FROM TNAWCW.COM Friday, Week 1 May 2007 NITRO RETURNS TO MONDAY NIGHTS! 2 HOURS @ 10PM on TNT! "WCW Monday Nitro was a weekly professional wrestling program produced by World Championship Wrestling. The show aired Monday nights on TNT, going head-to-head the World Wrestling Federation's Monday Night Raw from September 4, 1995 to March 26, 2001. Production ceased after WCW was purchased by the WWF. Nitro was created by Ted Turner and Eric Bischoff. Though ratings were poor early on, WCW Nitro improved in mid-1996 and went on to draw better ratings than the WWF for 84 continuous weeks. This lasted until April 13, 1998, when a heated confrontation between the villainous WWF Chairman Vince McMahon and fan favorite Stone Cold Steve Austin dominated WWF programming, as well as the company introducing a new incarnation of the popular faction D-Generation X shifted momentum in the WWF's favor. Besides broadcasting from various arenas and locations across the country (such as the Mall of America in Bloomington, Minnesota, from which the very first episode of Nitro was broadcast) Nitro also did special broadcasts from the Disney-MGM Studios in Orlando in 1996, and did annual Spring Break-Out episodes from Panama City Beach, Florida. On the very first edition of Nitro, Lex Luger (who was working for the WWF without a contract) made a surprise appearance during the Ric Flair vs. Sting match and the program's main event between Hulk Hogan and Big Bubba Rogers..... ....Now WCW Returns and is reborn on the home of WCW TV Action, The Turner Network, TNT! 2 Hours of Top Action with stars such as Brock Lesnar, Sting, Hulk Hogan, Chris Jericho & Many More! The Wait is over....The War is on!"

We only have a few short weeks to wait until we see the hard hitting action that we knew and loved on Nitro.... ...on a side note, WCW have signed former WWE Light Heavyweight Champion Taka Michinoku to a contract to spice up the WCW Cruiserweight Division, this is seen as a huge coup for WCW as Taka is now a huge star in Japan, and is well known in the US. More signings to the cruiserweight division are touted by many sources within WCW.

FROM PWTORCH.COM Saturday, Week 1 May 2007 MISTICO on his way to WCW! The master of La Mistica has landed in USA, and has signed a sensational deal with WCW, under the noses of the WWE! Mistico was given a try out for World Wrestling Entertainment on February 27, 2007 at the ECW/Smackdown Tapings in San Jose, CA, wrestling Dean Malenko in a dark match. He was thought to be in contract negotiations with the WWE but no negotiations could take place when he admitted to John Lauriantas that he still has a CMLL contract, this perhaps was a smoke screen to allow him to join up with WCW. Mistico is one of the most exciting stars in the Pro Wrestling World, and could be the next generation WCW Rey Misterio Jr, The rumours are already rife that Mistico and Taka Michinoku will face WCW Cruiserweight Champion Kid Kash in a triple threat Title Match at Slamboree.... ...What a coup for WCW!

FROM PWTORCH.COM Sunday Week 2 May 2007 WWE/TNA Contract News WWE Announcer Tazz is rumoured to have resigned with the WWE after WCW showed a strong interest in getting Tazz alongside Eric Bischoff & Bret Hart. Tazz refused almost immediately we are told. Interestingly, Kurt Angle hasnt had his TNA contract renewed as of yet. Of course Dixie Carter, TNA President denied we would ever see any TNA Talent venture into WCW unless it was for a reason, but as Angle hasnt accomplished his desired tasks in TNA yet, weve gotta wonder what the inside story is....

FROM PWTORCH.COM Saturday, Week 3 May 2007 We are just approximately 10 days away from the start of the biggest week in WCWs History, with the PPV spectacular Slamboree where the double main event tag team matches are sure to steal the show, and when Nitro returns to TNT the night after Slamboree. ...but today, we have leaked information that former 3minute warning's Matty Anoai, has signed with WCW and is set to be managed by The Great Iron Sheik. Could this be WCWs answer to Umaga? The rumours are that the Sheik will be renamed as the "Shadow" and Matty Anoai, simply as "Anoai"....the duo will wear black clothing and rarely speak on camera.... Pwtorch thinks this sounds like a winner and is interested to see when and if "Anoai" debuts in World Championship Wrestling...

We see a large long white table with the Slamboree back drop behind with various classic moments from the past of WCW. First into a wild ovation from the fans in attendance is Bret "Hitman" Hart & "Easy E" Eric Bischoff, the WCW commentary team.... Ego, I'm liking this. It seems an entirely more realistic project with a storyline I can tag onto. The Double Main Event Brock Lesnar & The Giant w/ Paul Heyman vs Sting & Mick Foley Hulk Hogan & The Warrior vs Chris Jericho & Mark Copani w/ Trish Stratus & Paul Heyman Trouble between Hogan and Warrior? WCW TV Title Match Colt Cabana (C) vs Elix Skipper *Special Guest Referee - "Macho Man" Randy Savage* WCW Tag Team Title Match Impact Players (c) w/ Dawn Marie vs The Revolution w/ Cheerleader Melissa vs The Briscoes vs The New Foundation WCW Cruiserweight Title Match Kid Kash (c) vs Mistico vs TAKA I'd like to go the others, but I think in North America Kid Kash is probably more over and therefore in a sports entertainment promotion the logical pick. WCW Hardcore Title Match - NEW! Roderick Strong vs Bob Sapp vs Sly Terkay vs The American Dragon Because he was funny in the Longest Yard. *Winner becomes first WCW Hardcore Champion Since Rebirth*
Brock Lesnar & The Giant w/ Paul Heyman vs Sting & Mick Foley
lot of different styles in the ring, should be a goodmatch up! H
ulk Hogan & The Warrior vs Chris Jericho & Mark Copani w/ Trish Stratus & Paul Heyman
A tough call really, 'cos Hogan and the warrior are super-over but to be honest, neither of them are exactly stunning in the ring. I'd like to see youth get the upper hand here and with the presence of Trish and Heyman at ringside you should be able to give the youngsters a cheap win!
WCW TV Title Match Colt Cabana (C) vs Elix Skipper *Special Guest Referee - "Macho Man" Randy Savage*
I love Chris Hero, so im gutted he didn't win the title, but i think Colt Cabana should hold on to it here, hes a cracking talent.
WCW Tag Team Title Match Impact Players (c) w/ Dawn Marie vs The Revolution w/ Cheerleader Melissa vs The Briscoes vs The New Foundation
Was tempted to go for the revolution, just because of how much i like Melissa, but Lance Storm is the man!
WCW Cruiserweight Title Match Kid Kash (c) vs Mistico vs TAKA
Im going with the debutant here.
WCW Hardcore Title Match - NEW! Roderick Strong vs Bob Sapp vs Sly Terkay vs The American Dragon
I think Terkay has bucketloads of potential, possibly needs to be stuck with a mouthpiece though.

FROM PWTORCH.COM Friday, Week 4 May 2007 WWE Make Groundbreaking Signings He must be dry, because Scott Hall has signed with the WWE on a short term deal to spice up the roster, expect him to join DX on his debut and hang around for a short while. Fans are said to be very excited that finally a big name has joined DX. WWE has also re-signed Chris Kanyon to a deal which will see him tie up with seemingly doomed ECW Brand. Another signing of Goldust aka Dustin Rhodes was confirmed today, which will see the fan favourite probably retake his place on RAW. Finally, former multi time tag team champion Rick Steiner has signed with the WWE, PWTorch cant quite understand what WWE Creative has in store for the Steiner Brother.
