masuko and Kiyaru are the ones back in the ring. Kiyaru gains the upperhand with a springboard arm-drag, before nailing Masuko with the Awesome Mirage series of kicks. The P.I.N.K leader slumps to the canvas and Kiyaru heads up top. Kiyaru goes for the Magic Cloud but Masuko manages rolls out of the way, before taking nailing Kiyaru with a Reverse STO Backbreaker. Masuko follows up with a double stomp, before heading out onto the apron but Kiyaru nips back up and he nails Masuko with a drop-kick, sending the P.I.N.K man to the floor. Elemental Americana is back in, but is immediatel taken down with an arm-drag from Kiyaru, Americana comes back with one of his own, before diving under a roundhouse attempt from Kiyaru and taking the DANGER AHEAD associate down with a springboard inverted DDT....... One......... Two............. Kiyaru kicks out, but is then taken over with an Elemental Suplex, but Kiyaru finds a way to flip onto his feet and he takes Americana down with a spinning leg-sweep. before deciding to towards one of the turnbuckles. But Masuko is back up on the apron and he suddenly takes Kiyaru down with an Into the White (Springboard Bull-Dog).......... Kiyaru manages to catch Masuko in mid-air and counters into an inverted Falcon Arrow but he took his eyes of the ball with Elemental Americana, who then dumps Kiyaru with an Elemental Suplex for a second time, this time he gets Kiyaru's shoulders down to the mat, applying a briding pin......... One.......... Two.......... Three !! [B][COLOR=red]Eliminaton #3: The Awesome Kiyaru at 18:28[/COLOR][/B] And now we are down to the final two, who will get the title shot between Elemental Americana and Marihito Masuko. Masuko catches Elemental Americana by slingshotting the top-rope into the throat of the Elemental III in waiting, before getting a quick pin attempt off a Sunset Flip. Elemental Americana rolls through , Masuko then rolls through again. Masuko then manages to flip Americana over,in to a Mexican Surfboard. Americana manages to counter though, by forcing Masuko's shoulders down to the mat. They both get up and Masuko retain the upper hand with a jawbreaker, he then spins Americana round and he dumps Elemental Americana, with of all things an Elemental Suplex !!! One...... Two........... Americana kicks out, and then nips up he comes back with the Tri-Fecta kick series , but Masuko cuts off his flurry with a poke to the eye, before taking Americana off his feet with a Dragon Screw. Masuko then decides to head up top, but Americana gets to his feet. Masuko then flys off the rope and he takes Americana down with a Flying Neckbreaker............... Masuko then lifts Americana up for the Cradle-Shock but man who hopes to complete the Elemental legacy, manages to block the move and immediately counters into an ELEMENTAL DRIVER !!! One.............. Two................ Three !!!! Elemental Americana wins the 5-Way Eliminator and will face Sensational Dragon at Night of the Burning Hammer, for the Junior Title. Will their intense and long running feud finally be settled at the biggest night of the year ? Even though the fans only really knew of Tom Gilmore and to a lesser extent Steve Flash, the likes of The Awesome Kiyaru and Golden Scorpion, won them over. The finish saw Bulldozer Brandon Smith get taken down with a Rhino Charge from Rhino Umaga, Tom Gilmore broke up the pin with the Picture Perfect Moonsault but was then taken down with a Scorpion Stinger from Golden Scorpion. Steve Flash then nailed Scorpion with the Flash Bang but was then taken down with Tilt-A-Whirl Head-Scissors from Kiyaru, who then headed up top and scored with the Magic Cloud (Imploding 450 Splash) to pick up the victory for his team. The finish saw Sakai almost have the Proton Lock, synched in only for Keith to reverse it and slap the submission on himself. Sakai almost reached the ropes but in the end the pain was too much and he ended up taping as Matt Keith advanced to the second round, where he will face off against Yasunobu Masuno. Hyobanshi dominated for long stretches, only for Monkey to come back with a series of flurries, and to be honest with the formula they worked with, the match probably would have worked better if it was about half the length. That and the U.S were sort of