Next month is the UWF Champion's Cup. The winner of this annual tournament is seen as the most dominant force in the company. Last year's winner, Steve Flash, has held an impressive 5-1-1 record since his Champion's Cup victory. His path to victory was Nomad, Zack Macomber, and finally Casey Valentine. He is looking to repeat in the second coming of the Champion's Cup. We at the UWF offices are extremely excited for this year's cup and are pleased to announce the brackets. Nigel Svensson vs. Steve Flash Pecs vs. Zack Macomber Hugh de Aske vs. Gino Montero Casey Valentine vs. Lefty Wilkes Several interesting matches are possible and we're sure it will be one hell of a good show. Remember to mark Thursday, Week 1, April 2010 on your calendar and come out as we make our debut at the Asylum.

So, I guess you're wondering who the Fly Guys are. Well, it's been awhile since I've brought new blood in. And by that, I mean it's been awhile since I did a little write up to explain the new guys, so, here we go. Gino Montero (F) – Son of lucha legend Luis Montero, Gino is an amazing wrestler with top notch charisma. I just wish I would have signed him for a PPA contract to begin with, instead of a Short Term, because he's getting PAID. He'll be worth it though, I know it. Harlem Haynes (H) – Protege of R.K. Hayes, Harlem is a big, mean fighter. He's not one dimensional though, which is really good. He'll be big some day, somewhere. Hugh de Aske (H) – Forgot to do a blurb about Hugh. He's a wrestling pirate, but not here. Here he's pirate royalty. He's a great all around wrestler with good entertainment skills. As long as Dave doesn't make his head too big, I want to keep him around. Super Fly (F) – AKA Amazing Fire Fly. He's a very acrobatic luchador. He's basically a one-trick pony, but being one half of the Fly Guys could help him out. Ultra Fly (F) – The other half of the Fly Guys. The British half is the less talented of the duo, but he's not that bad of a cruiserweight. Sidenote: I really wanted to bring in Spirit of the Lizard and Shark, but right as I was going out to pick up a new tag team, Exodus 2010 opened up and got Lizard to be loyal to them. Super lame, I know.

In a rarity, Zack called for a backstage meeting after the show. He usually just left notes for people in their pay about what would be up for them next time. However, now, things looked to be different. There was a glimmer of hope in his eyes. Zack: “We've been in business for 3 and a half years. I think in that time, those that have been in and out of this company have felt that my goal is to make us a viable place for fans and wrestlers alike to come and have fun. I've been feeling the squeeze lately, as we've upgraded venues. However, I think it's for the best. I also think that we've stumbled upon the fact that at our current size, we can run two shows a month without a problem or fear of losing money. I think everyone can agree that having a second show wouldn't hurt anyone's pocketbook.” The wrestlers murmur their agreement. Zack: “The question is, would anybody be opposed to trying a weekly show?” The locker room busts into talk. Nobody speaks up to Zack for a moment, until Nomad breaks his voice up. Nomad: “Hey man, I'm working in Canada too, and their my top priority. I won't be able to do the drive back and forth that many times a month.” Tommy: “Nomad, I do the same drive, and I'd be more than happy to do the duty.” Nomad: “That's because you're a nobody. I'm in demand. I can't be on the beck and call of this company, which hasn't used me in months.” Tommy and Nomad shoot angry looks at each other as everyone else goes back to their dull hum. Casey: “Hell, I'm up for it, I may work for USPW, but it's the UWF that gave me my first break. Who here can't say that?” Steve Flash looks around the room and decides it better to just keep quiet. Casey: “Hell, how many guys have been molded into the kind of wrestler that the bigger companies want?” The hum begins again. Flash: “I'm going to speak up. I think you should wait a month or two and make sure that our presence in the Great Lakes is still going to be pulling in the crowd. I've seen the signs of a downturn around here. I don't want a big decision made and everyone losing their job. The locker room agrees with Steve Flash on the matter. Zack: “The subject is closed. Steve, you make a good point. We'll keep the experiment going. Thank you everyone, see you in two weeks.”
