UWF - United We Stand

Recommended Posts

Monday, Week 1, January 2007.
At 10:00 AM EST, independent wrestler Zack Macomber announced the opening of the United Wrestling Federation. The following is quoted from the official press release. “It has always been my dream to open up a wrestling promotion that is not only for the fans, but a proving ground for young wrestlers as well. The United Wrestling Federation is going to be a melting pot for different wrestling styles. I welcome purists, cruisers, high fliers, and hardcore wrestlers to make their ways to the Great Lakes region and join me. I'll be inviting wrestlers to come up and try out for the next two weeks, and then I'll be holding open tryouts for the following week and a half. Our first show will be the last Friday of the month. I hope to hear from everyone soon.” -Zack Macomber
A note as to what I'm doing here. The beginning of this dynasty won't be a full write up scheme. Instead, it will follow the type of format we have all seen and love from such notable writers as infinitywpi, because when we first started writing these for 2004, we both did CZCW, his lasted longer than mine. Hahaha. Anyway, once I get into my groove, and hopefully some cash, I'm going to boost things up to a fuller style. Basically, I just want to have the history of the UWF down and be able to build off it when my cards get to be stronger.

Dear Steve, I've finally got it all started up. I promised you I wouldn't be some sort of failure. I couldn't see myself wrestling once every few months hoping to move up. I think I'm better than that. So I pulled the trigger on the UWF. I know I don't have very many contacts, but I think I can do it. I'd be honored if you ever get the chance to come out and check things out. I've already gotten some guys to make a commitment to the promotion, they aren't the most talented bunch, but they've all got heart. I don't have a whole lot of money, but all the research I've done says I can at least not lose my shirt if I stay smart. You once told me that $2500 is all I need to run a show, and that's what I have. I'm going to stick to my familiar areas, the Great Lakes, mainly Michigan and Ohio. I just wanted to thank you for all that you've taught me. If it wasn't for the knowledge you imparted on me, I wouldn't be here today. Maybe someday, I'll be able to bring a student under my wing and do for him what you've done for me. Sincerely, Zack

New Arrivals to the UWF. It's been six months and we've grown, but how do our new competitors fit in? Ben Williams (F) – The Bump Machine is basically just around to make others look good. He has competent flying skills and good mic skills, but not enough talent to soar. Maybe he'll be able to improve, and that's what we're hoping. He is, of course, an underdog in the midcard. He's also being managed by Robert McMahon. Teams with Crash Lewis as Crash and Burn. Crash Lewis (F) – Crash is a poor wrestler all around, but he has some popularity to fall back on (though not much). He's being managed by Robert McMahon and trying to prove himself in the main event. Teams with Ben Williams as Crash and Burn. Robert McMahon (F) – This incredibly talented young manager is new to the scene, but his mic skills are amazing. The fact that he's working for beans is wonderful. He uses his quick Irish wit to confound adversaries. The Gremlin (H) – He's hardcore, he's got some physical prowess, and the intangibles, but not much other talent. He's young, so he could get better, but it remains to be seen. He's an extremist working in the lower midcard. They're here and they're willing to work for what we are willing to pay, so welcome them.