un-aware just how much of an impact Hyobanshi has been making since coming into BHOTWG’s as P.I.N.K’s newest member. The finish saw Hell Monkey got to take down Hyonbanshi with a Tornado DDT, only to be caught then driven into the mat with the Nova Bomb Redux. Monkey may be more over, but Hyobanshi is being built up as a ‘beast’ at the moment and I chose to keep booking consistent even if it was over the pond. This was a solid contest but wasn’t quite as good as Matt’s match with Heiachiro Sakai, possibly because Sakai’s that bit further ahead in experience and ability, when compared to Arita. This one saw Arita actually start out hot, but Greg managed to weather the storm and he was able to pick up the win with the G-Popper (Flowing Snap DDT) making this the second match in a row to end with a DDT based finisher. But Saito did a good job of putting Konda over, whilst making this a reasonably competitive bout. It’s unlikely Saito will ever get a push beyond the ‘Lower Mid-Card ‘ at best and was basically brought in as veteran job fodder, but the more solid matches he has, the more likely he’ll get to stick around beyond the current tour. [B][COLOR=red]Result: Kansuke Konda defeated Hirokumi Saito in 7:43 by pinfall.[/COLOR][/B] [B][COLOR=red][/COLOR][/B] [B][COLOR=red]Rating:B-[/COLOR][/B] [CENTER]____________________________________________________________[/CENTER] [CENTER][B]Match #5: Non Title: [/B] [B]Sean McFly vs Eagle Kawasawa[/B] [IMG]http://s137.photobucket.com/albums/q236/Tigerkinney/th_SeanMcFly.jpg[/IMG] [B]vs[/B] [IMG]http://s137.photobucket.com/albums/q236/Tigerkinney/th_EagleKawasawa.jpg[/IMG][/CENTER] As expected with Sean McFly involved this was a solid contest but the fans never really brought into Kawasawa being able to pick up the ‘upset victory’ despite having some solid flurries of offence, that included a few near-falls the closest of which was off the Eagle-Plex (a Cross-Face Chicken Wing Belly to Back suplex variation). That near-fall actually seemed to ’wake up’ McFly who stepped it up a gear and he was able to put away Kawasawa like he has done with so many others, with the Delorean Driver. A decent main event, though I probably should have gone with Shimedzu and Maita in this slot, especially as McFly’s title was not on the line. I think this one was little less disappointing, as I was hoping for better out of Night 1’s main event between Hyobanshi and Hell Monkey.

Two Tier World Title Match Qualifier: [B]Kinnojo Horri [/B]vs Miyamae vs Toshiharu Hyobanshi [I]I think shenanigins mean Horri sneaks through - he's not got much else to do right now so a momentum boost by winning this big match will do him good. Chugoku (Monday) Two Tier World Title Match Qualifier: Kinnojo Horri vs Miyamae vs [B]Toshiharu Hyobanshi[/B] [I]- Miyamae is the only one I don't see qualifying and it's a toss up for Hyobanshi and Horri. But I'm giving the PINK assist to the Pink Monster.[/I] Grudge Tag: [B]Hooded Kudo & Sensational Dragon[/B] vs P.I.N.K (Masuko & Maita) [I]- I think Kudo and SD pick up some momentum as we head towards the end of the Mists of the Unknown tour.[/I] Openweight Contenders: Hell Monkey vs [B]Tadakuni Toshusai [/B] [I]- Pure preference since I know there's a lot of Monkey Love on these boards but I am not one of them.[/I] [B]The Awesome Kiyaru[/B] vs Kansuke Konda [I]- Kiyaru needs this. It'll establish his return to the Super Junior title scene and Konda can drop the match and still be the Tag Champ and always be one Big Fight Stunnaaaaaaaaaaah away from being in contention of any belt.[/I] Non Title: [B]Hiroaki Nakasawa[/B] vs Bulldozer Brandon Smith [I]- Nakasawa continues his rejuvenated form. BBS realizes his push... isn't unstoppable and while he's doing well for a Gaijin, he's no McFly or Gilmore... yet.[/I] [B]Mikey James[/B] vs Shimedzu [I]- OMG~! Shock heard round the Hammer! Ok, I'm joking. Shimedzu wins this while eating sashimi in the ring.[/I] [b]Seriously... Shimedzu wins![/b] [B]SUKI & Yasunobu Masuno[/B] vs Eiji Hamacho & Hirokumi Saito [I]- I really like Saito's look, but Deranged Macho Hamacho is too much fun blaming everyone but himself for his troubles finding a win. What I want is Hamacho to take Mikey James under his wing for some 'tough macho man love.' I'm enjoying SUKI's struggles but that doesn't mean he should be losing to Hamacho and other.[/I]

Closest BBS looked like causing the upset is when he managed to take down Nakasawa with the 3-Point Tackle, then follow up with a Half Nelson Backbreaker, before going for the Back-Drop Driver but Nakasawa managed to fight out of it, and in the end the World Champion put BBS away with the Nakasawa Neckbreaker. Even though this match was solid, nothing stood out either and that may come from the fact that both competitors styles are similar , and they tend to work better against an opponent that brings something a little different to the table. It almost cost the over confident up and comer dear, but a mistake from Saito, let SUKI take him down with Tilt-A-Whirl Head-Scissors which was soon transitoned into the SUKI Special and Saito was soon tapping out to the painful submission. Hamacho then walked back up the ramp, before Saito had even got back to his feet, seemingly suggesting that he was far from happy with this tag-partner either. Toshusai dominated the early going, but Hell Monkey found a way back in after reversing an early Shock Treatment attempt into a Tornado DDT. Monkey then had a spell where he was on top using his kick to chop down Toshusai and then coming close to forcing Toshusai to pass out with a Dragon Sleeper. Toshusai survived that and came back with a spinebuster, that brought a two count for the P.I.N.K man, before the momentum shifted back and forth for the final few minutes. The finishing stretch came when Hell Monkey took down Toshusai with a spinning leg-sweep. Monkey then headed up top, and he look set to finish Toshusai off with the Tumbling Monkey, when Mokuami Maita distracted referee Koetsu Shinozaki by climbing onto the apron, this then allowed Masuko to blow pink mist into the face of Hell Monkey, causing the SDF member to tumble into the ring. Toshusai staggered to his feet, saw Hell Monkey was suddenly in trouble and took immediate advantage by nailing Hell Monkey with the Shock Treatment to pick up the victory and the Openweight Title Shot. That was until Kudo was about drill Masuko with a Kudo-Driver , when Masuko sneaked in a low-blow. That then lead to Kudo being the ‘face’ in peril, which was a wise move as despite being bigger than his partner, he has displayed more face like tendencies recently that Sensational Dragon, who continues to be a dick heel in his feud with Elemental Americana. Kudo eventually managed to escape with a Kudo-Kutter on Maita, transitioning the match into it’s home straight. The finishing sequence saw Kudo put Masuko into the Kudo-Lock, only for Maita to break it up with the Assassination Attempt (Running Knee), then flip Kudo over into the ankle-lock. Sensational Dragon dove in to break that up, before nailing Maita with an Enziguri, leading to a Dragon Slice. Very good tag match and it was slightly unusual to see the majority of the crowd get behind Hooded Kudo, even though technically he’s still a heel. [B][COLOR=red]Result: Hooded Kudo and Sensational Dragon defeated P.I.N.K (Masuko & Maita) in 15:24 when Sensational Dragon defeated Mokuami Maita by pinfall.[/COLOR][/B] [B][COLOR=red]Rating: A[/COLOR][/B] [FONT=Courier New][B]Notes:[/B] The Silver Dragon Feet pair needed to win here, as Kudo was starting to whine backstage about jobbing too much recently. This was a real see saw battle with Kiyaru trying to keep Konda off balance with his fluid agility and unpredicatable aerial assaults, whilst Konda kept getting right back up and bringing the fight to Kiyaru with his less-flashy but more hard-nosed and direct offence. A great sequence in the match saw Konda knock Kiyaru off the apron with a roaring elbow, then follow up with the Tope Con Hilo but Kiyaru moved out of the way, and as Konda staggered to his feet he was taken down with an Arabian Press. The finishing sequence saw Konda try to nail Kiyaru with the Big Fight Stunner, but the former 3 time BOSJ Cup winner managed to shove the Size of the Fight man towards the ropes, and as Konda rebounded back , Kiyaru was able to snap off Tilt-A-Whirl Headscissors. Kiyaru then headed up top, and as Konda staggered to his feet, Kiyaru dived off the turnbuckle to drive Konda into the mat with the Kiyaru Effect. In the overall scheme of things this was a pretty meaningless match, but it keeps Kiyaru looking reasonably strong in the Junior Division ranks, by getting him a win against a strong opponent. Konda may be more known for his tag work right now, but he has had snippets of singles success before and is always a tough opponent for anyone. Horri then clubs Hyobanshi from behind and tries for a German suplex, but Hyobanshi doesn't budge, and the P.I.N.K manages to turn and catches Horri with a spinning back fist, before catching Horri with a facebreaker knee-smash. Horri then doubles over and is then driven into the mat with an axe-kick. But just as Hyobanshi is about to go for an early cover Miyamae drops kicks Hyobanshi from behind, but this seems to have no effect and Hyobanshi turns around and lifts Miyamae up before lifting Miyamae up high and driving the SDF man down onto the canvas with a choke-slam. However this gave Horri enough time to get up and level Hyobanshi with an explosive Lariat. Somehow Hyobanshi stayed on his feet, but Horri followed up with a running clothesline and the pink monster was finally taken off his feet. Miyamae and Horri then went back to their original game plan of working together, as they took turns to pound away at Hyobanshi, they even took the big man over with a double team vertical suplex. As is always the case with these 'alliances' though it soon became short-lived as Horri, mistimed a Lariat, intended for Hyobanshi and instead knocked down Miyamae. Hyobanshi then tried to take advantage but Horri caught the worn down PINK man with an elbow smash before, nailing Hyobanshi with the BURNING LARIAT !!! But just as Horri was about to make the cover, Miyamae sneaked up behind, crotching Horri with a low blow and taking the trios tournament winner down with a Dragon Screw Leg-Whip. Miyamae then headed up top and was able to nail Horri with a Diving Headbutt. One......... Two........ Horri kicked out, but Miyamae stayed in control with a flurry of kicks that kept Horri from reaching a full vertical base and the Silver Dragon Feet man was able to drive Horri into the mat with the MIYAMAE SPOILER !! One......... Two......... Thr.......... Hyobanshi dived across to make the save. Miyamae then aimed some stiff kicks towards Hyobanshi as he got up, but the P.I.N.K monster shook them off, and came back with a simple fore-arm smash, a couple of clubbing blows to the back then had Miyamae even more dazed, and it looked like Hyobanshi was about to go for the Nova Bomb Redux but Miyamae managed to wrap his arm around the neck of the powerful big man, and it was soon clear that the former four time tag champion had a Dragon Sleeper applied. Hyobanshi was starting to slump to his knees and Horri was still out cold from the Miyamae Spoiler. Referee Omura Umeki decided to take a check on Hyobanshi, but just as Umeki looked like he was about to give the submission victory to Miyamae, Horri got back to his feet to break up the submission. With Hyobanshi too worn down to be a factor, Miyamae and Horri then proceeded to duke it out, Miyamae took control early on with some brutal looking kicks to the shin's of Horri, he then tried to go for another Miyamae Spoiler but Horri saw it coming, and he took Miyamae over with a huge back body drop, before catching Horri with a Lariat as Miyamae staggered back to his feet. Horri then used the momentum to plant Miyamae with a sit-out Power Bomb. One....... Two....... Miyamae kicked out, but Horri was not done, following up with a Belly to Back Backbreaker before positioning Miyamae for the Destiny Bomb, but as with Hyobanshi earlier Miyamae found a way to slip off, and this time he nailed Horri with an Enziguri, before sending Horri down to the canvas with a drop-toe hold. Horri tried to get back to his feet buy Miyamae aimed in flurry of vicious kicks, that put Horri flat on his back, Miyamae then tried for a pin. One......... Two........ Horri kicked out and a frustrated Miyamae headed up top, but just as it looked like Miyamae was about to deliver an aerial assult on Horri, Hyobanshi was there to cut Miyamae off and the P.I.N,.K man sent Miyamae flying back into the ring with a hip toss from the top rope. Miyamae crashed down with a heavy bump and as he staggered to his feet he was levelled with the P.I.N.K Message (Running Clothesline)............. One............... Two................ Thr........!!! Horri dived across to make the save at the last split second. This then lead to Hyobanshi and Horri go at each other hammer and tongs, with neither man giving an inch. This of course allowed Miyamae to shake the cobwebs from his head and the Silver Dragon feet man went out onto the apron, before deciding to perch himself on a turnbuckle, waiting for the moment to strike. Horri then tried for the Burning Lariat on Hyobanshi, but the P.I.N.K man shrugged it off and it was Hyobanshi who was finally able to gain control of the exchange with Horri, with a spinning back-fist, spinebuster combination. But Hyobanshi was soon confronted with Miyamae flying towards him with a flying cross-body, but the P.I.N.K man caught Miyamae in mid-air, before tossing the SDF member over the top-rope with a fall-away slam. Hyobanshi then turned his attention back to Horri, but Horri caught Hyobanshi with a couple of elbow shots to the mid-section, before summoning up the strength to plant Hyobanshi into the mat with a Belly to Belly Suplex......... One....... Hyobanshi kicked out with ease. But Horri stayed focused on the task in hand clubbing away on Hyonbanshi, before getting the P.I.N.K man worn down enough for a power-bomb attempt. Horri managed to pull it off before making another pin attempt.......... One........... Two......... Hyobanshi again managed to kick out. The in desperation Horri tried to get Hyobanshi up for the Destiny Bomb, but Hyobanshi held firm and came back with another one of his trademark spinning back-fists. Horri then stumbled towards the ring-ropes and it looked like Hyobanshi was about to take him down with the P.I.N.K Message, when he was pulled out of the ring........ By Silver Dragon Feet members Hooded Kudo and Hell Monkey, who proceeded to beat down Hyobanshi with chairs and kendo sticks. Meanwhile Miyamae had sneaked round the other side and as Horri got back to his feet, Miyamae was able to take him down with a head-scissors. Miyamae then tried to apply and arm bar, but Horri managed to shake that off, but Miyamae remained in control sending Horri back down to the mat with an STO, befoe firing in another flurry of stiff kicks. With Hyobanshi taken out of the equation and Horri flat on his back, Miyamae decided to head up top. But all of a sudden P.I.N.K members Toshusai and Maita had come out to take on Hell Monkey and Kudo, this briefly drew the attention of Omura Umeki, enabling Masuko to suddenly spring off the apron and drive Miyamae into the mat with the INTO THE WHITE (Springboard Bull-Dog). As Horri got back to his feet, he found Miyamae flat on the canvas, but instead of instantly going for the cover he picked Horri up and delivered the DESTINY BOMB !! Umeki turned around to make the count.......... One......... Two.......... Three !!! Nakasawa and Shimedzu, find out who their first opponent will be as, Kinnojo Horri has qualified for the Two Tier World Title match !! Even with the expected outside interference , this still turned out to be a great main event. Even in defeat Hyobanshi continues to look like an unstoppable force and will Miyamae be able to handle the P.I.N.K monster one on one, when they meet on Thursday's show in Hokkaido. [B][COLOR=red]Result: Kinnojo Horri defeated Miyamae and Toshiharu Hyobanshi in 22:12 when Kinnojo Horri defeated Miyamae by pinfall. [/COLOR][/B] [B][COLOR=red]Rating: A*[/COLOR][/B] The show then ends with Horri standing tall in the ring, as he soaks in his hard fought victory. [B]Rating: C+[/B] [CENTER][B]__________________________________________________[/B][/CENTER] [CENTER][B][SIZE=3][COLOR=magenta]Rating: A[/COLOR][/SIZE][/B][/CENTER] The opening 40 minutes or so of the show, was solid but unspectacular, but things then picked up from the suprisingly great Hell Monkey-Tadakuni Toshusai Openweight contenders match, and everything from was top quality from there onwards. _________________________________________________________________ [B]T.V News[/B]: Lords of the Ring scored an 18.57 rating on Nippon T.V (+0.65) Quite a nice jump up in the ratings, hopefully that trend can continue for a few more weeks as we build towards Night of the Burning Hammer.
